Speaker 12 Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and thank you for joining us for another episode of Nightcap as you watch the number four Alabama Crimson Tide take down their rival, unranked LSU Tigers by the score of 20 to 9.
Speaker 12 It wasn't the dominant performance that I think a lot of people thought they would get, but this is a rival game. LSU do have supreme talent.
Speaker 12 Obviously, they fired their coach Brian Kelly earlier this year, but I thought they played hard, Ocho, and they gave, put up a valued effort.
Speaker 12
They played really, really well. Alabama Todd Simpson was off tonight.
This is probably the worst game as far as the way he threw the ball.
Speaker 12 He was just a little bit too long or just a little bit too short.
Speaker 12 They could have put this game away earlier if
Speaker 12 they'd have completed some of those passes. But I want to give LSU some credit for coming into
Speaker 12
Bryant Denny and playing extremely well tonight. Nussmeyer was benched late in the ball game.
Van Buren Jr. came in, moved it, but he had a costly fumble at the end of the game.
Speaker 12
It didn't give them an opportunity late in the ballgame. But y'all know who I am.
I'm your favorite Uncle Shannon Sharp, and that is my partner and co-host. That's Liberty City Zone.
Speaker 12
That's Bingo Ring of Fame Honoree, a former Pro Bowler and an all-pro. That's Chad Ocho Cinco Johnson.
We hope Johnny's going to be joining us in a few minutes.
Speaker 12
We thought the game would go a little longer, and so we mistimed it. So he will be joining us a little later.

Speaker 12 We've got Johnny, like as I said, Johnny Menzel will join us shortly. And then Akeem Mezzador, the outstanding defensive lineman from the University of Miami, will join us in the second hour.
Speaker 12 But Ocho, this game we just watched, Alabama beats LSU by the score of 20 to 9. Ryan Williams caught caught his third touchdown of the season.
Speaker 12 That was,
Speaker 12 was that the only score? No, they kicked two field goals and
Speaker 12 they scored another touchdown, I think. Didn't they push the touchdown? Or was it just field goals?
Speaker 12
There was one touchdown pass and a touchdown rush. Yeah, so there were two touchdowns and two field goals.
That was the difference.
Speaker 12 And Alabama's defense did an outstanding job holding LSU to nine points, even though they were in the red zone like four or five times.
Speaker 12 Yeah,
Speaker 12 um and so give those guys credit give alabama defense credit they played really really well tonight got some big time sacks some big time toggle for losses but what did you like about alabama this is a rivalry game i understand the lsu is not ranked and normally we see lsu especially when they play Alabama, they rise to the occasion like they normally do.
Speaker 12
You look at those guys, they got a lot of guys in the NFL. They got Joe Burrow.
They got Chase. They got Jeddah.
Speaker 12 They got some DB, the wide receivers and DBs. So this is a very talented college program that put elite
Speaker 12 players into the NFL. Right now,
Speaker 12 they just didn't have enough to get over that hump tonight. I thought
Speaker 12
Alabama defense, they played extremely well. You hold that team to nine points.
They bend, but they didn't break. And when they needed to come up with big plays, they came up with big plays.
Speaker 12
But Ocho, now they got a big game, a big test. Yes.
Big, big test next week with Oklahoma coming in town. And we know Oklahoma likes to bring pressure.
Speaker 12 But watching this game, Ocho, what did you like about what you saw from Alabama?
Speaker 13
Listen, Alabama played extremely well. Unk.
Obviously, to me,
Speaker 13 it wasn't as a dominant performance like we're used to seeing Alabama play. Obviously, it's not the same Alabama used to be when Saban was there.
Speaker 13 It was sort of a snooze fest in a sense, Unc when no one was able to score. You know, in the first half, it was going back and forth.
Speaker 13 Obviously, both teams having to feel each other out, similar to a boxing match. But then
Speaker 13 once it opened up,
Speaker 13
Alabama ran the show. I mean, for a team like LSU to only score nine points, only score nine points in a four-quarter game, let you know why Mr.
Kelly was fired. It lets you know why Mr.
Speaker 13 Kelly was fired.
Speaker 13 In the famous words of my good friend, Cam Newton, you know,
Speaker 13 you can't take donkeys to a Kentucky Derby. And that's what it looked like when we watched them earlier today.
Speaker 12 Who is that?
Speaker 12 Look.
Speaker 12 And I think I read something where Brian Kelly said he just didn't get the job done.
Speaker 12 Well, you put a lot of pressure on yourself because you said you wanted to go to LSU because you wanted to compete for a national championship.
Speaker 12 You felt at Notre Dame, you didn't have the horses to run that type of race. Now,
Speaker 12 Freeman have come in and showed you actually do have those type of horses to run that race.
Speaker 12
And it's like, it's not like you're in a conference. You're not in the SEC.
You're not in the Big Ten. You're not even in a conference.
Speaker 12 So all you got to do is as long as you don't lose more than two games, you're probably going to be right there with 12 teams with the 12-team tournament.
Speaker 12 With that being said, Ocho, look, they got to get somebody in there. You're going to probably need to get a name because, considering the name, considering what's in the SEC,
Speaker 12
there are no easy victories because you got Vanderbilt kicking on your door now. You got Texas AM.
You got Oklahoma. You got Texas.
Now you always had Alabama, Georgia.
Speaker 14 Yeah.
Speaker 12
Old Miss Lane Kiffin. Tennessee ain't no easy victory.
There are no easy victories right now. Maybe Mississippi State.
But even Vanderbilt, Vanderbilt used to be everybody's homecoming.
Speaker 12
Vanderbilt opened up first game of the season. Yeah.
Homecoming for somebody.
Speaker 12 That's no longer the case.
Speaker 10 No longer.
Speaker 12 So they're probably, LSU is probably looking to
Speaker 12 get a name. But they get talent, Ocho.
Speaker 12 And it's a...
Speaker 12
Death Valley be rocking. Yes.
The alumni seem to be very supportive. You see the guys come back and hang out.
Shaq's always on the sideline.
Speaker 12 They got dominant baseball program the women's basketball program the track and field program obviously football so they got and you can recruit that area just keep just recruit keep getting those guys from you can't let those guys from louisiana get out of there yeah but you got to go go go to alabama and florida and texas and georgia and get a couple guys but they i i think they're going to probably get look for a name
Speaker 13 i'm glad you said that Not only do they have to look for a name, a name is not going to do it alone. You know, obviously with that name, there has to be
Speaker 13 some type of attraction to want to actually come to LSU. It has to be someone that the players and the parents of those players have a sense of comfortability with, you know what,
Speaker 13 this is a good coach, this is a good school, a good program where my son can go to and play and learn from someone who actually played the game before and can help them achieve not just being a better player, but a better man as well.
Speaker 13
and achieving the and achieving that childhood dream of making it to the next level. And when you talk about great names, I think LSU gets great players, Uncle.
I think they get great players
Speaker 13
like you did say, but I don't think they get enough. They don't get enough because if they got enough, then Mr.
Kelly wouldn't be fired. Because most of the time, coaching can only do so much.
Speaker 13 Coaching can only do so much if you don't have the pieces to compete out there week to week, especially when you play the better teams.
Speaker 14 Especially when you play the better teams.
Speaker 13 And
Speaker 13 you saw the example of that tonight.
Speaker 14 Oh, Joe.
Speaker 14 Yes, sir.
Speaker 12
That man had Jaden Daniels. He had Malik Neighbors.
He had Brian Thomas Jr. and didn't compete for the SEC title.
Okay. What do you mean, talent?
Speaker 14 Wait a minute.
