Speaker 1 Hello beautiful people and welcome to our humble abode, the Thunderdome.

Speaker 1 On this majestic overreaction Monday, March 3rd, 2025, this program starts now.

Speaker 1 Spores are magical and we're lucky that we get to talk about them every single day right here on ESPN, ESPN Plus, Disney Plus, YouTube, and TikTok Live.

Speaker 1 The second hour of today's show will not be on ESPN. We'll be bumped the ESPN too for spring training baseball, which ESPN is lucky to have.

Speaker 1 Let's go to the talks table at Boss Connor at Ty Schmidt. Did we know that spring training baseball is happening right now?

Speaker 2 I certainly did, but

Speaker 3 I did not think we would be getting bumped to the deuce for spring training baseball.

Speaker 1 Although, Red Sox Warriors. It's a big tilt.

Speaker 3 It's a big tilt. It's a massive tilt.

Speaker 3 There's a chance. I don't know who's going to play.
Usually a lot of these spring training games, you're getting about,

Speaker 3 I don't know, 10 to 15 guys who will not be on the big club in the summer.

Speaker 2 You know, these guys are kind of just getting their getting their juice out. Shout out to baseball, though.

Speaker 1 Baseball's back. Shout out to sports.

Speaker 1 Shout out to sports. Found that out about five minutes before we went live, and I was like, hey, it's all good.
We're excited.

Speaker 1 The sports are happening because the football season is done, but the football drama is only kicking off even more.

Speaker 1 Now, we're fresh out of a combine weekend, and we'll break down who had a big-time weekend here in Indianapolis and who maybe faltered a little bit.

Speaker 1 Well, however, who is potentially going to be moving up? up in draft stock and who's potentially going to be falling back to being an insurance salesman.

Speaker 1 We shall see in in the middle of this drama time. Now, there are some teams that potentially are going to make some cuts or some moves because of a salary cap adjustment.

Speaker 1 We're in the middle of a lot of action right now. Speaking of, we'll be talking to Sean McVay, head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, in about 13 minutes or so.

Speaker 1 Massive story out of last week is Matthew Stafford is back with the Los Angeles Rams. We'll ask him about how we got there.

Speaker 1 What was the conversation like with Matthew on Friday morning that led to him getting extended, getting more money, and coming back to the Rams who were just one play away from beating the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC divisional round then in the second hour we'll be joined by justin jefferson he's launching something that's incredibly cool called flight school where it'll be uh invitation to high school wide receivers to come do one-on-one workouts and uh basically like an elite 11 manning passing academy type thing for wide receivers we do not know all the ins and outs of it but he is obviously best wide receiver in the league but if he was to team up with his other other lsu guys just lsu guys

Speaker 1 You're talking about Jamar Chase, Malik Neighbors, let alone if Odell Beckham Jr. was to come back, everything else.

Speaker 1 Mason Taylor, Jason Taylor's son, who ran the perfect gauntlet at one point, straight down the line with it.

Speaker 1 If it's just an LSU thing or if it's just a Justin Jefferson thing, this is great for the future of football. We'll also talk to them about the situation currently happening in Minnesota.

Speaker 1 Who's going to be their quarterback? Speaking of quarterbacks, a lot has happened over the weekend. We'll chit-chat about it all.

Speaker 1 Now, at Boston Connor, sitting there next to Ty Schmidt, Combine weekend is a glory. glorious one.
What's your big takeaway from Indianapolis?

Speaker 2 My big takeaway is probably that, you know, the more we shit on these guys, the less they're going to do it. You know, we talk about how bad we want everyone to go throw, everyone to go compete.

Speaker 2 You know, basically, it was a big time, oh, Will Howard's the guy this weekend, it felt like people just sarcastically burying him.

Speaker 2 Hey, if we do this, we're going to continue to get a combine that's just watered down that no one does. And then when it gets to pro days, what are we going to say? Well, this was just a routine.

Speaker 2 They do this every single day. You can't really, you know, prove anything at a pro day, anyways.
Who cares? I think everyone just needs to take a deep breath.

Speaker 2 You know, you retweeted a post about Sean McVay, or not Sean McVay, excuse me, Sean Payton talking about Bo Nix and that kind of, I don't remember that from last year, but that was a really cool little insight about Sean Payton basically saying this about Bo Nicks from his combi day last year.

Speaker 2 And I believe he was talking to Peter Schrager.

Speaker 1 Did you know then that Bo Nix was the guy?

Speaker 5 We didn't at that time. I would say that decision

Speaker 5 probably was finalized or we felt real strong. Wasn't just the, we had a pro day on Friday and then Saturday we had a private workout.

Speaker 5 And I think that Saturday after this private workout, we felt like that was our target.

Speaker 5 Yeah, at this time, at this point in time, we didn't. And he really didn't throw well.

Speaker 1 Is that right? Yeah. Do you remember?

Speaker 5 Meaning, well, here are a couple things.

Speaker 1 I can recall.

Speaker 5 For years in our league, the footballs were never broken in. They come right out of the box.
That's a challenge for a college quarterback. I mean, they're slippery, they're not broken in.

Speaker 5 And then you get in here, the temperature maybe is a little cooler than you think. It's air-conditioned.
And so, learning all of those things, getting adjusted to that.

Speaker 5 Don Yees, obviously, an agent that I've worked with throughout my career, and he had this young quarterback, Tom Brady, and he asked me, can you call Tom and just tell him what to expect at the combine?

Speaker 5 And this was like a favor.

Speaker 5 And yeah, there was no, the prep that they have now is is so much different than just 20 years ago and the understanding of what's to be expected how to handle the interviews how to handle the medical part of it how to handle these drills I've seen players that have bad ball skills that are outstanding through the gauntlet and and they've just worked on it so much so

Speaker 5 Again, it comes back to the medical information that's most important and then the interview.

Speaker 1 All right. Congrats.
Another playoff season, and we'll see what happens next year. Appreciate you coming down here on the field.
It's nice to be down here and see some live action, right? Absolutely.

Speaker 5 Yeah,

Speaker 5 the suites are fine, but

Speaker 5 back in the old Hoosier Dome, this is where you went out the exit and it was inflated. So you had static, your hair was kind of static cling and everything.
That was a good setup. That's it.

Speaker 1 All right, Sean Payton. Great breakdown of the combine as a whole, but I think what you're saying is nothing that we know now is necessarily what's going to be the case whenever it comes draft time.

Speaker 1 A lot of meetings, a lot of still road to the draft is what you're referring to, Conman.

Speaker 2 Yeah, exactly. Plenty still to be proven, and there's nothing better than a Pete Schrager laugh at the combine.

Speaker 1 Long Shrag. It was good to see Shrager.

Speaker 2 Yeah, great to see Schrager. He is,

Speaker 1 man.

Speaker 1 Eat Pete Shrager. Did you see him? Oh, yeah, there's a chance.
He looks great. He does.
Yeah. And he's over in L.A.

Speaker 2 a little bit more now. So I think there's always a chance, but he's still bringing it, as always.

Speaker 1 He is. But Sean Payton talking about how Bo Nicks wasn't even really their guy.
And then obviously they have meetings that they get rolling. He becomes that.

Speaker 1 That's a big piece whenever we're judging these guys fresh out of the combine. And yes, I'm talking about Will Howard.
Okay. I'm at Elimination Chamber.
What an event. What an event.
What an event.

Speaker 1 We will certainly talk about it. Why, John?

Speaker 1 Why, John? Why? Because John's looking to become the all-time leader in world championships in the history of the WWE. You know, and the final boss always has a plan.

Speaker 1 I don't want to dive into it too much right now. We will certainly talk about it at some point.
Great kick to the dick of Cody Rose.

Speaker 1 I mean, just perfect form, knee drive straight into the X, boom, right into Cody.

Speaker 1 And then Travis Scott really bought one down he did with some sage in hand smack in the face and then a final boss given the kill sign certainly interesting with the two up there you know with the I mean there's a lot to be said about elimination chamber also to Canada I would like to let yeah I mean oh no

Speaker 1 you saw a soul get sold right there no John no no John sound sound sound sound No sound. Okay, miss it.
The pop of that place, whenever he kicks him square in the balls, is absurd.

Speaker 1 Because I think a lot of people, you know, maybe missed the face that John Cena gave to the rock because it was on a jumbotron over here. So not everybody in the

Speaker 1 Rogers Center kind of knew what was taking place. Everybody at home kind of maybe knew a little bit more.
In the place, I think some people saw it. You see a guy in the back.

Speaker 1 He sees the video because there's a Jumbotron. You see him go, no, no, no.
And then whenever John kicks him, I think it was a massive surprise at the moment in the arena, obviously.

Speaker 1 Massive surprise to the world and something that none of us could have ever expected with John Cena. You know, John Cena has made a living on hustle, loyalty, and respect.

Speaker 1 He has given out the most make-a-wishes in the history of make-a-wish. Now, everybody's saying this guy's breaking wishes.
He's break-a-wish.

Speaker 1 And he kicks Cody Rhodes, the American nightmare, after he tells The Rock to go fuck himself right in the balls and solidifies himself as a bad guy.

Speaker 1 going into wrestle mania after winning the elimination chamber which he said he was going to do at the royal rumble and he even said it was best for business which all all these clues were there that this was going to happen.

Speaker 1 And we're just sitting along for the ride. I had no clue what was going to happen.
Obviously, they would never tell me anything. I'm the lowest member of the totem pole.

Speaker 1 I don't think anybody really had a clue what was about to happen. And nobody could have expected, which is why it was such a magical ending to Elimination Chamber.

Speaker 1 And now Cody Rhodes got punched in the face with his own Rolex. Boom! That's tough.

Speaker 1 It's tough for that to happen. 40,000 right to the face from John Cena.
And how long has John Cena been waiting to do this? Oh, man. Let out out a little bit of aggression, you know?

Speaker 1 Because there was a time where Cena's super good guy. He comes out and they go, let's go, Cena.
And then the other half of the place would go, Cena sucks. He's like, I'm here every night.

Speaker 1 I literally commit my entire life to this thing. 20 years I show up taking bumps, beating up my body, saying no to everything else.
And some of the WWE universe would boo him and say that he sucked.

Speaker 1 Now he gets a chance to kind of take out all that anger and frustration. And we watched it.

Speaker 1 He bumped Cody in the head multiple times with a title that he's going to try to win for the 17th time at WrestleMania. The final boss couldn't have been more confident.

Speaker 1 And Travis Scott just living his dream over there.

Speaker 1 Travis Scott's like, welcome to the crew, you know, to John Cena. What a moment.
I was lucky to be there. Now, Canada, listen, there's been some things said to me from Canadians that

Speaker 1 I guess I respect because of the passion that you have for your country, which I hope you understand that I was showing the same for mine. You booed my country.

Speaker 1 Now, I heard from a lot of Canadians during the national anthem, obviously, the Rogers Rogers Center, overwhelming boo. I mean, very loud boo.

Speaker 1 First reaction whenever a national anthem starts up there was for some of these Canadians just to start booing. And I'm like, what?

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 My entire life, my first reaction when somebody booze a national anthem is, fuck you.

Speaker 1 That is my, I'm very thankful. that I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States of America.
I'm very proud that I am from the United States of America. And is everything perfect?

Speaker 1 Absolutely not. But my dad went from being a truck driver to a millionaire because he taught his son a work ethic and that anything is possible on this land here in the United States.

Speaker 1 Now, I know that we're not the only country that has that happen, but in my life, that is the case. I've also moved out here to Indiana and got a chance to meet a lot of military members.

Speaker 1 I've been to a lot of bases. I know gold star families.
I know people that have been affected for fighting for our country that really see the national anthem as like our, hey, this is our shit.

Speaker 1 So anytime I've ever heard somebody boo our national anthem, my natural reaction is, let's fight. That is literally my natural reaction.

Speaker 1 Now, a lot of Canadians have told me, why don't you do a little investigating on why we're booing? Okay. Did you hear what your president said? Okay, listen.

Speaker 1 I understand there's political differences at the current moment between us and Canada. But I feel like anytime I think of Canada, I don't think of what Justin Trudeau does.

Speaker 1 I don't think immediately of Justin Trudeau's decisions. I don't think immediately of what Canada is doing in the political sphere.
I think of the people of Canada. I think of Gumpy.
I think of Putin.

Speaker 1 I think of the magical times that I had up in Niagara Falls as a teenager at the wild mushroom, the old casino, the new casino.

