Speaker 2 Hello, beautiful people, and welcome to our humble abode, the Thunderdome.
Speaker 3 On this Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, this sports program begins now.
Speaker 5 Football is magical, and I'll tell you what, the next couple of days might be the greatest we've had in some time.
Speaker 8 Tomorrow, Thanksgiving.
Speaker 10 We hope you have a great one with your family and your friends, and we hope there's no disagreements, no drama.
Speaker 5 We hope everybody kumbayaz around the fact that we're together and celebrating life and celebrating football in a huge way.
Speaker 12 One o'clock kickoff, as opposed to the normal noon kickoff.
Speaker 21 Don't love that.
Speaker 23 A lot of people schedule their Thanksgiving to start around noon, noon 30.
Speaker 13 This adds about another 45 minutes of time where there could potentially be something not about football that comes up.
Speaker 27 Don't love the NFL doing that, but what I do love is the slate they put together.
Speaker 7 Green Bay taking on Detroit.
Speaker 29 Halftime show, Jack White.
Speaker 2 Could just do that.
Speaker 30 Should just do that. Whole place would go crazy.
Speaker 5 He might actually shut us down just for doing that.
Speaker 34 That song is very protective because of how much it is loved.
Speaker 36 That particular lick right there makes everybody go crazy.
Speaker 39 I was very fortunate and lucky enough to have that song for WrestleMania whenever I was taking on Austin Theory.
Speaker 43 And one of the most electrifying situations.
Speaker 44 So where's he at?
Speaker 2 Hopefully in a hole.
Speaker 1 Probably looking at himself in the mirror, but like, look at my muscles.
Speaker 2 Oh, all right.
Speaker 45 I hear what you guys are saying.
Speaker 48 And I beat him at WrestleMania, but I mean, he was like the picture-perfect sports center.
Speaker 2 Where the hell is he? He was awesome. He was, oh, yeah, where is he?
Speaker 49 Where is he?
Speaker 50 Would probably be okay with seeing him, you know, from time to time.
Speaker 41 Anything, anything like, nonetheless.
Speaker 2 That's a business.
Speaker 47 Jack White will absolutely crush it at halftime.
Speaker 10 And the Green Bay Packers need one.
Speaker 15 And Detroit needs one.
Speaker 52 Detroit favored by three at home.
Speaker 53 That's wild.
Speaker 2 Foxy, how do you feel on this Thanksgiving as opposed to a Thanksgiving maybe 10 years ago when Lions fans, the annual tradition of everybody from around Detroit was, let's gather around in the freezing cold and watch our Lions suck for 30 years.
Speaker 60 And the NFL is going to force us all and force the world to see our team.
Speaker 61 There's going to be some electrifying players.
Speaker 23 Matthew Stafford was through there.
Speaker 62 Calvin Johnson, obviously, and way back, Barry Sanders machine was there.
Speaker 22 But this team's probably inevitably going to break the hearts of their fans.
Speaker 63 And it's going to be electrifying for the other side.
Speaker 24 Now, Foxy, favored against the Packers at home with Jack White at halftime.
Speaker 2 Eminem directing it.
Speaker 66 Let's assume he's dropping in.
Speaker 35 I hope so. He's the director-producer of the halftime performance.
Speaker 16 I think that's the reason why they got Jack White.
Speaker 63 I think Jack White is like not an easy booking.
Speaker 68 I don't think that is something that is just necessarily easy to do.
Speaker 24 So maybe Eminem drops in there.
Speaker 69 MCDC now, third, fourth.
Speaker 13 We call in plays.
Speaker 71 We're going to be all the way back in it.
Speaker 27 How do you feel going into Thanksgiving?
Speaker 72 Yeah, it is normally Thanksgiving tradition in the Fox household to watch the Lions absolutely lose heartbreaking fashion, the worst thing ever until MCDC was hired.
Speaker 73 Now we're sitting here. We're seven and four.
Speaker 72
Did we look great against the Giants? No, but we won. A win's a win.
We'll take it.
Speaker 72 If you would have told me 10 years ago when I was sitting in my living room with all my aunts, uncles, and everyone watching the Lions lose, that we'd be 7-4 with a chance to win the NFC at North, a chance to win the Super Bowl, I'd be fired up on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 72 So I'll be back to the top of the top.
Speaker 2 Think about that boy.
Speaker 74 Think about that, little boy.
Speaker 59 Exactly.
Speaker 72 And I think a lot of Lions fans need to think about that. We've come a long way since.
Speaker 2 The little boys and little girls up there in Detroit.
Speaker 72
We've scored the second most points in the NFL still, and everyone thinks our O-line stinks. Everyone thinks golf stinks.
Everyone thinks our offense stinks.
Speaker 2 No, we're fine.
Speaker 21 You know, it's the most points.
Speaker 75 The Colts, they're not playing on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 77 They should be.
Speaker 23 I've had the honor of playing in the Turkey Bowl of all Turkey Bowls on Thanksgiving. We took on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaker 79 It was a legendary evening, but watching ball on Thanksgiving is just a part of Americana at this point.
Speaker 16 Green Bay Packers need one here?
Speaker 13 Is that how you're viewing it?
Speaker 52 Or Green Bay Packers ready and prime to put on a show for the entire country and kick off Thanksgiving in a lot of homes?
Speaker 50
Yeah, I think so, but at the same token, you know, absolutely need one here. It was a couple years ago on Thanksgiving.
The Packers went into Detroit. They were seven and a half point dogs.
Speaker 50
They were sitting at three and six. They won that game, and that kind of catapulted them.
And Jordan Love's first year as a starter to make the playoffs and everyone's saying, hey, he's a guy.
Speaker 50 Now it's completely flipped. You know, the offense.
Speaker 50
to the you know exact opposite of Detroit. Like the offense isn't great, but the defense is going to keep him in most games.
And it's just getting Michael Parsons is used to donning.
Speaker 49 Michael?
Speaker 50 Yeah, Michael is used to donning that uh that star on the side of his helmet on thanksgiving well now he gets to he gets to don that g on the side of his helmet exactly and he just i mean he's a he's a big-time performer i think he loves you know the the moment the situation so i'm very excited for this game i just hope it's a good one i hope it's not like a 10-7.
Speaker 50 we don't need to be sleepy that early in the morning going into you know your second plate and all that kind of stuff so i hope it's a good one i got good news for you very rarely is a game sleepy with jameer Gibbs on the field.
Speaker 81 Obviously, he has three of the top five speeds that have been reached this season.
Speaker 82 Now, fastest guy, obviously, Jonathan Taylor.
Speaker 2
Obviously. I mean, this guy's moving faster than schools.
Speed limits.
Speaker 36 It was early. He was going hot.
Speaker 16 He started out hot, 22.38 miles an hour. Now you got 22 miles an hour, 0.3, 22.23, 22.17.
Speaker 23
And then Brian Thomas Jr., obviously wide receiver representing there at 22.13 miles an hour. Jameer Gibbs is electrifying.
I mean, that number zero is worth the watch, worth the price of admission.
Speaker 14 And if Jared Goffin and boys can get going, I think this could be an electrifying Thanksgiving.
Speaker 86 But with the way these teams have been playing, it does feel like we are in for a little bit of a cagey affair early, but maybe some highlights will take place.
Speaker 44 And then obviously, Boston Conner, that second game, down there in big day work.
Speaker 2 Oh, yeah.
Speaker 89 Kansas City, fresh off a huge win over the best team in the NFL.
Speaker 90 Fresh off a massive comeback, overtime dub over the Indianapolis Colts.
Speaker 14 Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelsey and Andy Reid, three and a half point favorites taking on the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas.
Speaker 92 Now, Post Malone's the halftime performer, which obviously has such a deep connection to Dallas and the Cowboys.
Speaker 2 There's some stories coming out about Post Malone literally being born and raised almost with the Dallas Cowboys and everything like that.
Speaker 22 And we appreciate the hell out of his showmanship.
Speaker 44 I got a chance to watch him live at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 93 Post is going to put on a show.
Speaker 94 That guy gets out there and comes.
Speaker 20 He comes a lot.
Speaker 30 He is supposed to be in front of humans.
Speaker 85 So I'm excited for that particular.
Speaker 36 Feels like the NFL is putting on a show.
Speaker 60 Yeah.
Speaker 23 Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, what are you looking forward to most in that?
Speaker 23 Dak Prescott and the boys showcasing resiliency last week, and George Pickens maybe becoming the best wide receiver in the ball?
Speaker 23 Or is it Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelsey, and the boys in the Kansas City Chiefs
Speaker 16 train coming all the way back to being who they are?
Speaker 49 Kind of love both of them, just because it's desperation time for both teams. Like, there's nothing better than watching two teams who have to win in order for their season to continue.
Speaker 49 Like, the first game, Packers and Lions, no matter how that kind of ends up, they're both going to be in it. For the Chiefs and the Cowboys, it's kind of winner-go-home.
Speaker 49 You could probably argue the Chiefs aren't going home if they lose, but the Cowboys definitely are. Huge loss for the Chiefs is starting right guard Trey Smith.
Speaker 49 That's going to be huge, especially with Quinn Williams, Frank Clark, Osa
Speaker 49 in the middle as well for the defensive line,
Speaker 49
front of the program, defensive line for the Cowboys. But I'm just excited to watch the offenses, man.
The biggest thing with Thanksgiving is the 10-7 games. That just can't happen.
Speaker 2 Can't have that.
Speaker 49 Mahomes is firing on all cylinders.
Speaker 36 Dak's firing on on all cylinders i'm more excited though for the cowboys because i i really hope they go on a run here yeah everybody likes the cowboys and ba said they've dug themselves too deep of a hole especially with the division and where it sits for them to make it into the playoffs but that would be an incredible story at the end of the year if the dallas cowboys are the best dallas cowboys that we've ever seen over the last 10 years and they can't make the playoffs because of how ass they were at the beginning of the year on the defensive side of the ball feels like their defense has kind of got it figured out and you talk about that front four that the Dallas Cowboys have that are very dominant.
Speaker 44 Let's go to 12-year NFL event, Super Bowl champion, offensive lineman, guru, ladies and gentlemen, in the trenches.
Speaker 85 AQ Shipley's here.
Speaker 2 Yeah, baby, guru.
Speaker 95 Happy Thanksgiving, AQ.
Speaker 37 Thank you for traveling out here.
Speaker 83 We hope you are spectacular.
Speaker 97 Trey Smith being out there, is that game changer?
Speaker 52 Because we've seen when Patrick Mahomes doesn't have a lot of protection, it is very problematic for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 1 Yeah, he relies on a very good offensive line, and when he doesn't have his best offensive lineman in Trey Smith, I think it's a huge problem. The backup Caliendo serves as
Speaker 1 not Frank, but Caliendo.
Speaker 91 Frank Caliendo is a real talent.
Speaker 2 He's real son, right?
Speaker 1 That's right.
Speaker 1
But listen, I think Josh Simmons being back as his left tackle is huge. He played fantastic.
Super athletic guy, left tackle, first-round pick, using the chop. You know, a lot of guys.
Speaker 76 The Deion Dawkins.
Speaker 1
Yeah, the Deion Dawkins. They like to call penalties on that.
They did not. He had about seven of them, so he'll probably get called for three of them this week because they see it on film.
Speaker 1 But listen, Calindo being in there needs to step up because Trey Smith's an absolute weapon.
Speaker 9 Okay, so let's talk about the interior.
Speaker 99 We saw Patrick Mahomes in a Super Bowl against you guys, running for his life.
Speaker 63 We see whenever Patrick Mahomes doesn't have success, it's normally because the offensive line cannot allow him to develop.
Speaker 63 Their Their offense, after watching it last week, they got all their speedback.
Speaker 9 Rasheed Rice, Xavier Worthy, and they were just doing this to us.
Speaker 83 This Andy Reid was going, all right, we've run out of cross and route plays, but I think you guys get the hint here, right?
Speaker 22 We're just one of you is gonna be on this side, the other one's gonna be on this side, and then you guys are just going through the shit.
Speaker 22 And Sauce and Moody are gonna have to keep up, and they're gonna get lost in the sauce.
Speaker 44 And it was either Rashid Rice or Xavier Worthy.
Speaker 9 That was literally the entire game, all the way through.
Speaker 2 Over everything, the entire offense was these two guys being so fast.
Speaker 104 And then they got a couple of tight ends that are able to cook in the middle.
Speaker 15 And then obviously, if you're able to get the run game going with Kareem Hunt, who has had a hell of a second, third career here.
Speaker 2 And Pacheco back.
Speaker 93 And Pacheco back.
Speaker 11 That's huge news for Thanksgiving for America that we get Pacheco back.
Speaker 21 It's like it all depends kind of on the offensive line being good, right?
Speaker 5 Isn't that kind of the Kansas City Chiefs story?
Speaker 1
Well, if you remember a couple of years ago, we talked about it. Andy Reid throws it, throws it all over the yard in the regular season.
Remember a couple of years ago, we talked about it.
Speaker 1
Once the playoffs start, we get the run game going. He starts to lean on that run game.
They start to play.
Speaker 1 If you remember a couple years ago, they went into Baltimore and just ran it down their throats en route to a Super Bowl appearance, right? Obviously, they need to get that going.
Speaker 1
This was a playoff game for them. They were back, backs against the wall, and they had 41 rushing attempts.
They ran for almost 150 yards.
Speaker 1 They started to bring out all of the running formations, and that obviously opened up the mesh game in the past game.
Speaker 91 Patrick Mahomes, okay,
Speaker 28 needs to not get hit.
Speaker 46 We don't need America seeing him get hit on Thursday.
Speaker 2 Now, Grant, if it's a sack, take him through the grind.
Speaker 76 But we don't need him running around trying to run people over.
Speaker 93 And that is a new part of his game this year.
Speaker 69 And I know he's always been active.
Speaker 63 There's the plays in the past where he's literally levitated on his left arm and scored a touchdown.
Speaker 11 And he always talks about how he has a little bit of athleticism.
Speaker 23 Patrick Mahomes has been described as a long time as a sneaky athletic man,
Speaker 5 which is a crazy thing to talk about, but it is very real.
Speaker 2 This year, after seeing him in Texas Tech, I think he has put on some weight, and I think he feels a little bit more like a dominant runner.
Speaker 76 He said he's delivering the hits, not taking the hits. Mentality, Mentality, I don't like that at all for the guy that we need to be watching on TV every single week.
Speaker 5 But I do think that's an added element, especially if they're going to have to go ahead and keep track of these new speedsters on the outside.
Speaker 30 Patrick Mahomes getting stuff with his feet, very alive this year.
Speaker 15 Like, not that it wasn't in the past, but this year it's like more so than ever.
Speaker 2 He's looking to become mobile guy more this year than maybe we've seen him.
Speaker 24 And it's not just like extending plays to throw the wasp or whatever the hell he was throwing to Tyreek Hill.
Speaker 105 It's he's going.
Speaker 31 He's trying to get some shit.
Speaker 14 It's like Chiefs team can be fun. Huge win over the Colts.
Speaker 2
I mean, let's see. Huge.
Huge win over the Colts.
Speaker 49
You also mentioned Tyreek Hill there. I believe four of Tyreek Hill's last five tweets on Sunday were about the Chiefs.
So a lot of people are like, oh, that's interesting.
Speaker 49 Tyreek Hill, maybe, maybe not getting cut from the Dolphins because that wouldn't make sense, but maybe getting traded back there for next season if all doesn't go well for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 49 So another thing to watch on Thanksgiving will be Tyreek Hill's Twitter.
Speaker 44 Yeah, because he's probably going to be pretty active in the entire thing.
Speaker 38 Also, another thing to see about Tyreek Hill, not in the top five ball carriers there.
Speaker 85 Zero Tyreek Hills in there in the top five, which is a crazy change of times.
Speaker 14 And let's go to the nighttime, the primetime game on Thanksgiving and nightcap for the AFC North on NBC.
Speaker 109 Cincinnati with Joe Burrow returning.
Speaker 74 Hey, Daddy, Joe.
Speaker 2 Joey B.
Speaker 35 Thanksgiving treat.
Speaker 2
Yep. It is.
Cool, Joe.
Speaker 74 Joey Burr coming back.
Speaker 82 That's going to be fantastic.
Speaker 36 Jamar Chase also coming back.
Speaker 55 He was suspended from home on Jalen Ramsey's face.
Speaker 22 He's apologized to everybody.
Speaker 6 He said he would like to move on. Let's play.
Speaker 78 I'm happy Joey B's back.
Speaker 93 Let's go ahead and play football.
Speaker 5 They're going to be on a mission.
Speaker 18 This Baltimore Ravens defense, obviously, we've seen some good.
Speaker 98 We've seen some suspect.
Speaker 13 And now they're trending in a direction where everybody thinks they're going to continue to win out, win out, win out, win out, win out.
Speaker 77 Cincinnati Bengals, especially on Thanksgiving, Joe Burrow back, Jamar Chase back, Lamar Jackson on the other side.
Speaker 24 This one has fireworks written all over it.
Speaker 76 Does it not, Tone?
Speaker 8 Yeah, it does.
Speaker 112
Joe Burrow always plays really well against the Ravens. He loves playing in Baltimore.
He has admitted that.
Speaker 112 And this one had all the makings to potentially be a shite bowl when it came out when we saw it when Joe Burrow was hurt. And like just because the Bengals record had had that chance.
Speaker 112
But now that Joe's back, all the teammates have talked about how they have the responsibility to step up and play well for Joe. Jamar is going to want to play really well.
Baltimore is winning.
Speaker 112 They are now first in the AFC North, but they haven't looked incredible yet. They're winning these games, but they're tight.
Speaker 112
Lamar has been banged up. Derrick Henry hasn't got going officially yet.
So I think this is like a statement game for potentially Baltimore.
Speaker 112 And then since he's getting Joe back, so they're going to be trying as hard as they possibly can at three
Speaker 112 and eight. So I think it's going to be a good game.
Speaker 8 to echo your point derrick henry had two touchdowns this past weekend but the story had been it hasn't been a derrick henry season like it has been in the past maybe they have found giving the ball to the 6'5 250 pound guy who's somehow faster than he's ever been derrick henry absolute stud he's a show in of itself so thanksgiving day should have great ball oh yeah that means there's zero conflicts around thanksgiving dinner tables huge pennies
Speaker 2 yeah
Speaker 2 No conflict.
Speaker 49 Some good conversations, though. I already sent over a couple talking points I want to hit.
Speaker 26 Oh, you put some concepts in there?
Speaker 49 Oh, yeah, and they're going to cause some drama.
Speaker 103 No, no drama.
Speaker 56 Let's do football because here's another.
Speaker 70 Maybe you talk about this.
Speaker 25 Lil John, halftime performer, Cincinnati versus Balls.
Speaker 2 Wow.
Speaker 2 What?
Speaker 2 Holy shit. Yeah.
Speaker 2 Wow. All of it.
Speaker 11 We're talking just bangers after bangers after bangers.
Speaker 77 That place is going to be upside down at the bank.
Speaker 44 It's going to be a.
Speaker 87 I heard there's a chance Bud is going to be in there.
Speaker 2 Stavi's going to be in there. I think they're even going to give a what?
Speaker 111 Yeah, I mean, it's going to be a whole little John.
Speaker 2 Can't help but,
Speaker 28 you know, that's the only reason he made music i think was to make you yeah move
Speaker 2 so that's what thanksgiving night's gonna feel it that's what you should add into the conversation pieces for thanksgiving it'll be family and friends it'll be in there hopefully the cocktails aren't flowing that much so thursday night we can make it all the way it feels like it's a bit more um
Speaker 28 nope not gonna say it what's that nope not gonna you might as well i just feel like past thanksgiving's heading in i think we all had much more of a thought like hey there's about to be a lot of wars around family tables now i don't feel like it's that much right now.
Speaker 99 Maybe because I'm strictly football world and football is up and to the right.
Speaker 24 I don't know that, but boy, it feels like we're about to have the greatest Thanksgiving of all time.
Speaker 114 And then we're going to wake up.
Speaker 2
I mean, I've had a lot of mean things said to me about something that happened just a couple of weeks ago. Yeah.
That's what I was thinking. Yeah.
Speaker 57 And I, oh, I should have.
Speaker 2 I guess I should have known this. Still pretty toxic.
Speaker 80 See, people on me people would say, you should have known this was.
Speaker 51 Yeah, of course I should.
Speaker 67 Yeah. And we certainly do now going forward now.
Speaker 63 But then we wake up on Friday morning, Christmas season.
Speaker 2
Yeah. No more games, right? Oh, there he is.
What?
Speaker 2 Black Friday game. Oh, Bears,
Speaker 2 great.
Speaker 2 Eagles, always awesome.
Speaker 2 Three o'clock Friday on Prime.
Speaker 85 Now, this will be Kirk and Al.
Speaker 2 I believe so, yeah.
Speaker 41 Kirk and Al will be on the call.
Speaker 16 Shout out to them. Shout out to Prime also creating a new football day.
Speaker 53 Okay, Thanksgiving was always a day.
Speaker 8 Now Black Friday becomes day.
Speaker 16 There's going to be a super duper Saturday that's going to come at some point whenever maybe there's a drop in college football game somehow.
Speaker 36 There'll be a Wednesday night game.
Speaker 89 We assume WAF will return.
Speaker 27 No doubt.
Speaker 75 Wednesday afternoon football happened during COVID.
Speaker 91 That's a good game of all time.
Speaker 85 Yeah, Commander Steelers.
Speaker 83 I mean, that is certainly a game that'll be talked about forever.
Speaker 22 But Wednesday afternoon football will come.
Speaker 52 Wednesday night football will come.
Speaker 101 Super duper Saturday football will come.
Speaker 85 And Black Friday is here to stay.
Speaker 81 And I assume there's going to be multiple games going forward on Black Friday as well because this was sold, obviously, to Amazon.
