Speaker 1 Hello beautiful people and welcome to our humble abode, the Thunderdome.

Speaker 1 On this BA day, November 4th, 2025, this program begins right now.

Speaker 1 Football

Speaker 1 is the greatest sport on earth and we're incredibly lucky that on this glorious Tuesday, just like all the other Tuesdays of this season, we are joined by a man who has coached football for 47 years.

Speaker 1 Now he's our coach, ladies and gentlemen, Coach BA.

Speaker 1 Good to see you, Coach. You look fantastic today.
I want to let you know everything is vibing. Everything is going fantastically.
Very unlike the Dallas Cowboys. Oh, nine-year NFL vet, Darius J.

Speaker 1 Bullers. Yes, sir.

Speaker 1 Now, Toxic Table at Boston Conner and at Ty Schmidt. Just like I said earlier when he came in, this is Darius Butler.
Darius Butler is a nine-year NFL vet.

Speaker 1 One of the best brains in the history of football. So incredibly athletic, and we haven't seen him in a while.
Yeah. You know why? What's that? Great dad.
Like great dad.

Speaker 1 Has been since the day that I met him. Most offseasons and summers were spent me following along with his socials with his kids traveling around, driving around.

Speaker 1 And now they're at the age of playing like competitive sports, I do believe. And his daughter, Milan, yes, is competing on the high school golf team.
And last week, you were at a tournament.

Speaker 1 Yesterday you were at a tournament. How's it going? She's a freshman and sounds like she has picked up the Darius Butler incredible athletic jeans.
Yeah,

Speaker 2 she's a dog. She's a worker.
She's a grinder. And I didn't expect her out of any of the kids to be the golfer because she hates being outside.
She hates bugs. She hates sweating.

Speaker 2 But she picked up the game and she's been grinding a little more than a year. And she went as a freshman.

Speaker 2 We know how it is going and getting on like a high school team and actually competing with, especially something that you haven't been doing in a long time. So freshman, competing on the varsity team.

Speaker 2 And then last week was districts. And then this was the regional.
And this is where, you know, the run ended for her freshman season. But she played her best golf against her best competition.

Speaker 2 So, you know know, as a dad that makes you proud to see um see you out there grind especially with golf because it's such a game where it's like very much like a kicker or a snapper hey it's your turn everybody's watching you all eyes on you and i can um you know i can't understand even how rattling that could be especially for like a high school young girl and all those things so to see her battle and go out there and grind and her team a couple of teammates will probably advance the states um but uh it was awesome to be there to see it um you know to break all the rules because as parents you're not supposed to be able to talk you're not supposed to be able to help and i'm like hey you know i can't give away my techniques and how to get my communication.

Speaker 2 You're sending signals? But

Speaker 2 we got some communication down. So when I'm there, her mom is afraid to break the rules.
So it's a little different when I'm there, but it was awesome to be able to watch.

Speaker 2 And obviously, Miss Miss being here as well.

Speaker 1 Now, listen, Florida High School Sports, I know what they did to Teddy Bridgewater. Maybe you need to dump everything.

Speaker 1 D-Buddy's not sending any signals to his daughter while she is golfing as a freshman in the tournaments. But I would like to let you know, we're incredibly pumped for your entire family.

Speaker 1 I assume it was very emotional over there. We saw the clip of her almost chipping in.
That is awesome.

Speaker 1 I mean, that is absolutely incredible. Good luck.
We think sports are a necessity for the development of humans.

Speaker 1 So the fact that your daughter is obviously getting a chance to compete and she's playing her best at the highest level against her best opponents, dog, excited.

Speaker 1 And now she takes that into the offseason. Oh, yeah.
And we only get better and better. Coach B.A.,

Speaker 1 it feels like coaches always say they view their team as like their kids and stuff like that. And you have to kind of act as a father figure for a lot of of people in a lot of different situations.

Speaker 1 Whenever you start seeing guys and their kids start to have success, I couldn't even imagine with guys that have played in the league and then their kids are in the league as well and you're in there.

Speaker 1 You're a massive piece of that entire process and the entire like kind of grand scheme of things.

Speaker 3 Yeah, I never set up myself as a father figure. I was that cool uncle you want to have a drink with.

Speaker 1 Okay, drunk uncle.

Speaker 1 Everybody's got that uncle, you know. Yes, they definitely do.

Speaker 3 And but yeah,

Speaker 3 on the drive range Saturday, Ben Rotherberger's down there with his son, Benjamin.

Speaker 1 Oh, yes.

Speaker 3 That little joker got me good. We gave him a stroke a hole and he shot 77.

Speaker 1 Oh, that kid, okay? Benjamin. Yeah.
Yeah.

Speaker 3 He's won a couple tournaments already. And okay, buddy, I'm getting you next time.

Speaker 1 I think you're putting the drive chip and putt, too. I think he's...

Speaker 3 That's a younger one.

Speaker 1 Yeah, like winning the drive. Yeah, I think Rothesberger's kids are about to be one of those sticks because I guess he is, too, right? Isn't he?

Speaker 3 Oh, he's a legit. Yeah, he's legit.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he's also great at talking about ball. I'm happy as hell that Ben Rothersberger is doing a footballing podcast.
Let's talk a little bit about football. Cardinals, very good last night.

Speaker 1 Cowboys ass. Cowboys immediately make a trade.
Jerry Jones is saying, I'm shitting on one in my back pocket. I got one if I want to make it, if I want to.

Speaker 1 Now, would I rather make a trade for the Dallas Cowboys or hit that hunting hole three miles down where I can get that $100 billion worth of natural gas? Give me B any time of the day.

Speaker 1 But since I can get Logan Wilson here, linebacker from the Cincinnati Bengals to the Dallas Cowboys, let's go ahead and make that move. They do that immediately.
after the loss.

Speaker 1 And, you know, a lot of people are saying, Troy Aikman included, they're going to need to do a lot more than just get one player to make this team good.

Speaker 1 I think there's a lot of question marks on how the hell the Dallas Cowboys are going to kind of react and how they're going to go forward. We all agree that Dak Prescott's a good player.

Speaker 1 I think everybody kind of says that. But that team seemingly never really going to get going.

Speaker 1 Now, and on the flip side, just a few years back, I was calling for Jacoby Brissette to be MVP quarterback, MVP of the entire league here at Indianapolis.

Speaker 1 Since his early days, whenever he was a third-string quarterback for the New England Patriots, He's always been able to get on the field and spin it. He's always been able to lead.

Speaker 1 He seemingly always knows what he's supposed to do in every single offensive system that he's ever been in. Whenever he's with the Colts, he was backing up Andrew Luck at one point.

Speaker 1 He was the one like running the meetings. He is like the guy.
Bill Parcells, I think, Big Tuna kind of influenced him throughout high school and everything like that. Marvin Harrison Jr.

Speaker 1 has a massive day.

Speaker 1 McBride, their weapon at tight end, is scoring a lot of touchdowns now that Jacoby Brissett's the quarterback, as opposed to when Kyler's the quarterback, there's a lot of those stats coming.

Speaker 1 And Gannon's culture seemingly settling in. They lose three games by like, what, two points or something like that.
So their record isn't great. Still got nine games left, obviously, in this season.

Speaker 1 A lot can happen in that. But this Cardinals team might be real.
Hey, don't look now. The Arizona Cardinals might not be ass.

Speaker 1 They might actually be very good football team, especially with Jacobi, a quarterback. Absolutely.

Speaker 2 And Dano said it when he was on the show, like, you know, they're better than their record and their two and five record coming into this game.

Speaker 2 And we all know in the league, we always say, hey, look, you are what your record is. So these games, a lot of times they come down to one drive, either offensively or defensively.

Speaker 2 But Jacob prasek he can run the ship he he is a starting quarterback in this league the offense just looks better uh with him uh under under helm he's he's fighting along the defense they can play well will johnson i thought he made some big-time plays he's been a good rookie i thought he could have got drafted higher coming out of michigan then simons uh the ohio state buckey had that a good rip out at the end of the game but their physical team gannin's culture is coming along you see he how he dealt with the the off-the-field thing with the running back i think he took ownership this team is going the right way that's a tough tough division.

Speaker 2 It's a tough division. Very, very, very good division.
So we'll see how far they can go this season. But they have weapons on the outside.
Marvin Harrison Jr. came along.

Speaker 2 McBride is one of the best tight ends in the National Football League. So yeah, they can roll.

Speaker 1 Yeah, they can definitely roll. And speaking of that, here's some Hembo stats.
Least time trailing this season. Seahawks

Speaker 1 about an hour. So, you know, Cardinals, R30.
So Packers, R50. Rams, R56.
And look at the records versus the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 That's why everybody was so like kind of excited to see if they could put it together. Jacoby is their quarterback.
They certainly look like they're a real team.

Speaker 1 And then on the other side, Cowboys, just are they ever going to be able to get it right. B.A., what's your takeaway from last night?

Speaker 1 Is it more about the Cardinals, more about the Cowboys in your eyes?

Speaker 3 I thought it was more about the Cardinals. They've been so close.
And, you know, talked to some people out there last week. We did an interview.
I said, just make a damn play.

Speaker 3 All they need is one guy to make. They lost, what, three games on a field goal in the last play of the game in their division, which is maybe one of the toughest divisions.
And

Speaker 3 I think with Jacoby Prissette, he's calmed them down, and their defense is playing lights out. Yeah, I think the Cardinals can really make a move.

Speaker 1 Yeah, why not the Cardinals? And congrats to Bidwell, man. Yeah, unbelievable.
Just a couple years ago, and I mean, even your record now, so I don't even want to act like life is great right now.

Speaker 1 It certainly can't be, but just a couple years back, they were getting F minus, F minus, F minus, F minus, F minus, F on everything in the building. Okay.

Speaker 1 Team was still able to win somehow and still able to be good whenever B.A. was there and a couple different eras.
But then they were just like, We pay a quarterback. We put a clause in there.

Speaker 1 They can't play video games a certain amount of time. It's like, okay, whoa, what's going on here? And then, you know, they're in a division that's very good.

Speaker 1 And then they would win some games and then inevitably lose a lot more games. And it's like, it felt like they were potentially going to be in just a spin cycle.

Speaker 1 We got a BS or no BS with BA later that's going to maybe answer that question. Like, what does he think ownership and what does he think the Cardinals are going to do going forward?

Speaker 1 Because the stats are getting lied. Yeah.
Okay. Stats are getting loud.
Look at them both. Losing records.
Uh-oh. Uh-oh.
Losing records. Both of them got it.
But points per game, 25.7 versus 18.8.

Speaker 1 That's a touchdown, brother.

Speaker 1 That's a full touchdown in yards per game. Go ahead and put that math together, too.
That's about seven. You got some full football field.

Speaker 1 So if it's a touchback, you're scoring a touchdown there. That's another touchdown right there in yards per game.
So Jacoby Brissett has certainly looked good with the Arizona Cardinals.

Speaker 1 They have a losing record. Who knows what they are going forward? What we do know is today,

Speaker 1 it's trade deadline day. That's right.

Speaker 1 4 p.m. today, teams have an opportunity to say, we are a good team.
We want to be a great team. Let's go get the one missing piece.

Speaker 1 Most recently, Jacoby Myers traded from the Raiders to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Congrats to the Jacksonville Jaguars making moves here at the trade deadline to try to make their team even better.

Speaker 1 That has to feel good if you are a Jacksonville Jaguars fan. Jacoby Myers,

Speaker 1 coming from the Raiders, Brian Thomas Jr., number one wide receiver dealing with a little bit of an injury. Travis Hunter, obviously another wide receiver for their team currently on IR.

Speaker 1 So Jacksonville Jaguars were a little bit light in the wide receiver department. They try to make a play.
Adam Schefter broke that news. I believe he'll be joining us here in a minute.

Speaker 1 Ladies and gentlemen, senior NFL insider at ESPN, Adam Schefter.

Speaker 1 Scheffty, thank you for joining us. This is kind of going to be the thing today.
We will just cold FaceTime you as the trades come through your Twitter account.

Speaker 1 Tell us about the Jacobi Myers trade and how, did everybody know Jacoby was on the market?

Speaker 4 Well, he had asked for a trade earlier in the season, Pat, and the Raiders Raiders knew that he was on an expiring contract, set to expire after this year.

Speaker 4 So when Jacksonville stepped up and offered a fourth and sixth-drive pick, it makes sense for a Raiders team that's going to want draft capital to go out and move him for that particular turn.

Speaker 4 Jacksonville headed into today with 13 draft picks. Even after this move and trading their one to Cleveland last April, they still have 11 draft picks in the 2026 NFL draft.

Speaker 4 And so Jacksonville wanted to show up the wide receiver position. We've got Travis Hunter on IR with a knee injury.
He's out definitely at least three more weeks, quite possibly longer.

Speaker 4 And then you also have Brian Thomas, their wide receiver. He's up with a low-grade, high-angle screen on Sunday.

Speaker 4 Now, he thinks he might be able to play this week, but you don't know, and they want to do everything they can.

Speaker 1 Hey, you're covering the speaker. You're covering the speaker, I think.
You're covering the speaker.

Speaker 4 I'm trying to figure out what's best, the speaker or the average.

Speaker 1 We'd like to be able to hear you. You can't cover.
You're covering the speaker, I think, again, right now.

Speaker 1 You've got to leave the speaker open so we can hear the voice go into it. You were kind of cutting into it.

Speaker 1 You were talking about the injuries around Jacksonville there, whenever you kind of cut apart. Jacoby Myers,

Speaker 1 good fill-in for them for that particular department. And Jacoby Myers, you said ask for a trade.
Were there more people interested, more teams interested? And

Speaker 1 how indicative is that of the rest of the day for some of the teams that maybe didn't get Jacoby Myers?

Speaker 4 Well, the one team that also called on him, how do I get myself in the picture? Here we go. The one team

Speaker 4 was Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh expressed some interest in Jacoby Myers, but obviously Jacksonville really stepped up to get something done here.

Speaker 4 Those are the two teams, I think, that really

Speaker 4 wanted to add Myers to their roster. I know Buffalo's been mentioned, but Buffalo did not check in on Jacoby Myers, to my understanding.
They were interested in other players.

Speaker 4 Jacksonville, like I said, Travis Hunter out with the knee injury. Brian Thomas Jr.
has a low-grade high-ankle sprain. He thinks he can play Sunday, so we'll see how that works out for them.

Speaker 4 But they want to give Trevor Lawrence as many weapons as possible.

Speaker 4 This team in position to make the playoffs. So they add Jacoby Myers today.

Speaker 1 You're the man. We appreciate you.
We'll follow along with your Twitter account as trade deadline looms three hours and 48 minutes from now. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm Chef Derek.

Speaker 1 Hey, hey, hey, hey, Darry. It's about to be 47, I guess.
That was a really good hit by Adam Shaffter. Oh, one of the best.
But that's what trade trade deadline day is.

Speaker 1 We have no idea what's going to happen. I assume there's some things that are about to come out of left field, even for Adam Schefter, because any trade is possible.

Speaker 1 Yesterday, we put this graphic up about the potential trade candidates. Jacoby Myers is on there and the possible buyers.
We had Jacksonville Jaguars on there.

Speaker 1 So, I mean, if you put more than half the league on there and you're going to hit, we did. So, I'm pretty proud about that.
Way to go, Debone, Debone piecing some things together.

Speaker 1 Any trade being possible is fascinating.

Speaker 1 B.A., whenever you're a coach and you know your team's team's close and you see your team make a play and like trade for a player, how do you go about handling introducing guy to team?

Speaker 1 For instance, Christian McCaffrey was traded from the Panthers to the 49ers at the trade deadline, middle of the season. 49ers, pretty good team.
Okay, pretty good team.

Speaker 1 Christian McCaffrey gets there. Kyle Shanahan comes out very openly and says, hey, this is Christian McCaffrey's team.
We're going to give him the ball in the backfield.

Speaker 1 We're going to throw it to him. We're going to let him throw the ball.
They do that immediately.

Speaker 1 If you get one of these weapons, what is it like for a coach trying to make sure that person feels comfortable while also not maybe ruffling any feathers with the locker room that you currently have?

Speaker 3 Yeah, and most of the time it's because of injuries, you know, and you got a good football team. You got a chance maybe to get into the dance.
So one guy can make the difference.

Speaker 3 And you really don't have to say much. The guys are excited.

Speaker 3 Hey, they're pumped. We made a move.
Coach believes in us. We think we can win this thing.
One missing piece, embrace this guy. Let's get him going in our system right away.

Speaker 3 Let him fill our culture right away.

Speaker 1 And let's roll. Did you guys make any big trades? I mean, obviously, the Pittsburgh Steelers weren't really known for doing that during the trade deadline whenever you were there.
Colts, we traded.

Speaker 1 Were you here for the Trent Richardson trade? No.

Speaker 1 That was

Speaker 1 Trent Richardson, good guy. Trent Richardson was nice to me.

Speaker 1 Jim Ursa was tweeting. Okay, rest in peace.
Love Jim. Okay, Jim's right here.
Miss you, Jim.

Speaker 1 We do. Daughters are kicking a lot of ass.
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 The big three are kicking ass right now, obviously. So there's none of that, but we do miss.
Jim was tweeting leading up to that trade about like

Speaker 1 earth-shattering trade coming. And we're like, holy hell, got a pretty good team here.
I'm excited to see what we do. Gonna change football.
He's tweeting. He's hyping this up.

Speaker 1 And this never really happened with the Colts. And then all of a sudden, it's Trent Richardson for a first round.
We give up a first round pick for Trent Richardson.

Speaker 1 I think Boom Heron was our running back at the time. He was doing boom.
Boom was actually, the crowd was starting to say boom. Like there was, he was starting to like catch on a gimmick.

Speaker 1 Like Boom was actually becoming like a guy. And then all of a sudden we trade for Trent Richardson.

Speaker 1 Everybody's like, okay all right we're gonna get trend richardson here okay okay there's gonna be a thing and then it felt like the coaches felt obligated to like force feed him if that makes sense like that that it was almost like uh okay he's worth a number one i think we had a mod bradshaw too they no bradshaw came after we met vic ballard yes i don't know if he had started his run yet but he was drafted in that same luck draft class but yeah trend richardson was what the third pick in that same draft yeah yeah it was it was a big here's the tweet uh bruce found it from jim ursay serious trade winds swirling we're we're talking giving up hot pick for serious vet slash

Speaker 1 slash starter these deals often crumble and don't reach completion these sites like he was selling he had like four of them he was like really talking about how big it was coming so we were kind of excited like we were pretty i was very excited i'm like who's This is incredible.

Speaker 1 I can't wait to see who my new teammate is. And then Trid Richardson comes in and he was like, Trent was cool.
Trent was nice.

Speaker 1 I don't know if he felt as comfortable with coming into our locker room as maybe other places. I think, you know, it was like an interesting time.

Speaker 1 He told a story about that, actually.

Speaker 6 Trenton Richardson did about how that's kind of like when he lost his love for football, was when he was traded from Cleveland to Indy because he just always assumed like, I'm always going to be a Cleveland Brown.

Speaker 6 I was a top five pick. Like, this is my home, just like Alabama.
And he said that's when he realized, you know, the NFL is a business versus what he was used to.

Speaker 1 He didn't get a bit jaded or whatever. Yeah,

Speaker 1 we don't watch anymore. But you would hope that the spin is like, well, this team loves you so much that she come there.
And I don't know how those conversations went or whatever.

Speaker 1 But obviously with Jim Mercy tweeting about it, it was going to be big. But yeah,

Speaker 1 you could sense that that kind of was. And, you know, he was, once again, Trent was always cool to me.
I felt like we had a good relationship, but it went how it went here.

