Speaker 1 Really fun dating show called Wingman of the Ear. And it's so organic.
It's so fun. Some of his videos on social media are getting millions of views.
You guys got to check it out.

Speaker 1 So when he approached me to be on Cat on the Lose, I was like, absolutely. I got to talk to this guy because what he's doing seems so fun and so different.
And he started it very naturally.

Speaker 1 Like he explains it, to drink beer and have fun with his friends and he's growing a very very solid fan base but i figured this was not the episode that we could sit down at a studio and just talk i needed to be out and about and just do it very organically because that's the style of his work and that's the style of canon the luz so i was in new york for a business trip and he lives in Albany.

Speaker 1 So he took the train down to Manhattan and we shot the entire episode organically walking around the streets of Manhattan with no planning, zero script. And I didn't edit our conversation at all.

Speaker 1 So I hope you guys really enjoyed this very fun conversation with the super nice, super talented, and extremely good-looking hunter.

Speaker 1 host of wingmen of the year yes girls he's super good looking he's taken but he's very good looking so major eye candy you're welcome and don't forget to go look at the video episode on my youtube channel cat on the loose Podcast, and on all my social media platforms, if you just want to see little chunks of it, because it's a really, really, really fun 100% organic episode on the streets of Manhattan.

Speaker 1 And today's episode with Hunter on the streets of Manhattan was made possible thanks to a fantastic clinic in New York City called New York City Wellness.

Speaker 1 The best doctors, one-on-one specialized care for physical therapy, chiropractic services, wellness, histatic services, and beyond. They welcomed me.
They were my hosts.

Speaker 1 They put me in a fantastic hotel. They took such amazing care of me.
So I was able to do this really, really fun episode with Hunter. And the doctors there, I met all of them.

Speaker 1 They're truly, truly the nicest people, the nicest doctors. They have fantastic locations in New York City, City, midtown on 295 Madison Avenue.
The phone number is 212-682-2750.

Speaker 1 And downtown on Greenwich Street near the Freedom Tower, the phone number is 212-374-0150. Check out their website, nyc-wellness.com and on Instagram, NYC Wellness.

Speaker 4 So for all

Speaker 1 your needs from first care service, urgent care, all the way to like Botox.

Speaker 1 If you need Botox for migraines, if you need physical therapy after surgery, the best acupuncturists, anything you need, they take incredible, incredible care of you.

Speaker 1 So I highly recommend if you're in the New York area, check these guys out. And thank you so much again for having me.

Speaker 1 Second, huge shout out to a Los Angeles local company that is so supportive of Cat on the Loose, Gold Standard Builders, a design and construction company, licensed general contractor, family-owned business, a team of very passionate professionals delivering great service with fantastic quality and the most important, very fair pricing.

Speaker 1 They pay great attention to every detail to ensure all your projects will meet your expectations.

Speaker 1 So if you've been thinking about remodeling a kitchen, a bathroom, redoing your backyard for summer, now that summer is coming, or if your house had any damage because of the torrential rains we had in LA, these are the guys you can trust.

Speaker 1 The owner, Adam, could not be nicer. And this is why their clients keep going back to them: goldstandardbuilders.com.
And I'm going to give you the phone number: 1-800-469-9189 on Instagram.

Speaker 1 Also, Gold Standard Builders, go there, check it out, see the beautiful photos of everything they do.

Speaker 1 They're super, super reliable and incredibly fair on the pricing, which is super important to most of us.

Speaker 5 On this rainy Thursday in Manhattan, we are winging with the wingman. Hi, Hunter.

Speaker 4 I like that. Hey, thank you.

Speaker 5 So, before welcome to Caron Deluze. So, before we start,

Speaker 5 we're gonna explore this neighborhood that I've never been in, Chelsea. Me either.

Speaker 5 By the way, girls, you're welcome because, other than being super nice and fun, we're gonna talk about your work, your major eye candy.

Speaker 4 Oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 so I know the girls are gonna for me already I know so I know the girls are gonna send me 10 million messages like who is he where did you find this guy what's going on

Speaker 4 I'm gonna be out of out of a job as a wingman if you peep this up

Speaker 5 so explain to me because

Speaker 5 Everybody wants to know what you do. What is the wingman and how did you come up with this idea?

Speaker 4 Yeah, so pretty much

Speaker 4 I'm the wingman of the year.

Speaker 4 My company, it's a digital media company. We make a lot of content.
It's a lot of dating show content. Yeah.

Speaker 4 And,

Speaker 4 yeah, we also.

Speaker 5 Let me put the umbrella away.

Speaker 4 Hold on, because it stopped raining. Thank God.

Speaker 4 A little bit, right? It stopped raining.

Speaker 4 Okay. So, oh, wow, look, Google has a star.

Speaker 5 Oh, no, it's simple.

Speaker 4 Curiosity killed the character.

Speaker 5 Because New York is so different from L.A.

Speaker 4 Definitely is. Yeah.
All right.

Speaker 4 So I host dating shows. I also nominate people.

Speaker 5 When you say you host dating shows,

Speaker 5 what does it mean?

Speaker 4 Explain.

Speaker 5 Explain from the get from scratch.

Speaker 4 Okay, so Wingman of the Year, it's a brand. Think of it as a network, and there's multiple dating shows underneath it.
Okay. We have Wingman of the Year Live, which is our flagship show.
Okay.

Speaker 4 And that's literally a live, interactive dating show. Okay.
And we've got a live audience. And here's the catch.
All the contestants on it,

Speaker 4 they have a wingman. So

Speaker 4 before the contestants come out, the wingman's pitching them. So it could be your best friend, could be your mom, could be whoever.

Speaker 5 So let's say if you're the contestant, your best friend... Oh, wait, stop.
Should we go in here? Because we don't have this in LA. Look, Starbucks Reserve Roastery.

Speaker 5 There's like really interesting places in New York.

Speaker 4 There's endless places. That's the thing.
What do you think?

Speaker 5 Yeah, should we grab a coffee here?

Speaker 4 Yeah, watch Chelsea Market.

Speaker 5 I know.

Speaker 5 Oh, look, I told you, I knew. Look, Google Store.

Speaker 5 New York is very interesting in that way. Like, there's a lot of other than the traffic that is like, seriously, New York is no offense to you.

Speaker 5 I don't know how you guys live with the stress of the traffic here, right?

Speaker 4 I thought the LA traffic is worse from what I've heard.

Speaker 4 No.

Speaker 4 Let's grab a coffee and continue explaining.

Speaker 5 If I learn how to open this door,

Speaker 4 you need your wing, man.

Speaker 5 So it's a contest. So let's say you're the contestant, your friend would come.

Speaker 4 Wow, look how pretty.

Speaker 5 Free sponsorship. Starbucks is sponsoring this podcast.

Speaker 4 Should we go up there?

Speaker 5 They're getting free marketing for hundreds of thousands of people right now.

Speaker 4 Not that they need it.

Speaker 4 Oh, wow.

Speaker 4 So pretty.

Speaker 5 It smells so good here.

Speaker 5 Okay, and where do you do this contests?

Speaker 4 So the shows, the live shows, they can be anywhere. We usually do them at comedy clubs and

Speaker 4 whatnot. So

Speaker 4 we've only done a handful so far. We're looking to our next one, Hint Hint.
This is an exclusive. We might actually have Miss New England on a show in June.