Speaker 29 I forget the number, probably a billion, something.
Speaker 2 And then you could probably sell another one of those.
Speaker 55 Yesterday's Thanksgiving schedule, three different networks.
Speaker 52 Yep.
Speaker 5 Okay, so we're going to get a Thanksgiving paycheck here.
Speaker 89 It's good for players, remember?
Speaker 113 We're going to get a Thanksgiving paycheck here.
Speaker 2 And then we're going to get one from here. And then what are you going to do on Friday?
Speaker 113 Well, our streaming companies are in this thing.
Speaker 67 Okay, we're going to take one from Amazon.
Speaker 2 We can get a night game, can't we? Absolutely.
Speaker 28
All right, YouTube, welcome back into the game. Thank you, YouTube.
You're coming back in here. And the NFL and Roger Cadell are just saying, you guys love football and food, don't you?
Speaker 28 Yeah, let's just things give it right.
Speaker 2 And we are saying, yes, more games, the better.
Speaker 38 Actually hate that that thing starts at one.
Speaker 16 Wish there was almost a morning game somehow.
Speaker 2 So it could be like a turkey bowl that is happening around neighborhoods all over football towns.
Speaker 36 Those are still happening, right?
Speaker 2 I would assume so.
Speaker 2 I've seen stuff on the internet of people preparing for them.
Speaker 19 Well, that's Corey G.
Speaker 2 Yeah. Okay.
Speaker 69 And he is building a...
Speaker 51 turkey bowl field that I don't think I've ever seen a private citizen own.
Speaker 16 I mean, he's been painting this thing up.
Speaker 22 And it's all, I like to see that.
Speaker 2 That's Ohio, though.
Speaker 55 Is it happening everywhere?
Speaker 64 I assume turkey bowl games are happening everywhere.
Speaker 112 I assume in football states, you know, your Ohio's, your Pennsylvania is basically anywhere east of the Mississippi. I'm thinking it's happening.
Speaker 112 I don't see why not.
Speaker 112
Actually, when was it? It was Sunday. And it was like 12.30.
And I was driving, and I saw a group of friends playing two-on-two football in the front yard, like 12.30 right before the game started.
Speaker 112
I was like, oh, that was my childhood. That was awesome to see.
So I think we're going to get it still.
Speaker 49
Yeah, I did see actually a crazy one. I think it was from this year, this dude dude carrying a guy and running over another one.
It was one of the more impressive Turkey Ball things.
Speaker 2
Send it in. Send it in.
We'll definitely want to show it at some point.
Speaker 2
Yeah, we love a good Turkey Ball highlight. Oh, nothing better.
I mean, I'm still living off of one of them. You know, I had one highlight.
Speaker 46 We lost it by 20 in that game.
Speaker 2 Nobody will know. We run that highlight all the time.
Speaker 57
Look at this completion. Good times.
Everybody celebrating.
Speaker 55 I'm dancing, doing our thing.
Speaker 46 We lose by 20. I get called in the office the next day.
Speaker 2 Remember that kind of.
Speaker 2 That kind of. That was it.
Speaker 44 It does kind of.
Speaker 2 That was the beginning of the end.
Speaker 35 Well, the beginning of the end, as you know, is is years before.
Speaker 51 I mean, retirement was being talked about for years.
Speaker 50 It's fire.
Speaker 49 Yeah, I think it's one that even you guys will be like, okay, maybe Turkey Bulls are back.
Speaker 2 Okay,
Speaker 23 I am happy to hear that there's optimism the Turkey Bulls are still happening.
Speaker 16 Have you seen The Shirts Off, Boys?
Speaker 2 No.
Speaker 85 Basically at every university.
Speaker 67 Oh.
Speaker 2 Oh, yeah.
Speaker 25 It feels like we have gone back in time.
Speaker 21 Like, there is a lot of that happening.
Speaker 22 Now, I did a journalistic piece on that.
Speaker 16 Burt Kreischer, the OG of being shirtless in public was in there.
Speaker 46 And we told a story and made a couple stats up about how shirtless in stadiums is up 7,000% or something like that.
Speaker 2 I think that number's only going up. I love the community and the camaraderie that's happening.
Speaker 77 Maybe football is back to its state of like, hey, this is a good time.
Speaker 22 This is special. This is what we need to be.
Speaker 116 Maybe we understand that because we live it every single day and we doubt that others do.
Speaker 15 I think others understand that as well.
Speaker 16 How could you not whenever you see everything that's happening on a field?
Speaker 15 How could you not with the story? How could you not with the people coming together?
Speaker 70 Isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about?
Speaker 2 Yes, it is. That's what Turkey Bowls are all about.
Speaker 22 We need to have these turkey bowls still happen.
Speaker 28 And I have faith that the next generation of turkey bowlers is going to put together a highlight reel of a turkey bowl this particular turkey day.
Speaker 2
Now, here's the highlight. This is from 2009, it says.
This is a little bit of a throwback.
Speaker 47 It looks like it may be,
Speaker 57 it looks like it's Indianapolis, maybe.
Speaker 2 Throw.
Speaker 2 Oh, wow. Boom!
Speaker 2 Yeah.
Speaker 103 Who is that?
Speaker 2 Is that all start?
Speaker 2 My God. Might be.
Speaker 20 Oh, my God.
Speaker 16 Joining us us now, ladies and gentlemen. That might have been him, actually.
Speaker 2 That was unbelievable. A man who's in the bull ring of honor for the Houston Texans.
Speaker 24 This weekend, he's calling the Houston Texans versus the Indianapolis Colts.
Speaker 102 Feels like there's going to be some biased journalism taking place.
Speaker 85 Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, future first Ballot Hall of Famer, CBS broadcaster, J.J.
Speaker 35 Watts.
Speaker 2 Wow.
Speaker 2 We just talked about it.
Speaker 119
Tarp it off. Tarp it off.
Come on. I'm not going to do it.
Pop that thing. Pop that that top, big dog.
Speaker 2 Not going to do it.
Speaker 32 I got the ears thing.
Speaker 68 Yeah, I just, I got in a bad spot.
Speaker 28 I can't do it, especially with William.
Speaker 2 That's fine. That's fine.
Speaker 113 Especially with Williams.
Speaker 119 So it's a predetermined thing on game day every week because you got to get the ears off. You got to get the wires off.
Speaker 57 No, it's wired underneath.
Speaker 6 Good beard. Everything's wired underneath.
Speaker 93 Never on my show do I wire underneath because I don't need to be shirtless in a thunderdough.
Speaker 120 Yeah, I didn't do that.
Speaker 2 Everything in game day is wired underneath, though.
Speaker 47 Hey, you look pretty good, dude.
Speaker 22 You look super jacked.
Speaker 6 Where are you?
Speaker 2 Just kind of hanging out at the house.
Speaker 119 my son wanted to uh go to the beach this morning i said i got the show at 10.
Speaker 119 he said i want to go to the beach and he just started screaming so we went to the beach i tried to do the show from the beach and uh foxy said this ain't gonna work pal you got no reception i said that makes sense so i ran back to the casa
Speaker 119 and uh there's better wi-fi here but i am now sufficiently out of breath and also very away from your kid is your kid okay on the beach or what i hope so. Who knows?
Speaker 2 Not me.
Speaker 2 Go on, Coa. Go on, boy.
Speaker 103 Go on.
Speaker 69 Jake, thanks for making this happen.
Speaker 5 Happy Thanksgiving.
Speaker 69 Happy Beach Day to you and your boy.
Speaker 12 Traps look good, bro.
Speaker 5 You look really good. You're kind of glistening right now, too, kind of glowing from the run.
Speaker 9 You should feel good about where you're at.
Speaker 118 Beard looks phenomenal as well.
Speaker 18 Really, all things going good for you right now in your face and upper shoulder area.
Speaker 119
Thanks. Yeah, I realize there's no bye weeks in broadcasting.
That was a slight shock. So, no bye weeks, 18 road games in a row.
Had to find a way to hit a beach somewhere in there, and this is it.
Speaker 22 Hey, smart.
Speaker 104 Good for the family, good for the mind.
Speaker 3 Let's talk about what you have this weekend.
Speaker 2 Now, you better enjoy that beach now, brother, because it's going to be hostile in the Lad House for the Houston Texans.
Speaker 16 What is your film study saying about what the environment's about to be like in Lucas Oil Stadium, officially known as the Ladhouse, Mr.
Speaker 57 JJ Watt?
Speaker 119
You know, I love myself some Lucas Oil. I'm looking forward to this game.
It's a massive, massive, massive matchup in the AFC South. And I also have the Colts Jaguars next weekend.
Speaker 119 So you're getting me back to back here.
Speaker 119
Very excited. Obviously, I've had a couple Colts games already this year.
Know a lot about them. Looking forward to seeing them.
And number one, offense versus number one defense.
Speaker 119 This is going to be immovable force versus
Speaker 119
unstoppable force versus immovable object. There we go.
I got it. We'll get there.
Keep it rolling.
Speaker 119 Really looking forward to this game. My biggest question for you: are the fireplaces going to be on the screens pregame? When does that start?
Speaker 39 What fireplaces are you talking about?
Speaker 63 Why are you bringing up fireplaces?
Speaker 32 No, it's a loud house.
Speaker 89 It's not a fireplace.
Speaker 16 We're not sitting with a book.
Speaker 2 I loved it.
Speaker 119 That's one of my favorite parts of going to Indy: the fireplaces on the scoreboards pre-game. I just want to know if it's going to be there or not.
Speaker 58 Do you feel that way yourself, or is that a Houston Texans thing?
Speaker 92 You guys like the fireplace?
Speaker 119
I personally, I don't even know if anybody else ever knows about it. I know about it.
I loved it. It was always nice and festive.
I'm just curious.
Speaker 119 Is it only like Christmas week or is it November, December?
Speaker 16 Listen, we'll do it for you because we would like you to feel welcomed and we would like you to feel comfortable at the loudhouse, okay?
Speaker 34 Because we understand that you have night terrors about what that stadium was like for you whenever you were in your playing days.
Speaker 100 And we understand that you can't even prepare this Houston Texans team for how loud that place is about to be this weekend.
Speaker 69 So we would love to put that up there to make you feel comfortable up there in the booth if that makes you feel better.
Speaker 119 Will you be in attendance?
Speaker 2 The loud house?
Speaker 119
I mean, I have no clue. You have an unbelievable schedule.
You fly everywhere. You're also a great family man.
You have 16 different jobs, number one being father and husband.
Speaker 119 I just don't know. I don't want to put you on the spot and be like, I guess I actually put you exactly on the spot and was like, are you going to be in the stadium?
Speaker 2 Yes, yes.
Speaker 44 I will be.
Speaker 114 And guess what?
Speaker 81 There might be a surprise appearance by a little person, a tiny younger person that has never been to a game either.
Speaker 7 Yeah, there's a chance.
Speaker 9 There's a chance that this is a first.
Speaker 119 You're pulling out all the stops. This is a big game.
Speaker 2 We need to win.
Speaker 87 We can't have a two-game slide and we cannot be losing to the Houston Texans right now.
Speaker 82 We play the Texans twice and the Jaguars twice, as you know, down the stretch here, and everybody's within a game.
Speaker 84 So I mean, we had a great start.
Speaker 117 We're winning the Super Bowl.
Speaker 18 And all of a sudden, we look down the stretch here and it's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, we got a lot to do.
Speaker 65 The boys understand that, though.
Speaker 56 Daniel Jones, if he was to participate in practice, it would have been limited.
Speaker 18 It's a walkthrough.
Speaker 29 It's a walkthrough. So, ain't no problems there.
Speaker 61 You know, his name popped up in a notification from a fantasy football app on Tone's phone, and it said something that was very alarming to me.
Speaker 43 I immediately FaceTimed my source in the building and go, excuse me, what the hell is happening here?
Speaker 92 We don't give out
Speaker 70 their available designation until Friday.
Speaker 42
It's a walkthrough. Everything.
What are we talking about?
Speaker 2 Thank you.
Speaker 28 Okay, we need to make sure that's what we're talking about this entire time.
Speaker 2 How do you think the unstoppable force and the immovable object are going to kind of square off?
Speaker 31 What did you see from the Chiefs game?
Speaker 13 Have you watched the film of what the Colts did?
Speaker 30 And do you think the Houston Texans, C.J.
Speaker 5 Stroud, we assume, is going to be a quarterback if he gets out of concussion protocol, do you think they'll be able to do the same thing that the Chiefs did to the Colts defense, which was literally just crossers
Speaker 2 every play.
Speaker 2 Every fucking play.
Speaker 102 It was just this.
Speaker 59 And then you got literally, that's all they did the whole time.
Speaker 14 and you just got sauce chasing the entire time across the entire field and ward chasing the entire time across the other way and it's like this is what everybody expected from the chiefs they have speed they use it they got guys that can go underneath now they're going to have a run game to uh coming back it's like they did what we have seen old chiefs do which is basically run our defense off the field and then they do a four and a half minute drive at the end of the fourth quarter to tie that thing up and then get the ball right back in overtime after three and out.
Speaker 12 It's like our defense, did they get exposed or was it just Kansas City Chiefs are very, very good?
Speaker 48 Like, how should I be viewing what happened to us?
Speaker 75 Because it got to a point where we could not stop them if they wanted to really go, even though we had the lead for most of the game.
Speaker 119 Yeah, I mean, the end of that game obviously did not go anywhere near the way you guys wanted to go. It's with the three and outs on offense, which at times your best defense is your offense.
Speaker 119 It's keeping the ball, time of possession, moving it down the field, getting first down after first down, and just being able to build up those leads, which you've done so many times this year and then that fourth quarter and overtime was just three and out city
Speaker 119 and then what I look at is I think back to that Pittsburgh game where the Colts had some struggles in Pittsburgh and that was they stopped the run and then they got after Daniel Jones and had tons of takeaways that game obviously and then you look at the chiefs here and something that the Colts have done there's a few things on offense they went with a ton of block up they did have a whole lot of max protection and trying to give Daniel that time but not having as many guys out in the routes.
Speaker 119 And then you look at the defensive side, since Sauce has come over, their man coverage, rightfully so, obviously, has gone way, way, way up.
Speaker 119 So some of those crossers where you're talking about Sauce chasing guys across the field and some of these other DBs, that man coverage is kind of what puts you into those situations.
Speaker 119
And we all know, and I feel like it's not talked about enough, DeForest Buckner being out is so, so massive, man. That guy is unbelievable.
I love watching DeForest play.
Speaker 119 So the Texans' defense, as everybody in the nation saw on Thursday night against the Bills, is for real. They are very legit.
Speaker 119 And when you turn on the film and you watch the way they communicate, you watch the way that they fly around,
Speaker 119 it's incredible. And so the Colts offense with Shane Steichen's mind and their ability to do so many things and Jonathan Taylor and Tyler Warren and everybody involved versus this defense is
Speaker 119
analyst dream. I cannot wait to watch this game and see.
I believe the stat is the last five times the number one offense has played the number one defense, the number one offense is 5-0.
Speaker 2 Yeah!
Speaker 2 Wow.
Speaker 74 Yeah, we like that.
Speaker 2 Get used to it, is what you're saying.
Speaker 119 Well, see, Houston's held eight teams under 20 points this season, most in the NFL. Colts, obviously, the only team in the NFL to score 20 or more every single game.
Speaker 119 And I I believe, again, back to the last five times the number one has faced number one, the offense has scored over 20 points each time.
Speaker 119 So history is certainly on the offensive side in this, which would say it's on the Colts side.
Speaker 119
This Houston defense is just nasty and mean and flies around. It's crazy, man.
You watch the tape and it looks like they're in fast forward. So this is going to be a heavyweight matchup.
Speaker 119 I'm so excited. We're on the call.
Speaker 110 You want to do a couple more stats, too?
Speaker 13 I think the Colts have only punted like 22 times going into week 13.
Speaker 5 I think they've only had to punt that.
Speaker 60 And obviously the turnovers from a couple different, if you were eliminated two games, you know, I think the turnovers are at like next to zero.
Speaker 74 But on that note, you know, who knows what we are at this stage of the season?
Speaker 22 You know, Jonathan Taylor, for a long time, was the MVP conversation.
Speaker 95 Now CMC is the running back that's in that conversation.
Speaker 11 We can obviously flip it around against the number one defense, but it's going to be tough.
Speaker 22 It's not just a run game that we have to get going. We're going to have to be able to protect Danny Jones just a little bit.
Speaker 15 And it feels like Houston's built to kind of dominate.
Speaker 89 The Houston sack station is certainly becoming a topic of conversation.
Speaker 31 Go ahead, A.K.U.G.
Speaker 1 Yeah, JJ, I really like the two tackles in Buffalo, and they struggled mightily against those two edge guys.
Speaker 1 I know you've talked about the whole defense as a whole, but having Daniil Hunter and Will Anderson and what they're doing, 21 sacks between the two of them, how important was it to see them with the rush lane integrities and keeping Josh Allen bottled up?
Speaker 119 Yeah, D'Amico actually talked about this on his radio show this week, and it it was really interesting. The Bills did go with heavy five-man protection.
Speaker 119
They didn't give a ton of extra help. And against those guys, you just can't do it no matter how good your tackles are.
And like you said, those are two good tackles.
Speaker 119 So for those two guys, it's pretty crazy.
Speaker 119 They have this thing where it seems like they've synced it up before every play where one guy may rush high and the other guy rushes low so that they're never off kilter. But it's not how it is.
Speaker 119
I've talked to them both about it, and they said it just naturally happens that way. And you watch that game and you see him win with speed.
You see him win with power.
Speaker 119
You see him win with spin moves. You see him win with a rip move.
They do it and then you see Will win with relentless effort, just 15 second sack. Like
Speaker 119
they have everything you want in a pass rusher and they also stop the run. It's it's pretty cool.
And then you flip it over to the Colts side and you have Latu.
Speaker 119
who is tied for the team lead in interceptions with three, also has five sacks in his last five games. He's coming on heavy.
It's a lot of fun to watch him play.
Speaker 119
You got Grover, who's got an interception. That D-line is making plays.
It's, I mean, this, this game is going to be great.
Speaker 29 It is, and it's going to be in a lighthouse.
Speaker 77 We know what that means.
Speaker 119 I can't wait to see it.
Speaker 2 Are you going to get on the mic?
Speaker 28 You're going to feel it, brother.
Speaker 2 No, I don't get on the mic for that. No, no.
Speaker 58 Just play off.
Speaker 119
I'm excited to see the booth. I feel like Lucas Oil would have a good booth.
That's something I'm learning this year. Every stadium, very different booth setups.
Speaker 119 I feel like Lucas Oil is going to have a nice setup.
Speaker 61 It's all in how old the stadium is, I think, from my understanding of the booth setups.
Speaker 5 You know, the newer stadiums have a little bit nicer booths because I think they think about like, hey, the TV broadcast very important to the entire business here.
Speaker 106 You know, back in the day, I think it was like, yeah, these pieces of shit, they got to call the game somewhere.
Speaker 20 Just put them in there.
Speaker 44 Basically, some of those booths are bad, right?
Speaker 90 Some of these places are not good. Yes.
Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 119 Biggest thing for me, if you got a bathroom in it,
Speaker 119 I can't be running down the hallway at the end of the first quarter quarter if I got to take a piss because I drank six coffees before the game.
Speaker 35 Just think about what media was at that point, though.
Speaker 44 You know, whenever their stadiums were being built, it was like we have to deal with media as opposed to, hey, our entire business is basically media now.
Speaker 86 So those like, I think the Cowboys, whenever they built their stadium, they asked Troy to come in and help build it.
Speaker 78 And there's like.
Speaker 80 double layer.
Speaker 2 There's a like an apartment.
Speaker 11 I think there's like a bathroom in there.
Speaker 85 There's a spot for and then some of the older stadiums, it's like you walk in there and you actually can't see like down the end of the thing.
Speaker 44 And it's like, this is a multi-billion dollar business right now.
Speaker 94 And this is how we are brought.
Speaker 6 We can't even see the end zone on this side.
Speaker 119
It's like, do you, yeah, you can. Food massive also.
Food Atlanta mini beef Wellingtons in the booth.
Speaker 2 I'm sorry.
Speaker 119 You toss a mini beef wellington.
Speaker 119 You might get a favorable discussion on
Speaker 2 playing the game.
Speaker 2 I'm sorry. I'll tell you that.
Speaker 53 I don't like to think that I'm just like spineless and can be won over by small gestures, you know, like that.
Speaker 106 But every time we go to game day, we go to some school, somebody that is like, hey, I'm from the equipment room just brings like a box of stuff.
Speaker 89 I'm like, wow, this place is really cool.
Speaker 2 I love this place. This place is really cool, man.
Speaker 105 And then I'll go to like a restaurant and sir, we would love for you.
Speaker 45 It's all on us. Don't you worry about it.
Speaker 39 It's like, well, I fucking love this place.
Speaker 2
And then I'm supposed to go on game day and pick against them. Okay.
Yeah.
Speaker 30 And then all these people are doing this thing. It's like, yeah.
Speaker 2 I don't know.
Speaker 16 And then I have to sell myself.
Speaker 53 Like if I'm picking against the home team with how these people treat me, like it is not, I get treated so kindly by all these people.
Speaker 67 It is like it's uncomfortable to be honest it's like i'm just gonna lock myself in my room here so i don't have to see anybody because it's almost uncomfortable how nice everybody's gonna be but i have to see like
Speaker 95 they're really gonna have to lose that game in my eyes for me to pick against them you know but there's some places that have an sid or something that i don't like it's like yep We're picking against this place every time.
Speaker 2 Every time we come here, I am letting these people know that I do not like them.
Speaker 16 And I'll get like a message from the coach.
Speaker 94 Coach will be like, you don't like our team?
Speaker 76 Like, what's the deal?
Speaker 2 It's like, no, no, no.
