Hi, girlies and boys out there.
Today, we do the Oscars episode because I was lucky enough and very, very honored to actually attend the ceremony this year, invited by a very, very dear friend of mine who was nominated.
It was an incredible experience for an artist like me who has been acting on and off my entire life.
It reminded me how much I love being an artist, how much I love being around
peers.
It was such a special night of celebration and it was very touching.
And I hope you guys enjoyed because I'm bringing a very special guest who has a lot of inside scoop of the behind the scenes that goes on during this very special day.
So before I bring you the episode, there's a bunch of people that I really, really...
need to thank that take credit for helping me make this night so so special and obviously made me look like a princess because, as most of you guys know, I do not look like that on my everyday life.
Usually, I'm wearing sweats and getting in and out of the dog park with Phoenix.
So, first of all, thank you so much for stylist Elisa Ray.
She's the sweetest thing in the world.
She's so patient.
She's so knowledgeable.
If you guys never worked with a stylist before, and I know it can be very intimidating, a lot of them are snobbish.
A lot of them are like really hard to get, cost a fortune.
Elisa is incredible because she's very sweet,
very knowledgeable.
She sent me a bunch of mood boards before of the day.
She really understands your body, your personality, and she really takes all of that into consideration when it comes to creating the look.
So thank you with all my heart.
Elisa for working so closely with me in the weeks before the Oscars and coming back and forth between Long Beach and my place in Beverly Hills and bringing in a bunch of dresses so we could try a bunch of looks on.
She is incredible.
Her Instagram is style by Eliza Ray.
Thank you so much, Privé LA, for bringing a fabulous glam squad for my hair and makeup and for helping me get ready and making me look like a movie star.
Thank you so much, Simon G.
Jury.
They've been my partners for a long time.
I love you guys.
They have the most incredible ice, ice baby.
Thanks for bringing the bling bling.
And by the way, same thing.
Of course, a lot of the jewelry companies out there are insanely crazy, crazy expensive for the multi-millionaires only.
Simon G is fantastic because they have jewelry for in all price points.
So if you're thinking about giving your partner, your wife, somebody special in your life, a special gift and you don't have the insane multi-million dollar budget, check them out on simong.com or send me a message directly, and I'll hook you up with some really special discounts.
I will connect you with the owner directly.
Thank you so much, my dear friend Leandro Salvadore, owner of brand LSS Paris, for designing this custom-made gown that I ended up wearing.
It's to die for beautiful.
You guys can see the pictures all over my social media.
It's unbelievable.
So, if you guys have any gala dinners, gala parties, events coming up, of course, he will be in con.
He dresses celebrities and women all over the world with haute couture and ready to wear.
Send him a message directly on Instagram, LSSParis, or again, DM me and I'll hook you guys up with him directly.
Thank you for the gorgeous Cinderella shoes and clutch, Gabiano Los Angeles.
You guys are amazing.
And for transportation, we were lucky enough to get a private driver by, again, Privé LA, the luxury concierge services top agency here in LA and worldwide.
Thank you guys.
You made it all amazing.
It was definitely a very special night for me, a great experience, but I'm going to tell you guys.
all the behind the scenes what's great what's not so great how does it really work can you get into the after parties on this episode so i really hope you guys enjoy it

Hi, good good morning, beautiful girlies and guys out there.
Today, we're doing a special Oscars edition of Carondeleuz.
I had the honor and pleasure of being at the Oscars this year.
So, I brought a very special guest to talk about it, dissect the fashions, of course, and tell you guys what really happens behind the scenes.
So, let me introduce her.
For those of you who do listen to Caronde Luz, you've heard of her before because she did another episode with me.
Her name is Majde Behemin.
I hope I pronounced it right yeah i love saying your name maj de come a little closer to me so we we're both close to the microphone maj de hi hi let me introduce you to my audience for people that don't know you you're the owner of one of the top luxury concierge companies in the world called prevale correct and you basically specialize in luxury experiences crazy high-end reservations in impossible places to get into,
hard parties, hard to get access to, correct correct so let's talk about the Oscars and because I was there and a lot of people what we see on TV we were talking before I got started it's not a real situation there right she's shaking her head yeah so let's start from the beginning I know because people see like I was talking to my dad last night too people see the photos the glamour and and the beautiful dresses and everything they don't know the chaos that it is and how many people are actually there, right?
So, can you help me explain, like, how it's, it's a huge event.
It's literally thousands and thousands of people trying to be on time arriving at Adolbe Theater.
Yes, I have to be honest, guys.
Like, honestly, going to the Oscars to, I don't think it's really fun.
In terms of, like, you have to sit there for like, about like four hours, right?
Yes.
So, and the security is really tight.
You can't really, you know, as you can see on the TV, things people are like walking on the carpet and then taking their time.
It's not like that at all.
You know, as soon as you get in, you have to quickly take a picture.
You can't even have your phone on, you know, you have to put your phone away and take a quick picture and move on.
And people are like yelling at you.
You feel like you're on the, you know, when you're in the...
at the airport at the security line i feel the same way it is that's a great analogy because it's so true like when i was getting ready so let's start from from the getting ready process.
I was able to go because a very dear friend of mine was nominated for best uh international movie.
I'm not sure exactly how they call it the category, but they're from Poland and they were nominated.
So, they were nice enough to invite me.
I'm like, Okay, yeah.
So, I got the dress, and you brought a whole glam squad to help me get ready.
That's another thing that Privy does as well, which is super cool because
I've done hair and makeup a million times for work, but I never had a glam squad come and help me get ready for an event.
And it's an amazing experience.
You bring a top hairstylist, you bring a makeup artist, and you were actually helping me get into this dress that because my stylist, Elisa, wasn't here the day of that I was getting ready on Sunday.