Speaker 1 Let's not even talk about the adult ballets that maybe introduced me to a lot of things in life.

Speaker 1 I think about loonies in tunies in good times, in Mounties allowing teenagers puke in their streets because maybe we're a little bit overserved. That's what I think of when I think of Canada.

Speaker 1 I don't think of Justin Trudeau. Okay, so I understand now from the Canadians that they have a lot more passion for their country than I could have ever imagined.

Speaker 1 A lot of terrible things have been said about me, and I understand it. You boo my country.
I called your country terrible. Let's shake hands.
Okay.

Speaker 1 You said you didn't boo every member of the United States or every citizen of the United States of America. Well, I didn't say the Canadians were terrible.
I said your country was. So you booed us.

Speaker 1 I said you're terrible. Let's shake hands.
Let's move along. There you go.

Speaker 1 That's what I would like to say. And I still love Canadians.
Okay. We got one in the building.

Speaker 1 Literally. Hired right off.
of a ship painting job in the northwest Canada. Brought him in.

Speaker 1 His diction, his accent, the words he says, the way he says things, I think exemplifies what Canadians are as a whole, his attitude, his peace, everything like that.

Speaker 1 So I don't, I love Canadians, but my first reaction whenever you boo our country is, well, okay, let's fight. You know, I'm sorry.
So let's go shake their hands. Canada.

Speaker 1 Boom. I hope it gets settled.

Speaker 1 Now, I will do a lot more research into the political preferences of every country that is in part of a sporting event where there's going to be a national anthem, because if that's what we're booing people for, we're booing anthems for, I didn't know that was the precedent going forward, but okay, we all understand that now.

Speaker 1 With that being said, what an event in the Rogers Center. Oh, man.
What an event. What a night.
Both elimination chambers, Jade doing her thing. I mean, it was a magical night up there.

Speaker 1 And it ended with that staring us down.

Speaker 1 Now, Travis Scott is right over the shoulder there, which a lot of people were wondering about, but I thought he looked hilarious in there, burning us in the entirety.

Speaker 1 But it was a magical night up there. And I was lucky to be there, lucky to be a part of it.
I love anytime I get a chance to work for the WWE.

Speaker 1 With that being said, I look down at my phone and I get a text in the group text while I'm in the middle of this. And it's from Bailey McComas.

Speaker 1 And it's a clip from the NFL saying, Will Howard's having a day. So I look down and I'm so pumped.
I'm like, let's go, Will. Let's go, Will.
Retweet that thing, send that thing out.

Speaker 1 I'm like, and I watched the first couple of highlights. I'm like, that's good ball.

Speaker 1 That's good timing. That's great timing.
And this is what the NFL posted. That's good ball leading the guy.

Speaker 1 Now, granted, a little bit of an overthrow, but if that guy's a little bit faster, maybe not an overthrow, maybe if he runs a different round, not an overthrow, drops it in a bucket right there.

Speaker 1 How could you ask for anything better? Ball is coming out of his hand pretty well. How much strength does he have? Well, he throws a deep ball to a guy.
That's on a line.

Speaker 1 I'm like watching these clips. I'm like, holy shit, Will Howard had a damn day.

Speaker 1 Turns out they really cherry-picked these. These

Speaker 1 had a terrible day out there. And I'm still a believer, but that's why that Sean Payton video is so important.

Speaker 1 We have no idea what's going to take place going forward, but we are appreciative to everybody that worked out, everybody that did their thing. On that note, one half of the hammer,

Speaker 1 Cowboys, AP Tone, and back with us, ladies and gentlemen, nine-year NFL vet Darius J. Butler here.
Good to see everybody. Debuts, great to see you.
Glad to be back. You look so cool.

Speaker 1 Very thankful you are back.

Speaker 1 Tone, D.Butch, who are some of the guys that we need to think about over the weekend for the combine who had a good one, as opposed to, you know, the ones that people are talking about saying, these guys might be selling...

Speaker 1 Maybe jeans at Hollister coming forward. Yeah, let's go back to Thursday where it all started with the D-line and the linebackers.
It started with Landon Jackson, who was 6'6 ⁇ , 270.

Speaker 1 He jumped 40 and a half inches and ran a 4'6 was just insane. James Pierce later that day, the edge out of Tennessee, he ran a 4-4-7 at 245.
Move. He's going to lock in as a first-rounder.

Speaker 1 And the winner of that day on Thursday was Texas A and MD lineman Shamar Stewart, who basically had the exact same numbers as Miles Garrett working out at the combine, a 40-inch vert with 6'5-270, 10-11 on the Broad and ran a 4-6-40 debut.

Speaker 4 Yeah, absolute freak show.

Speaker 4 Now, the question here you guys talked about on the show last week, you know, production, production questions about how do you only have four and a half sacks in three years in college.

Speaker 4 But even with that being said, he'll still be a top 10, top 15 pick. When you put on a show like that, you have those measurables, you have that freak show of a show at the combine.

Speaker 4 You will go top 10, top 15 because these coaches, these GMs will take a chance on you.

Speaker 1 Yeah, let's go to Friday when it was the tight ends and DBs. Pat mentioned Mason Taylor, who was awesome.

Speaker 1 Also, tight end Terrence Ferguson. We talked about him on Friday out of Oregon.
He tested. He was the number one tight end in all testing.
He dominated.

Speaker 1 And then Nick Eamon Warrior, the safety out of South Carolina, just an absolute freak. He was 6'3, 220 with a 43-inch vert.
It ran a 4-3-8. He was absolutely moving.

Speaker 1 The fastest DB of the day, who we actually talked about on Friday as well, was Maxwell Harrison out of Kentucky. He ran a 4-2-8 with a 39.5-inch vert.

Speaker 1 And then the for sure first-rounder out of Texas, Jod A. Baron, he ran a 4-3.
3-9, which was a great time for him.

Speaker 4 Yeah, we saw him play against Ohio State during this run. And great, great corner, big corner.

Speaker 4 Can play inside, can play outside, play slot, play safety, and play the outside corner last year where he won the Jim Thorpe Award. Obviously, that's awarded to the best DB in the nation.

Speaker 4 So I think this guy will be a top, you know, probably 12, 15 pick. I can see him at the Saints.

Speaker 4 I can see him at the 49ers, a big physical corner that can cover and that can show up in the run game and tackle. He showed he wasn't scared all year long, physical, physical player.

Speaker 4 And I didn't expect him to be that explosive or test that well here in Indy, but he did. So he made himself a lot of money.

Speaker 1 Yeah, let's go to uh Saturday, which I believe is the most exciting day of the combine. It is the quarterbacks, the running backs, and the wide receivers.
Let's start with the wide receivers.

Speaker 1 Missouri wide receiver Luther Burton had a really nice day. A lot of people thought he ran faster than he would at 4-4.

Speaker 1 Both Iowa State wide receivers, Jalen Noelle and Jayton Higgins, they both had a really nice day.

Speaker 1 Dante Thornton, the wide receiver out of Tennessee, he is 6'5-205, and he ran a 4-3 flat, which is just absurd at that size.

Speaker 1 But the day that the guy that probably made the most money on the day was Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden, who ran a 4-2-9 official solidified in his first round.

Speaker 4 Debucks. Yeah, made himself a lot of money.
Now, he could do everything. He could run routes from the inside.
He could run routes on the outside. He ended up being Texas' number one wide receiver.

Speaker 4 Bond went down, transferred from Houston, went to Texas, played his ass off. But once again, another guy did not expect to go sub 4-3.
I know his teammates said he was going to break.

Speaker 4 That was tough.

Speaker 1 That was tough.

Speaker 1 It's bad.

Speaker 4 You can't talk that shit. And he didn't run a bad time.
He ran a good time when you come out and say that. But with that being said, Golden, golden special, special receiver.

Speaker 4 He'll be probably a wide receiver two or three off the board.

Speaker 1 Let's go to the running backs who a lot of people say is one of the deepest positions of the draft. They proved it on Saturday.

Speaker 1 Daniel Jeremiah said literally every single running back who ran and worked out performed well. Like there was no one who worked out bad.
But some of the highlights.

Speaker 1 Beyshell Tuton, 5'9-206 out of Virginia Tech. He ran a 4-3-2 with a 40 and a half inch vert.
He was the fastest running back on Saturday, which was awesome.

Speaker 1 With David Spade on the call, with Richard, Daniel, Jeremiah, who had a fantastic weekend, by the way. Great work, boys.
Yeah, David Spade looks super cool in those sunglasses.

Speaker 1 And thanks for coming to town. David Spade did a fundraiser for a local organization here, I think, for free.
So we appreciate the hell out of it. Thank you, David.

Speaker 1 A lot of people thought Trayvion Henderson was going to test really well. He did.
Okay, but a lot of Quinshawn Jutkins out of Ohio State, he was 6'220. He looked good.

Speaker 1 He ran a 4-4-8 in the 40, which I think surprised a lot of people, him being that fast at that big.

Speaker 1 and then the exact same height and weight six foot 221 out of unc amarion hampton who's a lot of people's number two running back uh behind ashton genti he also ran a 446 so those big boys were moving yeah you mentioned number two running back i've been hearing some wow

Speaker 4 okay saying he could possibly be uh the first running back off the board which would be crazy with the season that aston genti had boise estate been heisman runner-up this guy is freaky talented his numbers a freaky athlete as well.

Speaker 4 Back-to-back years of 15, rushing touchdowns on the ground.

Speaker 4 I mean, just a special, special talent coming out of UNC. So, yes, it was surprising to me to hear that he's the top running back on a lot of offenses board.

Speaker 4 Probably has something to do with his pass protection and being able to catch the ball out of the backfield. So, he's a full three-down running back.
That should be another first round.

Speaker 1 Yeah, overall, it was a great combine. Some of those were, those were just some of the guys that stood out.
We'll talk about some of the quarterbacks later. So, those are

Speaker 1 spun it. He did.
That's everybody's saying. Same with Jackson Dart.

Speaker 1 Had a great one. Kid from Louisville struggled a little bit.
Will didn't have his best day.

Speaker 1 I assume the meetings were fantastic, but there was a couple quarterbacks who actually chose to throw who had big-time days.

Speaker 1 We cannot bury every quarterback that has a bad day out here, though, because none of them will throw.

Speaker 1 That is just a matter of effect. So congrats to these boys.
Joining us now is a man whose opinion matters a lot more than ours.

Speaker 1 He's a Super Bowl champion head coach, Ohio guy, former Mac wide receiver. Greatest hair that a head coach has ever had.
Ladies and gentlemen, from the Los Angeles Rams, Sean McVay.

Speaker 6 It's about time you guys had me on, man. You have all my guys on.
I'm sensitive. This is the first time I've been invited on here with you guys.

Speaker 1 Hey, shout out to Artis. Okay, he and I had a great conversation.
Shout out to Artists. Shout out to Artists making this happen.

Speaker 1 And also, thank you for making time for us, especially in the middle of a very busy time, I assume, for you. Let's talk about what we just went through with the combine.

Speaker 1 You were one of the first coaches after you guys won the Super Bowl that said, you know what, with the way technology is, I'm going to stay back.

Speaker 6 I'm actually not going to go to Indianapolis, but our scouting personnel and everything else like that would travel out there what is the combine to you and what should we take away from everything that we just kind of rattled off right there for you in your mind sean yeah no it's all a valuable part of the evaluation but i think you know the trust that we have in our scouting staff to be able to vet these guys to be able to use this as a piece for our evaluation we're a little bit behind the curve with coaches so the most important thing is let's evaluate the tape let's find out how these guys are wired from a mental perspective and so we can just get more done staying back And it's a product of the trust that we have in our group to be able to continue to vet, continue to learn about them.

Speaker 6 And so it's a valuable piece, but the tape is the most important evaluation for us.

Speaker 1 When you get a chance to chat with these guys, what's the number? Obviously, tape has to match and be good to qualify them to be somebody that could be a Los Angeles Ram.

Speaker 1 But when you talk to them, what is the type of player that you're looking for to be a part of your culture?

Speaker 6 Yeah, as you would say, we're looking for dogs. I mean, we want guys that are wired the right way.

