Speaker 2 Well guys, you just saw beatdown just happen. The Cowboys beat the Raiders by the score of 33-16.
George Pickens and C.D. Lamb spent Dallas opening series on the bench.

Speaker 2 Coach's decision reportedly violating team rules. We'll get to that in a minute.
But the Cowboys run their record to 4-5-1. So there's seven games left, Ocho.
The Raiders fall to 2-8.

Speaker 2 No surprise there.

Speaker 2 Dak was sensational tonight. 25 of 33, 268.
Four touchdowns, zero interceptions. He did have the strip sack fumble.

Speaker 2 Javante Williams ran the ball 22 times with 93 yards. They had 31 rush attempts, 114 yards.
George Pickens led the charge, nine carries for a buck 44 and a touchdown.

Speaker 2 CeeDee had five for 66 and a touchdown. And Jake Ferguson had four for 16 and a touchdown.
CeeDee's kicking himself. I mean, Dak could have thrown a better ball.

Speaker 2 Dak had, he sped himself up more than what he needed to. But CD, no, he got to make that catch.

Speaker 2 geno 27 to 42 238 one touchdown one interception uh the running game was terrible the offensive line is terrible the center is a god awful i i don't i don't like to say this but y'all saw it how many how many safety how many sacks did he give up he's just he was just overmatched and ocho this is not

Speaker 2 you know hindsight yeah aston genti was is

Speaker 2 a good player yes but he's not the sixth pick in the draft because you got too many more you you take that guy if you got everything you need. But if you got everything you need, guess what, Ocho?

Speaker 2 You're not picking sixth in the draft.

Speaker 34 Right.

Speaker 2 He's not Ladanian Tomlinson. He's not Adrian Peterson.

Speaker 34 Yes, sir.

Speaker 2 But you rewarded him as if he was one of those transformational running backs. He's not.

Speaker 34 I mean, when you watch him play, when you watch him play in college, obviously what he was able to do at... Boise.

Speaker 34 Boise State, yeah.

Speaker 35 Yeah,

Speaker 34 at Boise State, it was phenomenal. He had a phenomenal season, but then you take into account, you know,

Speaker 34 yeah, yeah, yeah. I hate saying that.
I hate saying that, but you have to take that into account. And what he was able to do against them.

Speaker 34 I think he played, he played against Penn State, and

Speaker 34 he did fairly well, but it's much different as opposed to coming into the NFL and

Speaker 34 using that as an assessment.

Speaker 34 and him being able to have success at this level, especially when you go to a team that is as bad as the Raiders are, you have to be that much more special as a running back.

Speaker 34 You have to be of those one of those generational talents you need to be barry sanders there you go to be able to to be able to overshadow how bad they are he's not barry sanders he's not ladanian

Speaker 2 he's not a he's not a uh uh peterson he's not that he's not saquan he's not one of those transformational backs ocho

Speaker 2 go ahead ocho go ahead he's good

Speaker 34 yeah he's good good he's not he just not he's that's not them and he's not good enough to overcome how bad the raters are.

Speaker 2 Thank you. And when you need multiple things,

Speaker 2 hey, Ocho, I got a house. You know, and the house ain't that spiffy.
I don't need to spend $35,000 on the couch. Right.
I ain't got no refrigerator. I ain't got no microwave.
I ain't got no stove.

Speaker 2 I ain't got no bedroom furniture. I ain't got no living room furniture.
I just got a $35,000 couch. I ain't got no TVs.
They needed too much

Speaker 2 to spend that pick on that guy. You needed a quarterback, to be honest with you.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Speaker 34 No, hey, listen. They got a quarterback.
They just ain't got much to work with. You hear me?

Speaker 2 Who got a quarterback?

Speaker 34 Who? The Raiders.

Speaker 2 Man, stop it, Ocho.

Speaker 34 Okay, anyway, listen.

Speaker 2 Another thing.

Speaker 34 A better context. A better context for those that are watching.
I want you to think about Adrian Peterson. I want you to think about Adrian Peterson when he was with the Minnesota Vikings.
Yes.

Speaker 34 They didn't have much,

Speaker 2 no. They didn't have much.

Speaker 2 But he ain't Peterson, though.

Speaker 34 I know.

Speaker 34 I'm just giving people context okay okay yeah yeah yeah yeah i see what you're saying yeah okay i see what you're saying to be able to affect the raiders and and and have them going in a positive light despite them having so many missing pieces to be able to make a difference you would have to be like an adrian peterson yes but but but he just not that very very good player no disrespect to young bull but he just it's just let me ask you a question you think the raiders are going to go in the draft this year and get a quarterback

Speaker 34 yeah i mean what you think i'm not sure yeah absolutely Okay.

Speaker 2 And guess what? Guess what? Well, they probably would have screwed him up. He wouldn't have been what he a Jackson Dart.

Speaker 34 Nay.

Speaker 23 This year, T-Mobile invested over $4 million in prizes to help schools take their Friday nights to the next level.

Speaker 17 The votes are in.

Speaker 19 and now it's time to crown our $1 million grand prize winner.

Speaker 27 Congratulations to Derricks High School in Derricks, Arkansas, home of the Outlaws and your 2025 T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights Champion.

Speaker 25 The Outlaws and their community rallied to help them score a game-changing home field upgrade, a Grant Fitness Weight Room makeover, an epic 2026 tailgate party, and a VIP trip to the SEC championship game.

Speaker 22 To every school that competed, posted, and rallied your communities, thank you.

Speaker 25 And to T-Mobile for making it all possible. This season may be over, but the story isn't.

Speaker 32 Stay tuned for season three in 2026.

Speaker 20 Congratulations again to Derrick's High School Outlaws.

Speaker 2 But they probably would have screwed him up. Yeah.

Speaker 2 But the Raiders need, they need a lot of

Speaker 2 the the defense, with the exception of Crosby. Yes, sir.
Ocho, you need corners. You need safety.
You need linebackers. You need a lot of stuff.
36 was playing scared.

Speaker 2 Oh, Joe, you see him up there like, oh, oh, oh, man, this is George Pickens. Damn, what am I going to do if he catch this ball? How in the hell am I going to get him on the ground? Oh, my goodness.

Speaker 2 Lord, have mercy. Hey,

Speaker 2 why did y'all call this coverage that's going to make me cover George Pickens?

Speaker 34 Well, you play for the Raiders. You play for the Raiders, Uncle.
A blind man knows when you play for the Raiders, what coverage are you playing?

Speaker 2 You're playing man coverage. You playing man.
You're playing man coverage for sure.

Speaker 34 You're playing man. You understand and know that going into the game.
Boy, this is the bright lights. This is the bright lights.
This is the game you want to get up for.

Speaker 34 You want to be playing against the Cowboys. You want the world watching.

Speaker 34 You want everybody watching when you as a defensive back, I get to play against CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. You got to be chomping at the bits for a battle like that.

Speaker 34 Not to

Speaker 34 want that as a competitor, as a player.

Speaker 2 But the Raiders are so, oh, Joe, the Raiders are, they're so bad. They need so many things.
They need an offensive line. They need a defensive line.
They need something to go.

Speaker 2 If I'm Max Crosby, I want to get out. Y'all need Max Crosby.

Speaker 2 You see

Speaker 2 Miles Garrett, and we're going to talk about this, is having a

Speaker 2 historic season. He has no impact on them winning.
Nah. And it's unfortunate because he has 15 sacks with seven games to play.

Speaker 2 There's a great chance he's going to break that record that he's going to end up with 23, 24 sacks. And it's going to be for nothing.
They'll probably finish with

Speaker 2 4 and 13.

Speaker 2 Max Crosby is unbelievable. He can play the run.
Now, he's a hard guy to block because you never know, because he's like a junior say, I rest his soul. You never know where he's going to be.

Speaker 2 He's supposed to be outside and then he crosses your face. You expect him to cross your face and now he bulls you back into the backfield.
So he's a really hard guy to block or to line up.

Speaker 2 And you can line him up on the line, but he's not going to be, he's, he's never, he's not going to win there because they're so many pieces away from field.

Speaker 2 Oh, Joe, I can't tell you like the receivers. I know Lockett.
I was like, oh, that's Lockett. That's the one that used to be at Seattle.

Speaker 2 Went to Tennessee, asked for his release because he wasn't getting any catches. Oh, Joe, they ran down

Speaker 2 in the red zone.

Speaker 2 Hold on, what's the guy? Let me see here. Tucker.

Speaker 2 They run it like a tampa two. Yes, sir.
Me and my quarterback would say, look, probably in this area, if we run this play, I'm not going to get over the top of him. Put it on my back shoulder.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 Because he run it to a point. Oh, Joe, I can't get over the top of him.
I run out of the end zone. Hell, I'll be in Henderson.