And we had a really hard time just getting me on this crazy, complicated dress.
That's right.
Yeah, so the stress starts like getting ready, the pressure.
Yeah, so we started getting ready.
Yeah, so for those of you who don't know, the show is live at 5 p.m.
It starts.
Yeah, 5 p.m.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So the red carb starts at 5 p.m.
So I literally needed to be out the door.
The show starts at 5.
Yeah.
I didn't know that.
So like it's Sunday and I never got ready in my life before, like during the day for such a glamorous event.
So I'm starting to feel pressure.
And of course, being me, I should have like done a cleansing a few days after make my body red a lot no i was drinking wine and eating cheese and like whatever so we're having a hard time like making this dress like it had a million things we need to tie la la la we're getting ready and they by the way thanks one million times prevale if anybody out there is listening if you guys gotta get ready to a gala dinner a wedding a high-end luxury party call these guys because they're gonna make you look like a million bucks and i want to be honest when people were looking at my instagram pictures i'm getting a lot of of compliments obviously I don't look like that every day I look like I just came back from the dog park
so thank you for making me look Oscar worthy of course and you always look amazing huge shout out to Elisa my stylist huge shout out to Leandre owner of brand LSS Paris for the fantastic dress I do agree I think like I look like a million bucks I look like a movie star that I am not yet so we get ready and you also send transportation because you also do that correct so you're like a full service like a full service concierge company so we do it all one-stop shop and
just let us know what you guys want and then we'll be there to help you guys to get ready for your big advance or you know do your advance or send you out to the private island you know we make you know you make dreams come true yeah so i'm like having this princess day so i'm ready in my gorgeous red dress, and they did my hair and they did my makeup, and I look amazing, and I have these insanely high heels.
So to be honest, I wasn't very comfortable because the dress is tight as hell.
And I was afraid my boobs are going to pop out of the dress.
But that's a whole other story.
But I'm like going to go and rock it.
So I leave out the door and I was thinking, oh, I'm going to film the entrance and I'm going to have all these videos.
But like you were saying, once you get there, first of all, there's a huge line of cars.
You guys got to remember, it's like over 3,000 people, right?
Getting in the Dolby Theater.
Yeah, about that.
But I mean, yeah, it's not what you see in the TV for sure.
Like, you won't be able to.
I actually forgot to tell you this.
I was like, well, you, I was like, I don't think she can take videos.
As soon as you pass that line, you know, they're like, put your phone away.
Yes.
Take your picture and move next person.
Exactly.
So that's not a fun experience.
But of course, it's a pleasure to be at the office.
It's a lot, you know.
But I'm just saying, like, it's different, like, because I'm not one of the nominated stars, obviously.
So, we have a different, like, because there's a bunch of security lines there.
There's a ton of security.
So, you have to go through security, like at an airport, you have to, like, open your bag and go through the metal detector, which is not very glamorous at all.
And you're literally standing out there in line, waiting to get in.
So, by the time we get to see the red carpet, yeah, there's so many photographers there.
You're absolutely right.
They're shushing you.
Like,
they don't want you to use your cell phone because all photographers are like, have credentials and they're like making you walk in.
Yeah.
So, by the time you go through all of that, it's almost like time for the show to start.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then you just have to take your pictures, and you don't even have any pictures yet, right?
I had, I have one.
I have one.
Yeah, I got one because I was lucky because there's like a line of photographers.
And of course, their priorities to photograph the famous people.
One of the photographers knew me because he goes to a bunch of events that I go to.
And I'm embarrassed because I honestly forgot his name.
I'm horrible in names, but I'm going to look and give him a shout out.
So he saw me because they literally make you like walk and move.
So he's like, Kat, Kat.
I'm like, hi.
So he took a picture of me.
So I was very lucky.
Yeah, because when you like to shout out your name, you know, they were like, yeah, obviously, if you are a celebrity or, you know, someone famous, you know, of course, they recognize you.
So they're going to shout out your name.
Hey, look this way, look this way.
You know, and that's a lot of pressure pressure too it is guys yeah so it is it's pressure because like for our like honestly of course i really enjoyed my day but for me it's work because i can use all the publicity i can get for the podcast and my project so yeah i'm thinking like i want to be photographed and i want to be out there so in all honesty 90 of it is work it's it's for and i think for the celebrities too because they're promoting movies right they're promoting promoting their projects and everything the fun starts at the all the after party yeah in my opinion you know for sure we're gonna get there so let's do a little we have to to include that in we have to talk about the fashions you actually mentioned to me for those of you that that really follow Oscar obviously every year the carpet was red this year they decided to change and do a champagne carpet
I didn't understand why because I like the old school glamour and when I went I was there it definitely looked beautiful and you made everybody look better in pictures.
Do you agree?
I agree 100%.
Yeah.
It's funny, but it actually helped, right?
I would say, you know, something about the red, it makes it, I don't know.
I mean,
it's tougher.
I feel like I like the red better, to be honest, or maybe we used to it, you know, but I feel like, yes, definitely the champagne is more like glamorous and more soft.
It will also help, like, you know, so I knew it was going to be champagne.
You you did yeah you did you called it out you know you have all the inside information that's what I love about you I think what you do is incredible because you always know what's going on behind the scenes you know before it happens you have all the sources and and I think that's super cool yeah you did tell me and for me I decided to wear this red dress that that my friend the stylist from Paris made for me and it's red it helped me
because very few people were wearing red some were but very few, and it really grabbed people's attention.
So, I honestly got a ton of compliments.
Yeah, yeah, for sure, especially with the champagne red carpet.
I was just like, I told you, I was like, Well, yeah, the red would be fantastic.
It was, yes, you definitely called it out.