Speaker 6 I think the biggest thing is, hey, how do you measure some of these intangibles by learning about them from their background by seeing all right hey when you've had adversity how did you respond from it what does that really look like are you wired the right way to be resilient to have tangible examples of being able to bounce back use setbacks as set up for comebacks and i think you've seen that reflected the last couple years with some of these guys that we've drafted you look at jared verse and braiden fist they epitomize exactly what we're looking for kobe turner byron young uh puka nakua you know these are the kind of guys that that are our kinds of guys that are mentally and physically tough and they love to compete and they're not afraid to continue to just swing even if shit's not going our way.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I love it to hear that. I think that's a necessity in football.
I think you got to be tough both physically and mentally.

Speaker 1 You rattled off a bunch of guys that we're massive fans of in such a quick amount of time in the NFL.

Speaker 1 With the way you guys built this roster, and we'll talk about Matthew Stafford here in a few moments, but with the way you guys did make that big play to bring in Matthew and kind of go all in, the Aaron Donald area, you guys won a Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 On the other side of that, you have to hit on young talent.

Speaker 1 Les Sneed has to be able to get in young guys that are cheaper, you know, even though they're making a lot of money and they're professional football players.

Speaker 1 But whenever you talk about a salary cap, you have to be able to hit on those young guys. Why do you think Les has been so good in doing that?

Speaker 1 And also, how good does it feel that you guys are one play away? Now, granted, Jalen Carter just said you guys aren't doing anything.

Speaker 1 And we'll talk about that at the end of the division around with the Eagles. That way you guys, I mean, Puka makes that catch.
Holy shit.

Speaker 1 The Rams just gave up that touchdown from Saquon where he's punching his head in the snow and they're still almost coming back and winning this. And I know almost sucks and everything like that.

Speaker 1 But with how young your team was, almost in a transition era to have that much success, how good does it feel to be where you are right now?

Speaker 1 And then obviously getting Matthew back, how great of a move is that in your mind so you can sleep at night?

Speaker 6 Oh,

Speaker 6 it's huge. And that was always the end goal in mind, Pat.

Speaker 6 I think when you talk about what you're asking about with less, you know, going into year nine now together, I think there's a real rapport that we have in terms of what are the kind of guys we're looking for, being able to identify, having flexibility in regards to what does that roster build look like.

Speaker 6 You talk about after the Super Bowl, I think in a lot of instances, we were kind of forced just based on the parameters, like, hey, these guys got to play.

Speaker 6 And it taught us as coaches, hey, let's be patient. Let's challenge these guys.
But I think you start to see things in guys that maybe they didn't even see in themselves.

Speaker 6 And then that confidence can compound with good experiences. We're getting better.
and better. I think we're able to learn from our mistakes and keep stacking good decisions.
But,

Speaker 6 you know, that game was a was a battle back and forth. I think we all felt like we were winning that game 29, 28.

Speaker 6 Ultimately, they got it done and they looked pretty damn good in the NFC championship in the Super Bowl and that really chapped my ass too. Yeah,

Speaker 1 I could see how, yeah, the Philadelphia Eagles just became an absolute wagon. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 Just beating the hell out of everybody except for the Los Angeles Rams, which is what the conversation was whenever we were hearing that Matthew Stafford was able to kind of go and listen to what the rest of the NFL was saying, both financially and what situations were available.

Speaker 1 Everybody was attacking it from different angles, obviously, because it's Matthew Stafford and it's the Los Angeles Rams. But a lot of it was, what is going to be a better opportunity to win?

Speaker 1 And it feels like you guys are set up to win right now. Is that what you're telling Matthew Stafford when you meet with him on Friday?

Speaker 1 Or how does that conversation go inevitably for him to end up staying and extending as opposed to going elsewhere?

Speaker 6 Yeah, I think we always felt like that was the end goal, Pat.

Speaker 6 And really what it boiled down to was there were some mistakes where I had some growing up to do some things I could have handled better in the midst of going back a few years when we traded for Matthew and sent Jared to the Lions.

Speaker 6 And so it was about communication. Let's be clear, open, and honest.
Let's have the dialogue. Let's understand the end goal in mind is always to get you back here.

Speaker 6 And so that's really what that entailed. I think there was a lot of narratives out there.
And because of the caliber of player he is, there was a lot of stories.

Speaker 6 But I don't think either Matthew or myself ever really felt like this was a direction we weren't going to go. And sometimes when you really care about people, you can have real conversations.

Speaker 6 And I think it's going to be even better moving forward.

Speaker 6 And when you see what ends up coming of it you're going to really see man this is a selfless decision on his part and this is really good for the Rams for how we move forward and keep building around him with him being able to play you know his best in the most important moments and I sure don't take that for granted I assume you just alluded to what the contract is actually going to be whenever it is announced because it was reported I think by Rapaport after he got his ass beat in a Starbucks but did not call

Speaker 1 but he did not call NFL security and there was no physical altercation but I think he reported about the amount amount of money that he turned down elsewhere to stay with the Rams.

Speaker 1 And we all just kind of joked about how bad moving sucks and like, what is the tax to even pick up your family and move somewhere else?

Speaker 1 But also, if he sets up his contract right, he can continue to build with this Rams team. I think that's what you were alluding to there.
Am I taking that out of pocket or no?

Speaker 6 Yeah, no, no, you're exactly right, Pat. And that's the thing.
I think, you know, you want guys to feel great about where we're going and choose.

Speaker 6 And do these four years of equity that we built up mean something and then that was demonstrated by the actions I always tell our guys I see better than I hear and I saw him and his family make a choice to stay with us and and that sure means a lot to me and we're a lot better football team because of it that's a great line Hey, I'll see what the fuck you do more than I hear what you say you're going to do.

Speaker 1 I love everything.

Speaker 6 I knew you'd like that.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's good bar right there. I assume you got a lot of them, a lot of success very quickly.
You got to have a great brain. On that note, D-Bud has a question for you, Coach.

Speaker 4 Yes, sir. So we talked about, you know, you've been an Ohio guy.
I know you played your high school football down in Georgia where a lot of people know the story.

Speaker 4 You beat out Calvin Johnson to be the player of the year in Georgia.

Speaker 1 Then you go on. Oh, yeah.
You go on to be a coach.

Speaker 1 That's absurd.

Speaker 4 And that is crazy. You're the top player in Georgia, beating out Calvin Johnson.
Unguardable.

Speaker 1 That's not a white guy. I mean, dual threat quarterback.

Speaker 4 He was the first of the exciting whites. But with that being said, when did you know you were going to be coaching possibly in your future?

Speaker 4 What coaches had the biggest impact on your career coming up?

Speaker 6 Yeah, I mean, I've been really fortunate, Debut, in terms of just being around guys that were willing to invest in me my grandfather was a huge influence on me my dad's one of the best leaders i've ever seen you know the one thing i will say about the calvin johnson thing i think my dad was the head of the voting committee

Speaker 6 that's that's it's a little nepotism award we love that we love that hey don't let the truth get in the way of a good story though right so it's uh i will say this though you know being able to get into the business as early as i did you know my grandfather the grudin family being able to work for mike and kyle shanahan Shanahan.

Speaker 6 I've just been so fortunate to be around people that said, Hey, let me put my arm around you, let me teach you, and then you see what it looks like to do it the right way.

Speaker 6 And that's been a huge thing that I don't take for granted. I realize how blessed I am.
And really, it's all about it goes back to my grandfather and the legacy he set for our family.

Speaker 1 Yeah, football family, football guy. And we got some football highlights of you.
Calvin Johnson had no chance. You see what this guy's doing? You see what these knees are doing?

Speaker 1 Look,

Speaker 1 terrible.

Speaker 1 Terrible. Yeah, right.

Speaker 6 Hey, look at the DBs chasing me, man. I mean,

Speaker 6 this is not the same level of competition that Calvin had.

Speaker 1 That's a strike. I don't know.
Look at that. That was at Texas, Texas.
That wasn't your best throw. Look at the form.
Look at the form, hot ball. Good drop.

Speaker 6 Hey,

Speaker 6 this is...

Speaker 6 I got some better ones than these, though, man. You got to get some real ones.

Speaker 1 I'll tell you, we did not create this. We certainly found it.
That was a dime. Listen, stop selling yourself.

Speaker 1 Short, your dad's, your dad said, listen, my vote might be worth two, but the boy boy had a good year.

Speaker 1 The boy had a look at the nigga drive.

Speaker 1 Let's have a little bit more perspective. Sean, dog.

Speaker 6 Any sudden movement right now, I'm pulling my hamstring for sure.

Speaker 1 Do you still run routes and stuff in practice? I remember that story coming up. I've been out there.

Speaker 6 Oh, yeah. I've been working out with Whitworth at his gym, trying to, I haven't worked out like this in a minute, but I'm trying to stay like you guys over there.

Speaker 1 Well, I'm taking science. You should do the same thing.
Ty has a question about coaching and those who coach with you.

Speaker 3 Yeah, coach, I'm sure you've heard the adage now where it's like someone gets hired and it's, hey, they had a cup of coffee with Sean McVay.

Speaker 3 That's the reason, you know, that they're getting a head coaching job. You've had a bunch of assistants get head coaching jobs elsewhere.
Obviously, one just happened this year as well.

Speaker 3 At what point did you recognize like, hey, I better not get too comfortable with my assistants because they're going to be looked at in a pretty solid light from what they've done here and they're going to get out of here and get opportunities elsewhere.

Speaker 3 And how difficult?

Speaker 6 Yeah, it is difficult, but I will say this: when you're in the right headspace, it's the best thing that ever happens because all these guys, whether it's the Kevin O'Connells, Raheem Morris, you look at Liam Cohen, end up getting a job, Matt LaFleur, Zach Taylor, you know, these guys have been instrumental in our success.

Speaker 6 They've poured into me, into our group. And I think when you really look at it, what it does is it attracts high-caliber people.
I'm able to always learn from the guys that come through here.

Speaker 6 Does it make it challenging that basically everybody's been here in some form or fashion? They're sprinkled around the league. It does, but it's also the most rewarding thing.

Speaker 6 And, you know, you can see that the culture is translatable to what's authentic to these guys. There's an urgency.
There's an enjoyment with how we go about this stuff.

Speaker 6 And I'm so proud of those guys and just proud to be a small part of their journey, but it is a pretty cool thing.

Speaker 1 How old are you now?

Speaker 6 39.

Speaker 1 You're an old grizzled vet now. I know.

Speaker 6 I'm going into year nine. Now, I'll tell you what, this coaching shit is like dog years.
I mean, sometimes I feel like I'm 80 years old.

Speaker 6 and you know, there's certain times where I say, hey, let me just come on as a guest and kick it with you. But I love this stuff.
I mean, it's the best. It really is.

Speaker 6 And I think having a little boy has given me a perspective that has really changed the way you go about it, the appreciation and the purpose and the perspective that's necessary.

Speaker 6 And that's a pretty cool thing, Pat.

Speaker 1 Becoming a father is amazing. I have about to be a two-year-old baby girl and a toddler, I guess.
Now, I don't know all the titles.

Speaker 1 You fucking get it, but she's about 21 months old, gonna become a two-year-old. Didn't know if I ever really wanted to have a child.

Speaker 1 You know, I thought I was a little bit too selfish probably to have a kid. My life, a little bit too busy.
And I meet my wife. My wife would be the perfect mom.
We decide to go about it.

Speaker 1 We have this baby girl. She's the greatest.
I assume you feel the executive. It is.

Speaker 1 I don't know how. I'm not listening to you say it.

Speaker 6 No, you're right. It gives you real purpose.
I mean, I'm embarrassed to say because you're so involved in your career, you're a little bit more selfish. And it's about you.

Speaker 6 And man, it gives you a perspective.

Speaker 6 And I'll tell you what, like it makes me love my wife that much more watching with the way that she is with him and you know it's a reason to say hey what does it look like how you treat a woman you know for him to see as a young man growing up and um it's the best he doesn't care when i come home if i've had some shitty play calls or not he just sees dad and he's smiling and i said you know what it's going to be all right isn't it do you ever have any of those shitty play it feels like you always i mean you're not

Speaker 1 okay so you're nine years into this 39 obviously we all remember the super bowl against the patriots and that's like talked about like Sean is beatable.

Speaker 1 But all these guys that get hired are because they think that they're going to be able to bring your offense over or your ability to move the rock over. And we're in an offensive heavy league.

Speaker 1 Now, I will say you changed the entire league by far. quickly, not only with the influence, but the offense and what everybody is doing.

