Deep in the abyss where ancient creatures lurk, a motley crew must unite onboard the S.S. Thresher submarine to explore the abandoned Rán Boer station resting in the ocean’s unforgiving depths. Battling claustrophobia, paranoia, lurking behemoths, and hidden horrors, only one thing is certain; from the deep, power rises...

Speaker 20 Now, let us prepare for a harrowing journey into the abyss.

Speaker 34 Oh, well, hello, and welcome back to episode 2 of Thrasher.

Speaker 35 Oh, I am so excited to be back.

Speaker 28 Thank you so much for being here, and thank you so much to a wonderful cast.

Speaker 34 We have Nishidela, we have Jane Douglas, Abuba Castlem, Mark Sherlock Holmes, and Mara, and Jacqueline Emerson.

Speaker 35 Thank you so much for being here, guys.

Speaker 34 Very excited.

Speaker 20 I don't want to waste any more time, but we go ahead and get into this tonight's episode.

Speaker 40 SS Friends embarks on maiden trend.

Speaker 6 Beetles get the charts with Love Me Do, music's newest sensation.

Speaker 39 Tonight, General Dynamics prepares Ranger 3 to photograph the ocean's surface.

Speaker 41 Experts back.

Speaker 39 Draft Bousteau's Con Shelf 1 experiments begin. Humans living beneath ocean waves.

Speaker 39 Cuban missile crisis deepens.

Speaker 6 What disturbing wizard

Speaker 39 Operation Fishbowl launches nuclear tests over Pacific waters

Speaker 41 strange sea creatures spotted near Ukah.

Speaker 35 Feeling good?

Speaker 11 No.

Speaker 35 The lights have come back on.

Speaker 29 Suddenly, you can now see the illuminated ocean floor all around you, along with these several buildings.

Speaker 38 Hovering just above the two of you, you can see this creature.

Speaker 35 This one seems more refined, less scarred, less marked.

Speaker 38 You see that the face now has these two huge bulbous eyes on it.

Speaker 35 It seems to have a weird kind of seam that runs all the way down its body, almost like across the middle section, the whole thing, and it sort of looks curiously towards you.

Speaker 38 A mouth now just filled with rows and rows of teeth.

Speaker 21 And I think all of you as well, if from inside the

Speaker 21 this observatory, can also see this kind of slight moment, this slight hesitation, this standoff, as you suddenly feel your feet return.

Speaker 35 to the floor as the whatever power was back on in this particular observatory seems to be activating that pump and the room itself is now beginning to empty of water.

Speaker 38 But we're not going to start with you three.

Speaker 25 We're going to start out here.

Speaker 38 I will say, you've plugged this thing back in.

Speaker 25 What scar do we think that

Speaker 43 you have taken? What was this thing? My hand was crushed, right?

Speaker 43 When the thing slammed in, when Damon slammed in the power. So I think, yeah, like a crushed hand, you know, maybe a few broken fingers or something like that.

Speaker 25 You you know wrist is all bruised and blackened from the impact and yeah i think you can see like a physical mark like across the skin now where it's become discolored where like blood vessels had burst inside the hand and i think several of the fingers just don't work at like full capacity um

Speaker 46 and the two of you are there on the outside of this uh sort of now sort of all being lit up it's it's

Speaker 44 a really kind of quite odd sight.

Speaker 35 It's such a sort of clean, kind of neat exterior.

Speaker 25 All of the buildings here have this kind of strange, even though they've weathered and they've got barnacles, even just like the structure of it, it's not the same as, you know, what you would be used to with sort of lots of pipes and gears.

Speaker 25 And even on the inside, it's got all of that same familial texture, but it's almost like they made great effort to try and make this look somehow kind of sleek and the design of it is something sort of almost feels slightly otherworldly.

Speaker 30 You do have a see one of those big kind of

Speaker 25 doors on the outside, like another compression chamber that leads into the Colgrave Nexus not too far from you. As we're essentially in the standoff as the creature is kind of floating

Speaker 35 looking towards you.

Speaker 33 You can hear me my radio will be like

Speaker 33 there's a door behind us.

Speaker 33 Yeah.

Speaker 33 You better move slow. Okay.
Careful. Okay.
Cautious.

Speaker 33 Start making a move. Me got me eye on this one.
Okay. Just slowly take my knife

Speaker 33 readying essentially. Okay, let's go ahead and get in between if this thing goes for it.