Yeah, so I see, let's talk about maybe one or two dresses.
I thought there was a lot of glamour back this year.
I was really, really impressed.
Like, wow, everybody looks insanely fabulous.
yeah i mean i have to
i have to say guys you know like this honestly i think this year i was very surprised too because i'm not a fan of the fashion at the oscars and because i feel like people i don't they really don't know how to dress in my opinion you know
So,
but this year I was like, oh, wow, you know, I was impressed.
Yeah, I agree.
This year, I thought, like, I don't know if it's because it was COVID is completely done.
I really saw a lot of
old school glamour.
Most dresses, I think 99% of the dresses were gorgeous.
And some of them, when you watch on TV, they don't translate as well as in person, but most of them were incredible.
My favorite, I thought Selma Hayek looked insane.
Her dress wasn't really red.
I don't know if you saw it.
It was so sparkling.
Yeah, it was almost a dark orange, but she looked like the wife of a billionaire, the major movie star that she is.
She looked amazing.
Do you have a favorite?
I would say, like, I loved Lady Gaga dress.
Yes.
It was Versace, by the way.
Versace, you know, it might have not been a perfect dress for her because, like, she's like short.
You know, I feel like if someone was like taller, was wearing that dress, but I still love the dress.
I think it's very chic.
Yeah, very chic.
I also like Cara.
Cara Delavine.
Yeah,
like I don't like poofy dresses at all, but it really looked like a, you know,
it's funny.
Yeah, because remember I wanted to wear a poofy dress because I'm like, okay, I'm going to have my princess day.
I want to have a poofy dress.
And you're like, no,
I don't do it.
And I agree with you.
But I was right next to her when she walked in.
I think I did a little video of her.
And she looked insane.
Yeah, she looked like a princess.
She was in a full-blown dress.
I don't know who made her dress.
Do you?
We have to look.
I don't know.
Yeah, no, I don't.
She was in a full-blown old school like princess style puffy dress red but she looked oh she was in uh else um
elie sab okay yeah very old school gorgeous glamour
and uh one that i did not see on the red carpet but she was a presenter and i mean of course she's stunning because she's crazy tall was nicole kidman yeah of course i think she looked incredible i mean in general
all of them tons and tons of beautiful dresses one that i didn't love and i don't know if you saw her, is speaking of Puffy, it was too much.
And she was one of the
top
actresses right now in the world, Florence Pugh, the British actress that was in that movie, Don't Worry, Darling.
I did not love her look at all.
I think her stylist missed the mark.
I don't know if you agree.
I think you know, I need you guys need to call prevai for
because you do work with top stylists as well in case somebody needs, because honestly, yeah, this is an event that I agree, you need help.
Like me and I think everybody else, like it's very, very tough to pull the look and do everything to look fantastic without help.
Yeah,
I mean, it's equivalent to the Oscars.
I don't think there's any other
glamorous event.
Yeah, I agree.
After Met Gala, I mean, I said, well, Med Gallo first and then Oscars, but you know, so you definitely need to have a, you know, a glam a glam squad, yeah.
And my glam squad, they did an insanely fabulous job.
Like, it was just, you know, tasteful.
Like, it was way too much, you know.
Yeah.
I felt like myself.
I think my makeup was natural, but you know, it made me look good in pictures all night.
And it was a rainy, crappy day.
And I think my hair looked okay.
And I felt really good.
The dress, honestly,
because it had this, we had to tie it on the back.
It was insanely tight.
and it made me a little uncomfortable all night.
But I got tons of compliments, and I love the photo, so it was worth the sacrifice.
For sure.
And if you guys, like, you know, have like kind of like curious about anything about the Oscars, let us know.
Like, you know, if you have any questions, you can send out a question to Kat.
You know, we can tell you about the experience if you ever.
get lucky enough to go to the Oscars,
you know, and we can help you to be prepared because it's important to know, you know, know, and have like some sort of
preparation.
I mean, I have to say, my first experience in Cannes, you know, I had no idea what was going on until a minute before I walked the carpet.
And I wish I had some ideas.
Yeah.
You know, I would be more prepared.
It's intimidating.
Yeah, that's why that's why I decided to do the episode because after people saw that I was there, I've been getting, I haven't even caught up on my messages.
My Instagram has dozens and dozens of messages.
And I want to tell the truth, like, it's a lot of work.
Like you said, you stand in line.
You go.
It's not all glamour.
You're on your feet for many, many, many hours for sure.
And then, like you said, once you're in there, it's a three and a half hour show.
This year it was running late, maybe 20 minutes.
I think not too bad.
But yeah, you're literally sitting on the theater.
As much as it's nice and beautiful and interesting, it's a very long night.
It's a very long night.
Yeah.
And then, okay, so we're sitting there.
I loved the performances.
I thought it was very beautiful.
I thought Jimmy Kimmel did a great job as a presenter.
I was happy.
The music this year, I don't know if you saw Lady Gaga, like you said, she was so glamorous doing the red carpet, wearing versace.
And then when she goes sing the song from the Top Gun movie,
she's stripped down.
She walks in the stage.
wearing jeans, black jeans, a t-shirt, her hair and a ponytail, and like no makeup on.
and I think it was very touching because I think very few artists would have the bulge to do that
yeah yeah I love that about her she's like a really real artist yeah you know and that's
I've never met her in person
but yeah she's very very like yes
raw and like organic and
yeah I love that about her.
She on the red carpet, she was crazy glamorous.
Did you see she turned around to help a photographer that fell?
No, I didn't.
Yeah, so there are a bunch of people taking photos of her and one of the photographers fell.
She literally turned around.
She doesn't give a fuck who's waiting for her and went and said, Are you okay?
And everything.
And then he said, yes.
And then she kept walking.