Speaker 13 You heard what you just said?
Speaker 13 You just named a few names, but you have to understand the team that they played that actually were able to beat them when they weren't able to compete for those titles were just as good. And
Speaker 13
they had names just as well that are actually in the NFL. None that I can name right now off the top of my head.
But what I'm saying is the team that they lost to, they had those exact same names.
Speaker 12 Go ahead.
Speaker 13 No, I was saying they had other players that impact positions that made a difference in those games. Jayden Dams was a huge difference.
Speaker 14 He was great.
Speaker 13 He was phenomenal. Heisman trophy winner.
Speaker 12
Yes. You get two tight ends that go in the first round.
You get two tight ends.
Speaker 12
Your quarterback's number two overall. He went to Heisman.
You get two
Speaker 12
wide receivers that go in the first round, Thomas Jr. and Malik Neighbors.
You had a tight end in Mason
Speaker 12 Taylor.
Speaker 12 Who caught the game winning touchdown against your Bengals?
Speaker 12
A high draft pick. They had talent.
Oh, yeah. But I just think the thing is, is, what his words is, the way he coached, the way he talked to people, he's very condescending.
Speaker 12 He's very, you know, what are you doing? What look at me when I talk to you? Come on, man.
Speaker 14 Oh, oh, he old school.
Speaker 12 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 12
You got to be careful how you talk. Look, I understand, but Coach Saban getting it.
Coach Saban got on his guys more when they won than he did when they lost. And
Speaker 12 he ain't, you know, he walking down the sidelines.
Speaker 12 But I just think the guy, watching LSU, and I've seen LSU play a lot this year, LSU played harder tonight than I think they played at any point in time this year.
Speaker 12
Now, I understand they didn't win, but when I watched them tonight, they really, really played hard. I never thought Nussmeyer was a top quarterback.
I don't know what everybody sees in him, Ocho.
Speaker 12 I don't see that.
Speaker 12
But I think... And they just made too many pillars.
Ocho, they had like that left tackle from false stars to hold into,
Speaker 12 he just like was killing them.
Speaker 13 Yeah, say something's wrong with him. And
Speaker 13 I'm going to go back real quick. When we talk about names, when we talk about names and people, again, that's another example.
Speaker 13
You set yourself up for that one. That's another example of you putting your name in a hat and wanting to be that coach of LSU.
No, I don't want to be that coach.
Speaker 13
I'm just saying. I'm just throwing it out.
I'm throwing that tidbit out there.
Speaker 13
When you talk about names that can attract players to a program that can change the trajectory of it where it is right now. And that's something that you could do.
But go ahead. LSU.
Speaker 13 This tonight's game, Alabama LSU. It was somewhat like a Broncos Chiefs game.
Speaker 14 Yeah.
Speaker 13 Or Ravens, a Ravens, Baltimore. I mean, a Ravens, Bengals, Baltimore.
Speaker 13
It's like a goddamn, yeah, it's like a division opponent, someone you know very well. You're familiar with their tendencies and what they like to do.
Therefore, it's going to be close. But
Speaker 13 because of inflicted wounds, in which LSU had a lot of, the game got out of hand.
Speaker 12 Yeah.
Speaker 12
It was still close until the very end. Yeah.
Until that, you know, the guy docked the ball out of his hands.
Speaker 12 sometimes i i just don't get the play calling with alabama i mean a a guy comes in there fresh off the bench and you rush three
Speaker 12 i want a guy that that don't have any time i'm not i'm gonna make him make a decision right now ocho i'm not gonna get him let him get his rhythm come get him come get him i understand
Speaker 12 you don't play you don't prepare for the backup because there was no indication that that nut smile was there's anything wrong with him and obviously that could throw you off but you got tape on him i'm sure you you recruited a guy you know his capabilities but i'm not letting i'm not letting the guy just fresh off the bench get his i'm not rushing three against a guy that's fresh off the bench i'm gonna come heat him up i'm gonna light his ass up absolutely make him pro make him make him process everything a little faster don't let him yeah don't let him be comfortable ocho ryan williams uh and i text you tonight ocho something's going on Yeah, something's going on, Ocho.
Speaker 12 If you really look at Ocho, he's really only playing third downs.
Speaker 12 Harden and Bernard gets the the lion's share of the work. Yeah.
Speaker 12 Ocho, for a guy to play that well in his freshman season, and I get he's only 18 years of age. Yeah.
Speaker 12 Ocho,
Speaker 12 it ain't computing.
Speaker 13 Yeah, it's something. Hey,
Speaker 13 I'm not sure what it is.
Speaker 13 I would love to converse with young bull and see what the issue is because
Speaker 13 to have a regression in what we saw as you know, as a freshman, as a freshman and outstanding to where you were easily the second best receiver in collegiate football across the board.
Speaker 13 Left high school early. You might, you're young, but you on that stage, you showed out every effing week.
Speaker 13 And I'm not sure what happened this year.
Speaker 13 I have no idea. I don't know if the NIA.
Speaker 12 He had three touchdowns in nine games, Ocho.
Speaker 13 He was scoring three. I mean, he had.
Speaker 12
We remember it. We remember what he was last year.
Now, he's had a propensity to drop a few passes, especially late as the season waned on last year. He had a few more drops than he did early on.
Speaker 12 But like the first five games of the season, there were questions like, who's better, Jeremiah Smith or Ryan Williams? Who's better? Because he was putting up those type of numbers.
Speaker 12
And obviously, you know, Jeremiah Smith has been sensational. Not only his freshman year, he's picked right up where he left off.
And he's even been beat even better this year around.
Speaker 12 He's going to win the Balitnikov award and rightfully so but i i don't and and and chat i get it he called a touchdown but do y'all realize how do y'all realize what you saw last year with your own eyes and you're happy that a guy another year under his belt in this same system in three game in nine games only has three touchdowns
Speaker 13 yeah i it i i that's it's hard to pinpoint i'm just being honest i think i'm it's hard to pinpoint especially with him not getting the amount of plays he got last year yeah the fact that he's not being an impact player the way he was last year, I think maybe the drops have gotten to him.
Speaker 13 Obviously,
Speaker 13 when you're that young and you're making those kinds of plays, especially like you made last year, once you lose that confidence, it's extremely, extremely hard to get it back.
Speaker 13 Hey, Johnny, you coming from a bar mitzvah?
Speaker 12
It's wedding season. A damn early Christmas party or something.
It's wedding season. I like it.
I like it. I like it.
It's wedding season.
Speaker 12 Yours?
Speaker 14 No, baby. Not hell no.
Speaker 12 Hey, congratulations, Johnny.
Speaker 13 You got married?
Speaker 14
Man, I Scott Stellboys out in both. Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Time when you're a neck of the woods. Bring that smart car over.
Come on.
Speaker 12 What's up? Johnny,
Speaker 12
Alabama won by the score of 20 to 9. Ty Simpson did not have his best, his most accurate day.
He had some opportunities for some big plays. He was a little long on some, a little short on others.
Speaker 12
He just seemed a little off. He didn't play bad.
He didn't play to the Ty Simpson level that we're used to seeing him play at. I thought LSU played really well.
Speaker 12
Considering what they've gone through, a coaching change, you know, an interim coach in there. Sometimes you get interim, they play hard.
Sometimes they just fall completely apart and get blown out.
Speaker 12 But this is a rival game. Alabama, LSU, and it's normally some of the top athletes that's in the country or in the SEC in this ball game.
Speaker 12 I don't know if you saw any of them happen, but what do you think about 20 to 9 Alabama beats LSU?
