Chronic migraine is 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more.

Botox, onabotulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine before they start.

It's not for those with 14 or fewer headache days a month.

It prevents on average eight to nine headache days a month versus six to seven for placebo.

Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor.

Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection, causing serious symptoms.

Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems, or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition.

Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk.

Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck, and injection, side pain, fatigue, and headache.

Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms, and dizziness.

Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection.

Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis, or Lambert Eaton syndrome, and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects.

This is the Dan Labatar Show with the Stu Gats Podcast.

It's a Friday here.

That means the weekend is here.

Everyone is excited.

Everyone's in a great mood, except I keep having to spend more money on these goddamn apps.

Oh, shit.

The weekend was here last weekend.

Oh, my God.

Was it?

He was here last weekend.

Yeah.

But no E.

Hard Rock.

Jeez.

So, Hawk, I don't know if you're aware, all right, but you gotta have apps, all right?

The apps are how we get all our entertainment.

You gotta have all the apps, okay?

Yeah, and for instance, you know, ESPN started their direct-to-consumer app that debuted yesterday.

How was it?

Uh, well, actually, you'll notice if you go into the ESPN app like today, it's like different font, it's a little bit different.

I like it actually, but I

have to upgrade, you know, the kind of ESPN app I have because WWE is starting on ESPN next month.

And like, I gotta make sure that I'm getting those shows.

I love pro wrestling.

Okay.

so yesterday i had to uh get the new service all right uh streaming streaming services i had to get the upgraded service on paying a little bit more money there i did that yesterday and today

again guys on my way in i'm on my way to work this morning i got spotify hawk i put it on and just it's nothing but rap music which means my son is listening to spotify in his car i know where that was going

again

well that was one of them at one point yeah but it's all these I've never heard there's another one it's called Yeet you know that Yeet of course hey all right he's listening to yeet come on man come on I don't know yeet I know yeet I've heard

kids about yeet I I get all my young rap information from Tony actually.

So, I mean, he's just flipping track to track to track because my son now drives to school and his first day at school was two days ago.

You got to have a good song for that first drive in.

So this is a new thing where now this is disrupting my ride here because my son is hogging the Spotify.

So this morning I was like, I can't live like this.

So I upgraded the Spotify account that we have.

And now, you know, I'm paying more for that so that we can separately use the Spotify at the same time.

That's messed up, man.

I don't like it.

I don't like where society is going and I don't know how young our demographic of listeners is.

So I might be alienating the really, really young ones that are like old man talk.

But I don't like it.

I don't like it at all.

you know what i had uh i was trying to watch fourth and long which is the reality show i was on not to make this about me but absolutely to make it about me but the problem is i i bought it because i was on this reality show and i bought it right we we buy things and we own things and then i went back to watch this thing that i bought i think it was on prime and because they decided to take it off i no longer have access and i sat there in fury of like well i i bought it i didn't rent it i didn't like subscribe and get to watch and stream i bought it the old days you could buy it and have it for forever.

Nothing is forever.

And to your point, they will continue to drive the prices up on the apps because we don't own and have like finger touching anything, man.

It's gotten to the point where it's just like all these apps out there.

How about just here's my checking account?

You let me know how much money I can keep.

Like that's, I'm constantly paying for things.

It's never ending.

Did you talk to your subscribers?

Money subscription?

Is that what we're signing up for with crypto?

Depends.

If XRP XRP is a certain point, we're good.

It won't matter.

Talk to me.

Of course, you're right.

Did you text your son today?

Because yesterday, Hawk, they had an exchange on Spotify in which his son alphed him.

And then he said, I'm just going to wait until his son said.

You want to tell him?

Yeah, so

well, yeah.

How old's your son, real quick?

16.

Okay.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So you're.

Just started driving to school, first year driving to school, you know?

Okay.

And like, I text him, you know, the short version of the story is uh he was very polite and he told me very politely that he's he was listening first so i just i was like screw it you want to change that it wasn't very politely

he told him sugar tits yeah he said i was listening first sugar tits i have the clip i can play it i was listening first sugar tits

wow that is uh that was a line in the saying right there so we we had a short exchange and it ultimately ended with all right he's gonna be at school in two minutes i'll wait and so

so today i had like the same plan, except I pull up the Life 360 app.

You know, do you use the Life 360 app with your kids yet?

What's that?

You can keep track of where they are.

Life Alert?

Essentially, yeah, you can keep track of where they are.

It's really great.

Great app, okay?

Does it do specific when you're at a place?

Because I've had this where my wife are like on a cruise.

We always know where my daughter is, but it just tells us she's on the cruise.

No, no, no.

It's like one of these like big things.

It's like, oh, thanks.

I know she's on the cruise.