Speaker 1 And we had a very, we had a good team. Like we had a good team in how we were rolling there.
But I remember thinking to myself, it would be so sweet if we did get like a game record. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Like Randy Moss gets tricked, you know, in the middle of the season. Everybody in New England,

Speaker 1 we got Randy Moss. Like that type of move could happen today for an entire team, an entire building, an entire fan base.

Speaker 1 The Titans traded edge rusher Draymont Jones to the Ravens for a conditional fifth round pick per sources. Now, congratulations to the Ravens making a play.

Speaker 1 Coach B.A., what are your thoughts on edge rusher Draymont Jones going from the Titans who, you know, we all kind of see it.

Speaker 1 We all kind of see what's happening with them this year, although we believe Cam Ward's a guy. They've already fired their coach.
They're in the the middle of a transition era.

Speaker 1 And then the Baltimore Ravens are trying to go on a run here late. What do you think the addition of Draymond does for the Baltimore Ravens?

Speaker 3 I think it's huge because their pass rusher has been inept at best. And this guy can rush a passer.
And he's going to be able to use Kyle Van Noy different ways.

Speaker 3 He could play so many multiple spots. And you get him on the edge, maybe Kyle rushing on the weakest link.
in the offensive line.

Speaker 3 I think they'll do a hell of a job with him, and he's going to to be a big upgrade for them.

Speaker 1 Here's the Ravens edge rusher stats from Hembo here this season for the ins and outs on linebackers. 39 pressures, that's fewest.
Six sacks, that's 28th out of 32. 19 quarterback hits, that's 27.

Speaker 1 Everybody's talking about how that defense is. Well, whenever you can't get to the quarterback and whenever you can't apply any pressure at all, it's going to be hard to do anything else.

Speaker 1 You know, you look at the defenses that are good, they're front four, very good. The teams that aren't good on defense, normally front four, not that good.

Speaker 1 Usually have to steal or rob Peter to pay Paul. Whenever you're front four on Crate, you got to take somebody from somewhere else and kind of shore that up before anything else.

Speaker 1 Whenever you take somebody from somewhere else, guess what's missing now? Something from somewhere else.

Speaker 1 So whenever you talk about the best defenses, getting your trenches figured out is the most important part of it all.

Speaker 6 Yeah, and it feels like you can't have too many pass rushers or offensive linemen.

Speaker 6 Like no matter what, when it comes to the playoffs, there's always a team that's there that, you know, is banged up on O-line or pass rusher.

Speaker 6 And it seems to be the Achilles heel for a lot of playoff teams once they get there. Like, they traded one of their guys,

Speaker 6 Owe Adafe, Baltimore did, to the Chargers. So it kind of feels like a replacement there.

Speaker 6 But, I mean, this is one of those dudes who, as a Patriots fan who played Tennessee, he was one of their standout players for sure.

Speaker 1 He's a sick necklace, too. I like the boxing and the swag.
We'll fit in that Baltimore locker room, I do believe. Deebuts, your thoughts.

Speaker 2 I'm right there with you. It always starts with up front.
You saw yesterday when the Eagles traded for Jalen Phillips.

Speaker 2 Like, when they went on that run and getting Brandon Graham back, that'll help too. But when they went on that run, it started with those guys up front.

Speaker 2 Whenever you can rush forward and create havoc in that backfield for in the run game and in the pass game, it helps the DBs out tremendously. So that's always a big boost.

Speaker 1 It said conditional fifth-rounder. We're getting more details.

Speaker 1 Albert Breer says: the condition on the Ravens Titans trade: if Draymond Jones has at least two sacks over the rest of the regular season and Baltimore makes the playoffs, Tennessee gets a fourth-round pick rather than a fifth-round pick.

Speaker 1 These are all part of negotiations.

Speaker 1 Well, if he's really good for you guys and you guys turn it around, you guys are on 500 minutes. We'll turn her into a fourth rounder.

Speaker 1 Deal. Let's go ahead and make that happen.
Now, if they're ass and they don't lose and don't make the playoffs, obviously the Baltimore Ravens have an easier deal than the Tennessee Titans.

Speaker 1 Now, are the Ravens going to be able to go on a run? That is the question. Are the Cardinals going to be able to go on a run? That is the question.
And are the Dallas Cowboys dead? Okay.

Speaker 1 Dallas Cowboys bring in Mr. Wilson at linebacker.
Who is their linebacking core currently there for Dallas?

Speaker 2 Kenneth Murray has been their middle linebacker, came over from the Chargers, former Oklahoma Sooner.

Speaker 2 He can run, he's a sideline. The sideline guy can be a little light in the ass at times.
You know, you can struggle downhill.

Speaker 2 Overshown, I think his window opened up for him to get back healthy and get back in the lineup for them as well. But Logan Wilson, he's a good player.
Now, he fell out of good grace in Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 We don't know what really went on behind closed doors. Maybe you wanted some younger players, maybe some different players in the system.

Speaker 2 But he was the guy for Lou Anno Romo's defense for that run, the AFC championship run. And over the last five and a half years, he leads all middle linebackers.

Speaker 2 With you see it right here on on this Shefty tweet with 11 interceptions. So he can get his hands on the ball, make plays.
Smart guy can get guys lined up.

Speaker 2 I'm sure he won't have a problem picking up this defense. Obviously, he won't fix everything in Dallas.
It'll be a group effort. But yeah, he's a good player to add to your core.

Speaker 1 Are they dead, Donner? In Dallas? You know, Jerry's coming out and saying, hey, you can call me Jerry Kardashian.

Speaker 1 You know, because I'm not scared. Just make sure we're the topic of conversation.
Now, does that necessarily mean we can't win games?

Speaker 1 No, I'm not not saying that, but I'm going to make sure we are certainly in the middle of controversy, if needs be. You're going to be talking about my team.

Speaker 1 Now, the entire conversation following that is like, Jerry's telling the truth now.

Speaker 1 Jerry's at the stage of life where he's just going to go ahead and, let me go ahead and give you guys my actual feelings and my actual thoughts.

Speaker 1 Did the documentary on the red carpet of the documentary? He said, I'll stir some shit up.

Speaker 1 Don't you worry about that. Now he follows up even more with Stephen A.

Speaker 1 Yesterday saying, you know, I'm always at a, we're always a topic of conversation. Even if we're not, guess what? We're about to be because it's something I'm about to do.

Speaker 1 That's the business that you're in, Mr. Stephen A.
And that's also the business that I'm in, Mr. Stephen A.
Is that conducive to winning NFL games where everybody says it's already hard enough?

Speaker 1 You know, they talk about distractions. Players get labeled a distraction.
Players get labeled a distraction. This person, distraction.
Don't let them in your locker room. Get him out of the league.

Speaker 1 What he brings is too much. Jerry Jones is actually coming out saying, I am a distraction.

Speaker 1 A very, very, very, very, very expensive distraction at all times. Is it a bad thing that Jerry thinks this way?

Speaker 1 Or do you think it's okay as long as the football side of it is kind of separated from the state, if that makes sense?

Speaker 3 Yeah, I think everybody in Dallas is used to it. You know, that show's been going on for a long time and they're used to the drama and everything.

Speaker 3 Yeah, as long as they're talking about us, good or bad, as long as they're talking about us, we're good.

Speaker 1 Is that good for football?

Speaker 3 I think so, but it's not necessarily good for their football team.

Speaker 3 Logan Wilson,

Speaker 3 two years ago, Logan Wilson, hell of a trade. This Logan Wilson, I'm not sure he even helps.

Speaker 1 Well, Jerry is the GM. So you think Jerry maybe has lost his fastball here as the general manager, speaking so openly about being a distraction to his own team that I guess he owns as well?

Speaker 1 Owner, Jerry, might be getting in the way of managing Jerry by the shit that the owner wants to, you know, because I think GMs and coaches might have disagreements with the owners. Okay.

Speaker 1 Miss Blackburn over there in Cincinnati said these players just got to take the deals. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay. So then the GM, Duke Togeman is probably like, why are we, that is not the right thing to say.
There's always disagreements, I think, for sure between GMs and owners because of something.

Speaker 1 You know, that's just the most recent one that pops in my mind. Right now, I wonder if GM Jerry ever sits down and goes, God, this owner, Jerry.
What the hell is he doing? He cannot help us.

Speaker 1 He cannot help us. He's in the way all the time.
And I think Dallas Cowboys fans are saying the same thing.

Speaker 1 And I think my favorite part of it all, this entire evolution of how people view Jerry Jones as the general manager of the Dallas Cowboys. I I think we all agree that he's not doing that, right?

Speaker 1 We know that that's just a fictitious title. Is that what we're saying? I think he has owner saying stuff, but he's not doing day-to-day GM stuff.

Speaker 1 No, Stephen Jones is doing the phone calls every single day. I assume his family's taking,

Speaker 1 he was standing on a honey hole

Speaker 1 three miles underneath his cowboy boots that he was wearing, talking to Wall Street turn.

Speaker 1 You think I care about the Dallas defense? I'm standing above $100 billion. I need to get my pipes three miles deep here because nobody else's pops can get that deep.
I'm spending $1 billion on

Speaker 1 this rig that will turn into a mammal that'll

Speaker 1 and cough this natural gas out at a hundred billion dollar rate. So it's like, I think he's got other people doing the day-to-day shit.
And then owner Jerry comes in and says, I'm not paying Micah.

Speaker 1 Me and Micah already have a deal. Now the GM, especially with a deal with Micah, would have to consult with the owner anyways.

Speaker 1 So I think he's having the same say that most owners have, where if they don't want something to happen, it's not going to happen. If they want something to happen, it's going to happen.

Speaker 7 but i think the day-to-day shit's moved on from him in my eyes just from outside looking in well and if you just look at it like based on all the stuff you just said and then you know whether it's right or not or true i guess you read the tea leaves and they're talking about like well dallas is interested in bradley chubby like there are all these people around the league all these players that they're allegedly calling about and trying to help sure up the defense like if that is true then like Jerry, if he is the acting GM, like he would have to be in his office on phone calls exactly all the time.

Speaker 7 And I think you talk about the Parsons stuff. I think that might have been like the breaking point.

Speaker 7 Like, it melted something in his brain because he just like this guy was supposed to wear the star his entire career. We had a handshake deal.

Speaker 7 He was going to be, you know, the captain of our defense moving on. Because, like, even now, I mean,

Speaker 7 how far removed from that are we? And he's talking with Stephen A. And it's just like it still comes back.
That's that, I think we have the clip of what he said about it.

Speaker 1 At one time,

Speaker 1 not even in the hottest of days and two days in August in Texas between

Speaker 1 11 in the morning or when they quit practicing or 4 in the afternoon it's hot did I never see any one of these two

Speaker 1 go over and lay on a damn training table in front of a million people

Speaker 1 This is not fair. Micah's not here.
I'm going to tell you something. I really think a lot of Micah Parsons.
And it wasn't a question of wanting him on the team,

Speaker 1 but to anoint him

Speaker 1 in terms of that and everybody else looking at him.

Speaker 1 You better have some thinking. Is he going to be a made man for the Dallas Cowboys? I see this guy laying over the training table.
Well, what the hell is his problem? Stand up down there.

Speaker 1 I ain't never seen these men

Speaker 1 made cowboys. Okay, you think of the cowboys.
Who do you think? Fucking Michael Irving.

Speaker 1 Okay, you think he's laying over a training table? Yeah, right. He's on all fours on the side.

Speaker 1 Whatever. He's not even playing.
That is who he is. You think about Emmett Smith? You think Emmett Smith is ever laying down with a million? He said, with a million people with their eyes on the star.

Speaker 1 They're watching our brand. And we got our guy laid over a table.
He ain't going to be a May Cowboy, never in my mind.

Speaker 1 And so maybe it was made up throughout certain different decisions or certain different happenings. Or maybe Jerry found all these things looking back once he felt disrespected by Michael.

Speaker 1 Yeah, this guy,

Speaker 1 I knew he wasn't a good guy. What What did he do? And then his kid goes, remember he laid a training table.

Speaker 1 I do remember that. That was it.
What did he do? He also didn't throw his shit away. Yep.
Left his towel in the back. Yep.
I remember. So Jerry, I think, was collecting info to justify.

Speaker 1 I'm right about this, right? And then maybe now he feels even more vindicated. But to your note about like, maybe it broke him, maybe it just like kind of exposed him.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Maybe, maybe it just kind of exposed who he is at this stage

Speaker 1 of everything.

Speaker 2 It's on the players for me because we talk about, we talked to Big Mike, and we spent that time with him in the draft, and we asked him about, you know, how was it in Dallas and how was it dealing with Jerry?

Speaker 2 Because everybody kind of wants to know that.

Speaker 2 He's like, it's not really a problem because when you're in that line, when you're in the locker room, when you're on the field, like we watched the game last night. Dallas had plenty opportunities.

Speaker 2 Like even late in the game, they had an opportunity to make a run down there. Javante Williams fumbles the ball.
We had Ferguson fumble the ball.

Speaker 2 Pickens with a penalty that, you know, maybe insignificant, but in that moment where everything counts, the Aubrey, like, you had all these different opportunities from the team from the guys on the team whether it's players I wouldn't even put on the coaches I think the coaches put him in good position Deron Bland he got paid a bunch of money which he earned he had a terrible game last night so yeah we can sit here and say it's the Jerry shit but when you he has drafted well whoever's running the show if it's Steven if it's Jerry he has drafted well the decision to pay who you pay trade Michael Parsons that's you know that's a big decision we'll see how that plays out you know one of the best pass rushers in the league in his prime we'll see how he pays out but I mean those players had plenty of opportunity kind of all season long.

Speaker 2 And last game, the defense has been shitty all year long. But the offense, I feel like they could have put up 34 and outscored that team if they needed to.
So, yeah, I'm putting it.

Speaker 2 I know Jerry can be your talking point, but I'm still putting it on the players out there.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I agree. Might be hard to focus, though.
You know, Miami Dolphins have a lot of things to battle when it comes to focus and attention on stuff.

Speaker 1 Dallas has a lot of distractions to go away. You got to get the right guys in there, I think.
The Dallas Cowboys currently have the right guys? We shall see.

Speaker 1 Here's a stat, though, about their defense.

Speaker 1 Arizona won 7 of 13 on third down last night. Cowboys' opponents are 61 of 116 on third down this season.
That is the worst rate, 53%, by any defense in the last 40 years.

Speaker 1 So that's money, Don, is what they call it. And guess what? They're broke.

Speaker 1 There ain't no money down there in Dallas except for in that honey hole that's three miles deep that Jerry Jones is trying to get access to.

Speaker 7 Yeah, and there was another stat that came out that said, like, if you take all of the starting quarterbacks they've played this year so far, I believe they've thrown like 22 touchdowns, four interceptions.

Speaker 7 Their passer rating is ridiculous. Yeah, here we go.

Speaker 1 112.3.

Speaker 8 112.

Speaker 7 It was the second highest in the NFL. So essentially, like

Speaker 1 they're...

Speaker 7 The opposing quarterback is putting up like an MVP performance against their defense weekend week.

Speaker 1 Jacoby, Bo Nicks, Jaden Daniels, Marcus Mariota, Bryce Young, Justin Fields, Jordan Love, Caleb Williams, Russell Wilson, Jalen Hurts. Names not seen on there.

Speaker 1 Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Danny Dimes this year. Aaron Rutt, you name it.
There isn't really any of the... Not a murder's row.
It's not there yet. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Now, all these guys, potentially Hall of Famers. Without a doubt.
Okay, let's not even dive into it. Coach, whenever, okay, let's go.
I guess this.

Speaker 1 Let's go to, ladies and gentlemen, it's perfect time for one of our favorite segments that we've ever had. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for BS or no BS with B.A.

Speaker 1 We talk about these quarterbacks. We talk about about these quarterbacks.
Let's talk about two quarterbacks in Arizona.

Speaker 1 You know, there's some people saying out there, Jacoby Prissett will be the Cardinals' starting quarterback over Kyler Murray for the rest of the season. Is that BS?

Speaker 1 If he's healthy, is that BS or no BS, B.A.?

Speaker 3 Oh, that's BS.

Speaker 1 Oh, I think what?

Speaker 3 Too many dollars involved in this one. And

Speaker 3 the ownership.

Speaker 3 They've had Kyler for seven years. They gave him a big, big bat of money.
He's coming back. As soon as he's healthy, he's going to be back in there.
There's no doubt. Jacoby is carrying him.

Speaker 3 They're playing better with him, but they will not make that move.

Speaker 1 Okay, so you think this will be a contractually obligated move to put Kyler back on the field, and Gannon ain't going to have enough josh to go in there and say, nah, this is what I want to do for the good of the team.

Speaker 3 Totally. This is going to be a top decision.
Put him back in. Now, if he fails, When we put him back in and he fails, maybe we'll go back to Jacobi.

Speaker 3 But Kyler's starting when he's healthy, I promise you.

Speaker 1 Well, maybe Kyler's gotten better from watching Jacoby here debut, but I think a lot of people are saying, this feels like Gannon and the boys are riding with Jacoby.

Speaker 1 And BA's like, well, it doesn't matter. Yeah, because there's a check that's heading to the other guy that is going to certainly be want to be seen on the field.
That's a tough decision.

Speaker 2 Yeah, and it certainly makes sense. Some of those decisions are kind of out of our pay grade in the locker room.

Speaker 2 But being in that locker room, when you see how the offense is rolling, how it's moving with Jacoby under center running the show, I'm sure offensive players for sure, but even the whole team, defensive players, special teams, it's just different.

Speaker 2 And that's just their first win with him under the helm. But yeah, it'll be a big decision as far as keeping that locker room together.

Speaker 2 But with all that money, just like the conversation with Brock Purdy and Mac Jones, Mac Jones has been playing well, spending it.

Speaker 2 But when you got all that guaranteed money to Brock Purdy, you assume when he comes back and he's fully healthy, he'll take over. But, I mean, we'll see because

Speaker 2 it looked damn good.

Speaker 1 Yes, he did. And it's also like,

Speaker 1 and I don't want to compare it to our situation because it is vastly different.

Speaker 1 Kyler's been paid a significant amount of money, but it's like Anthony Richardson had so much upside, still has so much upside. Excited to see how it all goes, wherever it goes.

Speaker 1 Hopefully for us, he ends up being a starting quarterback somewhere else. And Danny Dime's our quarterback for 10 years.
And everything we're doing right now happens until I'm 48 years old.

Speaker 1 That is what the goal is here. But it's like the entire offense is much more comfortable whenever they know that the quarterback understands the entire offense.

Speaker 1 So like whenever the guy who is kind of making the decisions and setting everybody up and ultimately making, you know,

Speaker 1 the play to work or not work, when that person has a understanding of everything, I feel like everybody buys in a lot more.

Speaker 1 Like Danny Dimes, just knowing exactly what every play is supposed to be and putting everybody in the right position, I think that inspired and motivated Jonathan Taylor.

Speaker 1 I think Jonathan Taylor knew he was coming into a season where he was going to be put in the best position basically every single play.

Speaker 1 I think the offensive line was was inspired coming into the season that they know that the guy behind them is going to be on the same page as them and also put them in the best position possible.

Speaker 1 And then the wide receivers, I think they came into the year knowing, hey, if I'm open, this guy is going to get me the ball and he's not going to miss me by 15, 16 yards.

Speaker 1 I think just whenever you have somebody that can execute the offense, kind of make sure everything's right for the offense, I think it's more so than just on the field.

Speaker 1 I think off the field motivates me, to your point. And the staff too.

Speaker 1 Yeah, even the coaches, I guess, that's a lot better for you guys whenever the quarterback is like a coach on the field as opposed to somebody that maybe isn't there yet in the full understanding of what's supposed to happen every play.