She's just a class act.
And she sang the Top Gun movie, which is one of my favorite songs in the world.
It's very emotional to me.
It was like a song that I used to listen all the time.
I watched the movie with my ex-boyfriend.
So I was like teary-eyed when she sang.
It was very, very touching.
What did you think about the stage and the whole production?
Do you think they could do better?
Do you think, you know, like I think it looked very beautiful, classy,
not too fluffy.
Like I said, I think it was better than past years.
Sometimes they try to do too much.
I think this year it was more about the talent.
Like Lady Gaga's performance, it was all about her.
Rihanna's performance was really very raw.
Like Lenny Kravitz doing the tributes.
I think it was very touching.
It was all about talent.
I loved it.
And for people that were way up high, like off cars, I was sitting way up there, we could still see everything really, really well.
Yeah, I mean, I think honestly, I've told you this before too.
I think hopefully the academy, you know, change the people they work with for 100 years.
I know.
You know, work with some like.
Yeah,
new generation.
New blood.
New blood, new ideas, you know, and not just
like the Oscars, all the other parties too.
You know,
I really hope so because I just feel like it's the same thing, you know, like, I mean, over and over.
You know, tell us about like the food, the case.
Yeah, so like, okay, so the show ends.
And then again,
the part that nobody shows you on TV.
Oh, yeah.
And by the way, when you're in there, we talked about that.
Like, you know, the TV has like two minutes, two and a half minute commercial breaks.
I think that's the only time we can actually get out of our seat.
Like if you want to go to the bathroom or something, if you want to drink water.
But if you don't come back before the commercial break is over, they don't let you come back until the next commercial break.
So it's almost impossible to get out of there, you know, and do whatever you have to do and come back on in time.
Yeah.
So we wait.
Yeah.
So we did that once on the first break.
And then my friend was like, no, let's stay in here because we don't want to miss out on everything.
So yeah, it's tough taking breaks.
So once it's over, the first party, which like you said, is not really a party because it's right there at the Dolby, the governor's ball, is where everybody, almost everybody stops, like the Oscar winners stop and everything, but it's literally just a quick stop because it takes a long time to get out of your seat and walk and la.
And we were talking about that by then, everybody's starving.
Everybody's starving.
And the governor's ball is catered by famous chef Wolfgang Puck.
If you guys are from LA, like we are, he's the owner of Spago, one of the most famous restaurants in LA.
And he's been catering the Oscars, the governor's ball for a long time.

Charlie Sheen is an icon of decadence.
I lit the fuse and my life turns into everything it wasn't supposed to be.
He's going the distance.
He was the highest paid TV star of all time.
When it started to change, it was quick.
He kept saying, no, no, no, I'm in the hospital now, but next week I'll be ready for the show.
Now, Charlie's sober.
He's going to tell you the truth.
How do I present this with a class?
I think we're past that, Charlie.
We're past that, yeah.
Somebody call action.
AKA Charlie Sheen, only on Netflix, September 10th.
Yeah, you're a big face.
I know he's not your favorite.
Yeah, no, I mean, I work, I actually work with him in a few events in the past.
And, you know, the food is great.
I just think, like, my style is more,
you know,
so maybe they could try something else something else more like i don't know if i write the use word sophisticated i mean in
like the shape you know the you know the food you know maybe
yeah we we talked about it i'm gonna explain to you guys why personally i think if it's a party that people are super chic like we are dressed and you're women were holding clutches and bags and cell phones i think the food should be tiny little finger bites that you can grab with two fingers and eat.
So we get to the governor's, but all I saw was like this huge trays with like cheesecake, like pieces of cheesecake on a plate with a fork.
And I looked.
I know, I know.
And I looked, I was more worried of like taking a picture of Harrison Ford, like almost fainted.
I'm usually not starstruck, but when I saw Harrison Ford in front of me, I wanted to like hug him.
He's so fucking hot.
I don't care how old he is.
So, yeah, but and then I see this tray and I'm like, who the hell?
Like, you're really gonna get the plate and the fork?
And why didn't they make like mini little cheesecake biceps, you know?
Yeah, I agree.
I agree.
Well,
hopefully, you know.
Hello, you guys need to call Private Oregon
next year.
That would be a change.
Yes, because I think we, I definitely agree.
There's room for improvement.
This is very American, by the way, because Americans are not great at catering.
This is more like French European style, like right, little
finger food that can still be classy like even a burger you can cut like a little burger in yeah four tiny little bites you know and make something like that like mini kishes
do you want some coffee
all right no it's okay it's eight o'clock in the morning and like i made her come and she shows up looking fabulous and i didn't even offer you coffee i'm sorry so yeah no i think um
honestly i think like you know these
i mean when you work when you do advance it's everything is up to me it's everything about the details you know you have to really pay attention to all the details yes and kind of you know like review everything you've done at the event and then so you do better next year and and listen these these people are
they've been in the business forever they're they're they're really the best of best i'm not you know but i'm just saying i feel like you can use a little bit more yes
i think change and even if they like i said even if they brought like a consultant to come up with new ideas I agree because, like I said, we see all the glamour on TV, but it doesn't matter what kind of a movie.
I heard a lot of the movie stars saying that, by the way, because when they get to the Dolby, everybody's hungry.
Some people had snacks like there, but everybody's starving after such a long night.
And we are wearing heels and it was cold.
And I, you hear a lot of people literally complain, like, oh my god, I'm so hungry.
Where's the food?
You know, I think downstairs, when the stars are saying they were serving them food, yes, but again it's not like finger food easy to eat yeah you know so some people will eat it and like me i'm not gonna like you know smudge i was holding my clutch in one hand i'm not gonna get a plate of something and a fork and eat so you see a lot more men eating than you see the girls eating you know
So, okay, quick stop at the governor's ball.