Speaker 28 We're gonna ask for move, and this is essentially how well

Speaker 25 you sort of, without alerting it, without sort of, you know, making these sudden jerking motions, can get to the door without kind of startling it.

Speaker 11 Can I ask a question?

Speaker 33 I was in the observation.

Speaker 33 Yes, you were actually giving gay absence so you can both have an extra die because of the uh the little burgers hunt in packs, and it's not uncommon for the attacker to actually be the ruse while the rest of the pack is elsewhere.

Speaker 33 Don't give me ideas. What are you doing?

Speaker 33 I'm paying attention to

Speaker 33 where they are not focused.

Speaker 11 Yeah,

Speaker 43 I'm gonna spend a physical drive on this.

Speaker 33 I'm also gonna spend a drive, so I've got six die.

Speaker 4 Wow.

Speaker 43 Oh, okay.

Speaker 50 I'll get the five.

Speaker 33 Six.

Speaker 37 Six? Five. Five? Okay.

Speaker 25 As you

Speaker 35 move slowly, controlled, I think any moment of sort of slight wobble or unassuredness, also dealing with this crippling pain in your hand,

Speaker 51 you're supported well by Daemon as he sort of

Speaker 52 backs you in.

Speaker 35 the door kind of opening behind you, never taking your eyes off of this creature.

Speaker 48 And I think that

Speaker 36 what happens for you is you essentially have to keep your eyes on this creature and operating the door with your hand and it is burning painful as you take another mark in body as essentially you're having to use a broken hand to open this door without even looking and it is just excruciating but you can hear that like faint this the clicks and everything that you need you can hear it is an agonizing weight as you all watch on as you can see this room emptying with water as this creature just sort of floats there staring

Speaker 56 As you get down, the door opens, you go inside.

Speaker 44 There is a moment where you're still outside, it swims right towards you, its face right here.

Speaker 35 Make me a gilded roll.

Speaker 44 This is just the dice.

Speaker 11 Six, six, and I get nice.

Speaker 33 I get a thing back as well.

Speaker 28 With a six,

Speaker 43 it cocks its head slightly,

Speaker 46 reaches out,

Speaker 44 touches your head,

Speaker 44 and then just gently

Speaker 49 strokes down the side of your helmet.

Speaker 25 As you're slowly pulled back in and the door closes, the creature just looking.

Speaker 38 And as it's as the door closes, you see the creature shifts and it starts throwing itself at the door, like pounding against it.

Speaker 21 And you you can see it's leaving.

Speaker 45 Now, marks of blood you see start to appear on the outside.

Speaker 56 And a cloud of blood appears as it smashes its head into this thing.

Speaker 25 And you can't see now through the window for just a cloud of red.

Speaker 33 Come on.

Speaker 11 Backing away, yeah. Gotta go.
Yeah, yeah, I'm coming.

Speaker 35 Ah!

Speaker 27 So, the two of you find yourself inside of a laboratory.

Speaker 25 See, there are rows and rows of workstations.

Speaker 23 It does appear that this area has been unaffected.

Speaker 35 If you do choose to turn your oxygen off, you also find that

Speaker 4 immediately it's like throwing to the cast.

Speaker 33 And I'm gonna just, as I take it off, I'm kind of a bit shaky, and you see me pull out a little flask and sort of open it and just take a quick sip

Speaker 33 and close it and put it back.

Speaker 11 Thank you.

Speaker 37 Can you make me a focus roll, please?

Speaker 57 Demi?

Speaker 33 Focus, fuck. Oh, God.

Speaker 53 Okay. Is that two and take below us? Yeah.

Speaker 2 Four.

Speaker 54 Four. Okay.

Speaker 35 Um,

Speaker 3 I think you have a moment where

Speaker 25 there is a

Speaker 35 like desire for you to, like, act, to move, to do something.

Speaker 35 And you

Speaker 35 just about quell it, but I think that you know deep down that, like,

Speaker 28 you have to, like, something has to change soon.

Speaker 28 I kind of look around

Speaker 28 and I'm like,

Speaker 33 radio in.

Speaker 33 We safe, you safe.

Speaker 11 What happened?

Speaker 34 Are you alright? It's a power.

Speaker 58 It's all on, right?

Speaker 30 And it's the same for you as we cut back to this, uh, to the observatory.

Speaker 23 You are also now able to breathe without the use of the

Speaker 27 helms.