Speaker 14 I think what we're seeing in the SEC right now, what we saw the rest of the day from other teams, we got AM,
Speaker 14 we got Alabama. We're going to meet in Atlanta.
Speaker 14
That's the way I see it right now. Alabama, good squad.
I think they get through the rest of their schedule unfaded.
Speaker 12
They got Oklahoma next week. They got Oklahoma.
They got a Black Profit, and then they got
Speaker 14
there. No way Oklahoma is playing with Bama this next weekend.
You want a lock of the week before we even start or get to the next?
Speaker 12 Nah, nah, nah. Stop it.
Speaker 14 Bama is not going down to OU next week, no matter what.
Speaker 13 Wait, wait, Johnny, so what are you saying? If I was the bedman, man, so if I wanted to put the house, if I wanted to put the house, I wanted to put my pink slips on a team to win next year.
Speaker 13 I mean, next week, are you saying that Oklahoma doesn't have a chance against Alabama?
Speaker 14 Bama money line.
Speaker 12 Oh, Joe, you got a pod?
Speaker 14 A who?
Speaker 12
A pod. Because you need to put your furniture in there because your house is going to be gone.
Don't you listen to Johnny?
Speaker 12 Man, don't you, don't you, don't you listen to Johnny talking about that's a lock of the week.
Speaker 14 Wait, hold on, Uncle So, Unc, you think Oklahoma had the chance of going in?
Speaker 12 I mean, yeah, because the defense.
Speaker 14 Okay, the defense.
Speaker 12
Brent Villables is a pressure guy. Johnny, you know this.
Brent Villables is a good one.
Speaker 14 Did South Carolina have a chance next weekend versus Texas AM?
Speaker 12 No.
Speaker 13 No, hell no.
Speaker 14 That's the same shit we're talking about.
Speaker 12 No, no, no, no.
Speaker 12
Hell no. OU is much better.
OU is much better than South Carolina.
Speaker 12 I was going to see if you didn't catch that.
Speaker 14 I'm just testing you tonight, huh?
Speaker 12 Yeah.
Speaker 12 But let's talk about it.

Speaker 17 Some moments in your life stay with you forever.
Speaker 17 In a special segment of On Purpose, I share a story about a book that changed my life early in my journey and how I was able to find the exact same edition on eBay years later.
Speaker 17 There are certain books that don't just give you information, they shift the way you see the world. I remember reading one when I was younger that completely changed me.
Speaker 17
Years later, I found myself thinking about that book again. I wanted the same edition back.
Not a reprint, not a different cover, that exact one.
Speaker 17
So I started searching and that's when I found it on eBay. That's what I love about eBay.
It's not just a marketplace, it's a place where stories live.

Speaker 12 Your team, the Texas AM, the Aggies beat Missouri 38-17, the number three Aggies 9-0 for the first time since 1992.
Speaker 12 And just for the fifth time in school history, Texas AM is the only team in the country with three road wins over AP-ranked teams, including a win over number 10 now, Notre Dame in South Bend.
Speaker 12 Johnny, you had to be impressed with what you saw today. Marcel Reed was sensational.
Speaker 14 I got to see maybe 10, 12 drives of the game today.
Speaker 14
Started out really early, Missouri. A ⁇ M tried to run the ball and force their will a little bit, and it was stymy.
The first drive of the game came out, started slow, a little rough.
Speaker 14 Man, when you get that A ⁇ M team, that A ⁇ M offense running and giving them some space, letting their guys and their playmakers do what they need to do, you start to see some deadly weapons.
Speaker 14 You start to see some guys who, you know, you saw early in the game, they're starting to hold as they're running these routes and these deep digs and stuff.
Speaker 14 Like, they know, because of film, what what this Texas AM team is. Now, can Marcel come out and throw a dot every single time? He's going to have his misses here and there, but this AM team, right?
Speaker 14 There ain't no layoff. All I kept hearing out in the streets this week, Unc, you know what I kept hearing?
Speaker 12 What?
Speaker 14 Upset alert. Yeah.
Speaker 14
Upset alert. Upset alert.
This, that. I'm like,
Speaker 14
you guys got it so fucked up. Excuse my language.
The most
Speaker 14
Texas AM, this is a real football team. This is a good football team.
This ain't even me being a homer. If you look at the facts of what it is, black and white
Speaker 14 team is good from top to bottom, special teams, well-coached, everything you want. But as you're going to say,
Speaker 14
so is Ohio State. Couldn't agree with you more.
Guess what? So is Indiana. Couldn't agree with you more.
Speaker 14 There's three teams that are very, very, very solid and a couple more that are trailing behind trying to piece it up.
Speaker 12 And undefeated.
Speaker 12
Marcel Reed was 20 of 29, 221, two touchdowns. R.O.
II ran 13 times for 102 yards. You guys were outstanding.
Speaker 12 I talked to him tonight.
Speaker 14 I talked to him tonight.
Speaker 12 Did you?
Speaker 14 Yeah, I was like, are we going to wear matching suits when we go to New York or are we just going to keep it casual and Aggie and show love to the family?
Speaker 14
Have you going? Because I'm pulling up off the jet this December in New York to Times Square with my dog in tow. Marcel is coming, and there ain't no way he does it.
Hold on, you, you
Speaker 13 Hold on.
Speaker 13 You say he's coming, right?
Speaker 12 Yeah.
Speaker 13 In Times Square.
Speaker 12 Uh. Huh?
Speaker 13 What's in Times Square?
Speaker 12 Times Square?
Speaker 14 Where that's at?
Speaker 12 In New York.
Speaker 14 Oh, I'm tripping.
Speaker 12 What are you thinking?
Speaker 14 I don't know.
Speaker 13 I heard Jet and
Speaker 13 I was thinking something else. I'm like, well, where are we going?
Speaker 12
You must be thinking, you real early. Hell, you must be thinking about New Year's Eve.
I was.
Speaker 12 The only thing dropped on New Year's is for me is my eyelids on my eyeballs. That's what drops.
Speaker 13 Oh, wait, no, not this year.
Speaker 12 Man,
Speaker 12 what does New Year's Eve follow, Ash? Please don't tell me a Saturday. Please don't tell me a Thursday.
Speaker 12 hey you hey
Speaker 12 hell no
Speaker 13 exactly i've already did a unknown i've already did my homework i scouted out the dates and the fact that you off probation so when the ball drops hey listen we gotta be happy
Speaker 13 hey ocho can i get all the way in the door 2026 you got me like this here oh no no no no you out you got one fit in one fit out i know can i get all the way in no no no no no we ain't got time for that listen when that ball drop we going back we going back to we got going back to old unknown hey, I need to open up.
Speaker 13 Here's the only real question: y'all gonna come with me this year?
Speaker 14 You come to Heisman, y'all checking on to the Heisman with me this year.
Speaker 12 Who gonna win?
Speaker 14 Marcel.
Speaker 12 Oh, you I don't know right now. After what Mendoza did, Johnny, he got to leave.
Speaker 13 Hey, Mendoza, let me go.
Speaker 14
It's over. I told you last week our test is coming in Austin.
His moment is in Austin. Yeah,
Speaker 14 when we put you in the dirt, it's in Austin. And then
Speaker 14 it's us, and it's up.
Speaker 12 Your pass defense was sensational.
Speaker 12
Zolos was 7-22 for 77 yards. Your rush defense, Johnny, you had two guys over 100 yards.
One was 17 for 110. The other was 13 for 109.
Both have a touchdown.
Speaker 12 So you're going to probably need to clean that up.