Speaker 4 So she's going to be our bachelorette and we're going to try to wing Miss New England. Miss New England.
Miss New England. It's not official yet.
Is she pretty? She's very pretty.

Speaker 4 That's how she got Miss New England.

Speaker 4 No offense, yeah. Sometimes the misses are not that great.

Speaker 4 Careful with the stairs, Sarah.

Speaker 5 Oh, wow.

Speaker 5 I want to see that place.

Speaker 4 You want to go up here?

Speaker 5 It's so pretty here, right?

Speaker 4 I'm starting to really get the concept of cat on the loose. I like it.

Speaker 5 It's literally on the loose.

Speaker 4 I know, I'm telling you.

Speaker 5 It's literally on the loose.

Speaker 5 I told you, this is what it means to be organic. We don't script and you have no idea what's going on, right?

Speaker 4 You don't know where you're going to end up.

Speaker 5 And you told me you were game for that.

Speaker 4 I'm just following you around.

Speaker 5 But that's your style as well.

Speaker 4 Yeah, it sure is. It sure is.

Speaker 4 Yeah, so we can really do the shows anywhere. We do a lot of other shows that are in studio shows as well.

Speaker 5 Oh, so you go to the studio, so tell us about like your show in the studio. What do you do in the studio?

Speaker 4 So we got a show called Hot Date.

Speaker 4 It's kind of like a parody of hot ones, but instead of interviewing famous people, me as the wingman, as the host, I put them on a blind date give them extremely hot chicken wings burn their mouths off and have them answer questions they wouldn't wouldn't want to answer on the first date that doesn't sound like fun we got spice dating up and i'm quite literally spicing it up oh my gosh you want to go on it if you did if you did that to me that would be the end of me i would die i cannot

Speaker 4 it's certain it's certainly not forever

Speaker 4 but no i think but like the thing with my dating shows though i actually think they work though because these people are both suffering. Or they're going through an uncomfortable...

Speaker 5 Even Karen behind the camera is laughing.

Speaker 4 That's good stuff. That's good concept.
It's so romantic.

Speaker 4 No, I think that making them bond, though, is that you're not. But let me tell you something.

Speaker 5 Girls, when we are dating, we don't want to be suffering. We want to look cute, you know, and have our lipstick all like, you know, and minty bread.
You know, you don't.

Speaker 5 We don't want to be like with our mouth like,

Speaker 4 these shows, especially the hot date date show, it evens the playing field. You're both going through a similar experience.
You're nervous to be on a first date.

Speaker 4 People are nervous for first dates in general, right? I'm different. No, I'm different.
You're built different. I'm built different.
You're built different.

Speaker 5 I actually think it's funny when the guy is very nervous. It turns me off.

Speaker 4 Turns you off? Yes.

Speaker 5 I only like the guy if he's not nervous.

Speaker 4 Girls like confidence. That's what we're told growing up.

Speaker 5 If the guy is like freaking out and too nervous, I'm like, next.

Speaker 4 Next. Next.
I don't know. Well, maybe hot dates not for you, but...

Speaker 4 We've had some success.

Speaker 5 I want to see the videos. Should we get...
Okay, we're not going to get coffee. We just had coffee at the storehouse.

Speaker 4 I just wanted to see this place. It's really cool, right? Yeah.
You're welcome, Starbucks. Are we going back on the coffee? Yeah, let's go back to

Speaker 4 the next one.

Speaker 5 We're exploring this area in New York that I've never seen.

Speaker 4 This is pretty cool, right? I like it.

Speaker 5 You've never been here either, right, Hunter?

Speaker 4 No, and I live in upstate New York, but I've never... I've only been to like Yankees games.

Speaker 5 Yankees games.

Speaker 4 Starbucks reserved roastery. That's really cool.
Why don't you guys do one of these?

Speaker 4 You can do it out here.

Speaker 4 The pizza right here.

Speaker 4 You want it to or you want to keep walking?

Speaker 4 She likes it.

Speaker 5 Let's take advantage of the fact that the rain is giving us a break, right?

Speaker 5 I always heard about this neighborhood, Chelsea, but I've never been here. I usually stay in upstate upstate.

Speaker 4 You're from upstate now. Upraised side.
Watch out for that car to your left. I know.

Speaker 5 Yesterday I almost got hit a bunch of times walking around New York and Karen's like grabbing mine because I don't know how to cross this.

Speaker 4 The camera person's got the hardest job today. I know.

Speaker 4 Walking and trying to see where she's going. I know.
I don't know how she's going to do that. We're getting the full experience.

Speaker 5 And I know. I had no idea that Google had storms.

Speaker 5 So that's interesting. So how did you come up with this idea to do this wingman situation?

Speaker 4 Oh man, that is a long story. That's usually the go-to question.

Speaker 5 Can you give us the short version?

Speaker 4 Yeah, yeah. So I started making content four years ago.
I really just wanted to make a brand.

Speaker 4 Pretty much just knew I wanted to be a content creator. I wanted to start a company where I could hang out with my friends and drink beer.
Sounds very immature. But anyway, it's working.

Speaker 4 And the main pillar of Wingman of the Year is to be a wingman. And being a wingman means to be a good person.
Yeah. And to be a good friend, more importantly.

Speaker 4 So being a wingman doesn't have to be dating.

Speaker 4 You know, it could be like holding an umbrella or opening the door for you. You know what I mean? So stuff like that.
But it was built on the pillars of friendship.

Speaker 4 And my friend in high school, I hooked him up with a girl, 11th grade at a party.

Speaker 4 The cops busted the party. He hooked up with a girl in a field

Speaker 4 after. They ran out the back.
Monday in school, he calls me the wingman of the year.

Speaker 4 Years later, I start the company. And now every year we announce the winged man of the year.
I love it. And now we're doing these dating shows.
So it's evolved over four years.

Speaker 5 It's really growing. And some of your videos, I saw one of your videos on Instagram.
You got like 7 million views.

Speaker 4 Yeah, that's I do a lot of videos.

Speaker 5 It really went viral.

Speaker 4 Hit and hint, this is another exclusive. We'll announce it in two to three weeks.
That guy in that video is going to unanimously be the winged man of the year.

Speaker 5 I mean, he deserves that honor.

Speaker 4 He's awesome. So I actually did that show hot date with him.
So I just did a one-on-one with him. Uh-huh.
Guys, he was saying how he liked chicken wings when I asked him if he was a wingman. And

Speaker 4 I got him his chicken wings. I don't know if he liked them though.
But it was funny as hell.

Speaker 4 I love that.

Speaker 5 Now, let me ask you.

Speaker 5 You guys are young. You're very young.
You and your friends.

Speaker 5 Do you think these dudes that you're, you know, on these dating shows,

Speaker 5 are they actually interested in being in relationships or at this age in your early 30s are you just interested in and please try to be as honest as you can if you can yeah are you just interested in meeting cute girls and you know at this point in your lives just having fun my contestants are me

Speaker 4 your contestants so they're all different ages but yes they're usually like in the mid-20s range yeah pushing 30 and whatnot i think some of them are i think some of them still have to figure figure out their dating goals, but dating is an absolute mess right now.