Speaker 59 Um,

Speaker 60 I take off my helmet.

Speaker 60 We can still communicate with our helmets off, yes?

Speaker 11 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 61 It seems the lights are back on.

Speaker 61 As for everything else, I'm not sure.

Speaker 50 Aku. Aku.

Speaker 5 No need to shout.

Speaker 33 As the water drains from the observation chamber, Aku sort of crumbles to the floor. The weight of his own body is now very hard for him to

Speaker 5 maintain.

Speaker 60 Emily rushes over and

Speaker 60 kind of tries to remove any extra weight or pieces of your suit that feel okay.

Speaker 60 Can I do a focus check on that?

Speaker 59 And just see sort of what I'm observing of his wounds and everything?

Speaker 58 Okay.

Speaker 32 And I'm gonna burn a drive on that.

Speaker 60 Okay, it's a four. Okay, four?

Speaker 25 Yeah, I think that you managed to get it off.

Speaker 45 Um, it doesn't seem like uh it's you're able to

Speaker 3 sort of help him uh with the kind of restricted, like the restricted movement, but like the pressure has been taken off of him now, like the suit, the the like the weight of the suit, especially considering it's now filled with water as well.

Speaker 25 Like, but you managed to like maybe like let the water out a little bit so that he's able to kind of like at least kind of get to his feet and sort of, you know, with the help of his with his cane, kind of you know, move around and walk around.

Speaker 11 You'll see.

Speaker 61 How are you feeling?

Speaker 33 I've been better.

Speaker 5 If you can

Speaker 33 undo the seal by my boot, at least I can drain the rest of the water from the suit.

Speaker 58 Yes, of course.

Speaker 61 Emily leans down to untie her. Okay.

Speaker 61 Thank you.

Speaker 26 We will cut back to

Speaker 11 the

Speaker 36 Colgrave Nexus.

Speaker 46 You You see that there is

Speaker 30 these benches, pipes

Speaker 3 kind of leading, there is all these kind of vials and you kind of imagine that they were filled with all sorts of like different types of flora and fauna.

Speaker 3 They seem to have been mostly studying the sort of inhabitants of wildlife.

Speaker 49 You'll see like an anglerfish kind of cut open and dissected and

Speaker 63 there's a few things, the odd sort of plant or fish perhaps that doesn't look quite normal whether it be teeth that are too long, or there's sort of spines on the body, an eye in the wrong place.

Speaker 51 And I think that on the desk not too far away from you, you do see another one of these little kind of leather pouches with

Speaker 32 the strap around it.

Speaker 43 Yeah, I'll go up to it and take it. Yeah.

Speaker 35 Yeah, you pop it open.

Speaker 25 It's another one of those things. Do you want to?

Speaker 23 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 43 I'll play it. Like, maybe it's like, you know, waiting for Damon to kind of figure out, you know, looking around, trying to see where we can go from here.

Speaker 3 But I'll walk around with it, so I'm kind of playing it as we move. Yeah, what it's uh, what's Damon doing?

Speaker 50 That's your, yeah. I think, um,

Speaker 33 I think I'm I go towards you to see what

Speaker 46 yeah, and there's lights on now as well, so it's much easier for you to move around.

Speaker 51 It does look like there's a um, there's a door which sort of leads further into the sort of laboratory sort of area.

Speaker 62 Um, with it does actually seem to have some like flickering lights on and stuff on inside there as well.

Speaker 33 Probably, yeah, I'll probably listen to this and keep my eye on the door.

Speaker 50 Yeah, great.

Speaker 50 The dreams.

Speaker 50 They're different now.

Speaker 50 You used to be constant, insidious, like

Speaker 64 something creeping into the cracks.

Speaker 6 Waves swallowing cities.

Speaker 64 Your faces I recognize, but

Speaker 6 twisted

Speaker 6 and distorted.

Speaker 64 I wake up sweating,

Speaker 64 gasping, and then knowing something was watching me.

Speaker 64 But

Speaker 6 after I stole the vault seat, you know, just the one.

Speaker 6 And then, like that, the dream stopped.

Speaker 6 I sleep with the damn thing under my pillow now. Keep it in the hole.

Speaker 64 I drilled a hole in my queen piece.

Speaker 6 You know, checkmate, right?

Speaker 6 It reminds me of my sis. Gosh, I hope she's...

Speaker 6 Marcus!

Speaker 6 56.