Speaker 34 Yeah. Hey, but hold on.
You're talking about in the first half, right?

Speaker 2 Yes, yes.

Speaker 34 See?

Speaker 34 You know what? That comes with chemistry. That comes with rhythm.
Could you see where Geno Smith threw it? Because Geno was thinking about it.

Speaker 2 Yes, back shoulder. Yes.

Speaker 34 I'm throwing it on your back shoulder. And he just kept running.
So, I mean, if he threw the ball the right way, it would have hit the line back in the back of the head.

Speaker 2 But see, Ocho, that's like, okay, that's.

Speaker 2 Man, what Ocho thinking? I don't know because Ocho didn't tell me what he was thinking. Okay, Gino need to relay that to him.

Speaker 2 It don't do no good for Gino to throw it on his back shoulder because the guy is running it like they drew it up. Yeah.

Speaker 2 He's not veteran enough to understand if I can't get over the top, he's going to fit this ball on my back shoulder.

Speaker 34 Yes, sir.

Speaker 34 so now all i do i'm gonna haul buddy like i'm trying to get over the top and guess what i'm gonna open my hips and i'm gonna catch the ball right here and it's gonna be a touchdown and all it comes down to especially as a receiver and we we we saw something similar to this the type of throw you you i go i go back to i go back to the jets game yeah the jets game with with with ad mitchell you know when they ran when they ran that um it was somewhere oh the yeah the insert they

Speaker 2 he went outside and they crossed yeah

Speaker 34 everybody's saying every and obviously the the the db is in trail. So it's not a perfect ball over top.
What's the best place to put it?

Speaker 34 With the DB trailing right behind him, put it on his back shoulder, away from the DB. That's on his inside hip trying to catch up.
It's a perfect throw. Same thing here.

Speaker 34 You know, if Tucker could have understood and had

Speaker 34 more control of his body, it would have been an easy relaxing.

Speaker 2 Pitch and catch.

Speaker 34 And pitch and catch.

Speaker 2 The problem with A.D. Mitchell was, Ocho, the way he had his hands.
How the ball this high off the ground and you try to catch it like this.

Speaker 2 you got to stoop your hands up on it like this. Now you got to make your hands like they're a bucket.
You can't catch the ball because, guess what?

Speaker 2 Even if you do catch it, when you hit the ground, poop, it's gonna pop out.

Speaker 34 It's gonna come right out. And the funny thing, those are small nuances, huh? Those are small nuances when it comes to younger players and veterans that you already know.

Speaker 2 Yes. No.

Speaker 34 But I mean, it's unfortunate.

Speaker 34 Hey, the Raiders, they need a lot,

Speaker 2 they do.

Speaker 34 They're bad. And

Speaker 34 it's going to be a long time because you understand how long it takes to build build a team.

Speaker 2 Yes.

Speaker 34 Very long time to build a competitive team where you can compete, especially in that goddamn conference they in.

Speaker 2 Oh, you mean the division with Mahomes, Bo Nix, and Justin Herbert. I know what you meant.
AFC West.

Speaker 34 Division, yeah. Sure.

Speaker 2 Now,

Speaker 2 the thing that I look,

Speaker 2 the best thing to happen was pick George Pickens was to get out of Pittsburgh. He had gone comfortable.
He wasn't going to,

Speaker 2 he needed some, he needed to be somewhere where they could get him to football and he'd be happy. Dak can get into football.
He's happy. He's playing happy.
He's playing hard. He's tried.
He tried.

Speaker 2 He reminds me. Now, he ain't the same Bill, but he reminds me the way he plays like T.O.
Every time T.O. caught the ball, T.O.
trying to hit his head on the goalpost.

Speaker 34 Every time. Bye-bye.

Speaker 2 Every time George Pickens, you catch Hale getting him on the ground. Because if you think he's just going to go down, oh, yeah, I got him.
He's going to go down. No, he's not.
He's not going down.

Speaker 2 Yep.

Speaker 2 And he's tough to deal with because he has that mindset that

Speaker 2 oh i know oh you scared i can tell you scared look at your back it all

Speaker 2 you scared

Speaker 2 hey give me a smoke route give me give me something quick let me get my hands on it and then i'll take care of the rest i'll do the rest i'll take it i'll do the rest uh he he he's been he's been everything

Speaker 2 that the cowboys could have hoped for and more and more yes And more. Now, look, the record is what the record is, but he's played exceptionally well.

Speaker 34 Phenomenal.

Speaker 2 He's played really, really well. And Dak threw the ball well.
And, you know, Dak can have these games. Yeah.

Speaker 2 If you don't pressure Dak, now he's going to pick you apart because he got the weapons to pick you apart.

Speaker 2 I mean, it's shooting fish in a barrel. He got pick, he got a CD, he got Ferguson.
Jake Ferguson, I like Jake Ferguson. He's not a guy that

Speaker 2 got great speed, but that trusts him. He's where he's supposed to be.
He make good catch. He make good catches.
He's a solid tight end. Is he McBride no no is he Laporta no

Speaker 2 is he uh uh uh uh uh Loveland in Chicago no is he Warren and and and at the Colts no but he's a very good tight end for what they need because they run everything outside in

Speaker 2 a lot of those teams run things inside out

Speaker 2 with that being said Ocho uh what did you like about what you saw from the Cowboys Man, they look good.

Speaker 34 And then the first the first thing I wanted to talk about, I couldn't wait to get actually get on the show. And I said, after that conversation with number three,

Speaker 34 after that conversation what I had with three,

Speaker 34 and I told you he wouldn't have no more problems. I told you he wouldn't have no more problems, especially

Speaker 34 on the field, or no on the field stuff. Now, off-the-field stuff, you have to be able to control because I got him to understand.
I say, young boy, you got to remember.

Speaker 34 And I use examples of other players that were stellar. I use examples of other receivers that have been in.

Speaker 34 You know, hell, I even used myself at one point to kind of get it through his head and get it through his head early.

Speaker 34 You know, when you have a team giving up on you, whether it's special talent like yourself, all right, that door is starting to close.

Speaker 34 Now, it might not have closed all the way, but it kind of alerts other teams like, listen, if we can't deal with him, man, y'all can take him as good as you are. You know what that means.

Speaker 34 You know what that means. Now, you're not going to get too many chances.
You're not going to get that much grace because there's always somebody else they're willing to deal with.

Speaker 34 That's not going to bring that kind of problem,

Speaker 34 despite how good you are. So he's been, oh, this is what he's always been, huh?

Speaker 2 Oh, for sure.

Speaker 34 This is what he's always been. So I'm just glad he can flourish.
He can shine. He's playing.
He's smiling.

Speaker 34 He's still

Speaker 34 NFL young boy. He's still that.
He didn't lose that.

Speaker 2 That's who he is, OJ.

Speaker 34 And I love it.

Speaker 34 He didn't lose what makes him special.

Speaker 2 I think the worst thing, the worst thing that happened to him is that he went to Pittsburgh, who has a history of receivers behaving in this manner. Go back and look at it.

Speaker 2 We don't have to call any names, but you go back and look at the Steelers' history at wide receiver position. There's a reason why most of them don't get second contracts.

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 2 If you really look at it, if you really think about it, OJo, only one has really gotten a second contract. That's Heinz Ward.

Speaker 2 A.B. got a second contract, and then

Speaker 2 but they let Plex go, Santonio Holmes, they let Mike, what's the fast dude? Mike Wallace. Mike Wallace,

Speaker 2 Emmanuel Sanders and

Speaker 2 Emmanuel was a pitcher, but you know, they just had too many. They had too many guys.
They had to make a decision.

Speaker 34 Number game. Numbers game.

Speaker 2 Number game. Some guys, but I was like, damn, what is it in Pittsburgh that y'all bet? But he figured it out.
I'm glad you had a conversation with him.

Speaker 2 I'm glad he realized, like, bro, you can set your grandkids' grandkids up for the rest of their life.

Speaker 34 And then you good.

Speaker 2 And you straight.

Speaker 34 And that's exactly what's exactly what it's going to be too. Now, I can't wait to the offseason.

Speaker 2 Oh, yeah.

Speaker 34 I can't wait to the offseason. Now, I know Cowboys fans.
I know Cowboys fans are loving Pick. I know they're loving

Speaker 34 what he's doing there. But when I think about it, I would love for him

Speaker 34 to go to another team. No disrespect to Cowboys fan, to go to another team to get as much as he possibly can.

Speaker 34 As much as he possibly can to a quarterback, to a team that is efficient offensively, that can also get in the ball where he can be the number one and be on his own team.

Speaker 34 Where he can get 10, 11 targets a game they can put him in positions to make

Speaker 2 that now he got 11 tonight oh yeah yeah yeah yeah but it's hard look ojo let's we we got to be fair pick pick is what he is he's a phenomenal talent but the raiders are trash

Speaker 2 hey hey you might go out there you might go out there and get five for 40 ocho hey five for 40 well you five for 40.