Speaker 12 But you guys can, hey, I don't know number nine's name off the top of my head, but he's going to be a nice one. Cash is how.
Speaker 14 What's his name? Cash is Howell.
Speaker 12 Yeah, man. He can bend that edge, man.
Speaker 14 He's a first-round pick for sure.
Speaker 12 Yeah, man.
Speaker 14
Wait till he goes. You let him loose.
That's a real dog right there. They got on the edge.
He's one of the best in the country, for sure.
Speaker 12 So A ⁇ M, Indiana, and Ohio State, I think they're the only teams that's undefeated
Speaker 12 in the poll, correct?
Speaker 12 So
Speaker 12 those are your top three teams.
Speaker 12 And A ⁇ M looked really impressive tonight going on the road. Mizzou ranked Mizzou.
Speaker 12 That tells me a lot.
Speaker 12 And Coach Elco did a great job of having his guys prepared. No letdown.
Speaker 12 When you guys play Texas next week or the week after?
Speaker 14 November 28th.
Speaker 12 Oh, Thanksgiving. Oh.
Speaker 14 Day after Thanksgiving on Friday.
Speaker 12
Oh, okay. Okay.
So that, oh, so yeah, so that's
Speaker 12 a NFL's got a game on Black Friday, too.
Speaker 12 There'll be a lot to talk about
Speaker 12
with that game. But yeah, Johnny, you guys look good.
Texas AM look really, really good.
Speaker 14
Take care of business. As we've said, what the Aggies need to do.
Everybody's scared. Are we good enough? Are we this? Are we that? Just put your head down.
Go play the game. Go try and win.
Speaker 14
Do your best. Do what you need to do and figure it out.
It's simple.
Speaker 14 Let the chips fall.
Speaker 14 But right now, the way we're playing, they're physical, man. They want to go out on Saturday afternoons and bust somebody in their mouth.
Speaker 14 Cash is how those boys on the D-line, A ⁇ M's linebacking core. That's a solid group.
Speaker 12 For sure.

Speaker 17 Some moments in your life stay with you forever. In a special segment of On Purpose, I share a story about a book that changed my life early in my journey.
Speaker 17 and how I was able to find the exact same edition on eBay years later. There are certain books that don't just give you information, they shift the way you see the world.
Speaker 17
I remember reading one when I was younger that completely changed me. Years later, I found myself thinking about that book again.
I wanted the same edition back.
Speaker 17
Not a reprint, not a different cover, that exact one. So I started searching, and that's when I found it on eBay.
That's what I love about eBay.
Speaker 17
It's not just a marketplace, it's a place where stories live. Shop eBay for millions of finds, each with a story.

Speaker 19 So the last time you had a trans guy on here and you were saying at the top of the episode that you've hooked up with trans guys, but you haven't.
Speaker 19 And I am curious to know if that has changed.
Speaker 18 That has changed dramatically.
Speaker 20 Okay, she's chasing, but...
Speaker 19 No, no, no, no, no. I'm kidding.
Speaker 20 I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
Speaker 19
So funny because that is literally what stopped them for so long. They're like, I don't want to feel like I'm fetishizing anymore.
I'm like, Chris, these people want to get fucked.
Speaker 20 fucked. They definitely do.
Speaker 20 For sure.
Speaker 19 And we're also really easy.
Speaker 18 You can listen to Snippy's Cruising Confession, sponsored by Healthy Sexual from Gilead Sciences, now on the iHeartRadio app, or wherever you hear your podcast. New episodes every Thursday.
Speaker 12 Fernando Mendoza authored his Heisman Trophy moment, marching the Hoosiers 80 yard down the field with 115 left for a go-ahead touchdown to Omar Cooper Jr.
Speaker 12
to give Indiana a thrilling 27-24 victory on the road at Penn State is the Hoosiers' first ever victory at Happy Valley. That was an unbelievable catch.
That was an unbelievable throw.
Speaker 12 And he made several unbelievable throws and guys made several unbelievable catches. Oh, Joe and Johnny, you know this.
Speaker 12
Sometimes in a game-winning drive, you're going to have to have moments, catches like that. You're going to have to have throws like that.
But that catch.
Speaker 12 That catch to elevate like he did and the guy was trying to push him out of bounds, but he's like, nah, nah, i'm gonna get these i didn't he didn't get one of them he got both contests right here let me touch something
Speaker 13 hey hey
Speaker 13 that was the perfect
Speaker 13 hey unc that was the perfect throw
Speaker 13 it was the perfect catch if a lot of people won't say oh the catch it wasn't good and not it wasn't good it was a bad throw actually that's the only place you can put that ball yes it only pays you you got to put you got to put it high
Speaker 14 away from defender
Speaker 13 exactly exactly where only the receiver can get to it the fact that the receiver had the wherewithal with the push coming from behind
Speaker 13 to be able to get his left toe, to get his left toe down and keep that right foot up just a smidge to make sure it doesn't hit out first,
Speaker 13 man,
Speaker 13 that was legendary.
Speaker 13 That's one of the better catches I've seen in college, you know, in a very, very long time.
Speaker 12 With the what's at stake. The money's on the line.
Speaker 14 Yeah.
Speaker 12 Go ahead, Johnny. What'd you want to say?
Speaker 14 Nah, with what's at stake, though, with what's coming up, right?
Speaker 14 Should it concern Indiana fans that they were in a battle like that with penn state a team that we know what they are yes i get it conference games you come out you win them sure but the showdown is versus oh state you know how you have to play against them yes should it concern you that indiana is battling in dog fights with penn state which is in the kiddie pool Well,
Speaker 12
that's really the only dog fight they've had. And you know, everybody has one of those.
And if before
Speaker 14 Ohio State stepped the locker room it's needed for morale it's needed for everything throughout the season you look back at it and you go woof that was the bullet we dodged but we got the dub that happened to us against louisiana tech my heisman year it was like did that just happen
Speaker 14 but it did but we won so i understand that that was just my question of like
Speaker 14 indiana is solid but
Speaker 14 we've seen we've seen penn state this year we've talked about it on the show
Speaker 13 but listen hey every every day every every dog has their day every squirrel gets another
Speaker 13 every blue moon. Indiana and all the games they've been in, they most they've mostly been blowouts, huh?
Speaker 12 They're blowing out, yep, Johnny.
Speaker 13 They've mostly been blowouts, so it's good to get this taste and get out your mouth to have a game like this where you got to bite down and you got to make the plays necessary to make sure you win the game.
Speaker 13 So, they've never been in this kind of situation.
Speaker 14 And I'm not an Indiana hater, I'm rooting for them for a short like that to be where they are and go do what they're doing.
Speaker 12 Techneti, by all means, go hoist that,
Speaker 12 Johnny. Remember, remember last week, Ocho,
Speaker 12
it took late the third quarter and the fourth quarter for Ohio State to pull away. And think about some of the catches that Jeremiah Smith was making.
He caught a carom.
Speaker 12
They hit two, three people with two guys around him and got into the end zone. So Penn State played really, really hard for two and a half quarters.
They were on the road.
Speaker 12 Now at home, because Indiana couldn't get separation early on, you know, Johnny, Ocho, the longer a team that's the underdog can stay in the game, the harder they're going to fight.
Speaker 12 And now you start to tighten up because you're like, damn, we supposed to.
Speaker 12
Why y'all playing so hard now? Y'all been giving up all the other time. Now y'all want to play us hard.
Now we're in the third quarter and we're not up by 50 like we normally are. It's not a
Speaker 12 60 to 14 ball game, and our starters are out of the ball game. Our starters are playing, and we got our hands full with a team that we know aren't going anywhere.