Speaker 3 Yeah, I think that might have been Kyler four years ago. But I mean, he took them to those close games.
They didn't finish. Yeah.
They didn't finish. You got to finish in this league.

Speaker 3 And like I always say, the last two minutes of the half, last two minutes of the game, 76% of the games were decided then. All right.

Speaker 1 It sounds like you're not giving up on Kyler either. Sounds like you think ownership is going to go in, but you haven't given up.
Sounds like a lot of other people have given up on Kyler.

Speaker 1 I have not paid close enough attention to Arizona, but it feels like the conversation going into last night's game was very much like Arizona's kind of

Speaker 1 done with the whole is Kyler a guy or not a guy conversation.

Speaker 1 You're saying that conversation is not over, brother, because you spell conversation there with a dollar sign on that S right in the middle. And that's that's the most important part.

Speaker 1 Two dollar signs.

Speaker 1 Conversation

Speaker 1 is happening. Okay, let's go to the next BS or no BSBA.

Speaker 6 Yeah, BA, there's a lot of good divisions. But for the first time in NFL history, all four teams in the NFC North will make the playoffs.
Is that BS or no BSBA?

Speaker 1 I think that's no BS. Whoa!

Speaker 1 History will be made.

Speaker 3 I think Chicago is playing extremely well. Their schedule sets up.
Minnesota is the team. Now, JJ's back.
They had a big win over Detroit.

Speaker 3 It's going to come down when you look at the tiebreakers from the West and the North.

Speaker 3 And right now, the Rams are in second place, but they lose every tiebreaker because they've lost so many conference games.

Speaker 3 And so this is going to be really fun all the way to the, and the Rams have a hell of a schedule left. I mean, it's tough.
So I think there's a great chance that all the teams in the North make it.

Speaker 1 How do you feel about that, Ty? It'll be the first time ever. And they would say, you know, it's NFC North.
They're saying you're fodder's fodder's NFC North. Oh, no.
This is a powerhouse.

Speaker 1 The North is coming. Could you imagine Wild Card weekend with that many NFC North squads out there battling?

Speaker 7 Yeah, I mean, that is the, I mean, if you're a team in the NFC North, I don't love the idea of having to play a divisional game in, you know, the first round of the playoffs.

Speaker 7 Like that just, you know, a team that knows what you want to do. And, you know, I mean, who knows, but we'll see.
I mean, there's a chance to, like, you guys have talked about it.

Speaker 7 Like, I think this year especially has really illuminated the fact that if you have a good team and you make a big, you know, stride year over year and you did finish last in your division the previous year, like that schedule does set up for you very well.

Speaker 7 You know, you look at who the Lions and the Packers have to play, you know, in these non-division or non-conference games compared to who like the Bears and the Vikings have to play.

Speaker 7 Like it's, I guess not the Vikings, they were in second place last year, but the Bears especially, it's like they are much better than they were last year, and they have that light schedule where if they can keep going, like they might win, you know, 11, 12 games.

Speaker 1 So you're saying they're better than last year? So you're saying they're good, better, and then there's a chance best?

Speaker 7 I don't want to see the best, but they are definitely better than they were last year. Leaps and bounds better.

Speaker 1 Well, they're never going to let it rest. I know.
Nope. Until good is better.
Yeah, and a better is best. And there's a chance they're on that way, brother.
I know.

Speaker 1 Caleb and BJ, Ben Johnson, really getting things going up there. Let's go to the last BS or no BS with B.A.
here. Go ahead, D.
Oh, this is a nice one. This is concise.

Speaker 2 All right.

Speaker 2 I don't care that the Chiefs are in the middle of the dynasty. I don't care that Jim Harbaugh is the head coach of the Chargers.
I don't care that Tom Brady owns the Raiders.

Speaker 2 The Broncos are the best team in the AFC West. Is that BS BS or no BS?

Speaker 3 That is total no BS, baby.

Speaker 1 Oh, what? Oh, what?

Speaker 3 It took me a while, but I'm a Bo Nicks fan now. But this defense is legit.
You win championships with defense and a really solid quarterback. The running game with J.K.

Speaker 3 Dobbins, Cortland Sutton, Bo Nicks, Bo Nicks with his legs, getting 40, 50 yards a game. I really like where the Broncos are.

Speaker 3 And again, this division is a tough one. The Chargers have a little bit of a lead as far as division games, but I think the Broncos have the defense to go win this thing.

Speaker 1 I love Sean Payton too. We're all Sean Payton fans, and he loves Bo Knicks.
They've only continued to get better and better. They were Super Bowl darlings by a lot of people going into the season.

Speaker 1 Nice to see them 7-2 and really doing damage. They have a couple...
tough losses, too. You know,

Speaker 1 there are two losses. Good team.
Come to some very, very, very good teams. So I like that you're saying they're the best in the AFC West.
Another great division over there at least has a chance to.

Speaker 1 Okay, let's get to your game balls. BA's game balls.
Let's start in the NFC. He picks one game ball for one player representing the entire NFC.
It goes to who, BA?

Speaker 3 And the NFC is Sam Darnold.

Speaker 1 Adam back to Sam A.

Speaker 3 That crushed that first half, 14 of 14, four touchdowns. I mean, that game was over quick.

Speaker 1 Great, great game. How do you feel about him having an opportunity with the Vikings last year, leading them to a number two overall seed in the NFC? Didn't play his best games late.

Speaker 1 They sent him out of of town. J.J.
McCarthy's our guy might work out for them certainly in the long run. I like the cut of JJ's jib for sure.
But he goes up to Seattle.

Speaker 1 They got a great defense with McDonald and offensively Jackson Smith and Jigba wants to be the best wide receiver in the league. Has a chance to certainly be that.
And Sam slices and dices.

Speaker 1 What a perfect fit for him at this stage of his career, it feels like.

Speaker 3 It really is. JSN and him have a connection that's really special.
And, you know, they got other weapons too, but that defense is legit. And I really like where Seattle is right now.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that uniform's awesome, too. All right, let's go to your AFC game ball.
Once again, he is picking one player from the entire AFC that deserves a game ball. Go ahead, coach.

Speaker 3 In the history of, we talked about last week. Anytime your name goes with in the history of Cam Little, 68-yard field goal, winning points in the game.

Speaker 1 Great kick, man. Yeah, it was a great kick.
It was historic. And we actually got a chance to catch up with Cam Little this morning.

Speaker 1 Ladies and gentlemen, the man who holds the longest field goal in the history of the NFL, and it's not even his longest that he is kicked in an NFL-sanctioned game.

Speaker 1 Ladies and gentlemen, 68-yard bomber from the Jacksonville Jaguars and Wu Pig Suey. Ladies and gentlemen, Game Little.

Speaker 9 Pleasure to be on the show. I'm excited, man.

Speaker 1 Always wanted to be on the show.

Speaker 1 Pig

Speaker 1 Sui Sui. There it is.
Yeah, we always get it wrong. Yeah, we try our best, Cam.
Thank you for joining us. And you said you've always wanted to be on the show.

Speaker 1 I, since watching you kick a ball, has always been, I have always been very fascinated by how you create so much leg speed. So let's just, let's dive into this.

Speaker 1 I don't think you're like the most jacked guy. I don't think you're the most.

Speaker 9 No, that's a very fair statement. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Little's your last name. I don't think you're tiny, but you're certainly not one of these massive guys.
Have you always had an incredibly strong leg?

Speaker 1 Like in soccer, whenever you were growing up, were you always the free kick taker?

Speaker 9 Always had a strong leg and how did you get to this point yes i think that's where i kind of first started i was always good at taking free kicks um and penalty kicks and all that stuff kind of tied into me learning how to kick a football and obviously um going to college camps growing up i never really had the fastest leg and i developed a little later um in my high school career when i was going to these camps i saw guys that had faster legs than me and i would always ask him like how are you guys getting your legs faster like because at the end of the day that's what gets you the most power on the ball um and so you know started developing a faster leg.

Speaker 9 And now it's like my best trade as a kicker because obviously I'm a six foot one, 175 pound guy that cannot squat a huge amount.

Speaker 9 So everyone always asked me, well, what, how do you kick the ball so far? I think ball contact and leg speed is the key to kicking the ball so far and high.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you're hitting the ball sweet. Every time you're hitting that ball sweet, which is not easy.
You know, Vinatari, I was very lucky to work alongside.

Speaker 1 Obviously, everybody in the kicking world knows Adam Vinatari.

Speaker 1 Vinny, whenever I got there, you know, I used to be a kicker in college and I had a strong leg, but I I had no idea where the ball was going.

Speaker 1 So his big thing was like, hey, you cannot sacrifice the sweet spot. So if you have to swing 85% to hit the sweet spot, do that.
If you have to swing 75% to hit the sweet spot, to do that.

Speaker 1 Now, granted, if you can swing hundo and hit the sweet spot, that is where the magic, that is where the magic comes in. And that's where the Cam Littles of the world come in, I do believe.

Speaker 1 This generation of kickers bombing it further than ever. You had a 70-yarder in preseason against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Everybody loses their mind. They're like, holy hell.

Speaker 1 And then obviously the conversations about Aubrey in Dallas.

Speaker 1 You hitting that 68-yarder now against the Raiders because of the 70-yarder, were you confident walking out there this was going to be a make?

Speaker 1 Like that obviously has to be the mindset, but 68 is so, you're so much closer to the other uprights than the ones that you're kicking to. What is the mentality as you're walking out there, Cam?

Speaker 9 Yeah, I mean, you kind of go out there and Logan, obviously, Logan and Ross both do a great job of prepping me for this stuff.

Speaker 9 Logan always thinks I hit the ball the best when I'm swinging the hardest. And so I told him right as I was going out there to spot it, I said, I'm swinging hard at this football.

Speaker 9 I'm making sure that I'm going to drill this thing. And so, you know, I spot the ball and I'm looking down at the spot and I tell him that.
And he's like, hit that ball hard, boy.

Speaker 9 Hit it hard and obviously stayed left middle and just stuck dead straight down that left middle the whole time. And, you know, you go out there and you prep so much.

Speaker 9 from deep and practice and you know you're working with your op for fun back there at 60 plus sometimes and then for it to finally come to fruition again was so cool yeah in a real game too, they won't give you credit for that 70-yarder, you know.

Speaker 1 They won't give you credit, we will, obviously, because we've seen it before, but 68 in the history books forever, brother, at least for the time being.

Speaker 1 Now, talking about hitting that 68-yarder, last night there was an op. Go ahead, Tone.

Speaker 8 Yeah, Cam.

Speaker 8 I don't know if you were watching that game at all or not, but when Aubrey goes back to 68, and we had mentioned it yesterday on the show, we were like, oh, the 68, you know, this could get broken this season.

Speaker 8 Aubrey's going tonight, and then he steps back to 68. Is he one of the guys, like, when you go back and you're like, oh no, like, is he going to do it tonight?

Speaker 1 What? Ladies and gentlemen, we have breaking news.

Speaker 1 Cam's full interview will be available on YouTube and all the other social media platforms.

Speaker 1 The Jets are trading Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts because the Colts need secondary help, and the Jets is the Jets. Sauce, welcome the town, brother.
Wow.

Speaker 1 Okay, this defense that Lou Anarumo runs, Debut. What will Sauce Gardner be able to do in this defense as you put your ears back on?

Speaker 1 Shout out to Cam Little for joining this full conversation with him. It will be available elsewhere.
Sauce Gardner, you're gonna love Indianapolis. You're gonna love this place.
We're gonna love you.

Speaker 1 Lou Annarumo's defense with Sauce Gardner. What does this mean?

Speaker 2 I mean, with everything that Lou does, as far as all the different things that he throws at offenses, when you have a chess piece like Sauce who could just go up and lock down a guy on either side of the field who can lock up a number one receiver.

Speaker 2 I mean, it's going to be tremendous.

Speaker 2 I'm blown away by this trade just because of the amount of money that we've invested in the secondary already this offseason, bringing over Cam Bynum, paying Mooney, all pro Mooney.

Speaker 2 And now you have two, what, $25, $30 million cornerbacks on each side of the field when Mooney's healthy. So, I mean, this is unbelievable.

Speaker 2 This is completely different than what Chris Ballard has done in the past.

Speaker 2 But this is another sign that the big three, they're all in and they want to win the championship and they want to win it now.

Speaker 1 Okay, so I sent a text this morning to the building, okay? And our source says,

Speaker 1 told us, I want to read the exact quote here.

Speaker 1 I said,

Speaker 1 you guys cooking today, question mark. Response I got was, buckle up, okay?

Speaker 1 So there was a chance that this was going to be exciting. Now, NFL free agency deadline is always

Speaker 1 a lot of, a lot of, ah, sizzle, okay, a lot of sizzle.

Speaker 1 No steak yeah there's a lot of talk talk talk talk talk talk talk but when push comes to shove to actually make the decision to send an all-pro out of the building and let somebody else reap the benefits of that that's a huge push comes to shove moment that has to happen the jets moving on from sauce what does this mean for the new york jets who's paid him legit Legit and Aaron Glenn, defensive coach.

Speaker 1 Corner, former corner. Yeah, so I am very famous.
Coach B.A., what is your thoughts on why the Jets would make this move with Sauce, especially after they they just paid him and what do we think is

Speaker 1 let's not even project what's in return because we will always be surprised by what is going on uh culture trading two first-round picks

Speaker 1 holy

Speaker 1 wait a minute

Speaker 1 the hell well sauce that's sauce i'm punctured i am punctured here sauce Two first-round picks for a corner is so now we got our answer on why the Jets moved on. Yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 Now we got our answer for why the Jets moved on. Two first-round picks to the Jets for a corner And Sauce goes, listen, Sauce, we're going to love you here.
Okay.

Speaker 1 We are very, very, and now the way you start looking at this, if you're the Colts, is our team is going to be a mature team. Okay.
All of a sudden, we got guys at basically every single spot.

Speaker 1 Our offensive line, pretty much locked down, and we got them for a while. Wide receivers, we got a few years with all of them.
On the defensive side, we signed a bunch of guys to a bunch of deals.

Speaker 1 We got people locked up for a while. So I guess you would look at the draft as a potential chance to supplement somebody.

Speaker 1 But really the way it's being viewed here clearly is like, we don't need the draft right now. We got guys.
We got a team that can go.

Speaker 1 So let's add a piece that is elite to a defense that has to get better for us to go where we want to go in the Super Bowl. Two first rounders feels like a lot.

Speaker 1 Senior NFL insider for ESPN, ladies and gentlemen, Shefty joins us.

Speaker 1 Shefty, good reporting, brother. We appreciate that.
Two first rounders for Sauce Gardner. Was everybody or anybody else in the market for Sauce or was it just the Colts?

Speaker 1 And did they have to get up two ones because that's what the Jets needed to let him out of the building?

Speaker 4 We got Rasheed Jaheed getting traded right now, too. That just came down.
Hold on one second. So, where?

Speaker 4 Hold on one second. Hold on.
Hold on.

Speaker 1 I got tweeted.

Speaker 4 We're going nuts here right now.

Speaker 1 Okay, hold on.

Speaker 4 So, shoot, Rasheed,

Speaker 4 Sauce Gardner, two first-round picks.

Speaker 1 We'll call you back. We'll call you back.
Do your thing. Do your thing.
We'll call you back. We'll call you back.
Great job. We'll call you back.
We appreciate you, Shefty.

Speaker 1 Locko all here in the back of the minivan. Okay, not a a lot of service.
Love that. Two ones, Coach Field.
What is this message that's kind of being sent, you think, by Doug Gardner?

Speaker 3 Great move for the Colts. The two ones are going to be from like 26 to 32.

Speaker 1 Yeah, exactly. Like,

Speaker 3 Sauce Gardner, he's worth this.

Speaker 3 To put your defense out there like this, I think it's a fantastic move by Chris Ballard and the big three. And again, that locker room is going to be jacked up coming to practice.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I think so. And Sauce's vibes feel like should be great in our Indianapolis locker room, I think.
Established Established culture.

Speaker 1 And you talk about there's basically early second rounders here. Two of them, though.
Two twos for Sauce is still a massive trade. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 If that's how you're going to view it, even though they're going to be late first, probably 32nd couple times. Exactly.

Speaker 1 If I had to guess with the way this Colts team, let's look at standings right now. Yeah, Colts are winning the Super Bowl.
So they got the 30-second pick for the next couple years. Way to go, Jets.

Speaker 1 Yeah, right. We pick up all pro Sauce Gardner.
He's going to be all over the place. Do you think anybody else was in the market for Sauce? Did people know Sauce was on there?

Speaker 7 Or do you think this was a targeted attack from chris ballard we'll offer up two ones there's no way they'll be able to turn that down they're in the middle of a shit storm they're trying to build this whole thing over we take on a contract and they get two ones this be an easy sell we can get them or do you think maybe sauce was on the market a little bit and chris ballard caught wind and said wait a second i love some sauce out here in indianapolis i don't think anyone thought he was on the market like this is why today can be awesome because we we hear all these names and it's you know like it's guys like it guys that you know aren't moving the needle like Sauce Gardner is, but you look at everything, like a lot of times, you know, someone knows something, but I hadn't seen, you know, the Jets have been talked about a bunch in terms of who they might be willing to give away, Jermaine Johnson, Brees Hall, guys like that.

Speaker 7 Sauce Gardner, you just assume, especially with the Aaron Glenn connection, him being a cornerback, like you assume that this guy was going to be a pillar of their defense for the next 10 years.

Speaker 7 So, no, I think this is just a situation where Boward looked at him. He said, you know what? I really like this guy, and I want him.

Speaker 1 And the big three said,

Speaker 1 I'm about to, Carly,

Speaker 1 writing her notes down, I'm about sick of watching this defense. Yeah, it's going right now.
We got a lot of injuries out there as well.

Speaker 1 So I, to your point about the big three, they're taking on a big contract. I mean, that's, that's more money out the door.

Speaker 1 So you got Carly, Kalen, and Casey saying, let's go try to win this Super Bowl here.

Speaker 7 Early leaders of the trade deadline by a wide, wide, wide margin.

Speaker 1 Are they best owners in sports?

Speaker 1 Are they best owners in sports all of a sudden? I'm starting to wonder.

Speaker 2 This is crazy. And the two first-round picks, obviously, that's crazy.
I don't care if they're late first-round. Those are still two first-round picks.
In this climate, that's insane.

Speaker 2 But it also lets you know, in my opinion, how confident they are in Daniel Jones going forward. Because now I for 1,000% expect Daniel Jones to probably sign an extension before this season is over.

Speaker 2 Because obviously, this is going to be our quarterback of the future. We finally found this guy.

Speaker 2 And then going forward, so my mind is still blown because of the moves that they already made this offseason.

Speaker 2 But to B.A.'s point, Sauce is the the person that can come in the building and completely shift that needle on the defense.

Speaker 2 Because if you looked at our defense, the one thing we are missing is kind of like that elite closer on the front end.

Speaker 1 And ladies and gentlemen, joining us live from a chaotic car ride. Adam Schefter is back.
Shafty.

Speaker 1 Oh, he's on. Yo, what's going on, guys? Okay, who are you? Who are you, Curtis?

Speaker 1 I love this.

Speaker 4 There's a lot of coming. There's more coming.
There's more coming. Okay, we'll call you back.

Speaker 1 We'll call you back. We'll call you back.
We'll call you back.

Speaker 1 Yes.

Speaker 1 What's going on? Yeah.