Speaker 34 listen hey stay with me real quick you throw me five you throw me five nfl balls uh right now with the way i'm in shape and if they put me if you put me in positions to be able to manipulate a defense,

Speaker 34 I might have by 160.

Speaker 2 Ojo, they're going to put you in catch one pass, and your hamstrings are going to give out.

Speaker 34 Me?

Speaker 2 Yep.

Speaker 34 You think so?

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 34 I'm in shape.

Speaker 34 Robbie running, huh?

Speaker 2 You'll run like that.

Speaker 2 When the last time you had a football in your hand and ran full speed.

Speaker 2 Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 34 I'm glad glad you said that i'm glad you said that i haven't had a football in my hands but i do have to run sport full speed when i play soccer on the weekends you know you know i play soccer with the jama yeah i know you play soccer on the weekends i hear you hey hold on hey oh this ain't no lift field this was the jamaicans have you ever seen jamaican play soccer

Speaker 34 hey they don't play they don't play it's like being it's like playing football with no pads and everybody goddamn fast yeah And hey, the funny thing about it, I don't mean to be off topic.

Speaker 34 I don't know.

Speaker 34 I'm sure you had Jamaican friends.

Speaker 34 The Jamaicans I play with, it's an entire league. Everybody's Jamaican.
The whole stadium, everybody.

Speaker 34 I can't understand a word they're saying. It's as if they just got here to the States.

Speaker 2 They speak in Patua. What?

Speaker 34 And within the way they talk, they talk so angry and so loud, it seems as if they're arguing, but it's just a regular conversation.

Speaker 34 They be telling me stuff on the field. I just smile and say, okay.

Speaker 34 I don't understand nothing you're saying. But anyway.

Speaker 34 Oh,

Speaker 2 CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens spit the opening series on the bench. Coach's decision, reportedly, for violating team rules.

Speaker 2 I just don't get these guys. I don't.

Speaker 2 I don't. And like I said, it's this new way now.

Speaker 2 I guess

Speaker 2 coaches and things you're just going to have to accept. Players are going to be late.
Players are going to blow out things. We're going to talk about Abdul Carter sleeping through a walkthrough.

Speaker 2 I'm just at a loss, Ocho. I'm just at a loss.
I really am, Ocho. I really am.
I don't really think it's asking too much at your job to be on time.

Speaker 2 I mean, your boss, you're supposed to clock in at 8 o'clock, 8.30, 9 o'clock. You're like, nah, I think I'll come at 10 today.

Speaker 34 Right.

Speaker 2 Or, oh, you know, we're supposed to have a big meeting and I just sleep through. I'm just, like I said, maybe it's just me.

Speaker 2 Maybe I'm just old school and I'm asking a bit too much of the players to be pros,

Speaker 2 not only in your occupation, but how you go about your business

Speaker 34 maybe it's just i'm just old school maybe i'm i'm wrong i'm wrong man you know you know i'm not sure i'm not sure what it is because obviously with with the with the nflp asked for the cba they don't practice as much i think they get more rest I mean, so there really is no excuse.

Speaker 34 So we would have to actually ask the players, what's the issue? What's the problem?

Speaker 34 There have been many, obviously in the last two weeks, there have been many situations. There have been many incidents with players being late.

Speaker 34 And most of the time, some of this stuff is swept under the rug. It's swept under the rug, and they discipline them behind closed doors and still allow them to play.

Speaker 34 But now, coaches are standing firm, you know, on their decisions. And stuff that is supposed to be in-house is being leaked out.

Speaker 2 Well, when you saw your two-star receivers in the first series, they're not on the field and they're healthy. Now, if they're in street clothes, that's one thing.

Speaker 2 They're standing on the sideline, oh Joe, with shoulder pads on, and neither want to end the game. You know, something's up.

Speaker 34 Yeah, listen, it could have been part of the game plan.

Speaker 2 Could have been part of the game. Exactly.

Speaker 2 bad thing.

Speaker 2 So I was like, okay.

Speaker 2 And everybody's like, well, it's crazy that you're two-star receivers. Bro, there's a disciplinary problem.
Because if they were not healthy enough, they wouldn't even be in uniform.

Speaker 34 Hey,

Speaker 34 what you think they did? Probably late to a meeting?

Speaker 2 Late to a meeting or something. Yeah.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 2 Flight, something, yeah. I just, like I said, I don't.
That's just me. I just think the thing is, is that I got one job.
It's not like I have a whole bunch of jobs going on and things like that.

Speaker 2 All I got to do, hold on. Y'all gonna pay me millions.
I mean, we didn't make what they making now, Ocho, clearly. Right.

Speaker 2 But still, that was good money. Yeah.
And

Speaker 2 just to be, I'm just, I've just always been a stickler. Even now, when you know, we got to shoot the dude for Club Shay Shade, the guest say they're going to be there.

Speaker 2 I'm going to be there like 15 minutes earlier, 15 minutes early, and to make sure I've done gotten made up and everything like that. I just, I just, my grandma's like, boy, don't be the cowtail.

Speaker 2 That's just, that's, that's just me. That's just me.
Wait, don't be the what? Don't be the cowtail. Don't be the last one.
You know, the cowtail is the last thing to come in. I like that.

Speaker 2 Come into the barn. So I just, that's just the way I am.

Speaker 2 During the game, Dez tweeted, George Pickett, I want you to understand that whenever it's time to negotiate your new contract, your legacy will be worth more than being the highest paid receiver.

Speaker 2 If you stayed in Dallas, there's a lot more to the thought process, but

Speaker 2 think about it.

Speaker 34 Hey, Dez,

Speaker 34 I love you. But you know how Jerry is when it comes to paying a player his true value.
George Piggins has one time to maximize. He has one time to maximize everything he can get.

Speaker 34 It's not going to come from Jerry. Cowboys pants.
I love you to death. I know you're excited about George Piggins and what he can do for you and your team.

Speaker 34 Not just now, what he's doing, but for the foreseeable future. But Piggins is behind the eight ball when it comes to getting paid.
All his counterparts have gotten paid already.

Speaker 2 Then I got a new contract.

Speaker 34 All his counterparts. Didn't he come in?

Speaker 2 Hold on. Didn't he come in with Chase?

Speaker 34 If I'm not mistaken,

Speaker 34 I don't.

Speaker 2 Where's he came in? I don't have anything. I think he came in with Chase.
It's got to be his fourth year, isn't it? I thought it was 2024.

Speaker 2 22, 23, 2024. Is it right? 25.

Speaker 34 It is or no? Is this fourth? Jesus is 2021.

Speaker 2 Okay. No, he came in a year after.
This is his fourth season.

Speaker 34 Yeah. Yeah.
It's time, huh? It's time. But here's the ocho.
It's time.

Speaker 2 I'm not going to say I'm gonna i i can't say because two things i'm a firm believer two things can be true yes i just remember when devs got his contract devs with the highest paid player

Speaker 2 he didn't take land he didn't he wasn't worried about his legacy

Speaker 2 he didn't devs with the highest paid go look it up chat y'all know what i'm talking about

Speaker 2 i

Speaker 2 it's gonna be interesting to see Because

Speaker 2 two things can be true. Dan's like, okay, his legacy, but

Speaker 2 is Pick going to be one of these guys that we talk about like we do Randy Moss, like we do Jerry Rice, like we do Fitzgerald, like we do Calvin Johnson?

Speaker 34 And listen, the way he's playing right now, he possibly could.

Speaker 34 He possibly could. Okay.
I know one thing. Forget the conversation pieces.
Those are cute. The legacy, yeah, that's cute too.
But you can't eat with that.

Speaker 34 Pay no bills with that.

Speaker 34 It's great when you're in the barbershop and we talk about, you know, when we're talking football with the fellas. Yeah.
It's fine and dandy. It's a good thing.
It's a great great conversation piece.

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 34 But that legacy,

Speaker 34 making sure.

Speaker 2 What's your legacy, Ozocho? Your last name, what? Johnson. You also, your last name, Johnson.
You got seven others last name, Johnson.

Speaker 2 Your legacy is what the hell you do for them and how you leave them situated after you long gone. Come on.
NFL legacy. My kids can't eat that.
They can't go to private school on that.

Speaker 2 They can't go to college on what I did in the NFL.

Speaker 34 Come on.

Speaker 2 Come on.