Speaker 14 Listen, I can tell you in three weeks in Austin, we're going to be in a dogfight. We're going to be in a different goes back
Speaker 14 to
Speaker 14 I can tell you I see AM's future.
Speaker 14
That's what it's going to be. We're going to have those battles, but I agree.
From my question to where it is now, I agree. This is a good thing for Indiana.
You have to have it.
Speaker 12 Yeah,
Speaker 12 I'm going to pull up some
Speaker 12 Mendoza was 19 of 3218, one touchdown, one interception, 31 rushes, 100.
Speaker 14 Not a high yard, but I don't know.
Speaker 12 I mean,
Speaker 14
it's a good game. It's a solid win.
It's a dub. It ain't no highs and moments.
Speaker 12 Hey, Johnny, you're down.
Speaker 12
You're on the road. I feel it.
Those throws, hey, 80 yards at a minute, 15. With that throw, that catch, hey, I'm going to put it at the bottom of the upright.
You climb the elevator. You climb
Speaker 12 the ladder and go get it, son.
Speaker 12 I need you.
Speaker 14
I need you. You need me.
I put it up there. You go get it.
You got a top shelf, but I got to put it there.
Speaker 12
But here's the thing, though, Johnny. He was already the favorite coming in, and he hadn't had a moment.
Now, I'm not, you said you believe that Marcel will have his moment against Texas.
Speaker 17 It's coming.
Speaker 12 Okay.
Speaker 14 It's coming. Oh, sure.
Speaker 14 I'm going to stand on it right now.
Speaker 12 I'm not.
Speaker 14
I'm going to stand on it. Of course.
I want to see a third Heisman be brought back to Aggie Land. What?
Speaker 12 Come on.
Speaker 14 John David Crowe and me, that relationship I had with him.
Speaker 12 John David Crowe.
Speaker 14 Another person in the school that won a high school with me, that was cool as hell.
Speaker 14
My family, everybody got to meet John David, be around him, his family. He was a great man, good dude.
That fraternity is something special.
Speaker 14
I want another one of my brothers in there with me for sure. So I'm starting the campaign.
I'm going to preach about it on here every Saturday night.
Speaker 12 10 to 15 p.m.
Speaker 14 Eastern.
Speaker 12 One of your other favorites, the number 16 Vanderbilt Commodores playoff hopes are still alive after they pulled out a 45-38 overtime win over over Auburn.
Speaker 12 Vandy weathered 442 yards of offense and four touchdown scores by Ashton Daniels.
Speaker 12 Diego Pavia was the hero delivering 377 passing yards, 11.2 per attempt, running for a team high 112 yards, accounting for four touchdowns, including the game winner in overtime.
Speaker 12 Johnny, you got, he did it.
Speaker 14 Yeah.
Speaker 14
Been talking to him the last couple of days, too. We're pretty tapped in still.
Oh, he's
Speaker 14
still there. Yeah.
One bad loss is still there. Go grind it out.
Let's sneak in the back side of this thing. 10 seed, 8 seed, 9 seed.
Speaker 14
You can go play. Just get into the playoff.
You got to buckle down. They looked terrible last week.
And for them to come out there and do that this week, 377, 75% of his passes. Yeah.
Speaker 14 Three touchdowns. No picks.
Speaker 14 He rushes it for 112. So we're at 490 yards offense in a day.
Speaker 12 Yep.
Speaker 14
Bring your hat, your lunch pail, the bucket, the shovel, because you did it all. That's a day from a QB right there.
And another one on the ground, four.
Speaker 12 And
Speaker 12 that's a good point.
Speaker 14 Needed every one of them.
Speaker 12 You did. You did.
Speaker 12 Auburn was up big. I think Auburn was up like 10, 14 at one point in time.
Speaker 12 And then slowly, next thing you know, it probably shouldn't have got to overtime, but give Auburn credit because Pavier, they went for it on fourth down,
Speaker 12
Johnny Ocho, trying to get it. He kind of stumbled, and that was enough to throw him off.
And they got him, and he had to turn it over on downs.
Speaker 12 But when they got that ball in overtime, he knew what to do. He's like, you know what? I ain't giving y'all another chance.
Speaker 12 I'm going to put y'all to bed.
Speaker 14 You saw it a little bit. You know, like when they get that, the one thing about Vandi is when they get that
Speaker 14 from
Speaker 14 front of the roster to the end of the roster, they're not the best team in college football.
Speaker 14 But when they start to play with a little bit of rhythm and like energy and excitement, like we've seen fourth quarter of the Texas game something like towards the end of that game they show little flashes and little sparks of being really really solid all in all throughout
Speaker 12 yeah um he had two receivers go over 100 yards Richardson three catches 124 touchdowns stowers had 12 for 122
Speaker 12 Cheryl had four for 75 on a touchdown they I mean look he can throw it obviously he got legs i mean you know i i can see why you gravitate towards him johnny because he probably reminds you a lot of yourself and talking to him that's what oh joe and i said yeah hey but he was he was live johnny but when we had him on the show i'm talking about live not what you expect you know when you talk to a quarterback especially you know in in college but he reminded me of you mixed with a little baker mayfield i'm trying to think who else
Speaker 13 who else can we throw in there that's that's very very confident
Speaker 12 in that piece like he got it all he's got a little broadway joe probably maybe a little bit yeah yeah yeah he's he's very confident he has fun i can see why his teammates like him you know he was having a good time.
Speaker 12
He's like, hey, we get ready to go party. You know, hey, we got to win.
Hey, we're going to party. We're going to have a good time.
But then, hey, we'll put this come Sunday.
Speaker 12 We'll put this behind us and we'll get ready for the next week. But
Speaker 12
he was sensational. He was sensational.
And I agree with you.
Speaker 12 I think he's going to be one of those guys.
Speaker 12 I think he has a great chance to be
Speaker 12 at the downtown athletic club, Johnny.
Speaker 14 I agree as well. I think what he's done throughout the season, the wins they've had, the way he's played, the player that he is, if the award goes to, you know,
Speaker 14 probably have
Speaker 14 this year, you could have three to five finalists, depending on how the end of the season plays out.
Speaker 12 Yeah.
Speaker 14 If there's five finalists, Diego Pavia absolutely deserves to be in New York.
Speaker 14 I think if you're looking at one of the most outstanding players in football, we have a small collection right now of what you would say based on their performance throughout this year that brings them to New York.
Speaker 14 I would feel like, in my opinion, he gets one of those spots if it's five.
Speaker 12 Even if it's three.
Speaker 12 Ah, the number five Georgia Bulldogs on the road took down the Mississippi State Bulldogs by the score of 41-21.
Speaker 12 Gunner Stockton throwed three touchdown passes as the number five Georgia beat Mississippi State. Georgia surrendered a touchdown on its opening drive of the game and then scored 38 straight points.
Speaker 12 It's complete missed match on both sides of the football. Other Bulldogs scoreless on
Speaker 12 six consecutive possessions while scoring five straight touchdowns. The Bulldogs had 305 rushing yards, averaged 7.3 yards per carry, with Nate Frazier running for 181 yards and only 12 carries.
Speaker 12 181 yards on 12 effing carries. That's embarrassing.
Speaker 14 Hey.
Speaker 13 Long day at the office.
Speaker 12
44 rush attempts, 303 yards, and Gunnar Stockton had 264 yards passing and three touchdowns. And he's had three straight passing touchdowns and three consecutive games.
So, George's all men.
Speaker 14 I mean, if you're in Mississippi State, all you can really say is,
Speaker 14 man, it'd be like that sometimes.
