Speaker 23 Abdul Carter was benched for the first series of Sunday's loss to the Packers.
Speaker 23 The athletics Dan Duggan reported that Abdul missed walkthrough because he was asleep at the team facility at the time, which resulted in his benching for the opening series against the Packers.
Speaker 23 Duggan further reported Carter lateness to meetings was a trend that the former head coach Brian Dayball didn't address.
Speaker 23 Was not asleep actually doing recovery. Nonetheless, that's on me.
Speaker 24 Yeah, I listen.
Speaker 23 When the hate don't work, they start telling lies.
Speaker 24
I mean, obviously, the recovery thing might have been true. It might have been true.
But I know one thing, that stadium is open very early, long before it's time for meetings.
Speaker 24 You get in there early enough, get that recovery, get you something to eat, get you some breakfast. So you don't do recovery when you know you got meetings coming up real soon.
Speaker 23 Ocho.
Speaker 23 I don't know about y'all.
Speaker 23
I can see chat. I don't know how they have it now.
Like I said, I haven't played in two decades. Ocho,
Speaker 23 it's been 15 years since Ocho played.
Speaker 24 God damn.
Speaker 23 Ocho.
Speaker 23 Normally, even if you're getting treatment, all right, Sharpie, you got walkthrough.
Speaker 23 Okay, Sharpie, you got me.
Speaker 23 That's what the training staff would say.
Speaker 23
That's what they would say. And I'm not saying they didn't say that.
I'm not saying,
Speaker 23 but I'm just saying when I was in Denver, when I was in Baltimore, if I was getting treatment,
Speaker 23 or they would have relayed to the coach, Sharpie's getting treatment. He's not going to be at walkthrough.
Speaker 24 Right.
Speaker 23 but that wasn't gonna fly with mike mike gonna say i want you to i want you out there yeah okay fine no problem
Speaker 23 but i just i i just i just don't i just don't get these guys man
Speaker 23 oh my goodness like i said and this is why i couldn't play now this is why i couldn't coach now because this is not winning behavior
Speaker 23 Look at the teams that win and
Speaker 23 we don't hear about stuff like this teams that win.
Speaker 14 Right.
Speaker 23 You notice that, Ocho?
Speaker 24
Yeah, you're right. You're right.
But listen, also the teams that win, I'm sure they have players that have these issues. Not a lot of them.
Maybe once, maybe here and there. You know, everybody.
Speaker 23 Y'all came late to New England?
Speaker 23 Who?
Speaker 24 Shit, who?
Speaker 24 Yeah, okay.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 24 Yeah, okay.
Speaker 23 Man, please.
Speaker 24 Ain't nobody playing with Bill like that, man.
Speaker 23 Yeah. Yeah, hey, might be like, hey, guys, I mean, look,
Speaker 23 might hit you hard because like okay you get fired like you overweight let's just say for the sake of argument ocho my weight 230.
Speaker 24 yeah now
Speaker 23 it's 50 a pound and i say i can't i weighed in at at 233 so that's 150
Speaker 23 the next time it's double it's a hundred dollars a pound yeah
Speaker 23 yeah you late Late cost you $2,500. Or you could pay $1,200 in front of the team and then tell them why you had to pay $1,200.
Speaker 24 Right.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 23 And it's embarrassing to walk that cash down there.
Speaker 24 Yeah, it is. I mean, listen, Marvin got me like that, you know, maybe three times, three times during my career.
Speaker 24 Not being late. No,
Speaker 24
I wasn't late. But being overweight, being overweight, TK got me a few times.
So I had to. Man, look here.
First time I was overweight, I missed weight. I had to pay,
Speaker 24 shoot, about $200.
Speaker 23 What was your weight?
Speaker 23 $173 and you weighed $175?
Speaker 24 No, no, no, no. No, I was supposed to be at 205 and I came in at 220.
Speaker 24 Yeah. So they understood that wasn't my
Speaker 24 ideal playing weight where I could play well, where I could maximize my potential, you know,
Speaker 24 being that heavy. And so, man, I had to put on, what you call it, not the garbage bag, what you call those things to lose, lose weight.
Speaker 23 Oh, I know what you're talking about. Yeah.
Speaker 24 Yeah, I had to put that on.
Speaker 23 And
Speaker 23 it's like late. It's like a plastic bag yeah i know exactly what you're talking about
Speaker 23 walking you start sweating yeah guys practice was pract with practice in that
Speaker 23 practice yeah guys would actually d line would practice in it wow you would fall out
Speaker 23 that's something no them guys would practice in it they practice they didn't have the pants on but they'd have the jackets oh the top are all yeah yeah
Speaker 23 I'm I'm thankful.
Speaker 23 I've never had a weight problem.
Speaker 23 So, like I said, Mike would always ask me, I was like, hey, this is what I want my weight to be. He's like, Sharpie, you know, are you sure?
Speaker 23
Look, we know, we know when it comes to season time, you're going to be where you need to be. So if you need to be a couple of, I said, nope, I'm going to be here.
I come in 28. I come in at 32.
Speaker 23 I start the season at 28.
Speaker 3 I'm this is Rob Gronkowski from Dudes on Dudes with Gronk and Jules.

This is Martha Stewart from the Martha Stewart Podcast. Hello, darlings.
I have a little seasonal secret to share. It's the new Kahlua Duncan Caramel Swirl.
Speaker 29 Kahlua, the beloved coffee liqueur, and Duncan, the beloved coffee destination, paired up to create a tree that is perfect for the holidays.
Speaker 29 Imagine rich, velvety caramel swirling through bold coffee flavor, kissed with that signature Kahlua warmth. It's like wrapping yourself in a cashmere blanket, but for your taste buds.
Speaker 29 Whether you're hosting a holiday brunch, trimming the tree, or just escaping your relatives for a moment of peace, this is your go-to indulgence and what your cocktail cart has been missing.
Speaker 29 Kahlua and Duncan, a pairing so perfect, is like me in a well-organized pantry. So go ahead, treat yourself.
Speaker 29 After all, the holidays are about joy, celebration, and the little caramel swirl never hurt anyone. Cheers, my dears.

Speaker 31 Heather is a nurse practitioner from United Healthcare.
Speaker 32 We meet patients wherever they live.
Speaker 31 During a house call, she found Jack had an issue.
Speaker 33 Jack's blood pressure was dangerously high.
Speaker 23 It was 217 over 110.
Speaker 31 So they got Jack to the hospital and got him the help he needed.
Speaker 33 He had had a stamp placed in his heart, preventing a massive heart attack.
Speaker 29 If it wasn't for my guardian angels, I wouldn't be here.
Speaker 31

Good. Yeah.
Speaker 23 Oh, Cho, got some bad news. According to Adam Schefter, Michael Pennix suffered a partially torn ACL in Sunday's game and is lost against the Panthers.
Speaker 23 Penix is seeking a second opinion, but this is not encouraging. This is expected to be the fifth season ending injury for Penix in his eight college and NFL seasons.
Speaker 23
And his third ACL. He tore his ACL in 2020.
I mean, excuse me, in 2018, 2020, and now he has a partially torn ACL in 2025.
Speaker 24 Damn.
Speaker 24 Wait, so out of eight years he's been injured, five of eight?
Speaker 23 Yep.
Speaker 24 College included.
Speaker 23 Season ending.
Speaker 23 Because one year I think he had a shoulder injury.
Speaker 24
Yes. I think when he was at Indiana, if I'm not mistaken, I might be wrong.
I could be wrong. But I think when he was at Indiana, before he went to Washington,
Speaker 24 that sucks, man.
Speaker 24
That totally sucks. That totally sucks.
I hate that. I hate that for him.
Speaker 24 Obviously, they weren't having the season
Speaker 24 they would want to have, but I think obviously the growing pains and being a rookie, with it being, you know, your first time starting and getting the full reps,
Speaker 24 getting accustomed to how the game flows and how it goes and the ups and downs
Speaker 24
of being the starting quarterback for a franchise. You need those reps.
You need those reps. And I'm sure after this season ended, he would have been much better.
Speaker 23 Yes.