Speaker 4 Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4 It's a shit show. I was guesting on another podcast the other day.
They dropped a fact on me.

Speaker 4 It's getting close to 50% of like, I think the American population is single. It's like 46% right now.
Oh, really? And it used to be like 20%

Speaker 4 way back when, before social media. So it's, there's no better time to be a wingman than now.
So people,

Speaker 4 you know, they need help. Dating's awful

Speaker 4 right now. It is.
And the problem is probably social media. There's too many options.

Speaker 5 Dating apps.

Speaker 4 Yeah, there's too many options. And it's too many.
If you get in a fight with somebody, you get an argument with like the person you're dating. This is why their situation shifts.

Speaker 4 Yeah, they're like, okay, bye, I'm going to go for somebody else. This guy, he's been in my DMs.
They're like, hey, this girl treat me better. And it's on everybody.

Speaker 4 So it's a huge problem, and nobody sticks it out anymore.

Speaker 4 Yeah.

Speaker 5 That is super true.

Speaker 4 Yeah.

Speaker 5 And I think I always say that on the podcast.

Speaker 5 I think dating apps, of course the good side is it gives you like an opportunity to meet people that you would never cross paths with otherwise, but also it created this

Speaker 5 culture

Speaker 5 that people just order each other like DoorDash, like food, you know?

Speaker 5 Yes, no, yes, no, yes, no. And you see mature men just like, you know,

Speaker 4 acting like daddy. There's too many options.
yeah, there's too many options. It comes down to that, for sure.
It's an absolute problem, um, but that's why I think some of my dating shows

Speaker 4 help with that, it takes them outside their comfort zone. Like I was saying back at uh Starbucks, there

Speaker 4 that bond of like, hey, we're going through this same situation, we're a little bit, because I think growth happens when you're uncomfortable.

Speaker 5 Do you agree? One million percent, okay.

Speaker 4 So

Speaker 4 I think my show does that, and you're like, whoa, we have this common bond, and like it is almost romantic, but maybe not the chicken wing part. We have other dating shows.

Speaker 4 Yeah, the chicken wing is not romantic at all. I would not want to do that.

Speaker 5 Like, if I was crushing on a guy, I would not want to eat chicken wings in front of that guy.

Speaker 4 Well, that's that's how I get the people on the show. I give them free beer, chicken wings, and some sponsored merch.
Oh my god, that is gotta get them on somehow.

Speaker 5 Would you want to eat chicken wings in front of a guy you had a crush on, Karen?

Speaker 4 Hell no. Hell no, see?

Speaker 5 You don't want to have stuff like dirty teeth in front of a guy. No, no.

Speaker 4 It's working. Like I said, there's other shows, the live show I do, that's more like the prom.
Like that's where everybody gets dressed up, everybody gets a walkout song. Yeah.

Speaker 4 And it's like, it's like an adult prom. It's like everybody gets to be the star that night.

Speaker 5 How about you? Let's talk about your dating life for a minute because I know my DM is going to like be bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing.

Speaker 5 I know all my girlfriends in LA and girls all over the world, they're going to be be like, how are you dating? Are you in a situationship? Are you available?

Speaker 4 Oh, is that the question? Yeah, that's the question. So I'm dating someone right now pretty exclusively.

Speaker 4 I don't, you know, it's tough to put what a word on a situationship is. We're definitely not boyfriend or girlfriend.
Probably pretty close to you. You're exclusive.

Speaker 4 Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 Doesn't that make you a boyfriend?

Speaker 4 She's younger than me. I don't get girls nowadays.

Speaker 4 Especially the younger ones.

Speaker 5 But doesn't that make make you, if you said you're exclusive, doesn't that make you boyfriend-girlfriend?

Speaker 4 No, not in this world, no. Really? Yeah, you don't know that?

Speaker 5 What makes you boyfriend-girlfriend?

Speaker 4 Yeah, I don't know. You have to say it.
So, when you say the boyfriend-girlfriend thing, there's exclusive and then boyfriend and girlfriend. There's uh, there's a lot more responsibilities.

Speaker 4 So, people could be like, Hey, we're just you know, screwing each other or whatever.

Speaker 4 When you do that boyfriend-girlfriend thing, it's like, hey, you got to meet my parents, you got to get me a birthday present.

Speaker 4 And I think people are scared of that commitment because there's so many options out there.

Speaker 5 Oh my God, that's a new one on me. So what does the exclusive part entails? I'm exclusive, but I don't have to do what, meet your parents?

Speaker 4 It's different for everybody.

Speaker 5 Oh, really?

Speaker 4 Yeah, I mean...

Speaker 5 So why don't you, you don't want to be her boyfriend or who decides?

Speaker 4 I wouldn't say it's on me. I think I'm a little older and a little more mature.

Speaker 5 When you say she's younger, what does that mean? Like, how much younger?

Speaker 4 How old do you think she is based off what I'm saying? Let's play a game. 18.

Speaker 4 No, my God. No, that's like, that should be illegal.
Under 21 should be illegal.

Speaker 4 No, she's 23.

Speaker 5 Okay, that's not too young.

Speaker 4 I'm 29 for reference, people.

Speaker 5 Okay, okay, that's, okay, that's...

Speaker 5 And she's how old?

Speaker 4 23. Okay, that's not bad.

Speaker 5 You're 29, she's 23. I think that's...

Speaker 4 Right? Yeah. That's good.
I think it works. Yeah, I think it works.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 Some people might find it creepy. I don't think it is.
I don't know.

Speaker 5 She's over 21.

Speaker 4 Graduated college. Yeah.
Okay.

Speaker 5 I don't see anything wrong with that. Have you met her parents?

Speaker 4 I have. I met her mom.

Speaker 5 Oh, does her mom like you?

Speaker 4 She loves me. Oh, there you go.
Every mom I've ever met her. You're a boyfriend.

Speaker 5 Okay, I think you're a boyfriend.

Speaker 4 You want to tell her that? I think you're right. Do you want to call her live on the podcast? Yes, let's call her.
What's her name?

Speaker 4 I think she's working right now.

Speaker 5 She's going to want...

Speaker 4 What does she do? She's a teacher. elementary school teacher.

Speaker 5 Wow, she's very wholesome. What's her name? Sydney.
Sydney, if you're watching this podcast, you have a boyfriend.

Speaker 4 You have a boyfriend.

Speaker 4 That's funny. You're wingman informing.
The wingman. For all the girls in L.A.
and her.

Speaker 5 Okay, and head on the lose audience. He's taken.

Speaker 5 At least for now, he's taken. So don't even send me DMs because I cannot help you.

Speaker 4 That's funny. Do you have any single available

Speaker 5 friends?

Speaker 4 I do. I don't know if I'd recommend all of them.
No. Especially to your LA audience.
I don't know if they're their cup of tea, the upstate New Yorkers. So let's talk about that for a minute.

Speaker 5 I hear this all the time. Let's see if we have the same opinion.
Oh, I like that we change cars because this is a little more peaceful. New York is a very noisy city, guys.

Speaker 5 I mean, obviously I'm an LA girl and I love New York, but New York is a very, very noisy city.

Speaker 5 I don't know how people live here here all the time.

Speaker 4 Over here is quiet, though.