No, this is how I knew that my son was at Taco Bell at 1 a.m.

Okay.

Is your daughter like six?

She's just running around cruises?

Well, on cruises, they have the kids' club.

Like when they're at the kids' club, we like to be able to.

So how does Life 360 work?

It's like a chip you put in your kid's neck or something?

So Neuralink.

Like a dog?

It's connected to their phone, obviously.

So

somebody's hot up.

So, so I'm tracking him on the Life 360 today, Hawk.

I'm waiting for him to get to school.

So he gets to school, but like he's still changing the tracks from song to song.

I could see he's in the parking lot of his school.

So I think he's just sitting in his car like listening to music, you know?

Maybe, maybe, I don't know.

Gracious.

But so the old wake and bake.

Go ahead.

So I, yeah, like I couldn't listen to music this morning.

I'm like, I can't live like this.

What about the sugar tits part?

I feel like we glossed over that.

Was I wrong?

There's got to be some backstory there.

After he gave you a wedgie this morning, right?

What did you do?

What did you do then as he intensified the bullying of his father?

Well, we have a thing in our house, and it's where if you want to be man of the house, you could challenge me.

Okay, meaning you got to take me down.

I'm fucking official, like in Black Panther, where precisely

white Jewish kids

Can you take me down and my son?

Yeah, we have a whole you know, it's a whole tribe

they're praying I got you different tribe different tribe That's right

He tried one he tried about four months ago.

Okay, it didn't go well for him.

All right, and you felt good you feel good about the timeline you have right now.

Yeah, you just got to make it to 18.

Yeah, well, and and he you have to wait six months until you could challenge me again.

So it's like you all right that hey, you wasted it, man.

See you in six months if you want.

Yeah, that's a good old man rule that you put in there because young guys,

I'll see you every month.

You can't do this twice a week.

Exactly.

Heal up.

This six months, at some point, if he's smart, he's going to negotiate that down.

You can't just be looking over my shoulder every day wondering if it's going to happen.

Hey, but that's the wild of being a man.

Like four times in a week, he'll get you on the fourth because you're going to be sore.

Wait, he can sneak attack?

He should get one sneak attack.

I think it should be like, all right, this is my attack, and it's face-to-face.

Like, this can't be you're sleeping and all of a sudden he's pitting you.

Well, no,

that's no we both have to be standing

okay this is when the hardcore belt was 24-7.

That's right.

Very similar.

But like I said, there's a six-month interval.

That's a crazy interval.

That is a yeah.

That's like way

in your favor.

Yeah.

He shouldn't agree to that.

Wait, so how does this end?

When one of you hits the ground, it's over?

Yeah, if you could like get me to the ground and like you've essentially pinned me there.

And then you have to pin him for this to end on his end?

No, no.

I mean, it's going to be, I guess, until he's 18.

No, but I'm saying for this one encounter that then sets off the six-month calendar.

Oh, yeah, I had to pin.

I got him to the ground.

Of course, I won.

Oh, my God.

If he got you, you would have to wait six months and you could challenge him again is what we're doing.

I haven't thought that part out if I'm being honest.

You need to start thinking that out.

Yeah, you need to.

You just go and do sugar tits.

Yeah,

it's coming.

There's going to be a lot more challenging happening.

I don't think that was.

If I were him and he's listening, I would come to the table in the six-month negotiation.

I need a back-to-back because I need to see what you're like, how your body reacts to

Yeah, like you have six months to keep putting it all in.

He's going to show up one day.

He's already taller than me.

He's going to show up one day with a different man.

Not a great feet.

And now you're both going to be at the house with this different guy that he brought in to kick your ass at the house.

So this pin is a three-count.

He's going to bring a champion with him?

He's going to bring a ringer.

This is my champion.

And be like, hey, I'm not the man of the house anyway, so I'm just going to bring somebody else.

And then you have to wait six months for this guy to leave because he brought somebody in to kick your ass does he get the big bedroom like you and your wife have to get into his room then if he like takes no takes the house no but he would just be in charge you know if oh so if he wanted to technically yeah he could get the big yeah i guess so like if you're man of the house you do get to pick your bedroom then he gets to go to chicago by himself yeah how far away is he from beating you like in that last match i don't it was not close percentage wise was it 90 10 95 5

in that area he he got me by the neck to start okay because it was a little bit of a sneak attack.

Okay, he was on my back and he had me by the neck, and it took me about

naked, yeah.

And it took me about

the hooks in or no?

No, that's why that's the thing.

I got to teach Corey, he's got to get the hooks in first, and then you got to get the crease of your elbow right on the chest.

He's a big MMA fan, and then you got to prank back, loves the Arab fighters, loves Arab fighters.

Gotcha.

And so it took me less than 10 seconds to maneuver out of it.