Speaker 1 But is there a time where you think like you're getting beat by people, you're getting outsmarted by people?

Speaker 1 And how much is the game changing currently to a more power football as opposed to more wide open football?

Speaker 6 Shoot, I mean, it's amazing.

Speaker 6 When you look at when we got here in 17 to what it is now, and you just talk about the influence of the run game, the defense really making an emphasis on putting a roof over the coverage and trying to be able to stop some of these ways that you can get over the top vertically.

Speaker 6 And then you look at the evolution of offenses and the shift of personnels and how you run it. And what does it look like now? It all goes in circles, but I think the best adjust and adapt.

Speaker 6 Like one of the biggest things I'd say, you know, obviously it's things to lose to Philly, but I got a ton of respect for Vic Fangio.

Speaker 6 2018, they were the best defense when he's running the Bears defense. 2022 or 2024, this past year, he's running the Eagles defense.

Speaker 6 You see foundational principles that are in alignment with what he's always been, but it was illustrated in a different manner. That to me is greatness from a coaching perspective.

Speaker 6 Adjusting and adapting, that's what we try to do. What we were in 17 to what we are going to be this year is going to be a lot different.

Speaker 6 And if you don't adjust and adapt, you're going to get exposed. And you alluded to that Super Bowl.
That was a humbling night. You go from boy wonder to boy blunder in a matter of 60 minutes.

Speaker 1 There's another bar there. I assume you've used that before, boy, wonder to boy blunder.
It was great to see you on that big stage.

Speaker 1 And we did wonder, I think, like, is he ever going to get back, or is now the blueprint out on how you stop Sean McVay? Is the blueprint out? And instead, what do you do?

Speaker 1 You get back, win another Super Bowl, continue to evolve, continue to build. That's awesome.
You talked about Vic Fangio. They said his career was over whenever he was down in Miami.

Speaker 1 That Philadelphia Eagles defense is going to look different next year. They have officially released Darius Slay from the Philadelphia Eagles, which will save them $4.3 million

Speaker 1 against the cap. Okay, so that's the first cut here as we're in the salary cap gymnastics season here.
This happened while we were talking to Sean.

Speaker 1 Not going to put Sean on the spot here to make him make a decision on whether or not Darius Slay would be a good member of the Rams or your thoughts of him as a player, but that just happened.

Speaker 1 Feel like people should know. Let's move along.
Connor has a question for you, Coach. Yeah, Coach, I'm a Patriots fan, so Thank you for laying that egg.

Speaker 2 I was at that camera.

Speaker 1 It was awesome. It was a great win.

Speaker 6 Oh, thanks, Connor.

Speaker 1 I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 No problem.

Speaker 2 No problem. You got one after, so who cares? But when it comes to, you know, working with Les Need, how does that relationship go?

Speaker 2 You know, I mean, it's a bad example, but when a player does get released or someone's available for trade, is that something where you'll text him and let him know?

Speaker 2 And then when it comes to the draft, you went from kind of fuck them picks with Les Need to now it seems like every year you guys are getting an all-pro, verse, puka, kind of the list goes on.

Speaker 2 But how's that relationship work? And then who picks the really cool house that you guys go to for the draft? Because every year that thing is awesome.

Speaker 6 Yeah, no, it's definitely cool. I would say that's Kevin Demoff and Tony Pastor is deciding on where we end up spending those drafts.
But it's been great.

Speaker 6 I think the best thing I can say about it, Connor, is you just look at the adaptability. And we've always seen the game through the same lens.

Speaker 6 I remember when I was interviewing for the job, we had an immediate rapport. He works at it.
He's not afraid to talk about his evaluations.

Speaker 6 He's not afraid to acknowledge his mistakes to own in terms of what does it look like to build a team, not just collect talent.

Speaker 6 And I think you've seen that, you know, over the years, you know, evolve and adapt.

Speaker 6 You know, we were kind of forced to do that, like I was talking about earlier after the 21 season, but it's been great. He's a stud.
I really appreciate the way he works at it.

Speaker 6 And I think we both have such a strong relationship that there's comfort in some of those conflict conversations, but we always come to a compromise.

Speaker 6 And then whenever we make decisions, it's us collectively moving forward. And I'm grateful for him.
There's nobody else else I'd rather be leading alongside.

Speaker 1 What you say? Nine years together?

Speaker 6 Yeah, this is year nine.

Speaker 1 That's awesome. It's crazy.
The Rams draft house. Isn't that the one of the thing you guys are hanging out?

Speaker 6 I think we're going to do something cool with the fire department this year, which will even be cooler, you know, just based on everything that's going on.

Speaker 6 So I don't know if I let the cat out of the bag.

Speaker 1 Hey, screw it. Hey, I appreciate that you guys are doing it.
It feels like everybody from LA is stepping up for the community, which is a beautiful thing to watch. Let's talk about that.

Speaker 1 As that's all taking place, it's happening like tail end end of the season there. What is the mindset of how do you reach out to the families that are affected?

Speaker 1 Like, how has the Rams kind of handled all the fires and the devastation? I mean, just absolutely

Speaker 6 devastation. They don't even feel like it's real life, Pat.
And in a lot of instances, where it started was far enough in proximity that it didn't really affect too many people.

Speaker 6 But then once they start trickling over, and I can remember we're having basically our Wednesday practice leading into the Vikings playoff game, and you see this smoke in the distance.

Speaker 6 And this is an area where a lot of players and coaches live. And you're thinking, wow, now this feels really real.

Speaker 6 And it felt real, but when it's physically in proximity and now people are having to evacuate their homes, man, that's just way bigger than football.

Speaker 6 And I can't say enough about really our organization with the Cronkies.

Speaker 6 You know, so many people deserve a ton of credit for being able to say, all right, hey, let's gather everybody. Let's make sure that we're able to get to Arizona.

Speaker 6 You know, Tyler Higby had a great line when we were boarding that flight and people were bringing, you know, all their family. You know, some animals were on there.

Speaker 6 It was was like boarding Noah's Ark going to Arizona.

Speaker 6 But it was, it was an incredible display of the team coming together.

Speaker 6 And really what I wanted to see from our group, I wasn't worried about necessarily winning and losing, but let's represent, you know, let's be a group in terms of how we compete, how we represent this city for what it looks like, for what's great about sports.

Speaker 6 And our guys did that really each of the next two weeks. And even though we came up short of Philly, I'm damn proud to be associated with that group.
And

Speaker 6 that was some real stuff that's way bigger than football.

Speaker 1 Yeah, beautifully stated.

Speaker 1 And thank you for sharing all that behind the scenes with us from watching along because obviously captivated, and by captivated, I don't mean that in a positive way, captivated all of us about the devastation that's happening and how quickly everything can kind of take place.

Speaker 1 And now life happens as well. So you got to keep rolling ahead.
You're 39, but the way you speak is that of like a 65-year-old. So profound.

Speaker 1 And the way you talk is great, which is why everybody, ourselves included, think that you're going to go to TV.

Speaker 1 You know, and you look at Madden, what Madden was able to accomplish in such a quick career as a young guy with the Raiders and then transitioning TV, transcending society basically into a football place.

Speaker 1 His name is going to ring, you know, synonymous alongside the NFL forever because of his work in the booth. And then obviously as a coach, how much do you hear the noise?

Speaker 1 And whenever you get on TV or get in one of these interviews, immediately afterwards, you go, God, I just fucking killed that. And then just keep it rolling.
Like,

Speaker 1 what is your mindset towards it all? Because you would be great for the game, brother. You would be great for the game on a microphone.

Speaker 6 I appreciate that.

Speaker 6 That means a lot, you know, because I'm fans of you guys i was kidding you know i wasn't really kidding you know i'm glad to come on here and finally start this up hopefully we can make this a little bit more more normal now

Speaker 6 but uh amen i love coaching you know the one thing i will say is is what i don't take for granted even we were talking about having our children you know the influence and the impact that you can make where you're really being transformational instead of just transactional um and that's what i love about coaching is there interest in that stuff of course but i think we got some more stuff that we want to accomplish i love the group that i'm doing it with

Speaker 6 And if that is an opportunity down the line that represents itself or presents itself, then I'll be, you know, I'll be humbled by it, but I'm pretty damn happy doing what I'm doing and love what I'm doing.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's pretty evident. I mean, I think there were rumors of like 25, 30 mil from Amazon for one game a week on Thursday night.
That was alleged. That was alleged, obviously.

Speaker 6 Yeah, if it was that kind of number, then maybe we have to second guess that.

Speaker 1 But

Speaker 6 call me back, Amazon, if that's where we were at.

Speaker 1 I'll publicly negotiate for you anytime. But I think that number is only going up and up with the way football is.
And you talk about, you know, you've been able to do some good things.

Speaker 1 You want to continue to build on that. We have a graphic of everything you've accomplished.
Dude, to say you've done great, remarkable is the word.

Speaker 1 We have a Rams fan who happens to be the graphic designer who pieced this together, dirty in the back. And he's like,

Speaker 1 after piecing it together, it's like a lot more respect needs to be given to what has happened in such a quick time, especially in the NFC West.

Speaker 1 you know like that's not a easy division at all congrats on everything thus far coach

Speaker 1 appreciate you guys finally having me on no we're not done yet we're not done yet we're not done yet okay unless you want to leave all right you want to leave no hey i'm ready to roll That's why we love you.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. That's why, you know, that's why everybody loves you.

Speaker 1 Now, we just wanted to point out all your accolades there and show it to you so you know, hey, a lot has been done here.

Speaker 1 If a microphone does present itself, you know, maybe we go ahead to Hall of Fame in both of them.

Speaker 1 But with the team that you have, there are some decisions that have to be made every single year that aren't easy, I would assume. Tone has a question for you.

Speaker 1 Yeah, coach, nothing's final yet, but a guy that you did all those things with, Cooper Cup, I know is potentially going to be traded. He's been with you for all of those years.

Speaker 1 How hard was that decision? And

Speaker 1 how do you feel about Cooper Cup as just as a human in general?

Speaker 6 Yeah, I think the first thing you acknowledge is the impact this guy's had on my life.

Speaker 6 Most importantly, as a human, I'm a better person for having been around Cooper Cup. Obviously, his production, he's such a baller.

Speaker 6 He did so many great things for us over the course of his career, and we've been through a lot together.

Speaker 6 And I think one of the things I've always appreciated about Cooper, he was one of those few people that he always, I know he loved me enough to be able to tell me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear, and really challenged me.

Speaker 6 And I'm better for having been around him. His legacy is cemented as a ram.
It was arguably as hard a decision as we've had to come to since I've been the head coach here. And so

Speaker 6 you don't take it lightly. He was such a stud in terms of the dialogue and being able to have some of those real conversations.
And he's going to do a great job wherever his next stop is.

Speaker 6 But man, those things are very real, very challenging. But you know, you always talk about how you separate the person on the business.
No, it's all intermixed.

Speaker 6 And you love them enough to be able to tell them, you know, why, but you always preface it with, hey, I could be wrong here. I've been wrong before.

Speaker 6 And all we're trying to do is make the decisions that we think are in the best interest of the collective.

Speaker 6 But this guy is such a stud and

Speaker 6 love him and appreciate him more than words can express.

Speaker 1 He was a great wide receiver for you guys. He won the Triple Crown and also the Yak, I believe.
So it was the top four stats at one historic year and historic run.

Speaker 1 The nine to dine podcast, obviously, he and Stafford grew very close. Hell of a run is a ram.
Excited to see where he goes next. Some team will be very lucky for him.

Speaker 1 And before we let you know, what is right now, what does today look like? Are we watching film from the Combine or are we watching film from other? What is the next like couple of weeks?

Speaker 6 So really, we're in the midst of trying to get a couple of our own guys signed, you know, because next week represents the, you know, the legal tampering period or whatever the hell they call it next Monday.

Speaker 6 But with our guys, we can get them done. And so we got a couple guys that we want to try to be able to get signed.
We're studying draft guys, and then we're going to start to dive into the scheme.

Speaker 6 You know, we've got all of our coaches here. It was a light turnover year.
We got six new coaches. So that was a light turnover.
It's crazy. I mean, you know, it's wild.

Speaker 6 You know, this is the first year. that since our very first season that we've made the playoffs that we didn't lose somebody directly from our staff that got a head job.

Speaker 6 Every other year we've made the playoffs, other than our first year in this past year, we've lost somebody directly from our staff.