Speaker 28 Actually, this piece of shit right here.
Speaker 93 Don't like them.
Speaker 98 Don't like them at all.
Speaker 80 Hate them. And also, who won the game?
Speaker 28 Thank you.
Speaker 87 Let's keep it moving. But I am trying to get it right, Jage.
Speaker 42 But it's hard whenever these people are so kind.
Speaker 53 I couldn't even imagine for you, JJ Walpole.
Speaker 119 I'm obviously joking about the Beef Wellington before anybody writes an article.
Speaker 2
No, you're not. It's a joke.
He's not joking about that. He's not joking.
Speaker 2 Also,
Speaker 119 you're absolutely right, though. Like, there are, it's, It's pretty wild, the difference in whether it's SIDs at that level or whether it's just communications directors or people within the stadium.
Speaker 119 Like there is certainly, it's like with facilities in the NFL, where you got to the NFL and you assumed everything is going to be the best of the best and unbelievable.
Speaker 119
And it's not always the same. It's really been a fascinating journey through this whole year.
And it's, it's,
Speaker 119 I really love this job. I thought I was not going to love this.
Speaker 119 I thought I would not like it um but man it is so much fun calling these games every week especially when they turn out like they did last week you got the bears steelers coming down to the end we had the jags colt or the jags texans where it was the fourth quarter comeback like this is awesome yeah and you're doing a great job i want to let you know that and i think you as an owner of another team couple other teams seeing how other uh operations go from the back end, which is what you're getting a chance to do, great learning piece, especially with you as a person, as a entrepreneur mindset.
Speaker 16 Yeah, getting a chance to watch how places operate and being a part of it is a very cool thing.
Speaker 36 And you're doing a great job, brother.
Speaker 96 You're doing a great job.
Speaker 48 We're about sick of you calling TJ's games or Texans games, though.
Speaker 2 Feels like that's a little bit of a setup
Speaker 119 after, uh, I think after this game, it'll be eight out of 13 is either a Steelers or a Texans game. And like, people are like, oh, wow, what a nice perk you got them to put you on these games.
Speaker 119 This is 100%
Speaker 119 literally based off of market sizes. And this is, I and Eagle had Steelers and Texans games all last year, but it's, it is harder because I literally have to go
Speaker 119 like it, people automatically assume you'll be biased. So then you try really hard not to be biased, which I feel like I've done a good job of.
Speaker 119 But when eight out of 13 are situations where you've had a direct relation to the game,
Speaker 119 I do feel like eight out of 13 the other way would have been an easier start for me.
Speaker 112 You know what? The problem is the Steelers aren't good enough to get the number one crew at CBS, but they aren't small enough a fan base base size to get the number three game.
Speaker 112 So JJ's right in that sweet spot right at number two.
Speaker 9 And his brother just so happens to be a Hall of Famer for them right now, who has more sacks than he does.
Speaker 110 Let's talk about that. Oh,
Speaker 60 what a bum. What do you do now?
Speaker 102 Say, hey, Derek, tell me how many sacks you got.
Speaker 103 Is that how you just take a shot at somebody else?
Speaker 36 How's this kind of work?
Speaker 16 And I'm very thankful that you got a chance to be there.
Speaker 83 The whole thing was sick.
Speaker 52 And your preposterous line about putting the pads back on, beautiful reaction.
Speaker 22 Felt like it was in the moment, even though you certainly had to have thought about how you would think you would react whenever this would happen. What are your thoughts on it?
Speaker 82 There has to be a great sense of pride in what your little brother's doing.
Speaker 119 It was my reaction in time of saying, if you're going to do it, that's one hell of a way to do it, was
Speaker 119 just pure spontaneity and accurate because what a way to do it. A sack, I don't believe he's ever directly caused a touchdown with a strip sack before.
Speaker 119 It was really, really cool to have my brother and his kids there, to have my parents there.
Speaker 119 I did not think it was going to be that big of a deal. I swear to you, we never talked about it until the actual day of the game.
Speaker 119 We talked about it in our production meeting with my crew and everything, just how are we going to handle this? TJ and I did not talk about it until in the tunnel before the game.
Speaker 119 Like, hey, today might be the day.
Speaker 119 It turned out to be much cooler and more special than I thought it would. I've always said I'll be unbelievably proud of him whenever it happens, and I believe he'll shatter every record I have.
Speaker 119
And I could not be happier for him. He worked so hard.
He's done it at such an insanely high level for so long. He deserves it, and he'll break everything I got.
Speaker 68 Yeah, well, I think that's why you do what you do and you lend the game to your little brother so he'll take it to the next place.
Speaker 117 It's a beautiful story of sport and football and brotherhood.
Speaker 22 I think the way you two have kind of handled it all, especially with how there's clear admiration from both of you for each other.
Speaker 23 which goes back to you being incredibly biased on every fucking call that we have to hear.
Speaker 83 You battling against that is hilarious to kind of take place.
Speaker 18 What did you say before the game whenever you said, hey, this could be the day?
Speaker 36 Was there, do you guys ever find yourself, you feel like such a hard family, right?
Speaker 44 Don't they feel like such a hard family?
Speaker 16 Was there ever a moment of like, hey, this is really cool that the entire NFL that we kind of grew up watching and idolizing players is kind of looking at what two doofuses from the same family who just so happen to be stronger and work harder than ever.
Speaker 53 Like, did you have that moment before the game?
Speaker 2 Have you ever had that moment?
Speaker 119
I can tell you exactly. It's funny that you bring that up.
So we, we, I met him in the tunnel before the game just to say, hey, you know, because I don't get to see him really on these trips.
Speaker 119
And I meet him in the tunnel and we were talking about random stuff, not about that. And the last thing I said as I was walking away, I gave him a hug.
I said, I love you.
Speaker 119
And then I literally looked back and was like, hey, today could be the day. And he goes, could be.
And we separated. Now, after the game, obviously everything happens.
Speaker 119
And you get photos sent to your phone from the team photographer. Every player gets them sent to their phones.
And there was one photo of us pregame in the tunnel talking to each other. And
Speaker 119 he texted me and he goes, this is pretty crazy, huh? And it wasn't a photo of the sack. It wasn't a photo of any of our plays on the field.
Speaker 119 And I just texted him back and I was like, think about how wild that is. We're two brothers in the bowels of an NFL stadium.
Speaker 119 You're about to go out there and break something that I did at a very high level.
Speaker 119 And we used to play in the backyard in Pewaukee, me, you and Derek, you know, down the punt inside the one-yard line and pretending that we were on the high school football team.
Speaker 119
That was the first time, I think, where we truly were like, this is crazy. This was being in the bowels of the stadium, not being on the field.
Yeah.
Speaker 31 And having a photo of that moment, knowing that in that conversation, you say, hey, today could be the day.
Speaker 2 And he just goes, could be, and then goes out there.
Speaker 9 That's like fairy tale movie type stuff.
Speaker 121 Now we leave the tag game show out of it.
Speaker 2 You remember when he had that was awesome. We keep that one out of the movie, but I think this is
Speaker 2 no.
Speaker 119 This is, you're, I swear, it's like you have like a pre-interviewer.
Speaker 119 Tag has a scene in this weekend.
Speaker 119 So at the hotel the night before the game, I have to go to the hotel and interview Mike Tomlin, Aaron Rodgers, Mason Rudolph, and Derek goes to the hotel so he can see TJ before the game.
Speaker 119 Derek's kids watch tag reruns on their TV because they just love tag and obviously like to see their dad on TV.
Speaker 119 So in the defensive meeting room at the Steelers Hotel, when I finish my meeting with Mike Tomlin, I walk in, they're playing tag with TJ in the meeting room saying they're the characters on tag.
Speaker 119 See, you have like a ESP or some shit. It's crazy.
Speaker 74 I mean, maybe there's a reason I do this job, but there's like, uh, there's a lot of things that could potentially come together for a perfect fairy tale movie.
Speaker 121 And even the tag thing with you guys, you, you refused to do anything without your brothers for a while.
Speaker 70 And it was like, that's so cool.
Speaker 8 Like, that is a very cool thing that you guys can remain this tight, especially with the amount of money, egos, pride, drama that could come into play for all of this.
Speaker 21 You guys are a beautiful family, a wonderful family, and TJ is going to make sure nobody remembers your name, brother.
Speaker 2 And
Speaker 2 that's a sweet thing.
Speaker 69 That's a sweet thing.
Speaker 85 All right, we talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers side and obviously the ballots of that particular stadium.
Speaker 22 Let's talk about the team that calls that stadium home.
Speaker 50 Go ahead, Ty. Yeah, on the flip side, Jage, how impressed were you with the Bears on Sunday? I think a lot of people still don't really want to give them the credit for how good they are.
Speaker 50 Do you think that this team could ultimately make a pretty deep run in the playoffs? And how do you think they're going to fare on Friday against the Eagles?
Speaker 119
So the Bears are one of those teams where you say, we're never going to apologize for winning. I mean, 8-3 is 8-3.
They're playing great
Speaker 119
in a lot of facets of the game. I think there's two areas currently that can take them even higher.
So first, I want to start with the stuff they're doing incredible. Takeaways on defense.
Speaker 119
Unbelievable, insane level. Nashawn Wright's playing at an incredible level.
They were missing three starting linebackers in that game, over 30% of their tackles on defense.
Speaker 119 And DeMarco Jackson fills in, takes the green dot, communicates the whole defense, has 15 tackles, but they do give up a lot of yards on that defense. They're a feast or famine.
Speaker 119
They either get a takeaway or they're giving up yards and points. So they need to get that part figured out.
You can't just live and die by the takeaway. And then on offense, Ben Johnson.
Speaker 119 Extremely impressive. In our meetings with him this year, we've had two games, two meetings.
Speaker 119 He has been not only unbelievably knowledgeable, clearly a schematic genius, but also really personable, clearly has a great pulse on his team, knows how to motivate them, knows how to be funny.
Speaker 119
Like he really is a good, good head coach in the making, you can tell. And then Caleb is playing well to minimize a lot of the risks.
He's making some great throws.
Speaker 119 The one area that will take him to that next level is there were a good chunk of throws in that game that he would like to have back.
Speaker 119
Ben Johnson's great at scheming up these primary receivers. And a few times in that game, Caleb wasn't able to hit him.
Now, obviously, you have three touchdowns, zero interceptions.
Speaker 119 He played, he had plenty of great plays, but there are some out there that he's going to go look at and be like, I can be even better.
Speaker 119 And if he gets on that page with Ben Johnson's offense, the Bears do have a chance to be scary.
Speaker 83 Just natural dumb eye of mine, and I was third string quarterback in the NFL.
Speaker 46 Thank you so much.
Speaker 51 And had the greatest Q bar in the history of Turkey Bulls in the NFL.
Speaker 15 Just natural eye looking at Caleb.
Speaker 37 Feels like there's a lot of movement with ball.
Speaker 18 Feels like as his career goes, I assume during the offseason to get more accurate, that thing will get tightened up.
Speaker 93 And all of a sudden, he'll just become a pinpoint accurate passer because his arm talent is outrageous.
Speaker 13 He throws liner, I mean, he throws like 25-yard
Speaker 59 lasers.
Speaker 29 So he's strong enough that he'll be able to tighten that up a little bit.
Speaker 76 But I think he'll be able to get that thing into laser lock, which once again happens to most quarterbacks.
Speaker 15 Not everybody's coming in as a rookie and has pinpoint accuracy.
Speaker 11 Normally, there's some other trade that they're great at.
Speaker 2 Go ahead, Jage.
Speaker 119 And this game was really interesting because coming into it, Caleb had the longest time to throw in the NFL. He held the ball for like 3.38 seconds on average every game this year.
Speaker 119
Didn't have a single game where his average was under three seconds. This game against the Steelers, 2.68 seconds.
average time to throw. So that means there were guys open for him to hit.
Speaker 119 And the Steelers, this zone defense, and it's been talked about a lot this week, but there were just quick throws. And when Caleb throws on time in rhythm, he can put it on them.
Speaker 119 And the Steelers, it's kind of been a theme of this year. The ball has gotten out unbelievably quickly against them all year long.
Speaker 119 They have to find a way to buy that pass rush up front a little bit more time.
Speaker 9 Okay, so let's also continue to add with stats and Caleb Williams.
Speaker 29 I think what I saw to this game a couple different times, there's one right there, play action, turning his back completely to the defense, turning around, not even a thought and letting it fire, which means pre-snap, he knew what the hell he was supposed to do with the ball after he snapped it.
Speaker 61 So I think he's starting to understand defenses, but I think he's also starting to trust the system of like, hey, I'm allowed to turn my back completely to the defense and turn around and fire it.
Speaker 85 Here's Caleb Williams on play action, some stats from himbo.
Speaker 24 In 2024, they did it 18% of the time, 56% under center, 10.4% sack rate, 28.4 QBR.
Speaker 81 In 2025, they're doing it 30% of the time, 86% of the time, it's under center, obviously getting more comfortable with the exchange, 4.1% sack rate.
Speaker 38 He's getting it out on time as soon as he turns around, and 77 out of 100 QBR.
Speaker 101 So it's like play action was Jared Goff's weapon up in Detroit.
Speaker 51 All the other shit was just ready to go.
Speaker 5 Caleb, such like a creative player, would he be able to buy into the robotic stuff?
Speaker 5 And would he be able to trust turning around completely to the defense, knowing that your brother is on the other team?
Speaker 4 It's like, it feels like he's buying into all of it, Jake.
Speaker 18 Do you get that sense as well?
Speaker 119 Yes, I agree. I think the one play, obviously the TJ strip sack in the end zone, like you got to find a way to get rid of that football.
Speaker 119 Now I know his arm was pinned and all that, but you just can't take that in that situation.
Speaker 119 But, yes, this offense, and with his ability, because there are times where Ben Johnson has the primary receiver schemed up and they don't get the coverage they thought they were going to get.
Speaker 119 So, now he looks at one, two, three, they're not there, and he goes Superman mode. And that's he is incredible at Superman mode.
Speaker 119 So, finding the balance of when to go into Superman mode and when to stay within the parameters of the offense is key.
Speaker 119 But Ben Johnson himself told us, like, Caleb gets me out of some fires sometimes because of what he's able to do.
Speaker 119 So, the better they get at finding that Simpati co-balance, the better that they will be. And they have a chance to be real scary.
Speaker 119 And if you give them a full offseason to really get under each other's hood and see how they can make this thing hum as best as possible, it'd be special.
Speaker 20 The Bears might be the problem in the North for some time.
Speaker 2 You know, going forward, there's a chance that's the case.
Speaker 80 Let's stay.
Speaker 119 They believe in themselves, too.
Speaker 119 Like, I mean, they get in some of these games and like you, you look at the score, you look at the situation, and the phrase that they've used, this isn't me, it's same old bears.
Speaker 119
And they said, we're not going to be the same old bears. And very, very clearly, they are not the same old bears.
They believe in themselves. You know what they are?
Speaker 35 They're the brand new
Speaker 2 Bears.
Speaker 53 Feels like the NFC North's got a lot of brand new teams.
Speaker 5 Now, there's one old-ass team taking on a potential brand new team to kick off Thanksgiving.
Speaker 8 Go ahead, Con man.
Speaker 49
Yeah, Jay, it's brand new Lions taking on the Packers at home tomorrow. First game to kick off the Thanksgiving slate.
What do you expect out of that type of game?
Speaker 49 And do you have a good read on Green Bay or Detroit? A lot of people are saying, hey, Detroit, rag now, long in the tooth, but Foxy gave a nice little stat.
Speaker 49 They're still, you know, second in the league in scoring. And then for Green Bay, everyone kind of expected the offense to kick into gear at some point, and we just haven't really seen it yet.
Speaker 49 But their defense with Michael Parsons is flying around. What do you expect to see tomorrow out of these two teams?
Speaker 119 First of all, I've seen a lot of buzz about it, but I haven't looked in depth. Is this game a half hour later than it normally is?
Speaker 2 Yes. Yes.
Speaker 76 We don't like it.
Speaker 69 We've been loud. Just know that we have been loud.
Speaker 50
I actually remember too. Goodell answered this question when we were in Green Bay on the show at the draft.
He said it's because they want to have it aligned with their traditional kickoff windows.
Speaker 119 It's not traditional.
Speaker 2 That's exactly what I said.
Speaker 2 Thank you.
Speaker 119 That's our tradition. Thanksgiving is our tradition.
Speaker 2 I don't want to hear it.
Speaker 7 I don't like that we went back in time and he said that.
Speaker 22 I don't like hearing hearing Roger Goodell say that in my head.
Speaker 50 I think we gave him hell for it at the time as well.
Speaker 35 We better have.
Speaker 94 What's he thinking?
Speaker 19 What's he thinking?
Speaker 2 Why are they thinking?
Speaker 2 What are we going to do?
Speaker 119 What are we going to do?
Speaker 86 Well, I think the Watts probably get along.
Speaker 35 Everybody else, we got a potential Thanksgiving.
Speaker 111 Before these things, you know, because the traditional time for Thanksgiving was Wayne's ball on so that can distract everybody.
Speaker 108 Well, now they move it.
Speaker 13 The families are still doing traditional time.
Speaker 41 Everybody get there around noon.
Speaker 42 Everybody get there there around noon.
Speaker 69 And then you can immediately have a distraction.
Speaker 36 Go to a different room if you have to.
Speaker 2 The game's on.
Speaker 107 We can all hang out here.
Speaker 15 Go grab some food. When's the food?
Speaker 92 1231.
Speaker 80
Perfect. We do this entire thing.
We got ball in the background.
Speaker 22 Second half of that first game, normally when everything, because we just got done doing the whole thing.
Speaker 53 Now they're like, hey, listen.
Speaker 24 Actually, guys, all that time, no distractions.
Speaker 15 It's like first time we're seeing some people in a long time.
Speaker 61 We've seen them post some shit online.
Speaker 76 Don't you think we should maybe have a distraction?
Speaker 28 NFL's like, you guys need to talk to each other.
Speaker 91 No, they don't.
Speaker 50 No. A lot of of pressure on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade come up in the clutch now.
Speaker 63 I'm not going to say it because my wife loves watching that thing.
Speaker 50 You like seeing Snoopy every year?
Speaker 2
I need a little bit more sauce. Raw cats? I need a little bit more sauce.
Oh, Woody Woodpecker.
Speaker 93 Yeah, but that thing, it should not just be a, this is what it is.
Speaker 2 I agree. Boom, boom, boom.
Speaker 90 Shut down the whole city. Oh, yeah.
Speaker 7 It's entertaining.
Speaker 28 I do enjoy it, but it's the same thing every year.
Speaker 2 Oh, yeah.
Speaker 67 Can we get a little sauce, a little pizzazz?
Speaker 119 In fact, the lip sync has increased heavily.
Speaker 2 What? Yeah.
Speaker 82 The weather's so ass, though, normally.
Speaker 2 They're standing up there in the rain, and they're singing this super high note in the morning. I'm like, yeah,
Speaker 41 yeah, right. There's no way you got that.
Speaker 5 And then they're like, their lip sync is like, what do you think it would sound like?
Speaker 28 It's 8 a.m. It's 15 degrees.
Speaker 119 Who would be the best guy from the show to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade?
Speaker 55 Just like do something?
Speaker 119 A, sing, and then B, just do anything.
Speaker 2 Interesting, you know.
Speaker 119 I mean, Mad Mel could be up there.
Speaker 36 Mad Mel performing would be good.
Speaker 17 Debone could dress up like
Speaker 42 D-Bone could be one of the mascots that walks.
Speaker 94 I think he could be, you know.
Speaker 50 Tie some strings to him and just walk him down.
Speaker 2 He could wear a suit and walk.
Speaker 2
It was his birthday yesterday. He's not a blimp.
He's not a blimp.
Speaker 82 He's not a blimp.
Speaker 89 Don't say that. That's very rude.
Speaker 2 What are you laughing at?
Speaker 35 It was his birthday yesterday.
Speaker 1 Happy birthday, Debone.
Speaker 35 Happy birthday, D-Bone.
Speaker 16 That was fucked up. They were saying that stuff.
Speaker 2 I didn't like that. Terrible.
Speaker 105 But he would be a good walk with flag, maybe
Speaker 112 he'd be good with walk with flag yeah i mean to get him in the air you'd have to call nasa to get a couple rocket boosters but all right
Speaker 2 oh my god this is unfair whoever sent this in is not right this is come on there you go that's barney that is not debone that is not debone okay turbo man also had to figure this whole thing out i think it might have been christmas i don't know if it was thanksgiving but the parades in new york are obviously a very real deal and uh we will watch it but you're right i think it's done at noon 11 right isn't it done earlier yeah who knows yeah we we got a lot of space to fill there.
Speaker 119 Like you said, you start going through the likes list on
Speaker 119 Aunt Cindy's accounts.
Speaker 119 You got some conversation starters.
Speaker 44 And if you haven't seen what old whoever has liked, definitely going to tell.
Speaker 15 Did you see what I posted on blah, blah, blah?
Speaker 8 And then it's like, no, I'm not on that particular one.
Speaker 117 Oh, it was just good.
Speaker 99 Hold on, let me show you.
Speaker 7 And then boom.
Speaker 2 Well, don't you think maybe there's a...
Speaker 119 That extra half hour is going to be. Did you see what Pat McAfee did on Veterans Day?
Speaker 2 James, there's no reason for that.
Speaker 103 Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
Speaker 17 Happy Thanksgiving.
Speaker 33 Let's remember, we're thankful. We're thankful for these things.
Speaker 2 We're thankful for these things.
Speaker 18 Going to the barracks.
Speaker 119 It was all good. All good.
Speaker 2
Yeah, 4 a.m. Like, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk.
That's not it. Nobody talks about that for that.