Speaker 12 They better ring them cowbills louder, Johnny.
Speaker 14 It'd be like that.
Speaker 14 Our shit won't ring in the day.
Speaker 12 You know, look,
Speaker 12 George's defense,
Speaker 12 that's what they're known for.
Speaker 14 You see them. They got their flashes where they're dangerous.
Speaker 12
They can hit you with a big play over the top, with a pass. They're a turnover machine.
Obviously, they can run it.
Speaker 14 Would you say, Johnny? They're a turnover machine if they want to be. They have guys out there that can get some mismatches and make some plays and really disrupt the game for sure.
Speaker 13 Yeah, they have those guys, though, Johnny and Unk, but they're not consistent, though.
Speaker 14
I couldn't agree with you more. Yeah, they're not consistent.
But in flashes, you see it, and you're like, whoa, Big Play versus Florida.
Speaker 12 Like, okay.
Speaker 14 You see it, but no they have not been consistent at all but to be honest as we know it's late in the season you know and your team is defined of what you are right now georgia knows what they are where they're weak this and that there's things they can clean up to go on a run this back half of the season for sure right
Speaker 12 i look there's a possibility georgia doesn't make the sec championship but they're going to the college football playoffs agreed
Speaker 14 hold on um
Speaker 13 you say they they they might they might not make this a chance they might not make
Speaker 12 AM wins out and George and Alabama wins out, they're gonna play for the title. That's right, because they don't have any losses in the Texas beats.
Speaker 14 If Texas beats AM, that's Georgia's best chance of getting in.
Speaker 12 Yes, I agree,
Speaker 12 and so they theoretically could not, and that's the thing. You know,
Speaker 14 doesn't Georgia have a big matchup with Texas next week?
Speaker 12 Do they?
Speaker 14 Isn't that Georgia Texas soon?
Speaker 12 I think
Speaker 14 I thought they play.
Speaker 12 I don't think they got
Speaker 14 what's the rest of Georgia schedule.
Speaker 12 I think they still got like
Speaker 14
Texas. Next week versus Texas.
Oh, yeah, Texas at Georgia. At home, 7.30 next Saturday.
We'll see you after that one.
Speaker 13 Who you got? Who you got, Johnny?
Speaker 13 What's the money line? What's the money line?
Speaker 14 In that game right now, if I'm looking at teams, you definitely know I ain't putting my horns up, brother. I'm taking Georgia to
Speaker 14 them. Yes.
Speaker 14
Just go ahead and get Texas out of this playoff race that they think they're in. Because their game is their season.
Their season is on the line next Saturday. And this ain't, it is what it is.
Speaker 14 As an Aggie,
Speaker 14 gig them. Yeah.
Speaker 14 We're going to the playoff. Bags packed, hotels.
Speaker 14 What?
Speaker 14 Texas, your season ends on Saturday.
Speaker 12 Your first game will be at home, Johnny. You ain't got to go far.
Speaker 14
Farmers fight, brother. We are going to be there in full force, 100,000 strong.
We got home field advantage for real. Texas season, it ends Saturday.
Speaker 12 You're going to make sure you put a steak in them on the following Saturday.
Speaker 12 That's okay.
Speaker 14
That will play itself out. Rivalry game, get real messy.
Everybody's seen how that goes everywhere around the country forever. It'll be crazy.
It's one of those games that
Speaker 14
it's rivalry week. You never know what could happen.
But we're talking about texas playing georgia next saturday in prime time
Speaker 14 texas has good pieces we spoke about it last week they are a good team this will be a fight of some sort however in my opinion georgia wins texas season it ends
Speaker 12 yeah uh what do you what do you guys think i mean you watching
Speaker 12 their best behavior it's hard to go between the hedges Ain't a whole lot of people that's one between the hedges. Now, Alabama went in there and kind of caught them off guard.
Speaker 12 They turned them over a couple of times, but man, look here, that's a tough place.
Speaker 14 If it was in Austin, I would say Texas has a really good chance to win that game, right?
Speaker 14 Correct, but it but it's not, yeah, so you take them to Georgia, you go on the road in Athens, you walk off the bus,
Speaker 14 you feel that you know what that is. This is a road game in the SEC.
Speaker 14 This ain't you just rolling out of your apartment on 6th Street and going to the facility and getting in your own home and going to play a game versus Vandi, and you crush them.
Speaker 12 No,
Speaker 14 this is hostile enemy territory. So, with all that, all things considered, no, I like Georgia.
Speaker 13 I think if Texas has any chance, you know, it
Speaker 13 comes down to the quarterback play.
Speaker 12 He's got to go over 800, have
Speaker 14 plus TDs, and no picks.
Speaker 13 Hey, what archmanning are we going to get? What archmanning are we going to get?
Speaker 13 And he has to put this team on his back offensively, and he has to wheel them to a win if they're going to have a chance. You already know what George is going to do.
Speaker 13 They're going to be on you. You know what?
Speaker 13 They're going to put pressure.
Speaker 13 Yeah,
Speaker 13
the receivers on the outside haven't stood out enough for me to make a difference in the game. Like, to me, there's no, ain't no Jamar Chase.
There's no Justin Jefferson. There's no CeeDe Lamb.
Speaker 13 Like, I'm talking about that guy.
Speaker 13 I'm like, that dude. I mean,
Speaker 13
just nobody for them has popped out to me, you know, that can just... Just take a game over.
Like, everything has been Arch Manning has to do this. Arch Manning has to do that.
He has to play better.
Speaker 13 But obviously, what's surrounding him hasn't been up the par as well.
Speaker 6 I agree with you.
Speaker 13 And
Speaker 13 I
Speaker 13 never really want to say that, but it is what it is.
Speaker 12 Yeah.
Speaker 12
He's going to have to play. They're going to have to keep him.
They're going to have to protect him now.
Speaker 13 Got to start. You know, Georgia.
Speaker 12 Georgia keep for front seven.
Speaker 12
They keep a front seven. So you're going to have, you're going to have to protect him.
And he's going to have to play one of those games like
Speaker 12
we said last week. Man, this is the best we've seen Arch Manning look.
Yeah, we're going to have to come back out here again next week and say the exact same thing if they're going to have a chance.
Speaker 14 Only chance. You know, they're not going to go out and rush the ball versus Georgia.
Speaker 12 You know, they're going to go out.
Speaker 14 When I will be sitting here next Saturday looking at the box score, it'll be between 50 and 75 yards of rushing.
Speaker 13 Hey, it's going to have to be better than that, Uncle Johnny.
Speaker 14 Listen,
Speaker 13 yeah, if Georgia is able to dominate and stop the run and makes Texas one-dimensional, it's going to be a long day. It's going to be a very, very long day.
Speaker 14 They ain't ran the ball for nothing all year.
Speaker 12 Nothing.
Speaker 14 You can't run against UTAP. You definitely can't run against Georgia.
Speaker 2 Yeah.
Speaker 12 The number eight Texas Tech Red Raiders, 29. The number seven, BYU Cougars, seven.
Speaker 12 Confirmed the Red Raiders place in the unquestioned team to beat in the Big 12 with games against Central Florida and West Virginia to end December.
Speaker 12 Tech steps into the driver's seat for the conference championship game. The program hasn't won an outright title since the defunct border conference in 1955.
Speaker 12 The Red Raiders were plus three in turnover margin, dominated the line of scrimmage, held BYU to only 3.9 yards per play.
Speaker 12 Patrick Mahomes took to social media to push linebacker Jacob Rodriguez for the Heisman.