Speaker 6 You know, Liam gets one from Tampa, but you're talking about directly from our staff with Zach Taylor, Brandon Staley, Kevin O'Connell, Raheem Morris, four years, you know, that we made the playoffs in between those first and last ones, pretty wild.

Speaker 1 Yeah, when we talk about what happened in Philadelphia, they've lost offense coordinator, defense coordinator, having to turn that over, trying to re-implement a culture, re-implement everything with a new voice in in charge not easy you've been able to handle it pretty well you guys also lost somebody in the front office are you worried about gladstone little babyface coming in and just sniping all

Speaker 6 the stud man don't sleep on gladstone he is i'll tell you what this guy's a smart sharp articulate dude love the way he sees the game he's got a great delivery you know he's i i'm so much faster my he's got this nice patient calm delivery i said man i just want to listen to you talk he's a great teacher i'm fired up for james James Gladstone.

Speaker 6 Congratulations to James. Go help Liam get this thing right in Jacksonville.

Speaker 1 He looks like he's 12, though. Yeah, that's his thing.
He looks like he's like a gamer. He looks like he's a 12-year-old.

Speaker 1 But hey, listen, you had the same thing whenever you became the head coach of the Rams, looking like a young lad.

Speaker 6 You'll love this, Pat.

Speaker 6 When I was the OC for Washington, when Jay Gruden was the head coach, I get hired as a 27-year-old, the OC for three years. I decided to shave my beard one day, and he's like, bro, you can't do that.

Speaker 6 You look like you're 10 years old. Nobody will take you serious.
You got to grow that shit back immediately.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that makes sense. Gladstone might want to paint one on like he's hoaxed or whatever the case.
That's right. We're excited to see it all work out.
We appreciate you joining us, man.

Speaker 1 Hopefully this is the first of many.

Speaker 6 Yeah. Hey, would love that.
Appreciate you guys having me on. Big fan.

Speaker 1 Ladies and gentlemen, head coach of Los Angeles Rams. That was really cool.
Sean McVay.

Speaker 1 Oh, damn, he knows the program. Weapon, yeah.

Speaker 4 Electric.

Speaker 1 That is electric. Those highlights, too.
And we would be okay if we were the ones getting credit with dogs. Yeah.

Speaker 1 You know what I mean? We nowhere near creating it. Been around a very, very long time.

Speaker 1 But as a person that got a front row seat to watch a lot of football, as a kicker and as a punter, both in college and in the NFL, team's a lot better when you've got a bunch of dogs versus whenever you don't have a lot of dogs.

Speaker 1 That's just my simple view of football breakdown and him being like, hey, same, brother. I feel the exact same way.
Need dogs. How do you find out if a guy has a dog or not, the combine?

Speaker 1 Legitimately, that is like the most important. You can't combine.
I think that's the most important piece of information. Legit.

Speaker 4 Yeah, you can talk to them in the background. But for me, it's like the players that play with them,

Speaker 4 that are already on your team or in the NFL, coaches that have coached them. And then, like you said, the most important part of the process is the film.
You turn on the film.

Speaker 4 You can tell the guys that want to compete.

Speaker 4 And once you get to the combine, if a guy doesn't throw or doesn't run or doesn't do drills, that doesn't tell me anything about who they are as a competitor.

Speaker 4 You turn on that film, you ask the people around them, and you'll get your answer pretty short.

Speaker 1 And I feel like a lot of it has to do do with where you like come out of.

Speaker 1 Like it used to be Bama, but now like, you know, like the Eagles and Howie, he trusts taking Georgia guys because he knows if they are starters and if they are good enough to play and to get to the combat and to the draft, they're like, oh, this guy has to be a dog just coming out of that program with Kirby.

Speaker 1 So I feel like definitely the pedigree and like where you come from, stuff like that, you know? Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 1 How you're taught, you know, that's like Bill Belichick's big selling point down there in Lombardy. It's like, hey, whenever you get a UNC guy, you're going to get a pro.

Speaker 1 You're going to get a guy that's ready to work. We're going to kind of do the sifting out of personality for you.
I think that's a good thing to have as a university.

Speaker 1 Now, will they have enough patience to get to that point? You know, like it takes a little bit, especially in this new world with the transfer portal and NIL and the ability to bounce.

Speaker 1 If you're not happy after, I don't know, a week, you can just kind of do your thing. Will UNC be able to build it quick enough? I hope so.
Obviously, because we love Lombo. And also,

Speaker 1 you know it. You know what's happening.
You know more than anybody. Yukon guy.

Speaker 1 You talk about a hard edge.

Speaker 2 Are we sure?

Speaker 4 We still trusting the climb?

Speaker 1 Right now? We're not trusting. No, we're not.
We're doing hill climbers, brother. We're not just trusting the climb.
We're doing the damn climb. Okay, it's a little bit different.

Speaker 1 Thank you, Neil Brown, for your service to West Virginia. You're an absolute kind man.
With that being said, yeah,

Speaker 1 we're getting dogs back in Morgantown. Okay.
Okay.

Speaker 1 And maybe there were a few that were there throughout the years. Obviously, Neil was able to produce some NFLers and Zach Fraser, obviously the most notable up there in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 I have nothing but respect for the guys that came out of West Virginia through the Neil Brown era. It's just going to be a little bit different going forward.

Speaker 1 You know, we'll be looking for a little different attitude, a little different mindset, a little different workouts, a little different practices, a little bit different everything, you know, is happening out there from what I've been told.

Speaker 1 And it might take a little bit of time. And it might take a little bit, might need a,

Speaker 1 might need a,

Speaker 1 you know, up there.

Speaker 4 Usually year three.

Speaker 1 That's what's happened with Matt Rule. He's thinking up there in Nebraska, it's happened in the past.
It's not easy to build a culture or reset a culture, but when you do it, you got gold.

Speaker 1 And when you have it, hold on to it forever. Do not let it out of there.
That is why him being 39 years old, if he wanted to run the McVay culture at the Rams for the next 30 years, he could.

Speaker 1 What a place for the Cronkies to be in as the ownership of that team. And obviously, 25, 30 million seems to be the number if you're a TV company for Sean McVay.

Speaker 1 Let's move away from the NFL, shall we? We already talked about Elimination Chamber, which was electrifying. Shout out to John Cena, you know, making the decision of his life.
Come on, Joe.

Speaker 1 Time with our team with the final boss and Travis Scott and kick Cody Rhodes right in the balls, heading into WrestleMania.

Speaker 1 After winning the elimination chamber, now you'll be representing the final boss and the boys. Excited to hear what their name is.

Speaker 3 Oh, my God, I know.

Speaker 1 There's a couple names that are just sitting right there that are

Speaker 1 easily usable, but we'll see what they do. Let's pivot away from those things.
Let's go to the NBA. The NBA is happening.
It is.

Speaker 1 The NBA is happening in a big way, by the way, because a massive trade sent a superstar to L.A., and that has kind of changed the setting for everywhere in the association.

Speaker 1 Conman, what the hell's going on in the sport? Yeah, the Lakers are unbelievable now.

Speaker 2 Looking at it earlier today, January 13th, okay, rewind a little bit. The Lakers are the seventh seed.
They are now the two seed. They are unbelievable.

Speaker 2 Luca, last night, I believe he had 29, 9, and 6. Everyone knows he has a little rivalry with the Clippers, I believe, starting kind of during that little COVID bubble.

Speaker 2 So the Lakers are unbelievable now. LeBron actually, that was his 1,000th win.
He has the fourth most wins of all time when it comes to the NBA. I believe he is 75 away from the record.

Speaker 2 Pretty incredible. They play the Pelicans on Tuesday.
Zion and his sweet Naruto tattoo. That should be cool.
But yes, they are the second seed.

Speaker 2 What's that?

Speaker 1 You don't understand. Naruto.
Yeah, dog.

Speaker 1 That's the problem. You run like this.

Speaker 1 You're running fast. He got faster because of it.
Remember, they were going to storm Area 51. That's right.
And they're all going to run like this because of the, what's that called? The

Speaker 1 windstream. Aerodynamics.

Speaker 1 Windstream, the aerodynamics of it all with the wind stream. Yeah, so that's just raising.

Speaker 4 I just thought it was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 Yeah, because his, I'm not going to say it. Yeah,

Speaker 1 his stomach is actually doing this right now. More powerful.
He's in more shape. Boom.
That's how Bill walks around the office.

Speaker 4 Whatever.

Speaker 1 Oh, it's you bruise. Bill sending that tweet into the group knowing that I had not seen any of the workouts.
Dude, how cool is this? I might get one too.

Speaker 1 Maybe Bill should. Maybe he'll become an absolute hooper, an absolute

Speaker 1 dog. Like Zion is whenever he plays.
It's not going to twist it. That is why we are such big fans of his because it's like he hears all the criticism.
He does not care.

Speaker 1 And then he shows up, triple, double. No big deal.
Are they going to let me on the court tonight? I don't know. That's on the Pelicans.
But if they do, I'm going to go bananas.

Speaker 1 And in the post-game presser, I'm going to laugh. I'm going to have a time of my life.
And if you get me in Dallas, keep an eye out because I'm going to be rolling.

Speaker 1 Nonetheless, shout out to the NBA and the Lakers seemingly go ahead and climb the chart.

Speaker 2 Yeah, this is the first time they have been ranked, you know, two or higher in four years. So talk about relevance.
Luca really has kind of come in, figured it out.

Speaker 2 Probably never going to talk about the Pelicans again because they are damn near the worst team in the league.

Speaker 1 Yeah,

Speaker 2 them and Ryan Smith's boys. But that's the Western Conference.
Going to the east, Tyrese Halburton.

Speaker 2 Look around, boys. We have witness history.
Halberton is the first player ever to have 500 assists in a season without having 100 turnovers. He has 69 assists.

Speaker 2 and six turnovers since the all-star break.

Speaker 1 Remember, he did not make the all-star. He did not make the all-time.
He just chilled. He just got the chill, got the reset.
He's come back on the other side. The Pacers have on fire.

Speaker 2 Yeah, they're rolling. They're the five-seed right now, kind of holding off the Detroit Pistons, who also have been playing very good basketball for the first time this millennium.

Speaker 1 But it is great.

Speaker 2 The Pacers are playing very well. How Burns playing very well.
Obviously, they didn't start the entire season great, but they have kind of turned it on here. This is the most important time.

Speaker 2 You know, we talk about November football, December football. That's where we are right now when it comes to the NBA.

Speaker 2 March is kind of the time where if you're not playing your best ball, that is very bad news. Playoffs start towards the end of April, basically right after WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 So fantastic news for the Pacers. How Burton.

Speaker 1 He's got range, brother. Yeah, yeah.
I mean, he's pulling up logo. He's doing logo shots right now.

Speaker 2 Yeah, he started this game here four for four from three. I believe this was the 33-11 game he had right before he came on the program last week.
So they are rolling.

Speaker 2 They are playing the Rockets on Tuesday. But when you're talking about the Eastern Conference, obviously you've got to talk about the Champs Boston Celtics, okay?

Speaker 1 Didn't they just lose to the Cavs in Boston?

Speaker 2 They lost to the Cavs in Boston.

Speaker 2 And you know, it was a bummer. But Jason Tatum had 46 points.
Another fantastic showing. Jalen Brown, he had 36 points.
They were up 23 to 2, and then they play with their food.

Speaker 2 You know, that's kind of what happens with the Celtics sometimes. Probably the best possible thing for the Celtics was to lose to the Cavaliers on Friday after showing like...

Speaker 1 The Cavs fans are saying, of course, this is how we cover this game. We're number one in the Eastern Conference.

Speaker 1 And the way ESPN is covering the game is, yeah, it was good for the Celtics to lose the way they did, up 23-2. I saw that.
I saw a lot of this. I saw a lot of get that.
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 Missoula's got a lot to pull from, is what you're saying.

Speaker 2 Bingo, and there's a lot of motivation, but the Cavs are fantastic. Donovan Mitchell had 41 points, but today, you know, we have to do it.
Happy birthday, Jason Tatum.

Speaker 1 Happy birthday, Jason.

Speaker 2 27. He is the third player ever with 13,000 points, 4,000 rebounds before turning 27.
That's Will Chamberlain and LeBron James.

Speaker 2 You know, if it wasn't for, you know, God in the universe, every time he does something, you know, for instance, going up 25 to 2 and saying, you know, get the hell out of here.