Speaker 49 It is the first Thanksgiving as well where AI has really kind of stepped it up. So the amount of videos that these old people are going to be like, did you see this?
Speaker 49 And it's somebody that's, it's just not real.
Speaker 5 I'm witnessing it with some of the old
Speaker 91 that I'm around.
Speaker 103 Did you?
Speaker 49 This lady Bungie jumped and she fell and they didn't even save her.
Speaker 2
They just laughed. Not just Stephen Hawking won the Coca-Cola 500 in a wheelchair.
I mean, it's
Speaker 2
came off the top rope against Helen Keller. Look.
Michael Cole was on the call.
Speaker 112 Those things actually happen, though.
Speaker 34 See, there is youngs that are also getting baited, but it's not just the videos, too.
Speaker 117 It's just like the screenshot of posts that are just like too easy.
Speaker 32 Too easy to make these days.
Speaker 2 Time magazine.
Speaker 30 People are shaping.
Speaker 2 Person of the year might be AI.
Speaker 119 We got people believing these driving around on the streets, you know?
Speaker 85 Not just driving around on the streets.
Speaker 67 They're also rolling their window down to let me know they believe them, you know, because they saw something that I said that I certainly did not.
Speaker 117 Who said that?
Speaker 2 You did. Trey here.
Speaker 28 That's an AI picture of me, clearly.
Speaker 2 No, it's not.
Speaker 67 I would have never said that.
Speaker 113 That guy's much more handsome than me.
Speaker 28
Thank you for that picture, but that is not my words. Yes, it is.
You said it.
Speaker 7 Clearly, I know you did.
Speaker 80 You did Veterans Day, done it, right?
Speaker 93 That's you? This is the same guy?
Speaker 6 Yeah, but I didn't say that.
Speaker 2 Okay.
Speaker 2 That's my own family, probably, if I go to one of these things, you know, like an aunt or something like that. And I don't, I don't,
Speaker 2 come on, Raj.
Speaker 119 Are you cooking? Are you the chef?
Speaker 69 My wife is a great cook.
Speaker 5 My wife is a great cook.
Speaker 65 Like, she's very talented in the kitchen.
Speaker 75 Now, granted, I would say Foreman Grill, I'm top three, four guys, maybe in the history.
Speaker 2 Rushmore. I'm Rushmore Foreman Grill, George Foreman Grill guy.
Speaker 119 I was unbelievable. What's your top dish off the Foreman?
Speaker 41 Any meat, basically.
Speaker 24 Also sandwiches.
Speaker 9 I'll put some sandwiches in there.
Speaker 2 Anybody's meat?
Speaker 41 Not anybody's meat.
Speaker 44 I guess we would need certain meat.
Speaker 27 I had an Australian wagu.
Speaker 2 It was okay.
Speaker 24 That was down in Texas.
Speaker 69 Japanese wagu and an Australian wagu.
Speaker 22 And once again, how was I supposed to pick against them?
Speaker 28 These people are just spreading this thing out in front of me.
Speaker 12 This is $7,000 per bite, basically.
Speaker 28 It's like...
Speaker 2 Brand new ray gone. All right, I'll pick you.
Speaker 119 Where was this? Who was whipping out the Japanese wagu at the Buddy Beach bro down there in Texas Tech?
Speaker 16 You need to go stop by Buddy Beach.
Speaker 2 Listen,
Speaker 2 hey, they got money down. The ground, the ground.
Speaker 123 It is very kind to those people, which is why I would say it has to be God's country.
Speaker 28 I mean, I would literally just plant it
Speaker 57 them right on top of that stuff.
Speaker 54 Jage, have an incredible Thanksgiving.
Speaker 85 We hope your family enjoys it.
Speaker 34 We hope Koe is okay on the beach as he's been running around a lot.
Speaker 119 We're going to find out here in about five minutes. Haven't heard anything or seen anything, so I I think we're okay.
Speaker 2 That's the scariest.
Speaker 119
I just want to say before we sign off, I am very thankful for you guys. I have a lot of fun doing this every week.
Your fans are awesome. I really enjoy interacting with them.
Speaker 119
This is an opportunity every single week for me to come on here and just talk some ball and shoot the shit with the boys. I thoroughly enjoy it.
I'm very thankful for all of you.
Speaker 119
I'm very thankful for everybody who gives me the opportunity to have a job in sports. Greatest job in the world.
I'm unbelievably thankful.
Speaker 119 Be a friend, tell a friend something nice might change your life.
Speaker 2 Wow. Wow.
Speaker 121 30 seconds we got.
Speaker 12 I don't know what I'm supposed to do here.
Speaker 69 Thank you, Jage, for the compliment.
Speaker 28 Jage, Jage.
Speaker 2 I didn't know how much time it was.
Speaker 2 I did not know how much time. Hey, thank you for
Speaker 117 that.
Speaker 85 Also, we found the photo, I believe, that you guys were referring to.
Speaker 80 So cool that in that moment, you acknowledged that history was about to be made.
Speaker 22 Thank you so much for joining us every week.
Speaker 17 We're thankful for you, Jage.
Speaker 18 Thank you for everything you've done for us and for Ball. You're the man.
Speaker 124 Be a friend, tell a friend something nice.
Speaker 121 It might change their life.
Speaker 80 We'll see you on the other side.

Speaker 2 Football!
Speaker 61
It's 26th. I said 27th.
That's because I'm excited for Thanksgiving, which is tomorrow.
Speaker 2 We'll be off tomorrow and Friday, but football will be carrying us all through a great holiday that launches us into the most important time of the year when it comes to ball, meaningful football.
Speaker 24 Now, we currently have a sale at store.patmatfish show.com for 25% off everything on there.
Speaker 22 I believe the helmets are sold out.
Speaker 27 We will be randomly sending the signed Riddell mini helmets to 10 random purchasers of the helmets.
Speaker 111 I think we're going to restock those.
Speaker 30 Those are very cool. We're going to try our best.
Speaker 92 Shout out to Riddell putting that together.
Speaker 100 Everything else, still 25% off at store.patmackfyshow.com, but it's called the meaningful football Sale because we're at Thanksgiving right now.
Speaker 42 You hear every coach chit-chat about, hey, we want our team to be playing our best ball after Thanksgiving.
Speaker 99 Well, guess what? Tomorrow is Thanksgiving.
Speaker 23 Every team is going to want to be playing their best ball.
Speaker 13 Every team kind of knows what's in front of them.
Speaker 37 Some teams know they're desperate and they're going to have to win out and have some other things help them out like the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 5 Other teams know that they kind of control their own destiny at the moment. The Detroit Lions can potentially be one of those types of teams.
Speaker 18 Green Bay Packers can also do the same.
Speaker 15 Cincinnati Bengals need a lot to happen, but Joey Burrow is all the way back.
Speaker 125 And the Baltimore Ravens have been the favorite to win the AFC North, both in the sports books and in actuality, for the entire season, even though they've looked like ass for a majority of it.
Speaker 20 There's so many special storylines that can develop, let alone.
Speaker 55 Is Taylor Swift going to be there in
Speaker 2 Kansas in
Speaker 56 the Cowboys?
Speaker 2 She has a song with Post Malone, doesn't she?
Speaker 49 So.
Speaker 112 Does she?
Speaker 28 Interesting.
Speaker 2 I don't want to start.
Speaker 77 Banging a pout or giving out any free performances from anybody that is a multi-billionaire because of her incredible talent talent and work ethic.
Speaker 52 But there's a chance that these games, not just on the field, but at halftime, put together the greatest Thanksgiving slate in the history of the NFL.
Speaker 2 So we appreciate that.
Speaker 2 Hell yeah.
Speaker 63 Toxic campus here at Boston Connor and that Ty Schmidt.
Speaker 1 One out of the hammer down.
Speaker 70 Cowboys, AP Tone is over
Speaker 13 somewhere over there.
Speaker 112 Taunton season, baby, let's go.
Speaker 112 You going out there? Because all my brothers gonna be up in a tree stand this weekend or in a duck blind or whatever you want, whatever your weapon of choice is.
Speaker 16 Yeah, see, Tim McVeigh already used one of his tags out here in Indiana, and then he's going back to Pennsylvania this weekend, actually, see if he can go find one of them up in the hills.
Speaker 91 I saw Riley Green pull down some monster over there in somewhere left of wherever we are right now.
Speaker 42 It is hunting season, which once again, meaningful football season.
Speaker 80 That's right.
Speaker 89 All these things tell one story.
Speaker 42 Oh, there's a little briskness in the air.
Speaker 44 Your heating and air can't keep up with the proper temperature, so it's either one extreme or the other.
Speaker 16 Thanksgiving is happening.
Speaker 104 Wait a minute, it's hunting season.
Speaker 113 Wait a minute, it's meaningful football season.
Speaker 68 We are in the middle of it. Let's enjoy the hell out of it.
Speaker 38 Our stats on 60% more of the bets on teams have been absolutely abysmal.
Speaker 34 As we look ahead to the Thanksgiving slate and the Black Friday game, how many heavy favorites or heavy-betted teams are there?
Speaker 48 And what is kind of the public saying about where they think this games are going?
Speaker 112 So when you look at that first one,
Speaker 112
tomorrow, that is tomorrow. Thank you.
Thanksgiving. We just talked about it.
Green Bay at Detroit, 52%.
Speaker 76 You're so locked up in a blind or a tree stand up there in Pennsylvania.
Speaker 112 Well, you were asked if I was hunting this weekend. I was not animals hunt winners, so let's talk about those.
Speaker 112
Detroit, 52% of the money right now is on Detroit. 50-50, basically.
So I'm not surprised by that one. You go to the next one, Dallas, 69% is on the Cowboys.
Speaker 2 They are America's team right now.
Speaker 112 I promise you that. What?
Speaker 2 Hunting winners.
Speaker 9 Just watching the pure joy that came through your entire soul whenever you thought of that.
Speaker 26 A little bit too late, but
Speaker 2 still thought of it.
Speaker 112 We were going to force it in there no matter what.
Speaker 44 And guess what you are doing every day?
Speaker 94 Uh-huh.
Speaker 2
Yeah, you're hunting winners. Yeah, you're a full-time hunter.
Yes, we are.
Speaker 51 Yeah, we're looking through these sports books and we're hunting winners.
Speaker 2 So wake up early.
Speaker 26 Hey, it's meaningful football. Yeah.
Speaker 2 Early risers.
Speaker 71 Wakey, wakey, hands-off, snakey.
Speaker 59 Find our cakey.
Speaker 31 Let's beat these sports books is basically what you were saying is a full-time winner hunter.
Speaker 85 And I hope you can find some for us here because I tell you what, it hasn't been great for a lot of people.
Speaker 112
Also, don't forget to eat your eggs and bakey. But as we talked about Detroit, Green Bay, basically 50-50.
Dallas is getting almost 70% of the bets because everyone loves watching them.
Speaker 112 They are very, very exciting, and they're coming off a huge comeback win.
Speaker 56 Kansas City Chiefs getting 31% of the bets.
Speaker 32 Isn't that crazy?
Speaker 49 And there's a stat about Rode Favorites, I believe, on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 49
I believe they're undefeated. I think they're like 25 and 0.
Ever? I'm pretty sure they're like 25 and 0. Something ridiculous got sent in yesterday.
Speaker 40 John Ewing says since 2004, Rode Favorites are 25-1 straight up and 20-6 against the spread on Thanksgiving per Bet Labs.
Speaker 34 Chiefs minus three Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.
Speaker 2 And if you have a gambling problem, go ahead and call 1-800 Gambler.
Speaker 4 This is me covering my ass, John Ewing.
Speaker 54 Well, you can use some gambling stats letting you know that if you have a problem, do not read these.
Speaker 17 You are choosing to read these.
Speaker 106 And if you have a problem, you need to go get your help.
Speaker 22 Thank you for doing that, John Ewing.
Speaker 21 And also, if you do have a gambling problem, 1-800-Gambler is where you need to go to.
Speaker 23 It is obviously an addiction that is not funny, not enjoyable, but gambling is something that is very prevalent and also something that can indicate what future games are going to have.
Speaker 112 Since 04, so when did the Lions get good? Three years ago?
Speaker 112 So, probably 17 of those Lions were probably always home dogs. So, just 17-0, probably against the Lions.
Speaker 61 Oh, I didn't even think about the Lions being home dogs every single Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2 Every year, yes.
Speaker 82 Okay, so that's that.
Speaker 98 John Ewing actually said, it looks like Bet Lab just kind of took a look at what the Lions have been, which is
Speaker 127 probably a big factor in that.
Speaker 10 Yeah, and this ain't the same old lines, this is a brand new Lions, but the Chiefs getting, or favored by three and a half in Dallas, and only getting 31% of the bets is crazy just to think about where the Kansas City Chiefs are in public perception-wise.
Speaker 15 Ty, why do you think that is the case?
Speaker 85 Is it strictly because the conversation has just been they don't look good, they don't look good, they don't look good?
Speaker 6 That's kind of how everybody feels, yeah.
Speaker 50 Maybe, and I think, you know, like Diggs mentioned, everyone's kind of just infatuated with watching the Cowboys right now. Their offense is very fun to watch.
Speaker 50 They obviously got a couple of those guys on defense, and I don't know. I think maybe public perception-wise, people think that the
Speaker 50 Cowboys' win over the Eagles is a lot more impressive than the Chiefs' win over the Eagles.
Speaker 2
Okay, there's no reason for that. I have no idea that's where you were headed.
That's not what I'm saying.
Speaker 102 Did you know that's where he was headed?
Speaker 60 Public perception.
Speaker 71 12-year Annette Valvet, A.Q.
Speaker 78 Shipley had no idea that's where you were heading.
Speaker 2 Defending Super Bowl champions.
Speaker 50 You know, I mean, so maybe that has something to do with it. And we're talking about George Pickens, you know, out of nowhere, becoming maybe the most dominant receiver in the NFL this year.
Speaker 50 And then again, it's like at the start of the year, it was, hey, the Cowboys are going to have to score 40 to 45 points every single week to win. And that's not really the case anymore.
Speaker 50 Their defense has come a long way. And then again, they are America's team.
Speaker 50 So, you know, anyone who is maybe on the fence about wanting to bet on the Cowboys, if there was ever a time you want to do it this year, you know, you're kind of in the sweet spot right now.
Speaker 61 Here's some more Thanksgiving trends from our friends at Covers. The Lions have lost seven of their last eight Thanksgiving games.
Speaker 124 Jack Harlow one was a loser, we think, immediately upon how that was set up going in, right?
Speaker 57 I think that was potentially a reason why.
Speaker 68 Since 2000, Rode favorites have gone 22 and 11 against the spread, which is obviously two-thirds, and 29-4 straight up on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 116 The Cowboys have gone 3-11 against the spread on Thanksgiving since 2011.
Speaker 57 Is this team different?
Speaker 115 Is this situation different?
Speaker 34 69% of the bets on the Dallas Cowboys getting three and a half down in Jerry World.
Speaker 79 Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, he's a man who's an all-time leading tackler for the Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 57 He's a college football national champion, a Super Bowl champion, a Ryder Cup winner, father of 10.
Speaker 28 The man loves Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2 Ladies and gentlemen, A.J. Hawk.
Speaker 2 Love that. it.
Speaker 130 Of course. Who doesn't love Thanksgiving?
Speaker 103 Is that my shirt?
Speaker 130 Do you have one of these? I mean, it's an Amazon special, so it's definitely possible.
Speaker 1 Is that Koofandy?
Speaker 4 Is that Koofandy?
Speaker 130 I think it might be actually. Yeah, mine's long sleeve.
Speaker 2 Yeah, welcome to the world, brother. That's what I wear those literally
Speaker 2 four out of five days of my life.
Speaker 16 They're so comfortable. Yeah, the long sleeve one's great.
Speaker 2 It fits perfect.
Speaker 42 I mean, they're doing, they, I'll tell you, Koofandy's showing up for me.
Speaker 74 I don't love that.
Speaker 53 That is where I'm at shopping-wise, and what I'm wearing.
Speaker 88 And I think people, you know, who
Speaker 2 maybe are
Speaker 79 suit wearers or nice clothes wearers, anytime they hear that I literally pulled this shirt out of a bag that was packed airtight that got delivered to my house this morning from ordering it last night, and I'm wearing it in a super professional setting, I think people would say, is disgusting.
Speaker 46 And I would like to let them know.
Speaker 28 Nobody knows that this thing was seven bucks.
Speaker 2 That's right. Yeah.
Speaker 130 Nobody. Why do they vacuum seal? Although, like the cheap ones that I always get on Amazon, they vacuum seam, like vacuum seal everything, I feel like.
Speaker 39 That's because the shipping needs to be very cheap too, brother.
Speaker 86 If we take the air out of that thing, we get that thing smaller, we can put it in a smaller package.
Speaker 29 So not only is the material very cheap and
Speaker 2 not worth a lot, but also the packaging is going to be worth half of what it could be because we're going to suck the entire air out of that thing.
Speaker 55 I will say the static sometimes
Speaker 31 coming out of that thing makes it difficult to wear fresh out of the bag.
Speaker 93 And also, because it's air sealed, you get those big, those big ones.
Speaker 99 I've been exposed a couple of different times because of those big blocks.
Speaker 93 You know, people saying, you just got that out of a bag when
Speaker 2 no.
Speaker 46 no no i have not and they it's literally right across your chest and then right across your stomach right here yeah that's the shirt of that's i mean this shirt obviously because uh made me feel good this morning when i saw it yeah holiday season with baby girl she's old enough to understand what's going on too so cool saw her on a drum yesterday both hands with drumsticks on a drum like this on the kick drum no she she needs it she's good at the foot though she is good with the foot i think she would be able to get the kick drum she she's She's a dancer.
Speaker 28 She's a groover.
Speaker 35 She loves Dookie.
Speaker 2 Hell yeah. Yeah, Kens has
Speaker 31 heard Dookie since the beginning.
Speaker 28 Every time Dookie comes on, she starts dancing.
Speaker 98 Kenz is a big fan of what's going on in that particular one, especially with the messaging as well.
Speaker 16 AJ, we're talking about the Thanksgiving slate.
Speaker 58 We're talking about Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 95 Obviously, they got 69% of the bets is the chatter right now.
Speaker 85 Chiefs getting 31% of the bets as favorites on Thanksgiving taking on Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 58 Bigger story.
Speaker 66 Dallas Cowboys getting 69% 69% of the bets on Thanksgiving against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 36 Bigger story. Which way do you kind of view this?
Speaker 22 Because it's crazy to me that people view the Chiefs this low, seemingly.
Speaker 9 That is just crazy to me, especially because they still have Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 130
Yeah, I think people, I think the majority of the public picking Dallas here. The spread three and a half, that's not a whole lot.
The spread was six and a half, maybe.
Speaker 130 I would understand more people on Dallas. But I tell you what, something about the hot hand in Dallas, they figured it out the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 130 I think people kind of, they trust Dak and they like what that Dallas defense has been doing.
Speaker 70 We like Dallas as well.
Speaker 26 We've actually chatted about like Dallas might be one of the best teams in football, but they're not going to be able to make the playoffs because they dug themselves too early of a hole.
Speaker 13 Is that how you're viewing the Cowboys as well?
Speaker 2 I love their offensive line.
Speaker 1
I love their run game. Dak's been fantastic, and we can talk about, obviously, the defense.
And the defense was obviously an issue, but then Jerry made some big trades. They went and got some guys.
Speaker 1 They improved their defensive line.
Speaker 2 How about Tyler Booker?
Speaker 126 AQ.
Speaker 1 What's that?
Speaker 130 How about Tyler Booker? They're a young guard. How do you like his play?
Speaker 1 He's playing fantastic. And the left guard, Tyler Smith, might be playing as the best left guard in football.
Speaker 64 Is Tyler Booker an Ohio State Buckeye?
Speaker 2 No, Bama. No, no.
Speaker 2 I love that you know the offensive line for the Cowboys age.
Speaker 130 I've been seeing some baldy breakdowns. I'd like to check stuff out.
Speaker 130 I mean, some of these young guys, these younger linemen, they come into the NFL and they seem like they are, I don't know, it's a very tough position to come in and play very well at a young age.
Speaker 130 And these guys are, they're surprising me, and it's very impressive to see what they can do.
Speaker 29 I do appreciate the fact that we are finding young dogs because we thought we were going to go on a drought of dogs at the offensive line position because seven-on-seven, skills camps, what the rules are going to be, and not enough training.
Speaker 52 It's nice to hear that Tyler Booker out of where?
Speaker 2 Alabama.
Speaker 82 Joining us now, ladies and gentlemen, the greatest college football coach of all time has won 100 national championships with Alabama and I assume can tell us more about Tyler Booker on that offensive line.
Speaker 124 Ladies and gentlemen, Nick Saybay.
Speaker 92 Coach, how are you?
Speaker 126
Good, guys. Happy Thanksgiving to you.
Happy Thanksgiving to you. Enjoy it with your family.
Speaker 123 Absolutely. I hope you will as well.
Speaker 2 You're at the office right now, or are you at home?
Speaker 126 I'm at the office working, man. Working.
Speaker 10 Yeah, me too.
Speaker 30 You know, not as much good football work that you are having.
Speaker 24 I assume you're watching film, breaking it down.
Speaker 16 Thanksgiving, obviously, good time for teams to know what their team is in the NFL. In college, Thanksgiving is basically like, hey, here we go, final push.
Speaker 36 Can we talk before we dive into college ball with you?
Speaker 123 Tyler Booker and the offensive line thing that they thought there was going to be, what was it, like two years ago, three years ago? I forget what it was, maybe three years ago, four years ago.
Speaker 7 Recent history, we've been doing a show.
Speaker 29 There's started to become a theory that we weren't going to be able to have young offensive linemen that are good in the NFL.
Speaker 37 Almost as if guys were getting soft or the game of football is getting soft and there wasn't enough time to make dogs to have enough NFL offensive linemen.