Speaker 12 Look, the only defensive
Speaker 12 last year, well, he was mainly defensive guy, but Trav was both. But Charles Woodson was the mainly, the only defensive player, mainly.
Speaker 12
He did play a little bit of special teams, but not like Travis Hunter. He returned punts.
But Charles Woodson became the first and only main defensive player to win the award in 1997. Johnny,
Speaker 12 I'm trying to think, what would it take? Because I thought Indomic and Sue had a great chance. I don't know how much you remember of Indomikin Sue when he was at Nebraska.
Speaker 12 I thought he had the best chance.
Speaker 14
I remember that game in the Big 12 Championship where Colt McCoy threw it out of bounds and it hit the railing. They had to review it to put a second back up.
They put a second game by himself.
Speaker 12 And he almost blocked the field goal.
Speaker 14 It takes something like that. And I definitely been on my phone a lot, and I don't see nothing popping up on X and nothing like that to show me nothing on defense like that.
Speaker 12 Right.
Speaker 12 So
Speaker 12 you had, I think, Manta Taylor. Didn't Manta make it to New York with you? He picked up second.
Speaker 14 Yeah, even
Speaker 14
though I didn't win by that big of a margin either. Decent, but not huge.
He got votes for sure.
Speaker 13 Man, tie it.
Speaker 12 Yeah, it's going to take,
Speaker 12 I mean, you look at Derek. I mean, Derek Thomas one year had 20-something sacks.
Speaker 14
He didn't decide the ball. It takes...
I mean, Travis Watson.
Speaker 12 Yeah,
Speaker 12 you got to be special. I mean, really.
Speaker 14 It takes six to like 12 picks, six to 12 picks with
Speaker 14
a lot. Yeah.
20.
Speaker 12 I mean, because you think about it, DT,
Speaker 12 I'm trying to fake what their record was back then.
Speaker 12 But I think DT, they didn't really keep sacks as a record back then, but I think DT had like 24 25 sacks oh joe in like 12 games in a six in 12 games yeah he was he was
Speaker 12 i don't know i don't know it's just like they didn't keep sacks in the nfl until 1982 yeah so
Speaker 12 well they didn't keep steals they didn't keep three-pointers three-pointer the three-point shot came in in 79 the steals steals came in in like the 70s so um yeah i don't i don't i don't know I understand what Patrick's saying.
Speaker 12 You know, look, he's very excited for his alma mater to be playing extremely well. Now they're in
Speaker 12 Adidas school. Thanks to Patrick.
Speaker 12 You know, I'm sure my homeboy has donated a lot of money to
Speaker 12 that program. But I just don't know.
Speaker 12 I'm going to have to really sit down and just
Speaker 12 watch a couple of games and see what's the hype about Mr. Rodriguez.
Speaker 14
Think about it as a team thing, though. The Heisman thing, I get it.
You're taking care of your boy. It's love.
I get it.
Speaker 14 The team's going to the playoff.
Speaker 14 The rest of their games are UCF and West Virginia.
Speaker 12 You handle business.
Speaker 14
You're at the top of the leaderboard, top of the standings in your conference. You're going to be in the top 12.
You got a chance.
Speaker 12 Got a chance.
Speaker 14
More than anything, forget the awards. That's all great.
What everybody's playing for at the beginning of the year is the big one. to get into the playoff.
That's where it starts.
Speaker 14 And then from there, hopefully you get a good matchup and you go and and you play well and you win it. Texas Tech.
Speaker 14 That's not a season you see in this position very much. A long time since Crabtree and Graham Harrell had them up there.
Speaker 12 Yeah.
Speaker 12 And
Speaker 12 but for a primary defensive player that mainly that's what he does, OJ will have to, if he's a linebacker, he's going to need like two under tackles. He's going to need like five picks,
Speaker 12
five force fumbles, two fumble recoveries. And his team's got to have a record like this.
It's just so hard because offensive guys put up stats. We like like scoring.
Speaker 12 That's why everything has been catered to what? In baseball, they narrowed the strike zone. In football, what do they do? They protect the quarterback, the defensive receiver, the touching.
Speaker 12 They won't scoring.
Speaker 12
They won't score. They don't care.
You know, baseball, it used to be, well, I want to hit 300. Now they just want to hit the ball over the fence.
Speaker 12 Guys getting 50, 60 home runs, batting 240, and they're talking about the MVP.
Speaker 12 You could never win an MVP back in the day with a 240 average. What?
Speaker 14 Yeah.
Speaker 13 I mean,
Speaker 13 you had to to be extremely special. You know, whatever position you play defensively, even be thought of in that category to win something like that.
Speaker 12 But the Red Raiders, hey, my homeboy, hey, ever since he got them, they've been doing somebody.
Speaker 12 I don't know who that booster was, Johnny, they gave that money. They say, look, I'm damn it, I'm tired of Texas Tech finishing at the bottom of the barrel.
Speaker 14 Cody Campbell.
Speaker 14 My dog.
Speaker 14 Hey, you got that paper?
Speaker 12
You might as well expand it. Ocho, that's when we're going to get this, win win this lottery, Ocho.
I'm going to break Savannah State off. Every year, we're going to be HBCU champions.
Speaker 13 Oh, okay, okay, okay. I thought, okay, no,
Speaker 13 I don't know about that.
Speaker 12
Every year, we're going to be HBCU champions. I'm going to give you a little money because I don't want you to go give a stipend to fam you.
So I give you a little something.
Speaker 14
No, no, no, no, no. I'm going to let y'all boys know.
I'll make sure I fam you okay. Just so y'all boys know.
I've been playing.
Speaker 14 What's that? I've been playing.
Speaker 12 Lottery tickets.
Speaker 14
I've been playing. I've been putting in OJ numbers and Unc numbers every week, boy.
Hey, what's the lot?
Speaker 13 What's the lotto at right now?
Speaker 12 We need to go to the bottom. I've been playing 800 billion.
Speaker 14 It was 800 million last time I checked.
Speaker 12 I'd be 800 million. Yeah, 834.
Speaker 14 Serious?
Speaker 12
Yeah, 800. 834.
834, 843.
Speaker 12 It's about 900 million. Now, it's about a billion dollars, Ocho.
Speaker 13 Yeah, hey, see, see, you know what's going to happen for somebody like myself,
Speaker 14 hey, Johnny, I don't play lotto.
Speaker 13 I had no clue on what it might be and so it's funny first timers when first timers go and play out the blue for some reason they always win they always win now it'd be perfect and it'd behoove the good lord to bless me with winning that you you feel me understanding because i want to bless you because i owe you 5900 and i i i'll be it'll be easier so that would have
Speaker 13 it's gonna take you winning a billion dollars to pay me my money yes not only that because you got to think of the good that i would do with that kind of money the good i would do with that kind of money
Speaker 12 No, 900 million, no Joe.
Speaker 14 What?
Speaker 12 900 million.
Speaker 13
Hold on. I need to go play, Uncle.
When the next drawing?
Speaker 12 Who?
Speaker 12 When the next drawing? Drawing is Monday, I think.
Speaker 14 I'm playing for you every week, bro. These are hours.
Speaker 12
This is not a matter of time. That's the only thing.
That's the only thing
Speaker 12 that I hate about
Speaker 12 Vegas, that you can't play the lottery.
Speaker 14 You can't play 88 six times, though.