Speaker 1 No, that's not ball. Yeah, I don't know.
Yeah. There's more coming.
Like, ladies and gentlemen, Rashid Shaheed traded to the Seahawks from the same

Speaker 1 coach BA, obviously down there in the NFC South. You've seen Rasheed Shaheed

Speaker 1 down a sideline, catching a deep ball. Your thoughts on this move for the Seahawks? Sam Darno gets another weapon for that offense that has been spectacular.

Speaker 3 Yeah, but JSN, and this guy, this guy is a game record, boy.

Speaker 3 He's a touchdown waiting to happen.

Speaker 3 Maybe the fastest guy in the league play speed right now are you and uh more than just a receiver he's on reversers and just get the ball in this kid's hand he's electric let's talk about schneider up there in seattle

Speaker 1 yeah this is quite uh remember Us included, said, what's this guy doing? He kicks Pete Carroll out of the building. Pete Carroll, by the way, still has his fastball.
One for two.

Speaker 1 Could have kicked an extra point. Would have tied the game.
One for two for the good of football to try to win it. They end up losing it.
That's another L. They got a lot of those.

Speaker 1 People are thinking they're going to be unloading. Jacoby Myers out the door already this morning.
So I don't want to talk about that decision for them not being the right one.

Speaker 1 Obviously, the Seattle Seahawks people feel great about the decision to move on from P. Carroll, move on from DK, move on from Ty, move on from Geno, move on from that entire era.

Speaker 1 We're going to paint the fucking walls, actually. Paint the walls.
Okay, we're moving on from all of this. We got a defense coordinator from Baltimore.
He's going to come in here.

Speaker 1 We're going to change this entire culture. I think we all said, what an idiot.
This guy.

Speaker 1 This is dumb to be able to do this. But what we're seeing is a completely different version of the Seahawks.
This team does not look like the teams of the past.

Speaker 1 This team is its own iteration of the Seattle Seahawks team. They're electrifying to watch.
This is only going to help. Rasheed Shaheed is so fast.
So good. I don't.

Speaker 1 Speed kills matchups is what every person in the NFL says. Every phase, special teams, defense, offense.
If you have speed, can't coach it, first of all. Okay, you either got it or you don't.

Speaker 1 And you can have all the plans in the world for somebody. And if they just run around you and by you, there ain't shit you can do about it.
And And this is one of those types of guys.

Speaker 1 And now Sam Darnold, who's having an MVP year, has him on the opposite side of him somehow of JSN.

Speaker 2 So now you're going to a very good quarterback, but even the play caller. Kubiak was in New Orleans a couple seasons ago.
Was that last season?

Speaker 2 We were all putting him in the Super Bowl after that first, you know, four-game start that they had. And he was a big Rasheed Shaheed was a huge part of that.
And you talked about playing for him.

Speaker 2 Like he's not going to be a guy that you're actually going to be able to game playing for as a defense because you got a double team JSN. And then Horton has been coming along.

Speaker 2 He's making, I I think he just had two touchdowns on Sunday night for him.

Speaker 2 And then now you've got Rashid Shaheed, who's kind of going to be that forgotten guy who can take the top off any defense on any given down.

Speaker 2 So, yeah, this is another element and another sign of a team that's all in to go and win the championship this year.

Speaker 6 Yeah, and for both those teams that are clearly not all in, like, now with the Jets, kind of all eyes turned to Garrett Wilson and Jermaine Johnson.

Speaker 6 Like, if Sauce Gardner's getting moved, even though they just paid him, you assume Garrett Wilson might because he's also going to fetch multiple first-round picks, possibly, you know, more than that, too.

Speaker 6 And then for the Saints, it's Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara.

Speaker 6 Like, it feels as though Shahid was also in this kind of list, but there are all these other big names on both of these teams still that are available.

Speaker 1 Sauce, welcome to the city, man. Welcome.

Speaker 7 God. He's a Midwest guy, too, so he should fit right in.

Speaker 1 Yeah, he is, isn't he? Oh, Detroit. Yeah, Detroit.
Detroit.

Speaker 1 New York, it's been real. Big heart.
See you later. Going to go try Win Super Bowl in Indianapolis real quick.
Man. Sauce, I can't wait for you to come out in the loud house, buddy.

Speaker 1 That place is going to go crazy. Oh,

Speaker 1 Indiana, Midwest, with the name Sauce, the amount of marketing. Oh,

Speaker 1 welcome to the city, Sauce.

Speaker 2 He kind of got a pay raise, too.

Speaker 1 Going from

Speaker 1 taxes.

Speaker 1 And once you buy everything out here, oh, so much.

Speaker 1 Sauce, you're about to live like a fucking king. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Congrats to you, dude. We're great to, it's very great to have you.

Speaker 1 Hello, beautiful people, and welcome back to our Humble the Boat. That's underneath.
On this BA Day, November 4th, 2025, our tour of the program begins right now.

Speaker 1 Football!

Speaker 1 There's a lot going on.

Speaker 1 That cadence was from a man who is a coach in football for 47 years. BA was here.
We predicted.

Speaker 1 Coach won through BS or no BS with BA in the first hour and gave out his game balls. Congrats to Sam Dartold in the NFC and Cam Little in the AFC went in BA's game balls for the week.

Speaker 1 Nine-year NFL vet, Darius J. Butler is here.
Great to see you back, man.

Speaker 1 Talks to Tables here at Boston Connor and Anti-Schmidt. Boys, wild trade deadline day.
Wow. Unreal.
It's a wild trade deadline day.

Speaker 1 Now, you know, Sauce Gardner is the main event, the marquee, the headline of this particular trade deadline day. And where is the New York Jet going?

Speaker 1 Well, obviously, Indianapolis, Indiana, because the Indianapolis Colts are all in. Chris Ballard makes a move with the New York Jets for Sauce Gardner with two first-round draft picks.

Speaker 1 Now, the Colts are thinking those draft picks are going to be obviously late in the first round, probably 32nd. And also A.D.
Mitchell, I am being told. Oh, wow.
A.D. Mitchell also sent to New York.

Speaker 1 So we give up two ones, late ones, maybe the 32nd pick both those times. And also A.D.

Speaker 1 Mitchell, who's a wide receiver that has not been getting on the field for the last three, four weeks since the Rams game.

Speaker 1 In the Rams game, obviously we saw the ball get dropped at a half-yard line and then also a holding call away for the thing that called back another touchdown. We should have beat the Rams.

Speaker 1 We lose to the Rams. A lot of people say it's because A.D.
Mitchell, Jay Glazer. Scoopage.

Speaker 1 Jay Glazer's back in the game. He is.
He doesn't like to do the day-to-day. No, he doesn't.
But every once in a while, he'll drop in on a Sunday and say, hey, here's some scoopage.

Speaker 1 And then here on trade deadline day, Jay Glazer has some scoopage. That's crazy.
Yeah, you kidding me? I mean, any of the New York teams? A.G. Mitchell, Yeah.

Speaker 1 Stay tuned. More scoopage coming.
Really? Is there a lot on the way?

Speaker 7 Well, I mean, I'm not so sure the Jets aren't going to trade everybody.

Speaker 1 Did you think South Garden was going to get traded today? I did not two-first in A.D. Mitchell.
That's a lot of hits. Well, it makes sense.
A.D.

Speaker 1 Mitchell, that basically paves the way for they are going to trade Garrett Wilson now.

Speaker 6 I mean, you know, A.D.

Speaker 1 Mitchell, Garrett Wilson. It's kind of like the same thing.
6-7? Exactly. Well said.
Well said.

Speaker 1 So, yeah,

Speaker 1 stay tuned. I mean, I know Sheffield, you know, well,

Speaker 1 I don't know how I'm going to shoehorn

Speaker 1 in there after he already did it. But Scheffner was basically in a foxhole, you know, taking mortar rounds and 50 cow bullets.
So, yeah, stay tuned. More scoopage coming.

Speaker 1 Okay, Shefty was on two phones. He puts the tweet out.
Colts receive corner Sauce Gardner. The Jets receive next year and the year after his first round picks and wide receiver AD.
Wow.

Speaker 1 That's a lot, man.

Speaker 1 Can't wait to have you here at Indy Sauce. Listen.
I love this. We don't need drafts, draft picks.
Okay. We already got our team.

Speaker 1 Now, immediate follow-up how much money do we owe Sauce Gardner well it's like 600 and something thousand for the rest of this particular season and then it's 26.1 million for the next five years so you know because of what the jets already picked up out of his 131 and a half million dollar contract we owe him twenty six point one mil for the next five years and then only six hundred and twenty five thousand for the rest of this year now darth and taylor needs a new deal and danny dimes certainly needs a quarterback deal coach ba we're spending a lot of money we feel like we can go on a run.

Speaker 1 We give up. I mean, two first-rounders is a huge deal, plus a player, A.D.
Mitchell. I don't think A.D.
was going to, a fresh start for A.D. was really good.

Speaker 1 And

Speaker 2 let's not forget what happened right before that fumble. Like, that is what A.D.
Mitchell was supposed to be.

Speaker 1 He is a talented.

Speaker 2 talented dude. Made some bonehead decisions, obviously, but he is a very, let's see, a second-round pick? We watched him play in the college playoff.
Talented player, fresh start.

Speaker 2 I don't think the Jets are are going to move him for Garrett Wilson, but who knows? Just pay him. I think this,

Speaker 1 though.

Speaker 2 It's like them going all in for it, stacking up draft capital to go and get a quarterback to throw to Garrett Wilson to A.D. Mitchell and whoever else do they keep there, but we'll see.

Speaker 1 Coach B.A. We got Danny Dimes that needs to get paid.
Let's assume we pay him. Jonathan Taylor needs to get paid.
Let's assume we pay him. We've already paid Pittman.

Speaker 1 Alec Pierce is coming up on a contract on the defensive side. DeForest Buckner, we've paid.
I think Quentin Nelson offensive line, we've paid.

Speaker 1 You got Moody, we've paid. Cam Bynum, we've paid.
Zaire, we've paid. Perfect Ryman.

Speaker 1 We've paid a lot of guys. Feels like now is the window, right? This is officially the window where the Colts are expecting to win a Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 Coming into the season, nobody outside of the Indianapolis Colts locker room and a few select Colts fans thought that they could win a Super Bowl this year.

Speaker 1 I think the Colts thought that they had a very good roster, just needed a quarterback. They get Danny Dimes as their quarterback.
They're not paying him a lot of money.

Speaker 1 They decide to really make some plays to go all in here. What are your thoughts on what the Colts are doing in roster construction? And can they win a Super Bowl this year?

Speaker 3 I don't think there's any doubt. They've got to stay healthy, obviously, but bringing sauce in solidifies that back end.

Speaker 3 And like I said, you get the other kid healthy, but now you don't have to pay two first-round picks. So you're saving money.

Speaker 1 Interesting.

Speaker 1 You're saving money.

Speaker 3 You can always put it on the back end.

Speaker 3 There's ways to massage that thing, the salary cap. It's going to go up again.
So to me, spend it now. When you got a chance to win, you go win.

Speaker 1 All right.

Speaker 3 Let's don't wait for the future.

Speaker 1 You guys did that in Tampa pretty good, I think.

Speaker 3 Hey, let's go get it, and we got it. And

Speaker 3 Jason Light does such a great job. We haven't lost much because Baker Mayfield came in and saved us like Danny Diamonds has.
And so it's the same thing.

Speaker 1 Okay. Well, hopefully we have the same outcome as you guys going all in.

Speaker 1 And I think if you were one of those Colts fans before the season that voted, I have no optimism in this team, I do wonder how you feel on this particular day because we just get beat by the Steelers pretty good.

Speaker 1 I mean, we got beat by the Steelers pretty good. That was only a seven-point game.
It's going to hammer

Speaker 1 Don's AP tone. That was only a seven-point game, obviously.
We all watched that.

Speaker 1 But the Colts here, are they acknowledging a mistake, you think, against the Pittsburgh Steelers or what their faults are?

Speaker 1 And what do you take from this move from the New York Jets moving on from Sauce Park? It was a close game.

Speaker 8 It was a seven-point game. Great comeback by the Colts.

Speaker 8 I wouldn't say, I don't think the the secondary was an issue versus the Steelers because that was more of a turnover issue, offensive issue for the Colts in that game.

Speaker 8 But throughout that game, all that JJ Watt was talking about was how great the offense was, but the defense gives up a bunch of yards.

Speaker 8 That has kind of been the Achilles heel so far, even though it hasn't bit them yet. I think they were like 26 in yards or something like that, but they weren't giving up points.

Speaker 8 So adding sauce is obviously going to help with that. And that is a huge move for Chris Ballard.

Speaker 8 Now, he's been there for a long time wouldn't say he was on a hot seat because they're having a great season he was a hot seat probably before the season but this is a a move to you know go for the super bowl that was promised to us to this decade yeah i think you know and also Jim Ursay is obviously in the thoughts and the minds of everybody over there.

Speaker 1 And they're like, you know what? It feels like we got a special season. Let's go ahead.
What would Jim? Let's go for it. Let's go for it, Pards.
And I appreciate them doing that.

Speaker 1 Trade compensation has come in for the Rashid Shaheed trade. Seahawks are sending a fourth and fifth rounder to the Saints for Rashid Shaheed.

Speaker 1 That is normally the type of compensation that we're used to seeing on trade deadline day. Fourth and fifth rounder, fourth and sixth rounder.

Speaker 1 Two ones and a player is not normal for trade deadline day. But here we are.
The NFL is doing it again.

Speaker 1 I do wonder if there was a memo sent out like, hey, we're fresh off of, remember, our worst Sunday that we've ever had last week. Worst in 55 years.
Let's make sure we don't do that again.

Speaker 1 And also trade deadline. Let's get spicy here.
Yeah. What if the NFL said, we're sick of the talk? It's more walk.
Let's do this. It feels like the Jets and Colts did that.

Speaker 1 And then, you know, Schefter says, there's more on the way. What will that be? What do you think Schefter's alluding to?

Speaker 6 I mean, it feels like a lot of the biggest names that were coming into the day, expecting to be traded, haven't even been traded yet. Like, now I actually do believe

Speaker 6 Jalen Waddell will get traded. I didn't think Jalen Waddell was going to get traded until this Sauce Gardner came through.
And the cool part about Sauce Gardner, probably making history.

Speaker 6 He's going to be the first player to to play in London and Germany in a five-week span, right?

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah. Kind of sweet.

Speaker 1 How will that work? He'll join the team this week. I doubt he'll play this week.

Speaker 7 Meet him in Berlin.

Speaker 1 I mean, it's the middle of season. Yeah.

Speaker 1 How's that work, D-Bud? I think he'll play this week. Yesterday.
Let's say you give up two firsts. He's playing.
He's got three practices.

Speaker 3 He's getting three practices, man. He's got enough.

Speaker 2 But he missed.

Speaker 3 He played a lot of dude coverage. You got that dude.

Speaker 1 Okay, I like that. We need that.
What's that? I think he missed.

Speaker 2 Didn't he? Him and Garrett Wilson missed last game with some type of injury. So I think if

Speaker 2 we're giving up this,

Speaker 6 he's got a bum knee. It's not a big deal.

Speaker 1 Not a big injury.

Speaker 2 We wouldn't be giving up two first for him. Look, I trust the big three.
But yeah, I anticipate him to play this week.

Speaker 1 Me too. Okay, so he'll be in Germany this weekend, hopefully, for the Indianapolis Colts defense.
And what if we just don't give up a touchdown ever again?

Speaker 1 It's likely.

Speaker 1 Very likely. That we don't give up a touchdown?

Speaker 1 I don't know how anybody scores on us now.

Speaker 1 And I don't know how anybody stops us.

Speaker 1 Pretty good combo. Yeah, it is.
Isn't it? That is a good combo. And sure, the Steelers had four, six turnovers, five of them.
What was that about? Against...

Speaker 2 What's that? What was that about?

Speaker 1 Like, where did that defense? That's a good team. 2005 Super Bowl was...
They were in the building. Yeah, I legitimately,

Speaker 1 when I saw the photo of Bill, Ben, Aaron, Tomlin, I go, wait a minute. Bill was at practice.
So they're letting Bill Cower talk to these guys?

Speaker 1 I don't necessarily love anything about that because we've listened to Bill talk. Okay.
And he is a Jinser.

Speaker 1 So whenever you talk about what a Steeler is, it's like he literally grew up in it and is it and represented it and won a Super Bowl for it.

Speaker 1 So Bill Cower and his chin are like the depiction of what a Jenser Steeler is. Okay.
So him being back in the building, Ben Rothesberger, longest tenured Pittsburgh Steeler.

Speaker 1 Then you talk about everybody that was on the field that won a Super Bowl and the guys that hung around.

Speaker 1 You're talking about just legendary folklore around Pittsburgh that the current Steelers have to hear about.

Speaker 1 Like they definitely go to events around Pittsburgh and they hear about those guys were Pittsburgh Steelers. Tommy Maddox is in this thing.

Speaker 1 And the stories that I've heard about Tommy Maddox, it's like people in Tommy fucking Maddox. We love Tommy Gunn.

Speaker 1 So you talk about everybody, let alone Porter and Farrier, you name it, the group that kind of goes on and on. But I think that group being in the building

Speaker 1 provided an opportunity for the guys that are new to the Steelers. DK Metcalf, Aaron Rodgers, you name it, Derry Slay gets injured.
So

Speaker 1 that's not great. Jalen Ramsey, huge hit, a couple of different ones.
I think it gave them and Johnny Smith, who are very good players.

Speaker 1 I think it gave them an opportunity to be like, oh, this is what I'm going to want to be respected as a Steeler, too.

Speaker 1 You know, it almost like provides a little bit more of an emphasis on being great whenever greatness is around from the past, I think personally, especially with that 2005 team coach.

Speaker 3 Yeah, having been a part of that 2005 team, it was a very, very special unit. These guys,

Speaker 3 they cared about each other more than any team I've ever been a part of. Our Super Bowl 55 team was very close to that.

Speaker 3 But yeah, what a great, great group of guys right there, man. It was fun, fun time coaching those guys.

Speaker 1 Ike Taylor, obviously, in there looking incredibly cool. You just, Fannica's in there looking incredibly sweet.

Speaker 2 Did Dick LeBeau have the headset on? I think so. We have eyes on Dick LeBeau.

Speaker 1 And that's a part of the problem. Casey Hampton looks awesome, by the way.
It looks like he can go out there and play Ray Down for that, too. I mean, them being around, I think, helped, Tone.

Speaker 1 Don't you think? I mean, the defense played

Speaker 1 different. TJ played different than he had played all year, I think.
Even though TJ's already had a great season and TJ is who TJ Watt is, I think he felt an obligation to like represent as well.

Speaker 1 I think that was something that was really kind of lingering in that place as they took on the Colts. And I'll tell you what, I didn't like it as I was watching.

Speaker 8 I agree with you 1,000%. It was cool pregame.
A lot of the defensive players were in the huddle, like the hype-up circle that TJ Watt does before every single game. So yes, they played motivated.

Speaker 8 And I went back and watched the tape last night because I couldn't get ESPN to work so I couldn't watch Monday Night Football. And the D line just whooped the Indianapolis Colts offensive line ass.

Speaker 8 So that was part of it as well.

Speaker 1 Yeah. And

Speaker 1 yeah, I mean, lucky for me, I didn't turn off the autopay to Hulu. Sure.
Because I was once a Hulu guy. I was once a Hulu guy.
Sunday ticket goes to YouTube TV.

Speaker 1 So I got to go over to YouTube TV, start doing YouTube TV. Wow.

Speaker 1 This is superior.

Speaker 1 Yeah, this is what it's like. This is really good.
This is really good. Coke and Pepsi.

Speaker 1 Not even. I think it's

Speaker 1 whatever the case. For sports fans, it is really good.
So this ESPN YouTube TV thing is like a real...