Speaker 2 My legacy is what i've done for the name on the back shannon sharp yes i played my ass off for the broncos because they compensated me handsomely i played my ass off for the ravens they compensated me handsomely but my last name i got people that's depending on me and i need to put them in a better situation than what my parents and grandparents could put me in that is my legacy

Speaker 34 Hey, it ain't even Sunday, boy, but you preaching. You hear me? Well, you spitting that hot fire.
Hey, hey,

Speaker 34 give me me one more verse now give me

Speaker 2 that and the legacy

Speaker 2 that's what i want my legacy to be yes sir i want my legacy to be how did shannon what did shannon sharp do for his family how did he leave them situated shannon sharp has been gone 25 years

Speaker 2 40 years

Speaker 2 man

Speaker 2 In 35 years, ain't nobody going to be talking about who, man, man, you remember three for the Cowboys? Nah.

Speaker 2 They're going to remember George Pickens'

Speaker 2 grandkids and great-grandkids like they do the Rockefellers, like they do the Kennedys.

Speaker 2 Now,

Speaker 2 that's their legacy.

Speaker 34 That's a legacy. Yeah, I like that.
I like that, huh? That's a good one. That's a good one.
That's a good one.

Speaker 34 The fact of the vision and leaving the legacy and it all being situated

Speaker 34 and surrounded by the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 2 Nah.

Speaker 2 I love it. Look, I want the man to do.
I want everybody to get. That's why I tell the players, look, be on your best behavior.
Don't give him any money back.

Speaker 2 Get all the money you can because there's a likelihood everybody ain't going to be like Tom Brady can make just as much money in retirement as they did when they were playing. Tom's making 30.

Speaker 2 Everybody ain't going to be Tony Romo making 19. Everybody going to be Troy Aikman.

Speaker 2 So the money that you make in that period, that finite period of time, that's what's going to have to sustain you for the rest of perpetuity, for the rest of your life, the rest of your kids' life, your kids' kids' life.

Speaker 2 That's my legacy. That's what I want my legacy to be.
Fine. If everybody, hey, because a lot of people are like, man, hey, Shannon Shark, you talking about the guy that podcast? He played football.

Speaker 2 Oh, damn. I'm like, Club Shea, Shay.
Club Shay, Shay, Shannon Shark.

Speaker 2 I got grandkids and gonna have great grandkids. My legacy is that I left them in a position better.

Speaker 2 That I was left in. And so at some point in time, Ocho, we did what we did so we could stop.

Speaker 2 I didn't want my kids to grow up like I grew up.

Speaker 2 I'm sure my mom didn't want me to grow up like she grew up. Got some of it.
Not all of it, but I got some. I didn't have to pick cotton.

Speaker 2 That's my legacy. Dance, I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I just remember when you got your money,

Speaker 2 you got all of it. Yeah.

Speaker 2 14 million. You were the highest paid.
You didn't say, you know what, Jerry? Hey, Jerry, break me eight. You know what?

Speaker 2 If I'm not mistaken, it was five years. It was was four years, five years, 70 mil.

Speaker 2 My 30-something guaranteed, dad. I don't mean to count your pockets, but I'm saying, you didn't say, you know what?

Speaker 2 I want to stay in Dallas really, really bad because my legacy means more in Dallas than it would somewhere else. You say, Jerry, give me every dime that I've earned.

Speaker 2 Not that I deserve, that I've earned. Yeah.

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 2 See, people like, no, you don't get what you earn. You don't get what you deserve.
You get what you earn. Yeah.

Speaker 2 And Dez earned that contract. Y'all remember Dez was Scott.
Dez's 16 touchdown. Deb was housing it.
Dez was taking shallow crosses, piecing folks out.

Speaker 2 50-50 ball was 90 team and Dez.

Speaker 34 Every time.

Speaker 34 The real deal. Hey, and listen, don't let him hit the end zone, huh? Because you know what he's going to hit you with.

Speaker 2 Yes.

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 34 Real deal. But listen, it is.
Just based on Jerry Jones, based on the way he's handled other players

Speaker 34 that were elite at their position, especially when it came to time to pay him, drawing things out, waiting to the very last minute, having issues, making it a circus, not taking care of the player, not putting the player first, but having his own agenda and way of doing things.

Speaker 34 I just don't, me personally, I don't want that for Pickens. He's done enough.
He showed his true value.

Speaker 34 Now there's a team that's not going to play games, that's not going to make a circus, that's not going to

Speaker 34 make a missed training camper or make him hold out that's going to give him the true value and what he can do on the field. And it should be superior top number one money.

Speaker 34 And I just don't think he can get that at the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 2 Even though I like it. Ocho, if the numbers are close, let's just say the Cowboys say, we got 32 million for you.
And another team got 34 million. I will stay with Dallas because guess what?

Speaker 2 I'm going to save it in state tax. There ain't no state tax.

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 2 Going somewhere else. Let's just say you have to go.
Now, if the other team, I go to Las Vegas Raiders.

Speaker 2 Now, the question is, Ocho, the question, and we see this with Miles Garrett, got paid, having an unbelievable season, but he losing.

Speaker 2 How well can you do? Because you see, we see a lot of guys that's losing, Ocho, making a lot of money. They ain't happy.
Yeah. Boy, it sucks going out there in the cold.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 Hey, you're like, ooh, and getting your eyes beat in. Yeah, the checks are nice when they hit direct deposit.
But as a competitor, you do what you do in order to give yourself a chance to win.

Speaker 2 And it sucks knowing that I go out there, you know what? Man, I ain't really got no chance to leave.

Speaker 34 Hey, you know, I don't, I know it was a hypothetical. I don't even like them numbers you called out as an example.

Speaker 2 No, I'm just

Speaker 2 saying comparable. The numbers are comparable.

Speaker 2 I just threw out a number. Yeah, I mean, look, the way it is now,

Speaker 2 it's probably going to be north of 35 million.

Speaker 2 Who was it? Jeddah signed that deal two years ago. So we're going to be three years coming in.
No, we can't look. And I get it.

Speaker 2 I don't want to hear, well, this is an outlier contract because they did this for the longest time with defensive players when Dominican Sue signed his number, his big contract.

Speaker 2 They're talking about this was an outlier. I don't know nothing about no outlier.
I don't know about no PF liars. I don't know nothing about no outlier.

Speaker 2 I know you're a damn liar if you think I'm going to take this bull job contract.

Speaker 2 That's what I would tell them.

Speaker 2 So,

Speaker 2 oh, Joe, here's the Cowboys remaining schedule. They got the Eagles on Sunday.
They got the Chiefs on Thanksgiving. And they're at the Lions.

Speaker 2 They got the Vikings at home, Chargers at home, on the road at the Commanders, on the road against the Giants. So

Speaker 2 the next game, Eagles, Chiefs, Lions, Vikings, Chargers. That's the next five.

Speaker 2 And the best part about it, Ocho? Yes, sir. Four of the five are at home.

Speaker 34 That's a great thing. But the bad thing about it is, now, the Cowboys look good today, huh?

Speaker 2 But

Speaker 34 they weren't playing a competent team. They weren't playing a competent team that's good on offense or a competent team that's good on defense.

Speaker 2 Right.

Speaker 34 Most of the teams on that schedule, on one side of the ball, they're really, really, really good.

Speaker 34 They're really good.

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 34 So they're going to have they, they're going to, listen, they're going to have it. They're going to have it.
They're going to have some fits. They're going to have some fits.
Now, offensive.

Speaker 2 This game Sunday is going to tell us a lot.

Speaker 2 It's going to tell us a lot. Because you know the Eagles, the Eagles,

Speaker 2 now that they got Jalen Phillips and you got other people on that defensive line to worry about,

Speaker 2 you got Davis and you got Carter and you got, I think, Hunt. I think 97.
What's 97 for the Eagles? What's his name? They got him on the other side on your show. They got people you got to worry about.

Speaker 2 It's going to be hell. So it's because probably what's going to happen, Mitchell would take pick.

Speaker 2 Dejine,

Speaker 2 because

Speaker 2 what you call him lines up mainly in the slot, CD, he'll probably deal with CD.

Speaker 2 That's how they kind of played it last time. Right.

Speaker 2 Morrow and Jomo. Or Jomo, that's 97 for the Eagles.

Speaker 2 They got another dude that was, is it 96 that was batting down passes last night?

Speaker 2 It's Ojamo. Okay.

Speaker 2 But

Speaker 2 they're going to get some work. And the lions, now here's the thing.
You get the lions in that building. They get them on turf.
You get them in the closed environment, a controlled environment, OJo.

Speaker 2 The temperature is 72 degrees. Oh, yeah.
The footing is solid. Mm-hmm.

Speaker 34 And listen, there's a good chance they won't look the way they did against them goddamn Eagles. No.

Speaker 2 No, absolutely not. Good job.
Absolutely not. I do not expect them to look like they did against the Eagles.

Speaker 32 Stay tuned for season three in 2026.

Speaker 20 Congratulations again to Derek's High School Outlaws.

