Hey, everybody, it's the crew of Mission to Zix.

Hello, hello.

Hello.

We have a couple of very important announcements for you today.

First of all, important,

of course, to the degree that Mission to Zix is important.

You mean by important?

Yeah, yes, just important to us.

First of all, we are announcing that season five is coming up very soon, and we have an incredible trailer for you that's going to play in just a few minutes.

And before we get to the trailer, the other part of the announcement is that we've decided that season five of Mission to Zix will be the final season of the show.

We have just finished talking for quite a while about how to announce this.

And even with that discussion, saying to you that we're ending the show after this season is heart-wrenching to us.

We're going to be really sad to see the show go.

As weird as this may sound, we're actually really excited to end the show at the same time and have it come to a close that's satisfying for us and our characters and our audience.

Right.

Even though we're an improvised show, we still had a kind of a plan in mind.

And we're all familiar with the famous sci-fi series, Pretty Little Liars.

I was reading about how when they started, They knew who A was, but then because they kept getting extended and extended, they had to keep changing the plot.

And that's kind of why the whole series fell apart.

And we don't want that for Mission to Zex.

Yeah.

One thing that we're all talking about just now is what an incredible project it's been and how it's kind of surpassed what we thought it could be and our dreams of for it.

Yeah.

Yeah.

This has been an incredibly satisfying project, both creatively and in terms of the fans we've gotten to meet and reach and just hear that people care about the show and love the characters.

We also, you know, over the years have gotten a lot of really, really touching messages from fans telling us how much the show means to them or how the show helped them get through a difficult time in their lives.

And for those we want to say thank you, those really make our day, week, month, or even our year.

But did you just drop a friend's?

Yeah, I don't know why I did that.

Well, it's part of the show.

I know why you did it, and I appreciate it.

Thank you.

And not only do we appreciate hearing from you, the listeners, but also so many of you literally make the show possible through your support, through Maximum Fun, and before that, through Patreon, which allows us to devote all the time to Mission to Zix and also just shows us that you care about it.

And we owe it to you to end it in a climactic, fulfilling way.

Also, I just want to say that this isn't the end of us all working with each other.

We are strangely a no drama group.

Like we all like each other, which is weird.

And so we will be able to do that.

Well, I don't like Seth very much, but otherwise,

absolutely.

Zoom chat you some.

We hope to have other stories to tell and other worlds to explore.

So, this isn't the end.

Yeah.

Right.

And it's no secret that we are interested in trying to turn Mission to Zix into an animated show.

Yeah.

And who knows what other types of adaptations we could make.

So, if any of you is a deep-pocketed animation executive,

we are available to talk.

Indeed.

And speaking of working together, the elephant in our Zoom room has been a little bit like: is there going to be a time when one of us can't commit to continuing to do the show?

Which would be a deal-breaker for us because we love each other, we love the show, we love the dynamic we've created.

And so, not only were we really invested in telling a story that had a point and an end and a satisfying conclusion, but also we wanted to make sure that no matter what happened, that Zix was always going to be the seven of us.

There's seven of us?

What's up?

Shane.

Shane.

You got to give me a what's up.

Speaking of Shane, hopefully when you listen to the show, you realize that over the seasons, it has become much more ambitious in terms of sound design and complexity of scenes and complexity of the stories.

Yeah.

We haven't recorded it yet, so I can't make any promises for the quality of the ending of the show, but I'm excited to

do an ending, to do an ending with like our full amount of power, with our best ideas, and like talk about that, talk about what endings mean in sci-fi.

Yeah.

And we want to get our shot to do a good one.

Yeah.

We do want to reassure you that not only is season five going to be great, but it's going to be even bigger and even better than any season that's come before it.

You guys don't even know what's coming.

Yeah, we've got some incredible guests.

It's going to be good.

Ridiculous storylines.

And with our bi-weekly release schedule, we're going to be releasing new episodes into early 2022.

So we're not ending anytime soon.

So to get ourselves and you all excited, we are now going to present to you a trailer for season five.

Now, we have not recorded 90% of season five yet, so we are going to instead improvise a trailer for you that contains moments that may or may not be in season five.

They won't be.

Spoiler alert, they definitely will not be in season five.

But I thought they'd be pretty fun.

And I actually thought it might be a good idea to, you know, get us a little bit of help with this trailer.

So I am going to dial up our good friend Jeremy Crutchley.

You may know him as The Crutch.

You may know him as the guy who does our intro voiceover crawls.

Yeah.

We lean on the crutch pretty hard in that first minute of every episode.

Yes.

So he's probably around.

It's, you know, 9 o'clock p.m.

He's probably at home.

Ring him up.

Shane, are we hooked up to the sound?

Yeah, he should be able to hear you.

Okay, great.

Hello?

Hey, Jeremy, it's Alden, Alden Ford from Mission to Zix.

Alden.

Yeah, hey,

I was wondering, I'm here with the cast of the show, and we're about to record sort of an improvised trailer for the show.

I was wondering if you might be able to say no more.

Every journey comes to an end.

Let's form a perimeter.

One last time.

It's all come down to this.

There's only one way out, and that's through

the darkness.

Mr.

Rubovan, what are you doing?

I'm just taking one last look at my co-workers.

Friendships will be tested.

Dahl, you have to do it.

You have to shoot quick.

Okay,

destinies will be fulfilled.

I've become a complete bird.

I'm flying.

I'm flying.

Remember, Bleck, the space will be with you, always.

Sorry, who are you again?

It's Master Kiaran.

Oh, right, right, right, sir.

He's calling in.

Identities will be revealed.

Karn

Balevor?

Didn't see that one coming, did you?

There's something you have to know.

I'm actually AJ

288

born.

No, that's what we thought.

Okay, I don't have any secrets.

Questions will finally be answered.

Which one is AJ?

Which one is Rolfus?

So you have to take this red pill or this shit brown pill?

The shit brown pill sort of doesn't look like a pill.

It's more like a.

It's a pill.

It looks like a drape?

Yeah.

Play the room tone backwards.

Play it backwards.

Mermit.

This is your son.

Mermit.

Mermit?

I've made appetizers.

Lines will be crossed.

Duh, I can't do brunch on Tuesday.

I'm sorry.

I'll never speak to you again.

That's right.

I'm starting my own planet.

I mean, podcasts.

Pleck, put down the sex gun.

But you don't know how to use that.

Everything has changed.

Sisu?

Yes.

It's always been you.

Darr, it's always been you.

Actually,

you do have an orange spear.

Yeah.

Wait one second.

Thanks for paying back Finnifer J Ryan.

On April 28th, the saga starts concluding.

Guys, we don't have a choice.

We have to put on a show.

We can do it in no barn.

We've got the costumes, we've got a stage.

We can do it, you guys.

Mission to zix:

the final season on maximum fun.

What is grief if not love?

Persevering.

Hey, buddy, jerk my nuts.

Oh, no, this guy's not trying.

I'm back,

I'm telling you to jerk my nuts.