Speaker 1 I mean, this is a real, hey, you guys need to figure this shit out type situation for sports fans because it felt like YouTube TV was actually crafted for sports fans.

Speaker 1 Like that is like, hey, we're going to try to make this the best viewing experience for sports as you possibly can. The quad box created for sports fans.

Speaker 1 Now, there's people that aren't sports fans that are using that. Have you seen some of the quad box options? Oh, yeah.
When it like you go into,

Speaker 1 so I'll go on like somebody's bus or something. And I'll use somebody's bus for a night.
So I'm using their YouTube TV. So it's like what channels they're used to and they spartan for them.

Speaker 1 It's like the quad box opportunities are like, okay, got a political show here. We got a little cartoon here.

Speaker 1 You got this down here. And also you got sports here.
Yeah, I didn't even think about the non-sports fans.

Speaker 7 yeah but sports goes over there so last night for monday night football we were all kind of just in agreement that that was going to get done before monday night football right yes this this thing happens every single year with either cbs or nbc or fox or who have you and it's always like oh i think nbc it just happened it did and it's and it's always oh at the 25th hour they come in and save the day and we don't miss any it's it seems like it's mostly just posturing i think most people assumed there was no way we weren't going to be able to watch college football on Saturday.

Speaker 7 And then last night, you know, was kind of like the, oh, wow, like this actually might go on for a while.

Speaker 7 And now it's to the point where it's like some of these, you know, missing game day and college football on Saturday, like this isn't week one or two.

Speaker 7 Like we're getting to the point where it's the most important football of the season.

Speaker 7 So it seems like, yeah, like if they didn't get something done before last night, because you would think the NFL is kind of the end-all, be-all.

Speaker 7 It's like we need to get this done before the Cowboys are playing on Monday night football.

Speaker 1 So I just learned of this because of what happened last night.

Speaker 1 I think the McAfee, I think, you know, the old antivirus, I think they tell you all the things you're auto-paying and can completely get rid of it. Who knows? But I am still auto-paying

Speaker 1 right now. I didn't even want to know.
But the Hulu one, still going, jumped into a new phone. Jumped into a new phone.
I had no idea how it got over this one. I had transferred phones.

Speaker 1 I couldn't even get it up working with Hulu.

Speaker 2 You must have a bullshit subscription.

Speaker 1 Well, you must be not being auto. You must have got it.
You must have done a good job.

Speaker 1 i don't know how long i've been paying this hulu subscription i guess i've been paying for a long time i took the photo though on the screen a little qr code touched the thing one to the thing and then my phone was like what's the thing i type it in and all of a sudden boom patty hulu you're back it was like okay you guys have been charging me this entire it shouldn't have been that easy i don't think to get in there but that was what i mean i had to rack the brain like how do i even get to it shouldn't be doing that for nfl football are you no no should not be doing that for football

Speaker 2 these sites that could give my damn devices eights i don't want that. We're past the Lion Wire era.
I don't want to get into it. Look,

Speaker 2 I don't mind paying for it.

Speaker 1 You're talking about going to the parts. You're talking about going to party.

Speaker 2 Got to watch the Monday Night Football.

Speaker 2 You got to do something. And now

Speaker 2 I saw JJ Watts tweet. I saw some other tweets.
Like, it did kind of feel like a draw line in the sand type moment. Like, nope, I'm not getting another subscription.
I'm not doing another gimmick.

Speaker 1 I was just lucky that I was getting ripped off, basically, by the auto pick thing. That's how I watched it.
But yeah, we're all done with it. Okay.

Speaker 1 We're all done with it. And also, if you're on TV,

Speaker 1 stop telling people to go to a website to save a multi-billion dollar deal. Okay.

Speaker 1 Nobody cares what you have to say.

Speaker 1 There will be nothing that we say or any website that'll be visited that'll get this thing. There are,

Speaker 1 I don't want to say the exact names, but these people, it's poor sorts, though. Yeah.
It's poor sorts out for a good sports. Need each other.
Need each other.

Speaker 1 A lot of people saying greedy corporate, greedy corporate. It's like, yeah, need each other, especially with where sports are right now.
And we're in the middle of it. So let's get that done.

Speaker 1 Let's get that done. Now.

Speaker 1 And stop asking me to go to a website. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Sign up.

Speaker 1 I don't want to do that. So stop.
That also doesn't work. At all.
Yeah. Reality of the world.
Yeah. All you're doing is pissing everybody off even more.
So it's like, let's just not do that.

Speaker 1 Let's just try to, okay. Somebody needs to do one for a good of all.
For the good of ball, please. Please.
For the good of all.

Speaker 1 And then I saw some people saying, now,

Speaker 1 the country, okay, for election day, they need to see the news. Let's make sure we get a deal done.
And I saw somebody post, somebody thinks Election Day is more important than NFL Sunday. Come on.

Speaker 1 Wrong.

Speaker 1 It's like we live in that world for sure. But boy, I'll tell you what, if the election people get this deal done so that we can get ball back, we appreciate you.

Speaker 1 But if Ball gets his deal back, For you guys, we would like some thanks for how stupid sports are. And on that note, let's put our swords down.
Let's go ahead and shake some hands over there.

Speaker 1 We need to be able to access this shit easily. And also, sports are a unifier, man.
Come on, we don't want to hear about business bullshit. Now, granted, there is a lot.
There's a lot of it. Yeah.

Speaker 1 A lot of money being spent on a lot of things

Speaker 1 by, like, both sides. Like, a lot of money.
Well, we got to survive. We got to survive.
Well, we got to.

Speaker 7 And at some point, they just got to erase that line in the sand.

Speaker 1 Let's dance on that line. Let's do some line dancing.
Exactly. Why don't you guys do some line dancing? There we go.

Speaker 1 Instead of standing on either side of that joining us now ladies and gentlemen senior nfl insider for espn adam scheter

Speaker 1 shefty how you doing bud we all got one phone in our hand now feels like that wave is over are you okay as you gather your thoughts

Speaker 4 well i don't think we're done i don't think we're done but for now it's a there's a little lull for two minutes pat two minutes maybe Okay, tell me about Sauce Bardner to the Colts, please.

Speaker 1 We had you there for a second, then you picked up another phone, then you lost your mind. Can you please chit-chat a little bit about that play? and two firsts and A.D.
Mitchell feels like a lot.

Speaker 1 Is that what was needed to get that deal done?

Speaker 4 You know, the Jets signed him to a four-year, $120.4 million contract extension this summer. So clearly they were planning for him to be a part of the team.

Speaker 4 And in this particular case, I think when Micah Parsons gets traded for two ones and a player, That sort of sets the baseline for a team that's not necessarily looking to deal a cornerback.

Speaker 4 And obviously the Colts have been scouring the league looking for help in that area, looking for another cornerback, looking for defensive help. And I got a text there.

Speaker 4 Pat, you called me this morning and you said are the Colts make a trade. I got a text from somebody in India that said, we need a four-leaf clover.
You need a little bit of luck to make this happen.

Speaker 4 So obviously they felt like the luck kicked in and they were able to get it done. Now the conversations between the Jets and the Colts have been going on for weeks.

Speaker 1 Weeks.

Speaker 4 And they went up until the trade deadline today.

Speaker 4 And obviously at noon or so whatever it was 120 i don't i don't remember what time this came down half hour hour ago the jets felt comfortable to make this trade the colts felt comfortable to make the trade the jets now have four first round draft picks the next two years look they're going to be in the quarterback market they're going to be a quarterback team in the next two years whether that's this year or next year but it looks like

Speaker 4 in a way

Speaker 4 They're kind of tearing some things down and rebuilding and the Colts know that they have an opportunity in much the way the Commanders did at this time last year when they traded for Marshawn Lattimore and the Commanders went to the NFC Championship game.

Speaker 4 The Colts obviously view this as a window to take advantage of it.

Speaker 4 They have Daniel Jones on a friendly quarterback deal and so they went ahead and they traded two ones to the Jets along with wide receiver A.D. Mitchell who obviously

Speaker 4 who obviously had lost his place in Indy because of that fumble early in the season. And the Colts have other receivers as well so

Speaker 1 jets need receiver help they trade for john mitchie last week they trade for ad mitchell this week and they had two ones as well okay so ad mitchell also threw a pick six last year and said that guy looked like ed reed they threw it to i mean there was just a lot of things that did not go right for ad mitchell

Speaker 4 go ahead you want to call him back two minutes here i got i got calls coming in here yep you're the man ladies and gentlemen

Speaker 1 i don't have time two minute low i gave you all the information i have okay now i'm gonna go get more information information. So if you could shut up, please, if we can move along.
A.D.

Speaker 1 Mitchell heading over there. Obviously, fresh start.
We're happy for him. Sauce coming to town.
I was going to ask him,

Speaker 1 are we paying Danny Dimes and Jonathan Taylor now, too? How do we go about doing that? I appreciate the fact that you are like, they'll figure that out.

Speaker 1 That's because they got Mike Greenberg down there in Tampa. Remember, he's one of the greatest salary cap gymnasts of all time.

Speaker 1 Colts are going to have to do that as well as they continue to try to forge this Super Bowl champion team as they trade for Sauce Gardner.

Speaker 1 Sauce Gardner is a member of the Indianapolis culture now.

Speaker 1 Hell yeah, dude.

Speaker 1 As a fan,

Speaker 2 you got to love your team going all in.

Speaker 2 Figure it out. Okay, we got to pay this guy.
Whatever. Figure it out.
Just like I'm sure Cowboys fans felt about Michael Poe. Figure it out how to trade and pay for the good players.

Speaker 2 What the hell do we got there?

Speaker 1 We got good news. We got good news.
Not a trade. No, no.
NFL Plus has some stats here. Sauce Gardner has not allowed more than two receptions to a single receiver in a game this season.

Speaker 1 He has forced a tight window in 61.9% of his targets, the highest rate of any player targeted at least five times in coverage. Yep, I like these.
Let's keep feeding. Wow.

Speaker 7 I was going to say, to this point, I actually saw that he is the 22nd ranked cornerback in the NFL per pro football focus.

Speaker 1 Well, we all know how we feel about PFF rankings, and they're still putting them out there. Oh, yeah.
Week after week. Chris Collinsworth say, we negotiated.

Speaker 1 Here's a guy that negotiated a deal for you to run those every single week. I don't care what J.J.
Watts says. I don't care what anybody else thinks.

Speaker 1 Sauce Gardner, obviously, coming to Colts is a big deal. We'll keep up with Scheffer if any other trades happen before the 4 p.m.
trade deadline. We had some news around the NFL.

Speaker 1 Frankie Louvu, Washington commanders linebacker, he has been suspended without pay. Now, every suspension of a game is without pay.

Speaker 1 You lose a game check, but I think they want to make sure people know, like, hey, it's not just a game. They're also losing out on a game check, which is 1 17th of your salary.

Speaker 1 So it's pretty large for repeated violations of playing rules intended to protect the health and safety of players, including during Sunday's game against Seattle.

Speaker 1 This is Louvu's third hip-drop tackle of the season. He was previously fine in actions week four and week eight.
Then there was a video that kind of accompanied this with all three of the tackles.

Speaker 1 Now, whenever hip-drop tackle was brought into the lingo of NFL football, nobody really knew how it was going to be officiated.

Speaker 1 Because also, this is called just a tackle for some people, including Frankie Louvu. I think this is potentially his style of tackle, especially with how easily he does it.

Speaker 1 If you go back in time with Debo, whenever Debo was kind of, James James Harrison was kind of changing the way rules were being made. While rules were being changed, he was leading with his helmet.

Speaker 1 He had to change the way he tackles completely. Frankie Luvu appears to be a guy who's been doing this style of tackle for a very, very long time.
And we all can see it.

Speaker 1 I don't think we all love that it's called a hip-drop tackle, but I think it's a good way to describe exactly what it is. It's dangerous.

Speaker 1 And whenever the rule was made to ban it, you heard a lot of old school football people say, it's stupid. Why are we doing this? Why are we doing this?

Speaker 1 Then whenever you see it, you think to yourself, that's pretty nasty looking. It's like a horse collar, but even more weight almost debuffs.

Speaker 2 Yeah, we were all in the league when the rules changed significantly. James Harrison was obviously a big part of that.
Brandon Merriweather.

Speaker 2 I feel like it was a one-week span where it was probably three or four hits where the NFL came in and they had to do something. And there was a lot of question marks around that.
Like, how is it fair?

Speaker 2 How would defenders be able to adjust, you know, the target area, hit them between here and there. But we did, and we do.

Speaker 1 That's just, it's just a part of player safety is how the the game is evolving and we can see these tackles not this one but the other two I think on this clip that are clearly very very dangerous plays so yeah you definitely have to adjust how he plays and how you tackle because they are a player safety big issue BA how do you talk to the players as these rules are changing and I know your your entire thing is like hey everybody's playing with these rules but like whenever they were changing the strike zone on quarterbacks and tackling as a whole that went against like everything they were taught basically their entire life.

Speaker 1 I'm not saying Frankie Luvu has been taught this, but it looks like this is a style of tackle that Frankie Louvu has been doing his entire life. It looks like he just

Speaker 1 looks like he has a cape on. He just gets him and then drops the stuff.
Whenever these rules are changing, what is your messaging to the players and how much are you addressing it with them?

Speaker 3 Yeah, totally. We get every clip from the league, make our own clips.
All right, this is legal. This is illegal.
We are not breaking the rules. We are not beating ourselves.

Speaker 1 All right. So you figure it out.

Speaker 3 You figure it out. You get used to this shit quick.

Speaker 1 All right.

Speaker 3 Because I don't see any 15-yard penalties. I don't care if they take your money.

Speaker 1 Jeez,

Speaker 1 B.A.

Speaker 3 Hey, that's your damn fault for doing it. But no, I'm all for it.
This obviously, I think it's more dangerous than the horse collar.

Speaker 3 Now, the horse collar was supposedly you had to slide under the back of their legs and got to any time you just grabbed it and pulled them down. They started calling it.
Yeah.

Speaker 3 But this is a very dangerous play. It has to be out of the game.

Speaker 1 Agreed. Frankie Luvu, first player suspended for the hip drop tackle.
Joining us again, senior NFL insider for ESPN Adam Scheffter.

Speaker 1 Shefty, what's going on?

Speaker 4 Well, Pat, I just don't think we're done yet for the day. I think that we have a chance to have more activity.

Speaker 4 It doesn't mean it'll come down, but the phones, they're lighting up right now, and we'll see if

Speaker 4 more stuff is going to get done. It's been a crazy day.
Obviously, we brought up the Rashid Shaheed trade.

Speaker 4 The Seahawks are sending fourth and fifth round picks in this year's draft to the Saints in return for Rashid Shaheed. So he goes to the Seattle Seahawks.

Speaker 4 Jacoby Myers goes to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Sauce Gardner goes to the Indianapolis Colts.

Speaker 4 Logan Wilson went this morning from the Bengals to the Cowboys. And like I said, I just don't think we're done yet, Pat.
I think this has turned into a crazier day than I think most people expect.

Speaker 4 I thought I said to you this morning, we got a few moves today. A few moves, right? We've gotten a few, but they were of larger magnitude.

Speaker 4 And I started to tell you before when I was really interrupted by the cell service that is not great here in Connecticut, but now we're in a a good spot

Speaker 4 that the Colts felt like they needed to get have some luck to get this done. And obviously they stepped up in the form of two first-round picks and A.D.
Mitchell to get this done.

Speaker 4 I don't think the Jets ever would have imagined trading Sauce Gardner.

Speaker 4 But if you're in the Jets spot and you've won one game and you know you're going to be in the quarterback market and you know you're going to be reconstructing that roster, you might as well move on from some of the players and start from scratch.

Speaker 4 And that's that's what they did here with Sauce Gardner.

Speaker 1 Okay, Shefty, we appreciate you. What teams should we expect to maybe be active here? Who's blowing up the phones?

Speaker 1 Is there a certain couple or is everybody still kind of searching to see what's available?

Speaker 4 Well, I would say that right now there's, I think Dallas is still making calls. You know, we'll see if Miami can get something done for Bradley Chubb.

Speaker 4 There's a lot of stuff going on.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I don't want to give it away. We got it.
Ladies and gentlemen, Adam Sheffield. Thank you, Sheffield.

Speaker 1 Good night,

Speaker 1 Bull panic, one phone with the other one, yeah, yeah, yeah, guys. Lots going on here.
Then people watch him on the show, people start feeding him info whenever he's on the show.

Speaker 1 Yep, and then he has to read it while talking. What am I allowed to say? What am I not allowed to say? Is this real? Is this not real?

Speaker 1 I like the magnitude of the trades that have been taking place here. We'll be joined by Jordan Poyer, all pro po, who will be joining us.

Speaker 1 Obviously, he's back with the Buffalo Bills, who just had a massive win over the Kansas City Chiefs here in a matter of moments.

Speaker 1 Buffalo Bills made a lot of plays this offseason, obviously paying a lot of people. Doesn't feel like Bean's getting that active here in the trade deadline.

Speaker 1 I feel like they feel good about their team. Is that probably what that means?

Speaker 2 Well, I believe it. We never know.
We got a couple hours left.

Speaker 1 What Brandon Bean's up to? And Schefter says, you know, this is a lot more chaotic than I thought. This morning, he said he was on a, I don't know if he was on one of this one called.

Speaker 1 I think he was on an elliptical maybe because there was... Striding, but it wasn't as much bouncing as running.
So it felt like it was potentially an elliptical on a FaceTime.

Speaker 1 And he said, you know, know, we had a lot yesterday. Logan Wilson, this morning, we'll probably have a couple today.

Speaker 2 Chef De on the elliptical, he looked like an absolute goofball.

Speaker 1 Um, to be honest, it was pretty blurry. So, all I saw was this white shirt he was wearing, and his face was just kind of bouncing back and forth.

Speaker 1 Clearly, headphone on whatever machine was right in front of him. Chefty works out a lot, he gets after it.

Speaker 7 I believe he works out every single day.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Chefty really gets after it. Yeah, he's a dog, he's a lot older than he looks, like a lot older than he looks.
Really? Yes,

Speaker 1 he is much older than 72. Yeah, he's 70.
Yes. All right.
Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen. He is not 72.
Okay. He is not 72.

Speaker 1 Ladies and gentlemen, a man who is enjoying his eighth year just with the Buffalo Bills. Has a nickname of all pro Pope, obviously friend of the program.
We appreciate the hell out of him.

Speaker 1 Fresh out of a massive dub over the Kansas City Chiefs from the Buffalo Bills. Ladies and gentlemen, joining Poirier.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Hello, sir. What up, bro? Good to see you, man.
How's life?

Speaker 5 Life is life, brother. You know, it's just breathing and walking, man.

Speaker 5 It's a beautiful life, man.

Speaker 1 Hey, life is life. Definitely here, bro.
Life is life, and especially whenever you're on a defense that is as pummeling as you guys were against that Chiefs team.

Speaker 1 Hey, my big takeaway was that you guys like beat up the Kansas City Chiefs. I don't think that is normally something that we say about the Buffalo Bills defense.

Speaker 1 Not that we don't think you're a tough group, but it felt like you guys established some dominance. Is Bosa a reason for that as you guys get in there?

Speaker 1 Or why do you think maybe you guys looked a little different against this Chiefs team?

Speaker 5 Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 5 You know, anytime your pass rush is is playing that way anytime your defensive line is playing like that uh it makes it a lot easier on the back end and uh you know it was huge emphasis going into this game to really play team defense you know all around the board and you know we had a great game plan going in and just being able to execute that um was a huge highlight um you know players made plays uh got one of the boys right here i want y'all this is a new friend come over here i want y'all to see the new friend of the show right here y'all got to get this man on yeah

Speaker 1 hey max what up dude how you doing bro what's the deal?