Okay.

And I got into the ground really quick.

Less than 10?

Was it more than six?

I.

That's not like.

I like him.

But I was never in jeopardy of like

blacking out.

Okay.

You know?

Technique issue, though.

Technique issue.

If it took you almost 10 to get out.

No.

He's not that far away.

You can't let him get under your chin.

You got to dig your chin down.

Yeah, I don't think he had.

And you got to.

Yeah.

So to some, he was not close.

Okay.

We'll see.

A couple more months.

He could challenge again.

In the weight room, man.

Maybe get some creatine going.

He does.

He actually goes to the gym.

Yeah.

So we'll see.

Do you have six months of a consistent?

I mean, what a silly question.

This answer.

I mean, look at this.

Again, the sugar is now.

Come on now.

Come on now.

Yeah.

So that's where we're at.

All right.

I'm constantly paying money, and it's because of my older son.

This launch is apparently going pretty well.

Not well, actually.

The opposite of that.

My friends in the group.

Yeah.

Sorry about that.

Wow, that was a rollercoaster.

That was a horrible thing.

Oh, wow.

I don't know what to think right now.

I'm going to be honest with you.

Let's reset.

All right.

You having a stroke?

Are you okay?

I'm still very Chris telling if that story was.

What app are you?

Are we still talking about Spotify?

I think you're talking about ESPN.

ESPN app, okay.

ESPN launches crap.

Oh,

according to my group chat.

Everyone's very...

What's been the issue?

People are trying to go through Disney Plus and it's telling them to go through the other app.

Everybody's a little confused.

People feel like they're paying for it, but

have to troubleshoot exactly where they're going to get what they're paying for.

I had a pretty easy time with it yesterday.

I just, I upgraded my bundle.

I got the ESPN Hulu Disney Plus bundle and I just had to I upgraded it.

It cost me a few extra bucks.

Well, if you already have the bundle

like me.

I haven't even looked yet.

The bundle you have though is ESPN Plus and that is not the same thing they just released.

So you are going to have to upgrade.

That's what I did.

That's what you're going to have to do, Hawk, as well.

I don't, yeah, I don't know.

I work for ESPN.

Well, I do too.

I haven't decided to do the free subscription part.

I'm like,

let's let them settle into whatever's going on, and then I'll check out about the free parts.

I'm not good at using anything we get for free anyway at ESP, and I've never been to Disney World.

And I think we get free entry.

We do.

You never call taking your kids with the passes?

We get free passes.

Let me get those passes.

I mean, let's talk because I don't, I don't.

Wow.

I've never.

We can talk.

You get 50% with the resorts?

Come on.

You got all the information.

I got nothing.

I'm taking it.

And they get like 40% off cruises, too.

Really?

I could be wrong.

You get a percentage off on cruises.

I heard that the Life 360 doesn't really work on the cruises, though.

I heard that too.

Yeah, someone told me that.

It's just like, yeah, I know.

She's on the boat.

She's on the boat.

Where else would she be?

Well, I feel a lot safer now looking at this app.

Folks, listen up.

The Dan Lebetard show with Stugats is sponsored by BetterHelp.

Man, trying to figure out wellness these days, I feel like I'm drowning in advice.

Cold plunges, gratitude journals, screen detoxes.

Hey, it's Jeremy here.

I don't know if you've noticed this about me, but I'm not quite someone who loves confrontation or fighting.

I don't really want to end up in a situation where I need to do so.

For me, simply safe becomes the way I want to protect my home.

Because not only is there like the personal peace of mind of knowing that my security is preventative, it's not just an alarm after an event, I want to make sure that my wife is okay, that my cats are okay, that everything I have in my home is okay.

And knowing that I have to deal with like the stress or the violation of someone potentially breaking into my home and reacting to it versus having the control and safety of proactive prevention is huge for me.

Most security systems only react after a break.

Simply Safe helps stop it before that happens.

Their new active guard outdoor protection uses AI cameras and live agents to spot suspicious activity, speak to intruders, turn on lights, and call the cops before anything goes down.

SimplySafe is offering Lebatard show listeners 50% off a new system with professional monitoring.

Plus, your first month is free.

There's no safe like SimplySafe.

Don Lebatard.

Doesn't matter anywhere.

We could do it in Buffalo or Baltimore, Eva.

You say you could do it where?

anywhere oh whoa no that's crazy that's crazy that's crazy

that's crazy murder murder tell him

stugats i had no idea mean had that in his locker that might be his death that's crazy i'm not kidding

that's crazy killer it's two america's dead you don't get it

this is the dan lebatar show with the stugats

So last night there was preseason football.

Tomorrow college football starts, which is awesome.

All right.

You got a game in Dublin.