Speaker 6 I don't know if I should even be recording this, but

Speaker 6 I need something to keep track.

Speaker 6 These damn pills that...

Speaker 6 They're supposed to help, right?

Speaker 64 But ever since Yuvet gave me this new badge, they just make me feel

Speaker 64 wrong.

Speaker 39 Like there's something thick in my throat. This buildup.
God.

Speaker 39 This smell.

Speaker 39 This is like an oil slicker. A rotten fish.
It just sits there.

Speaker 39 I can't.

Speaker 39 See?

Speaker 39 That's not normal.

Speaker 39 I could keep telling myself I'm just run down,

Speaker 39 nerve shot, but but something's off.

Speaker 39 I should ask you that she'll know

Speaker 39 she always does.

Speaker 39 Or maybe I should just stop taking them and see what happens.

Speaker 39 Yeah,

Speaker 39 maybe maybe I'll do

Speaker 39 it.

Speaker 39 And it cuts out.

Speaker 39 Marcus!

Speaker 11 It just collapsed to the ground holding the recorder.

Speaker 11 Gotta look.

Speaker 11 They made him one of those things.

Speaker 11 I knew he shouldn't have taken that job.

Speaker 20 We will return right after this short.

Speaker 20 We now return to Thresher.

Speaker 33 And you can just see, like,

Speaker 33 Damon's just looking a bit lost and sort of puts a

Speaker 33 light hand on you and sort of pats.

Speaker 11 Sorry, I know we got a job to do, and

Speaker 11 he's my brother, Marcus.

Speaker 11 He's who I came here to find.

Speaker 11 I was hoping he might still be here.

Speaker 11 I don't know what they did to him, but it sounds like these pills he was taking or something was all connected to all of this.

Speaker 11 Yeah,

Speaker 60 I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Speaker 11 I know. No, no, no, no.

Speaker 33 You don't need to apologize, just

Speaker 33 this

Speaker 33 make it worth it.

Speaker 11 Yeah.

Speaker 11 Yeah.

Speaker 11 Yeah.

Speaker 6 Thank you.

Speaker 11 Alright.

Speaker 53 I think in this moment, that earlier brain scar that you had,

Speaker 21 it feels

Speaker 35 so

Speaker 25 present.

Speaker 35 Like a pressure that's pushing down.

Speaker 25 Almost like it's in between your brain and your skull.

Speaker 55 It's like a weight.

Speaker 45 And I think that as you sit there

Speaker 45 and

Speaker 48 sort of hear this information and think these thoughts,

Speaker 35 I think you realize that pressure's been there for a lot longer than since you've been down here.

Speaker 3 I do think there is a moment

Speaker 32 where

Speaker 30 even if

Speaker 21 so slowly

Speaker 38 that pressure starts to ease.

Speaker 30 As at least there is some

Speaker 62 some level of understanding.

Speaker 43 Damon, why did you come here? Are you just here for the job, for the money?

Speaker 43 I know the doctor. Yvette.

Speaker 11 Yvette? Yeah.

Speaker 11 It's the one.

Speaker 50 Looking for her.

Speaker 54 You're looking for her too?

Speaker 4 Yeah.

Speaker 4 Okay.

Speaker 11 She.

Speaker 43 You care about her or is this something else?

Speaker 43 Something else.

Speaker 43 I think she did this to Marcus.

Speaker 11 They all did.

Speaker 43 I want to make him pay.

Speaker 26 You helped me make him pay?

Speaker 26 Okay.

Speaker 26 I'm with you.

Speaker 6 Let's do this.

Speaker 33 I go towards the door, towards the flickering light.

Speaker 52 As you walk in

Speaker 55 through that door, which slides open,

Speaker 29 you see a very strange sight.

Speaker 52 It's very unlike everything that you'd seen thus far.

Speaker 38 Almost as if completely untouched.

Speaker 36 You find yourselves in what appeared to be a living quarters.

Speaker 55 But it doesn't look like it was meant to be a living quarters.

Speaker 21 Like a sort of cot has been sort of makeshift in the corner and you look to the side and you see that flickering is a bunch of sort of lights, almost like

Speaker 35 fairy lights, been put up surrounding what appears to be some sort of shrine.

Speaker 29 And on it you can see a myriad of papers, of images, of

Speaker 26 articles,

Speaker 30 all of these things that seem to pertain to

Speaker 47 mentions of something

Speaker 11 called

Speaker 44 like something anything to do with the rifts.