Speaker 2 It does feel as though anytime he tries to do something like that, the universe and God says, you know what, you lose.

Speaker 1 Anytime you try to get a little mocked.

Speaker 2 Stop doing this corny zaney stuff, okay? Every time you do it, I'm going to punish you. And that's what has happened.
But they are sitting at the two seat pretty comfortably.

Speaker 2 But yeah, the Cavaliers, they are unbelievable. It is a great story.
Got to prove it in the playoffs. You know, that's basically what the story was for the Celtics last year.

Speaker 2 Hey, got to win a championship before we talk about you. Like, you're great, but the Cavs are fantastic as well.
All right, NBA.

Speaker 1 I saw some people doing some interviews, too. Yeah.
Oh, yeah. Huh? Talking,

Speaker 1 chatting, letting us learn a little bit more. I think maybe they got guarded as everybody started killing them.
Sure.

Speaker 1 You know, I thought about this over the weekend as I was traveling back from Toronto to Detroit, shot to Detroit to do customs,

Speaker 1 reload, go Toronto hour traffic's just sitting dead. Oh yeah.
I mean not even moving. So

Speaker 1 it was great to be there. People driving there.
It was great to be there. But I was thinking about it.

Speaker 1 It's like, I feel like the NBA players, because of how much money they make, okay, which is a matter of fact, when everybody just starts killing them, they probably get a little guarded and just say, fuck everybody.

Speaker 1 I think what needs to happen is we need to learn more about you guys. That's what I think in the NBA.
I think we need to learn more about, you guys need to be talking more because we know Tyrese.

Speaker 1 We love him. The man.
The more we learn about Tyrese, we love. And he talks about the other guys: like, yeah, we got a good group.
We got a good group. We never hear it.

Speaker 1 We never hear it until you retire. Like Teague.
Imagine him telling those stories when he's in the league. Yeah.
I mean, people would absolutely love it. He's fantastic.
So come on, NBA. Come on.

Speaker 1 NHL happened this weekend, 90-some thousand people. It was awesome.
In the horseshoe watching wings and blue jackets. Blue jackets get a massive win, I do believe.
Yes, they did.

Speaker 1 Peter the dog was there. I mean, sports are on fire.

Speaker 1 Sports. We're hearing all around us.
We're lucky to talk about it. We can't thank you enough for joining us here on this glorious Monday afternoon.
Tonight's Monday Night Raw.

Speaker 1 We'll be live from Buffalo, New York, live on Netflix with the fallout of the Elimination Chamber and everything else as we continue the road to WrestleMania. Can't wait to get up there.

Speaker 1 Obviously, talking sports today, not alone, but with a great group. The talk stables here at Boston Connor and at Ty Schmidt.
Hey, go Hawks, bud. Go Hawks, baby.

Speaker 3 Hey, a couple Hawks, you know, had a great weekend at the Combine.

Speaker 3 So, you know, know, that's what we're trying to do is just, you know, continually put more guys in the league because, you know, I know that once they get in the league, they're going to perform.

Speaker 1 And I believe Caitlin and the Fever are playing like Brazil or something over there. Did you hear about this?

Speaker 2 No, I didn't.

Speaker 1 Okay. Ty, this is happening in your, literally in your arena.
I think it sold out in like 40 minutes.

Speaker 3 Yeah, one of the Fever's preseason games is going to be played at Carver in Iowa City.

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah, it sold out. I didn't know that it was Brazil.
I think it's a Brazil national team or something. I think so, yeah.

Speaker 1 From what I looked into, I'm not 100% sure, but I think that was the meme that I saw. Sold out in like 40 minutes or whatever the case is.
That's good business.

Speaker 1 Caitlin just brings the money training to different cities. And

Speaker 1 I was a good sports place. Oh, yeah.
It is. You know, it's out there in the middle of nowhere.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 A lot of corn. Mm-hmm.
But they got so much tradition and history in football. Is the football team going to be good?

Speaker 3 Yeah, I think so. Yep.
Tony knows.

Speaker 1 That's one half of the hammer. Done.
Cowboys AP Tony. You're saying yes.
How close? Well, they finally have a quarterback. They got the quarterback from South Dakota State, I believe, if I'm not.

Speaker 1 Yeah, correct,

Speaker 1 Mark Gronowski. So they pay now.
They finally have a quarterback. I mean, they're losing a little bit to the Gronoski.

Speaker 3 He was the FCS Heisman.

Speaker 1 He was the FCS Heisman. Yeah.
Hey, a lot of these guys, they get this is what the NIO and Transfer Portal has really done. Bingo.
Especially for quarterbacks. He's at South Dakota State.

Speaker 1 Go, Big, Go, Blue, Go, Jack.

Speaker 1 Or is it what which? Oh, we did not get that one.

Speaker 2 No, South Dakota State.

Speaker 3 The blue team.

Speaker 3 He was not at North Dakota.

Speaker 1 Okay, so he was go, Big, Go, Blue, Go, Jack. Yeah, go Jack.
Yeah, getting an opportunity now to go to a larger conference, more spotlight, more game. This is a good thing from the Transporta NIO.

Speaker 1 Not that South Dakota State doesn't deserve to have great players. I'm just saying this is going to become the thing in it.

Speaker 1 And hopefully, Iowa does have an offense that plays football as opposed to rugby. That would be cool for all parties.

Speaker 1 Now, let's transfer away from college ball, which is awesome and was electrifying this past season, back to the NFL, nine-year NFL vet. He was a corner.
He was a safety. He was a nickel at one point.

Speaker 1 He's the host of everything DB, ladies and gentlemen, Darius J. Bullers.

Speaker 1 D-Butch, in the first hour, we had our first Master Week victim, Darius Slay, has been cut by the Philadelphia Eagles. He was on with the Amon Raw St.
Brown Brothers.

Speaker 1 The St. Brown's podcast.

Speaker 1 I believe is the name of it. Good podcast, by the way.
It is. Great podcast.
Good conversations. Doesn't feel forced.
Love that the brothers get great family, too.

Speaker 1 I've learned a lot about them from Amon Raw's previous primetime games. Dad, professional bodybuilder, I do believe.
This is what Darius Slay had to say to the St. Brown Brian brothers.

Speaker 2 This is your last year with the Eagles.

Speaker 1 How many more years you got left in your deal?

Speaker 11 I got one more left, but you know what I'm saying? You know how that work.

Speaker 11 Yeah, so whatever they want to do, I might resign back, hopefully. You know, if I ain't, then we'll see what we're doing because I do want to play one more year for sure, though.

Speaker 1 One more year? Okay.

Speaker 11 Yeah, one more year for sure. You like Detroit, you said, huh? Oh, I love Detroit.
I got nothing but love.

Speaker 1 That's my second home. You know what I'm saying? That's my second home.

Speaker 11 I do a lot for the city still to this day.

Speaker 11 A lot of guys that's from Detroit, that's in the league, was all kind of like hang with me when they was little high school kids. That's what the crazy part.

Speaker 11 A couple of my teammates, Monte Maddox, he trained with me when he was at high school. South Gardner,

Speaker 11 boy, your boy, you gonna like Jordan Will Lewis.

Speaker 11 Donovan Beefers-Jones, he was with me.

Speaker 1 Okay, yeah. So a lot of the guys, man, that I was in Detroit with, I was coming up.

Speaker 11 I listen to have like little agents meet me at this

Speaker 11 field. A lot of guys show up, and a lot of them guys are dumb.

Speaker 11 So I got a lot of love. Then I went to all the high school games, all the high school basketball games.

Speaker 11 I seen, what's the little kid named?

Speaker 11 That said Cleveland. That boy can hoop, but I don't know how he's not playing, playing.

Speaker 1 Monty Bay.

Speaker 1 Monty Bay.

Speaker 11 I used to watch him in high school go crazy. Like, I was go about,

Speaker 1 man, I ain't never seen him kids sell out of the gym like like he LeBron, but I swear to God, he was about the whole

Speaker 11 college stadium. They'd be sold out.

Speaker 11 Yeah, he was nice, though. So I did a lot for the city, so that's why I got a lot of love.

Speaker 1 Okay, so it sounds like, shout out to the St. Brown podcast for getting that.
Sounds like Darius Slay has a lot of love for Detroit.

Speaker 1 Now, obviously, Amon Ra is one of the staples and pillars of the Lions. Darius Slay started his career with the Lions, got kicked out of town for a bag of balls, right? 100%.

Speaker 1 Matt Patricia, friend of the program, said, get this guy the hell out of here. He goes to Philly.
Obviously, he has the success that he has.

Speaker 1 Debutch, when it comes to Darius Slay, how'd he play this year? Obviously, he's a Super Bowl champion. And would Detroit be a good fit for him, obviously, with Kelvin Shepard now, new D.C.
up there?

Speaker 4 Yeah, when Slay was healthy, he was playing very, very good football. He's put together a great career, probably a Hall of Fame career, a lot of people's opinions.

Speaker 4 I had that big interception, I believe, against the Packers late in the season of the playoffs.

Speaker 4 But the things that he was saying about being in Detroit, like, I remember, I've been following him for a while. I remember he was pull up to different high school games.

Speaker 4 And that's dope to kind of see your legacy still there. So that would be a great place for him to go back and

Speaker 4 finish his story. But the Detroit Lions, they invested a lot of resources into DBs the last couple years of Carlton Davis.

Speaker 4 Robertson bringing him over from the Raiders, drafting Terryon Arnold in the first round last year. So I'm not sure how it would fit exactly on that team, but he would fit in any scheme.

Speaker 4 He's a smart guy. He can play.
He can still run. He can still make plays on the ball.
And he's great in the locker room, too. Great in the locker room.
And it would be great.

Speaker 4 You know, winners, you always want winners in your locker room to kind of build that culture in those meaty rooms for young DBs. So I'm excited to see wherever Slay finishes his career.

Speaker 1 Ran into Kelvin Shepard last week at the Combine. Great to see him.

Speaker 1 Feels like he's right at home at DC. You know, he is very confident, very comfortable, very happy too.
MCDC head coach of the Lions, Bobblehead, right there in front of you, actually.

Speaker 1 He gave a speech about,

Speaker 1 or an answer at the press conference about Kelvin Shepard two years ago.

Speaker 1 Started giving them more and more and more to do because they thought he was on the trajectory to become a defensive coordinator. Aaron Glenn gets a head coaching job at the Jets.

Speaker 1 Kelvin Shepard steps right in. How should that transition go for him, you think? And what should we expect from Kelvin Shepard and that D up there in Detroit?

Speaker 4 It should be pretty smooth because it's obviously a different voice. And this is kind of, I think, what the Ravens have done for a long time.
They promote within a lot.

Speaker 4 So it's easier to kind of keep that culture. You know what the standard is when you walk into that room.
You know how they're going to be judged and graded, pursuing, you know,

Speaker 4 no lacking off when it comes to running and chasing the ball, attacking the ball, getting turnovers. They just got to create more pass rush.

Speaker 4 But I think going from Aaron Glenn to Kelvin Shepard, who's been on his staff for a while now, I think it'll be a pretty smooth transition, especially with Big Hutch coming back up front.

Speaker 1 So you guys aren't dead. I guess the Lions aren't dead.
No, we're not dead. And if we learn anything from this last season when it comes to Darius Slay, you cannot have

Speaker 1 enough depth on the defensive side of the ball. So I would love to have him back in Detroit.
A lot of injuries, obviously, happened to that Detroit Lions defense, and they continue to win.

Speaker 1 Continue to win. Let's say in the NFC North, the all-time leading tackler for the Green Bay Packers is back off a cruise ship.

Speaker 1 Ladies and gentlemen, Super Bowl champion, college football national champion, father of 10, AJ Hawk.

Speaker 1 AJ, good to see you. You're glowing.
Fresh off a Caribbean cruise. Fresh off a Caribbean cruise.
Good to see you. Yeah, I got back.

Speaker 12 Got back last night from the Buckeye Cruise, but yeah, it feels like forever since I've been here with you guys.

Speaker 12 Missed you guys. And it was fun watching you from the combine.
First off, the set looked amazing. Like everything about it was really cool.

Speaker 12 And Schultze and Rapid Port really took over the high seas, man. International waters.
That's all they could talk about.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, anytime you get into a battle in Starbase, people are going to want to talk about it. Especially on what we assume to be a drunk-a-buckey cruise.
Is that what it was?