Speaker 5 It's exactly. This is very peaceful.
Looks like a, look, looks like the street that Carrie from Sex in the City lived in.

Speaker 5 Right? Like one of these little brown like

Speaker 5 a little stair. Like her apartment had like a little

Speaker 4 stairway like this.

Speaker 4 I like it.

Speaker 4 I never watched Sex in the City, but.

Speaker 5 Are you serious?

Speaker 4 You think I would? Oh my god.

Speaker 5 Yeah.

Speaker 5 You should.

Speaker 5 It's an icon. You have a dating show.

Speaker 4 You need to go.

Speaker 5 I think I watched every episode 10 billion times.

Speaker 4 All right. I need to get more culture.
Yeah, because it's a part of your job now.

Speaker 5 But anyways, this is what I wanted to tell you.

Speaker 5 I hear it from girls all the time. Like, for example, LA girls, the single girls, they say, oh, it's so hard dating in LA.

Speaker 5 Then New York girls, such as Karen, she's like, oh, it's so, I wish everybody could see her face behind the care. She's so cute.

Speaker 5 then new york girls that are single they're like oh it's so hard dating in new york and then miami girls they and everybody's complaints about the geography if they don't find the right person right i personally think dating has nothing to do with geography because i think

Speaker 5 there are good people and bad people anywhere you know

Speaker 5 and uh I interviewed this really, really, really successful dating coach from Europe. This woman kicks ass.
She's phenomenal. And she used this analogy that I absolutely loved.

Speaker 5 I'm never going to forget that for the rest of my life. She said, like, when you go to a market to buy food,

Speaker 5 you don't go to the market and you're like, oh, let me try to find the rotten peaches. Where are the rotten fruit?

Speaker 4 Okay, that's a good analogy.

Speaker 5 Yeah, you go and you're like, oh, I want to find the shiny mangoes, the shiny bananas. And it's the same thing with dating.
You don't try to find like the shitty people.

Speaker 5 But all these girls complain and they think it's like regarding the place where they live. So, my question to you is:

Speaker 5 you do dating shows in New York. Yeah.
Do you think geography has something to do when it comes to dating? Like, for example, do you think, do you see the guys in New York are like more as players?

Speaker 5 Do you think that plays a part when it comes to dating, or you don't see that at all?

Speaker 4 I can only speak on my experience, and I will always speak from only my experience.

Speaker 4 from my dating life I have seen New York girls maybe not New York City in particular

Speaker 4 are actually like harder to like impress or obtain so like when I was in the Navy and whatnot and I was out in New Hampshire and like Boston and whatnot

Speaker 4 way easier I don't know if the guys are shorter in Boston and that's why I was doing better but uh

Speaker 4 I think there might be a little bit to the geography. And

Speaker 4 really?

Speaker 4 I don't know. I don't have studies on it, but there's something to it.
I think New York girls are tough.

Speaker 5 New York girls are tough. New York girls are tough.

Speaker 4 Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's very.
I mean, like, it goes back to the thing. There's so many freaking options.
Have you ever been to a restaurant where there's too many options on the menu? Yeah.

Speaker 4 And you're like, I don't know what to get. It all looks good.
You know? But these girls had all these bad dating experiences and they're like. This all looks bad.
I don't want to. Yeah.

Speaker 4 I'm scared to try it. So this is where you need a wingman.

Speaker 1 You need referrals and stuff like that right i love if if they can get through your friends they're probably good for you right to do like maybe to filter all the options the countdown is on holiday shopping season is officially here uncommon goods takes the stress out of gifting with thousands of unique high quality finds you won't see anywhere else.

Speaker 4 Yeah, it makes sense.

Speaker 5 I'll be your wing girl and you'll be my wing girl.

Speaker 4 Maybe you should should start. You have the winged man.

Speaker 5 Maybe you should start the winged girl.

Speaker 4 Well, we actually have the Instagram parked for wing woman of the year. Uh-huh.
So I've already thought ahead of that. But as we're growing, I think

Speaker 4 you'll see the winged woman eventually someday hosting some dating shows. Oh, let me know.

Speaker 5 I want to participate.

Speaker 4 Let's go. We won't get you on hot date, though, with the chicken wings.

Speaker 5 No, please, can you come up with something that makes us look really cute on camera?

Speaker 4 Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 Like, we could eat strawberries and chocolate.

Speaker 4 I got a ton of ideas.

Speaker 4 We'll make something happen.

Speaker 5 I think we turned the wrong way because we're trying to go to like this really pretty art gallery that I want to show you, but I think we turned the wrong way.

Speaker 4 You know exactly where it is?

Speaker 4 I have no idea. I think Karen knows.

Speaker 5 We're winging it. We're winging it.
And by the way, you're doing a great job winging it with me.

Speaker 4 That's what I do. I love it.

Speaker 5 You're my type of guest.

Speaker 4 People watching at home are getting the full cat on the loose experience.

Speaker 5 They're getting the full cat on the loose experience because

Speaker 5 this is what I,

Speaker 5 when you said you wanted to do my podcast and we talked about doing it via Zoom, right?

Speaker 5 Because I'm in LA and you are here and I knew I was going to come to New York. I immediately thought we have to do this together because that's the style of your work

Speaker 5 and it's the style of my work and it's so much more fun, right?

Speaker 4 No, yeah.

Speaker 4 You know, I'm a firm believer in like everything happens for a reason. When you had to reschedule, and it's like, oh, you were coming to New York the next week.
I'm like, this works.

Speaker 4 Like, this was supposed to happen the way it was supposed to happen. Totally.

Speaker 5 And I always, I mean, Zoom for me is the last resort because I think there's nothing like the real interaction.

Speaker 4 Yeah, you miss a lot of those like human, like, social cues and body language. They say that's 90% of communicating.

Speaker 5 Yeah, no, totally. And you know, honestly, podcasting right now is obviously a huge fever.

Speaker 5 There is over four and a half, I think, million active podcasts in the world.

Speaker 5 I am very proudly on the top 0.5%

Speaker 5 on global ranking. But I have to say, no disrespect, of course, to any podcaster in the world.
But I like taking it out of the studio

Speaker 5 because I like doing something more personal. And I like showing more like the experience of my guests, you know? Yeah, absolutely.
Like your personality. I don't want to just people hear your voice.

Speaker 5 Like now if they, oh, who is this Hunter guy? Yeah. Why is this handsome? Look how tall he is.
He's very tall.

Speaker 4 It's like more like a reality

Speaker 4 podcast. I don't know if that's a thing.

Speaker 5 Well, yeah. It is a theology.

Speaker 4 It's a thing now.

Speaker 4 That's what you mean by organic when you say it's an organic podcast.

Speaker 5 And we don't add it and we don't script. We have no idea how it's going to happen.

Speaker 5 We just wing it.

Speaker 4 We're winging it. We got a golden retriever up here.
And we got it. Oh, we gotta get that on.

Speaker 4 He's so happy. It's so precious, baby.

Speaker 5 I miss mom.

Speaker 4 I think he smiled at you.

Speaker 5 I miss my baby. Of course.

Speaker 5 I'm a dog mom.

Speaker 4 I have two babies.

Speaker 4 There you go. Tomorrow I go.
Dogs are some of the best wingmen. Oh my god.
How many guys listening at home? Get a dog. That should help.
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 5 I have two.