Speaker 35 Like, rift is a word that comes up constantly.

Speaker 35 And

Speaker 26 I'll have both of you roll me

Speaker 62 survey, please.

Speaker 33 Six.

Speaker 11 Four. Four.

Speaker 6 Four.

Speaker 52 You reach down and you see

Speaker 48 a letter.

Speaker 51 A letter that seems to be not directed to anyone, almost like a sort of love letter, something written in passion

Speaker 53 in a moment.

Speaker 25 It's very kind of scattered.

Speaker 35 And it's talking of just like a pure admiration and joy and sort of love for this person and what they have done and the things that they have achieved.

Speaker 25 And you see that at the bottom is signed Yvette Durant.

Speaker 32 Dr. Yvette Durant.

Speaker 62 You look around a couple more letters and you notice that there is a

Speaker 25 theme as one name seems to appear

Speaker 32 quite frequently.

Speaker 35 As

Speaker 30 you start piecing it together,

Speaker 35 you see it first and I think there's a moment where you're like, no, that can't be possible.

Speaker 52 But you notice Hercule.

Speaker 11 Hercule

Speaker 23 Dibodin.

Speaker 25 These letters are addressed to Hercule.

Speaker 37 And as

Speaker 46 you touch these letters and everything, you start to get this strange feeling, this

Speaker 51 oily texture in your mouth.

Speaker 35 Which is only made worse by when you, with a six, look up and see right in the centre

Speaker 35 of this shrine, there is a picture.

Speaker 53 On it is the words, My Hercules.

Speaker 51 And there's a picture of a man

Speaker 35 that does not look

Speaker 32 like the man that you are currently traveling with.

Speaker 33 I turn my radio off and I look at you.

Speaker 43 I turn my radio off. off.

Speaker 43 Don't tell

Speaker 33 anyone over there what we saw.

Speaker 4 Especially

Speaker 6 Mr. Poirot over there, understand?

Speaker 11 Yeah.

Speaker 11 Oh, yeah.

Speaker 11 Yeah. Okay.

Speaker 33 Okay.

Speaker 33 Can you, um...

Speaker 33 Is there another door here, is there, or is this like the dead end room?

Speaker 25 Uh, there is a... I'll say with a six, actually, you do notice that there is a little like hatch and then

Speaker 63 like which seems to have like a ladder that goes down if you want to do

Speaker 43 Can I do something with one of my turn the tides? Absolutely.

Speaker 43 I'm furious. Yeah.
I'm really mad about everything that's happening.

Speaker 36 And I want to. Just a very quick clarify for everyone watching at home.

Speaker 46 So when our players, our wonderful players, achieve an objective, which I set out for them, I give them a token and that allows them to shift the tide, which essentially means that they get to take control of the narrative for a beat.

Speaker 25 There are some restrictions that you can't just hurt another player or kill another player, but you can help another player, you can find something, you can move the story forward in any way that you would like to.

Speaker 21 So please, take it away.

Speaker 43 What I would like to do is, you know, in a few moments, maybe while Damon is kind of examining things, checking out this hatch, I in a fury just go into the lab and I start grabbing stuff.

Speaker 43 A pipe, a canister, maybe of a gas or an air, and I start building something.

Speaker 43 And I want to make basically like a pipe gun, like a kind of you know, nail gun, basically, and just slam this thing together as quick as can possible, like grab just supplies, whatever I can find, and just load this thing up as a loaded, ready-to-use, like deadly weapon.

Speaker 11 Yep.

Speaker 33 And

Speaker 33 I think as you do that, and you and I'm kind of left in the room,

Speaker 33 I'm gonna give you this.

Speaker 33 And I'm kind of like surveying everything, but I'm looking at this picture.

Speaker 33 And I'm gonna focus on this picture.

Speaker 33 Okay.

Speaker 33 And then kind of wait. And then move back in and sort of

Speaker 33 look at this gun that you've made.

Speaker 43 Like throw like a strap of bandoliers or, you know, things over there. And I'm just like,

Speaker 33 you mean business, huh?

Speaker 33 Yeah,

Speaker 43 I mean business.

Speaker 43 Whatever those fucking things are, whoever he is,

Speaker 43 I want answers.

Speaker 43 Alright.

Speaker 43 Alright.

Speaker 6 Let's go. Let's go.

Speaker 33 I turned the radio back on. I'm like, hey.