Speaker 24 Being familiar with everything, the system, the play calling,
Speaker 24 the team, just everything together.
Speaker 24 Damn,
Speaker 24
that totally sucks for him to have a season ending injury and be behind eight ball. And at that point, anything ACL, there's no need for a second opinion.
There's no need for a second opinion.
Speaker 24 Go in there, get the work that needs to be done so you can get back that much faster going to the following year, which you're having, what, six, six, seven.
Speaker 24 Maybe you got
Speaker 24 a good, got a good six, seven. Yeah.
Speaker 23 I mean, you, I mean, look, just November, so you have the surgery. So you got December, January, February, March, April, May,
Speaker 23 June, July,
Speaker 23
August. That's nine months.
Yeah.
Speaker 24 You know, that's plenty of time. That's it.
Speaker 23 Is it the same leg? Is it the same knee? I just hope he can have a career like Thomas Davis.
Speaker 23 Thomas Davis tore his ACL three times and came back to be an all-world linebacker for the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 23 So let's just hope if it's a situation like that, because he ended up having a very promising NFL career after tearing his ACL as many times as he did.
Speaker 24 Damn, man. That's tough.
Speaker 24 Some happened.
Speaker 24 Drake London got hurt as well. I saw something with Drake.
Speaker 23 Yeah.
Speaker 23 I think he's going to be out at least this week.
Speaker 24 Damn, man.
Speaker 24 Like these injuries, dude.
Speaker 23 The Falcons dropped a quarterback at the top 10, paid a different quarterback $180 million to avoid being in the quarterback purgatory.
Speaker 23 Somehow, a year and a half later, they're in quarterback purgatory. Raheem Morris, after drafting Michael Pennix Jr.
Speaker 23
at number eight, we're talking about winning the NFC South and going to the playoffs. We don't want to be picking that high anymore.
We don't want to be in that position.
Speaker 23 That helped us make this decision. Save things to say that they're not going as way, they're not going as
Speaker 23 well as they'd hoped. It didn't make sense to me
Speaker 23 that you pay cousins that kind of money coming off the injury that he had and still sign a quarterback.
Speaker 23 A quarterback with, I get it, Ocho, but he still had an injury history.
Speaker 23 Yeah.
Speaker 23 I mean, think about it.
Speaker 23 You think, it's hard for me to see a scenario where they would select any other player at any other position that's coming off, that's his career would have been ended like four times
Speaker 23 before
Speaker 23
coming to the NFL. So let that sink in.
So let's just say he had five years and four of those years his season ended with a season ending injury. You're probably not going in the top 10.
Speaker 24 Damn.
Speaker 23
But also. But I just hope he can, like I said, I hope he can have a Thomas Davis type.
Yeah.
Speaker 23 Because Thomas ended up going to Pro Bowls and helping the team get to the Super Bowl.
Speaker 23 But it's tough. I can just imagine
Speaker 23 rehab all over again, Ocho. And the thing is, when you rehab, you can't train.
Speaker 24 Nah.
Speaker 23 You're just hoping to get back to a point where you have functionality.
Speaker 23 Training is where you put your body into a situation where, hey, you can call on it and you know it'll answer. He don't get to do that.
Speaker 23
You got to rehab. Yeah.
That ain't what you do with rehab.
Speaker 23 Rehab just gets you back to where you were. I'm trying to go farther than where I was, Ocho, where I was.
Speaker 23 I mean, I feel bad for the young lady.
Speaker 24 I hate injuries, dude, because I understand how much
Speaker 24 it sets players back, especially when you want to improve year to year.
Speaker 23 Yeah.
Speaker 24 The season ends, you want to improve in your game, you want to add new thing to your game, you know, to be able to help, not just help you out, but help your coaches, help your players, because the better you come back from a skill set is the easier you make everyone else and job around you.
Speaker 24 That's what I always thought about. How can I make everyone else job around me? All right,
Speaker 24
when we have a game or we got an officer plan, Carson, you don't have to worry about me. Bob Burkowski, Marvin Lewis, you don't have to worry about me.
Now, just focus on the other 10.
Speaker 24
Offensively, you already know I'm going to be there for you. No matter what you need.
No matter what you need. So I always try to put that mindset in the players.
When you get in season,
Speaker 24
that's just coaching. That's just X and O's.
You're not getting any better in season.
Speaker 23 No.
Speaker 23
You put that. That's going to be hard for you to maintain your strength.
Bingo. Because guess what, Ocho? Your shoulders hurt.
Your hips hurt. Your joints hurt.
Speaker 23 It's hard for you to get up under that weight and squat and do leg press and bench. I mean,
Speaker 23
you do it as long as you can. But some days, hey, my elbows just hurt.
My shoulders hurt. I can't get up under that heavy ass weight and press it.
Speaker 24
Yeah. Hey, you get the bulky of work, the meat and potatoes, you getting better as a player.
You know, from
Speaker 24
a skill point, it's the offseason. That's why the offseason is so important.
That's why taking the time off that's necessary when the season ends,
Speaker 23 you take it. Take you six weeks off.
Speaker 24
You get into that work. I'm telling you.
Hey, receivers,
Speaker 24
come on down there. Holler at your boy.
You know, all these injuries, I can stop all these injuries. Listen to me.
Speaker 24 Everybody like to laugh and hee-hee and ha-ha.
Speaker 23 Yeah.
Speaker 23 All right. Ocho.
Speaker 23 The Falcons do not have a first-round pick. That first-round pick belongs to the Rams.
Speaker 24 The Rams of Minnesota.
Speaker 23 The Rams.
Speaker 24 Okay.
Speaker 23 They didn't ever give up anything because Cousins Cousins was a free agent.
Speaker 24
Oh, shit. That's right.
That's right. You're right.
You're right.
Speaker 23 But I think about it, Ocho.
Speaker 23 Name another position.
Speaker 23 A guy comes off an Achilles injury after his
Speaker 23 12th year in the league
Speaker 23 and gets that kind of contract. Name a position other than a quarterback.
Speaker 24 No, there is none because they understand how valuable the quarterback position is. That's why you take a chance.
Speaker 24
You understand it's hard to get quarterbacks that have put up the numbers that Kirk Cousins has put up, even though he only had one playoff win. It's extremely difficult.
Extremely difficult.
Speaker 24 That's why taking him a chance on a player like Kirk Cousins, despite his history, you know, and not making a playoff, despite the injury coming off on Achilles, okay, well, you know what?
Speaker 24 Well, he's not a dual threat quarterback anyway. You know, once that Achilles heals up, he can be able to do
Speaker 24
what he normally does as a functioning quarterback. He's a willing and dealing quarterback.
Yeah.
Speaker 24
He's surgical with the ball. He just is.
That's him.
Speaker 24 We're going to take a chance and we're going to give him that kind of money. And then also, the type of player, type of person he is, he's a high-character guy.
Speaker 24 So you're willing to
Speaker 24 take that chance. You're willing to make that investment.
Speaker 23
This is not no high insight, but I told you at the time, I said, oh, yo, this contract just doesn't make sense to me to guarantee that type of money. Yeah.
For a guy
Speaker 23 that, now, if that's Tom Brady, that's Peggy Manning type. Okay, I get it.
Speaker 23 They're certified.
Speaker 23 They're approved.
Speaker 23 But for a guy that hadn't had postseason success
Speaker 23 and he's had it coming off an Achilles injury, and he's not mobile to begin with, he's going to be less mobile.
Speaker 23
It didn't make sense to me. And then you go draft a quarterback.
If that was the case, why just save that money, Ocho, and just go get you a quarterback?
Speaker 23 If that was the route you wanted to take.
Speaker 24 You have to think about it, huh?
Speaker 23 where they gonna get one from where where are you gonna in the draft like they wouldn't got picks from
Speaker 23 oh yeah
Speaker 24 hey listen you understand how difficult it is to find a franchise altering quarterback you understand how different that is because so yeah but covers one franchise altering
Speaker 24 no but he he can he can help you compete week to week He can help you compete.
Speaker 24 Look at what's going on right now and some of the teams that have been struggling for years to actually find a good, decent quarterback.