We have no more Saturdays without college football.

It's all happening.

Avery Johnson at quarterback.

He's mixed race.

That's right.

Did you know that, Hawk?

No.

Mike had to apologize yesterday.

The point guard?

No, no, no, no, no.

That's where I went to.

That's where it all started.

Kameen was like, wow, Avery Johnson has a kid that's playing quarterback.

And I'm like, no, this kid's white.

As you see by the photo there.

And if you watch him play, he's got the blonde hair.

He's got the blonde hair hanging out the back of the helmet.

Do we have one in his uniform?

So I only watch Kansas State usually on a second TV experience.

Okay.

I never, all I really see is blonde hair hanging out of a helmet and a complexion that would suggest, you know, perhaps a white guy, not white.

Not white.

Mixed race.

Mixed race.

This is his beautiful family.

Yeah.

So just don't make the same mistake I made.

And that's not Avery Johnson's son.

No.

As well.

No.

Because Avery Johnson is like maybe 5-8.

I don't think Kansas State's ever been on anyone's main TV.

Well, tomorrow, it's the only game going on.

Noon, Dublin, Ireland.

So we have my main TV tomorrow.

Top 25 matchup.

Yep.

Who are they playing?

Iowa State.

Okay, Campbell.

Yeah, give it a look, see.

Could there be a less exciting top 25 matchup?

This is pretty good, man.

You don't love ball.

I know that these teams are.

But just on paper, just looking at the two, Kansas State, Iowa State.

You got two good quarters.

Corner.

He gets the juices flowing like Kansas State, Iowa State.

The winner of this game has an inside track to be one of those Big 12 dark horses in the CFP.

And the quarterbacks can make a statement.

Avery Johnson especially can get himself in this Heisman conversation.

You weren't there when Darren Sprols was taking shit yard every time he touched the rock.

Does Iowa State still have that coach or he leave?

He's still there.

He's still there.

Matt Campbell's still there.

Yeah, he actually turned down bigger.

He turns down big jobs.

He's doing this thing

where he's like, I'm on the rise.

I'm picking my job.

And he's going to like, it's going to get to a point.

It's like, I passed all the good jobs.

Now I'm taking a worse job.

it was starting to look that way but then I was aided at a 10-win season last year won the pop target dude he's legit you know where he started coaching at oh yeah but tell Roy okay I'll tell Roy University

he's a Toledo coach

so the point is football's back all right yeah and last night there was even some preseason football action now I would never watch that because my god what a waste of time good game but the new york giants all right they played last night they beat beat the Patriots.

Okay, who cares?

They crushed the Patriots.

And, Mike, you're like all wrapped up in the Giants quarterback situation.

Well, it's a fascinating quarterback room.

I know people are talking about the Cleveland quarterback situation, but in terms of personalities, the interesting one is what's happening in New York right now.

So, who we got here?

You got Russ.

You have Russell Wilson.

You have Tommy DeVito.

Tommy's still there?

Tommy's still there.

Tommy Little.

You have Jameis Winston.

So right there, like, that's three of the most memeable quarterbacks ever.

Yeah, that's good.

That's a Mount Rushmore

of polarizing internet quarterbacks.

And then you have the young hot shot prospect.

Literally.

Yeah, he's hot.

Jackson Dart.

Jackson Dart.

He's got the eye black.

Good looking kid.

Good-looking kid.

Wears a big, hefty chains.

It's a mock neck.

Yeah, it's a mock turtle.

It's like Tommy.

So you got four quarterbacks over there, all kind of popular.

In fact, I'd say the least popular guy is the guy that's on most depth charts is QB1.

The guy that's won the Super Bowl.

Yeah.

The least popular.

But let me give you a little taste of the vibes.

Here's the vibes in this room.

Let's see.

Hey, yo, I'm just saying.

They call us the three amigos, but somebody had to hat trick today.

We turn it up and we get

the young bucks and we EWs with the young bucks.

You know what time it is?

Don't be blue.

We turn it up.

We setting this thing off.

Wait, yeah, they running away.

The three Amigos, the three turkeys.

Oh, I mean, come on.

At one point on the sideline, Jackson Dart was hand-feeding.

Seen them dubs.

Jameis Went a dub.

Look at this video right here.

Is he actually going for a bite?

Oh, thank God.

He faked it.

I was going to say, that'd be good.

Look at the commitment, though.

We're Mr.

Unlimited.

All right, so Jameis, well, three of them played.

All right.

You weren't listening, Billy.

Three of them played.

I know he should be in that room.

He should be in that room.

He can be the vibes.

It was Jameis and them Young Bucks.

All right.

Tommy DeVito was 17 of 20, 198 yards, three touchdowns.

Boy, the Patriots, you playing any defense.