Speaker 4 What's the deal?

Speaker 1 Hey, life is good. I just beat the shit out of the Chiefs.
Now we're living large out there in Buffalo. Okay, okay, Max.

Speaker 5 Yes, it's the guy right here, man.

Speaker 5 A great young player, man. Gonna be a player for a long time.
He was playing the game. And, yeah, man, just wanted to go in, play some really good team defense.
And we did that.

Speaker 5 And hopefully we can carry that momentum into this weekend going down south.

Speaker 1 Okay, let's talk about you being an old-ass man now. You know,

Speaker 1 they talked about you being a mentor in a couple different articles about Paul Bishop. Obviously, Max stopping by there.

Speaker 5 What is it like now at this stage of your career are you enjoying it yeah man i'm grateful grateful to just be here to you know be with this program again you know uh you know i didn't want to leave after getting cut here a couple years ago and you know you can say i went down down south with just kind of more um more anger that i that i got cut from here and you know that that situation was what it was i learned a lot about myself um learned a lot about life and i couldn't be more grateful to be here to be they call me unc now

Speaker 5 Which is crazy

Speaker 5 You know and you know this is where this is where I want to retire. This is where I you know I've said it many times.
This is where I want to retire. I love this city.
I love this organization.

Speaker 5 I love these fans and you know I couldn't think of a better situation to be here the role I the role I'm in is obviously a lot different than it's than I've had before but really just embracing it and just trying to help you know these young players come along trying to help this team and do everything that I can to help this team you know go on this run and so it's been really special.

Speaker 5 And

Speaker 5 we're halfway through the season and

Speaker 5 we got some momentum right now. We want to keep that going.
And we go down south this weekend.

Speaker 5 It's been a roller coaster for sure. But

Speaker 5 just grateful for it all.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Uncle, you're an old-ass man. You guys are six and two.
Obviously, I've already had your bye week. So your old ass body is certainly going to be tested as we go forward.

Speaker 1 D-Bud has a question for you.

Speaker 2 Absolutely, Jordan. I want to ask you, how's the body feeling? How's the mind? And what did you see out there? Because Mahomes had his worst completion percentage in his career against you guys.

Speaker 2 I know both teams were very familiar with each other.

Speaker 2 What did you see out there on the field from 15?

Speaker 5 Yeah, you know, the body feels great. You know, obviously not getting any younger, but this is definitely the healthiest that I've been since, you know, I toured my UCL in 2022.

Speaker 5 That kind of trickled down with a lot of different injuries. You know, the mind is always where it needs to be.

Speaker 5 You know, just continuing to practice, training the brain, training the mind, continuing to evolve.

Speaker 5 And yeah, like I said, we went in with a game plan that that we knew we had to execute as a as a collective as a team playing team defense whether it be our looks whether it be you know again hits on the quarterback making plays on the football making plays when they presented themselves and

Speaker 5 you know playing playing at home always helps with the crowd noise that might have been the loudest I've ever heard that plays and you know I haven't played in a home game there since 2023 and I you know you're in the in the huddle you forget how loud it actually is you know TB screamed the play call and you know that's just a shout out to our fans.

Speaker 5 And again, you know, we came in, we executed the game plan. And,

Speaker 5 you know, we had a lot of especially young guys step up and play extremely well like Max, like Cole, and Joey.

Speaker 5 He's just insane.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it feels like watching him. He potentially is an absolute monster around there.
Good to see him getting a chance to go on a run.

Speaker 1 And I talked about it there with you guys being six and two, but literally everything's in front of you.

Speaker 1 And the narrative after you guys beat the Chiefs is like, well, the Bills always beat the Chiefs in a regular season. So who cares? You know, who cares or whatever? Huge win.
Monster win.

Speaker 1 Fun to watch you guys play in all three phases. And on that note, you guys, very successful when you get a break.
Go ahead, BA.

Speaker 3 Yeah, Jordan, you guys have always done a great job after your bye week. I think Sean's got an unbelievable record.

Speaker 3 What is it about that bye week and what Sean does to get you guys on these hot runs every year?

Speaker 5 Yeah, you know, we have a really good coaching staff here who takes pride in making the adjustments and, you know, that week isn't necessarily just a break off, right?

Speaker 5 You know, there's a lot of guys that stay here throughout the buy to continue to try to work on their bodies to study the film, you know, with the coaches.

Speaker 5 And, you know, we even came back a day, day earlier, you know, tackling was a huge emphasis in the loss against Atlanta before the buy. So we came in, everybody had a report on Monday.

Speaker 5 We were in full pads on Monday. And, you know, we were hitting.
And so, you know, just

Speaker 5 understanding.

Speaker 5 And and I think again, the buy happening when it was, being able to look back on some of the things that we did well and continue to do those and some of the things that we didn't do well and continue to work on those.

Speaker 5 And Sean being the defensive-minded guy that he is,

Speaker 5 we came back and we made those adjustments. And again, I want to keep that momentum going.

Speaker 5 We're playing really good team defense right now. And

Speaker 5 that's what it's about.

Speaker 5 And again, we got

Speaker 5 another great test this weekend down south in Miami against a hungry Miami football team. And so we gotta be ready to play.
We gotta prepare well like we have been.

Speaker 5 And, you know, we're gonna be excited for the opportunity.

Speaker 1 Who knows what that Miami Dolphins team looks like after 4 p.m. today? Okay, there's been a lot of moves made.
Have you been paying attention at all?

Speaker 1 Sauce Gardner is now a member of the Indianapolis Colts. Okay, AFC on your fucking bumper.
Jordan Boyer out here in Indianapolis. Okay, you need to know that.

Speaker 1 Okay, there's shit going on right now, Jordan.

Speaker 5 Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. That's crazy.

Speaker 5 You know, I don't know who won that deal, but

Speaker 5 yeah, the AFC, the Colts, they're looking like a solid team. And yeah,

Speaker 5 we'll see how that works.

Speaker 1 Yes, we will, Jordan. Yes, we will.
Okay, we got Daniel Dimes, obviously. Phenomenal quarterback.
You guys have the MVP. Go ahead, Ty.

Speaker 7 Yeah, Jordan, Josh Allen was obviously unbelievable when you were in Buffalo. But what have you noticed about his player?

Speaker 7 I guess how much better do you think he has gotten since your short time away, now being back in Buffalo?

Speaker 5 I mean, that's the MVP, man.

Speaker 5 I said it when I signed in Miami. You know, he's the best quarterback in the game.

Speaker 5 And that's for a reason. You know, he just continues to build his level of awareness, his confidence.

Speaker 5 You know, he knows he's great, and he knows the team feeds off of his energy, and he comes in every day with that right mindset. You know, he's a quarterback that...

Speaker 5 that you want to play for.

Speaker 5 Somebody who's just nasty, savvy, can make every throat, can run everybody over.

Speaker 5 And again, just his confidence levels through the roof and and somebody that you just want to go to battle with every sunday

Speaker 1 nasty and savvy great words to be described as he's nasty and savvy i mean that that is a bar there i i enjoy the thought of that hey um before we get any more football questions in uh

Speaker 1 Connor wanted to bring it up, but he's going to ask you an actual football question, so I'll just address it here. Do you have a hand pan still? Are we still hand panning or no? Have we gotten better?

Speaker 5 I do. I'm on the rab drum now, which is similar like a hand pan but it's uh i'll bring it on next time i'm a big fan of the rab drum you're you're a fan of the rabbit

Speaker 1 yeah big time

Speaker 1 yeah so you play the rab drum

Speaker 5 how do you how do you uh what are we it's it's exactly like a hand pan but the tones the tones string out a little bit longer it doesn't just hit the tone and and stop the tones string out a little bit longer and it makes uh it makes the it makes the sound just a lot more soothing like rabdo it's it's a lot more enjoyable max what are you doing Max?

Speaker 1 Okay, what are you doing, Max? We're talking about a rhapto drum. Okay, have a little respect, dude.

Speaker 1 Oh, you're playing this. Is that you, Jordan? Which one? You had to press like that.

Speaker 5 That is not me.

Speaker 1 Comes with the instrument.

Speaker 1 I'll tell you what. Any Caucasian that's got dreads, hey, any Caucasian that got dreads, you know that they've made some decisions.

Speaker 1 They've made some going to be a good time. Yeah.

Speaker 5 Some deep decisions.

Speaker 1 Yes, they've made some decisions on how their life is going to go.

Speaker 1 And I'm not saying they're not a good time. time.
I've certainly been around a lot of them. Okay, I've been to an all-good festival or two.
You see a lot of that.

Speaker 1 But they've certainly decided that they are committing fully to the bit.

Speaker 6 Parents aren't too happy with those guys.

Speaker 1 Well, unless they come from parents of Caucasian dreadheads. True, true.
And then their grandparents. Carrying on a legacy.
I do think there is legacy Caucasoid

Speaker 1 dreadheads. I do believe that is something that happens.
They all play instruments. I think they all play this instrument.
I think they all could. You put this instrument in their hands.

Speaker 1 I think every white that has dreads would be able to fucking slay this. Oh, yeah.
Like Beethoven.

Speaker 1 If I had to guess. Just know how to play.
You see a white with dreads, you bring this one over, strap up. There's a show coming.

Speaker 1 They are very comfortable in that thing. They're about to go to a portal.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you are about to go to a portal.

Speaker 1 Okay, let's talk about a portal of you being unknown. Go ahead, Con Man.

Speaker 6 Yeah, Jordan, aside from the defense, do you feel yourself also mentoring like the wide receivers and the tight ends just because you have such a wealth of information on NFL defenses that kind of sharing that with the offense helps with them as well.

Speaker 5 Yeah, I mean, I'm just trying to be an open book. You know, there's a lot of young players still, I mean, even on the practice squad,

Speaker 5 you know, that are, you know, ask questions here or there. You know, how's this leverage work here if I'm running this route? You know, what does it look like if I stem it like this?

Speaker 5 And, you know, even, you know, so I just really trying to be open book. I've seen a lot of football, you know, both offensively and defensively.
And so,

Speaker 5 yeah, there's a lot of guys, a lot of guys that will come up to you and ask small questions here or there.

Speaker 5 And really, again, you know, my role now, trying to be a mentor, trying to continue to guide these guys. And also, you know, I'm starting now.

Speaker 5 So really preparing myself to continue to play at a high level and

Speaker 5 make sure we're solid on the back end and we're connected on the back end. So,

Speaker 5 yeah, man, just

Speaker 5 it's an unknown for sure, but embracing it and enjoying it.

Speaker 1 Yeah, let's talk about the unknown role here before we let you go. And obviously, we're very gracious for your time here.
I think I saw 47% of the snaps or something like that.

Speaker 1 How is that at this stage? Because I got a chance to watch Matt Hasselbeck. Matt Hasselbeck was a starting quarterback, starting quarterback, starting quarterback, starting quarterback.

Speaker 1 We draft Andrew Luck. Matt Hasselbeck has to make the decision that he's going to come in and he's going to be the backup quarterback.
Like that is a transition stage of a career.

Speaker 1 Now, he played valuable minutes for us. We needed Matt Hasselbeck.
He was awesome. But mentally, it was a decision.
You playing this year, I assume you knew what the deal was.

Speaker 1 and obviously understand at this stage.

Speaker 1 You said you're going to be obviously getting more plays back at starter, but that mindset of just being able to say, yeah, I'm cool with whatever after accomplishing so much and being all pro po.

Speaker 1 How is that kind of mindset as you address it?

Speaker 5 Yeah, you know, initially, coming in, I came in August 28th, knowing I'm signing to the practice squad. And yeah, you know, Micah had told me last year,

Speaker 5 you know, it was one of the most humbling experiences, right? Because you are the guy for so many years. And now, all of a sudden, you know,

Speaker 5 you're on the scout team, you know, doing scout team defense. Shit, I was even doing scout team offense running routes at a couple weeks during the season.

Speaker 5 And so to that point, yeah, it's very humbling. But, you know, I'm at a place in my life.
You know, I've...

Speaker 5 I've overcome a lot of different things in my life, have so many ups and downs.

Speaker 5 And to really just, again, be here, to be able to kind of ride off in the sunset on my own terms with the organization that I care about and

Speaker 5 that has essentially raised me in this NFL league and the NFL world, you know, to To me, it's the right way to go.

Speaker 5 Last year was a tough year all around and kind of what the future looked like was very uncertain.

Speaker 5 And there was probably a good time, probably two or three months in the offseason where I was retired and I was ready to hang up my cleats and I was okay with that.

Speaker 5 And

Speaker 5 as I sat with it more and more and conversations started to come up more and more.

Speaker 5 The idea of possibly coming back to Buffalo, on a call it Micah Hyde plan, I started to be intrigued by that.

Speaker 5 Obviously, knowing that how

Speaker 5 I know I can impact the game a lot, also not just being on the field, right? I've seen a lot of ball.

Speaker 5 You know, they got a lot of young guys here that, you know, I just am trying to help bring their game to the next level.

Speaker 5 Because when I was a young player in the league, I had guys like Teshawn Gibson, Dante Wittner, Jim Leonard, you kind of take me under their wing and showed me how to be the pro and showed me how to take care of my body, how to watch film.

Speaker 5 And so the Joe Hayden's, you know, and I promised myself if I ever got to that age where, you know, people are calling me unknown that that's going to be, this is my way of giving back to the game, giving back to the organization.

Speaker 5 And again, just staying ready for whatever, staying ready for whatever situation, whether it's starting, whatever that is. And so, you know, now here we are, you know, week nine.

Speaker 5 I'm back in the lineup and it feels good.

Speaker 5 My body feels good. Spirit feels good.
And, you know, I'm excited for this run that we're on.

Speaker 1 You're still ridiculously handsome, too. So congrats on that.

Speaker 1 My wife would appreciate that. Yeah,

Speaker 1 you'll be aging differently than the dreaded white guys

Speaker 1 forever. And we understand that.
But hey, congrats. We're happy to see you at this stage of life.
Obviously, we've known you for a while now.

Speaker 1 We've seen you go through a bunch of different inspiring moments, a bunch of big-time moments, a bunch of tough moments.

Speaker 1 I mean, we feel like we followed along through our appreciation of you and your time for our show. So we're happy for you, man, that you're at peace.

Speaker 1 We hope you enjoy it all and good luck to you the rest of the way.

Speaker 5 I appreciate y'all. It's so good to see y'all.
Y'all boys keep stepping, man. Love.

Speaker 1 All right. Tell Max we want him on the show.

Speaker 5 Absolutely. Yeah, you tell him right now.

Speaker 1 Max, some point we need you on. Okay.
Hey, Max, good to see you. Need you on the show at some point, dude.
Need you to be... Will you come on sometime?

Speaker 4 Yeah, just let me know.

Speaker 1 All right, all right. We'll let you know.
All right, we appreciate you. All right, Max and Jordan Poyer, we appreciate it.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 Max popping his head in in the middle of one of Jordan's answers and then dropping out.

Speaker 1 That's the energy we need. And also, you can see by their culture right there, the building.
That's the Buffalo Beals as a whole right there.

Speaker 6 Yeah, do you remember from the combine, the one guy that tapped every single player up who got drafted that was him oh yeah he was the waiting he was the guy waiting right there and he it was every single person

Speaker 8 do you remember who represented him at that time who he we were talking to him before he ran sean slowly he's no i believe he's a money team guy oh eddie yeah right yeah he was

Speaker 1 kentucky yeah

Speaker 1 okay

Speaker 1 yes i do remember yes okay now hey Should have known that immediately.

Speaker 6 Oh, come back.

Speaker 1 I was actually very worried yesterday whenever Clayton Kershaw FaceTimed us in. He brought his bowl of coop into the fold.
Sure.

Speaker 1 I told Ty clearly before that show started, hey, Clayton Kershaw might bring some of the boys in. Gonna need you to give me answers on who the hell they are.

Speaker 1 Okay, because that is nothing worse than showing somebody. He could have shown, Clayton Kershaw could have shown somebody in there.
Miguel Rojas. Bingo.

Speaker 1 And it's like, I'm happy that Max didn't feel any disrespect there. I should have known immediately because of how big of fans we are of his.

Speaker 1 Makes a big play for them on Sunday, obviously, against Patrick Mahomes. But that is the vibes of the Bills as a whole.
And Jordan Poyer talked about coming back being in this unknown.

Speaker 1 It's like, it feels like that building likes who they are and what they are. And you got to really put a focus on that if you want to build a good team.

Speaker 1 And the Bills have done that.

Speaker 2 You got to have some good vets.

Speaker 2 And obviously, you want to be a good vet and still be productive at the same time because it's hard for young guys to listen to a guy, even if they have played a long time in the league, if they're not still playing well.

Speaker 2 Now, is he going to be all pro poll? We'll see. But especially with all those moving parts that are back there, they do a lot of disguising on defense.

Speaker 2 And you you know, they're going to be in it with that team that they have around Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 Okay, we have big news tonight at 8 o'clock. We will get the college football playoffs official rankings.

Speaker 1 The college football playoff committee went into a meeting last night as all the older whites and put their hats down and said, let's go in there and do this thing.

Speaker 1 I am very excited that this is officially college football playoff season, and we'll get the official rankings. That really means stuff.
How many Big 12 schools have a chance?

Speaker 1 How many ACC teams have a chance? How many from the SEC? How many from the Big Ten? Now, the AP has their own rankings. Obviously, others do their own rankings.

Speaker 1 This is the only one that actually matters whenever it comes down to starting with 12, counting down to one. Interesting social video to start this entire week.
Do you know who those people are?

Speaker 2 Like individuals, no names?

Speaker 1 They all look like the same person to me, but it is different mindset. Mark D'Antonio, right there.
Okay, that's all I do. A lot of people that have a lot of love and appreciation for college sports.

Speaker 1 Bald guy. Yep.
Yeah.

Speaker 8 Greasy hair guy.

Speaker 1 Oh. Sweet lady.
Yep. This guy.
That guy.

Speaker 1 Shack guy. Shack guy.
Larry.

Speaker 1 This guy.

Speaker 2 Otter guy.

Speaker 1 Otter guy. An outer guy.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Stanford Steve should be in there. We would appreciate it if Stanford Steve was in there.
We do appreciate that this video was the first one they chose to put out there.

Speaker 1 Like, hey, they're putting all the same hats down,

Speaker 1 and they're going in there to go to work. The College Football Playoff Committee has put out another graphic.
It's basically the schedule of all the games, and it's a lot.

Speaker 1 It's a lot, but just know that this is around a corner. Ladies and gentlemen, Friday, December 19th is the first playoff run.

Speaker 1 December 20th, playoff run.

Speaker 1 Let's go. Let's talk about this.
It's right around the corner. It is November 4th.
It is November 4th. It's a little over a month away.
Okay, so December 19th, this entire thing starts.

Speaker 1 And then obviously we have a run all the way up until February, January 9th. That's the national

Speaker 1 January 19th is the national championship. Sorry, I was at this?

Speaker 1 Yeah, there it is. Yeah, okay.
So that's. Oh, those are.
Okay, so we're slotting. We're reading these as slots.
We're going to lose.

Speaker 1 I hope not. I hope not.
Run it back.

Speaker 1 We're mixing things up.

Speaker 1 It's about time.

Speaker 1 More schools get a shot to shine. It's a

Speaker 1 lot more fun.

Speaker 1 Starting with 12, counting down to one.

Speaker 1 That's how we crown a CFP national

Speaker 1 champion. And then it goes, how we crown a CFP national

Speaker 1 champion.