Speaker 42 I think you guys were very worried about that from an offensive line position about young people coming in.
Speaker 61 Now Tyler Booker gets a shout out here from A.J.
Speaker 52 Hawk and it feels like offensive line play is actually developing in a big way.
Speaker 25 Was there a time where you thought you weren't going to be able to find offensive linemen or was there a downtime and then an uptime?
Speaker 36 Like, what do you think about the state of offensive line as they are the most important position in all of all balls, I think?
Speaker 126
You know, I think it's all about the guy. I mean, Tyler Booker is a really smart guy.
He's a really mature guy. He's a pay attention to detail guy when it comes to technique, assignment,
Speaker 126
and, you know, studying the player. He's going to have to block, whether it's pass block and run blocking, whatever it is.
So he is the kind of guy that I think can play early.
Speaker 126 He played early for us here. Doesn't surprise me that he's doing well in Dallas, you know, for them, you know, now.
Speaker 126 He was actually back, I think, for the LSU game, came up in the box and talked with them. And, you know, he's really happy with the situation that he's in, and I think doing really well.
Speaker 126 And I'm kind of very proud of him.
Speaker 80 Yeah, what do you think it is about offensive line?
Speaker 9 When you say the guy, you just, is it a
Speaker 80 like a work ethic?
Speaker 24 What do you think it is that really creates the best offensive lineman in your eyes?
Speaker 126 No, I think that offensive line and defensive line are probably the two positions in football that are the most like technique-centric. If you
Speaker 126 if that explains footwork, hand placement,
Speaker 126 knowing the right angle you got to go to block a guy, when to come off of a zone block to get up on the next level. I mean, all these things are kind of
Speaker 126 coachable and technique-centric in terms of who can understand the concept and be able to go apply it on the field.
Speaker 126 So, and I think some guys struggle with that, some guys don't.
Speaker 126 It's a place to me where the guys have the most pride in what kind of competitors they are, how smart they are, how smart they play.
Speaker 126 And they're usually a really tight-knit group because they don't get a lot of accolades for what they do, and they have a very difficult job.
Speaker 126
You know, he's that right kind of guy, I think. And that's what we always look for in guys.
We had a lot of guys here play, you know, when they were freshmen.
Speaker 126 But I think if you're drafting guys, you got to draft guys that if you're going to draft them with the salary cap and all that, they need to play. So
Speaker 126 obviously a good pick for Dallas, and he's working out well for them.
Speaker 30 Yeah, and I love the mindset of an offensive lineman.
Speaker 42 Hey, you're going to get no credit.
Speaker 2 You're going to be in hand-to-hand combat.
Speaker 29 Yeah, you're going to take on maybe the best athletes on earth.
Speaker 22 And you make one mistake out of 60 plays.
Speaker 25 They're going to talk about that one particular play, not the 59 good ones.
Speaker 44 But we need the best. We need the best.
Speaker 41 You need to keep going.
Speaker 82 You offensive linemen are weirdos, bro.
Speaker 2 Absolutely. Absolutely weirdos.
Speaker 49 We like it just that way.
Speaker 35 Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 13 Was there a time when they were down?
Speaker 1 I think there still is a little bit. I think there's, and Coach can probably talk more to this, and just...
Speaker 1 The fact of all the RPO, all the spread, everybody just telling offensive linemen to run nakeds and boots all day and not really, hey, we're going to run downhill duo, downhill power.
Speaker 1 Bama does, and there's some other teams that do, but there's a lot of teams that just live and die by the RPO system. And I don't think that translates right away to the NFL system.
Speaker 2 Okay, here's a quote from draft night with Tyler Booker.
Speaker 106 It feels like they knew they got the right guy.
Speaker 118 People get so excited to play football until they come across Tyler Booker.
Speaker 49 I start to see that love leave their eyes.
Speaker 93 That's what makes me love the game, says Tyler Booker. Love that.
Speaker 73 We'd like 10 of those guys on our team at all times.
Speaker 2 All right, like, yeah, look at you.
Speaker 59 Yeah, Coach Sabin, love it.
Speaker 35 Yeah, yeah, we like that.
Speaker 2 We like that.
Speaker 126 One thing I'd like to add to the whole offensive line thing is I think the advent of RPOs has minimized the development of offensive linemen in college when it comes to drop back passing, which is a much bigger part of the NFL.
Speaker 126 So they don't learn not only the technique of pass blocking, but also systematically, you know, who do I have to block? Who's the back guy? You know, all those things. Now the
Speaker 126
quarterback redirects the protection. You got to change your whole thinking on the run.
I think those types of things are not things that are being coached in college the way they used to be.
Speaker 126 But my theory as a coach was always,
Speaker 126
I know that every player on our team wants to play in the league. So our systems are going to reflect the development they need to make to be able to play in the league.
That's what helped recruiting.
Speaker 126 Since I couldn't coach bad players to play good, that was a really good big piece of it for me.
Speaker 2 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 28 Yeah, not a good coach unless it was good players. And I think you took good players and made them great.
Speaker 24 And I think your culture was one that everybody is trying to replicate there.
Speaker 54 You are a fascinating individual, bro.
Speaker 10 Do you know what part of football do you think you know the least?
Speaker 121 Because obviously you're a DB coach, right?
Speaker 75 And you spend time on the defensive side.
Speaker 16 Offense would be the thing, but yeah, right.
Speaker 61 You break down offensive film every single weekend.
Speaker 125 Like, when did, is there, do you coach every position when you were coaching?
Speaker 86 Like we hear from the other, are you hitting every single position group?
Speaker 5 Are you bouncing around?
Speaker 95 Do you stay on the defensive side?
Speaker 27 Do you go mingle with the offensive linemen?
Speaker 15 Like, what was your style?
Speaker 97 Because I remember you always had that hat on, right?
Speaker 67 You always had that hat on, and you were about to get at somebody's ass, and every once in a while, you're mic'd up.
Speaker 36 But what were you coaching every position every day?
Speaker 5 How did you kind of operate?
Speaker 126
Well, first of all, the hat had resiliency. The straw hat you can take off and throw as hard as you want to throw, and there's no damage done.
I mean, that's important in the selection of a hat.
Speaker 69 I wish the headsets had the resiliencies of those hats.
Speaker 122 Yeah, yeah,
Speaker 126 the headsets, not quite so much durability.
Speaker 126 But
Speaker 126 I spent like,
Speaker 126 I probably told you this story before, but like 80%
Speaker 126 of my time on the defensive side of the ball. I like coaching the DBs, but I had coached linebackers, so I understood the front seven.
Speaker 126 So, and that was helpful in being a coordinator, which gave you a leadership opportunity with the entire group, which, you know, I enjoyed as well.
Speaker 126 So I spent more time with the defense because I wanted to be my best assistant. In other words, I was special teams guy and defensive guy.
Speaker 126 So why would I go try to call plays on offense, which is what some people try to do, but that's not their expertise. So
Speaker 126 I coach the coaches.
Speaker 126 Like, you know, we're talking about offensive line, footwork, hand placement, all those things, being around good offensive line coaches like Joe Pendry and people that we had for years.
Speaker 126 Stoutland, who's at the Eagles now,
Speaker 126 learn like exactly what their expectations are. So the next coach, you can coach the same way that that guy coached and you kind of learn by osmosis.
Speaker 126 But that's probably the position, the run game on offense, which is not that complicated.
Speaker 126 But the techniques of playing offensive line was probably the thing that I learned most about while being a head coach.
Speaker 126 When you're a DB guy, you kind of know what the receivers are supposed to do, what they got to do to run good routes and all that type of thing.
Speaker 126 You understand the passing game and the passing concepts. So that was probably it for me, but I learned it through the years and tried to help develop our coaches.
Speaker 126 But I basically coached the coaches other than the DBs. So I was always the defensive back GA,
Speaker 126 and that's where I spent most of my time.
Speaker 91 Yeah, you're creating some great ones.
Speaker 9 I mean, we got like league MVPs popping up out of there all over the place.
Speaker 22 All right, let's talk about college ball a little bit, the place that you won all the time in.
Speaker 2 Go ahead, AJ.
Speaker 130
Coach, yeah, you guys are headed to Ann Arbor. We know Ohio State's taking on Michigan.
Ohio State has not, you know, the last four meetings hasn't gone their way.
Speaker 130 I guess if you're Ryan Day, like, what do you, how's this week, like leading up to a game like this?
Speaker 130 How do you make it, I don't know, like, it's not another game, but how do you approach something like this when we know all this online?
Speaker 130 I know you spent some time in Ohio State, you kind of understand the hoopla around this rivalry and how big a deal it is. Like, how would you approach it, I guess, if on Ryan Day's side?
Speaker 126 Yeah, well,
Speaker 126 here, I've been asked this question a hundred times.
Speaker 101 Great question, AJ.
Speaker 130 Thank you.
Speaker 126 What would you do differently to get ready for this big game?
Speaker 126 And my answer was always, I would do nothing different.
Speaker 126 Because if there was a better way to do it, we'd have already been done it because every game you play is a big game. So you can't afford to lose to anybody, not if you're in Ohio State's position.
Speaker 126 But I think when you look at this game more as an opportunity for your players, to have a chance to have a great win, which will take a lot of resiliency, a lot of overcoming adversity.
Speaker 126 That's what makes it a great win, rather than looking at it from a negative side and saying, oh, we haven't won the last four games, so we got to win this game.
Speaker 126 So you create a lot of anxiety by changing shit for your players and doing all this crazy stuff. And then they're looking at you saying, don't you believe in us, Coach?
Speaker 126 I mean, we've been doing well all year, doing this same practice, this same time to come to meetings and do all this stuff.
Speaker 126 You already got Thanksgiving week, which is already a distraction on how you handle your players for Thanksgiving. So,
Speaker 126 you know, I
Speaker 126 do it the same way.
Speaker 74 Yeah, but you got to understand that it's real, though.
Speaker 2 You know,
Speaker 126 did you like routine as a player?
Speaker 2 Pat,
Speaker 126 did you like routine as a player?
Speaker 2
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Yes.
Yeah.
Speaker 126 So I'm going to change your routine because it's a big game and screw you up.
Speaker 2 Look how mad he is right now.
Speaker 36 He just got so mad at even the thought of doing that.
Speaker 5 And then at the beginning, your answer that you said, I've answered this a hundred times.
Speaker 35 If there's a better way to win a game that we're trying for one particular game we don't care last week if we why aren't we doing that every single game i think that's the difference between having the pressure of winning every game versus having the pressure to win a couple of games throughout the year that your fan base are going to remember now to that point though ohio state's national champions they're undefeated right now number one team in the league and the country i guess in the entirety of it all Ohio State Buckeye fans, all they care about these 2,188 days since they beat Michigan.
Speaker 51 I mean, that's like Ryan Day's getting asked that the day or two after winning the national championship.
Speaker 12 Hey, congratulations. That's so cool.
Speaker 82 I guess we can say you're certified now.
Speaker 2 Okay, way to go.
Speaker 16 You put a piece, a trophy into the trophy room.
Speaker 44 Michigan, so they beat us here.
Speaker 96 They beat us there.
Speaker 15 This is all under your watch. What do we, Urban Meyer has a bar down here called 7-0.
Speaker 85 You know, he never did then other stuff.
Speaker 106 So when are you going to get that done?
Speaker 41 Ryan Day has to at least, I don't want to say acknowledge that, but he understands.
Speaker 16 And his players here too.
Speaker 16 I think I heard the Downs to Business podcast where jeremiah smith and uh josh downs nope caleb downs yes caleb downs we're all three of them but caleb's downs we're talking about the importance of this game and them understanding it and calling it the team up north and all that do you know that your players know like for instance the iron bull obviously every single year the iron bull is a big one for uh auburn gigantic one for you guys now every single game you have to win because it's a national championship conversation auburn wasn't at that stage so like do you acknowledge that there is heightened hype maybe from the other side or from fans?
Speaker 5 Like, how do you kind of address that?
Speaker 2 Or do you say, we're trying, all right, I'm not, we're not, we don't care what everybody else thinks.
Speaker 67 We're trying to win this particular game.
Speaker 62 How do you address that type of stuff with all the noise and hoopla, as agent would say?
Speaker 126 I try to minimize the noise, knowing that the players are hearing all these things. So what I wanted our players to do was think that it's going to be about what we do.
Speaker 126 So let's focus on what we do to have to go execute and play our best football in the game and things will take care of themselves.
Speaker 126 But I think when you play in these games, especially on the road, which Ohio State's going to do and Alabama is going to do, you have to have resiliency because it's going to be difficult to play on the road.
Speaker 126 But that difficulty is what creates an opportunity to have a great win. So if you focus on the right things and look at it as an opportunity,
Speaker 126
And, you know, I said it last year. I mean, these Ohio State fans, they're psychotic about this, man.
They all need to go to see the doctor someplace.
Speaker 126 I'd rather win the national championship than beat Michigan. That's just me.
Speaker 126 Although I'd love to beat Michigan, don't get me wrong. When I was at Ohio State last year, we beat them up there, similar situation, except in reverse, they were ranked really high.
Speaker 126 We had already lost two games. And, you know, we had a terrible negative week of practice, but Woody came and talked to the team and said, this is an opportunity for a great win.
Speaker 126 And that was a difference in the mindset of how we played. And they played tight and we played loose and we played ass over tea kettle and won the game 14 to 9.
Speaker 126 I remember that game from 1981 as much as any.
Speaker 32 And that's because the Ohio State people let you know, finally,
Speaker 12 finally, you guys get a win up there, I assume.
Speaker 35 And you saying these people need to go see a doctor about it was, I remember like it was yesterday up there at Notre Dame.
Speaker 98 You're cold as hell and you're telling these Ohio State fans, you have a chance to win a national championship.
Speaker 105 What are we even doing?
Speaker 48 You were visibly upset in the moment, but I think that is-uh, if you don't have that from a fan base, that's not good either.
Speaker 68 You know, so that's how the Ohio State people view it.
Speaker 44 It's like, oh, sorry, we expect to win around here. That go coach at Colorado State.
Speaker 44 What does that mean for you, Con?
Speaker 27 I don't even want to get into that.
Speaker 69 I don't even want to get.
Speaker 46 Have you heard about Mora going to Colorado State, Coach Sabin?
Speaker 126 No, I have not heard that, but I don't know why he would do such a thing.
Speaker 2 Well,
Speaker 2 so.
Speaker 130 Should have called you.
Speaker 69 Congrats, Colorado State.
Speaker 49 Redstock going. Got going.
Speaker 2 Thanks for the good one.
Speaker 77 The UConn, the Yukon grads that we have talked to, you know, Darius Butler, Dan Rolovsky this morning, just saying, what?
Speaker 2 Guys going to Colorado.
Speaker 15 He's leaving Yukon to go to Colorado State.
Speaker 2 And we told him those ransom.
Speaker 126 He's actually doing this or is this just a talk?
Speaker 1 This has happened.
Speaker 49 Done deal.
Speaker 2 It happened last night.
Speaker 2 Done deal.
Speaker 39 Left Yukon to go.
Speaker 59 This is the this is Pete Dama. You know it's real.
Speaker 2 This is the authority right here.
Speaker 54 He left Yukon, have two nine-year nine-game wins seasons.
Speaker 39 You get it.
Speaker 18 Massive for UConn.
Speaker 15 Brings them back.
Speaker 18 They have a Blitnikov finalist, a potential Heisman playing quarterback.
Speaker 41 They're not in a league.
Speaker 53 They're independent, just like Notre Dame.
Speaker 44 Nobody ever talks about Yukon.
Speaker 76 You know, nobody talks about the downside of being independent.
Speaker 42 We're starting to learn it right now here.
Speaker 2 Moore goes to Colorado State.
Speaker 2 We didn't know Colorado State was in the Jim Moore market. And I don't think the UConn people fully understood that Colorado State's a better job than UConn right now.
Speaker 30 That's a little slap-in-face reality, I think, for UConn folks.
Speaker 79 But Darius Butler wanted to go on the record of saying, we thank Jim Moore for his time and services to UConn.
Speaker 2 Thank you, Coach.
Speaker 105 We do appreciate that.
Speaker 107 Crazy time right now, coach.
Speaker 2 Crazy time for coaches right now.
Speaker 126
I like Jim Moore. I think he's a really good coach and thought he was a good coach when he was in the NFL as an assistant and as a head coach.
So it's great for Colorado State, I think. We think
Speaker 30 that's Orlovsky's take.
Speaker 16 Maybe Orlovsky and Darius Butler need to go coach the team.
Speaker 2 They should. Maybe co-head coaches.
Speaker 38 Dan, you just coach the offense.
Speaker 22 D-Butt, you just kind of get the defense. You guys come together for team meetings.
Speaker 15 Maybe you should talk to each other in those meetings.
Speaker 21 You handle it however you want to handle it.
Speaker 84 You handle it however you want to handle it in this entire thing.
Speaker 30 UConn losing our coach Colorado State is crazy.
Speaker 68 Let's talk about maybe losing a coach to a team in your own league that you have to play a couple of times next year while you're in the middle of maybe a playoff run.
Speaker 25 Go ahead, Ty.
Speaker 50 Yeah, coach, I understand. You know, at this point in the year, if you have a team who is potentially going to make the playoffs, then it needs to be bunker mentality.
Speaker 50
Hey, don't listen to any of the noise outside. We have everything in front of us.
Let's take care of business. But in a situation with Lane Kiffen at Ole Miss,
Speaker 50 is there any way that this is not a distraction for the players going into the Egg Bowl? Because this isn't just Twitter and newspapers, TV, radio, whatever.
Speaker 50 You can't go anywhere without hearing, you know, hey, Lane's leaving or is he not leaving? He's going to make a decision on Saturday.
Speaker 50 Like if you're a player on that team, or I guess if you're Lane too, like how do you try to handle this situation? Because it feels like it's gotten so big.
Speaker 50
It's to the point where even if they can say it as much as they want, it's not a distraction. Let's go out there and win.
Let's just play the game.
Speaker 50 Like it is a distraction because literally everyone who watches college football or is associated with the game is talking about this.
Speaker 126 Yeah, well, I think you have to be upfront and honest with your team, you know, about things like this.
Speaker 126 And anytime we had a disruption or a distraction, I brought it up to the team and I challenged them to handle it in a mature way.
Speaker 126
An example, you know, when we got schools shut down, we were in the first day of spring practice. They say, you got to go home.
You can't practice. COVID is here.
So we're shutting it down.
Speaker 126
I called the team in and said, hey, look. This is a great opportunity for us.
Whoever handles this disruption the best is going to have the best chance to win the championship.
Speaker 126 Who won the championship?
Speaker 2
That was you. Yeah, I remember.
Was that Nindy?
Speaker 126 Yeah, how you handle disruptions and distractions like this
Speaker 126
determines the maturity of your team and their ability to stay focused on the things that matter. That's what maturity is.
Can you stay focused on the things that matter?
Speaker 126 And what people are saying on the internet doesn't really mean anything. So
Speaker 126
stay focused on the things that matter, which is how you play. You want to play in the NFL someday.
You want to get drafted. You want to make more money next year as a college player.
Go play good.
Speaker 126
That's what you need to do. So that's what you need to focus on, not where your coach is going to go, not what's happening, not what people are saying.
And nobody knows the answer to that.
Speaker 126 But it isn't an easy thing to control outside noise, but that's the way I always try to do it.
Speaker 122 Yeah, but coach, you're doing the Pat McAfee show.
Speaker 22 You got to be retiring soon.
Speaker 29 I need to know if you're going to be around.
Speaker 90 These are the questions that were coming up. Remember when you started?
Speaker 22 I don't know if you even saw these actually, because once again, the internet, what a fairy tale place in your mind of wherever it is, whatever it is.
Speaker 76 I know you love visiting the internet all the time.
Speaker 42 It doesn't even know, doesn't know anything about it, but that was a real thing that started coming up.
Speaker 9 You had to answer those questions what for like the last 10 years of your career, right?
Speaker 99 Oh, Saban's going to retire, he's going to be done.
Speaker 16 He's already got the resume, he's got everything, he's going to get out of there.
Speaker 53 Those are the types of distractions whenever you're at BAM and already built the culture, right?
Speaker 29 As opposed to, hey, he's going to leave and go to another job.
Speaker 126
Yeah, well, I had a couple of those. He's going to leave and go to another job.
And I never talked to anybody about that. I mean, it came up on occasion, but the retirement thing was the big thing.
Speaker 126 You know, that was the big thing people used in recruiting.
Speaker 126 And I think, you know, once you get old, that's what you need to expect.
Speaker 126 So players used to ask me when I have them in my office recruiting them, they say, are you going to be here for my whole career? Are you going to be here for the next four years?
Speaker 126 And I would look at them and I would say, because of the transfer report on all that, I would look at them and say, well, hell, are you going to to be here for the next four years?
Speaker 2 It goes both ways. Yeah, it certainly does.
Speaker 35 It certainly does.
Speaker 27 You had a hell of a run.
Speaker 22 But anything to kind of weaponize against a recruit or your current players, because the transfer portal these days, people are going to do it, which is why the old Miss crowd is so loud.
Speaker 51 In the LSU crowd is so loud. In Florida's crowd is so loud.
Speaker 75 And I guess we'll be getting the answer on Saturday from Lane Kiffin, even though I feel like somebody already knows.
Speaker 85 You know, there's a couple people on the internet saying, I know, I know, I know one person who does know if there is a decision made in what it is, and it's this West Virginia hilljack who just happened to become the greatest college football coach of all time.
Speaker 42 Coach Sabin, whenever it comes to this type of situation, as being the OG and a man who's been there for everything, and obviously the story of college football is what Lane's going to do right now.
Speaker 89 And you're a mentor for him, like noted mentor.
Speaker 17 Do you feel pressure?
Speaker 31 Do you feel pressure in this for Lane?