Speaker 5 And it's so true. Like when I'm walking my babies,

Speaker 5 guys, like when I'm walking alone, it's funny. funny that's a good question for you

Speaker 5 like guys I have this theory that most men are very shy approaching women oh yeah they're scared of rejection right yes it's part of the game though so shy so shy approaching women oh look what a cute diner that's so cute that is awesome like in Beverly Hills they will look at you like we go we get all dressed up and stuff go to happy hour They will look at you and flirt with you the whole night,

Speaker 5 but they don't come and talk to you they will like wing-wing you know like teenagers but they don't come ever like if I walk alone on the street never ever ever a guy will come and talk to me but if I'm walking my dogs yep there is always a guy that comes and says something to me okay like because they're not embarrassed you know oh what a cute dog No, it makes it, I think this goes back to the option thing.

Speaker 4 And then these guys, the girls are maybe a little more picky. And now the guys

Speaker 4 are scared to approach the girls and I have this theory I don't think it's a theory it might be a fact I might be off a percentage or two 10% of the guys are dating 90% of the women 10% of the guys are dating 90% think about it think about it girls want the top of the top right girls have to pick yeah guys don't choose the girls usually right yeah but that 10% of the guys the top echelon of guys is dating 90% of the girls and then the other guys this is why you get incels and whatnot are mad at women because they're not getting any.

Speaker 5 You think that much?

Speaker 4 Huh?

Speaker 5 You think them that much?

Speaker 4 Maybe it's 20, 80, but

Speaker 4 think about it. What do girls usually complain about? Guys like being like players or whatever, right? Yeah.
They're like a player or they're like awful to date. They're either a player or a loser.

Speaker 4 Right. So that 20% is probably the player because

Speaker 4 It's usually the women that have the options because they have to choose. You don't see a lot of guys with options.
And if they do, they're doing something right.

Speaker 5 That's a very good point. And what do guys complain about? That the women are users, like that the women want something from them, right?

Speaker 4 But I think

Speaker 4 I've actively been saying this. I think men are the problem in dating, but it's because they're scared of rejection.

Speaker 4 I think dating is marketing, whether you're a guy or a girl. You need to market yourself.
Yeah, I agree. So, like, we're swiping on these dating apps, right?

Speaker 4 How the hell are you supposed to stand out to somebody? Like, so a girl gets like 2,000 people, dudes, it's swiped right on it. How the hell is she going to pick you? How do you stand out?

Speaker 4 The apps probably aren't the best way to do it. For example, my dating shows, I'm giving open-minded people a reason to talk to each other.
I like that.

Speaker 4 And then if they're open-minded, they'll be like, okay, they'll kind of see through the looks. I try to match them up with...

Speaker 4 like off their looks a little bit and like hey they might work and if they're open-minded they had that common bond boom i and i I like that.

Speaker 5 And you know what? Most people, especially guys, they're horrible when it comes to setting up their dating profile. They don't know how to put a nice photo of themselves.
They actually don't.

Speaker 5 He could be the nicest guy in the world, but when you see their profile, it looks so shitty. So usually the girls don't even want to.

Speaker 4 That's why it's marketing. Let's say you got a business, you got a podcast, you need to market it, right?

Speaker 4 Oh, we're going there.

Speaker 5 That way? Karen is like incredible. She's filming us, walking backwards, and telling us where to go.

Speaker 4 Talk about a wingman, right? Yeah.

Speaker 4 She's the last.

Speaker 4 I forgot what were we talking about. What were we talking about?

Speaker 5 The dating apps.

Speaker 4 The dating apps. The dating apps.

Speaker 5 That most guys, that's another thing you could help.

Speaker 4 Oh, we were talking about marketing.

Speaker 5 They don't know how to

Speaker 5 market themselves.

Speaker 4 Well, that's the thing. Like, you'd market a business, right? You market a podcast.
You have to do the same thing in dating. You can't just expect the girls to like you.

Speaker 4 Effort. It's literally just effort, and I think that's lost nowadays.

Speaker 4 And guys have to do the effort. You can't expect the girl, like, sure, the girl could be like, hey, you're cute or whatever, but

Speaker 4 you need to sweep her off her feet. She wants to be one over.

Speaker 5 Say that again.

Speaker 5 You need to sweep her off her feet.

Speaker 4 Yeah, you need to win her over, sweep her off her feet. That's what they want.
That's how you make a girl fall in love with you. I like you.
Make her feel fall in love with you. I appreciate you.

Speaker 4 I'm going to start with dating show hosts. Yeah, dating shows.
So, how many people, these dudes?

Speaker 5 Oh, look, he's gonna poop right there. I feel so bad.

Speaker 4 Look, I don't wanna be me, but dog on the loose.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I couldn't imagine.

Speaker 5 It's tough for dogs, yeah.

Speaker 4 It's really tough, right?

Speaker 4 There is no park,

Speaker 4 awk,

Speaker 5 little angel.

Speaker 5 Obviously, everybody notices that I'm like, I'm like from LA, but it's a tough place.

Speaker 4 It's a tough place.

Speaker 5 So, if somebody watching us, like, okay, I want to participate on these dating shows, how do they apply or how do they find it?

Speaker 4 Yeah, go to wingmanoftheyear.com or you can just search wingman of the year. Yeah.

Speaker 4 There's an application page on there. It should just say dating on the tab.

Speaker 4 It's in all our social links, like on our link tree and whatnot. You search Wingman of the Year.

Speaker 4 on any platform. We should pop up and apply if you want to be be on one.

Speaker 4 We're trying to travel more and do these shows in other areas, maybe LA, maybe New York.

Speaker 4 So, yeah, we're trying to expand and I'm going to try to wingman for as many people as I possibly can.

Speaker 4 I quite literally want to, on my tombstone, when I go six feet under, I want it to say, obviously, wingman of the year, but I want it to say Cupid. I want to be the Cupid of my generation.

Speaker 4 I want to impact the population I hooked up so many people.

Speaker 5 I love that because I'm all about spreading love. So I love that you're saying that because I see so many people and that's one thing that is really important to be doing this podcast.

Speaker 5 So many people, especially women, they go through so many horrible experiences. Yeah,

Speaker 5 and they're like, oh, I can't do this anymore.

Speaker 4 I gave up. A lot of people are quitting, guys.
Yeah.

Speaker 5 Oh my God, it's getting like super cold.

Speaker 4 I'm trying to bundle up.

Speaker 4 The applicants I get are

Speaker 4 struggling.

Speaker 4 you know they're they're not finding the right person they want to give up and they've lost hope so and the girls they're like i'm never gonna date again i gave up on love and i'm like no no no no no no don't let the bad guys the bad people make you give up on love right you gotta keep going and that's why this wingman thing works because they're just open-minded be open-minded and just have a conversation and i tell them all because i make everybody feel comfortable that's the first thing i do before they come on the show make sure they're ready for it I tell them you can say no at the end, there's no pressure.

Speaker 4 You know, you at least got the experience. You put yourself out there, and they always walk away with at least a little more confidence.
Absolutely.

Speaker 5 And like you said, it's all about you have to put yourself out there. And that's another thing.