Whoever ate cheesecake, la la la.
They do pictures.
There's a ton of press there.
By then, me, Catherine, my feet were killing me because my heels were high as fuck.
They were very comfortable in the beginning of the night.
But after walking around the Adobe Theater for four or five hours, I'm like dying.
And my dress had the stripes over my shoulder.
The right side was literally cutting through my shoulder.
I still have the
like it gave me a bruise.
So I'm being completely honest, I'm very uncomfortable and I have to make believe I am very happy.
So my friends were like, okay, let's go to the Elton Johns party.
Now you're going to help us.
We're going to take a two-minute break, but now let's get to the meaty fun part, the after parties.
I want to ask you, because I know you've been in a bunch of the most exclusive ones, including the Vanity Fair.
Let's talk about them.
Let's talk about, I want to ask you the question.
Is there any chance people get access?
Who gets invited?
Who's on the list?
How is it in there?
And if you know any dirt.
So hold your thoughts.
hold your thoughts we're gonna take a two minute break and we are going to dissect the after parties and hopefully squeeze some dirt out of maj day this is a very fun special gossipy oscar's edition of canon deluze will be right back
okay beautiful people we are back with maj de bahamin the owner ceo of one of the top luxury concierge service companies in the world, Privé LA.
Thank you for being here again.
Thank you for having me.
me.
It's a rainy, crappy is today Tuesday or Wednesday with this LA weather.
I know it's like we're not used to the rain.
I know we're not used to this rain.
So we get like everybody's complaining and we're crazy spoiled.
Yeah, where's our sunshine?
But we're dissecting the Oscars and I really appreciate your help because I was excited to be there and I want to tell people the truth.
It's not all glamour and fabulosity.
It's a lot of pain and suffering and waiting in lines and shit.
Yeah, I mean, a lot of stuff is like stage you know i mean even you were saying like you know where all the when people are getting nominated they knew kind of yes right who is getting nominated yeah based on how where you sit where based on where you see you know so like you know so it's just not everything you guys see it's like
you know right the truth but um it is what it is yeah and of course nothing is nothing is real yeah and it's like in it's like real life it's how it works the more famous you are if you're an oscar nominated of course you're not going to wait in line your limo is going to pull in first i'm talking about like the small fishes such as myself which is most people there because like you said the nominees are maybe a few hundreds and then there's thousands and thousands of people there who are not nominated so yeah okay so we we leave the governor's ball by then you know i'm an early bird i like sleeping early with my dog phoenix i was ready to come home no kidding i did not even want to go to the Elton John Parker.
I'm like, okay, I'm done.
I took my pictures.
I watched the Octans.
I want to go home.
And my friends are like, no, no, no, you got to come.
So, okay, so I tag along to the Elton John gala, which is, I think, the largest, right?
And it's to
raise funds for his AIDS foundation, which is the really nice part about it.
They do like a tent in West Hollywood, right?
Like a temporary tent, for those of you who don't know.
And it's again, it's huge.
There are so many people there.
Yes.
So I walk in there
and
there is this car.
By then, I'm like, my phone had like, I think 7% battery.
I didn't want to take pictures anymore.
Like I said, I'm having like a little bit of a wardrobe malfunction.
One of my shoulders,
the strap of my dress is cutting it.
The other shoulder, like I'm having like this, my nipple is coming on.
So I'm like in a really bad mood.
So I literally didn't stay a long time.
But let's talk talk about,
do you know how they make the guest list?
Like who's in and who's out?
Well, obviously, like, you know, you have to buy tickets.
Oh, so for this party, you have to buy a ticket?
This party is just, it's a charity event.
So you buy tickets to, you know, donate to the funding.
The foundation.
Okay.
So
obviously, you know.
L.
John and you know his partner, David,
have friends, they have their own guest list.
You know, yes, there's some people,
a lot of celebrities, they get invited every year, or you know, so that's different.
Not everybody pays, no, not everybody pays.
You, you know, most people pay.
I mean, I would say like
50-50 to be honest, I have to say, you know, because there was a lot of people I know they went because
we sell the tickets, you know, and they
some they pay some they're on the list you know so so let's say somebody's listening to the podcast whatever in brazil in new york in dubai and they're like huh i want to go next year i have money can they like they call you and say hi majda can you get me and is it something you help them with buying a table or buying tickets absolutely we can get you in to the you know for the because there's a dinner and there's an after party you know so we can definitely get you in
um um and um if you want to attend the dinner obviously it's that the tickets are more expensive and depending you know this is the price of the tickets if especially for the dinner it's depending on whose table you're sitting at you know that's determined of the price who you're sitting next to we know like who is going which table you know everything that is going on in there so you know and then Obviously, if you don't want to attend the dinner, then you go to the, you know, you want to just attend the after-party, that one is fun as well you know so yeah depending on what you're looking for but we can help you i would recommend getting the tickets sooner than later because you know the chances of the price you know rise and also like you get a better
better deal yeah okay yeah so that's interesting information because certain things you can buy you can have access
i personally think that's just my opinion no matter how much money i would have i don't think i would I mean, I would pay to help the charity, but I wouldn't pay, like, I want to be at this party because I don't think, right, you're making this face like you wouldn't either.
But a lot of people do pay crazy money just to have access.
You know, I mean, it's Elton's, it's Elton John's party, yeah.
You know, it's amazing, yes.
And um, yeah, but I feel like, in my opinion, as time passes, it's like the party is like not as
glamorous,
it's not glamorous.