Speaker 116 Like for any, like, how do you kind of view it when you're giving answers to him?
Speaker 16 You're speaking strictly from like your perspective or how, how do you kind of, I'm not going to tell you to tell me what he's saying or what your conversations are, but how do you view your conversations with him whenever he's trying to figure out his life, which is a huge decision?
Speaker 69 This is a gigantic decision.
Speaker 122 And he has his best team that he's ever had in the moment.
Speaker 42 Like, are you speaking from your personal perspective?
Speaker 40 If you were him, like, how do those conversations kind of go?
Speaker 126 Yeah, well, I try to give him my perspective from my experience.
Speaker 126 I've been in a few situations like this, whether it was when I was a defensive coordinator at the Cleveland Browns and going to Michigan State, stayed there, finished the season, you know, hired five guys to run the Michigan State program while we played the last four or five games of the year at the Cleveland Browns, went to the playoffs.
Speaker 126 So
Speaker 126 I think everybody
Speaker 126 has to manage their situation relative to where their heart is and what they feel. And I know that in Lane's situation, every coach wants to coach their team.
Speaker 126 I mean, it is really, really hard to up and leave your team. And every coach wants to coach their team.
Speaker 126 And, you know, I gave a big speech about this last week, you know, on game day about calendar should be set up so every coach can finish the season with his team.
Speaker 126 That's good for the players and it's good for the team.
Speaker 126 So, and the circumstances in college football right now don't really allow that to happen because of when the transfer portal hits, when the early signing day hits, you know, you're still playing games, you're trying to get into playoffs, and you got all these things to deal with.
Speaker 126 So, So, you know, hopefully maybe we'll take some of these changes and put them on a calendar where it's a little more, it's better for the players and you don't have all these guys getting fired five games into the season.
Speaker 88 Yeah.
Speaker 85 And to your point, the speech that you gave on Saturday, I know you don't really look at this type of stuff.
Speaker 90 Mega numbers, dude.
Speaker 29 Mega numbers.
Speaker 84 And everybody seemingly agreeing with you as well.
Speaker 30 So the more of those that you have, let's go ahead and let those fly. Let's go ahead and let those fly.
Speaker 60 You remember, you don't want to be the commissioner.
Speaker 63 You know, everybody was saying whenever your final 10 years at Alabama that you were going to retire because you want to retire.
Speaker 69 Now that you're retired, everybody's saying they want you back into doing different jobs, do this job, do this job.
Speaker 27 So, what you need to do is sit that incredibly genius brain right on that set and start pontificating on what it should look like because then everybody else will have to do it.
Speaker 56 Because if it doesn't start happening, guess who's going to have to fucking do it, buddy?
Speaker 126
Yeah, but I need inspiration. And, you know, you're my inspiration.
So if I'm going to have good speeches, you got to bring them out.
Speaker 60 No, do not, do not do that.
Speaker 5 We did try to, every once in a while, you'll see when we're talking about something and he's just sitting in the middle, it's like, oh, yeah, let's, let's see if we can get this.
Speaker 35 Hey, it's in there.
Speaker 2 We know the right answer is in there.
Speaker 16 So Herbie does too.
Speaker 22 Herbie's supposed to talk about something.
Speaker 65 It's like all kind of decided. We are going to talk.
Speaker 16 Because we want to hit, there's so many things that we're trying to hit up there.
Speaker 23 It's like a team effort as it's kind of going.
Speaker 22 And there'll be something that Herbie's supposed to hit.
Speaker 11 He'll hit it.
Speaker 60 And then immediately his brain just goes, I think there's more meat on this bone over here.
Speaker 59 And he'll go, Coach, I just kind of want to, and then I'm like, yes, you see me turn my chair actually.
Speaker 19 It's like, yeah, let's go ahead and start doing this.
Speaker 22 And I want to let you know, you're fantastic at it.
Speaker 16 And everything that you say, not only does the resume make it legit, but also everybody's like, yes, that sounds like the right answer.
Speaker 85 So we appreciate that you do it.
Speaker 44 And the calendar setup, I do think you're going to be able to initiate a little bit of change.
Speaker 16 You talk about guys getting fired in their first five weeks at a place. I mean, the first firing this year that was mega is obviously up in Penn State.
Speaker 15 Here's a Penn State alum, alum, AQ, who has a question for you.
Speaker 1
Yeah, Coach, my alma mater is obviously in a tough situation. They're trying to find their next coach.
With every time there's somebody mentioned of interest, that person signs an extension.
Speaker 1 What would your strategy be in today's game of trying to hire a new coach?
Speaker 1 And also, does not being a part of the NIL and transfer portal, for instance, a former NFL coach, does that have its challenges?
Speaker 126 Yeah, I think that,
Speaker 126 first of all, I think that these coaches are actually looking at not just, you know, it used to be what's in it for me. Like, what kind of contract are you going to give me?
Speaker 126 How much are you going to pay me? But that's not the case right now, in my opinion.
Speaker 126 I think people think that, but I think every coach is going to look at what is your financial situation relative to being able to put a roster together for next year and the year after that.
Speaker 126 So, and right now, because we don't have any rules governing this in college football, everybody can have their own deal.
Speaker 126 So if that's a good deal and you can build a roster, then people are going to be more interested in that.
Speaker 126 Now, what it does is give a coach that somebody has interest in to use that as leverage to get his current situation better
Speaker 126 or say, this is a much better situation at Penn State or wherever it is, because people are going to look at that.
Speaker 126 If you don't have an opportunity to build a roster in this day and age, and it's financially based, and i hate to say that about college football and student athletes but that's where it's at then you're not going to have a chance to be successful and the expectation is is that you will be successful when they hire you um so um
Speaker 126 i i don't know about the penn state job i don't know enough about it i know it's a great school they got great tradition But I don't really know enough about their current situation from a financial standpoint, how they've used their revenue share this year relative to how they can move it forward to the next year.
Speaker 126 I don't know any of those details. So I don't know how interested people really are in that job.
Speaker 2 I think they have a lot of money.
Speaker 55 From my understanding, they have a lot of money.
Speaker 21 But I think the issue is like all the people that they thought they were going to get, like all the home run hires for them in their eyes.
Speaker 75 Because whenever they move on from James Franklin, it's like, all right,
Speaker 2 who now gets a chance to come?
Speaker 69 And then all those schools are like, that's cute.
Speaker 44 Actually, we'll just, is this good? Yep. Is this good? Is this good?
Speaker 4 Is this good?
Speaker 2 And then all of a sudden, the well runs dry quickly for them.
Speaker 9 And I think that was a backfire that none of us, I mean, I guess somebody probably projected or predicted it would happen, but I don't think Penn State folks saw that happening.
Speaker 21 Now, there's a new name that has kind of popped in that I think you know pretty well.
Speaker 1
Yeah, Coach Brian Dayball obviously got fired from the New York Giants. I have been very loud thinking that his resume is very, very good and he should be the next guy.
I know he coached under you.
Speaker 1 What are your thoughts on him?
Speaker 126
Oh, I love Brian. He did a great job here for us.
Offensive coordinator, we won the championship with him calling the plays.
Speaker 126 You know, he's been in the Super Bowl several times with Belichick and won.
Speaker 126
And, you know, I think he was in a tough situation at the Giants, but I do think that he's a very good coach. He's a bright guy.
He's a good recruiter. He relates well to the players.
Speaker 126
He's a good teacher. He's got a good offensive mind.
He'll be able to put a good staff together.
Speaker 126 I think that would be an outstanding hire.
Speaker 110 NFL guys going to college.
Speaker 15 Obviously, you were Browns before you went to Michigan State.
Speaker 10 I think, obviously, Pete Carroll, I think, was in the NFL with the Patriots before he was at USC and had success and everything like that.
Speaker 48 Matt Ruhl, he was in the NFL before he got into college.
Speaker 34 Like there's a lot of NFL coaches that have made their way into college and had success, but there's also NFL guys that have come into college and not had success.
Speaker 121 Dayball, with you and what you saw, you think he could be a college football coach full-time?
Speaker 22 And is that something that, I guess we don't even know if he would want the job?
Speaker 85 I mean, we've been kind of pitching him for the job.
Speaker 2 Do you know? No, I don't. Yeah,
Speaker 74 we don't even know if he would want the job.
Speaker 83 But like, that's the conversation because everybody saw Belichick not do well well early.
Speaker 23 And they're like, well, the NFL guys doesn't necessarily mean you're going to have success.
Speaker 81 It's a different world.
Speaker 22 What are your thoughts on that whole thing with Dayball potentially being a drawback is that he was an NFL guy?
Speaker 126 Yeah, well, I think the biggest thing here is
Speaker 126 if the guy has never coached in college, it is a little bit different. You know, recruiting is different than the draft.
Speaker 126
Developing players is a little bit different. Numbers are different.
When you can practice are different. How long you got with the players is different.
There's a lot of different things.
Speaker 126 So if you've never never been exposed to that, then it takes you a while. Either way, if you've never coached in the NFL and you're a college coach and you go in that direction, it's a big change.
Speaker 126 If you're a NFL coach who's never coached in college and you really don't understand, you know, how you got to operate in college,
Speaker 126 that's a big change. So I had two sets of notebooks.
Speaker 126 You know, I had all the stuff when I was in the NFL, whether it was Houston, Oils, Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, whatever, they were in these boxes over here.
Speaker 126
And then I had all my college stuff over here. So wherever I was, I just pulled that drawer open and that's went to work.
That's how we did it.
Speaker 126 I had been in both places. So it was a little easier for me to adapt.
Speaker 96
Oh, now you're getting choked up. Thinking about it.
Yeah, thinking about it.
Speaker 12 You coach so much in both of these.
Speaker 35 Get choked up.
Speaker 2 Football life, man.
Speaker 101
Hey, thank you for your service, coach. We got emotional too there.
We got emotional too, thinking about it all.
Speaker 124 You just having everything documented.
Speaker 16 I think that's what we were learning about Bill Belichick.
Speaker 22 And I think you were referring to Bill Belichick there.
Speaker 40 Like, Bill never has done college.
Speaker 2 So, like, your first time experiencing anything, there's going to be a whirlwind of information.
Speaker 122 And he's a smart guy.
Speaker 69 We think he'll figure it out.
Speaker 5 Like we think he will take it in and figure it all out.
Speaker 23 But it happening immediately almost seemed like a pipe dream from the beginning because he had no experience at all.
Speaker 11 But what we learned from working with him with the draft, he types his notes.
Speaker 69 He has diligent, diligent notes for like every situation.
Speaker 75 Are you similar to him in that aspect?
Speaker 126 Yeah, I keep notes. I wrote up every player that we ever recruited, you know, strengths, weaknesses, critical factors.
Speaker 126 Is this a guy that fits in our system from, you know,
Speaker 126 a character,
Speaker 126 intelligence, attitude standpoint? Because I think those things are important, you know, especially when you're in, you got to know the situation that you're in, and you got to know your team. And,
Speaker 126 you know, here we needed guys that wanted to be really good because they wanted to be really good.
Speaker 126 Because the standard was we need to win every game.
Speaker 126 So you can't come here worrying about winning a game you got to come here about being the best that you can be and everybody doesn't think that way and you know i used to tell recruits all the time everybody can't play for the yankees there's a different kind of pressure a different kind of expectation so are you capable of that or are you looking for an easy way because there's not an easy way here it takes what it takes So are you willing to make that commitment?
Speaker 126 So that's the way we operated. I don't know if it was right or wrong, but that's what we're doing.
Speaker 59 It was right. Look right below here.
Speaker 2 I don't know if you see him.
Speaker 31 it's just all the trophies.
Speaker 74 Yeah, it ended up working out, it was the right way.
Speaker 24 But having the self-awareness of your situation and the type of players you need for that type of building is certainly a big one.
Speaker 37 One guy that was in your building that's now in a situation that you need to find the type of guys that can handle it is the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 22 Go ahead, Con man.
Speaker 49 Yeah, coach, you mentioned Tyler Booker on the offensive line. How about the defensive line and Quinn and Williams?
Speaker 49 They've kind of stepped up completely, and all the clips coming out of Quinn and Williams are hilarious. What does he mean kind of to the Cowboys locker room, do you think?
Speaker 49 And what do you think he brings to the Cowboys that maybe they were missing before?
Speaker 126 Yeah, well, first of all, Quentin is one of those guys that, you know, he wasn't a highly recruited guy in high school. I don't even know if he had any stars, but we liked him as a player.
Speaker 126
He came here. He worked his tail off to become what he is.
He got bigger. He got stronger.
Speaker 126 The guy is a very good player, and he has got the right work ethic attitude because he developed and came up from
Speaker 126 nothing in terms of his athletic career. When I say that, I mean, it wasn't like he was some high-profile guy that, you know, just everything was kind of laid out for him.
Speaker 126 He worked his way into being something that people didn't think he could be. And I think that carries over in his competitive personality, how he gets along with people.
Speaker 126
I mean, this guy is a joy to be around. I know his teammates will love him.
And
Speaker 126 I think he's going to be a great addition for that team chemistry, not just as a player.
Speaker 82 And that's what Jerry Jones said.
Speaker 67 You know, Jerry Jones said, I got guys that are coming in here that are going to be able to stop the run, but also going to be magnetic personalities.
Speaker 51 Feels like that is what Quinnon is.
Speaker 22 Quinnen is magnetic. He's from the, he sneezed and then he blessed himself.
Speaker 61 That was the first time I saw him.
Speaker 26 Bless you.
Speaker 2 Thank you. Thank you.
Speaker 87 And I was like, this guy is awesome and unique, but certainly has been there, done that through the Alabama world.
Speaker 41 And then now he went through New York.
Speaker 22 Now he's at Dallas.
Speaker 16 Feels like a perfect time.
Speaker 5 And face mask is awesome.
Speaker 123 So sweet.
Speaker 97 You see that, AJ?
Speaker 122 His face mask.
Speaker 2 I don't know if he had that in New York or not.
Speaker 108 It is sweet over there.
Speaker 2 He's living a whole life.
Speaker 58 All right, coach.
Speaker 16 Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family.
Speaker 110 We'll see you up in Michigan.
Speaker 126 Yeah, happy Thanksgiving, guys. Appreciate it.
Speaker 126 And, you know, I wouldn't give up, just so everybody knows, when you ask about all these coaching jobs and is there a perfect situation out there and all that, I would not give up being on this show for 20 minutes a week to go coach someplace.
Speaker 126 That's just how much I like it. So I appreciate you guys for that.
Speaker 2 How about that?
Speaker 2 Oh man. How about that?
Speaker 35 They pay you a lot of money over there.
Speaker 103 Coach, you're something you should reconsider.
Speaker 2 You know, we'll be around.
Speaker 116 We'll be around if you need it.
Speaker 34 But on that note, we're very thankful that you take time out of your life to share wisdom and insight with us.
Speaker 106 You're the man.
Speaker 69 It's been an honor to work with you alongside you and also, I think I could say become friends with you.
Speaker 2 And on that note, I want to learn a little bit more.
Speaker 16 What's the side of choice for Coach Saban here at Thanksgiving?
Speaker 41 What does the meal look like in your eyes?
Speaker 126
It's as traditional as you can get. You know, turkey, dressing, gravy, a little mashed potatoes, green beans.
I mean, just the most basic. That's what I love.
Speaker 2 Pumpkin pie, apple pie?
Speaker 70 What do you do at the end?
Speaker 126
I'm not a big pumpkin pie guy, to be honest with you, but I like pie. I'm big on sweets.
So
Speaker 126 we'll hit something. Whatever Miss Terry has, I'll be eating.
Speaker 69 And you're going to sit your ass up, too, when she brings that shit to you, okay?
Speaker 2 Let's sit.
Speaker 35 Ladies and gentlemen, the GOAT Coach Saban.
Speaker 2 Sit up.
Speaker 2 How about Miss Terry? How about Miss Terry Goat?
Speaker 86 Do you think I carried this whole thing around here for you just to sit there?
Speaker 64 Please have a little respect for this entire scene.
Speaker 2 Everybody's kind of circling you.
Speaker 93 She is
Speaker 63 a fantastic person, as is Coach Sabin.
Speaker 99 And whenever I say, like, I feel like we've gotten to the point where we're friends, I do think that we are actual friends.
Speaker 13 Like, he will look over at me for something. And, like, the way he talks to me is not as if I'm like a player on his team.
Speaker 9 He talks to me as if it was like a friend.
Speaker 67 Like, I'll say something, and he'll be like,
Speaker 68 he'll talk shit about something to me.
Speaker 2 And I'm like, oh, I'm like, I think I'm friends with him. Are we friends? We peers? Wait, are we friends?
Speaker 96 I didn't know we were like friends out there, but he is deep down in his heart.
Speaker 23 He's just a football guy from West Virginia, man.
Speaker 2 You know, like that. He's awesome.
Speaker 130 What a legend. Like, is anyone going to start? But is anybody going to touch his
Speaker 130 seven national championship? Is any other coach going to touch that?
Speaker 2 Maybe Lane, man, if he stays at Ole Miss. Geez.
Speaker 2
I doubt that. Yeah.
Just,
Speaker 95 you know, Coach Saban did a lot about coaches staying with their team.
Speaker 83 Like he should be allowed to stay with his team.
Speaker 16 And Coach wasn't like saying he was going to leave.
Speaker 16 I think what Coach Saman was saying, he should be, there shouldn't be the counterpoint about him not staying with his team, especially with where this old miss team is at right now.
Speaker 16 Now, last night, obviously, the brand new projected playoff from the CFP committee, this is the most important one.
Speaker 116 This is the one that matters at the end of the day.
Speaker 2 They slide old miss. They move up Oregon.
Speaker 69 Now, is this because of the clause, you know, about maybe if you don't have your coach, we're allowed to judge you differently?
Speaker 69 Well, Hunter Yuricek said that that is not what we're talking about here.
Speaker 2 He actually did a little bit of a human thing when Reese asked him a question.
Speaker 131 But there was a change at 6-7 with Oregon and Ole Miss
Speaker 24 swapping spots.
Speaker 131 How much of an impact potentially could it be on Ole Miss if it's determined they don't have their head coach in the field?
Speaker 68 6'7.
Speaker 1 So cheers to Rich, man.
Speaker 68 We didn't have any discussion.
Speaker 68 Yeah.
Speaker 130
Oh, man. This is our.
Was resetting them up for that, you think?
Speaker 93 It feels like a work. Yeah.
Speaker 2 Feels like a work.
Speaker 130 It doesn't feel like a great time to use that one.
Speaker 2 No, they should. It was the most important conversation.
Speaker 12 It was the most important conversation coming out of that.
Speaker 2 The week before, it was Miami, Notre Dame, still.
Speaker 23 Still a chatter point.
Speaker 16 This week, the most important conversation was the ole Miss situation, strictly because of the clause.
Speaker 81 And then Oregon gets its first big win in some eyes.
Speaker 23 So this is the conversation coming out of it.
Speaker 69 Now, Joey Galloway has thrown himself right into it.
Speaker 59 Good luck out there, Joey G.
Speaker 2 Good luck out there, Joey G.
Speaker 2 I love Joey. And Joey will stand on business, by the way, and then he will go golf in 20-degree weather, and then he'll come back and stand on it again.
Speaker 106 I don't think he is worried about that, but he has his opinion, of course.
Speaker 36 But the 6'7 thing, this is our fault.
Speaker 21 This is our fault. Well, he officially killed it.
Speaker 112 It's dead.
Speaker 92 No, because not only the 6'7 thing potentially being dead, I would like to apologize to everybody that it happened because I do do feel like we were a part of it whenever we were saying, Hunter, we need to get better.
Speaker 2 Like some pizzazz.
Speaker 2
That's not what you meant. That's not what you meant.
And then on game day, I looked at the camera a couple of times where Reese was like, yes, Reese didn't know what I was about to say.
Speaker 36 Reese goes, Hunter Yurchek, athletic director from Arkansas.
Speaker 58 Precisely, yes.
Speaker 44 That guy needs to be better at his job.
Speaker 2 And it's like, oh, my God, there's no way that that was supposed to be said about him.
Speaker 71 But what I was trying to say is like, hey, you're a very pivotal.
Speaker 23 piece of this college football season.
Speaker 17 So we need you to be great at your job.
Speaker 40 And it is 100% on us for saying, I need you to be a human.
Speaker 5 We need you to do this entire thing.
Speaker 15 Don't look like you're reading a script.
Speaker 69 So I think he was trying to add a little pizzazz and be a human in there.
Speaker 31 I don't think he was trying to disrespect the situation, even though that's how everybody else said.
Speaker 36 So I would like to apologize for maybe being an influencer into that situation happening at that particular situation, the biggest one of the week.
Speaker 38 I will take accountability for that.
Speaker 18 For that, Hunter, I appreciate you trying to add a little pizzazz.
Speaker 58 I don't know if that was necessarily in the tool bag.
Speaker 60 I don't know if that was necessarily the toolbox.
Speaker 71 Sorry.
Speaker 69 I don't know if that was necessarily your thing, but we appreciate you trying to be a human in there.
Speaker 16 Now, what did we hear from his actual answers, though, whenever he was talking about
Speaker 85 seven or any of the other situations around the CFP?
Speaker 112 Yeah, so the only movement in the actual playoff bracket last night was Oregon jumping Ole Miss, and that was coming off the win against USC.
Speaker 112 So obviously, the committee liked that win enough to put Oregon ahead of Ole Miss. And they're also looking at the eye tests and stuff like that, is what she said about why Oregon passed Ole Miss.
Speaker 112 Now, some of the other talking points, Miami is still in there as the,
Speaker 112 what you would assume,
Speaker 112
ACC champion. Now they have a long, tough road to get to the ACC championship because SMU and Virginia, they hold their own cards in their hand.
If they win, they are in the ACC championship.