Speaker 5 I think when COVID hit, a lot of us got used to sitting on our ass on the couch and scrolling endlessly, endlessly through dating apps.

Speaker 5 So nowadays, I'm like, guys, get out of your ass, get out of your couch and put yourself out there again

Speaker 5 so even if you do yeah make an effort go out in real life yeah because there is nothing like we are we are doing it today like there is nothing like meeting people interacting with people have a coffee go to a bookshop try a new hobby you know whatever walk around a new neighborhood in your city because you never know who you're gonna meet you know there is nothing nothing like meeting people in real life and i think the dating apps are never gonna be the, never gonna give you the same.

Speaker 4 And another great dating tip is to have no expectations. So I know a lot of guys are like, they go out to the bars, they're like, oh, I'm gonna get laid tonight.

Speaker 4 And then they're pissed at the fucking world, and then they're assholes because they didn't.

Speaker 4 So,

Speaker 4 no expectations. Best advice you can have.
And especially for women, too.

Speaker 5 You know that you said, you know why, that's good you mentioned that. You know why I never get nervous on dates?

Speaker 5 This is why I don't have an expectation, like, oh my god, am I gonna fall in love with this guy?

Speaker 5 This is how I approach a first date.

Speaker 4 Well, that's where a lot of people get let down. They're like, All right, I have this bar to hit, and if you're not

Speaker 4 right at it, you could be close, but it's like, nah, yeah, so people are giving up very soon.

Speaker 5 I approach a first date, like, you know what? If I'm not a match, maybe we're gonna be best friends, maybe you're gonna be a business contact for me, maybe my friend is gonna like you.

Speaker 4 So that's why I never get nervous.

Speaker 5 So this is a good tip. If you go on a first date, you are like, you know what? This is a new experience in my life.

Speaker 5 As opposed to like freaking out about how you're going to feel about that person, it totally changes the way.

Speaker 5 Oh, sorry. She's like...

Speaker 4 Oh,

Speaker 4 oh, we're going that way.

Speaker 4 I don't even know what I'm saying. I love it.
I have no idea where we are.

Speaker 5 What's the name of this part of New York?

Speaker 4 I've never been here. Do you know where we are? No, I'm just

Speaker 4 following the camera first.

Speaker 5 Is this Chelsea? I don't know.

Speaker 4 I think so. It says Chelsea over there.
Is it Carrie?

Speaker 4 Should we cross here? Oh, hold on. Let's not do it.

Speaker 5 Let's not get killed.

Speaker 4 After the screen truck.

Speaker 5 Yeah, but that's a good idea.

Speaker 4 You want to go?

Speaker 5 No, seriously.

Speaker 4 Were you recording the podcast while walking?

Speaker 5 We were literally talking and walking and working at the same time

Speaker 4 I love it.

Speaker 5 The drivers here are very aggressive.

Speaker 4 You gotta want it.

Speaker 4 You gotta put that effort in on the road too. The drivers are very aggressive.

Speaker 5 I would not ever attempt to drive here ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever.

Speaker 5 I don't know where we're going, but I know we're going someplace hot. I don't know.

Speaker 4 You say hot? How many, huh? Would you say somewhere hot?

Speaker 5 No, somewhere cute. I think there's like a really pretty art gallery or a museum or something that I wanted to show you.

Speaker 4 It might need to use your phone, you know? Huh?

Speaker 5 I might need to use your phone. Okay, we're gonna take a break and we'll be right back.
This is Cat on the Loose, literally on the lose, with super handsome fabulous winged man hunters.

Speaker 4 Yeah, we'll be right back.

Speaker 1 Let's take a really quick break and talk about a problem that I know most of us have, especially after super crazy long work days. Puffy eyes, dark circles, eye bags, tired-looking skin.

Speaker 1 And this is why I partnered with Marie Marine. And now I am madly in love with this brand of collagen eye gels, collagen and hyaluronic acid face masks.

Speaker 5 Now we are the Flatiron District. Look how pretty, right?

Speaker 5 And we're gonna go inside Italy

Speaker 5 and talk a little more.

Speaker 4 Let's do it.

Speaker 5 So we're gonna do a little cut and we'll see you guys in there.

Speaker 5 So we moved inside Little Italy. How do you love it?

Speaker 4 I love it a lot. This is a lot of fun.

Speaker 5 And you had a drink, which I love.

Speaker 4 Yes,

Speaker 4 I might need another one here soon. Okay, we can.

Speaker 5 You're welcome to have as many as you want.

Speaker 4 Appreciate you.

Speaker 5 Because apparently the more you drink, the more you want to talk.

Speaker 4 That seems to be a trend.

Speaker 5 That seems to be a trend.

Speaker 4 We were talking off camera.

Speaker 5 So there's two subjects that I want to talk about before we wrap this up because this was a very interesting conversation.

Speaker 5 The first one is,

Speaker 5 and I want your opinion, I was showing you a video of my dog Phoenix that stayed behind in LA.

Speaker 5 And I mentioned to you that my ex-boyfriend Adam is not only fetched in Phoenix, he's staying at my place, pet sitting Phoenix, taking Phoenix to the apartment, and you were like, wow, this is really civilized.

Speaker 4 Yeah, that's definitely progressive.

Speaker 4 I got asked, is there still something there? Yeah, no, I'm turning this interview around.

Speaker 5 Yeah, so no, but this is what I'm talking about because I want your opinion. Yeah, we met and we dated.

Speaker 5 He was the one that broke up with me in a very civilized manner because

Speaker 5 we really liked each other, but we had nothing in common. We were like day and night, very different lifestyles.
We couldn't really connect for many different reasons.

Speaker 5 I was very hurt the way he broke up with me because it was just before my birthday. And I was just going through a lot of different things in my life.
So I think that was very hurtful.

Speaker 5 But let's talk about the positive side. Don't you think it's nice if two people break up, if they can transform it into a really nice friendship and

Speaker 5 stay connected in different ways.

Speaker 4 I think you definitely got to set those boundaries, though. I think that might be different.

Speaker 4 Like, what boundaries? Like, I feel like some people, you know, like,

Speaker 4 let's say I started dating a girl and she was friends with her ex.

Speaker 4 I probably wouldn't like that. Oh, really? Yeah,

Speaker 4 he pets, like, if like, if I was dating a girl and her ex pets sat,

Speaker 4 you know, her dog.

Speaker 4 Absolutely not. Red flag.

Speaker 4 Red flag? Why?

Speaker 4 Well, if I was dating, right?

Speaker 5 I don't know.

Speaker 5 Honestly, I was just dating.

Speaker 4 Especially the timeline.

Speaker 4 You were like, oh, two months ago. I'd be like, oh.

Speaker 5 Yeah, he literally broke up with me a few days after Valentine's Day. The Valentine's flowers were still on my table.

Speaker 5 And my birthday was coming up, so I was very hurt about that because I thought he should have waited until after my birthday.

Speaker 4 So it would have been all right if he waited.

Speaker 5 I think it would have been classier.

Speaker 4 I think he split the middle is what he did. I think he thought about these.
He's like, there's Valentine's Day, then her birthday. Let's get her through Valentine's Day.

Speaker 5 Yeah, and like, yeah. But if a guy wanted to date me, I'm not going to give up my friendship with him.
So it's funny you said that because I would say, you know, he's a big important part of my life.