Speaker 2 So right now, the National Football Conference, here are the seven teams. If the playoffs were to end the day, that would be in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 The Eagles would be the number one overall seed, followed by the Rams, the Bears, the Bucks, the Seahawks, the Packers, the 49ers.

Speaker 2 Detroit, Carolina, Cowboys, and Minnesota would be on the outside looking in.

Speaker 2 But there's seven games left to play. Yeah.
And guess what? Now you play your way into the playoffs. This is where you play your way into the playoffs.

Speaker 34 I'm excited.

Speaker 2 Ocho, Jamar Chase. We had this conversation last night.
Jamar Chase was suspended one game.

Speaker 2 The one-game suspension will cost him over half a million dollars, $448,333 in a game check and $58,824 in an active roster bonus.

Speaker 2 Chase plans to appeal and argue this one-game suspension, claiming that if it was going to spit on Jalen Ramsey, he would have spit in his face and not on the man's jersey, the ground.

Speaker 2 Oh Cho.

Speaker 2 oh, Joe, that's not, come on, Ramsey. I mean, come on, Chase.

Speaker 34 He didn't even talk to the media, huh?

Speaker 2 Hello, that's what Em Rappaport said, is that he said if he was going to spit on Jalen Ramsey, he would have spinning his face and not on the jersey, the ground.

Speaker 34 Yeah, I don't think he said that. Because he declined to talk to the media.
He declined to talk to everybody today.

Speaker 34 Obviously, you know, once you get out of watching film on Mondays, he declined to talk to everybody. What? Yes, well, even Rapport were important, but he hadn't inverted from his team.

Speaker 2 I guess his team put that out. But anyway,

Speaker 2 I don't know how, I don't know. But first of all,

Speaker 2 you said you didn't spit.

Speaker 2 So whether you were spitting on the ground or you would have done X, Y, and Z, you said you didn't spit. That's what you said.
You said that after the game. Yeah.
Now,

Speaker 2 all that, oh, Joe, you know they shoot everything. Man, you know they shoot everything in 4K?

Speaker 2 And you could actually see it?

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 2 Yeah. yeah

Speaker 2 you could you could see pimples on an ant booty from the moon that's how good the cameras are Ocho yeah yeah absolutely chase absolutely appeal it but I mean I just think you should you know call Ram and say bro I'm sorry my emotions got the best of me and leave and and and because

Speaker 2 this one incident this is not you I don't believe this is you I'm surprised that we're actually having Ocho not having this conversation and you're the topic of the conversation because you're ensnared in this.

Speaker 2 I wouldn't have believed it. If you, you would have been the very last person.

Speaker 2 They said a receiver. I probably, there are some other names I might have would have gone to, but I wouldn't have been.

Speaker 2 I wouldn't, I wouldn't have, I wouldn't have put that at you. I wouldn't have put that on you.

Speaker 2 So

Speaker 2 I hope that's what Ian Rappaport said. He said, uh, his team said, or he said.
I don't believe it.

Speaker 2 I'm going to say, let's just say, but for the sake of, but

Speaker 2 you did spit on him. Whether you would have, what you would have done, you spit on the man.

Speaker 2 And

Speaker 2 it's going to cost you, but you'll learn from it.

Speaker 2 I don't believe this is the type of person that you are. We've all done things that

Speaker 2 are our finest moment.

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 2 And I don't think this moment should define Jamar Chase.

Speaker 2 There are going to be a lot of other moments that we can look back and define

Speaker 2 Jamar Chase with. This is not going to be your defining moment.

Speaker 2 But

Speaker 2 the best apology, Ocho, is change behavior. Don't let something like this happen again, and we're going to be good, bro.

Speaker 34 The funny thing about it, when we talk about James, when we talk about change behavior when it comes to players, I'm not just speaking on Jamar Chase in general.

Speaker 34 The change behavior, most of the time, you know, he's going to make you forget about it on the field. Yes.
He's going to make you forget about it on the field.

Speaker 34 And we never had problems out of Chase off the field anyway. No, you don't.
Never had problems from him.

Speaker 34 So when you think of a hypothetical, if this scenario or this situation ever happened and you just thought of some players that it would come from, it wouldn't come from him because he's one who causes no problems.

Speaker 34 The problem he caused is on the field. Correct.
Fuck as hell. That's it.

Speaker 2 That's why I struggle. That's why you struggle.
Yeah. Because you know him better than I do.
And there was never any indication. He's so laid back.
He's so much.

Speaker 2 If you watch him when he does an interview, he's sitting back. He chill.
He's sitting back like this here.

Speaker 34 All the time, yeah.

Speaker 2 So he, and the little bit that I've been around him, I've been around him a couple of times doing the autograph signing. I saw him at the Super Bowl.
He's a chill guy.

Speaker 2 He's not one of these high-strong guys that, you know,

Speaker 2 that's liable to go off. He's really mild-mannered.
Yeah. So that's why it's so surprising.
But,

Speaker 2 you know, look, like I said, you know, this season was supposed to be different. They missed the playoff last year.
He had the triple crown.

Speaker 2 He's the first triple crown since my brother to win that and not make the playoffs

Speaker 2 my brother won the triple crown in 92 they didn't make the playoffs yeah he won the triple crown in 24 they didn't so almost 30 almost well over 30 years yeah so it doesn't happen often because there's not a whole lot of people that win the triple crown

Speaker 2 it's hard very you got to have you got to have the most catches yards and touchdowns versus everybody, not just the NFC, but the AFC as well. Sometimes you can have yards.

Speaker 2 Sometimes you can have catches.

Speaker 2 And then somebody nips you with touchdowns.

Speaker 2 He had both. It's kind of like winning the triple crown in baseball.
Yeah. Yeah, you can have a 380 batting average, but you got 40 home runs and somebody got 50.

Speaker 2 Or somebody drives in 135. That's why it doesn't happen that often.
Mickey Cabaro was the last one. Then you got to go all the way back to Yaz.

Speaker 2 Wait, who? Call you Skrimski.

Speaker 34 Okay, okay. Yeah.
And they say who?

Speaker 34 Okay.

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 2 So, or the same thing in horse racing. You know, hey, you might win that first two,

Speaker 2 but that mile and a half at the Belmont's.

Speaker 34 That's it. That's hell, boy.

Speaker 2 Yeah. If you notice, now a lot of horses just like, hey, forget it.
They just say, they're like, I don't even worry about it. Hey, we win the Kentucky Derby.
We'll skip the preakness.

Speaker 2 We'll see you at the Belmont. Right.

Speaker 2 I mean, it was such a long time. And then, I mean, because everybody thought it was easy.

Speaker 2 You get secretariat in 73, and then you get Seattle Saloo in a firm back-to-back year, 77, 78 and then it's like well it's man it's too hard it's too hard it's too hard and then you get American Pharaoh do it and then you come back with a justify Bob Bafford two horses yeah it's hard it's hard you probably had more triple crown winners in baseball than you had in horse racing

Speaker 34 but uh and that's difficult oh yeah for sure and you you be you've been to the Kentucky Derby before I've been ocho we got a

Speaker 2 it's It's all about, oh, Joe, it's all about the hat. Yes.

Speaker 2 For a man and a woman, it's all about. I've seen women come with some hats and be barefooted.

Speaker 2 Be

Speaker 2 barefooted. Yeah.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 Because it normally, I don't know, for some reason, it normally rains.

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 2 But Ocho, these ladies have these hats. I mean, one lady had a hat.
I mean, this. This hat was way out here like this here.

Speaker 2 You know, your boy had to have a hat.

Speaker 34 Hey, hey, you was at that shop, huh?

Speaker 34 You a shop

Speaker 2 if a fly lit on if a fly would have landed on my Ocho, I'd have cut his throat.

Speaker 2 Yeah, you see, you messing me up, you messing up the ensemble, yeah. I'm a clean Ocho, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 34 I didn't, you know, I've been there a few times. Obviously, when I was in Cincinnati, it's right, it's right down the street, right?

Speaker 2 As a matter of fact, hell, I flew into Cincinnati and drove over, drove down, yeah, yeah, yeah, right down the street, man.

Speaker 34 It's a great event. I only did it one time, You know, I'm uh, I'm not in that kind of that's that's where I met, I met, um, I met Bob Bafford, okay, him and his son.

Speaker 2 Uh, at the time, I met uh, rest his soul, I think, D. Wayne Lucas.
Uh,

Speaker 2 I met a couple of them,

Speaker 2 it's a great, it's great as awesome sports, it's unbelievable, OJo, because it was on my bucket list. Like, you know, I've been to a World Series, obviously, I've been to a Super Bowl, um,

Speaker 2 uh, the Kentucky Derby. Uh, I want to do Daytona 500, 500.
I went to

Speaker 2 Wimbledon. I love

Speaker 2 it. Listen,

Speaker 34 do me a favor, to give yourself some justice so you can understand the experience. When you go to the Daytona 500, do not let them put you in a suite.