Speaker 112 So Miami at this point most likely would have to be in an at-large. They are creeping up the rankings.
Speaker 112 There is a chance now when you look at them that Miami could potentially get in as at-large.
Speaker 112 And now, now that they're right next to each other, now Notre Dame and Miami comes into play in the head-to-head. Now there's there's a lot of people saying, Does the head-to-head matter? Does it not?
Speaker 112 There is an incorrect thing on that graphic right there. The best win for Notre Dame is not at 22 pit.
Speaker 2 It's probably against USC.
Speaker 112 Yeah, so like that's a talking point. A lot of people are really, really pissed that BYU isn't higher.
Speaker 112 Their only loss on the season is at Texas Tech, and they have a lot of not only ranked wins, but also wins against teams that are bull eligible.
Speaker 84 Who was the new AD that was brought in the CFP committee?
Speaker 2 I think it was from Utah.
Speaker 2 Oh,
Speaker 112 but I think Utah actually,
Speaker 112
I don't know if they, yeah, Miami jumped Utah last night, too. So that was, that was something as well.
But there's a lot that's going to happen
Speaker 112
this weekend. A lot of rivalry games.
A lot of those teams are playing in tough games. So nothing is obviously set yet.
There's a lot to be done.
Speaker 2 What about the hum of the
Speaker 2 Dukes JMU? How come I'm not seeing them?
Speaker 78 I don't get to follow along every single game that they play, but I've been told by their people that they should be in a conversation here.
Speaker 112 It's because the conference that they play in, the strength of schedule is absolute shite.
Speaker 112 the the the one team that they've played is that their fault i mean no it's not the one team that they've played was a i believe they lost by 14 to louvo and louvo just keeps continuing to lose which is not helping their case at all but it's a lot of um i don't know if it's against jmu it's just against the people don't think they've played anyone good at all okay got it okay well uh thanks to the college football playoff committee coming to an agreement here
Speaker 2 what ty
Speaker 50 I mean, I never thought, like, it's just setting up, like, let's go to 16 teams or whatever, so then we can stop doing this.
Speaker 50 and I know that we like having the two lanes in we like having the jam used in
Speaker 50 well exactly I think I think they they put out the hypothetical spreads of the first-round matchups like two lane would be a 21 and a half point underdog at Texas like do we really want that in the first round do we want another thing that we had last year I understand we need some you know we need some of these smaller schools who don't really get a shot to shine to get in there but do we I mean do we
Speaker 50 it just like let's get the let's get the 16 best teams of the nation in.
Speaker 8 Okay, so we talked about Tulane maybe going in there. Okay.
Speaker 16 I just, I guess PFT James Madison grad was tweeting about this.
Speaker 45 I guess they just lost to Texas San Antonio.
Speaker 2 That was a few weeks ago.
Speaker 50 Yeah, but that team shouldn't make the playoffs.
Speaker 89 But on that note, this is what college football is all about.
Speaker 50 I know more teams get a shot to shine.
Speaker 112 Tulane does have to play in a conference championship game, so it's not necessarily going to be Tulane.
Speaker 2 Starting 16, counting down to one.
Speaker 2 It might be North Texas.
Speaker 27 You know what I mean?
Speaker 115 National champion.
Speaker 28 I think we can add a little bit with 16, I suppose.
Speaker 2
I agree. 12.
12, well, Bell, you know, 16.
Speaker 2 You got a lot of things that are mean, green. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1
12 isn't bad. Which is two-lane, by the way.
Mean green. Yeah.
Isn't that what they are?
Speaker 70 Yeah, not against UTSA, though, were they?
Speaker 2
They're the green wave. They're the green wave.
Mean green is that.
Speaker 2 North Texas.
Speaker 44 Yeah, North Texas, Eric, he got a job.
Speaker 112 Yeah, and Oklahoma State.
Speaker 2 Then I'm putting that team in without a head coach. He can win whenever.
Speaker 112 He's coaching through
Speaker 112 the playoffs, whatever.
Speaker 2 Okay.
Speaker 2 I'm sure that'll be okay.
Speaker 91 I'm sure that'll end up working out well.
Speaker 47 I'm excited to see how it all kind of plays out.
Speaker 10 Have the greatest Thanksgiving of all time.
Speaker 22 It's an incredible football weekend.
Speaker 16 I hope you guys get a chance to enjoy it with your family and friends. We'll be back on Overreaction Monday.
Speaker 10 College game days on Saturday from Ann Arbor on ESPN and on X.
Speaker 78 And in this time of thanks and gratitude, we would like to say thank you to all of you for allowing us to do this for a living.
Speaker 9 It is outrageous that this is what we do for a living.
Speaker 21 And
Speaker 16 yeah, thank you so much. We'll try to enjoy it every day as long as you'll have us.
Speaker 124 Be a friend, tell a friend something nice.
Speaker 57 It might change their life.
Speaker 44 Goodbye.
Speaker 2 That felt like a good one there. Oh, yeah, good.
Speaker 10 On the Thanksgiving one.
Speaker 86 Did you hear the gratitude mention in there, AJ?
Speaker 2 Because that's the other word for Thanksgiving.
Speaker 130 It was perfect. Yeah.
Speaker 2 I did hear it.
Speaker 16 Anytime I'm trying to say thanks to people, there's thanks, appreciate, and gratitude.
Speaker 2 You know, you can kind of mix those up so you're not hitting the same ones, but there needs to be more words that are saying that because we should be very thankful for everything.
Speaker 80 You know, could be dead.
Speaker 2 Could go exactly.
Speaker 112 Any day.
Speaker 120 You have no idea.
Speaker 89 Oh, so I think about that.
Speaker 130 It was animals' tones about to get this weekend, right?
Speaker 97 Well, the winners.
Speaker 97 The winners.
Speaker 26 The book is about the sports book's about to be dead.
Speaker 2 The winners are about to be alive and well, brother. And we're on them, aren't we?
Speaker 2 Yes.
Speaker 2 Skitzer, break.
Speaker 16 On the other side, we're going to be making our picks against the spread.
Speaker 57 Hopefully, it will be an open hunting season and making the right picks as we continue here on YouTube, ESPN Plus, Disney Plus, TikTok Live.
Speaker 2 Anywhere else? X.
Speaker 2 K on X.
Speaker 49 Did you say that?
Speaker 42
We appreciate it. No, I didn't.
Oh, okay.
Speaker 49 I was going to say one.
Speaker 24 We appreciate you all so much.
Speaker 10 We'll make our picks and then we'll go into the greatest Thanksgiving of all time.
Speaker 54 Maybe the greatest Thanksgiving Day slate in the history of the NFL.
Speaker 2 Yep. Yes.
Speaker 112
I agree. I think it definitely, it looks like it before.
Now I think it will live up to the hype as well.

Speaker 106 Hey, Jay, did you see how cool this looked out here?
Speaker 73 I don't know if you got good eyes on it during the open, but we had a projector up on top there, obviously screen.
Speaker 61 Bulls found their own seats from around the Thunderdome.
Speaker 2 We had popcorn. We had snacks.
Speaker 84 And we had an early screener of, is this thing on?
Speaker 17 Which, obviously, Bradley Cooper aute,
Speaker 9 I do believe is the title or the descriptor.
Speaker 30 He wrote it. He directed it.
Speaker 61 I think I saw pictures of him shooting it.
Speaker 37 He actually had the camera.
Speaker 84 It's with Will Arnett.
Speaker 44 It's a,
Speaker 24 we watched it this morning.
Speaker 29 I think it has a 90%.
Speaker 50 Yeah, like 92%
Speaker 50 score on Rotten Tomatoes. It is certified fresh.
Speaker 3 Yeah, it is certified fresh.
Speaker 16 It was nice to dive in there.
Speaker 110 You can like, it's an intimate, it's a very intimate movie.
Speaker 108 And Will Arnett, obviously, I think we would all say, Will Arnett, yeah, we like him, but I don't think we know a lot about.
Speaker 2
Very lovable in this movie. He's good.
Very relatable in this movie.
Speaker 103 And they're saying this could potentially win some shit.
Speaker 35 Oh, yeah.
Speaker 33 I guess this could really win some shit.
Speaker 36 So we're incredibly pumped for Bradley Cooper.
Speaker 4 And thank you for the opportunity.
Speaker 97 We loved it, buddy. We went.
Speaker 2 Hey, we did.
Speaker 8 Now
Speaker 62 we started a little later this morning than we thought we were going to.
Speaker 24 So have we seen the final 25 minutes of the movie?
Speaker 28 We have not.
Speaker 97 But we will say getting to that point was awesome.
Speaker 67 Cooper killed it.
Speaker 2 Hey, hey, Coop, Coop.
Speaker 85 We're going to watch it afterwards. Thank you for the opportunity to do that.
Speaker 81 That was wild.
Speaker 23 That was a crazy situation.
Speaker 7 Like, hey, here's a movie that is 90, what?
Speaker 50 92%.
Speaker 2 From Bradley Cooper.
Speaker 28 Okay.
Speaker 28 He's like, would love the boys just to watch it and let me know what you think.
Speaker 85 It's like, it's good. It's awesome.
Speaker 91 We'll cook popcorn at 8.30 a.m.
Speaker 8 in the morning.
Speaker 7 And it's incredible.
Speaker 104 So it was a cool morning here at the Thunderdome as we launch into an incredible Thanksgiving weekend with great ball in store.
Speaker 53 The talks and tables here at Boston Connor at Ty Schmidt. One out of the hammer
Speaker 82 cowboys, AP Tone is here and 12-year NFL vet, Super Bowl champion. Hey, Q Shipley's here.
Speaker 2 Hey, Quick.
Speaker 33 Last holiday, obviously, we had a little situation where Skelly
Speaker 54 got stolen from your front yard, then returned.
Speaker 57 That was a beautiful thing.
Speaker 107 That was a beautiful thing.
Speaker 14 Now we're at the Thanksgiving time of the year, and it feels like we know more about teams now than maybe ever.
Speaker 107 We know that the offensive line is going to be the determiner on whether or not they're going to be able to win a Super Bowl.
Speaker 11 And we know that you deliver every single week.
Speaker 124 The top five performing lines around the NFL just for that week that just happened.
Speaker 59 Coming out of week 12, who's the number five performing?
Speaker 2 Whoa! The Chicago Bears.
Speaker 110 They're doing everything right up there in Chicago.
Speaker 2 They really are.
Speaker 1 I love this team, and I love this unit.
Speaker 1
Obviously, it starts with Darnell Wright, the right tackle. But watch the scheme.
Motion Cole Komet into the backfield because they don't want him one-on-one with TJ Watt on the line.
Speaker 1
So create the angle, create the downhill, and now you just cut him, make it easy. Look at the double teams finishing in the end zone.
That's Chicago Bears football right now.
Speaker 89 TJ Watt got a strip sack for a touchdown.
Speaker 61 Chicago Bears offensive line gets in there.
Speaker 6 Is that because that was on Caleb, not on the offensive line?
Speaker 2 Did you hear what JJ said?
Speaker 1 What did he say? He said that he would have liked to have seen Caleb get rid of that ball because he had plenty of time to get rid of that ball.
Speaker 112 Should a team rush for 100 yards to be eligible for the list? No.
Speaker 2 Okay. Don't have to.
Speaker 1 It's a passing game sometimes.
Speaker 2 And they passed it.
Speaker 2
And they passed it. I think it's a good thing.
I've got to do that, though.
Speaker 79 You don't really talk about the passing game much.
Speaker 1 Well, because, I mean, we're getting four teams a week basically running for 100 yards.
Speaker 2 It used to be 10.
Speaker 72 He took a team off his list because they couldn't pass block this week.
Speaker 2 Bingo.
Speaker 72 And it made me upset. Let's just put it that way.
Speaker 2 You think it's a big deal? You got to be able to do it both?
Speaker 2 That's why you're here.
Speaker 5 You want to know that.
Speaker 45 You've never done this before in your life, but I do understand you're saying it's a state of the game.
Speaker 1 Well, we have to because that's what the game is today, and that's what it is right now. And I told Foxy this.
Speaker 1
The way I go about this, every Monday, I watch every run, and then I come back on Tuesday, I watch every pass. Okay.
And so Tuesday morning, I turn on the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 1 They can't pass block to save their lives right now.
Speaker 8 So you had them on Monday.
Speaker 2 They were number one
Speaker 2
through the runs. They were unbelievable.
Rusher, how much?
Speaker 2 219. Yep.
Speaker 122 219-yard rusher.
Speaker 72 And Q, what is that? How come you can run block and you can't pass block? I know Penne Sewell is incredible in the run game, obviously the pass game too.
Speaker 72 But as a unit, why can they not pass block, but they can run block?
Speaker 1 It is two completely different worlds, run game and pass game. If you have these monsters and these guys can get hip-to-hip on the double teams, you can run it.
Speaker 1 And if you got a good back, they can make you look even better because Gibbs does as good as anybody in the league at setting up blocks for his guys.
Speaker 1 Lean this way to set up the block, get off on on the double team, cut back to the left, and boom, he's gone 70 yards, right? Pass game,
Speaker 1 they're not doing nearly as much play action as they did a year ago.
Speaker 1 And obviously you're seeing that uptick happen with Ben Johnson in Chicago, but now Dan Campbell's calling a plays and they're going drop back pass and they're just not very good at pass blocking right now.
Speaker 83 Okay, so you had to take him out of the top five.
Speaker 85 Guy rushes for 219.
Speaker 2 This offensive line not good enough to crack the top five in the entire NFL.
Speaker 83 Number five, Chicago Bears.
Speaker 16 Seems like they're getting it all right.
Speaker 2 They are.
Speaker 16 Congratulations, Chicago Bears and Zito.
Speaker 118 Feels like victory stakes around the corner.
Speaker 111 And also, Zito, great work on setting all this up, brother.
Speaker 53 Great work on all of it.
Speaker 10 Let's go to the number four performing offensive line of week 12 of the NFL season.
Speaker 12 Kansas State Chiefs, of course.
Speaker 2
Kansas State Chiefs. Of course.
Of course.
Speaker 1
Not, of course. First time on this year.
I think first time maybe in the last two years.
Speaker 2 Yeah, which makes sense. It's against Colts.
Speaker 9 The biggest issue with the Chiefs is whenever they don't have an offensive line.
Speaker 63 Now they have a top five performing offensive line out of nowhere because they're playing the Colts.
Speaker 6 Tell me how.
Speaker 1 Well, because they got back to doing what they like to do whenever they win games in the playoffs, and that is run the ball. They ran it 41 times for almost 150 yards in this game.
Speaker 1 Pass protection was great.
Speaker 2 Oh, and guess what?
Speaker 1 Let's get back into this stuff. The creativity, motion, Kelsey into the backfield, send Mahomes left, fake the sweep right, pull the guard.
Speaker 2 How good is that? Facebook. How good is that? Bring it back.
Speaker 63 I understand that they're treating the Colts like a playoff game because they're the number one team in the NFL, and they're having their fun, and they're doing the entire thing.
Speaker 69 But to, I guess, kind of echo your point even more, Patrick Mahomes is able to throw it too whenever he needs it.
Speaker 64 It ran at 40 sometimes.
Speaker 5 He was able to throw it a bunch of times, and it was all because of the protection.
Speaker 16 Now they lose Trey Smith.
Speaker 110 Your thoughts?
Speaker 1 Yeah, I think that hurts them definitely. But I think Josh Simmons, you see him right there, number 71, the left tackle, being back has made them such a better unit with Trey Smith.
Speaker 1 It's a really good unit. Trey Smith out.
Speaker 2 Calliendo's got to step up here.
Speaker 89 I love that the motion move is Travis Kelsey telling the crowd, let's make some noise here.
Speaker 51 Let's make some noise here.
Speaker 2 Come on.
Speaker 111 Yep, you know what's about to happen.
Speaker 2 Give me the ball, and you know what I'm going to do with it.
Speaker 69 It's going to be a touchdown.
Speaker 111 This is kind of what Chiefs football is, though.
Speaker 22 It's fun.
Speaker 6 it's good time, and their speedsters are crossing all over the place, and Patrick Mahomes has time to do his thing.
Speaker 61 Congrats to Chiefs, playing like it's a playoff game.
Speaker 112 Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 2 Yeah, good stuff.
Speaker 49 Did that touchdown count? Yeah. No, there's a face mask.
Speaker 2 Yeah, it didn't count.
Speaker 9 No, it didn't be. You were just talking about them being creative.
Speaker 11 Let's go to the number three performing offense. Anything?
Speaker 75 Anything to make the Colts look bad?
Speaker 1 I'm just watching film.
Speaker 2 I didn't see the flash.
Speaker 105 I mean, what are we going? I mean, what are we going?
Speaker 2 Hey, let me also say this.
Speaker 1 They ran that formation four times in that game. One of them was in overtime, which was the big run that got him down.
Speaker 2 Yeah, you get it, man.
Speaker 21 Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 1 It's coming. There's going to be 50 plays off of that now.
Speaker 75 You think Chiefs going on run?
Speaker 31 Chiefs is now the Chiefs again?
Speaker 1 I think they might be.
Speaker 2 Oh, is that all right? Are you sure?
Speaker 82 Because who's this?
Speaker 31 Because this is where they got to play this week.
Speaker 2 It's going to be a hell of a game.
Speaker 1 Number three. The Dallas Cowboys, number three this week.
Speaker 69 5-5- and one.
Speaker 11 People say they're too deep in a hole to make a playoff run, but is there a chance with how good their offensive line is, I guess?
Speaker 2 Let's take a look.
Speaker 1
Let's take a look at the right tackle, Terrence Steele. First of all, their guards are phenomenal.
BB's back at center, phenomenal. Terrence Steele got to cut off Jalen Carter.
Watch this vet move.
Speaker 1
Get underneath, pull his hair down. Yep, do all the things.
No holding call. And then we get the 20-yard run ripped right up the middle.
Speaker 112 Which you're allowed to touch. You're allowed to grab the hair.
Speaker 1 Well, you can do whatever you want as long as it doesn't get called.
Speaker 2 That was part of the helmet.
Speaker 2 You can tackle them by their hair.
Speaker 131 It's not a horse call.
Speaker 2 That's right.
Speaker 1
That's Jalen Carter, though. That's a fierce, fierce three technique.
He gets underneath them. That's big time stuff right there.
Speaker 11 So they're playing defense and they're doing an offensive line all of a sudden.
Speaker 1 And look at CeeDee Lamb getting involved. Look at him getting a nice little block that springs it right there.
Speaker 2 Boom.
Speaker 2 He locks it off.
Speaker 2
Yeah. Look at that.
It's pretty good stuff.
Speaker 30 And also keeping his feet clean.
Speaker 2 Don't roll up on me, please, God.
Speaker 112
Fun fact about the Chiefs and Cowboys. They're both currently the 10 seed in their respected conference.
So big one this one.
Speaker 42 And they both need one. They both need one.
Speaker 75 All right, who's the number two performing offensive line out of week 12 of the end?
Speaker 12 Welcome back, San Francisco 49ers.
Speaker 2 Welcome back.
Speaker 1
Certainly a good thing they had the run game going because Purdy was off early. I mean, just a tick off, but he was off.
Let's take a look at Trent Williams. It obviously always starts with him.
Speaker 1
Look at this little underneath move. Make it look real easy.
Climb, easy kick out. Use checks the other key.
Kick out. I mean, just walk in the end zone.
How good is that?
Speaker 9 He made that look very easy.
Speaker 24 71 is who we're talking about here.
Speaker 45 He just grabs the guy, turns out.
Speaker 130
Look how fast he gets up there. Look how fast he gets out to him.
Like, come on. You have no chance if you're a defender.
Speaker 5 AJ, you don't want to get in close. He's got him in a hug.
Speaker 124 He's in his body. And then he can literally just do whatever he wants.
Speaker 5 And then he just shoves him as if it's a casual day at the park or maybe in a turkey bowl somewhere around America.
Speaker 127 That's the best pickle in this era right there.
Speaker 130 Really? AQ, if you're eight yards, seven, eight yards deep as a DB or a linebacker and you you see Trent Williams sprinting at you and
Speaker 130 you realize the ball's coming right behind him, like good luck. What are you supposed to do there? Chop him down and try to create a pile and get a penalty, I guess?
Speaker 1
Yeah, it's an absolute nightmare. And Fox, if you can run it back to the beginning, AJ, you know this.
You've seen this play a billion times. This is the old school crack toss.
Speaker 1
You see the receiver on the left right there. That's the crack.
You normally pull the tackle. They use his athleticism to run through and get the angle.
There's a handful of teams.
Speaker 1 Miami Dolphins do this, which obviously came from this system, but San Fran has been doing this, and they use Trent Williams' advantage of his speed and athleticism to get up on that background.
Speaker 31 Best tackle of this generation, you said about Trent?
Speaker 56 Yeah, but I thought he was tipping plays.
Speaker 2
Remember that was the title? Yeah, he was, yeah. He was.
Remember on the internet?
Speaker 2 Oh, yeah, because his foot was bad.
Speaker 49 How about him just not even celebrating? Just looking right, seeing him score a touchdown.
Speaker 21 Well, he's definitely letting that guy.
Speaker 95 He turned immediately back to the guy.
Speaker 9 And I don't know if he said anything, but he certainly let the presence 71 go ahead.
Speaker 69 And Jawan Jennings, he will crack back, by the way.
Speaker 74 I think people do get mad at that.
Speaker 20 I think he turns, looks, touchdowns.
Speaker 45 Yeah, that's what I thought.
Speaker 81 Let me me walk by this guy yes just what a legend been there so many times before imagine you have a trent williams on your team i do
Speaker 49 have we heard any updates uh yeah will campbell starting left tackle to the ir for four weeks okay but not but not season ending okay that's huge dodger bullets ncl right not acl it's good it's huge that is big and i didn't like that about
Speaker 63 him on this I didn't like him in that cart with that thing.