Speaker 24 Because you know, once you get one, just let him be, let's let him be good. Just
Speaker 23 they took Atlanta in the 2021 draft, they took Kyle Pitts number four. Guess who went number five that year? Who?
Speaker 23 Jamar Chase.
Speaker 24 Oh, yeah, this is Jalen Waddell with six.
Speaker 23
Panay Sewell went seventh. JC Horn went eight.
Pat Sertan II with nine. Devontae Smith with ten.
Speaker 23 Michael with 12,
Speaker 23 Rashawn Slater with 13.
Speaker 23 I mean, if you take a tight end that high, you got to use him. But when they do use you, Kyle, you're going to have to catch the ball now.
Speaker 23 And I know it's a problem because he gets the ball so infrequently, he's trying to hit his head on the goalpost every time he gets the ball because he's like, I don't know when I'm going to get another chance.
Speaker 23 And he gets, and
Speaker 23 I've never seen somebody score without the ball.
Speaker 23 You got to catch it.
Speaker 23 And I know, like I said, I understand the frustration of
Speaker 23 this Mobique because, you know, he came on and told us, hey, the chemistry that he and Penix
Speaker 23 had.
Speaker 23 Pennix was talking about it in camp, and he was talking about it. He came on night, Camp, and talked about it.
Speaker 24 Damn.
Speaker 23 and I don't know.
Speaker 23 Give me the coaches that were hired.
Speaker 23 Oh,
Speaker 23
they interviewed, they interviewed Jim Harbaugh. The Falcons interviewed Jim Harbaugh.
They said no. They interviewed Mike Brabel.
They said no. They interviewed
Speaker 23
Mike McDonald. They said no.
I think they interviewed Ben Johnson. They said no.
Speaker 23 I'm happy Raheem got the job, but
Speaker 23 Mr. Blake probably like damn
Speaker 24 hey you got it you gotta work with what you got
Speaker 24 you gotta work with what you got
Speaker 24 Sloanek, Johnson, Harbaugh, Belichick, McDonald, Callahan, Wilkes, Vrable,
Speaker 23 Well, he did a good job passing on some of them.
Speaker 23 Oh, Joe, he's going to have to get it together, man.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 3 Yeah.
Speaker 23 Look.
Speaker 23 They're getting restless in Atlanta.
Speaker 24 Hey, them players got to help you out, man.
Speaker 23 They do?
Speaker 24 Them players got to help you out.
Speaker 24 The old adage, players will get you fired.
Speaker 23 Yeah.
Speaker 24 They will get you fired.
Speaker 23 They can get you fired. get you hired and fired yeah
Speaker 23 man i feel for raheen man damn i just thought this was gonna be hopefully he turned it around
Speaker 23 oh yeah and coach belichick man man y'all saw coach belichek the guy took his hat off yeah
Speaker 23 we gonna talk about that
Speaker 23 oh cho did you see that Yeah, I saw it, man.
Speaker 23 The coach took his hat off. The shake, and you can't even look the man in his eye, Ocho?
Speaker 24 Hey, Bill, do everybody like that, though. So
Speaker 24 he can't feel bad.
Speaker 24 You look at Bill at the end of Patriots games, and you keep it moving. He making a B line.
Speaker 23
It's different. Ocho, this college.
You said an example. You ain't setting no example in the NFL because he's done this.
Speaker 23 Now, think about how many times in the AFC championship game that a Tony Dungy or a Bill Cower or a Rex Ryan has had to come out there and talk to CBS.
Speaker 23 This is really what rubbed me the wrong way. And I think Coach Belichick is the greatest NFL coach ever.
Speaker 24 Absolutely.
Speaker 23
But this is what rubbed me the wrong way, is that the rules don't apply to him. And the NFL has let this behavior go on.
But let a player don't want to do the media and say, you know what?
Speaker 23
I don't want to do the media day. I'm going to let Ocho go do it.
Yeah.
Speaker 23
They're going to dark me money. Right.
But he's supposed to do it. And he sent some special teams guy out there.
Some backup lineman we we ain't ain't nobody ever heard of but his family
Speaker 23 that's what rubbed me the wrong way that man took his hat off to shake your hand
Speaker 23 and then you like like basically give him your button
Speaker 23 that that's that's that's always rubbed me the wrong way about him yeah it always have and and and two things can be true he can be great and be a jackass at the same time yeah and he's always that bothers me you heard me huh he's always been this way,
Speaker 24
and he's not changing. That's the funny part.
Whether I'm in the NFL, this is the way I conduct myself. Oh, now I'm in college, this is the way I conduct myself, and I'm not changing for anybody.
Speaker 23 I'm not changing. And I think the thing is, yes, sir, yeah, when you're winning,
Speaker 23 when you don't win,
Speaker 23
and you give people your job, your butt to kiss, and they're in position to hire you. What do they do, Ocho? They're like, okay, next.
Yeah,
Speaker 24 yeah,
Speaker 24 yeah, that's true.
Speaker 24 But hey.

Speaker 24 I turned off news altogether.
Speaker 26 I hate to say it, but I don't trust much of anything.
Speaker 23 It's the rage bait.
Speaker 27 It feels like it's trying to divide people.
Speaker 24 We got clear facts. Maybe we could calm down a little.
Speaker 28 NBC News brings you clear reporting.
Speaker 19 Let's meet at the facts.

Speaker 31 United Healthcare nurse Crystal checked in on a patient.
Speaker 32 We do a routine call after surgery, and I could tell in her voice that she was struggling.
Speaker 31 Crystal knew she needed help.
Speaker 32
And I knew that this is very serious. This is like septic.
This is life-threatening. And she knew just what to do.
And I called the hospital and said she's coming in, here are her labs.
Speaker 31 And got her the help she needed.
Speaker 32 I see my role at United Healthcare as as a life-saving role.

Speaker 23 The internet believes Andy Reed called out Mahomes today while talking about the team's commitment to the run game. Let's take a listen to what Big Red had to say.
Speaker 35 We're calling quite a few of the RPOs.
Speaker 35 So
Speaker 35 yesterday they were giving us opportunities to throw the football.
Speaker 35
So we utilized the opportunities there. And those things end up being as good as a run for you.
We're getting four plus yards and you go with it.
Speaker 35 But the runs are being called. It's just, you know, sometimes
Speaker 35
they get turned into passes in today's world. You know, that's how it goes.
So, but
Speaker 35
we're getting them in. Now, we have some hard runs where you just get up, line up and go.
Probably could call more of the.
Speaker 23 Yeah.
Speaker 24
I like that. Hey, so all he's saying is, obviously, you get an understanding of who Patrick Mahomes is.
He's one like a Peyton Manning. He's more like a Tom Brady.
Speaker 24 He's able to see fit based on what he's seen defensively, and he's able to change what comes in.
Speaker 23
Yes. He's able to change what comes in.
He's giving him that kind of latitude. Yeah.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 24 So hearing it now, hearing it from Andy, you know, coming out, saying, I don't think he's throwing him under the bus, but it's a clear sign that there might be slight frustration, you know, when I call it.
Speaker 24 Let's just run it.
Speaker 23 If that's what you want, would you call it, like you said, call a hard run. So we get up there, we line, and we call it ain't no, ain't no auto line of it, none of that.
Speaker 23 Because here's the thing, Ocho.
Speaker 23 Really?
Speaker 23 Do I really, so I take the ball out of Patrick Mahomes' hand to put the ball in Kareem's Hunt hand or put the ball in a rookie hand?
Speaker 23 Now, if you're telling me I got Jonathan Taylor, or you're telling me I got Saquon, you telling me I got Derrick Henry, okay, okay.
Speaker 23 There's a probability or greater chance that I leave it on. Right.
Speaker 23 But I got guys back here, man. I just got guys.
Speaker 23 So, no, I would rather have the ball in Patrick Mahomes' hand.
Speaker 23 And
Speaker 23 he made some reads, but I think the thing is now, Ocho, is that, yes, they'll have a chance in every game,
Speaker 23
but they need to upgrade that roster. They don't rush the passer.
They don't attack the passer like they once did.