I agree, it's a lot of of people again and it's but i agree it's not glamorous yeah yeah and then i think like i think i try like i i remember who had i had this conversation with i i don't remember at the moment but um someone was complaining to me they were saying they had to they had a power issue the power shutdown this year yeah this year oh i didn't see any before before yeah they wouldn't let people in and they had to wait 45 minutes
like telling me like i pay this much money.
Why do I have to wait?
You know, that's the thing for 45 minutes.
And I'm like, listen, this is logistics, and these things happen in the advanced, especially with the weather and like what's going on, you know.
So,
but
it is what it is, guys.
Now, okay, so that's the out and jump party.
Let's talk about the more exclusive parties that we get.
As I live in Beverly Hills, they set up the Vanity Fair party literally a few blocks from here every year.
It's a huge production.
They start setting it up like two weeks before the Oscars and it's insanely exclusive.
And the entire guest list is made by Vanity Fair.
They don't sell tickets, period, correct?
Correct.
On the record, that's correct.
Yes.
Behind the scenes.
We don't know what's going on.
My opinion is money can buy anything, but let's talk about stuff on the record.
Yes, we don't know we're not gonna talk about this we just gonna yes you have to be invited yes to vanity fair so the ticket it's your again sorry the car it's your ticket oh wow okay so there is a lot yeah because the it's air tight sealed security they close that thing like tighter than a freaking jail i can even imagine because i think every single cop that works in beverly hills they work at the vanity fair party
I always wonder like if somebody wants to rob a house or something, who's gonna like protect the house?
Because every cop in Beverly Hills is around.
Yeah.
So they have private security, they have the Beverly Hills Police Department in force.
They literally seal, it's like the perimeter, right?
The entire block.
So if you are even debating, like, can I squeeze in there and crash the party?
The answer is no.
I wish you guys could see her face now.
I have to say, guys, like, I have.
You're like, maybe.
I have stories I heard, like, people crash Vanity Fair Fair.
Wow.
So, but.
Okay, so it's possible.
It's possible.
I don't know how they did it, but
I heard.
I would not even dare.
I'm not a party crasher, but I would not recommend it showing you.
I would not recommend to mess around with like Oscars and Vanity Fair.
Yeah, so for sure.
And I, you know, so
even the people, you know, whoever was the nominated and they won the Oscars, they literally, that's their tickets.
They come in and they hold, you know, of course.
And then they walk into Van Dyff.
So maybe, yeah, so they are not going to check your name and embarrass you if you're coming from the Oscars holding a loss.
So, yeah, so I mean, it's just one of the most glamorous events.
I mean, the guest is just...
Insane.
And everybody changes dresses between the Oscars and to go to the party.
Everybody makes a pit stop in their hotels or home, la la la, and they they change the car.
Or in the car.
Or in the car.
But most of them like have a stylist somewhere.
Yeah, they change.
Ready to go.
Ready to go.
And yeah, I mean, even with Vanny Vitbear, I mean, I personally think there is, they could do, you know, we talked about it.
Yeah.
Because I think, you were there this year, can we tell people?
I mean.
Guys, you have to go.
to my social media to see her face because she's like the cutest thing in the world but she's this powerful executive but you make like the cutest face
i was there i was very very lucky but i was i was just a you didn't crash by the way i'm gonna put that on record she did not crash the vanity fair party
i cannot tell you guys yeah i i promise i'm not gonna do that i know i have that information but i will hold it secret because i know you trust me and i love you i wish we could spill the beans but i'm not gonna do that to you no no i was there but okay you were there,
legally invited.
Yeah, you were there.
But do you agree?
Okay, so the carpet, na, na, na, the photo, the photograph.
I was invited.
I was the friend of right.
You were with someone.
Yeah, okay.
So you will go in there.
The entrance where the photographers take pictures of everybody, which is what people see in the media, is fabulous.
I think it's claustrophobic in there.
It's packed.
Do you agree?
Again, like we're saying,
yes, I've not this year.
But I think, like, and the weather made it worse, like how they put the
beverages because it's a tent, guys.
It's inside the museum.
What's the name of the place?
Jesus, I live in Verlos and I forgot the name of the place.
I, yeah, it's almost like google it.
Yeah, I'm so embarrassed.
It's the wheelies, la la la.
It's some kind of a museum, but part of it is inside, and then there's like this tent area outside.
Like, if you want to get coffee, if you want to get a beverage, but it gets packed,
Yeah, it's it's yeah, it's really really busy, and uh, but I think it's like a fun, it's like a fun party for sure.
Like, it's just like
you know, when you and they're like
you're you're mingling with the top celebrities in the world, yeah.
Did you get starstruck like when you saw anyone at all?
You don't care, no, I don't care, you know.
And the reason I don't, because I've been around the celebrities for many years, living here and then
my business and doing events.
I was very lucky to do many events or a lot of big celebrities
at the company I was working at.
And yeah, so, and then even when I started my own business, just I was dealing with a lot of like, you know, it's not a big deal.
It's not a big deal for me.
But of course, like, you know, I
was very happy I was there.
That's not what I'm saying.
But I'm just saying like, I'm not like, oh my God, let me take a picture with this person or self-which, yeah, you shouldn't do anyways.
I agree with you.
It's tacky.
Nobody does that.
They don't like it.
No, they don't.
They don't.
They don't.
I agree.
They don't like when people come like, hi, can I do something?
It's not in these events, right?
That is events of our industry.
And I agree with you.
I grew up in this industry as well.
I don't get Starstruck.
I've worked on, I don't even know how many sets, but.
being completely honest, yes, when I saw Harrison Ford, because he's been like one of my top Harrison Ford and Michael Douglas.
When I saw him in front of me, I was like, fuck, he looks really good.
He's 70-something years old and he looks insane.
You know, I just don't understand this.
This is just something I talked to you about before.
Like, people think taking pictures with celebrity is going to make them a celebrity, you know?