Speaker 62 And I was like, man, so prominent.
Speaker 28 Like this year was supposed to, it's special.
Speaker 115 This is a special year. This is not cool that this is how this goes, especially with how misfortune can kind of be a big part of those injuries, especially on the trenches side.
Speaker 68 So for you guys to lose both your left side of your young offensive line is a bummer.
Speaker 9 Hearing that they can be back or he can be back, great news.
Speaker 68 That is a very positive, positive situation.
Speaker 49 Yeah, and starting left guard who got hurt, you're reverencing.
Speaker 49 He's not even in a boot today with the ankle that he had a problem with, but I am worried about the Matt Stafford MVPers like myself because Drake May goes out there that has starting left tackle and left guard and throws for 300 yards.
Speaker 2 It's going to be hard to keep up. It's going gonna be hard not to start screaming that.
Speaker 20 It's gonna be hard not to give him the MVP. This guy doesn't even have an offensive line.
Speaker 85 All right, let's go to the number one offensive line coming out of week 12 of the NFL season.
Speaker 103
Seattle St. Hawks, congratulations.
Congratulations to the St. Hawks.
Speaker 8 They're doing it all, aren't they?
Speaker 1
They really are. And it starts with play action pass.
It starts with running the football. And they do all of that extremely well, which only makes them better pass blockers.
Speaker 1 Let's watch this single combination between the center and the right guard.
Speaker 127 Bradford and Olu.
Speaker 1
Olu with Timmy. Boom.
Look at that shoulder. Pop him back on the center.
Open up the hole. Climb.
Look at Cooper Cup.
Speaker 2 Body the DP.
Speaker 57 Wow.
Speaker 1
Let me say one thing, too, about the offensive line. Their job is to get you to the second level.
The chunk runs happen when receivers buy in and get the blocks downfield.
Speaker 1
And you see it between all the good teams in the league. It's Cooper Cup, it's Jawan Jennings.
It's all of the receivers getting downfield. You even saw it with CeeDee Lamb.
Speaker 1 That is what creates the chunks and the explosives in the run game.
Speaker 29 That guy up there at number 11, double sticks up there.
Speaker 69 He's leading the league and everything.
Speaker 108 He might be the the guy.
Speaker 29 He was down the field blocking right there.
Speaker 6 You know, so let alone Cooper Cup, who was quadruple crown winner in the past in the NFL.
Speaker 6 You also got the number one wide receiver in the NFL running down the field, chasing down a corner or a safety.
Speaker 100 Now, granted, he's scared to death that he's running a route, so he has to kind of, it's much easier, but who cares?
Speaker 24 He's bought into the entire process.
Speaker 101 And let's talk about Jackson Smith and Jigba a little bit.
Speaker 5 You pair an offensive line with Jackson Smith and Jigba.
Speaker 2 You were saying that with wings wide open.
Speaker 85 You think this team can flap those wings to a Super Bowl with this combination?
Speaker 1
I really do. You just mentioned it.
He's leading the league in receiving yards, but let's talk about him as a technical wide receiver, doing all the things right, all the fundamentals.
Speaker 1
Right here, send him in motion, third and sixth. The route is designed to go to Kenneth Walker on the out route.
Nope. Got man-to-man coverage on the safety.
Safety has no ball skills.
Speaker 1 Yep, we're throwing it up. Look at the body at the end.
Speaker 2 Stacks him.
Speaker 1
Stacks him, pushes off a little bit. You can always get away with that.
Makes the play. Incredible job by him.
Now, this one right here, take the inside release.
Speaker 1 As he takes the inside release, watch him bend back out to get the safety, then go back over. It's all of the little things, that little bend back out gets him wide open on the over route.
Speaker 1 And then we got one more here. This one's incredible.
Speaker 1 If those top of the numbers extended into the end zone, this ball with a single high safety should be thrown one yard inside the top of the numbers. Bend back out, get him out.
Speaker 1 Yep, open it back up right and come inside.
Speaker 69 Oh, he's just controlling these guys, basically, and selling everything it's his third year right is that accurate third year so he's obviously developed through it all age did we know that he was going to be this dude he's a technician obviously he's incredibly talented and athletic and gifted and all that shit he's also a technician it seems like this guy Yeah, he's lightning fast too.
Speaker 130 You watch him get on top of DBs and like gets right in there all up and stepping on their toes, as they'll say. Makes him worry.
Speaker 130 But yeah, I think people in Ohio, they've been talking about this dude forever for a long time.
Speaker 130 He kind of went under the radar a little bit at times at Ohio State because they have so much talent but yeah the guy's an absolute monster he's you see like he's not a big intimidating guy either when you look at him he's just so fast and he's so good at running these routes and no one also his ball skills are off the charts man some of the balls that he catches and converts to touchdowns should not be touchdowns yeah to aj's point like the legendary ohio state wide receiver receiving room you know marvin harrison jr olave jsn garrett wilson they all kind of unanimously said hey jsn's the best one it's just he didn't play his senior year at oh state or whatever his last year was then he had shane waldron which is kind of the wide receiver killer, it seems like at this point.
Speaker 49 And now he has Clint Kubiak and he's absolutely destroying guys.
Speaker 2 Oh, yeah, he said that.
Speaker 45 And then he says sorry or something?
Speaker 49
Yeah, he said that about the Bears last year. Then he was there with the Bears.
Bears goes how it goes. Roman Dunze was terrible.
And now he's really good because Waldo's out of there. And then.
Speaker 32 Well, Ben Johnson's in there, but yes, sir.
Speaker 49 Ben Johnson as well. But yeah, it seems as though JSN has found his bag, bro.
Speaker 115 Yes, and he's found his quarterback, too.
Speaker 32 And his quarterback has said, thank fucking God.
Speaker 2 Yeah.
Speaker 102 So there's the top five performing offense a lot
Speaker 4 out of week 12 of the NFL season.
Speaker 70 We appreciate the hell out of you, AQ, doing that.
Speaker 53 Let's go ahead and pick the Thanksgiving slate and the Black Friday game, and then we'll pick two games from the Sunday slate.
Speaker 61 We're way too far removed on who's playing, especially at this stage of the season.
Speaker 85 So it'd be hard to pick all the games that are going to happen on Sunday, especially with all the news that's going to roll out.
Speaker 54 So we'll pick the Thanksgiving slates and then we'll pick the Black Friday game.
Speaker 5 And then we'll pick two from Sunday that we have to select.
Speaker 82 Now, AJ, Green Bay Packers take on Detroit, Jack White at halftime.
Speaker 30 Detroit favored by three, 52% of the money.
Speaker 42 Who do you like?
Speaker 108 How do you like it?
Speaker 130 I mean, I would assume Green Bay is a little bit offended that they are dogs headed into this game.
Speaker 130 I understand it's only three and it's on the road, so they give it to the home team, but I'm taking Green Bay here. I think their defense stands up once again.
Speaker 130 And hopefully Jordan Love, you know, gets that ball in the end zone two or three times.
Speaker 80 I'll tell you what, Maron, I don't like that you're doing that, but.
Speaker 85 I see it the same way.
Speaker 20 Give me Green Bay plus three.
Speaker 61 And maybe it's me just celebrating with Micah watching the highlights of him just taking over games, but it feels like he can do that.
Speaker 10 He feels like he can take over games.
Speaker 32 And that's not just him.
Speaker 74 I think the defense is very good over there.
Speaker 50 Yeah, I agree. And, you know, for a long time ago, obviously, both these teams are in different spots, but like he was very dominant in that week one game at home against Detroit, too.
Speaker 50 I know Panay Sewell is obviously like, you know, he's one of, if not the best right tackle in the NFL, but Micah fared pretty well against him.
Speaker 50 And we'll see, you know, if they can heat up Jared Goff a little bit, obviously the big concern is there's a chance that, you know, they give up 400 rushing yards because Jameer Gibbs could have 10 carries and run off 400 yards.
Speaker 50 Yeah, exactly. Jeff give them hell halfway.
Speaker 64 We'll be ready to go. Foxy, how do you feel?
Speaker 72 Yeah, I mean, if you look at all of our losses so far this year, it's against teams that have really good defensive lines. The Packers have a great defensive line, so that worries me.
Speaker 72 And to Ty's point, our only chance is if Gibbs runs for 400 yards. We got to pound the rock.
Speaker 1 We got to control the clock.
Speaker 72
That's our only hope. So if we can do that, we can win this thing because it's at home.
I feel better about it. That's all I'll say there.
Speaker 27 Gonna be going up to michigan this weekend would like the vibes to be high off a detroit win
Speaker 28 jameer gibbs is fun kevin shepherd's the decoordinator give me the detroit lions favored by three you could uh take a month's two and a half i'll do that for sure give it give me that also jake bates the super duper uxf super duper fl guy he's gonna do well i like the detroit lions favored by three kansas city dallas cowboys kansas city favored by three and a half post malone will be performing in halftime the dallas cowboys are getting 69 of the bets do you think they continue the run that they had at the end of the last game?
Speaker 93 Or do the Kansas City Chiefs have the end of the
Speaker 124 three now is what the spread could be?
Speaker 112
Both are out there, yeah. If you want the Chiefs, you get them at three.
If you like the Cowboys, you give them at three and a half.
Speaker 44 AJ, who do you like?
Speaker 108 How do you like it?
Speaker 130 This is a tough one for me. I'm very high on the Dallas Cowboys and what they are doing offensively and defensively, but I'm going to have to go trust my instincts.
Speaker 130 I'm taking the Kansas City Chiefs here at minus three.
Speaker 2 I'll be taking the Chiefs as well because I just saw them do what they did to the Colts, and I like the Colts still, so I kind of need this one, actually, to be the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 85 Although I do like what Dallas is doing, I appreciate and respect them.
Speaker 2 And I love that Post Malone's going to be performing halftime. Will there be a collab in there or two in any of these?
Speaker 44 We shall see.
Speaker 41 Cincinnati, Baltimore, nightcap on NBC.
Speaker 23 Baltimore favored by a touchdown at home in the bank.
Speaker 2 Little John at halftime.
Speaker 96 Joey Burrow back for Cincinnati.
Speaker 85 Same with Jamar Chase.
Speaker 108 AJ, who do you like?
Speaker 111 How do you like it?
Speaker 36 At this time, we're going to be struggling for energy.
Speaker 2 And then these two themes are going to light it up for us.
Speaker 130 Yeah, I don't know if you guys saw. I watched Joey Burrow, I believe it was presser yesterday talk about growing up watching uh watching the lions.
Speaker 130 He didn't, he he did mention a little thing saying the lions would lose usually when he was watching them growing up with Calvin Johnson and Matt Stafford, but he said he wanted to, you know, he wanted to be that guy on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 130 So I think Joe gives this team a jolt, and I think seven is a lot of points. So give me Cincinnati.
Speaker 2 That's a lot of points, man, especially a division game on Thanksgiving, man. Joe Burrows back.
Speaker 38 Give me Cincinnati plus seven as well.
Speaker 58 Let's go to Black Friday, shall we?
Speaker 70 Bears at Eagles.
Speaker 85 Eagles favored by seven, getting 56% of the public bet.
Speaker 108 Who do you like? How do you like it, AJ?
Speaker 28 Oh, man.
Speaker 130
I like the Eagles on this one. I think the Eagles' D-line comes to play.
I think I know the Bears' offensive line is very good, but I think the Eagles find a way to get it done in all the chaos.
Speaker 130 And if they don't get it done, they might get beat by 21.
Speaker 2 So give me the Eagles.
Speaker 41 Hey, and on that note, maybe.
Speaker 58 I'll take the Bears plus seven.
Speaker 32 That's a lot of points, man, especially for Black Friday.
Speaker 91 You know what?
Speaker 130
Give me the Bears. I'm flipping.
Give me the Bears.
Speaker 2
Okay, I like that. Hey, all right.
Hey, I like what you're doing right there.
Speaker 69 I do that move all the time.
Speaker 2 You very rarely are a flipper-flopper. That is not really your thing, but that's a lot of points for a Black Friday special super football game on Prime.
Speaker 125 And let's pick two games here from week 13.
Speaker 18 I'm going to pick Texans, Colts.
Speaker 2
Give me the Colts minus four and a half in the Loud House. J.J.
Watt on the call.
Speaker 63 Cannot wait to see this Colts team bounce back after a loss.
Speaker 41 And then
Speaker 118 Steelers, Bills, Bills favored by three and a half in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 Getting give me the Buffalo Bills favored
Speaker 41 going into Ackershare to get a huge win.
Speaker 70 Tone, do you hate that or love that?
Speaker 112
No, I love that. I mean, Josh Allen off potentially his worst game in five years, 10 days rest.
Yeah. He'll probably get it out on 0.5 seconds.
It'll be his quickest of the season. So that'd be funny.
Speaker 93 Yeah, but also Pittsburgh, I mean, is Aaron Rodgers coming back?
Speaker 44 Yeah.
Speaker 79 I thought he was going to play last week, which is why I had so much faith in them to beat the Bears.
Speaker 28 He doesn't play.
Speaker 6 So then all of a sudden, I don't think that was his decision.
Speaker 49 Sounds like that was doctor's decision all of a sudden that changes everything including the aura and the moxie aaron rodgers return him and josh love each other cool josh was squirming on the field i think he might be hurt it doesn't matter really oh yeah twice he and usually like and i'd be joking but he looked like he was in genuine pain on and they're coming off bye week or no or they had thursday yeah So we haven't seen him since then.
Speaker 49 So 10 days, haven't seen him since. I don't know if there's been an injury report, but it looked like he was in a lot of pain.
Speaker 50
Anytime you see a guy, like a big, tough guy like handsome. Handsome guy.
Thank you. Great, smart, funny kicking his legs down on the turf like that after he gets hit.
Speaker 50 It's like guys in the NFL don't usually do that unless they're like something really, really hurt.
Speaker 93 Especially Josh.
Speaker 2 Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
Speaker 24 Once again, incredibly charming and tough.
Speaker 2 Yeah. And handsome.
Speaker 115 He is funny. So much moxie.
Speaker 28 So much talent just radiating in that arm body. Great hair.
Speaker 1 Perfect amount of scruff.
Speaker 28 What a dream this guy is.
Speaker 7 Couldn't imagine anything better.
Speaker 2 Must be cool to have hair.
Speaker 49 It is, man.
Speaker 1
Yeah. I know.
All you guys.
Speaker 55 You got hair.
Speaker 62 I've seen you grow that thing out too.
Speaker 2 How'd it look?
Speaker 27 Yeah, I didn't know why that decision was made.
Speaker 92 I thought we already had your look forever.
Speaker 130 You ever go with just mustache AQ?
Speaker 2
No. You want me to do it? Yes.
Yes. Yes.
Can you imagine how awesome that is? Handlebar. Tuttle Smart.
Handlebar looks sweet.
Speaker 130 Handlebar for a little bit, but then you got to shave it off just into a straight, like old man stash for at least a day or two.
Speaker 96 Agreed, agreed.
Speaker 26 But Paul Tuttle senior. Paul Tuttle Senior.
Speaker 2 We need Paul Tuttle Hulkster. Yeah, next week.
Speaker 112 Can you still grow the sides off you, like a classic horseshoe pattern?
Speaker 28 Yes, that's what I did.
Speaker 41 It was blonde, too.
Speaker 91 Yes.
Speaker 2 I mean, you could grow Amish as well.
Speaker 49 Just cut that fucking mustache off. Just look like a goat.
Speaker 2 Yeah.
Speaker 2 I could do that.
Speaker 28 How do you think about just here? Yeah.
Speaker 46 Chin strap.
Speaker 2 Definitely need the tuttle. How have we
Speaker 2 tuttle? You should do all these.
Speaker 13 Yeah, you should explore the space because it looks like it's pretty strong here, not so much here.
Speaker 115 You know, you were gifted on the face, not so much here.
Speaker 28
And also, your body, this guy's guy's got wool. He's like a sheep.
Yeah.
Speaker 75 You know, and what's that little song about the amount of wool on the sheep?
Speaker 62 Do you have the kids singing, I guess?
Speaker 28 This man had all of it. He had two balls or rolls of whatever the fuck it was.
Speaker 1 I do my best to shave that as often.
Speaker 14 You got lasered.
Speaker 2 Remember, you were getting lasered.
Speaker 1 Yeah, that didn't work either.
Speaker 2 This guy was going and worse.
Speaker 130 So painful. Where'd you get like your back lasered or what?
Speaker 49 Cubes, everything, man.
Speaker 2 Everything. Oh,
Speaker 130 what do they do with your dong? They just sit in your dong's right now.
Speaker 2 Well, see, it's great.
Speaker 1 You just sit there, you open it up, you cover up, and you just.
Speaker 2 Oh, hey, listen,
Speaker 1 you're not enjoying this as much as I am.
Speaker 2 No, but he's getting busy.
Speaker 84 He was doing this.
Speaker 8 It was like a long time. It was taking a long time to get it.
Speaker 2 Peter over your head?
Speaker 22 Jordan's whole body.
Speaker 2 Peter over your head. No way.
Speaker 130 Your feet aren't over your head, are they?
Speaker 116 Yeah, well, you got to get in there, I guess.
Speaker 4 We don't know what all he decided to do.
Speaker 130 What if he walked in, AQ's on a table in an exam room on all fours?
Speaker 2 Like a turkey? Like a turkey?
Speaker 130 Like he's got all fours and he's doing like cat and camel so they can get to get to his areas to deliver.
Speaker 57 Or he's laying flat with a hole in the table.
Speaker 2 Matani, with how hairy he is, I would say that is possible.
Speaker 57 That is like kind of feasible.
Speaker 21 All right, let's get the hell out of here.
Speaker 61 Let's have an incredible Thanksgiving.
Speaker 125 AJ, which two games are you going to pick?
Speaker 40 I'm picking the Bills minus three and a half and the Colts minus four and a half.
Speaker 130 Okay, I am taking the Jacksonville Jaguars minus six and a half at Tennessee, and then I will take the Kirk Cousins-led Atlanta Falcons minus two and a half against the Jets.
Speaker 69 Get me off of the Bills, the Steelers.
Speaker 43 I'll take the Niners minus four.
Speaker 82 I'll take the Browns plus four.
Speaker 13 Paul, get me back to the Bills minus three and a half.
Speaker 2 I'll stay on the Bills.
Speaker 47 All right, let's get out of here.
Speaker 36 You all are the greatest people on earth.
Speaker 54 We are so incredibly thankful.
Speaker 6 Be a friend, tell a friend something nice.
Speaker 54 It might change your life, especially at this Thanksgiving stuff.
Speaker 61 Let's remember that.
Speaker 85 You can disagree with people and still get along.
Speaker 67 That's what life's all about. Hell yeah.
Speaker 113 That's what ball is all about.
Speaker 6 And once again, you can go about your life doing your thing.
Speaker 15 Just don't be fucking Dookie, dude.
Speaker 2
Hell yeah. That's right.
Dookie.
Speaker 2 Dookie.
Speaker 8 Might have heard the bullies on that, actually.
Speaker 7 Little Dookie dropping the boys.
Speaker 28
You guys were in stew on microphone. Yeah, that is you guys.
That is you guys on the Dookie in the background there. So thank you for just such a good fucking delivery of Dookie.
Speaker 85 Yeah, I mean, you guys absolutely crushed it.
Speaker 77 AQ. Great show today, brother.
Speaker 4 Any wise words as we head out of here?
Speaker 1 Hey, let's just be thankful and have all the gratitude for everybody as you sit around the table tomorrow. I am extremely grateful and thankful of all you guys.
Speaker 127 Happy Thanksgiving, boys. And we love you, man.
Speaker 24 And good time to buy some gifts for some people.
Speaker 81 Get them a ticket to a live event.
Speaker 47 Our friends at SeatGeek right now, code Pat McAfee, P-A-T-M-C-A-F-E-E, get $30 off tickets to anything.
Speaker 1 Playoff football is right around the corner.
Speaker 8 You know, there's going to be shows coming up, obviously concerts, you name it.
Speaker 85 If there's anything with tickets involved, SeatGeek is the place to get them.
Speaker 51 Doesn't matter if you're a new or repeat purchaser, $30 off with code Pat McAfee.
Speaker 30 There are some restrictions apply.
Speaker 93 It's a great gift, though.
Speaker 54 Tickets are a great gift because you're not just giving them something that's fungible and tangible.
Speaker 14 You're giving them a story that they'll talk about for the rest of their life.
Speaker 100 You're giving them a memory.
Speaker 91 You're giving a moment.
Speaker 6 And that's where our friends at SeatGeek, the greatest ticket buying platform on planet Earth.
Speaker 2 And the boom.
Speaker 6
Be a friend, tell a friend, something nice. It might change your life.
We're going to stand together. Team on me.
Speaker 8 Team on three.
Speaker 28 Have the greatest Thanksgiving weekend of all time. I love you guys.
Speaker 2 Love you too. Love you too.
Speaker 2 AJ, fuck you.
Speaker 130
Love you guys as well. Oh, you guys, come on now.
You don't want me to. I'm dead.
I'm serious. Yeah, like I tell you all the time, these are the good old days.
You know that.
Speaker 130 These are the good old days.
Speaker 130 Enjoy it. We should enjoy it.
Speaker 67 Behind the glass, we love you guys.
Speaker 2 Oh, yeah.
Speaker 75 Graphic design boys, we love you guys.
Speaker 67 Oh, yeah.
Speaker 28 Zito Mit, we love you guys. Bill, we love you guys.
Speaker 2 Love everybody. Love everybody.
Speaker 28
Love you guys. EOE.
I have a ring on it. It says EOE.
That's what this is all about. Thank you for allowing us to do this.
Ann Arbor on Saturday. Let's enjoy it.
Speaker 28 Team on me, team on three.
Speaker 2 One, two, three.
Speaker 2 Come on.