Speaker 24 Okay.
Speaker 23 The running game is really, I mean, it's really, Patrick Mahomes is their running game.
Speaker 23 I mean,
Speaker 23 Kareem Hunter gets you tough yards, a tough two,
Speaker 23 fourth and one,
Speaker 23 they run that inside handoff where they fake it and spin it.
Speaker 23 Right. No.
Speaker 24 Can you imagine if Jamal Charles was playing in this era for the Kansas City Chiefs?
Speaker 23 Yeah. I would have traded a second-round pick to get A-chan.
Speaker 23 Whoa.
Speaker 24 Oh, that's scary.
Speaker 23 Yeah.
Speaker 24
Now, that's scary. That's scary.
But to have a back like that that can hit his head off the goalpost from anywhere on the field and
Speaker 24
didn't have the receivers you have with Patrick Mahomes. Listen, you can't have everything though, huh? No.
You can't have everything.
Speaker 23 But they're going to have to upgrade, Ocho.
Speaker 23 You know, Ocho, even Tom, they upgraded every year.
Speaker 23 Most of the time, it was a different back. Now, James White might have been
Speaker 23 their third down back, but they had a different back.
Speaker 23 And they needed...
Speaker 23 You got to upgrade. You've got to upgrade.
Speaker 23 The New York Jets, Ocho, are benching Justin Fields for backup Tyrod Taylor.
Speaker 23 The move comes following the 27-14 loss to the Patriots last Thursday night, the game in which Fields threw for 116 yards on 15 of 26 passing.
Speaker 23
Fields signed a two-year, $40 million deal with the Jets last spring. The contract guarantees him $20 million in 25 and another $10 million in 26.
Ocho.
Speaker 23 Does this benching suggest that the Justin Fields experiment is officially over?
Speaker 24 Yes,
Speaker 24
it does. And I hate that for young Bull.
I'm just going to be honest. I hate that for him.
And not only is the experiment over,
Speaker 24 it puts the Jets back in the same position that they've been in for a very long time since Joe Nameth. It's in search of a quarterback number one.
Speaker 24 They're back in search of quarterback number one.
Speaker 24 I really was pulling. you know for Justin Fields and hoping this would be his season to have his own team
Speaker 24
things and didn't go well with the Bears. He went to Pittsburgh.
We saw flashes.
Speaker 24 We saw flashes of brilliance leading that Pittsburgh Steeler team offensively to a 4-2 record before he was benched for Russell Wilson that Mike Tomlin had said would be the starter once he gets back healthy.
Speaker 24
Now, Justin Fields, this is your team. You quarterback number one.
You have nothing to worry about. You don't have to look over your shoulder.
You can play freely.
Speaker 24 You know, just minimize your mistakes, protect ball, and try to run that offense as efficient as you possibly can. And
Speaker 24 to this point, we're in week 10, damn near, if I'm not mistaken. Week 10, yeah?
Speaker 23 Yeah, we're about to head into week 12.
Speaker 24
Oh, shit. Boy, we in week 12.
And just. No, week 13.
Speaker 23 Oh, yeah, this is week 12, yeah.
Speaker 24 Yeah, I mean, and
Speaker 23 yeah, week 12.
Speaker 24 Yeah, at this point, based on the numbers,
Speaker 24
what you've seen, we've talked about it all the time. You know, having games where you got 20, 30 yards at the half.
Yeah, man.
Speaker 23 Come on, man.
Speaker 23
45 yards past it, an NFL quarterback. Yeah, you gotta be.
Okay, once. I get that.
But Ocho, 45.
Speaker 23 Back to back. Man, no.
Speaker 24 And
Speaker 24 sometimes when I think about it, Uncle, it's like sometimes I think they sabotaging him, you know, but I know that's not the case.
Speaker 24 I know it's not the case because they can only sabotage you so much, you know.
Speaker 24 i know it it hurt i i hurt for young boy because he i he's really he really won the opportunity to be quarterback number one and
Speaker 24 it just hasn't panned out or worked out no
Speaker 24 it hasn't even been close the jets is probably one of the worst situations to go to because you have clearly got you have to be that much better at the quarterback position than everything around you
Speaker 24 You got to you got to be able to elevate everybody else around you and he's not that kind of quarterback Man.
Speaker 23 Aaron Rodgers and Devontae Adams couldn't help him.
Speaker 24 Oh, that's a good one.
Speaker 24 That's a good one. That's a good one.
Speaker 23 So
Speaker 23 you put that green and white on, you already know.
Speaker 24 Damn.
Speaker 24
Well, listen, Tyrod, you know, proven veteran. Tyrod going to get in there.
And the one thing about him, you know, he's going to move that ball.
Speaker 23 Oh, you're going to let it buy now.
Speaker 23 Tyrod will let it go.
Speaker 24 He's going to move that ball, too.
Speaker 24 he gonna move that ball
Speaker 24 what is i wonder who the just got this week
Speaker 23 who the just play
Speaker 24 the ravens oh hell no
Speaker 23 hey uh in baltimore tyrodd hey that's what tyrodd started remember tyrod was the backup to joe blacko yeah the joe yeah yep i remember yep sure was
Speaker 23
and he started the Buffalo. He took Buffalo to the playoffs.
People forget that.
Speaker 24
That's right. Yeah, that's right.
That's right.
Speaker 24 Yes.
Speaker 23 Jeffrey Simmons said he's tired of sugarcoating things and is sick of the Titans not playing complimentary football. Let's take a listen to what Jeffrey Simons had to say.
Speaker 23
We need to be better. I mean, we can't keep sitting up here saying the same thing, trying to sugarcoat us for the media, for no anybody.
And I said it in the locker room, I said it on the field.
Speaker 23
I'm tired of of Chuko. And we need to be better.
At the end of the day, we need to protect Cam better.
Speaker 23 There was a defense when knowing if you give up two touchdowns or, you know, or whatever, that's going to be hard to win. Man, at the end of the day, it's about complimenting football.
Speaker 23 We have to play better team football. Team ball, AK.
Speaker 23 Sometimes the offense will be playing good. Sometimes the defense, right? How can we play good as a team three-face? We're not playing good team football right now and showing.
Speaker 23
And Mike said it in practice Friday. We had freaking four or false starts Friday.
We playing at home. We shouldn't have any false starts.
Don't care.
Speaker 23
I'm tired of taking those feelings. I'm tired of losing.
That's what I'm tired of doing.
Speaker 24 Ooh, man, he's frustrated, boy.
Speaker 23
Yeah, yeah. He's talking about the offensive line.
He said, how we have that many false starts when we play it at home?
Speaker 24 And at home, yeah, you shouldn't have any because the noise is on your side or the lack of noise is on your side, especially when the offense is out there on the field.
Speaker 24
It shouldn't be any issues. I understand what he's saying in the key, the key word that he kept saying over and over is complimentary.
You know,
Speaker 24
offense play well, defense play well. There has to be some type of balance on both sides.
Now, you're not going to execute on
Speaker 24
every single drive, not every single drive, but meet me halfway. Meet me halfway.
Keep us off the field for a little bit. Don't go three and out 30 goddamn three times.
Speaker 24
I'm just throwing that number out there. But in general, the defense is tired.
Give us a chance to rest. Let's put together some drives, some consecutive drives together.
You know,
Speaker 24 give us a chance. They're not even with the way they're playing, they're not even getting themselves a chance to win games.
Speaker 23 Now it's a little bit positioned to get the number one pick again next this year. I mean, in 26, OJo.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 23 And my dog.
Speaker 23 And now my dog. You got to suck to get the back-to-back number one picks.
Speaker 24 Hey, that's tough.
Speaker 24 Well, hell, you know how bad you are to have.
Speaker 23 You're in the old Bengals territory. You are in old
Speaker 23 Colts territory. Yeah, but oh, you know, y'all did that, right, Ocho?
Speaker 28 Who?
Speaker 23 The Bengals.
Speaker 24 Oh, yeah, yeah. Hey, Bengals were bad.
Speaker 23 Kajana Carter, Big Daddy Dan Wilkinson.