Speaker 4 Well, let's step back. This is still fresh.
Obviously, you're not willing to give it up.

Speaker 5 No, but like, honestly.

Speaker 4 Are you ready to date right now?

Speaker 5 Oh, very ready. I want a relationship.

Speaker 4 And he would be okay. This guy would be okay?

Speaker 5 Yes, because he said to me, he knows I deserve a partner. I mean, he put me back in the dating poll.
We were talking about that in the cab here, remember? I think Karen said something about that.

Speaker 5 And you said something about that. Like, if somebody gives you up,

Speaker 5 like, if somebody says, you were talking about situationships,

Speaker 5 like you said, oh, there's a lot of people out there. And if you have a fight, bye, I'm going to go find somebody else.

Speaker 5 My opinion is if somebody breaks up with you, they're basically saying, Bye, go out there and go date somebody else. They're giving somebody else the chance to find you.

Speaker 4 That doesn't mean they want

Speaker 4 they, yeah, it would still probably hurt them, right? If he hooked up with another girl, would it hurt you?

Speaker 4 Yes, I don't want any of my exes to be happy with somebody else.

Speaker 5 I want them to miss me forever and ever and ever.

Speaker 4 That's how we all are.

Speaker 5 I want them to be like, oh my god, why did I give up cats? She's the most fabulous. She's the last Coca-Cola zero of the desert with ice under an umbrella.

Speaker 4 That's a hell of an analogy.

Speaker 4 Have you been using that one or did you just disagree with that?

Speaker 5 I've used it before in the past, but I haven't used it in a long time. I don't think I ever used it on Grand On the Loose.

Speaker 4 We're getting loose with it. We're getting loose with it today.

Speaker 4 No, yeah. True.

Speaker 5 I haven't drank, but that's the truth. I don't want any of my exes.
I ch I don't want to just see them. I'm being very honest here, guys, with you guys.

Speaker 4 Vulnerability is good, so why is that? You just got possessive?

Speaker 4 I get it.

Speaker 5 I don't know if it's possessive, yeah. Karen, do you want to see your exes with somebody else? Karen, to be honest, do you?

Speaker 4 I do. She's like, I do.

Speaker 4 Take it away.

Speaker 4 Do you?

Speaker 4 I don't. It depends.

Speaker 4 It depends on the ex. I'm not.

Speaker 4 Like, I had one ex, I was like, I genuinely

Speaker 4 dealt with a lot of depression. And I was like, I really don't think I can make her happy and it would make me happy just to see her happy.
So I was at peace with it. But then there's some like, yeah.

Speaker 4 Hell no.

Speaker 5 Well, first of all, I have to say, I don't have a lot of exes.

Speaker 4 So let's put that on record. I have very few.

Speaker 5 I have very few. And the few ones that I have,

Speaker 5 yeah, no. I want them to really miss me forever.

Speaker 4 But let's say you start dating a guy now. Let's say you just started dating a guy.
Yeah.

Speaker 4 But the timeline's weird. Let's say you were dating a guy for like a month and a half.
Yeah. I know that kind of runs into your timeline.

Speaker 4 I'll break up there.

Speaker 4 And then you're like, hey, I'm going to New York for a couple days.

Speaker 4 Here we are. And then you were like, oh, yeah, I got a dog sit.
Would you tell that guy that you're dating, that you got a dog sitter, or it's your ex?

Speaker 5 I would tell, I don't lie.

Speaker 4 Well, okay, lying and not telling you. You don't know me, I don't do.

Speaker 5 Yeah, I'm very black and white. I mean, first of all, that's the funny thing about dating me, right? My entire life is on the podcast.

Speaker 5 So that's one thing that the guys say to me. They're like, oh my god, I know so much about you because the whole life.
So yeah, like if they're gonna date me, it's a very, I'm very black and white.

Speaker 5 I'm an open book.

Speaker 4 So

Speaker 4 I don't like it. Let's say I'm that this imaginary guy that you're dating, right? Yeah.

Speaker 4 And

Speaker 4 you're

Speaker 4 you're telling me you're going to New York and I'm like, what are you going to do about your dog?

Speaker 4 How are you parling?

Speaker 5 So I have a wonderful friend. He's an incredible man and he's kind enough to pet sit Phoenix because he knows I can only work if I have peace of mind if Phoenix is doing well.

Speaker 4 Okay, so

Speaker 4 he's a friend, you said. He is.
But you didn't say he was an ex.

Speaker 5 But if he asked, but if the person asked, I was asking you.

Speaker 4 Right, right. So you're not lying, exactly.
I'm not lying. I don't lie.

Speaker 5 I don't lie.

Speaker 5 I never, never, never lie. I do not lie.
That's one thing about me. I don't like lies.

Speaker 5 I think lies are like cockroaches. Like where there is one, there's like 10 billion.

Speaker 4 That makes sense.

Speaker 5 I think that's a bad idea.

Speaker 5 so would you be if the guy got upset if he found out it was your ex it's probably not a guy for me i need a secure strong man you know how we were talking about loyalty karen actually asked you off camera like because you you said you're being exclusive with your girlfriend and she asked you but how do you know you're being exclusive with each other and said it's all about trust

Speaker 5 So yeah, it's all about you need to trust each other.

Speaker 4 So if this happened vice versa, if the guy had

Speaker 4 his ex of a month and a half ago.

Speaker 5 I have to trust the person.

Speaker 4 Like, okay. Do you have trust as a month and a half in?

Speaker 5 I have to.

Speaker 5 If I feel like, I think this is what I do with people, okay? And this trick is really great for everybody. You guys should try it.

Speaker 5 I think the only way to trust someone, you gotta treat the person that you just met like a credit card. Like I give you credit, right? I give you a little bit of credit.

Speaker 5 You don't give somebody like an unlimited credit card right away.

Speaker 5 So I give you like a small credit card, like let's say with a thousand dollar credit limit.

Speaker 4 Got it.

Speaker 5 And then I give you more and more and more as

Speaker 5 a really good way to look at it. It's the only way to look.

Speaker 4 You should trademark that. I don't know how you would do that.

Speaker 5 Exactly. But I think it's the only way to develop a relationship.

Speaker 4 Or just trust yourself.

Speaker 5 Yeah, but you have to.

Speaker 5 Because if you start from the get-go, like, I don't trust you. Oh, it's an ex-girlfriend.
You're going to fuck her. It already starts from a negative perspective.

Speaker 5 I like to start things from the positive perspective.

Speaker 4 So you're saying those thoughts wouldn't be there?

Speaker 5 No, not with me. Because I wanna start every relationship from a positive perspective.
So I'm like, okay, I'm giving you a small

Speaker 5 positive credit card. Go for it.

Speaker 5 So if you ruin the credit, okay, I'm not gonna give you more credit, you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 Yeah. I like that.
I like that.

Speaker 5 That's how I at least that's how I go about my relationships. And most most people blow the credit, like real life, right? Unfortunately,

Speaker 4 most people,

Speaker 5 and it's just human nature, they turn out to be untrustworthy, right?

Speaker 5 In the game of life and any relationship for that matter.

Speaker 4 So we were talking a little off-camera, though it's the same subject here, changed a little bit.