Speaker 34 You need to sit in the stand so you can get the

Speaker 2 feeling go ride that track.

Speaker 34 Yes, yes. You've got to be able to experience it.
You got to feel those cars coming around. You know, the energy, the aura, the stands.
You got to. Oh, man.

Speaker 2 It's crazy, man. It's crazy.
I mean, it's something about

Speaker 2 when you feel 800 horsepower and it's 42 of those cars and they're going 180 190 miles an hour and they're this close close they're this close yeah and those cars are damn near upside down uh-huh

Speaker 2 unbelievable hey boy hey hey hey would they be hey they bump draft

Speaker 2 that's a uh a rest your soul the terminator Dale Earnhardt. Boom, boom.
Slingshot down in the back. Oh, man.
I got to see see that one. I got to see that.

Speaker 2 I want to see Wilmina because I went to see, I saw the U.S. Open.
I saw Serena.

Speaker 2 She just got married to

Speaker 2 a couple of years ago, to David Lee.

Speaker 2 She,

Speaker 2 the Dane, the tennis player. She married David Lee, the basketball player.
I saw her and Serena play a semifinal at the U.S. Open on a Saturday night.
What's her name? Carolyn Wozniaki. Wozniaki.
Yep.

Speaker 2 She married David Lee. I think they got a couple of kids.
Because

Speaker 2 I just saw them in Vegas. Maybe for the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 David Lee, Michael Phelps and his wife. And it was David Lee and Wozniaki.

Speaker 2 But man. Ocho, I got it.

Speaker 2 Yeah, you look at your boy. Hey.

Speaker 2 Hey, Philipsucker.

Speaker 34 Hey, boy, you clean, eh?

Speaker 34 I see you. Okay.
You clean.

Speaker 2 Look,

Speaker 2 something I pulled out. I was in a hurry.
Was in a hurry. All right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hold on.

Speaker 2 It's April. Oh, Joe, we might have to jump down there.
Hey, Club Shay Shape about, I mean, a nightcap might have to go on the road at the Derby.

Speaker 34 Listen, I get my hat ready right now.

Speaker 2 Don't play with me.

Speaker 34 Hey, because you know when it comes to putting them things on, you know,

Speaker 34 I put that, you know what, on, man.

Speaker 34 I'm ready.

Speaker 2 Yeah, we might, we're about to go and do little something, oh, Joe. We're about to go and do something to do something.

Speaker 34 Hey,

Speaker 34 speaking of horses in Kentucky Derby, my daughter, my daughter, Cha-Cha, she plays tennis. Unknown, she's phenomenal.
She's

Speaker 34 phenomenal. And she loves horses.
I tell about love. She said,

Speaker 34 I'm going to blame her mama. I'm going to blame my mama.
We went riding horses this past weekend, a weekend before last.

Speaker 34 She asked me all about types of horses and telling me about saddles. And I'm like, man, where in the world you learn all this stuff at? I took my she's really into it.
So I'm like, okay, okay, cool.

Speaker 34 Okay.

Speaker 2 Being in your pockets, too.

Speaker 34 Hey, listen. So as soon as we finish riding, you know, the first thing, Christmas coming up.
So the first thing I do, I'm talking to the lady. We're on the trail.
We're riding. I asked the train.

Speaker 34 I say,

Speaker 34 you know, what horses run? How much they cost? Okay,

Speaker 34 $1,1500 for something simple?

Speaker 2 Okay, bet. What, please?

Speaker 34 I ain't getting nothing too expensive now. You know,

Speaker 34 she's young now. So I'm like, okay, what about boarding? What about feeding? Do they have places? Do they have places out here? Yeah.

Speaker 2 That's where you spend the money.

Speaker 34 Yo, they have boarding. It's like, yeah, that's

Speaker 34 a horse. There's boarding.

Speaker 34 so i asked her i say well listen i'm gonna leave my information and you know send it to me and the numbers and what it costs uh weekly monthly and for the year and i'm thinking about you know getting my daughter i'm thinking about get a uh posafino i don't want nothing none too big i want something a little small where the ride is smooth and a posafino would be perfect for her

Speaker 34 Yeah, I'm just curious. I'm kind of excited.
I'm kind of excited for her because she loved him so much.

Speaker 34 And I think that would be one of the best breast surprises for one of, one of my 85 on Christmas morning.

Speaker 2 The thing is, Ocho, is that, yeah, you get a horse for a decent price. You probably spend $1,500, maybe $5,000 on a horse.

Speaker 34 What you got to put into it, completely different.

Speaker 2 But to board it and defeat it?

Speaker 34 Yes.

Speaker 34 Yeah, but see, and to also you got to understand where I live in Miami out that way, you know, because I'm further out up north and west a little bit, ain't nothing out there but horses and stables.

Speaker 34 That's it. And when you think Miami, you think South beats, you know, all the nice stuff.
But I'm out there in the, in the, I don't even know what you want to call it.

Speaker 34 You know, you go to Walmart, you go to Target, and when you're driving, it's people riding horses up and down the street, like we in goddamn Texas.

Speaker 34 Yeah, I'm serious. That's how far out I am from everybody.

Speaker 2 Oh, Joe, Mary Kay Cabot.

Speaker 2 When she reports all things,

Speaker 2 Browns, listen. George Sanders is expected to start Sunday in the game against the Las Vegas Raiders with Dillon Gabriel and Concussion Protocol.

Speaker 2 Barring something unexpected, Sanders will make his starting debut, becoming the 42nd different quarterback to start for the Browns since 1999.

Speaker 2 Kevin Stefansky was asked today if he changed anything how reps were divided up among quarterbacks. Let's take a listen to what he had to say.

Speaker 34 Would you have changed anything about the approach about...

Speaker 34 how you maybe divided up the first team reps from training camp to now?

Speaker 40 Yeah, I understand the question, Cam. I think it's important that you do what you think is right for a football team.

Speaker 40 The development of our players is constant.

Speaker 40 It doesn't happen just in one drill or in one practice or one meeting. So

Speaker 40 we trust our guys. We trust our backup players

Speaker 40 to be ready to go. And Shador is ready to go.
Obviously, I know he wants to play better. I want to coach better, all those type of things.
But that just comes, that'll come through work.

Speaker 2 That's where it will come.

Speaker 34 I like what he just said, Uncle I like what he just said.

Speaker 2 What did he say?

Speaker 34 He contradicted himself a little bit. The key word that he just said, Unc,

Speaker 34 develop.

Speaker 34 Develop.

Speaker 34 The only ways to develop is to get the reps.

Speaker 34 Yes. Just in case.

Speaker 34 You need to develop in just in case scenarios with those you're going to play with on Sundays. That's how you develop.

Speaker 34 If you got an offensive period, you got 707, you got 20 plays, five of them plays have to go go for number two just in case if you got team period and you got another 20 plays or 15 plays five of those plays maybe that's a little bit much if you got 15 at least three of them yeah normally normally 10 to 12 everywhere i've been

Speaker 34 i'm not saying some people might have had that but we never went more than 12 plays a period yeah so some some maybe the the last goal line wasn't goal line wasn't that many you probably had about four or five plays on goal line yeah but but those those those situations towards the end of towards the end of the um the plays on that on and in that period they need to go you know to your backup quarterback.

Speaker 34 You know, that's how you develop, that's how you make sure you're ready just in case something happens to your number one quarterback. That's what they didn't do.

Speaker 34 And a lot of people, you know, making fun of oh, shouldor, he said he'll be ready, or he said he could play.

Speaker 34 Listen, I don't care who you are, if you don't get reps with the number ones, it's not like a plug-and-play, and all of a sudden you go out there and you're gonna change things.

Speaker 34 They already need help, they already need help

Speaker 34 as it is offensively, you know, in certain issues. So, to think he's going to come in there and be all world without actually practicing with the ones, come on, man.
It's the NFL, man.

Speaker 34 Come on, stop that.

Speaker 2 I think the thing is, look, I've heard a lot of people say, well, look, I've only been to two places.

Speaker 2 And

Speaker 2 the backup got reps, especially because I was in Baltimore. Trent Diffle was our backup.
Trent Diffle was the number four pick in the draft.

Speaker 34 Right.

Speaker 2 And guess what? He got reps backing up Tony Banks. Tony was the starter.

Speaker 34 Hey, Tony.

Speaker 2 Hey. I'll give you another example.
My next year, Elvis Gerbach was the starter. Randall Cunningham was the backup.
Randall got reps. Randall had been a starter with the Eagles, been to the Pro Bowl,

Speaker 2 went to the Pro Bowl with the

Speaker 2 Minnesota. He got reps.
So we got two veteran guys that's taking reps. Right.