Speaker 33 Where are you Lord hiding?

Speaker 66 Are we still at the observatory?

Speaker 33 Are you safe?

Speaker 33 We saw you go in.

Speaker 33 Yeah, we're good, we're good.

Speaker 11 Fine.

Speaker 33 What did you find in there? Anything of use?

Speaker 33 Suddenly, I kind of got quiet.

Speaker 43 Just a bunch of lab stuff, science stuff, you know.

Speaker 43 Nothing, nothing important here.

Speaker 66 I feel like we should come to you. Can we move?

Speaker 11 Emily, old man, Urkiel, can you move?

Speaker 33 I will be moving very slowly if one of you would be willing to.

Speaker 43 There's more of those things out there.

Speaker 66 That's why we should be together. I shoulder.

Speaker 11 I shaller a cure.

Speaker 43 Can you find any way down? We found a hatch that leads down. Maybe we can meet up somewhere else.

Speaker 61 They said something about tunnels. With the tunnels, you can get anywhere.

Speaker 62 As you are sort of having this conversation and power has been restored to this area,

Speaker 48 a little fountain sort of suddenly appears in the middle of the room where that little

Speaker 3 pond display was, and you see that projected onto the side of this fountain uh this sort of rather pleasant looking uh blonde lady stands there and goes

Speaker 57 hi uh

Speaker 67 if you're looking for any information on our glorious station of rambior please feel free to direct them to me

Speaker 54 um

Speaker 57 where the tunnels huh the tunnels we don't have tunnels what would we have tunnels for

Speaker 61 to connect the different rooms hmm to connect all the different stations There is no tunnels.

Speaker 57 Unless you're, of course, you're referring to our service tubes.

Speaker 66 Tell us about these service tubes.

Speaker 57 Just the ones I'm assuming that you came through to get along that door? Hmm.

Speaker 48 You do remember earlier ref when those tunnels were first referenced, they were referenced as not being on like any like schematic or sort of like not showing up, so potentially not being official.

Speaker 33 Can you tell us more about the purpose of

Speaker 33 Billow's Reach?

Speaker 67 Yes, Billow's Reach was designed and intended to stop any unwanted flow or currents from damaging the rest of the Rambior station.

Speaker 57 Works quite effectively.

Speaker 67 Also, sometimes it was used to help transport individuals across the station, making travel times that little bit quicker.

Speaker 33 Is there a safety

Speaker 33 threshold? Is there a safety threshold set on this

Speaker 33 these controls?

Speaker 57 Absolutely, of course. Safety is our number one concern at Atlantech.

Speaker 61 Is there any way we could use them to reach the laboratory?

Speaker 61 Hmm.

Speaker 57 You certainly could, but it would require someone inside to operate it.

Speaker 67 The quickest way to the laboratory would just be to swim across. It's right there.

Speaker 3 She points across.

Speaker 61 Do you think you can make the swim?

Speaker 33 Yes, if.

Speaker 33 You don't mind, I might need to tether myself to one of you just in case. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 61 We need to make sure you don't get any more scars. And she pointedly looks at both your neck and your ribs.

Speaker 2 I appreciate your concern.

Speaker 66 You're right, old man. You look a bit peaky.

Speaker 66 I mean, above and beyond the obvious.

Speaker 33 It's not every day you get body slammed by.

Speaker 32 Well, yeah.

Speaker 33 A fish.

Speaker 66 Maybe the lab.

Speaker 8 Maybe the lab will have something.

Speaker 61 We could also go through the tubes, no?

Speaker 61 Through the Crimson Strand and then over?

Speaker 33 That recording about those hidden tunnels.

Speaker 33 That new scientist talked about a

Speaker 33 humming, a sound.

Speaker 58 Yes.

Speaker 33 Perhaps instead of looking for an entrance,

Speaker 5 we should be

Speaker 33 feeling for vibration.

Speaker 2 Or listening, yes.

Speaker 33 She mentioned

Speaker 37 symbols which

Speaker 33 she did not understand. It doesn't sound like something that was inherent to the base itself.

Speaker 61 It is something I'd love to check out further.

Speaker 59 Um,

Speaker 56 I'm gonna put my ear to the ground.

Speaker 3 Did you mention, by the way, having found one of the tunnels?

Speaker 50 Yeah, we went, yeah.

Speaker 43 I think we said that there was a hatch, yeah, a hatch that we're going through.