Speaker 24 Hey, the Bengals was bad, huh? I'm talking about back then.
Speaker 23 You do realize
Speaker 23
I was in the league where y'all were terrible. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Speaker 23
Y'all come a long way, Ocho. Yeah, we have.
The Colts was terrible, too.
Speaker 23
Hey, the Patriots was terrible, too. Terrible, you know.
You're a lot of terrible. They were bad.
They were bad. Hey, but
Speaker 24 Tennessee got a long way to go, huh? You know how bad you had to be.
Speaker 24 Hey, you heard me? You know how bad you had to be?
Speaker 23 Or say the team.
Speaker 23 Hold on.
Speaker 23 Ooh, we.
Speaker 23 Oh, Cho, I'm trying to think who's the last team to have back-to-back number one overall picks. So, like we said, like like the Bengals
Speaker 23 did what Kajana, I think it was Kajana Carter and Big Daddy Dan Wilkinson.
Speaker 23 The same team did it twice.
Speaker 23 Damn!
Speaker 24 What happened?
Speaker 23 The same team has done it twice.
Speaker 24 Who was that?
Speaker 23 They would have
Speaker 23 done it twice, back-to-back, number one, overall.
Speaker 24 Oh, just the Bengals? No, no, no, no.
Speaker 23 Oh, you give me the years. I'm probably going to get it.
Speaker 23 Brown stood it twice. Oh, yeah, with
Speaker 23 Tim Couch and the guy from Penn State.
Speaker 24 Oh, Cleveland.
Speaker 23 Oh, yeah. Baker Mayfield and Miles Garrett.
Speaker 24 Oh.
Speaker 23 What was the defensive line with Courtney Brown?
Speaker 23 Because Courtney, if I'm not mistaken, I think Courtney went one and what you call him went two.
Speaker 23 Didn't he?
Speaker 23 Yeah,
Speaker 23 didn't LeBargo two to Washington after Courtney? Because they was on the same team, I think. Just like
Speaker 23 the Colts had the first two picks. And they took Steve Entman and they took the guy from Texas AM.
Speaker 23 Quentin Coriat,
Speaker 23
yeah. But they have back there, LeBar and Curry Samuels, two or three.
Wow.
Speaker 23 Chris Samuels, the offensive lineman.
Speaker 23 Yeah.
Speaker 23 Man.
Speaker 23 Yeah, it's tough, Ocho. And
Speaker 23 that's where you got to to have real strong leadership. Because when one side is pulling their weight and the other side ain't pulling their weight,
Speaker 23 frustrations start to bubble.
Speaker 24 Yeah, Tennessee has.
Speaker 23 You got to have some real, real, real, real strong
Speaker 24 leadership. Tennessee had some chances to win that game.
Speaker 24 But they did.
Speaker 23
They did. They absolutely did.
Yeah. They absolutely did.
Speaker 23
All right, Ocho. It's time for our final segment of the evening.
It's time for Q and A.
Speaker 23
Dr. Frankie L.
Bellamy. Say it with me now.
Speaker 23
The stars at night are big and bright. The deep in the heart of Texas.
How about the Cowboys? Really, Doc?
Speaker 23 Y'all beat the Raiders. And you proud about that, Doc?
Speaker 23
I can't believe you, Doc. I can't believe you.
It's about time y'all lost by 50 games. Yeah.
Speaker 23 Hey.
Speaker 23 Daddy was going to win now.
Speaker 23 She didn't say that.
Speaker 23
Yeah, you. She called it shot.
Oh, Joe. She said the last four weeks they go with it.
They got beat.
Speaker 23 So she won for four.
Speaker 23 Hey, y'all.
Speaker 23 If she had the casino, she ain't got no money. They'll got all her money.
Speaker 23 Hey, she eating the hub be eating with vouchers. She ain't got no money.
Speaker 23 L Prey, just saw you had the
Speaker 23
John Mayer Rolex on the other night. The new one just rolled out in 2026 around the corner.
Do you plan on treating yourself?
Speaker 23 No.
Speaker 23 I mean, maybe if I get my $5,900 out of Ocho,
Speaker 23 I mean, I might be able to do a little something.
Speaker 24 Think about my kids, huh? Think about Christmas, huh?
Speaker 24 Think about a hole. Think about French Fry
Speaker 24
Lil Face if she wake up and ain't got no presents in the morning. Think about, you know, baby Kennedy and and Cha-Cha, you know.
Now, my older kids, you know,
Speaker 24 they don't want for much.
Speaker 24 What about my three babies?
Speaker 23 What about Shannon?
Speaker 24 Huh?
Speaker 23 What about Shannon?
Speaker 24 Ash and Jordan, got you?
Speaker 23 I don't know what I'm gonna do. I don't know which.
Speaker 23 I mean, I can't get no real turkey. I gotta get turkey from the deli.
Speaker 23 That's what I'm having for Thanksgiving. Yeah, turkey from the deli.
Speaker 24 And
Speaker 24 that's tough. That's tough.
Speaker 23 I mean, I mean, you know, I ain't eating no ham. I'm eating spam.
Speaker 24 Damn.
Speaker 23
Spam. I mean, your boy shooting bad.
Your boy bad.
Speaker 24 And I'm going to, I could send somebody down in the coop for you.
Speaker 23 Nah, if you see my 5,900, I get it.
Speaker 23 67? Nah, Ocho.
Speaker 24 I don't know. That's a little bit too much interest there, boy.
Speaker 23 Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 24 Hey, hey, in this economy?
Speaker 23
Nah, don't do that. Tell me about it.
Don't do that. It's my money that I'm missing in this economy yeah
Speaker 23 uh illy underscore ill ocho i wanted to give you uh a day to get your tears uh but hey bta my steelers gave you yesterday love you both unc and ocho uh yeah ocho they did oh they put some on y'all oh joe did i tell you what did i tell you right on cue i said i'm gonna tell you what's gonna happen ojo yeah joe flacco gonna get off to a great start he's gonna have a couple of games where you like hey joe doing that thing.
Speaker 23 And then I say, Ocho, he'll turn over machine, hit Kyle Douglas right between the numbers, didn't he? Ocho.
Speaker 24 Hey, that robber, that robber, you know, you never see that coming now, huh?
Speaker 24
You never see that robber coming. Obviously, that dig route was there.
And with a safety started at before the snap, right before the ball snapped, he went right there.
Speaker 24
He went right there in that little spot. And to me, it's a blind spot for the quarterback, too.
Because at pre-snap, hell, he was back. He was back deep and started creeping down.
Speaker 24 He never saw it coming.
Speaker 23 Tell the people,
Speaker 23
they call it robbery. We used to call it Lurk.
Yeah. What's his job? To rob anything that's coming across.
Speaker 24 Coming across the middle, yeah.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 23
Brandon Martinez, ain't no way Jerry letting GP. He a cowboy and fans love him.
Jerry paying that bag.
Speaker 24 Yeah, see? Hope you guys are right.
Speaker 24 I mean, Common Sense would have been paying Michael Parsons too, but all of a sudden, now when it comes to George Pickens, things are going to be.
Speaker 23
No, he hadn't dug in. He had done dug in on Michael.
Michael had to rubbed him the the wrong way. He thought he had a chance.
Jerry, one of them, one of them good old boys.
Speaker 23
The handshake means everything. He said, Michael shook his hand and walked out of there.
He thought they had a deal.
Speaker 23 Once he said,
Speaker 23 They didn't have no deal. Jerry said, nah.
Speaker 23 He even told him, Jerry's
Speaker 23 Micah and his agent says, you know what? I'll take the original contract that we agreed upon. Jerry said, no, you'll play on a regular salary, or,
Speaker 23 and that's where we are. Damn.
Speaker 23 Ocho, PWS says, thoughts on Paul and Joshua happening in December. Anything, any prediction on how it will go?
Speaker 23 Yes, it's not handicapped, Anthony Joshua will knock him out. Yeah,
Speaker 24
that's dangerous. That's dangerous.
You know
Speaker 24 how much experience?
Speaker 23 I think Andrew Joshua won the gold medal. Didn't he win the gold medal for the super heavyweights at the Olympics?