And I'm like, no, no, no.
That doesn't work like that.
You know, I know, oh, yeah, I was at the same place.
We're in the same room.
Yes, maybe that helps.
to some extent.
But like, I'm telling you guys, like, I'm telling you, because like I have
dated celebrities i you know did i work with celebrities so you know like they don't like it and we have a lot of friends who are actors so let's put it out there interesting enough for people who are not in this culture in beverly hills you see them sitting in restaurants bars in west hollywood all the time and nobody bothers them because it's their turf so yes if you come from out of town and you go to a restaurant or something and you see a celebrity like yeah don't jump all over them don't go to their table and annoy them because it's like a kind of like a code right a code of secret code that they should be left alone in their own environment they're just like humans just like yes and they need you know especially when they go to disadvantager parties they want to let loose they want to have fun they don't want to be talked you know they just want to be left alone exactly and everybody's drinking yeah most people yeah like you said after a four the ones that want they want to celebrate after a four hour event everybody wants to party and they don't want cameras on their face.
But
after, after, yeah, okay, so let's jump to that.
So, you went to the vanity fair party
and you dance and you mingle, and all the celebrities are there, la la la la la.
And it's more exclusive.
So, on record, there are like even if somebody out there is listening and says, But I'm a millionaire, I want to get in.
Technically,
coprivail.
I mean, you can call me and I can you can see if you can put them on the list, right?
Yes,
if you're someone famous, maybe we can talk to some PR and what we can do.
Okay.
You know, I mean, yeah, guys, there's ways like maybe if you work with a brand or you know someone, yeah, there's ways you can be on the list, you know, but I mean, I'm not a PR.
I love it.
So I like, I guess your motto is nothing is impossible.
Nothing is impossible.
For prevail.
Maybe can be done.
Maybe.
But yeah, I think that's.
That's the fabulosity of your business.
You open doors.
Exactly.
But like, you know, with vanity therapy,
it's just kind of like invitation.
Yeah.
So then for the people that are really on the inside, like you're saying, there's an
after-party by Madonna.
Yes.
which I have to be discreet about.
Yeah.
Who's putting the event, you know, because it's just not Madonna, not at her house.
But it's in a private residence somewhere around here.
And that's for the creme de la creme de la crème de la i would say it's better than the authors honestly you know you have everyone you can imagine from like the
billionaire which i'm not gonna name them but you know to the star you know just
everyone who is everyone it's there um i would say you know and that's like super super private and like
you don't see usually in these events they take your phone they'll take your phone away you know and
you know, because it's just a lot of people to fly, you know, but they didn't this year.
But that is the most exclusive, they only like send the address to the people invited, right on the invitation, on their phone,
you know, and you have to have a pass and you have to take the shuttle.
And
I always said that that's one of the parties, and also the Jay-Z and Beyoncé, they have their party, which is, I think, with, if I'm not mistaken, guys, like with Rock Nation.
And actually, I had it this year at the Chateau Mormon.
So, which, you know, we know the best parties always come
at Chateau Maman.
So,
and yeah, and those parties go to like 7 a.m.
Okay, so by then, okay, so when I left the Elton John party, I was done.
I'm like, thank you so much.
I know you actually were nice enough because you were going to go to the Madonna party and you said to me, stand by, I might get you in.
But I'm a pumpkin.
I think it was like 11.55.
I am back home.
I'm taking my heels off.
I'm taking my Oscar dress off.
I'm like, I'm done because tomorrow is Monday.
I am not a multi-millionaire.
I have to work.
I'm not going to any after-party.
So by the time you sent me the Madonna invitation, I think it was like 2 a.m.
or something, and you were there.
I was sleeping like a baby.
But you made your way to the Madonna party.
Maybe.
Maybe, Kat, maybe.
Let's not talk about.
So you're not going to tell us anything like about how it is in there.
I mean, you know, guys, like, yeah, okay, I mean, yes, I can tell you a little bit.
Obviously, like all the Oscar-nominated, they were there.
I mean, the one actually went in the Oscars, you know.
Um,
Jeff Bezos was there,
you know.
I mean, I don't like to name drop, so anyway.
But just a little.
Like, just like
the privacy.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, but okay, no press because at the Vanity Fair, there is press in the taking pictures.
But after that, that's it.
They don't allow any press anywhere near.
Because all the press are on the other side.
They let a few journalists.
They let very few.
Yeah, even Vanity Fair, they don't.
Yeah.
Area.
But this after party, like zero.
I mean, at Chateau Maman, I feel like the press was like, you know, they're standing, you know, because they know, like, you know, there's always something going on at Chateau.
Maybe they don't know exactly.
They stay on the other side of the street and try to take pictures.
yeah they do
they know they know um they find out about everything
they find out about it they know i mean remember when we um like a couple months ago we were like at i went to the
one of the um top actor uh birthday party
and
It was surprisingly, there was so much press and everyone knew about it.
Yeah.
It was just kind of.
I don't know how it leaks, but it also leaks.
This freaking, i want to interview uh tmzim like how the hell you guys always know even the private parties they find out about everything because they have some yeah you know yeah inside they have moles
and also like you know people
you know get paid and they sell you know
yeah
can you at least tell us was it fun being at the the yeah
yes so that's why you really let loose you're like yeah you really let loose it's really packed it's really busy It's just, I would say, like, yeah, it's, it's, it's nice, you know, but
it's just the party.
Same question.
I know, you, you're like, you're numb.
You don't even care anymore because it's your business.
But the same question: if somebody out there is listening, they're like, man, I want to call this girl.
I want to have access to this party.
You're shaking your head.
No, the Madonna party is like, no, you cannot bring it.
The Madonna party rock me.
No, they're very tight security.