Jackson Dart was 6 of 12, 81 yards, and a touchdown.

Jameis Winston, 4 for 8, 47 yards, a touchdown.

Hawk, do you think he had an interception?

I don't.

He did.

Of course he did.

Come on.

What are we talking about here?

He ran a wrong route.

Here's the funny thing to me.

All right.

Everyone loves Jameis Winston.

He's a very, I don't, you know, I don't want to get into the off-the-field stuff.

All right.

We're talking about on-the-field.

Jeremy here, him in a locker room.

You think your family

you like him?

All right.

I can't get involved.

I can't get involved in the off-the-field stuff.

All right.

But on the field, I mean, in the locker room.

Yeah, you kind of just

started as a bad person.

I don't want to get involved.

I don't want to.

I think we tried to discuss this openly and honestly last time.

Like, you mention it, I guess.

And you do what you can with it.

I mean, he did have another thing that popped up, too,

the Uber.

So, like, you mention it, but, you know, these things are in the past.

Thank you, Mike.

There you go, Jeremy.

By all accounts, though,

Jameis

is a very popular player.

Yes.

We're back.

His teammates love him.

Every team,

this is fourth team.

All right.

He has his first year of the Giants.

You can see they already love him.

All right.

This is fourth team.

His teammates love him.

Fans love him.

You could hear the way we're about to talk about him right now.

He's a very likable player to watch.

He's funny, all right?

And for me, I can't, he is such a unique player because I cannot think of another

first overall pick, especially quarterback.

First overall pick.

If you take a quarterback first overall, it's like one of the biggest moments in your franchise's history, all right?

A quarterback selected first overall, who, by all accounts, was a bust.

Right now, we're all typing in first picks today.

First overall picks.

By all accounts, was a bust.

Okay.

And is still this popular figure.

If you're the number one overall pick and you're supposed to be the face of your franchise and it does not work out,

you would think it's like, all right, man, you know, get out of here.

You were a bust.

Like, you hurt the franchise.

It set them back.

Like, no one wants to hear from you.

Like, what other number one overall pick, even if you want to make a number two overall pick who was a quarterback who it didn't work out with that original team wasn't even signed to a second contract hawk if you're a quarterback number one overall and your team did not sign you to a second contract that is a bust all right you've established ground rules okay baker mayfield

okay

team number one overall draft pick right didn't make it to a second contract right didn't just fail in cleveland even though i would debate the merits of that he won at pittsburgh hawk knows what a big deal that is I mean, the franchise hasn't won a regular season game at Pittsburgh in 21 years.

He won a playoff game.

He won a playoff game there.

He did.

But then he went to Carolina, was running Scout DN over there.

And he was terrible.

Went over to Los Angeles.

Had a moment.

Had a moment there.

Sean McVac.

kind of rebuilt him, and then he took an approve-it deal post-Tom Brady.

No one really expected anything from him.

And then he becomes one of the, according to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, one of their 50 greatest players of all time in franchise history.

That's crazy.

Wow.

Yeah.

Was Jameis on that list?

Curious.

I don't know.

Baker was 38, and you got to think Baker's higher than Jameis.

I would guess Jameis is not on the list.

Yeah.

I don't know.

But I don't...

See, I don't put Baker in that category.

Because you just don't believe him to be a bus.

But the criteria that you outlined is don't make it to a second contract with your team.

You also listed four teams.

Baker's on his fourth team.

Everyone loves Baker now.

Here's the thing, though.

He's not a bus because Cleveland was wrong.

Like, Cleveland was wrong in that spot.

Tampa Bay wasn't wrong.

Jameis.

But it took to the fourth spot for us to realize that Cleveland was wrong.

I don't know if Cleveland was wrong, though.

Man, he wore out his welcome over there.

Cleveland was wrong, especially with who they brought in.

That was wrong.

Well, but also, that guy was really good in Houston.

Like, really, like, definitely better than Baker Mayfield.

Yeah, but he's one of those guys that you stop to mention the off-the-field stuff every time.

And Baker, Baker's biggest sin was that he tried to play hurt.

If Baker decides to shut it down after that upper body injury, I don't think they force him out.

No, Baker had some great

field stuff.

And I think it's like, again, it's not as talked about that, but even Baker has said like he's it, the humbling experience helped him mature to what he is now.

Team wanted him gone too.

The leaders on that team wanted him gone.

Yeah, and that's hard to do for someone who wants a playoff game for you.

So you got to like really think about even what Baker is now, he has matured.

It was never an ability thing.

And I think with some of the players you're talking about,

I kind of agree with you on the Baker side because the second contract didn't come because they didn't think he had ability.

It was like

somebody better.

It was some of the off-the-field stuff that didn't make it worth it to the franchise of like what it was probably felt like in the, in the, in the organization.