Speaker 13 Hey, see, this is the good thing, Johnny. And
Speaker 13 you don't need to play the lotto. You don't need to, because if i win you good i mean no hold on matter of fact let me let me let me my mouth to god's ears when i win we good
Speaker 12 we good hey johnny johnny you want to i can't give you a lump sum ojo because i don't want you to help fam you i want savannah state to be top of the food chain listen my money going to fam you first huh that's why i want to win it because i have to ration you out because i don't want you making no big large donation to family savannah state get first dibs what's the first thing you doing You win that.
Speaker 14 I know what I'm doing.
Speaker 12 The first thing I'm doing?
Speaker 12 Yeah.
Speaker 12 Ash is now the CEO of Shea Shea Media, and I'm out.
Speaker 12 What about you? What about you?
Speaker 12 Ash and George. Yeah.
Speaker 13 I mean, honestly,
Speaker 13 all jokes, I'm not even playing.
Speaker 13 I'm getting my kids, and we're out of here.
Speaker 13
I told Unc, I send each person I have a child from. I see y'all 20 million.
I'm taking the kids with me, and we out. We gone.
Speaker 14 Yeah,
Speaker 14 I'm going to hop on the plane immediately. And
Speaker 14 we're straight to Miami.
Speaker 14
Pretty going to be waiting there. And it's going to take me straight to Booby Trap.
And I'm going to dust.
Speaker 14 I'm going to dust.
Speaker 12 You're going to booby trap.
Speaker 14
100%. That ass dog.
I'm going to bust 100k. I've busted 100K of booby trap right off the rip.
First thing.
Speaker 13 That's funny. That's a good one.
Speaker 14 That's a good one.
Speaker 13 Hey,
Speaker 13 the funny thing about it is the great thing about Booby Trap, Johnny, I've been here all my life. I know we kind of off track a little bit, but this is the great story.
Speaker 13 I've been here all my life, Johnny. And I've been to Booby Trap one time.
Speaker 13 And the fact that I've only been there one time, it was one of the greatest experiences of all time because I don't frequent the nightlife.
Speaker 13
Even though I've been here all my life, I don't frequent the nightlife. So anytime I go somewhere, I'm like a little kid in a candy store.
It was a phenomenal experience.
Speaker 13 I went with the missus.
Speaker 13 We really enjoyed ourselves.
Speaker 13 Hey, i went to houston i don't know if you've been i'm sure you've been to houston before i went to area 29 area 29 yeah dude hey johnny i was like i was like a kid in the candy store once again i don't frequent the nightlife i don't like candy no more
Speaker 13 hey johnny it was nice it was nice and because i don't i don't because i don't do it often you know maybe once every nine 10 years or something like that I'm like, wow, this is really cool.
Speaker 13 Now I see why places like this are always in raps or in videos.
Speaker 14
I think 830 million tell me I can't go give them 100 bands. Pay the note.
They got bills too.
Speaker 12 Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 14 You're right. You're right.
Speaker 14 I'm out here blessing people. That's why I'm going to go.
Speaker 12 You know what?
Speaker 12
I'm going to set a little something beside. I got Sevatta State.
Got them a nice little endowment. Yeah.
Speaker 12 Got them going. We got about to take over the HBCU.
Speaker 12
Hey, all my brother and my sister. Yeah.
Broke them off, got the kids. Ocho, where we going? Me? Shout out to where we going?
Speaker 13 Oh, you, are you taking me somewhere?
Speaker 12 Oh, yeah, we're going to an island. Nah, I'm going to go.
Speaker 12 Hey, let's go. Get the buses.
Speaker 14 You catch me in Turks and Caicos. I'm out.
Speaker 12 Hey, Uncle, we should.
Speaker 12 I tell you what, Johnny, we'll drop you in Turks and Caicos. We're going a little further than that.
Speaker 13 Matter of fact, hey, we'll drop you out there.
Speaker 12 I'm going a little further than Turks and Caicos.
Speaker 13 Hey, I just, hey, wait, hey, hey, Uncle that kind of money, man, that's different, man. And the fact that we made good money, and
Speaker 13 this is life-altering. Listen, what we made was life-altering,
Speaker 13 if you know what to do with it,
Speaker 13 but anything close to a billion,
Speaker 13 that's different.
Speaker 13 That's like, you know what? You know, F this, I'm going to buy the Dolphins.
Speaker 12 You can't even get 10% of the Dolphins with that.
Speaker 14 You can buy July out of this contract.
Speaker 12 Maybe 10, 15 years ago, you could have bought the Dolphins. You ain't buying no NFL team with that.
Speaker 12 Hey, you be lucky to get an expansion of a
Speaker 12 soccer team
Speaker 12 with that man please hey
Speaker 13 hey i'm tripping i'm getting way i'm getting way ahead of myself i'm a sticky but
Speaker 12 i would but ocho now you gotta think about it probably the cheapest franchise is probably four billion so in order to get 10
Speaker 12 right it's 400 million after taxes nah i i i'm good i with that kind of money ocho i'm good hey just give me something i could put the rest of it and and draw five to 7%. Yeah.
Speaker 12 I could live off 75 million a year and
Speaker 12
never touch the principal. Just the interest coming in.
Yeah.
Speaker 13 I don't know. Hey, I like y'all's ideas on what y'all would do.
Speaker 13
I just want all the kids. I want all the kids.
Hey, whatever y'all doing, we out.
Speaker 12 Hey,
Speaker 12 thank y'all. We out.
Speaker 12 Hey.
Speaker 12
Maldives. I'm hitting the Maldives.
I'm hitting Bali. I'm hitting the Mafi Coast.
Hey,
Speaker 13 all that's the same thing, basically.
Speaker 12 Let me live. Okay, my bad.
Speaker 12
I ain't been nowhere. My bad.
My bad. I ain't been nowhere.
Speaker 13 Hey, you can go to Thailand and take the picture on the horse. I mean, not the horse, the elephant.
Speaker 12 Man, I ain't thinking about doing it.
Speaker 12 You think somebody taking a picture of the elephant?
Speaker 12 I ain't thinking about no elephant.
Speaker 13 Hey, but everybody do the same.
Speaker 12 Y'all know where to find me.
Speaker 12 You know where to find me.
Speaker 14
Y'all be traveling around. You know where to find me.
I'll be a back corner in the booby trap.
Speaker 12 Hey, hey, we got, hey, we got to have Johnny because Johnny, you know, Johnny gonna get it hype. Johnny gonna keep it live for us.
Speaker 14 Oh, yeah. I'll be your hype man forever.
Speaker 12
Hey, I'm like, hey, Johnny, go in there, scope it out, see what it's like. Johnny gonna come back out, Uncle.
You know what I thought?
Speaker 14
You know what I saw a clip of the other day, Uncle I saw a clip of our podcast we did in Vegas. Man, that was such a fun time.
Such a good talk we had between us on that pod, man.
Speaker 12 Man, that was unbelievable. Everybody loved that, man.
Speaker 12 They loved the openness, the candidness in which you had, Johnny, the reflection, the things that, you know, what you could have done, what you should have done, how you handle situations, man.
Speaker 12 People like that. People like the honesty.
Speaker 12 Here's my life.
Speaker 14
Here's what it is. Here's what happened.
Here's the truth. Accept it.
Judge it. Don't like it.
Move on with your life. I'm going to move on with yours.
It's good.
Speaker 14
But when I went back, for me, you know, my relationship with you, obviously, with Ocho, what we've been doing through the season, this is dope. This is brotherhood.
This is good shit.
Speaker 14 That we missed from the locker room, right? That we get to do now. And I get to do it from a Saturday.
Speaker 14
God knows where I'm gonna be next Saturday. But nevertheless, I know it's the nighttime, I get to stop whatever I'm doing, come up, and hang with my boys.
To me, that is fire.