Speaker 24
Yeah, I'm not sure. I don't know Anthony Joshua's history, but I'm just, I'm thinking about ring experience.
That's pretty much it. And I commend Jake Paul for what he's done.
Speaker 24 I depend, I mean, I commend him for the work he's put in and how serious he's taken the sport, you know, from going from a YouTuber and actually taking it seriously and dedicating his life to boxing and entertaining, you know, in his own lane and creating a lane for himself in the sport.
Speaker 24 So I'm, I, hey, you, you can't handicap a fight like this, too.
Speaker 23 He won the gold medal with your in the 2012 Olympics in London.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 23
And the super heavyweight. The same one, Clitch Gold, the same with Elise Lewis.
Yes.
Speaker 24 This ain't no exhibition.
Speaker 24 This shit counts.
Speaker 23 Okay.
Speaker 24 It counts. So listen,
Speaker 24 boy, listen. Sometimes you bite off more than you can chew, but maybe he can shock the world.
Speaker 24 Maybe he can shock the world, but the chances of shocking the world against an experienced boxer who's been under the bright lights, yeah, biggest stage.
Speaker 24 This man was the heavyweight champion of the world, the world, the world,
Speaker 23 like I said. If it's a straight up, if it's a real, real boxing match, it is
Speaker 24
normally Jake has done exhibitions. This counts on their record.
This counts on Anthony Joshua's record.
Speaker 23 Well, it's going one round.
Speaker 23 No, Anthony Joshua can punch.
Speaker 24 Can you?
Speaker 24 Man, who are you telling? Them heavyweights?
Speaker 23
No, he they say heavyweight. He that he he ushered in what Riddick Bowen ushered in.
Yeah, super heavyweight.
Speaker 23 Them 250s, 255s. Those guys, Vladimir Klitschko, Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bo, those
Speaker 23 big ass,
Speaker 23 Tyson Fury. Those big
Speaker 23 weighed 205.
Speaker 24 Yeah, but like, he would like.
Speaker 23
He would like. Joy Patterson weighed 200.
That's what a heavyweight was.
Speaker 23 Now, Big George Foreman was a super heavyweight 235, 240.
Speaker 23 Now, all these guys in that division.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 24
I like what he's doing. I like what he's doing.
And the only thing, the ring experience that Anthony Joshua has over Jake Paul, I mean,
Speaker 24
it can get dangerous. It can be very dangerous.
So you, I mean,
Speaker 23 he believed in his skill. I love the fact that
Speaker 23 he took it serious.
Speaker 23
He hired professional people. Yes.
He studied the craft. He got people to help him get better at his craft.
This is what we wanted to see.
Speaker 23 Stop fighting guys that was washed up in their particular sport, be it basketball, be it UFC, or whatever the case may be.
Speaker 23 If you're serious about that, okay, go fight guys that this is what they do for a living.
Speaker 24 Can I tell you something, Mark?
Speaker 23 Yes.
Speaker 24 There is no amount of training. There is no amount of training Jake Paul can do
Speaker 24 that can allow him to compete against elite fighters oh yeah have been boxing for a living since they was four or five years old there's nothing you can do to make up that time it's impossible and can you imagine if they go into that fight december 19th in miami and anthony joshua decides to add overwhelming pressure and become a pressure fighter and just come forward all fight long
Speaker 24 Like you're not, you're not used to that.
Speaker 24 I don't care how much sparring you do.
Speaker 23 And he ain't used to fighting somebody that size, Ocho. And Joshua is huge.
Speaker 24 I was just getting ready to say that. I was just getting ready to say that.
Speaker 24 You know? So, listen, I wish Jake Paul all the luck in that fight
Speaker 24 against young bulls.
Speaker 23 He's 6'6.
Speaker 24 Yeah, I thought he was 6'4.
Speaker 23 6'6. They got him listed at 6'6.
Speaker 24 Jesus Christ.
Speaker 24
Yeah, it's gonna be nice. It's gonna be nice.
It's gonna be nice. It's gonna be a good one.
It's gonna be one. Everybody's gonna be tuned in because you want to see it.
You wanna see it.
Speaker 24 You know, can Jake Paul do what most would consider the impossible? Getting in the ring, you know, with limited experience and fighting against an elite fighter who is really experienced and
Speaker 24 shoot,
Speaker 24 make it into the fight.
Speaker 23 He's a 6'6, 245 pounds. Jeez.
Speaker 23 Really, prior to that, the heavyweight, I mean, Big George was really the only what they call now, so even though it's the heavyweight division, a super heavyweight heavyweight guys that weigh 240 you go look at you look at lennox lewis you look at vladimir klitsko you look at vitality klitschko you look at fury you look at those guys
Speaker 23 huge 6'5 6'6
Speaker 24 hey you you know what could be scary too on what that even with all the training
Speaker 24 when he feel that power one time and he had never got hit like that's like getting kicked in the face by a mule when you when you feel that power even if you even if you parry, or even if you block, and you feel that power hitting them gloves,
Speaker 23 boy.
Speaker 23
That's why the heavyweights. That's why you got to punch his chance.
Because that division, they turn the lights out with one punch.
Speaker 24 One shot.
Speaker 23 Now, yeah, you got some guys at that Lord that can punch like that, but in the heavyweight,
Speaker 23 hey, I guess, like you said, you said,
Speaker 23
anything can happen in a fight, but it's just hard. And I know he's a little older.
He's 36. That's not over the hill.
None of these guys fighting now, well into their 40s. But I just think
Speaker 23 if no holes barred, this was an actual
Speaker 23 sanctioned fight.
Speaker 24 It is.
Speaker 23 It's just hard for me to see
Speaker 23 Jake Paul beating him.
Speaker 23 Not saying that he can't. It's just hard for me to see that he can't, that he will beat it.
Speaker 23 uh montavious heard y'all cowboys here to try y'all best to convince pickers to leave jj see what he's doing just like we like we do watch jj do what it takes to keep the pick nah i'm just saying he's gonna want to get paid
Speaker 23 just like you you go on your job and you do your job at a high level you want to get paid Now, if they don't pay you, and there's somebody else that has the same type of job that you can go over there and do it, and they're going to pay you, you're not going to stay, well, man, hey, I just love it here.
Speaker 23 No, you're a cowboy lover, and you want him to stay.
Speaker 23 I don't lose any sleep either way.
Speaker 23 I want the man to get compensated for his work. If Dallas compensates him, so be it.
Speaker 23 But
Speaker 23
he's earned the right to be compensated accordingly. Brie Carter, I can see Pickens siding with the Bills.
Allen and Pickens, I can see that too.
Speaker 24 Now we talking.
Speaker 23 I told you that,
Speaker 24 Now we're talking. You put goddamn George Pickens over there with Josh Allen, man.
Speaker 24
Man, listen. All right.
I don't want to piss off the Cowboys fans. I'm going to let Pick finish the season off.
Speaker 23 Peacemakers, if Edwin Moses, 122 straight hurdle races win
Speaker 23 the greatest feat in sports.
Speaker 23 Yeah, 100 finals, 122 straight finals.
Speaker 23 I'm trying to think.
Speaker 23 Who beat him? Andre Phillips? Was it Andre Phillips that beat him?
Speaker 23 I don't think it was Kevin Young. Kevin Young had the world record at 46, 76.
Speaker 23 I think it was Andre Phillips that beat him.
Speaker 23 Who beat
Speaker 23 Edwin Moses?
Speaker 23 Because I think he won two gold medals
Speaker 23 in a bronze.
Speaker 23
I'm not ashamed. I'm sorry.
Hey, you see how she covered her mouth? Ocho? She said,
Speaker 23
I said, Ash, I think it was Andre Phillips that beat him. I said, Ash, look it up.
It was Andre Phillips. I'm like, damn, Ash.
That means the chat couldn't hear you.
Speaker 23 You normally blurt out the answers. Hey,
Speaker 23 man.
Speaker 23 Old Morehouse, if I'm not mistaken,
Speaker 23 84.