So it wasn't like a, you're not as good as we thought you were.

So Baker is debatable, but I have one that I think is the nuts.

Well, let me just add, hold on to that real quick.

You could correlate that with the nuts.

You could correlate that Baker, Winston, that whole deal with Jameis because, hey,

they moved on from Jameis because they had an opportunity for Brady, which was obviously the right move.

Yeah.

But Jameis has had now

six years to try and become a starter again.

And he's very clearly not a starter in this league.

Jim Plunkett.

He was a number one overall draft pick for the New England Patriots.

I'm probably surprising many in our audience that Jim Plunkett was ever anything but a raider.

He flunked out over there.

And then I think Jim Plunkett's a Hall of Famer.

I also want to add the part, though, the popularity plays a role for me.

Yeah, I thought I had a nominee that's a second overall pick, not a quarterback, who feels like a bust, played on a bunch of teams, had a nice career.

The likable part, I don't know, Reggie Bush.

See, that's tough, Hawk, because how much does Reggie Bush bouncing around like that, who was a good player, how much does Reggie Bush bounce, now, was he the guy that they thought they were getting number two overall at a USC who was like the best college football player I'd ever seen at that point?

He was ridiculous.

Were they getting that guy?

Did they get that guy?

No, of course not.

But how much did Reggie Bush bouncing around the way he did have to do with him being, you know, a running back?

I don't call Reggie Bush a bust.

No, I don't either.

No, but he did turn into a bit of a journeyman who was popular.

But that's why I'm asking about his position.

Yeah, that's interesting.

How about this one?

Now, he was a first-round draft pick, but he was a supplemental first-round draft pick.

Now, for those that don't know, you use a supplemental draft pick, you lose that first-rounder for next year.

It's whatever round you use that in, you use the following year's real regular draft pick.

So, Steve Young was a first-round supplemental draft pick by the Tampa Bay Bucks.

Bust with Tampa Bay.

Legend in San Francisco.

Wait, so any year I can just be like, I want an extra first-round pick, I'll give you mine next year?

There's a supplemental draft.

Sometimes people miss deadlines.

Josh Gordon for Cleveland, he led the league in receiving.

He was a supplemental draft pick.

You know, maybe you wanted to graduate, took an extra semester or something, so there's a supplemental draft, you know?

Hey, it's Mike Ryan.

Those sprinklers are starting to slowly come up on the football field.

Time that we have with summer is dwindling.

I'm sure you're already doing that thing where you're going through your photo album, flipping through the photos that you've taken this summer, already reminiscing about the good times that you have.

I know I did.

And in many of the pictures that I went back to reminisce over, I had a beautiful white can of Miller light in my hand because I love making good times during the summer a Miller time.

How you learned that catch phrase

bad news for

opposing teams in the triple lane

Stugats these are smiles

Till the bronze are clutch again

clutch again

clutch again

This is the Dan Levatar Show with the Stugats

Vinny Tester Verdi, another buck bust that is beloved in New York.

Right, see that, okay, that's the part that I'm all so hard on, is the popularity, is the beloved.

Like, Jameis Winston is loved everywhere he goes.

Jimmy T is beloved by New York Jets fans.

Jameis Winston is great, though.

I mean, Jameis Winston is like a rare,

like.

So rare.

It's not because his personality, it's so kid like like what you see look how much those guys loved him in that video he's gonna make a billion dollars when he gets in the media like he's gonna be so high paid you think so oh my gosh man like he's already been doing media stuff i've been around him for maybe a total of six minutes like in my life and i walk away every time like

damn that dude is he's coming to sports media he's not gonna be ready though he's gonna be like we go out to jameis now like doing a hit somewhere like with the people like i'm with you he's gonna be great he's one of those person i don't see him as like instant like when i watch players it's like certain people that i'm like i watch them to say okay when this guy retires should i be worried been an interesting 50 years you know

like when i see cooper cup talk about like receiver play and i'm like damn it oh really he's coming he oh he's on he's on the way

you have more charisma than him though i know but it's like it on the exit i got to see a in a piece like the x's and o's like i know what cooper cup big name super bowl you know i know that they're going to be like man we got to clamor to get him and that's like a competitive, like, damn it, he's coming.

Jameis Winston on the charisma side, I look at him and think the same thing.

Like, ah, damn.

I got another Tampa Bay buck.

Jameis is on his way.

Doug Williams was drafted in the first round, was inconsistent, left for the USFL, ended up winning a Super Bowl with Washington.

What pick was he?

He was a first-round draft pick.

Yeah, number 30?

Like, what pick was he?

Max.

I got one.

Oh,

I might take the cake with this one.

Tim Tebow.