Speaker 2 But

Speaker 2 this, you know, you're not going to give this guy any reps. And then you expect him.
And then somebody said, Tom Moore said, Peyton Manning took all the reps. Ain't nobody getting no reps.

Speaker 2 When Peyton Manning got hurt and nobody took no reps, asked Tom Moore what happened to the whole staff.

Speaker 2 From the general manager down, got fired. You know why? Because the guys had taken no reps.
Right.

Speaker 34 It wasn't ready.

Speaker 2 And it wasn't ready. And everybody got fired.

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 2 And guess what happened?

Speaker 34 Stefanskin got to worry about that because the person who wants to do the firing came out publicly and said, this isn't my pick. This is not who I wanted.

Speaker 2 Yeah. True.

Speaker 2 So for me, I just, like I said, I'm not saying, look, I'm not saying you get a guy,

Speaker 2 he's a backup and you got a rookie quarterback. But it's hard for me to see a scenario.

Speaker 2 Because

Speaker 2 I always thought it was funny because they said, well, he's not even running the scout team. What's the guy?

Speaker 2 Bailey Zappy, right? He came from somewhere else and was getting and got and jumped in over Shador. Yeah, I said, So, what we suppose, what, what are we supposed to deduce from that?

Speaker 2 It's just hard. I just couldn't imagine it would be hard for me to go into a game in which I took no reps, and I'm out there with Ed and Rod and John and TD.

Speaker 2 It was hard enough being a young player, and you getting a couple of reps. Right.
Everything is happening so fast. Yes.
You got to remember, okay, I got this route now. But if this guy comes, I'm hot.

Speaker 2 But no, it's this protection. So instead of taking one, it's going to take two because the back's going to stay in and take one.
So if the other guy comes, now I'm hot.

Speaker 2 You got to remember all that. But I got to get in and out of this break, too, because John ain't got all day.
This ain't 707 now, and they can't blow no whistle.

Speaker 2 They're only going to blow the whistle when he picking his ass up off the ground.

Speaker 34 You know the one thing I hate too, Uncle?

Speaker 2 What's that?

Speaker 34 Which is very hard for a rookie. Not only are you not getting no reps in practice, forget that part.
Practice is slow. Yeah, for sure.
Practice is slow.

Speaker 34 When you get into the game and everything speeds up, everything is sped up.

Speaker 34 It's crazy. It's crazy.
And

Speaker 34 it can almost be shocking to you when you get in there with the number ones. This ain't the goddamn preseason, Uncle.
Well, you go against the best of the best, the best that they have to give you.

Speaker 34 And when you don't have those repetits, those reps or the offensive line, like one of the linemen came out and said,

Speaker 34 I wasn't used to his cadence.

Speaker 34 It's different.

Speaker 2 That's very important to an offensive lineman, though. Very.

Speaker 34 So, I mean, listen,

Speaker 34 I saw the reports, I think Shador will be starting this week. So, he has a week under his belt to get himself ready, to get himself prepared.

Speaker 34 And now, the offense can be predicated, and the play calling could be predicated to his strengths and what he does well.

Speaker 34 Knowing him, what the type of player he is, I think they're going to throw the ball much more

Speaker 34 and lean on Brother Jenkins to

Speaker 34 run the ball when they need to and when they want to. Jutkins.
Yeah, Junkins. Junkins.
I'm sorry. I'm talking about what I said.
Jenkins?

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 34 My bad. Junkins.

Speaker 2 I'm

Speaker 34 excited for him.

Speaker 2 I think the thing is, Ocho, that he will push the ball down the field. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 That's how you produce points.

Speaker 2 You got to push the ball down the field. Yeah.

Speaker 2 I'm not saying just arbitrarily just throw the ball up and just hope, but I'm saying

Speaker 2 they normally call something to the flat, something mid and something deep.

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 2 Oh, Joe. Also,

Speaker 2 Shador house was broken into last night during last night's game, according to multiple reports.

Speaker 2 It's unclear if anything was stolen during the break-in, and the suspects haven't been identified, but it marked the latest instance of athletes, homes, getting burglarized

Speaker 2 while they're playing or what you know, they know when basketball players are not going to be home. They know, hey, man, that's your door house.
Man, he playing the game. He ain't home.

Speaker 2 I mean, it'd be tough, Ocho,

Speaker 2 having the type, you know, you come in the game, you're excited, you don't play as well as you hope, and then you get home. And

Speaker 2 it's the ultimate violation. It is.
I don't know if you've ever had your house broken into, but I had mine broken into.

Speaker 34 Oh, yeah, yeah, you told me. They stayed, they stole some stuff that,

Speaker 34 yeah, watches and stuff.

Speaker 2 It was a lot of sentimental. The thing was, it was like it had a lot of sentimental value, OJO, because the watches that I had

Speaker 2 is that they were meticulous. I had to wait a year, had to wait three years, had to wait four years before I was able to save up and get the watch.

Speaker 2 So it meant a little bit more to me than the watches I was able to get to replace them.

Speaker 34 Right.

Speaker 2 But my 84 chain that my brother gave me.

Speaker 34 Yes, sir. sir.

Speaker 2 I had a medallion with

Speaker 2 all my kids' name on it, a dog tag.

Speaker 2 So it was one big K and then all the kids' name. They got that.

Speaker 2 My cuff links. So

Speaker 2 it's an ultimate.

Speaker 2 You feel betrayed.

Speaker 2 That's one of the reasons when I wanted to move also.

Speaker 2 Because I was like, man, I can...

Speaker 2 Because that never happened. It never happened.
I remember the times I would, you know, I would walk the dogs and I would would leave the door locked.

Speaker 2 And just this one time, I was gone for about an hour and come back.

Speaker 2 An hour? That's it. I was gone for about an hour.

Speaker 34 God damn.

Speaker 2 Yep.

Speaker 34 You see,

Speaker 34 you know what? I think nobody has ever robbed me.

Speaker 34 Can I tell you why?

Speaker 2 Why?

Speaker 34 What have I always preached about since I've been in the league since 2001? Ain't nothing, and nothing I'm wearing what?

Speaker 2 Yo.

Speaker 34 Earrings, chains, why?

Speaker 34 Nothing. Ain't none of that real.
So what you coming to my house for?

Speaker 2 Mad as hell.

Speaker 34 You know, that's something that I've always priest, always preached, you know, over and over and over. And, you know, now, now it's a little different.

Speaker 34 Now it's a little different because, you know, I was able to set aside enough to now I can treat myself. I can enjoy myself and, you know, and, you know.

Speaker 2 get a little get a little bit of out of character when it comes to the fruits of my labor and enjoying it a little bit more but i never had any issues like that huh yeah it was i mean i've heard of people like it happened you know i'm like man they say shanna you just feel so violated yeah the the the freedom and and the um the independence that you felt that you thought you had it's it's never gonna be the same and it's not you know you become very very

Speaker 2 very skeptical uh and you know just don't want to trust God damn i'm still thinking about that well you were gone for an hour i was gone for an hour

Speaker 34 Yeah. And it had to be somebody you know, man.
God, Lee, man.

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 2 Well, I think the thing is, baby, they would, look, they were just, I don't know, but

Speaker 2 that was the hardest part, man. It's just like the stuff that they stole, man.
I had worked so hard. I mean,

Speaker 2 from 90, from, I think

Speaker 2 my brother gave me my first Rolex when I graduated college.

Speaker 2 So I started getting Rolexes.

Speaker 2 The one that old boy gave back to me when I went back in there said, Part, let me get that right there. I had to trade that in on something else.

Speaker 2 Yeah, okay, okay.

Speaker 2 Let me get that right there.

Speaker 34 Wait, you had a Rolex in college?

Speaker 2 Once I graduated.

Speaker 34 God damn.

Speaker 2 Once I graduated college, my brother bought me,

Speaker 2 got me a Rolex. I never forget

Speaker 2 Oyster Flex Band, Two Tone, Stainless Steel and Gold.

Speaker 2 I'm Proud of You.

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 2 Rick Brussel Sterling. That's live.

Speaker 34 You ever had one of these?

Speaker 2 What's that?

Speaker 34 What is it? Casio, 1983. No.

Speaker 2 Oh, yeah. I had

Speaker 2 they used to have a

Speaker 2 digital. You remember?

Speaker 2 Were you old enough to wear a watch where they had the digital watch craze?

Speaker 34 Yeah. Man, I feel like it's a good one.

Speaker 2 You squeeze it and it light up.

Speaker 34 Yes. Yes.
Yeah. What you, yeah?

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 34 It's so funny. It's so funny.
I got, I still got my old gold, my gold, um, my gold Casio. I got the calculator watch.
I got this

Speaker 34 1983 Casio.

Speaker 2 Yeah.