Speaker 1 Yeah. BA, you didn't know this one? No.
Well, I'll tell you what. They're saying it because you're representing Virginia Tech and there there was no conversation.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but on that note, hey, Virginia Tech's back in the college football news. A lot of jobs that are open, a lot of jobs potentially getting hired.
He signed an NDA.

Speaker 1 He's a part of the group that is literally hiring the Virginia Tech people. And I don't want to put him on a spot right now to get himself in trouble.
But Virginia Tech's cooking right now.

Speaker 1 Virginia Tech is cooking from what I've been told. Let's head over to Hammer.
Don, Don. Ton, what are we expecting tonight from the CFP rankings?

Speaker 1 And what are you looking at as your projected playoff picture right now where we stand at November 4th?

Speaker 8 Yeah, so this is mine right now. This is not how I think it's going to end at the end of the season.
I think it's going to be how it's going to be tonight.

Speaker 8 Obviously, I think you have to go Ohio State at one, followed by Indiana, A ⁇ M, and Alabama as your top four teams getting the buys. That would be as tonight.
I think that's going to change.

Speaker 8 I think eventually the

Speaker 8 SEC champion will be number two. I think the Big Ten champion will be number one.
And then the losers of those games potentially being 3-4 after that.

Speaker 8 I do not think the Big Ten will get the number one and number two team after the championship games are concerned.

Speaker 8 I could be wrong in that. Just thinking off the top of my head there.
Then you have Oregon, Georgia, Ole Miss, and BYU currently as the hosts. Obviously, Texas Tech and BYU play this weekend.

Speaker 8 So that'll be a big one. I don't know.

Speaker 8 If the Big 12 is going to get two teams. I would be shocked if the Big 12 gets two teams.
So as we look at that right there, 8-9,

Speaker 8 if that's how it goes tonight, this weekend is a...

Speaker 8 Pseudo-playoff game, if you will.

Speaker 1 Hell yeah, we're going to be down there. You think this is what the CFP is going to put out tonight? This is you saying you think this is what they put out tonight.

Speaker 1 What they will also have is what, last in, first out as well on the left side.

Speaker 1 Who are some of the schools that are not on your CFP prediction here, which once again, Tone is trying to predict what he thinks they're going to put out tonight as their official playoff thing?

Speaker 1 Who are some of the the schools that are left off that are not going to be happy about what you or they do if you are accurate?

Speaker 8 So let's start with the ACC. I do not think Virginia is going to be in the playoffs

Speaker 8 at the end of the season. Now, they still have, they have Duke.
They have Virginia Tech for BA. I don't know.
And you guys talked about on College Game Day. I do think they're looking for a loss.

Speaker 8 That's kind of how they've been played lately.

Speaker 8 Memphis and Tulane play this weekend. So Tulane, if you're looking to be one of those teams to get in, whoever wins the American in that situation.

Speaker 8 But some of the other teams sitting right out, Texas, Texas is playing really, really good now. They have AM still.
They have Georgia now. Guess what? If they win those games, Texas is going to be in.

Speaker 8 Louisville, I think, is very, very alive in the ACC.

Speaker 8 I still think Georgia Tech is very alive in the ACC after a tough loss this last weekend.

Speaker 8 Utah is still alive in the Big 12. I think the ACC Big 12, still very, very alive.
And then some of those teams at the bottom of the SEC as far as getting in for that.

Speaker 1 How about Navy? How about Navy? How about the Power 5? Who's all the way from the Power 5?

Speaker 8 So Navy had a tough loss against North Texas last weekend. So I think Navy still has one loss.
They got a big one against Notre Dame. Memphis, Tulane, North Texas.

Speaker 8 JMU would be the one not in American to watch to maybe potentially get that 12-seed.

Speaker 1 All right. Well, good luck to you on your prediction of what their playoff prediction will be.
We appreciate the hell out of UAP, Tom.

Speaker 1 Not a bad little trade deadline day. Not at all.
Not bad at all.

Speaker 1 I mean, this has actually been a pretty fun little trade deadline day.

Speaker 1 Saturday, College Game Day. We,

Speaker 1 you know, we,

Speaker 1 when somebody,

Speaker 1 when life throws you a situation, at some point, you got to be able to counter a little bit.

Speaker 1 I appreciate the opportunity that we had to broadcast game day on X. And obviously, I saw a lot of reaction from people saying, hey, this is really cool of doing this.

Speaker 1 It wasn't just me that did it. Obviously, me and Jimmy Petaro had the full conversation about this.
Jimmy Petaro head of ESPN.

Speaker 1 And ultimately, he said, yeah, I was going to do it just for the last hour. Just so we're all 100% clear.

Speaker 1 I have in my deal. Okay, that I've negotiated,

Speaker 1 writes the clips. Everybody has to agree on that.

Speaker 1 So anytime you see me on anything, you will know that I have negotiated in in my deal to do as such the ability to clip stuff and post it onto my social media platforms.

Speaker 1 Gumpy is the guy who actually rips stuff while I'm live and posts on the social media platforms.

Speaker 1 The cell is like, hey, want to let my people know that this is happening, but also, hey, this is a clip show if we let it be.

Speaker 1 And you don't really maybe understand that as much as we have this capability. So that's kind of the negotiation.
So just putting the last hour, I could have made the argument.

Speaker 1 I thought that that was a clip. You know, just put the last hour, just put the last hour of there.

Speaker 1 Push comes to shove, gonna piss people off, but it is a clip of the show in there, you know, is there. So, I pitched the idea, talked to Jimmy.
Jimmy was like, Run the whole thing.

Speaker 1 This show is a unifier. This show should be seen by people.
And because we have a business disagreement, we should make it as easy as possible. It was on the ESPN app in front of the paywall.

Speaker 1 It was on X. And on X, we're getting numbers back from the X people.
This is people from X, 1.18 million unique viewers just on X. So it's like, that's sick.

Speaker 1 I'm happy as hell that we had the opportunity to do that. And I'm very lucky to be a part of a show that obviously draws so much interest.
We appreciate it. As we wrap up today

Speaker 1 on this glorious trade deadline day, game day, gigantic. College football, huge.
NFL, alive. Let's make sure we get deals done so that we can all see all of it.
Please.

Speaker 1 And trade deadline day, four o'clock.

Speaker 1 is your team getting better or is your team mailing it in we shall see be a friend tell a friend something nice it might change their life we'll see you tomorrow goodbye okay so um

Speaker 1 crazy to have

Speaker 1 crazy to have that monday night football game not easily excess uh bowl last night this ain't gonna last long right i hope not

Speaker 7 starting the deadline be like starting to think it might yeah maybe something i didn't think there was any way that the monday night football game would not be on youtube tv thought it could yeah it would been enough for that.

Speaker 1 Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 7 But once you're past that, but like now we have missed a full weekend of football.

Speaker 1 Like

Speaker 7 what makes them think, okay, now we really got to go? You know, it's like,

Speaker 7 it seems like both sides are pretty dug in. I hope I'm wrong, but that's, that's the way it seems.

Speaker 1 The only reason why both sides would be dug in is because they feel as if it's for their survival, right? Just from negotiation in the past.

Speaker 1 And I don't want to say I've been a part of any negotiation that's anywhere near as big as this one. Okay.
This is a gigantic deal. There's a lot of money on the line here.
Both sides, a lot of money.

Speaker 1 But it feels like there's a chance, especially with how long it is. I'm not in the middle of it.
I'm not a part of it. I do not know where each side sits.

Speaker 1 But if whenever you're this dug in, it's strictly because you feel as if it is for survival. And a lot of people are going at both sides.

Speaker 1 And it's like both sides, I think, feel like, hey, this has to be the way this goes for us to survive. And both of them feel as if they have leverage.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 So anytime both sides feel like they have leverage and they feel like they they have to to survive, that's a tough deal to get done. That is a very tough deal.

Speaker 1 There's deal makers, though, okay, that are out there in the world. And there's bad, there's good deal makers, bad deal makers.

Speaker 1 There's professional deal makers that get brought in to kind of, hey, let's set our swords aside. I wonder if we're going to get to that stage.

Speaker 1 I wonder how many people are like, hey, hey, hey, hey, we got to figure this out for the good of the people, for the good of the people, because we're those people.

Speaker 1 And we just want everybody to enjoy the hell out of sports as easy as possible. We need more sports, not less sports.
and we need more people watching sports, not less people watching sports.

Speaker 1 So let's go ahead and get that deal done. Both sides.
On that note, B.A., you want to do a giveaway?

Speaker 1 Do you want to do some sort of challenge? Do you want to? Do you really? Yeah. What do you want to do, brother? I know you can't throw because the shoulder, elbow, arm doesn't go up.
Yeah.

Speaker 3 Maybe cornhole.

Speaker 1 Oh, like that. That's good.

Speaker 1 Twist. Yeah, I like this.
I like

Speaker 1 this.

Speaker 1 Okay, so uh you only turn one way out then.

Speaker 1 Right? Probably

Speaker 1 has to

Speaker 1 catch that song right here. So if I switch one of the plus here today,

Speaker 1 what is it? 27?

Speaker 1 How many feet is it? How many pages is there? Twenty-seven? I forget.

Speaker 2 Come on, nobody knows Dims? I think it's twenty-seven.

Speaker 1 Twenty-seven.

Speaker 2 It's a pro right there.

Speaker 1 Here you go, BA.

Speaker 7 You're a broad official ACL distance. Yeah, it is.

Speaker 1 It is, EA. Four that thing up.
Yep.

Speaker 1 Perfect.

Speaker 1 All right, I don't know. Let's talk about it.

Speaker 1 How big of a cornhole player are you, you think? I've only played once in my life. Oh.
40 seconds? I never played once in my life.

Speaker 1 Coach, do you want to throw four just to get a feel?

Speaker 1 All right, so why don't you throw four?

Speaker 1 Okay,

Speaker 1 fuck you. You have definitely, you sandbagging, cornhole bagging son of a bitch.

Speaker 1 I mean, that's exactly how you want to spin that thing flat. Everything you just did right there is the right play.
All right, second ever corn hole.

Speaker 1 Okay. Okay.

Speaker 1 Uh-oh. Uh-oh.
Makes more sense now.

Speaker 7 May have been a bit of a fluke.

Speaker 2 Beginner's look.

Speaker 1 All right. Yeah.
Here's your four now. You got a feel for it.
You got to make one in the hole. Okay.

Speaker 1 You make one

Speaker 1 in the hole. 15.
No, you just winked. This son of a bitch.

Speaker 1 One in the hole. 20 people will win $500.

Speaker 1 This man won four for four on putz

Speaker 1 Okay, oh for a one he's got to go one for three here and twenty people

Speaker 1 And that one was pushed past the hole so that one never fell

Speaker 1 All right last shot whoa

Speaker 1 25 people

Speaker 1 $500 all BA's got to do is put one cornhole bag into the cornhole D-butt any motivation for our coach BA here as he tries to attempt the seemingly impossible You know what your best toss was your first one.

Speaker 2 I don't think you even thought about it. You just let that bitch rip, let it rip.

Speaker 2 Y'all got.

Speaker 2 Oh,

Speaker 1 he walked it off. It was still a good day, B.A.
It was still a good day, B.A. We appreciate the hell out of you, Coach B.A.

Speaker 1 Yes, you certainly were. All right, we will run.
Great work, man. Great work.
We'll run the rest of the Cam Little.

Speaker 1 We'll run the full Cam Little interview here as we wrap up on this glorious trade deadline day. And we'll be following Schefter's Twitter account.
And it feels as if

Speaker 1 it happened but Schefter says

Speaker 1 wait a minute my phones are still blowing up magic could still happen will it be the sizzle as we already got the stake or do we have a chance to have maybe one of the most historic trade deadline days in the history of the NFL if anything happens while this Cam Little interview is happening we will certainly come right on back we appreciate the hell out of you all for allowing us to do this for a living coach BA thank you so much for traveling up here every week we love your vibes.

Speaker 1 Live from Hammer Don. Don AP Tone, we appreciate you.
Why don't you come on over here? Boys in the back, great work this week. Rushmore on X most recent episode is Dynasties.
Stephen A.

Speaker 1 Smith, Al Michaels, Ari and Ben traveled down a road of sports greatness, and it is fantastic. Available right now at Rushmore on X on X.

Speaker 1 There's clips, obviously, across all social media platforms, but the full episode is available only on X. It is fantastic.

Speaker 1 And anytime you get people talking about something that they love, especially in this particular case, the legends of the things talk about something that they love, the amount of information that just kind of falls out of their mouths into your ears is a magical thing.

Speaker 1 Rushmore on X has been special to be a part of. Ari and Ben should be very proud of the show they put together.

Speaker 1 And talk and Bailey and Foxy, the amount of work that's been put in the back end, dirty with the graphics, Debone with the graphics as well. I'm incredibly proud to be a part of it.

Speaker 1 Everybody's kicking ass. And on that note, be a friend, tell a friend something nice.
It might change their life. We're in this thing together.
Team on me. BA, anything for the squad?

Speaker 3 Great show. Better win next week.
Hell yeah.

Speaker 1 Cam Little on the other side. Team on three.
One, two, three. Team.
Goodbye.

Speaker 13 This is Kevin Clark for Manscaped. Look, being a man doesn't mean skipping self-care.
I do this show three times a week. And every single time, I do a little self-care beforehand, okay?

Speaker 13 Grooming, the hair, everything. You guys see it.

Speaker 13 You don't wake up like this. You don't wake up like that.

Speaker 13 You got to do. You got to get the stubble going.
You got to get rid of that awful mustache I had last spring. Listen, I tried.
I thought the mustache

Speaker 13 over the stubble was a good look. Not a good look.
It wasn't a good look. You have to learn that the hard way.
Manscaped makes it easy to feel confident, clean, and ready for anything.

Speaker 1 Ladies and gentlemen, we have breaking news on this trade deadline day. The New York Jets have traded away another all-pro, pro bowler.

Speaker 1 Quinnen Williams, the absolutely legendarily entertaining and beast of a defensive lineman, has been traded from the New York Jets to the Dallas Cowboys. First Sauce Gardner comes to Indianapolis.

Speaker 1 Now Quinn Williams goes to the Dallas Cowboys. And Jerry Jones said last night, I got a trade or two in my back pocket.
I don't know if I want to pull one mine.

Speaker 1 Logan Wilson gets traded from the Cincinnati Bengals, the middle linebacker, down to Dallas this morning.

Speaker 2 And now Quinnon Williams is on his way to the Big D and jerry world quinnon williams is a beast yeah quinnon williams is a dog by all accounts what did the dallas cowboys add and why do you think they did it debuff well we know why they did it we talked we showed the numbers that they had uh earlier in the show with historically bad numbers on defense and this is an absolute game record you mentioned it earlier whenever you can get pressure or some game records up front with a four-man rush that's going to help a defense tremendously you added Logan Wilson on the second level and now this is

Speaker 2 kind of an all-pro and legendary kind of game record up in the middle of that defense. So this is a big pickup for Jerry Jones.

Speaker 1 Joining us now, senior NFL insider for ESPN, Adam Shepter.

Speaker 1 I don't think the day's done. I think there's more to come, you said.
I don't know if you knew it was going to be coming from the New York Jets. They're doing full rebuild right now.

Speaker 1 Is that what we're seeing in New York?

Speaker 4 Yeah, I knew that one was coming. They've been working on Quinn Williams all day.

Speaker 4 That was the one that the Dallas Cowboys were working on. That's why when Sauce came down, I thought Quinnen was getting traded.
And all of a sudden, it was Sauce, which was unexpected at that moment.

Speaker 4 And now they're trading Quinn and Williams. It'll be at least a first-round pick, at least a first-round pick.

Speaker 4 And we're waiting to see the exact compensation. I'm literally going to hear any moment now.
So as soon as I get it, I'll let you know there, Pat.

Speaker 1 Okay, appreciate that. So the Jets obviously acquired two first-rounders from the Indianapolis Colts just about an hour or two ago.
Now they're going to pick up another first-rounder.

Speaker 1 And you talked about them being in the quarterback market either this offseason or the next one. They're doing full rebuild over there.
Did they expect maybe let's see how the team goes?

Speaker 1 When do you think they decided that they were going to, you know, maybe completely move on from their young pillars and start anew in New York?

Speaker 1 Was that before the year started or as this year continued to roll on?

Speaker 4 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's not before the year because you're going through the year.
You don't expect to be one in seven or whatever they are at this particular moment, but they are.

Speaker 4 They're in that spot right now. And so they just figured, okay,

Speaker 4 we might as well just start building this up and get this

Speaker 4 more picks. They're in the quarterback market now, obviously.

Speaker 1 Okay, so Jerry obviously picked up a first rounder from the Green Bay Packers with the trade of Micah Parsons. And he chit-chatted about the number of picks that he had whenever he made that play.

Speaker 1 What are we expecting this to be worth? You said at least one first-rounder. The New York Jets, all of a sudden, are about to become the bells of the ball come draft time around,

Speaker 4 you know, the entire NFL, nfl i'd assume you know uh uh yep uh hold one second uh

Speaker 4 by the way the the the the yeah the the the quinn and williams trade is not done but they're trying to get it finalized they're trying to get finalized oh

Speaker 1 hold the phone you know we got to dot i's cross t's you know what the hardest touchdown to score is what's that well without the tush push goal line yeah you know those final inches they're always the most difficult because we got everything else done are we going to let these things hold up the thing yeah we actually will.

Speaker 1 We're watching out maybe with not being able to watch Monday Night Football. Now, in this trade, he's assuming it's going to get done.
How long have they been working it? You've been talking about

Speaker 4 Quinnen Williams. This has been in the works.
Well, it's been going on for a little while now. And there were multiple teams in on him.

Speaker 4 And,

Speaker 4 you know, the Jets, by the way, it's not done yet. It's not done.
We're waiting. But I would think that both sides get this far along at 2.11

Speaker 4 with the trade deadline coming up in one hour and 49 minutes, they'll figure out a way to get it done. But

Speaker 4 it's not done. They're trying to get it finalized.

Speaker 1 Okay, so trying to get it finalized. Maybe money is a part of this entire thing.
Debut has a question for you.

Speaker 2 Yeah, where is Quentin Williams at with his contract? I know he signed a new deal, I think, two years ago, rookie extension. Where is he at with that?

Speaker 4 I don't even know right now. I haven't checked on that, Debut.

Speaker 4 Like, I would think he's good, but when you go to a new team, you're going to have some leverage because the team is going to be giving it up an awful lot to get you.

Speaker 4 So that'll be advantageous for Quinn Williams, but I don't even know how much time he's got left on his deal. I haven't looked yet.
Okay.

Speaker 1 Are you in a diner right now? What do you have going on right now?

Speaker 4 Just got the ESPN. I'm sitting here in a hall

Speaker 4 just hanging out here, waiting to do our trade special at 3 o'clock as more information is coming in here. All right.

Speaker 1 We appreciate the hell out of you, Shafter. Schefter says the deal is not done.
Other insiders are reporting the deal is done.

Speaker 1 Have a little bit of a source off, but it sounds like Quinn Williams is headed to the Dallas Community.

Speaker 4 To get it done, but

Speaker 4 they're still processing it right now.

Speaker 1 Still processing.

Speaker 1 He's gone. I'm Shrepper.

Speaker 1 Jerry Jones knows that his defense just needs a little bit of assistance, makes play for Logan Wilson. Now Quinn Williams.
What is this message from Jerry Jones?

Speaker 1 And how do you think the Dallas Cowboys react going forward?

Speaker 3 That's huge. I mean, Quinn Williams is one of the best young defensive linemen in the league.
And I don't know what the hell the Jets are doing.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Restart.
They're accruing on the Browns.

Speaker 3 That's cool.

Speaker 3 Who the hell are these guys they're getting?