Speaker 33 We're going through one of these tunnels.

Speaker 33 That's the service tunnel?

Speaker 32 Are you asking the well, me or the yeah, yeah, I'll ask these like what we've been accessing?

Speaker 11 If you reach something different, it's like a secret.

Speaker 33 Yeah, secret tunnel, yeah.

Speaker 4 Secret tunnel. If you read secret tunnel.

Speaker 43 If you, uh, I guess, like, do you guys tell us on the radio that you're coming?

Speaker 23 Are you trying to come in over or?

Speaker 66 Yeah, yeah. Don't go yet.
Don't go yet. We'll come to you.

Speaker 33 Also, though, we have met some sort of

Speaker 33 library interface. Are there questions you want us to ask? Information perhaps that we can relay to you.
I click off my radio. Yeah, who the fuck you are? Click it back on.
Nothing from me.

Speaker 33 I start.

Speaker 33 If I know you guys are coming this way, I'm gonna start destroying the shrine yeah same i'm gonna go in there take all the letters

Speaker 43 yeah like start ruining all of that like incinerating that or like burning it shredding it one as you um

Speaker 63 touch uh parts of the shrine as well uh you start to get that same oily fishy taste in your mouth

Speaker 33 great

Speaker 23 we will be right back after this break

Speaker 15 So, um, I was just parking my car and then I saw you.

Speaker 17 A Gecko. Huge fan.

Speaker 5 I'm always honored to meet fans out in the wild.

Speaker 68 The honor's mine.

Speaker 41 I just love being able to file a claim in under two minutes with the Geico app.

Speaker 5 Well, the Geico app is top-notch.

Speaker 68 I know you get asked this all the time, but could you sign it?

Speaker 5 Sign what? The app?

Speaker 68 Yeah, sure. Oh, that means so much.

Speaker 17 Oh, it rubbed off the screen when I touched it.

Speaker 68 Could you sign it again?

Speaker 19 We quilt this city, we quilt this city with a comfy roll

Speaker 41 with Quilted Northern, to be specific.

Speaker 41 So cushy and so plushy.

Speaker 41 Just give it a try. Feeling it's believing.

Speaker 41 Quilted with three cushy layers for your comfort. The quilted comfort of quilted northern.

Speaker 41 We know what's comfy and now you do too.

Speaker 68 Keep it quilted with Quilted Northern.

Speaker 20 We now return to Thrusher.

Speaker 35 Cool. So we're going to make our way over, the three of you.

Speaker 11 Tethered, yeah.

Speaker 37 Great.

Speaker 27 Can you, all of you, roll me just one D6?

Speaker 33 So are we trying to use this Bellows Reach to adjust the currents to help us make this passage?

Speaker 61 I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Speaker 66 Isn't it a shorter swim?

Speaker 35 Yes, back to Bellows Reach.

Speaker 21 Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 35 So if you wanted to go into the Bellows Reach and adjust it so that you could then sort of give you a boost across, then absolutely you could do that.

Speaker 33 I want to spend as little time in these waters as possible.

Speaker 58 Okay, everyone go roll me at six.

Speaker 27 Six.

Speaker 8 Five.

Speaker 8 Five.

Speaker 45 Okay, very good.

Speaker 25 And then I'll just get a focus roll from you as you go in and you sort of essentially all of these

Speaker 35 back in the billows reach now. You see that there are these lines kind of connecting.

Speaker 35 You can see actually now what seems to be quite clear is that when one light is on, it sort of directs, it sort of goes up a line and then connects to another dot and to another dot.

Speaker 30 And I think what you piece together

Speaker 25 just from looking at it, whether you can control it is a different thing, is essentially like it starts with the current, and then the each dot is like a panel that it's adjusting.

Speaker 35 And so it can direct that current then to a different place, essentially.

Speaker 35 So, roll me focus to see if you essentially can work out which one would point you in the direction

Speaker 51 of the

Speaker 25 Colgrave Nexus.

Speaker 66 That's six.

Speaker 21 Six, okay.

Speaker 11 Yeah, you, it's not too difficult.

Speaker 25 I think actually inside of the Colgrave Nexus, you suddenly kind of hear like an audible,

Speaker 35 like rushing of water suddenly, and like you look outside like the windows, and there is like literally like a stream of bubbles sort of now almost like enveloping the Colgrave Nexus. So

Speaker 37 amazing. You're going out now.