Speaker 1 Or how was the vibes this year on the cruise? And how much money was raised for

Speaker 12 cancer, for cancer research and everything about it. But yeah, the cruise still is going until Wednesday.
I got off. My brother came with me.

Speaker 12 We jumped off in Jamaica and flew home yesterday, but they will be going until Wednesday. So we'll see.
I'm sure that it's already in the millions, but it will be a ton of money.

Speaker 1 Rude Boy took the Bombalcott plane as soon as he could. Get back to Ohio.
We appreciate you joining us. A lot has happened around the NFL, a lot of drama.
Darius Slay now, a free agent.

Speaker 1 What are your thoughts quickly here about him potentially joining any team now?

Speaker 12 I mean, I think Detroit, why not? The guy wants to be there and listen to him talk about that.

Speaker 12 Yeah, he's Darius Slay is one of those, you know, like the OGDBs that bring up the young guys, that help everybody, that teach them all the little things.

Speaker 12 I got to see guys like Al Harris, Charles Woodson, those kind of guys kind of pass their knowledge knowledge down to the younger dudes.

Speaker 12 And I think that is invaluable, especially at the corner and safety position.

Speaker 1 We'll see what other teams are offering. You know, it always comes down to offers and potential and opportunity, but the Lions are in the Super Bowl hunt.

Speaker 1 So you go with the Eagles go to the Super Bowl, maybe go back to the Lions. That'd be a great way to wrap up a career.
But good luck out there, Slaymaker.

Speaker 2 Hell yeah.

Speaker 1 Let's stay in the NFC North, kind of. Ladies and gentlemen, joining us now is an NFL Offensive Player of the Year, an all-pro, and by all accounts, best wide receiver in the NFL.

Speaker 1 Out of LSU, Minnesota Viking, Justin Jefferson. Yeah, yeah,

Speaker 1 yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah. How you doing, man?

Speaker 7 I'm doing great, man. Can't complain.
How you doing?

Speaker 1 I'm fantastic. Thank you for joining us.
We're very, very appreciative. And also, thank you for doing what you're doing.
We're just now learning of this.

Speaker 1 Flight School, which is going to be an invite-only high school wide receiver camp that you are putting together. How did this come to be? And how pumped are you to give back to the younger generation?

Speaker 7 Big time, time, man. I'm so pumped, man.
I'm so excited. Because when I was in high school, we didn't have things like this.

Speaker 7 You know, we didn't have guys, you know, put in, putting on these different camps, putting on these different workout situations to help these high schoolers grow and to really perform once they get into college.

Speaker 7 And I just want to help out. You know, I always want to help out the community.
I always want to help out the younger guys

Speaker 7 transition to college, transition to the NFL.

Speaker 7 So, you know, having some guys out, elite guys, come and work out with me and to learn, to really, you know, experience just working out with me and being around me.

Speaker 7 So it's definitely a great situation that's going on. So if you're a baller, you're an elite athlete, it's time to work.

Speaker 1 I love that. Prime used to say, if you ball, you get the call.
Not a bad idea for flights, but when will this be? When will this be, Justin?

Speaker 7 This is going to be in June, June 6th through the 9th. So

Speaker 7 in Bradenton at IMG Academy,

Speaker 7 it's going to be a fun time. I can't wait.

Speaker 1 I can't wait. We're pumped for it as well.
Can't wait to see the clips that come out of there. We assume there is going to be some incredible play.
Somebody's going to get.

Speaker 1 I mean, there's going to be,

Speaker 1 which leads me to this, Justin. So I think maybe your class, maybe the one before, I'm not 100% sure, but in LSU is certainly a massive piece of this.

Speaker 1 But there was these young wide receivers that were just coming in and dominating. You, obviously, the topic of conversation whenever that happens, but you weren't the only one.

Speaker 1 There was a lot of guys. Do you think it's because of the seven-on-sevens, because of the one-on-one culture that we kind of have now through high school and through younger ages? Is why?

Speaker 1 Or why do you think you were able to do well young? And why do you think wide receivers have been able to continue to step up?

Speaker 7 Yeah, that's a great question.

Speaker 7 You know, time has changed so much. The game has evolved in so many different ways.

Speaker 7 You know, flag football wasn't a big thing when I was growing up. You know, I never really played flag football like that.
We didn't really play seven on seven like they play now.

Speaker 7 So the game is definitely involving and just, you know, having different ways to really learn the game of football and just being more skillful, you know, just not putting on those helmet and shoulder pads, getting physical.

Speaker 7 You know, they're working on their skill set and working on just being true ballers and having fun doing it. So

Speaker 7 I wish I had that growing up.

Speaker 7 Maybe things would have been a little different, but I feel like, you know, putting on that shoulder pads and helmet at seven years old got me to where I'm at right now.

Speaker 1 It's all worked worked out, it's all worked out, and your toughness is something that doesn't get chatted about. You get the ball a lot, and it's not always the easiest catches.

Speaker 1 I mean, you go and get it as a superstar, and uh, you're also an asshole. What was the kick-me sign?

Speaker 1 You put the kick-me sign on my back, I was just trying to be a principal, trying to get flag football, you know, uh, uh, legislated across the country, and there you are, smacking my back.

Speaker 1 You were fantastic out there, that was a funny.

Speaker 7 Hey, I told, I, I told you, I told you, and I told everybody else that asked me about it you need to pursue an acting career man because hey the the the makeup the hey everything was just top tier man hey i think i think you should i want to see you on the on the movie screen one day man i want to see that yeah you were you were hyping me up the whole time and i appreciate that uh that's peter berg in the middle obviously one of the most famous directors on earth and uh what a time we had that morning in Chula Vista.

Speaker 1 I was lucky to be a part of it, thankful to be a part of it. But the initiative, to your point, about girls flag football and trying to make it like a sport that is sanctioned by all the states.

Speaker 1 I know in Pennsylvania they have.

Speaker 1 So like our high school of Plum, who is very good at girls soccer, very good at girls lacrosse, it's like probably a good chance that we're going to have a good girls flag football team continue to grow the game.

Speaker 1 I think it's a great sport, Justin, Legit. I think it's a great sport.

Speaker 7 I think it is too, man.

Speaker 7 And, you know, just talking with, you know, some of the girls that were at the Pro Bowl, you know, just seeing them, how excited they were of being involved in the sport and just being happy to be at the Pro Bowl and being around these top tier players.

Speaker 7 So it's definitely, just like I said, evolving for sure.

Speaker 7 But it's crazy to see women into this sport and women excited to be involved in it. And just to see it, you know, going to different countries and us, you know, just expanding the game worldwide.

Speaker 7 It's so great to see, honestly.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I think it's beautiful for the sport. That's why when I was asked to be a a part of it, obviously, incredibly honored.
But then I heard what it was about. It's like, I got a daughter.

Speaker 1 I think she, looking at the way mom's built, the way I'm built, I don't know if she's going to be a WNBA player.

Speaker 1 I don't know if that's going to be the case, but I can see her, you know, like those high school girls at the Pro Bowl, there was some sauce on that. I mean, there was some real shit happening.

Speaker 7 Even the plays that they were running was crazy. Yeah, like the double plays.

Speaker 1 Hey,

Speaker 7 I told her we might have to take some of the plays

Speaker 1 at his hour. No shit.
All right, AJ has a question for you, JJ.

Speaker 12 Yeah, Justin, obviously what you're doing with those high school kids is going to be so valuable for them.

Speaker 12 Is there something that you may have been, you've done when you were 15, 16, 17 that you thought, hey, this is what I'm supposed to do. This will get me to the NFL that maybe wasn't the right path.

Speaker 12 Or is there something that you see people maybe getting bad habits that you can teach these kids and try to get them on the right path early that maybe you didn't have back then?

Speaker 7 Yeah,

Speaker 7 I would really just say, I mean, everybody doesn't really have that support system

Speaker 7 like I had growing up, you know, with two loving parents,

Speaker 7 two, you know, older brothers that helped me throughout my whole entire,

Speaker 7 you know, situation to get where I'm at today. You know, a lot of kids, especially nowadays, don't have that type of support system, especially with the NIL going on.

Speaker 7 A lot of kids taking money more over than

Speaker 7 the situation and just the development and getting coached the right way. So I would just say more on not thinking about the NIL

Speaker 7 as much as they are doing right now.

Speaker 7 Just going into LSU and just going into meeting those new coaches and them develop me into

Speaker 7 a top-tier receiver. That's something that I'm always grateful for.
Just meeting

Speaker 7 Jerry Sullivan and just being with those type of coaches down at LSU helped me develop to a top tier player that I am now.

Speaker 7 So just that development and just getting that right coaching is something that every player needs.

Speaker 1 Okay, so let's stay on that note. Ty has a question for you.

Speaker 3 Yeah, Justin, so you obviously mentioned the coaching and everything, but if you look at the NFL right now, you could argue that like five of the 10 best receivers in the league are from Louisiana and a lot of them went to LSU.

Speaker 3 Is that what it is? Is it coaching or like what's in the water down there?

Speaker 3 Because it really is crazy that all of you guys who are just a couple years apart of each other at LSU are, you know, four of the five highest paid receivers in the NFL.

Speaker 7 Yeah, it's unreal, honestly.

Speaker 7 You know, just seeing,

Speaker 7 you know,

Speaker 7 growing up and seeing Odell and Jarvis coming up and being a fan of those

Speaker 7 guys and, you know, growing that friendship with them. And it was just, you know, great to see them growing up.

Speaker 7 And then for me and Jamar to be at LSU, win the national championship and, you know, just being top tier players. And then for Brian and then Malik to come.

Speaker 7 So it's just, it's just so much talent, so much,

Speaker 7 you know, things that's going on at LSU. Of course, you know, playing those top tier guys every single week help us into becoming a top tier NFL player.

Speaker 7 But just like you said, it's either something in the water, something in the gumbo.

Speaker 7 I'm not sure what it is, but we definitely some top tier players for sure.

Speaker 1 You eating Jada Nuggets, Donna?

Speaker 1 You eating Jada Nuggets?

Speaker 7 That's some crawfish, man. Some shrimp, man.
I'm not sure what it is, dog.

Speaker 1 What is it?

Speaker 4 What do you know about that?

Speaker 1 As soon as I learned about it, I want to let you know. As soon as I learned about it, I knew I was going to do it about 35 seconds in a college game day.

Speaker 1 That was a whole thing. What? So I hear that.
Okay, so I hear that. And I'm like, wow, if this is the, if the entire place knows this, this is maybe the greatest that any school has.

Speaker 1 So I go down there and I go to dinner and I just ask like waiter. I'm like, hey,

Speaker 1 I haven't talked to this guy. And he goes, suck that tiger's dick.
And I'm like,

Speaker 1 okay, okay, okay, okay. So you know that.
And he goes, yes, everybody will know that. I'm like, all right.

Speaker 1 So the next morning, the next morning, I'm walking to the set and I see like, we have like university kids like work for game day. They get a chance to like kind of see the behind the scenes.

Speaker 1 And I'm like, hey. And they go, you.

Speaker 1 And I'm like, you know that. They're like, yes.

Speaker 1 i'm like all right everybody knows that everybody literally there was a little kid there was his grandma just like sucked that i'm like oh my oh my god what if i i hope list you gets back you know like i hope lsu is able to get back for sure because that place had all the makings to be what absolutely think about think about going into that place playing lsu and you hear that song

Speaker 1 what are you supposed to do yeah i don't know like i don't know what do you what are you supposed they even banned that song we can't even play that song anymore oh i know yeah i was told it's first commercial break i was told it's commercial oh oh for sure yeah oh for sure first commercial break they were like uh we'd rather you didn't do that that's not our thing i was like sweet sweet okay you got it so next segment

Speaker 1 it's like hey the people brother it's it's not you deciding it is the you got to get the people what they want man you have to the people are the culture the people are the culture

Speaker 1 and that is why lsu hey brian let's go brian kelly come let's go jeff landry will give it we got to get right man we got to get back to what we need to man yeah you're right governor jeff landry will get that done I mean,

Speaker 1 he was in a battle that whole week. All right, what a time.
Let's talk about transitioning now from LSU to the NFL, especially in this time. D-Bud has a question for you.

Speaker 4 Yeah, Justin, I got to ask you, man.

Speaker 4 You keep saying development.