Speaker 23 I think he won 76 and 84
Speaker 23 and then got the and got the bronze in 88 because
Speaker 23 we boycotted 80 because it was in in Moscow because they invaded Afghanistan. Damn.
Speaker 23 Did he win in 76 in Montreal or was it 80
Speaker 23 80 84 88?
Speaker 23 No, no, no, no, Edwin. Because he won two gold medals and a bronze.
Speaker 23 He went gold in 76 and 84.
Speaker 23
I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Jordan.
I'm sorry.
Speaker 23
It's an amazing streak. I don't know if we'll see Brett Favre's streak broken.
Damn near 300 starts in football.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 23 I don't know if we'll see that broken, Ocho.
Speaker 23 I don't know if we'll see that broken. Not in football.
Speaker 23 I don't know if we're going to see
Speaker 23
AC Green. I think AC Green got over 1,100 starts in basketball.
Now, I understand 82 games. Huh?
Speaker 24 No injuries? AC Green?
Speaker 23 Nah, you know, AC was a virgin, so, you know,
Speaker 23 he was, you know, he was sturdy, he was pure, yeah, pure.
Speaker 24 Is that did they just say that, you know, or was he really
Speaker 23 he said it? I mean, that's that was that's that's what the thing now. I would think had someone you know
Speaker 23 taken that from him, they would have reported that they would have said it. So,
Speaker 23 I have no reason to believe that uh anything otherwise, right?
Speaker 23 Uh,
Speaker 23 yeah, I mean, that that is a that is an amazing streak. I mean, that thing lasted
Speaker 23 122 races finals Carl Lewis's I think Carl Lewis won 65 consecutive long jump finals
Speaker 23 I think the Cuban Greco-Roman wrestler winning five gold medals.
Speaker 24 Okay, yeah, I know about I know I know
Speaker 23 who that is.
Speaker 24 I know about him.
Speaker 23 Oh man.
Speaker 23 I mean you I mean you really have to be like I mean you really, really have to
Speaker 23 sit down and really think about it and like, okay, what are we comparing? What do we actually? Because there's some pretty amazing feats. Oh, yeah.
Speaker 23
But that is pretty impressive. 97 sup, fellas.
Start, cut, trade. Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Tony Parker.
Speaker 23 the best all-around point guard of this bunch is Jason Kidd.
Speaker 23 He could assist, he could rebound, he could defend at an elite level.
Speaker 24 Yeah,
Speaker 23 so
Speaker 23 I'll start kidding
Speaker 23 Trey Parker. I'll cut Nash.
Speaker 24 Damn.
Speaker 23 Daniel Cummings, Ocho, bring back the sombrero.
Speaker 24 Hey.
Speaker 24 I got September, Spanish Heritage Month. I got it.
Speaker 23 Remedy
Speaker 23
944. Where's the love for big Quinn Williams and Big Kenny Clark? Tell Saquon they're looking for a new girlfriend, looking for a new girlfriend next weekend.
Oh, the big men played well. I mean,
Speaker 23 Zua played well tonight.
Speaker 23 They got after the court.
Speaker 23 I'm not saying the Cowboys didn't play well, but it's hard to judge them when you're playing the Raiders.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 23 Because the Raiders are so inept on that side of the football.
Speaker 23 So
Speaker 23
if they win against the Eagles and they play, we'll give them the credit. I don't have no problem giving the Cowboys credit.
But
Speaker 23 we saw how they look when they played the Cards.
Speaker 23 That didn't go too well. So it's really hard to grade them
Speaker 23 playing the Raiders. So I think, look,
Speaker 23 they got a five-week stretch here that we'll find out a lot more about the Dallas Cowboys. Yeah.
Speaker 23 Dwayne Jackson, Ocho, are you going to the Florida Classic this weekend? Go Rattlers.
Speaker 24 Hey, matter of fact, you know what? I'm going to call Coach Cozy. I'm going to call Coach Cozy.
Speaker 24 i'm going to the game if i can't if i can't go field side then i'll go with the band i'll call i'll call shelby chipman i'll sit with the band but um we what we got saturday we got we got
Speaker 24 we got the show saturday night right yeah
Speaker 24 i should be i should yeah yeah yeah i'm glad i'm glad you mentioned that because we finna we finna whoop the you know what the you know what out of Bethune Cookman
Speaker 23 Oh, y'all. Oh, okay.
Speaker 23 Where's the game? Where's the game?
Speaker 24
Right there in Orlando. The classic.
Oh, okay. Orlando, Uncle.
Speaker 24 Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, I think it might be at the Jaguar Stadium.
Speaker 23 Really?
Speaker 24
I think so. I'm not mistaken.
Wait, no.
Speaker 23 The Jaguar Stadium is in Jacksonville.
Speaker 24 I'm tripping. What stadium with it? I forgot the stadium.
Speaker 24 In Orlando, Uncle.
Speaker 23
I forgot the big stadium. Don't start me to line.
Yeah,
Speaker 23 they got a stadium in Lawrence. Or I guess where they play the Pro Bowl at or something? Well, they don't even play the Pro Bowl anymore, so.
Speaker 24 Yeah.
Speaker 24 I can't think of the stadium, but yeah, you know what? Now that you said it, you know, I was going, yeah, I'm going to the classic, man. So if you go to the classic,
Speaker 24 if you see the band, I'll probably be sitting right there with the band. If I'm not with the band, I'll be on the field.
Speaker 23
Ah, oh, Joe, Merry Christmas. Oh, here's $6,700.
I owe you. Yeah, tell me about it.
Speaker 23 This man going to give me my money for a Christmas gift. Yeah.
Speaker 24 That's a good gift, huh? That's a good gift. Think about it.
Speaker 24 If I give you money too early, how am I going to get my daughter the horse for Christmas?
Speaker 23 What if I wanted a horse?
Speaker 24 You don't know how to ride.
Speaker 23 I do.
Speaker 24 Your hip's bad.
Speaker 23 Oh,
Speaker 23
I'm riding the horse. He ain't on my back.
I ain't got to carry him.
Speaker 24 I'm saying, how you going to get your legs over the horse if you got bad hips?
Speaker 23 Easy.
Speaker 24
Nah, you don't riding a horse. I've never seen you on a horse.
Now, you've seen me on horses multiple times.
Speaker 24 I know how to ride a horse.
Speaker 23 I grew up in the country.
Speaker 23 I was riding a horse. I rode a horse before you was born.
Speaker 24 Okay, let's do this. How about we add that to the list of things we can do, you know, as far as content creating? Fishing, hunting, riding horses, you know,
Speaker 24 bowling, ping-pong, shooting pool. I mean, hang gliding,
Speaker 24
deep-sea diving. I mean, it's spearfishing.
Oh, Lord, have mercy. It's so much stuff.
Speaker 23 So much stuff.
Speaker 23 You see that guy held his breath for 29 minutes underwater?
Speaker 2 That wasn't real.
Speaker 24
They edited that. That's impossible.
The human body can, it's impossible.
Speaker 24
It's impossible. Even if you train for that, it's impossible.
The nomads, the nomads, I forgot, I forgot exactly where they are, that free dive and die to get stuck.
Speaker 24 They came 29, you know how long 29 minutes is?
Speaker 23 Yeah, I do know how long 29 minutes is.
Speaker 24 Man, shit.
Speaker 23
11 minutes. 11 minutes is the work without.
I guess he breathed pure oxygen.
Speaker 23 I don't know.
Speaker 24 You can train for that, you know, as far as.
Speaker 23 They call oxygen-assisted. So
Speaker 23 it's not like the, you know, you take that one last deep breath and then you go under. That means you got to slow your heart rate down to probably less than 10 bits a minute.
Speaker 24 Slow as hell.
Speaker 23 Yeah. Because
Speaker 23 that's how, you know,
Speaker 23 alligators, crocodiles, things like that,
Speaker 23 they slow their heart rate down just like
Speaker 23 you know me, Ocho. You know, when I was at my prime, I was in the mid-40s.
Speaker 23 40 what? 40 beats a minute.
Speaker 24 Oh, I thought you were talking about being underwater.
Speaker 23 Better, I ain't even been in a bathtub
Speaker 23 in 30 years.