Speaker 11 Teva.

Speaker 35 So I will need all of you to make me a move roll.

Speaker 11 All right.

Speaker 61 How high stakes is this?

Speaker 11 Pretty high stakes, yeah.

Speaker 59 Alright, I'm gonna burn a drive using my cunning.

Speaker 67 Would yeah, would the

Speaker 33 thing give them a bit. Oh no, well, I guess you probably accounted for that.

Speaker 33 No, the idea of them pushing it towards them. So, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 44 It's just the roles.

Speaker 44 Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 25 It's less about them getting across, it's more about them

Speaker 11 slowing down.

Speaker 11 It's a six.

Speaker 37 Six.

Speaker 11 Two. A two.

Speaker 11 A roll of three. Three.
Okay.

Speaker 35 So you

Speaker 30 get back sort of outside.

Speaker 25 You can see this current now.

Speaker 52 I think somewhere you hear a distant...

Speaker 35 And I think that kind of prompts you to just move quickly.

Speaker 25 I think you go first, straight away in, you get caught in this stream and you find yourself, you put your like hands and everything out and you brace against the door, you sort of land on it and begin immediately sort of having sort of learned from Betty like how to open these things and decompress etc.

Speaker 21 So you start opening the door and I think then what happens is the two of you, as you suddenly come rushing through, the door doesn't quite decompress properly.

Speaker 56 You both slam into it and the door now like kind of crashes through having not decompressed properly and it essentially becomes like a washing machine on the inside.

Speaker 56 And each of you are going to take a body mark

Speaker 25 as you get, like, there's a essentially a moment as the room now finishes filling with water.

Speaker 25 This door now somewhat broken, you're getting slammed against the walls and the sides until eventually it kind of settles down.

Speaker 8 You're right.

Speaker 15 I'm okay.

Speaker 11 Yeah.

Speaker 53 I can just hear it faintly from somewhere outside. This door.

Speaker 66 It's outside.

Speaker 12 It's outside.

Speaker 33 So do we hear that bang?

Speaker 4 Yeah. So

Speaker 33 I think we're going to run then, right? And try and...

Speaker 51 So I think what you see, and I think you know this instinctively, Betty,

Speaker 21 is that you see the three of them in there.

Speaker 53 They seem to be looking at the door rather concerned, perhaps hearing something, though you can't.

Speaker 35 But you know for a fact that that door can't seal right now.

Speaker 21 And if it can't seal, you can't depressurize and they can't open this other door.

Speaker 43 Flip the radio on.

Speaker 43 You can't open that door. The seal's ruined.
It's not going to depressurize. You're not going to be able to get inside.
You can't use that door now.

Speaker 23 What?

Speaker 40 So what do we do?

Speaker 53 I'm going to say that you can essentially try and coach them through it if you spend a drive to let one of them attempt a sense roll.

Speaker 35 To try and basically fix it.

Speaker 53 But you're going to have to try and talk them through it.

Speaker 15 Okay.

Speaker 15 Val.

Speaker 43 Yeah. I'm going to try and talk you through it, how the mechanism works, okay? You're going to have to try and do this, okay?

Speaker 23 So yeah, I'll spend my one drive that I've got in there that I got back.

Speaker 43 Betty, talk to me. Okay, you're going to need to go in.
There's a lever on the inside.

Speaker 43 If the damage, the panel's broken, you need to get in, get into the wires, cross it from green to blue, blue to red.

Speaker 43 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 11 That's it. Okay, simple.

Speaker 33 Val, you understand what she's saying.

Speaker 66 And this is a driven. I mean, this is.

Speaker 23 Yes, you get an extra die.

Speaker 12 And this is a sense. Sense, okay.

Speaker 12 Alright.

Speaker 4 Pair of fours.

Speaker 25 Pair of fours. Okay.

Speaker 56 You manage to

Speaker 21 get the seal

Speaker 25 sort of sealed enough, essentially, so that you can...

Speaker 3 The door

Speaker 3 shuts in.

Speaker 30 And I think it takes a sort of painful amount of time.

Speaker 46 as the water is slowly draining, draining, draining, draining.

Speaker 21 And it's with inside the lab, as this door swings open and the sort of five of you are reunited, you see that emerging

Speaker 11 out

Speaker 35 of the hatch,

Speaker 24 this creature, one hand,

Speaker 11 two hands.

Speaker 21 This concludes part one of this podcast episode.