It's just like, you know, obviously if you know the host or if you know a friend of a friend or something of course you can get in nothing is impossible as i said
but no but it seems it gets harder and hard you have tiers of uh of like control like the alt and john you can pay the vanity friends
and it gets to a point that it's like
if you have money you can pay it's not a big deal like it's just not like oh it's like a private invite you can't go you know so um but the rest of the party is just like invite only, and you know, around the Oscar time, not just that night, there is so before the Oscar, yeah, there is so many other, you know, pretty much every brand, like, you know, they have a private party, you know,
and you know, Weisel had a party, like Dior had a party, Armani had a party,
Chanel had a party, Versace had a party, everybody, there were 10 million parties all over town, yeah, and all these like big agencies, CAA, you know, they have a party, So they all have events going on around the Oscar weekend.
And it starts from, if I'm not mistaken, I think it starts from like Wednesday or Tuesday, you know, all the way to like Sunday.
And then during the day, there's brunches, you know, happening at these beautiful hotels in Bebebe Hills.
I personally, you know, my opinion, that happens for Grammys, that happens for other events, I like to be at these events during the day.
I agree.
It's better networking.
You know, like at night, like, yes, you might.
People want to let loose.
They want to let loose.
You might get numbers.
You might meet people.
But people are drunk.
Yes, I agree.
I don't know what they're saying.
You know what I mean?
So now that everything is over.
I got a lot of these questions.
I'm sure you did too because you posted about it a little bit.
If somebody out there is interested, yeah, I want to come.
I want to be in Beverly Hills.
I want to reserve a nice hotel.
It's not too soon to start planning for next year, right?
You should plan ahead, correct?
Plan now.
Yeah.
Plan now for next year.
You should plan for next year.
You should, like, if you really want to come down to LA, you know, you should start booking your flights, booking your hotel, booking your private jet,
and you know,
book everything, and we can get you, you know, ready to go for these events.
Unfortunately, again, with some of these parties, again,
you cannot buy access.
You have to be invited.
Yeah.
I love it.
I hope that
I am going to be invited again.
I want to thank my friends that took me.
It was a fantastic experience.
It was really fun being all glammed up by your team.
And it was just a really, really fun experience.
But most of all, I have to say, the most important thing to talk about before I let you go.
At the end, it's not even the dresses and the fashion, it's the incredible messages that some of the winners send.
Michelle Yeo won the Oscar for Best Actress.
She's 60 years old.
She looks incredible.
And I am never going to forget.
I was like, I was crying, of course, because I'm very emotional.
I cry about everything when she said, ladies, don't let anybody ever tell you you're past your prime.
I thought that was a phenomenal message because years ago in Hollywood, everybody thought, oh, once I turn 30, it's over.
And it's not like that anymore.
Right?
It was much more inclusive.
I mean, you know, in Hollywood, you know, I feel like after you like turn 25, they say, like, you're, you know, just based on
our famous actor, you know,
we all know, who just doesn't date anyone if they pass 25 years old.
Yeah, whatever.
You know,
they think, you know, it's over.
And it's really difficult because, you know, there's so much pressure.
There's so much.
We have so many beautiful people in
this town.
And it's like, it's really, it's a lot of pressure.
And it's like you know but you know there's there's so many times like i mean i want to give up you know being on top is really hard it is i don't want to like yeah you know get up and
do things or you know it's tough it's tough you know so we're very real we're here to like talk about our struggles not everything is glamorous not everything it's like you can see even guys with these these actresses or actors they have a lot of
you know things they're going through, and it's not what you guys see.
They think, oh, they have this perfect life, right?
You know, no one we see the end result, like the Oscars are the end result, but a lot of work is put into everything.
But I do think it's an amazing message that we see Jamie Lynn Curtis winning for best supporting actress, she's in her 60s, Michelle Yeo winning best actress in her 60s, and a lot of uh foreigners winning uh all kinds of awards, it's being a lot more inclusive.
And the message is: it's never too late to do what you love.
It's never too late to start over.
It's never too late to follow your passion, but you just got to put a lot of work into it and go for it.
Yeah.
Right?
Go for it, but not in terms of
don't go for things you want to do in terms of
other people's cost, you know.
Oh, no, yeah, one million percent.
See to yourself, you know, and
you know, don't follow the crowd and don't like because do it for you they would do it for you yeah one million percent thank you so much for so much insightful interesting information if you guys want to know more about prevale
the instagram is underscore prevale and the website is prevalent right yes
and you guys can reach out to major and ask questions and if you feel you want to anything by the way now you did the oscars now next you go to con
right right?
Yes, the film festival in May.
You take care of everything.
Yes, we're having, yeah, there's never stopping events, guys.
Coachella coming up.
Oh, yeah, Coachella is coming up.
You know, Formula One and Monaco is coming up.
So, yeah.
And I hope you come back because it's really interesting to give this inside scoop to my listeners because I don't have as much information as you do.
And I think that's super cool.
Thank you so much.
You're amazing.
And you guys stay safe out there.
And I will see you really, really soon.
I have an insanely special guest coming up next week.
I've been trying to get her on the show forever.
I'm trying to get inspiring women.
Her name is Diana Mo.
She's a personal trainer for a ton of stars.
But again, her message is of body positivity.
It's not about being skinny, scrowny.
It's not about starving.
It's about loving your body and loving yourself.
And she's going to be here next week to talk to us about all of that, how you you can get in fantastic shape for summer, but without suffering.
Actually, enjoying yourself.
Diana Mo coming on Catamaluz next week.
Thank you again, Monje.
You're the best.
You're amazing.
Love you.
Thank you so much.
And I'll see you guys.
Talk to you, everybody, very soon.
Be safe out there.
Love you.