Speaker 1 Quinn and Williams. They have to be able to draft another one.
Yeah.

Speaker 3 they just run off trees.

Speaker 1 Yeah, they surround.

Speaker 3 Soft guarders, they just run off trees. I got known players that are young and legit, and I'm giving them away for the unknown.
How many unknown? To me, it doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 1 No sense. Yeah, but whenever you traded that fourth rounder for Gronk, you could have got them.
You know what I mean? You could have got them.

Speaker 3 It's different when you're talking about fourth rounders, brother.

Speaker 1 No, but first rounders, too. I feel this way.
And I assume coaches feel this way as well.

Speaker 1 And I don't know why, if that's why not as many ex-players are running teams or making decisions, but it's like with the amount of guys that I've seen get drafted that were supposed to be really good come into our building and just be ass.

Speaker 1 And it's like, okay, are we willing to roll the dice on a proven guy or this guy that has a lot of potential? Now, there's been guys that have come in and been great.

Speaker 1 I'm not saying that's not the case, but if you look at the law of averages and the percentages of people that hit and people that miss in the NFL draft, it's like there's a lot more misses than there is hits.

Speaker 1 So you get a guy that's a hit.

Speaker 1 It's like, we hit on a guy especially that organization we hit on a guy and everybody loves him and he's funny yeah he is incredibly entertaining uh ari mirov at my sports update is reporting uh the expected trade is expected trade oh no we're not doing we're not doing that we're taking that down we're not doing any expected trades here because did you expect 20 williams to be traded absolutely not well with your point on like the first round picks too like the last couple years in the draft process when we've talked to these people who are draft experts and put all this time in they've basically said like a lot of organizations only have 10 to 15 first-round grades on the players in the first round.

Speaker 7 So it's like,

Speaker 7 if you look at yourself and see that you're going to be picking in the back half of the first round, like, is that really as valuable as it was 10 years ago pre-NIL when it's like, hey, guys are maybe staying in school longer and there aren't as many bona fide first-round picks in every draft.

Speaker 1 Jay Glazer back on the news. What's he saying?

Speaker 1 Teams are finalizing Compensathium, but as of now, Cowboy's trading a second-round pick this year and a first-round pick next year for Pro Bowl D-tackle Quinn and Williams. Thanks, Coopid.

Speaker 1 Thank you, Jay Glazer, for getting the bottom of it. I like that he kind of poked himself back out into the world.
Say, you know what? It's a Tuesday.

Speaker 1 I might want to drop a little something on something.

Speaker 7 He still runs the tri-state area.

Speaker 1 If he wants to. Yeah.
That's kind of the decision that Jay Glazer's got to make, especially now that he's married. Shout out to the Tennyson Twins as well.

Speaker 1 And we obviously love Jay Glazer on this particular program. Been around a long time.
So a second-round pick and a first-round pick for Quinn and Williams, allegedly, is what's being reported.

Speaker 1 Still figuring it out. What does that mean?

Speaker 1 What does that mean? What could that mean? They're still trying to figure it out.

Speaker 3 It's just dollars and cents and contracts.

Speaker 1 You know, it's lawyer talk now. Okay, and you know,

Speaker 1 lawyer talk is tough to understand. That's why you need to get other lawyers.
And your lawyers need to talk to their lawyers. And these things like to just talk amongst their own language.

Speaker 1 And then all of a sudden, you're sitting there, is this thing?

Speaker 2 Do we? Can we watch Monday Night Football?

Speaker 1 Can we, please?

Speaker 1 Please, can we please watch Monday Night Football?

Speaker 3 Hopefully, my lawyer is the number one pick.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you would

Speaker 1 certainly hope that. Yeah, you would certainly hope that.
All right, Quinn Williams to the Dallas Cowboys. Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts.
A.D.

Speaker 1 Mitchell back to the New York Jets from the Indianapolis Colts during the Sauce Gardner trade. Logan Wilson goes to the Dallas Cowboys.
Draymond Jones goes from the Titans to the Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 7 Jacoby Myers.

Speaker 1 Jacoby Myers, huge trade from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Shaheed to the Seahawks.
Rasheed Shahid from the Saints to the Seattle Seahawks. Is that everything?

Speaker 7 I think so, as of everything from today.

Speaker 1 Yeah, from today. All right, without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, we had a chance to catch up with the guy who kicked the longest field goal in the history of the NFL this past weekend.

Speaker 1 We've tried to do this a couple times now. This man brings good news, big news, especially whenever he's on this show.
Cam Little.

Speaker 1 Ladies and gentlemen, the man who holds the longest field goal in the history of the NFL. And it's not even his longest that he has kicked in an NFL sanctioned game.

Speaker 1 Ladies and gentlemen, 68-yard bomber from the Jacksonville Jaguars and Wu Pig Suey. Ladies and gentlemen, Cam Gettle.

Speaker 9 Pleasure to be on the show. I'm excited, man.

Speaker 1 Always wanted to be on the show.

Speaker 1 Peace,

Speaker 1 Suey. There it is.
Yeah, we always get it wrong.

Speaker 1 Yeah, we try our best, Cam.

I don't think you're the one.

Speaker 9 No, that's a very fair statement.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Little's your last name. I don't think you're tiny, but you're certainly not one of these massive guys.
Have you always had an incredibly strong leg?

Speaker 1 Like in soccer, whenever you were growing up, were you always the free kick taker? Always had a strong leg? And how did you get to this point?

Speaker 9 Yes, I think that's where I kind of first started. I was always good at taking free kicks and penalty kicks and all that stuff kind of tied into me learning how to kick a football.
And obviously,

Speaker 9 going to Kohl's camps growing up, I never really had the fastest leg. And I developed a little later in my high school career when I was going to these camps, I saw guys that had faster legs than me.

Speaker 9 And I would always ask him, How are you guys getting your legs faster? Like, because at the end of the day, that's what gets you the most power on the ball.

Speaker 9 And so, you know, started developing a faster leg. And now it's like my best trade as a kicker because obviously I'm a six foot one, 175-pound pound guy that cannot squat a huge amount.

Speaker 1 Vinny, whenever I got there, you know, I used to be a kicker in college and I had a strong leg, but I had no idea where the ball was going.

Speaker 1 So his big thing was like, hey, you cannot sacrifice the sweet spot. So if you have to swing 85% to hit the sweet spot, do that.
If you have to swing 75% to hit the sweet spot, do that.

Speaker 1 Now, granted, if you can swing hundo and hit the sweet spot, that is where the magic, that is where the magic comes. And that's where the Cam Littles of the world come in, I do believe.

Speaker 1 This generation of kickers bombing it further than ever. You had a 70-yarder in preseason against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Everybody loses their mind. You're like, holy hell.

Speaker 1 And obviously the conversations about Aubrey in Dallas. You hitting that 68-yarder now against the Raiders because of the the 70 yarder.
Were you confident walking out there?

Speaker 1 This was going to be a make? Like that obviously has to be the mindset, but 68 is so, you're so much closer to the other uprights than the ones that you're kicking to.

Speaker 1 What is the mentality as you're walking out there, Cam?

Speaker 9 Yeah, I mean, you kind of go out there and Logan, obviously, Logan and Ross both do a great job of prepping me for this stuff.

Speaker 9 Logan always thinks I hit the ball the best when I'm swinging the hardest. And so I told him right as I was going out there to spot it, I said, I'm swinging hard at this football.

Speaker 9 I'm making sure that I'm going to drill this thing. And so, you know, I spot the ball and I'm looking down at the spot and I tell him that.
And he's like, hit that ball hard, bull.

Speaker 1 And

Speaker 9 ball hard and hit it hard and obviously stayed left middle and just stuck dead straight down that left middle the whole time.

Speaker 9 And, you know, you go out there and you prep so much from deep and practice and, you know, you're working with your op for fun back there at 60 plus sometimes.

Speaker 9 And then for it to finally come to fruition again was so cool.

Speaker 1 Yeah, in a real game, too. They won't give you credit for that 70 yarder.
You know, they won't give you credit. They won't give you credit.

Speaker 1 We will, obviously, because we've seen it before, but 68 in the history books forever, brother, at least for the time being. Now, talking about hitting that 68 yarder, last night there was an op.

Speaker 1 Go ahead, Tone. Yeah, Cam.

Speaker 8 I don't know if you were watching the game at all or not, but when Aubrey goes back to 68, and we had mentioned it yesterday on the show, we were like, oh, the 68, you know, this could get broken this season.

Speaker 8 Aubrey's going tonight, and then he steps back to 68. Is he one of the guys, like, when you go back and you're like, oh, no, like, is he going to do it tonight? Is he going to top me tonight?

Speaker 9 Yeah,

Speaker 1 I actually wasn't watching the game, game but i had got a facetime call um from someone and they're like dude you're watching this game right now and i was like no what's happening he's like no aubrey's about to tempt a 68 and i was like yep he's gonna make it one day i get one day that is a funny 63 and 63 lived forever then 64 then we get to 66 you hit 68 it almost only had a 24-hour shelf life that is a wild thing to think about Yeah, it's actually crazy to think about.

Speaker 9 And I was talking to the media the other day and I was like, you know, this record is going to get broken this season i i want to live through this record you know i obviously selfishly i want the record but there's so many guys around the nfl that are so good at kicking footballs now that i have a feeling it will get broken you look at brandon aubrey for instance you look at jake bates 64 twice last year in the ufl he's hit 60 plus with the lions and so you look at guys that have that leg leg strength and it it's honestly just impressive i think everybody has the legs well not everybody i saw a couple people come up short and then you know some people were getting the qb ball in there instead of the k-ball let's talk about the balls a little little bit.

Speaker 1 How's it feel going in? And I know you're just a young ass, you know, kicker. You have no idea what it was like back in the day.
Okay.

Speaker 1 You don't know what it was like with the brand new balls coming in to the games. But this year, obviously, huge changes, the K-ball.
Everybody's talking about it.

Speaker 1 From your perspective, can you give your take on the K-ball being brought into the game as opposed to a brand new ball?

Speaker 9 Yeah, I can.

Speaker 9 Thankfully, we have. the best equipment staff that we have a guy that is so good at breaking in footballs.

Speaker 9 Like last year, you know, we would get him, obviously, the rule change where you can get it through the week and you can use it three weeks and it's got to be out.

Speaker 9 But last year you had to break in, obviously, you know, the ball 30 minutes before the game, you got a guy in there breaking that thing in.

Speaker 9 Like, it's, it's, yeah, like literally sitting there sweating in drenching sweat trying to break in the football. And so our guy did a really good job last year breaking the footballs in.

Speaker 9 And so we had a good K-ball last year. And I thought,

Speaker 9 you know, going into this year, it does give you that bit of edge of you can hit the ball just about about three or four yards farther, I think, but I don't think it's enough to give guys, not give guys enough credit because I think guys are just, yes, the K-ball is going to make you kick the ball farther, but I think guys in the NFL are just getting more talented.

Speaker 9 I mean, you look, Brandon Aubrey, just we'll speak on him for a sec. He's had four 60 plus yards this season, three 60 plus yards this season or something like that.

Speaker 9 And so, and he was doing that last year too. He hit a 66 in preseason last year, and that's with the old ball.

Speaker 9 So I think guys are just getting more talented and specialists from high school school to college to the NFL are just getting that more talented.

Speaker 9 And I think that probably has more to do with it than the cable. That's my personal opinion, though.

Speaker 1 Now, I think you're accurate in saying that. Now, from you said three to four more yards for the ball coming in for the game, we talk about brand new ball.
It's like 15 yards.

Speaker 1 Brand new ball out of the box, 15, 20.

Speaker 9 Brand ball out of the box is a lot different. Yes.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's a nightmare. Mentally, too, though.
I think going onto the field knowing that the ball is a ball that you've kicked before, mentally.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I think that probably helps. And I would like to say, as a, I'm 38 now.
How old are you?

Speaker 9 22.

Speaker 1 Jesus Christ.

Speaker 1 Youngest kicker ever drafted in the NFL, by the way. He was youngest guy ever drafted in the NFL.
Absolute beast. With that being said, not easy to get drafted at the kicking position.

Speaker 1 But like, I kicked the soccer ball like 124 miles an hour. Okay.
I kicked like a 70-yard field goal when I was in high school. Okay.
So I had a very strong leg.

Speaker 1 I think people would say, hey, this guy had a very strong leg. Now, did I know where it was headed? No.

Speaker 1 I mean, that thing was, you know, there's a good chance that thing was traveling. But nowadays, your guys' leg strength is just, it's, I don't even think I'd be top 15, top 20 in the league right now.

Speaker 1 And you talk about how like the evolution, it all becomes from what, perfect, perfecting technique throughout high school with Jamie Cole and Nicole brothers. Yeah.

Speaker 1 And then also exercising and everything. Do you think there's going to be a peak for this? Like, do you think you guys are going to continue to go? Because you're 22.

Speaker 1 You're only going to get stronger somehow if this really works out.

Speaker 9 I think

Speaker 9 even from last season to this season, I think my leg has just gotten that bit stronger. Like, yeah, I was hitting from 60 60 plus last year, but I think.

Speaker 1 70, that one would have been good from like 72 you hit there in Las Vegas. I think that hit the net, bro.
That hit the fucking net.

Speaker 9 And so, like, you you make that little jump and it was like, dude, I didn't think my leg could get stronger from last year, but it has.

Speaker 9 And like you said, guys are just going to keep setting the peak higher and higher. Eventually, we're going to see someone hit a 75-yarder.

Speaker 9 So I think it's just evolving, and I think it will just keep peaking until eventually it can't peak anymore.

Speaker 9 When that will be, we have no clue because because there's going to be someone that's going to set it again.

Speaker 1 Feels like it's not within the next 10 years with your little ass coming through their entire thing. Also, having a great team around you and coaching staff is a part of it.
Go ahead, Con Man.

Speaker 6 Yeah, Cam, how's your relationship with Liam Cohen? We've kind of heard a few different coaches talk this past week. Matt LaFleur says, you know, he doesn't speak to the kicker.

Speaker 6 We saw Sean Payton, you know, bark at Will Luss before his game winner.

Speaker 1 Hey, right through.

Speaker 6 What is your relationship with Liam Cohen? And did you get that shiner from the celebration after hitting that 68 yarder?

Speaker 9 I'll answer that question first. I got bit by a dog when I was five.
I was eating a bologna sandwich and got bit by a dog. Jumped up, tried to get my bologna sandwich, but it didn't.

Speaker 9 It didn't get my bologna sandwich, bit me in the eye.

Speaker 1 Hell yeah. You finished that bologna sandwich.
Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
That's what you did. All right.

Speaker 9 No, but man, Liam has been such a good,

Speaker 9 just head coach to me. And I know sometimes you don't have the best relationship as far as head coach specialists.
They kind of want to leave you alone and let you do your thing. But I think

Speaker 9 he instills a lot of confidence in me throughout the week, throughout prep, throughout pregame. And, you know, we have a very good relationship with each other.
And, you know,

Speaker 9 throughout, you know, kind of prep this week, you know, during field goal period, he's out there, nice operation, nice kicks, you know, nice punts, Logan.

Speaker 9 So that's something for me that is huge to hear out of my head coach because as a specialist unit, we want to know that our head coach is involved with us.

Speaker 9 We want him to be, you know, acting like it knowing it's a big deal. And so so Liam is a superstar about that.

Speaker 9 And I can't thank him enough as a head coach because he does care a lot about us as specialists. And

Speaker 9 that one-on-one relationship is forever indebted.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I'm happy you're an athlete. You know, some of these kickers, you know them.
You've been to those kicking camps, not athletes.

Speaker 1 And that's like who these coaches, like, I'm not talking to the kicker. I'm not talking to kicker.
You're treating them as if they're not athletes.

Speaker 1 Like, hey, these guys are just coming out to do their. You can tell how much the coach respects the athleticism of the kicker with how they interact with each other.

Speaker 1 LaFleur saying, I I don't talk to kickers is like, okay. He's a dickhead.
Thank you for that. That's exactly

Speaker 1 how I would view this. Vinotary.
Imagine LaFleur saying, I don't talk that Vinotary.

Speaker 1 Motherfucker, I don't talk to you either. Like, what are we even talking about? So I respect and appreciate that.

Speaker 1 And I don't know if you heard Liam Cohen say, he felt like he won the Super Bowl after you hit that. He said, he said, it felt like we won the Super Bowl after he hit that because of the excitement.

Speaker 1 Now, you guys had to go out in the second half and overtime and go win that game. and you were able to do that.
But I love how much Liam has supported you.

Speaker 2 And I like how many opportunities he's given you because of the amount of shit he's seen you do in practice on that note you made history brother it'll live on forever d-but has a question for you absolutely we had a chance to go down to uh canton uh the hall of fame and they do a great job preserving different things from the game and you said history you made history so have you put any thought about or do they just come in and take what they're going to put in the hall of fame to be enshrined forever man i'm uh i'm definitely keeping the football That's 100%.

Speaker 9 And I'm still deciding if I'm going to give him my jersey or not, but I think I might let it go and let Canton have that one.

Speaker 1 Let the jersey roll, bro. Let the jersey roll.
Canton, dude, the fact they'll put your ass. They'll have lights on that thing.
They'll have a picture of you. Do it right.
Keep the ball for sure.

Speaker 1 Have that.

Speaker 9 I still have the ball from the 70s as well. Actually, I was telling my coordinator, my ball, I haven't put it on a plaque yet.

Speaker 9 It's actually sitting in my pantry right next to some protein bars in my pantry. I haven't moved it yet.
So

Speaker 1 it's 22 years old. It's not 22.

Speaker 1 This guy's got no idea about life, okay?

Speaker 1 We need to get those things in some frames. We need those things lit up with LED.
We need them put on the wall because you're doing special stuff, brother. Legitimately.
Very special stuff.

Speaker 1 It's been an honor to kind of watch you go about doing your thing. 22-year-old, this guy has no idea about life at this point.
Who cares? Ty has a question for you.

Speaker 7 Yeah, Cam, speaking of all that, you know, you being an athlete and the relationship you have with Coach Cohen, like at this point, you know, if you're going back to 70, people are, you know, you're kind of in that Aubrey territory.

Speaker 7 If you maybe talk to him a little bit, like, hey,

Speaker 7 maybe we do like a fake field goal pass here.

Speaker 7 You give me the opportunity to throw a 70-yard touchdown, or maybe I just, I tuck and run and I give a couple people a few shoulders to chew on, you know, and maybe I get a 70-yard touchdown run.

Speaker 7 Like, is there any of that kind of stuff going on behind the scenes now?

Speaker 9 Man, I think there's a funny story. Actually, me and Logan, my holder and the punter,

Speaker 9 were talking about. trying to, you know, what does a fake field goal look like? And I was like, dude, do you think I could ever run a fake field goal?

Speaker 9 And he goes, if you ever ever had the ball in your hands, I would be extremely worried. One, because I think you would get broken in half.
And two, you can't throw.

Speaker 1 And Logan's a beast, though. Logan is a beast.

Speaker 9 He's an athlete. You talk about a guy that's an athlete, man.
That guy, talk about his punting. That dude is unbelievable.
I know we're talking about fake field goals.

Speaker 9 That guy is unbelievable at punting the football and throwing the football.

Speaker 9 So to have a guy like that in my room that's leading me and to have a guy like Ross snapping it, two-time all-pro snapper and a all-pro punter last year both pro bowlers like they set me up for success and those guys are a leader what they do so it makes my job a lot easier that's a good place to be when you got a snapper and a holder they're all pro alongside you and then you got a kicker that can hit from 68 and 70.

Speaker 1 Liam Cohen's living a good life whenever it comes to special teams please tell Logan Cook we're massive fans that big country fucking bomb balls dude