Well, obviously a huge bust, yeah.

But is he beloved?

Not a number one pick.

Is Tim Tebow beloved?

By an NFL franchise?

I mean, he did win a playoff game in Denver.

I know he's going to be beloved in college.

Jameis is beloved by FSU for a few years.

What

franchise is Jameis beloved by?

None.

Like from a football person.

He's beloved by fans.

So your argument for Tebow does kind of stand, but he's beloved because of what he did in college and what he stands for.

Well, but like was Tebow beloved by the locker room when he was with the Jets?

I'd say probably not.

Jameis seems to be loved by every locker room he goes in.

I think they love Tim Tebow.

Yeah.

People who play with Tim love him.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Like love having him around, yeah?

Yeah, yeah.

How about Alex Smith?

He won a playoff game with San Francisco.

Now, you can debate whether or not he made it to a second contract because as a part of a restructure on his rookie deal, they tacked on one year.

And after that one year they tacked on, they let him walk and he went to Kansas City.

But you also have to remember why they let him walk.

They didn't let him walk because they think he stinks.

They let him walk because they thought they had someone better in Khan Kaepernick.

It kind of matters.

And also, I don't know if Kansas City fans feel an affinity towards Alex Smith.

Our definition is tough because it seems as though it's a game rigged just for James Winson.

He's like 36,000 yards in his NFL career.

Yeah, not a bust.

Even Reggie Bush is like 9,000 total yards.

We're just talking about like with that first team.

With that first team, it didn't really pop out.

I got something for you.

The criteria is like you're not brought back by the team that drafted you number one.

You go play several places.

You were supposed to be a foundational piece for the franchise.

And they said, nah, we're done with you.

Jared Goff, number one pick overall.

Yeah.

Was a bust for a long time.

He didn't use a Super Bowl.

No, but he was used to it.

Let's do a Super Bowl.

But then it was his fault that they didn't win.

Got traded for a guy who came in and won a Super Bowl, now beloved by Detroit, got a second contract with Detroit.

They just upgraded.

I think they just upgraded.

He wasn't a bust.

Upgrade's not a bust.

He was, guys, he was terrible.

It's an interesting case study what happened with Jared Goff, but I don't think even Rams fans can call him a bust in that uniform.

He made it to a Super Bowl for them, and and he had some very good seasons.

They just had the opportunity like Tampa Bay had, which is like, let's go get someone that can take us next level.

Hawk?

I don't know.

I see those gears turning over there.

Did he get a second contract?

And he just signed that?

No.

That's what I don't like the definition.

I don't think Gautam didn't

make it.

It might just be a lot of people.

Gawton did make it to a second contract because they had to make the money work out for the Staffords.

He had a huge contract.

Let me see.

He definitely made it to a second contract.

Football is so bad.

But I think we could admit, though, that Thames Winston is a really unique situation, right?

Yeah, I don't think it's unique because of his draft status, though.

Like, maybe that's why we know him.

I think he's unique because of his personality.

I'm not kidding.

I genuinely think Jameis Winston is a one-of-one personality.

Humble enough, and that's why

people love him.

Humble enough to go from being a first overall pick to I'm a team guy.

Whoever, I'll be the third string and I'm the best teammate you got.

Without missing a beat.

Like, it's like there's so many opportunities for toxicity in his toll career, and and he could be pissed.

And like, even how he talks about Tampa Bay with such love and admiration when most guys would be like, F you.

Even if they, like, you know, like, Johnny Manzel curses Cleveland.

Like, you can't break Jameis.

He's going to be nice to you and respectful, like, no matter what you think.

Exactly.

And I think that's what makes him unique.

I have a way from the sport comparison.

It feels to me.

I think you can agree to this.

Hockey, hockey reference.

No.

He's the Ryan Killings of the NFL.

He's our truth.

He's our truth.

Yeah.

Yeah.

All right, give me the look.

I know who that is.

I know who that is.

Of course, I know what that is.

You know the analogy.

But tell Billy.

All right.

He's a big quarter.

And everyone.

So he was slightly a big deal, but he's not a big deal, but everyone still loves him.

But where was he drafted in the WWE draft?

Former NWA champion.

Oh, we're talking about a wrestler.

Oh, gosh.

I was really lost in all that.

Can I just bring it back to hockey for a second?

And just, I want to play a game called

here's a compliment.

Hawk looks great in a hockey jersey.

We saw him like two days ago on McAfee, and he was rocking a hockey jersey.

And we were all in the office saying, Damn, that's a good look.

That hockey jersey.

What sweater was it?

What team?

It was the Charleston Chiefs from Life Slapshot, which was filmed in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, which is my hometown.

I complimented that guy.

We saw Hawk up there, and I was like, Man, that's well lit.