Speaker 24 Oh, you only take showers?
Speaker 23 I only take showers.
Speaker 24 Oh, you fancy.
Speaker 24 Oh, you fancy. Okay.
Speaker 23 Bad A.
Speaker 23 Bet I get that bad tail, that ring running tail probably look like Saturn.
Speaker 23 Babe, please.
Speaker 23 I did.
Speaker 24 Yeah, nah.
Speaker 23
Sawyer Carlson. Ocho always say if he on the bench, they don't contribute.
I know Joe Burr is great, but it doesn't matter how good you are. If you can't play, stop being biased Ocho.
Speaker 23 He's injured more than he plays.
Speaker 23 He ain't lying, Ocho.
Speaker 23
Yeah, you're right. And he ain't gonna be that.
Guess what, Ocho? He ain't gonna play this season either. Because once y'all lose,
Speaker 23 once y'all lose
Speaker 23 Sunday, and y'all will, oh, y'all on the bye, oh, no, y'all had your bye week, and y'all will lose. Yeah,
Speaker 24 right, who is
Speaker 24 who we play this Sunday?
Speaker 24 Oh, we play the Patriots.
Speaker 23 Oh, Jeff.
Speaker 23 We play the Patriots. We play the Patriots.
Speaker 23 You didn't want to tell me that. You know, y'all about to catch this L.
Speaker 24 Hey,
Speaker 24 we're going to see.
Speaker 23
Oh, Henderson. Henderson about to run for a buck fifty.
Drake May gonna throw for $250.
Speaker 24 Man, I forgot about Henderson, man.
Speaker 24 And
Speaker 24
we struggle stopping the running. Buddy, fast.
We sure do.
Speaker 23 And buddy got speed to burn.
Speaker 24 Fast, boy.
Speaker 24 Damn, man.
Speaker 24 And I got gotta work the ravens i gotta work i gotta work the uh thanksgiving game
Speaker 23 who played thanksgiving ravens ravens bangles oh that's another l for y'all
Speaker 24 i'm gonna be at uh you're gonna lose your appetite no i'm not gonna lose my appetite i'm i'm i'm where i'm doing my ea stuff
Speaker 23 yeah
Speaker 24 damn
Speaker 23 kobe j cd and pickers probably got caught sneaking to the casino last night quinne williams looked good yeah quinny looked really good he said he wanted to win They got him surrounded by guys that Jerry, you know, Jerry's done it with Diggazua and Jadavian Clowney.
Speaker 23 And I don't think, I didn't see Fowler tonight.
Speaker 23 Williams can rush the passer. 53 got a sacks.
Speaker 23
I didn't catch his name. But they played well.
They played well. Give them credit.
They played well, but I don't really know how to
Speaker 23 properly evaluate them considering who they went up against.
Speaker 23
Kamara 0-0-1-2-3-4 as a Falcon fast. I want to get Mike Mike McCarthy as a head coach to develop Michael Pennix.
And with eight straight losing seasons, I think Mike will get us to the playoffs.
Speaker 23
Why do people resist Mike McCarthy? Because he had success in Green Bay and Dallas. He did.
He won. I mean,
Speaker 23 didn't win much. I mean, he watched 12, what?
Speaker 23 12 and five seasons, three of those in Dallas. But
Speaker 23 I think they won one playoff game. Didn't they beat the Patriots? I think they beat they were the one that Tom Brady's last game in the playoffs.
Speaker 23 They ended up beating 30 to nothing, 30 to 3, something like that.
Speaker 23
Will Victor Chase Hawk to a moment cost him 500k. Should have gave all Ocho instead of Ocho could have cut Unc's 600 to 700.
Love the show.
Speaker 23 Yeah,
Speaker 23 he had a lapse. Bad judgment.
Speaker 23 And
Speaker 23 he seemed like a guy that bought his paper.
Speaker 23
He ain't going to lose 500 more in no bull jive like that. I promise you that.
Samuel McGrath, Ocho, let them know they got to get on that McDonald's diet.
Speaker 24
Yeah. Hey, the injuries, the injuries continue to pile up.
They continue to pile up year after year. Same stuff.
Speaker 24 Soft tissue injury here, soft tissue injury there, you know, a tear here, a tear here, a break here, a break there. And for some reason,
Speaker 24 you know,
Speaker 24 I'm just saying,
Speaker 24 you know, everybody laugh at me. And, you know,
Speaker 24
I'm on the I'm telling them on the something. All 32 teams, I'm asking you again, bring me in as your nutritionist.
You got to have a healthy balance of both.
Speaker 24 Eating healthy all the time is why people's bodies are breaking down.
Speaker 23 That's why?
Speaker 24 Yeah, I'm telling you.
Speaker 23
Shakura said, I seen that film from 96. They robbed that pick from the defense how mad you were after the game, and I seen you wasn't blocking.
I was blocking Shakur. Yeah, I'm still mad about that.
Speaker 23
Terrence G said, come on, guys. Bears haven't been in first place since 2018.
Can we get a little more attention? Yes, I'm prepared to take the heat if we lose. Now, we gave y'all some love yesterday.
Speaker 23
We've been talking about Caleb Williams. Yeah.
Ocho picked them to be good at the beginning of the season.
Speaker 23 So we, I mean, we were talking about them before anybody else was talking about them.
Speaker 23 Totally to be talking about them. No,
Speaker 23 and we said don't look now, but they're in first place.
Speaker 23 No, but the Bears look good. They look good.
Speaker 23
Bear Gang 268. Somehow, Ocho predicted that both the Panthers and the Bears would improve, but couldn't see the Bengals being a dumpster foul.
Hey, hey, hey.
Speaker 24
Hey, that's not necessary. That's not necessary.
When it comes to the Bengal, obviously, I'm met with my heart.
Speaker 23 I'm met with my heart.
Speaker 24 I wasn't, yeah, I wasn't really using logic but when it came to the bears and the panthers i understood what the the offseason acquisitions i understood what they did in the draft i understood what the bears did going to get a coach that was that was very very good that was very creative and i understood caleb williams not only mindset but his skill set i understood what he was able to do and the relationship you know when you put someone as creative as as ben johnson you put him with a a a great skill set like goddamn caleb williams i understood what you was going to get
Speaker 24 rice young the way he ended ended the season last year, I already knew it was up for them.
Speaker 24 I already knew there's only one way to go, and that was up. And how are they doing this season?
Speaker 23
Okay. Good.
All right.
Speaker 23 Hey, bro, Arcanocho.
Speaker 23
Could y'all shout out my little bro, Lele for his 17th birthday? He rushed for five touchdowns to lead his team to the third round. Lele, happy 17th birthday.
Lele, what up?
Speaker 23
Congratulations on a big-time game. Congratulations on the team win and good luck moving forward in the playoffs.
Denzel from MTP, he a Bronco, he knows how to ride a horse. Yeah.
Speaker 24 All right, here we can go.
Speaker 23
Elijah McIra, what's up, Unc and Ocho? Love from Hinesville, Georgia. That's what I'm talking about.
That's Fort Stewart,
Speaker 23 24th Infantry Division.
Speaker 23
Does Unk have a deal with Marvel Looney Tunes? Get off these t-shirts. No, I do not.
Marvel Looney Tunes, hey, make it happen.
Speaker 23 That concludes this episode of Nightcap. We want to thank each and every one of you for joining us as the Dallas Cowboys run their record to 4-5-1.
Speaker 23
The Raiders dropped to 2-8 thanks to a 33-16 victory over the Raiders. Dak Prescott, very impressive.
25 of 33, 268, 4 touchdowns. And the defense sacked Geno Smith four times as they went.
Speaker 23
And Quinny Williams, in his debut, had a sack and a half at a tackle for loss. He played extremely, extremely well.
George Pickens, nine catches, a buck 44 and a touchdown.
Speaker 23 CeeDee Lamb had five for 66 and a touchdown.
Speaker 23 I am your favorite unc Shannon Sharp, and that is my partner and co-host, Liberty City's own Bingles Ring of Fame Honoree, a former Pro Bowler and an all-pro. He's Chad Ochosinko Johnson.