Speaker 4 Do you like a little bit of jealousy? A little bit of crazy? Yes. Okay.

Speaker 5 I think jealousy, a little bit, not crazy, but jealousy is a part of and

Speaker 5 caring about someone and spices of them.

Speaker 4 Because I like seeing it from a girl because it shows she cares. I don't want like you have like steak in my house out there.

Speaker 5 Oh my god. No, that's that's cross.

Speaker 4 No, but I want someone to be like

Speaker 4 I like it when the girl's like, who is she? Like, I'm like, okay.

Speaker 4 All right. Yeah.
You don't want anyone else having me. Like I like that.
Yeah. Who is this cat on the loose girl? Exactly.
That's what we want. That's what we want.
Yeah, let me look at her Instagram.

Speaker 4 I think a little bit of jealousy a little spice.

Speaker 5 It means they like it. It means they care.
Yes.

Speaker 4 And you know, that's all it comes down to in a relationship. We talked about effort earlier in the earlier segments of this.
Effort and, you know, a little bit of jealousy.

Speaker 5 So I totally agree with this. The spice of the relationship.

Speaker 5 And so before I let you go, we were also talking off-camera.

Speaker 4 I gotta elaborate on this a little bit.

Speaker 5 I know you don't want it.

Speaker 4 Karen was like, oh, I need another one.

Speaker 5 We need another drink.

Speaker 4 Waiter.

Speaker 4 No, we're good.

Speaker 5 You said in the beginning of the podcast, you are on this, because this is something new. We never talked about this on Canon De Loose.

Speaker 4 Okay.

Speaker 5 Maybe it's something new and I want to learn. But you said that...
Do you really want another drink?

Speaker 4 No, no, I'm good. Okay, you're good.

Speaker 5 You said

Speaker 5 you're dating this girl.

Speaker 4 She's pretty.

Speaker 5 But I have to say, on record, you guys are up to par with each other. She's not here and you're here.

Speaker 4 That's how it should be.

Speaker 5 Yeah, you're super handsome.

Speaker 5 And you guys, if you're doing the audio episode, Wingman, if you're doing the audio episode, please, pretty, please, go to YouTube, both our YouTube channels, Wingman of the Year and Carolus Podcast, and go to our Instagrams and look at his face.

Speaker 5 He's super handsome. He needs to move to Hollywood and be on TV.

Speaker 5 I'm gonna take it all. I'm gonna be your agent.

Speaker 4 I need to do that.

Speaker 5 Your girlfriend is not gonna like me.

Speaker 5 She's be like, oh, she's gonna take my boyfriend away to Albany. What's her name?

Speaker 4 Sydney.

Speaker 4 Huh?

Speaker 5 Well, okay, you're his girlfriend. So, this is what we're gonna talk about.
You said you guys are exclusive, but she doesn't wanna call you boyfriend and girlfriend. So, I said, there is a situation

Speaker 5 to me in my mind. If two people call each other exclusive, I mean you're boyfriend-girlfriend territory.
And now you're telling me apparently there is a whole other level in between

Speaker 5 because she's saying you guys are exclusive but she doesn't want you guys to call each other boyfriend, girlfriend.

Speaker 4 I think we're getting very close to it. There's a lot of steps we're taking but it's been a, it's been dating for a long time.

Speaker 4 But yeah, there is a there's this weird level and what do we call that level? That's the situationship level.

Speaker 5 No, because situationships are not exclusive.

Speaker 4 I think they are, yeah. No.
They can be. They can be.
There's levels to a situation.

Speaker 5 Exactly, but I'm telling you, most situationships, people are dating other people, they don't know where they stand.

Speaker 4 I'm telling you. Well, I think a lot of what comes into this is judgment from the outside.

Speaker 4 So this is where the option thing comes in and other people's opinions getting in there. And everybody's relationships different, but I think it's...

Speaker 5 But did you ever ask her why don't you want me to call you my girlfriend?

Speaker 5 I think we've had the conversation.

Speaker 4 I might have had a couple drinks.

Speaker 4 Dun dun dun dun.

Speaker 5 We're putting her on the spot.

Speaker 4 Hey, I'm not on the spot. I want her in.

Speaker 4 I don't think we've had to talk in a little bit. Because like I said, we took a break for a little bit and we got back together.
Okay.

Speaker 4 So I was like, when we had the talk, I was like, hey, it's still fresh. Like, let's take a couple more steps.
But there's a lot of layers to it.

Speaker 5 There's a lot of layers.

Speaker 4 Everybody's got something different.

Speaker 4 Mine sounds kind of difficult, probably to the people listening at home. But you know, I mean, I think we're both happy.
We make each other happy.

Speaker 4 And I think we were talking, maybe this was off-camera, but we were talking about like

Speaker 4 falling in love and stuff like that. They don't call it fall in love.
They call it falling in love. I think it's a longer process.

Speaker 4 Like, oh, you could be like head over heels over somebody. Yeah.
But it takes time to develop.

Speaker 4 Like, oh, I really care about this person. I need to, like,

Speaker 4 and you know, I've gotten to know her to a point where I know what she needs in a relationship is patience. So I try to stand by her and give her that patience.

Speaker 4 You make me sound good over here, but I think that's what she needs for a successful relationship, and I respect that. And I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable at the end of the day.

Speaker 5 That's so sweet. You're like, you win Boyfriend of the Year award.

Speaker 4 Boyfriend of the Year. Man, I got to have that and Wingman of the Year.

Speaker 5 We got to start a new award for you.

Speaker 4 We should. And it was super fun.

Speaker 5 I'm so glad we did this in person. I think this was an an amazing episode.
Very organic. And you got to see a little bit more of Manhattan, right?

Speaker 4 Yeah, I've only really come down for Yankees games and whatnot. And I only live in Albany and upstate New York.

Speaker 5 See, you've got to come down to Manhattan a little bit more.

Speaker 4 Quick train ride. I got to travel more.
Yeah, you've got to travel more.

Speaker 5 And this is like, Manhattan is really fun. It's really exciting.
And I hope you do come down. You have an open invitation to come do an episode.
in LA.

Speaker 4 Let's do it.

Speaker 5 And then we can do it organically.

Speaker 4 We'll be there soon.

Speaker 5 Please. And then we'll do one organically on the streets of Hollywood, Beverly Hills.
And then we can compare the dating styles of LA and Beverly Hills and Manhattan.

Speaker 5 And if you want to bring your girlfriend, we make a lot of jokes, but she's more than welcome because at the end of the day, it's all about everybody finding love, right? I'm a sucker for love.

Speaker 5 I'll say this.

Speaker 4 Everybody deserves love. I know.
A lot of people don't think that they do, but they absolutely deserve love. I know.
And they shouldn't quit. They just need to

Speaker 4 relearn and rewire their brain. And you know what? When Find it out, get a wingman, have somebody hype you off.
Yes,

Speaker 5 and I always say that on the podcast, like even if you had 10 million bad dates, even if you got your heart broken, I've got my heart broken so many times.

Speaker 5 Even if somebody treated you like shit, pick up the pieces, pull yourself by the bootstraps, like my mom used to say, and go out there again because you should never give up on love, right?

Speaker 5 It doesn't matter how hard it is. Everybody deserves to find someone.
Everybody deserves love. Keep going.