Like, just a good set.

You must be on set somewhere.

Just in his house.

Just bedroom.

Just very impressive.

Bedroom set.

Yep.

Frico, baby.

I don't know if everyone's aware.

All right.

It's the weekend.

I know everyone's aware of that.

After the weekend comes Monday.

Next week is a very big week.

Next week, Sue's.

It's the most prestigious week in sports.

Kind of.

The 2025 Sue Awards presented by Miller Light starting this Monday on the Dan LeBottard show with Stugats and Hawk and Zaszlo.

You guys better tune in because you're in there.

What?

Nice.

You brought it.

You brought it this year.

Both of you.

What are you talking about?

I love it.

I need an award.

Might not be for for a good thing, but you brought it.

That's all that counts, man.

How good is this day next week going to be?

Where it's just, oh, my God, we got the full slate.

Like, we got a little taste of it, Hawk, tomorrow with the college football.

But this time next week, oh, my God.

You got Notre Dame and Miami.

Granted, it's Sunday night, not Saturday, but nonetheless, I mean, next week, whoo, it's a little appetizer, Hawk.

Little appetizer.

Main events next week.

Are you excited about it?

Well, I mean, I look at Mike, and I can only imagine what he's going to be like next Friday leading into Notre Dame and Miami.

A wreck.

No.

No.

Very confident.

Are you juiced right now?

Yeah, I'm very confident.

How are we looking in camp?

Talk to me.

We look great.

Do we?

Yeah, I think 1 through 22 were really, really good.

Yeah.

Wow.

Wow, yeah.

That's your reaction, huh?

What noise was that?

Got excited.

Not as excited as you, bro.

Did you catch my drift?

Beck looks really good.

For the audio audience, that was that falling away.

That wasn't excitement.

That was was

a flaccid mind.

Just completely lost my mind.

It's not Titan.

Real talk, I think we're going to beat the shit out of Notre Dame.

It's going to be like 2017.

I think we're going to beat the shit out of them.

20 to 17.

Is that what you're predicting?

No, it's going to be like 2017.

No.

We'll see.

Miami's presently an underdog.

Notre Dame just named a quarterback that loves to throw interceptions, and they were afraid to lose in the transfer portal.

I think we're deep.

If we stop the run, I think we beat the shit out of them.

Wow.

Where's this at?

Here.

Hard Rock Stadium.

The Rock.

How much do you have to beat someone by to, quote, beat the shit out of them?

I think 31.17 is

the criteria.

14-point lead.

As established by

the 19th century, I made my score prediction for Kane's insider.

I said 38-17.

I feel like he got to win by 17 to call it beating the shit out of the team.

But it's different college and pro.

Like, beating the shit out of a team, it's different depending if it's college or pro.

31.17 in the pro.

That's beating the shit out of him.

And expectations, too.

Remember, Miami is a two-point dog headed into this game.

So, if they win that game by that score,

that is an ass kicking.

I got this being

a three-score game.

So, we'll see what Notre Dame does.

Look, they earned

all sorts of respect last year.

National runner-up, went through big-time programs, and the way they did it was super admirable because they were a mash unit.

They played through injuries, they earned a lot of respect.

They also lost some guys, and they have a quarterback that is starting right now who didn't really win a quarterback battle, was just the guy because they were afraid of losing him to the transfer portal.

That's a big, big deal.

Their quarterback out there is less experience than Emery Williams, Miami's backup.

So I feel really good about

what Miami looks like right now in camp.

I have a great deal of confidence there.

Thankfully, knock on wood, no injuries right now.

They're good along the trenches.

We're much better in the secondary.

If we can stop Jeremiah Love, I think this game can get ugly and that quarterback can get nervy and it could be like 2017 all over it.

Beck look good.

Beck looks really good.

I think Beck had a better fall camp than Cam Ward Ward had last year.

I mean, remember, a year ago this time, we were talking about Carson Beck could be the number one overall pick in the draft.

I remember.

I remember.

He made a couple worldy throws at the practices that I've been to that are just NFL throws.

You know it when you see it.

You know it when you see it.

It's kind of like an ass kicking.

It's like it's not a score.

You know it when you see it.

Will there be a lot of Notre Dame fans there, you think?

If you look at their boards,

they do travel, but they all have TSD from the last time they came down here in 2017 they're talking about Florida being a standard ground state in the message board so they were they're a little scared and look Smetty's not coming I was gonna say is Smetty here Smetty ain't coming

she may never step foot in the state of Florida again we ruined the state for her

Well, she was here for Penn State Notre Dame.

She was.

And she told me she would like that just to be her lasting memory of that stadium.

She does not want to ruin it and come back, which sounds like maybe she's a little bit scourged.

She knows what's coming.