Speaker 34 What else? I got one more Casio watch that's all black. I'm talking about classic back in the days.
You know, when you, when you go to school and you have math class and

Speaker 34 test, you'd be able to be able to use it to cheat on yourself.

Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I know exactly what you're talking about.

Speaker 2 They got that. I had

Speaker 2 an AP, a LeBron.

Speaker 2 LeBron did an AP with a leather strap. It was gray, 600.

Speaker 2 I'll never forget, walked in. I mean, I had to go through, jump through hula hoops, I feel like, to get that watch from the AP because I didn't have a purchasing history.

Speaker 2 You know, everybody wants you to have a purchasing history. Yeah, I hate that.

Speaker 34 Matter of fact, I hate that with

Speaker 34 Richard Millie.

Speaker 2 Richard Millie.

Speaker 34 You don't uncle. You got to have a.
Patek.

Speaker 2 You got to have a spaghetti. I'm like, sir.
Joshirond, AP Jorn.

Speaker 34 Hey, I'm like, sir.

Speaker 2 FP Jorn. Excuse me.

Speaker 34 Yeah. I'm like, sir, come on, man.

Speaker 2 Same thing with Er Maz. You ain't finna just walk it up the street and get no bag.

Speaker 34 See, the thing with Ernest, I already had a purchase history.

Speaker 2 So

Speaker 34 with them, I'm able to skip. Oh, you gotta hit.

Speaker 2 Really? You don't say?

Speaker 34 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I got a purchase history with Aaron Reyes, Ermaz, way back from like

Speaker 34 11 years ago. You know what I'm talking about? I'm talking about that.

Speaker 2 Y'all don't find chat. Y'all don't find that.
Y'all don't find that odd, huh? this man got a personal history with with patek and lp journey and odemars piguette

Speaker 2 and richard mille no only only richard

Speaker 2 and urban man's vacheron you listened and i can't get my bread chat y'all don't find that a little bit y'all don't find that a little bit wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute

Speaker 34 i said i got your money

Speaker 2 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I need you to put it in my pocket so I can have my money.

Speaker 34 I say, that's that. You know what? You keep, you keep pressing me about this money.
And the funny thing about it, I was trying to make it a Christmas gift for you.

Speaker 2 How are you going to make my money a Christmas gift? That ain't no damn gift. You got my money.
Give me my gift. You give me.
Chat. How that chat? Y'all need to make that make sense.

Speaker 2 This man gonna give me my money. It says it's a Christmas gift.

Speaker 34 Yeah, that

Speaker 34 I want to feel like a gift. Because listen, Christmas is all about giving.

Speaker 34 So that it's the perfect time to give your money back on Christmas.

Speaker 2 Chat.

Speaker 2 Y'all ever ever had that happen, chat?

Speaker 2 Somebody gave you something that's yours as a gift.

Speaker 34 Hey, let me, you know what my grandma always said?

Speaker 34 Anytime you lend money out or you bet money,

Speaker 34 you should be able to have enough to be able to withstand. I ain't got it.

Speaker 2 I did, but there was

Speaker 2 some extenuating circumstances that took place. I ain't got it no more.

Speaker 34 I ain't got got it like i was had it so i need that 5900 to come in handy it'll do something to do something for me oh choke let me tell you something even even though listen we we've all had our trials and tribulations we all had ups and we had our downs we've all had the peaks we've been to the valley through the highs and the lows one thing about god that god is a good god huh absolutely and listen and what they take it he can replenish

Speaker 2 And it's tenfold.

Speaker 34 And the funny thing about it is going to happen when you least expect it. You're going to be like, man, what the hell? And And this just, I'm telling you, let me tell you how the man worked.

Speaker 2 I know how he. Oh, I believe it.
Yeah.

Speaker 34 Hey, because

Speaker 34 I'm a living witness.

Speaker 2 Hey, the only thing is, Ocho, is that he wake me up every day.

Speaker 2 He gave me life. I got breath in my lungs.

Speaker 34 You good?

Speaker 2 My grandfather used to always tell my brother and I, he said,

Speaker 2 if I take you somewhere,

Speaker 2 I expect you to be able to get back here.

Speaker 2 I take that same approach. If I made it once, I can make it again.

Speaker 34 Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
Oh, Joe.

Speaker 2 Now they say with interest, that $5,900 is $67.

Speaker 34 $67 what?

Speaker 2 $6,700.

Speaker 2 $60?

Speaker 2 Yeah, America. USD.

Speaker 34 But what kind of, but you, but

Speaker 34 you acting like Trump with the tariffs.

Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 And guess who paid for the tariffs? Who?

Speaker 2 We do.

Speaker 2 I ain't got it.

Speaker 34 I ain't got it. $6,700?

Speaker 2 Well,

Speaker 34 that's going into child support. Man, French fry ain't going to be able to have no Christmas.

Speaker 2 Me? I mean, you know, my kids, I mean, grandkids, they won't, you know, want cars and iPads.

Speaker 34 And I was like, well,

Speaker 34 if I pay you $6,700, how my kids are going to have a Christmas? Hey. Hold on, forget that.
How am I going to have Thanksgiving?

Speaker 2 Hey, I mean, you got me. I'm going to have to go down to the shelter.
I heard they have a good meal down at the shelter. Nobody knows

Speaker 2 the trouble lies.

Speaker 34 Hey, 6-7, I got, listen, I got to get my kids Christmas gifts. I got to get my woman.
I got to get her, you know, her gifts and what she want, you know, like

Speaker 34 I got you, though.

Speaker 2 Hey, I told him, I say this year,

Speaker 2 leap year, December 25th.

Speaker 34 Yeah.

Speaker 2 Yeah, we skipping over it. We going to, I'll see you next year.

Speaker 2 Hey, hey, hey, you know what's supposed to happen? It's supposed to be February 29th. It's December 25th.
We're going to move right on over.

Speaker 2 I'll get you next year.

Speaker 34 Hey, that's funny.

Speaker 2 Oh, Joe, before we move on, let's take a listen to the classic response the door had for the Browns fan, booing Dylan Gabriel last night. Take a listen.
I'm extremely thankful.

Speaker 41 Well, first, let me say this.

Speaker 41 When Dylan out there playing and all that,

Speaker 41 I appreciate the fans, I appreciate everybody, but

Speaker 41 it don't really, I'm a good person overall, so I don't really like him not feeling comfortable, confident, you know, when he gets out there. So, you know,

Speaker 41 it puts everything in a tough spot, you know, and it's not helping the team, you know. So

Speaker 41 that could be taken as, okay, I'm being a distraction, and I even know I ain't doing nothing.

Speaker 41 You know, I'm not doing that, but I'm thankful for the supporters, thankful for the fans, thankful for everybody out there, you know, that believes.

Speaker 41 And yeah, when I got out there,

Speaker 41 i definitely felt them

Speaker 41 and you know i'm truly thankful for it and

Speaker 41 yeah

Speaker 41 i'm just thankful that i'm out here you know i'm thankful for the opportunity thankful seeing all them 12 jerseys out there and it feels a great feeling

Speaker 34 yeah that's that's something you can't get i'm sorry

Speaker 34 yeah by the way listen no matter what you say that's something that you can't control those fans in cleveland have had to deal with quarterback wolves for who knows how long on 30 i'm not sure how many years it's been.

Speaker 34 And when things aren't going well, they finna boot. It doesn't matter who you are.
They don't care that it makes you uncomfortable.

Speaker 34 They don't care that

Speaker 34 if you're playing bad. They do not care.
They've been going through it for a very long time. They've been going through it longer than you've been alive.

Speaker 2 Sure.

Speaker 34 You need to understand that. So when a quarterback does come in there, they were expecting...

Speaker 34 They were expecting something different than what they've always seen year after year after year after year.

Speaker 34 And that's just how it's going to be. They've been dealing with it for a long time.
So you got to understand that and why they're booing.

Speaker 34 You know, they're not boring just for what's going on right now. They boing for all the years shit ain't been right, too.

Speaker 2 Yep.

Speaker 2 You're right about that. And

Speaker 2 look, a lot of it, and I'm sure, you know, obviously you boo players, but a lot of this has to do with his dad.

Speaker 2 A lot of it has to do with the dislike that they have for his dad. And they couldn't boo his dad because his dad was so great.

Speaker 2 So the vitriol that we had towards his dad that we couldn't give to his dad, we're going to take it out on his kid.

Speaker 2 And,

Speaker 2 but I thought he handled that situation. And like you, you know, like you said, he can't control what the fans do.

Speaker 2 Yeah, he appreciates this love and support that they've given him, but I can't control what, you know, grown women and grown men and women and children

Speaker 2 booing and carrying on and saying,

Speaker 2 so

Speaker 2 it's tough.

Speaker 2 It's really,

Speaker 2 it's a tough position to be in.

Speaker 2 I don't envy the young man.

Speaker 5 I don't.