Speaker 4 We're talking about coaching, all these different things, and the process that a lot of these young players, specifically wide receivers, are going through right now, fresh off the combine.

Speaker 4 They already put their film on tape. You got the draft coming up.
You hit the ground running early as a rookie and have just taken off since then.

Speaker 4 What advice would you give the young guys going into their first NFL season? What was the biggest difference playing college football and then on the NFL level?

Speaker 7 Yeah, that's a great question.

Speaker 7 You know, my advice would just be, you know, have the confidence, be coachable,

Speaker 7 and just learn, learn from the older guys

Speaker 7 and just be in the playbook. That's for one.
If you know the playbook and you're a guy that knows every single position, you can be put anywhere on the field and you can make a play.

Speaker 7 You already are making a difference, you know.

Speaker 7 So I would just say, especially being on that field and being a rookie, having that confidence is something that I carry myself with every single time I step foot on that field.

Speaker 7 It helped me tremendously throughout my rookie season.

Speaker 7 And it goes a long way just stepping out there and feeling like no one can cover you.

Speaker 1 Your position

Speaker 1 requires confidence, I think.

Speaker 1 I think wide receiver requires confidence. So is DB, kicker, punter, quarterback.
All the, you know, there's, there's positions that obviously, but wide receiver, they always say, like,

Speaker 1 you know, that's a wide receiver, though. Oh, that's a wide receiver.
When you talk about people bitching and being negative and everything like that, they always say that that's

Speaker 1 why have you, I don't know, that's such a, hey, why aren't you an asshole? Like, what?

Speaker 1 I don't know how to ask that question, but like, there was a year there where you guys weren't great and there wasn't a lot going well. And we never heard a peep from Justin Jefferson.

Speaker 1 You know, like, there's never been, and obviously there's a lot of guys that get paid a lot of money. So that's not an excuse.
Like, well, he gets paid a lot of money again.

Speaker 1 Why do you have like the team mentality so much as a wide receiver one, not just wide receiver one, like maybe number one wide receiver one out there, Jay?

Speaker 7 Yeah.

Speaker 7 I mean, I just always grew up with, you know, my parents telling me to be humble and to be grateful for. anything that I've been given.

Speaker 7 And I've been given the opportunity to play football at the highest level.

Speaker 7 You know, just making money to help my family out and generations down the line.

Speaker 7 So just every single time I step foot on the field, I just like to have fun.

Speaker 7 Just going out out there and acting like a kid, just waking up and just being excited to go out there and ball and, you know, just put on a show in front of the whole entire world. And

Speaker 7 I just love just playing the game of football. I love going out there and compete with my teammates, winning games, and, of course, hopefully one day

Speaker 7 hold up that trophy.

Speaker 7 And then, of course, at the end of it, when it's all said and done, had that gold jacket

Speaker 7 around my back. That's always something that I dream about and always carry myself with.

Speaker 7 Just that legacy and just always trying to make a name for myself. That's always something I'm trying to do.

Speaker 1 I think you can leave the hangar open, brother. It's on its way.

Speaker 1 I think already you could say that, which goes to everything you've already accomplished. And we thought maybe this past year was going to be the year that you go and get that confetti shower.

Speaker 1 With that being said, it feels like every year it's possible. Go ahead, Conman.

Speaker 2 Yeah, Justin, what's it like playing for KOC? Obviously, it feels like he's a super genius, one of the next offensive gurus.

Speaker 2 I assume, you know, you guys have conversations on the sideline and he can draw it up for you.

Speaker 2 But we also saw him, I think, in the beginning of the 2023 season when, you know, he didn't start so well and he can, you know, rip the team still.

Speaker 2 It was kind of just like a mic up and he was kind of cussing you guys all out. How is he on the day-to-day as a coach? And is he one of those reasons you guys continue to have a bunch of success?

Speaker 7 Oh, he's wonderful. He's definitely, you know, one of the best coaches that I've been around,

Speaker 7 you know, especially an offensive-minded head coach, you know, a coach that's, you know, in the meeting rooms, that's going over the plays, that's, you know, talking with you, talking with you, you know, how to get you open and how to, you know, just put you in different situations to help the team out.

Speaker 7 He's great. You know, he's great all around.
Just talking to him, not only about football, but just about anything.

Speaker 7 Him just being a player's coach and just being such a great person to talk to. His pregame speeches are always top tier.
So it's just, he's a great guy.

Speaker 7 I love being around him. I love

Speaker 7 being a player for him and just being in the system.

Speaker 7 That's definitely something that I'm grateful for. Hopefully, you know, we continue to do great things.
And just like you said, hold up that trophy.

Speaker 1 You go, you went like eight for 180 or something one first half. And it's like all week, all the other team is saying is Justin Jefferson cannot break the game.
18 can't record.

Speaker 1 That is all we are worried about. And And then you look at halftime stats because we can't follow every single game and it's like Jay Jefferson, seven catches, 140 yards, two touchdowns.

Speaker 1 Like, did they start the game early?

Speaker 1 Did they start the game early? Did they start the game? No, that's halftime. That is halftime.
It's like, seems like in that system, you know, I think any system, you'd be great.

Speaker 1 But with KOC, obviously, he understands you and you understand him pretty well. With that being said, massive question mark looming going into the year.
Tone has a question for you.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Justin, you've got balls from, you know, Kirk and Nick Mullins and the Pastronaut and Jaron Hall and Sam Darnold. So you've got a lot of guys in that system.

Speaker 1 And there's a question, who's going to be your quarterback this upcoming season? Do you care

Speaker 1 who it's going to be? And what's your favorite type of quarterback to catch balls from since you've had a ton of them?

Speaker 7 Yeah,

Speaker 7 that's a great question. I'm not sure who the quarterback is going to be.

Speaker 7 And just like I said last year,

Speaker 7 you know, it truly doesn't matter personally to me.

Speaker 7 It doesn't matter who's going to throw me that ball. I'm going to make the most of my opportunities.

Speaker 7 I'm going to try to make him look the best quarterback in the whole NFL, just making the contested catches, making those catches that look difficult be easy.

Speaker 7 So just having that confidence in me and just creating that connection with the quarterback, no matter who the quarterback is going to be. That's the main part.

Speaker 7 And just, you know, just having that confidence in each other

Speaker 7 to, you know, when it's all said and done and it's getting crunch time, they know

Speaker 7 who to go to.

Speaker 1 You and Sam were wonderful to watch this past year. You and Kirk were awesome.
Yeah. You and the Pastronaut.

Speaker 1 I mean, literally, he rattled off all those names, and I was just thinking of highlights that you had with all those guys. I forget what it's been like over in Minnesota for the last few years.

Speaker 1 Can't wait to see who Quessie and KOC, and hopefully they let you know who they decide with going forward. Good luck over there at the quarterback position.

Speaker 1 AJ has the last question for you here, Justin.

Speaker 12 Yeah, you mentioned getting on the same page, and it is kind of crazy.

Speaker 12 We hear people talk about, yeah, it takes some time, you know, with there's nuance in the routes and everything and how a quarterback likes you to run it.

Speaker 12 What do you do to where you're on the same page, it seems like, instantly with whoever they plug in there at the quarterback position?

Speaker 7 One is just building that connection with them,

Speaker 7 just building that chemistry, you know, just talking with them,

Speaker 7 you know, not only about just routes and X's and O's, but just talking about, you know, their life personally, getting to know them personally and just building that bond with them.

Speaker 7 That's that's one thing alone. But of course, going out there on the practice field and running through those plays and making everything look smooth and fluent, getting to the spots where

Speaker 7 the quarterback needs me to be at. And of course, at the end of the day, making a grab.

Speaker 7 That's the main important thing is just making those catches that the quarterback feels good when he throw up a 50-50 ball and his receiver is coming down with that ball.

Speaker 7 So I just try to make the most of my opportunities every time I step foot on that field, no matter who the quarterback is. And I will continue to do that every chance that I get.

Speaker 1 We just showed a couple routes there. It's like,

Speaker 1 you said getting to the spot that you said you would get to no matter what. That one route was like, he was ran an out, did post back into a seam.
I mean, it was just like six different things.

Speaker 1 It was like, how do you guard that? You can't.

Speaker 7 This year was crazy, though.

Speaker 7 This year has been so much more double teams, so much more triple teams.

Speaker 7 It's been a lot more harder to create that separation and get open

Speaker 7 like I've been before. But just talking with KO, talking with Sam, and just all being on the same page, us working with each other to help me create that separation and help me get open.

Speaker 7 I feel like that's the number one thing of especially about being with these guys that

Speaker 7 they know what they're talking about. They know what plays to run to get me open.

Speaker 1 Whenever you talk about getting the quarterback personally or whatever, you know, not just

Speaker 1 X's and O's on the field. What did you learn about Sam Darnold? What an interesting career he has had.
Did you guys talk about that at all?

Speaker 7 Very interesting. Very interesting.
And just looking back on it, you know, seeing it from afar,

Speaker 7 you know, he just needed to be in that right system. You know, he needed to be with some guys that can, you know,

Speaker 7 make a little things easier for him. You know, just having a top-tier quarterback, having top-tier running back,

Speaker 7 having top tier tight end you know having those type of guys on the on the offense to help you uh move the ball down

Speaker 1 on your team yeah yeah we get it you know

Speaker 7 it'd be cool to have justin jefferson on your team yeah yeah i get it i get it you know things things are a little bit easier than what they were when you don't have those type of guys so uh just seeing him in practice seeing the the things that he's doing uh to to overcome uh the the the past and uh the career he had before uh and just not letting you know the outside noise get to him.

Speaker 7 Just being the type of guy that just trying to

Speaker 7 evolve him any chance that I get, trying to give him that juice, give him that energy that I can,

Speaker 7 any chance that I can. Even when he's making a bad throw or make a bad read, I'm going over there and making sure that

Speaker 7 he's not sitting on it. He's not keeping his mind on that.

Speaker 7 We're moving on to the next play. We're still with him.
We still have that confidence in him. It's just all about just going out there and just having fun playing.

Speaker 1 That's awesome. What a different experience he had to have this past year person in the past.
I see your shirt as we let you go. L'Académie de Jetta.

Speaker 1 Okay, I believe that is Jetta University, if that was to be translated. Is that flight school? Is that what we have?

Speaker 7 What you know about all this, man?

Speaker 1 We we, we we, we we, bonjour, saba, saba, yeah. The whole, um, I was just up in Canada.
You know, they speak French up there in some places.

Speaker 1 Wild to think about, but they do. We we.

Speaker 1 L'Académie de Jetta, though, that is Jetta University. Is that flight school? is that what we're also going to be calling flight school or no

Speaker 7 no this this is just you know my one of my under armor uh shirts you know just one of the you know what i'm saying so yeah uh just creating that brand with under armor and uh they're doing so much to help me out even with flight school uh they're doing so much to to help uh the guys have a great experience uh of course having the drip having the swag that they need uh but it's just going to be a fun experience and a a great time uh but thanks to all of of the people with the help that is going to be helping me out with it.

Speaker 7 But I'm excited to show the world

Speaker 7 the Elite 18 that's going to come to flight school.

Speaker 1 Oh, Elite 18.

Speaker 1 Okay, who grabbed the top 18? Flight school, June 6th through the 9th, high school invite wide receiver camp alongside Justin Jefferson. And we assume many others are going to pour back into it.

Speaker 1 I'm just now seeing this particular graphic.

Speaker 1 Google is far. Yeah, that is sick.

Speaker 1 Appreciate it, man. Appreciate it, man.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 That's what I like to hear.

Speaker 1 I didn't know your beard was that prompt. The mustache.
Is that you on the top there? Yes. Looking left.
Yeah.

Speaker 7 Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Look at the mustache pretty thick. That's strong.
Yeah, that's a strong mustache, dude.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 7 That y'all are growing.

Speaker 1 All right. We appreciate the hell out of you, man.
Keep killing it. This is very cool.
Thank you for giving back to the sport.

Speaker 7 Always, man. Love.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you too, man. Ladies and gentlemen, Justin Jefferson.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 It's a good mustache.

Speaker 1 He's the man. He was looking left, and I was like, the top?

Speaker 4 Yeah.

Speaker 1 I was like, is that a different

Speaker 12 someone else on there?

Speaker 1 Well, I didn't know. He got two pictures of himself.

Speaker 1 That's an interesting decision. But I didn't know his mustache was that thing.
I mean, he's got a thick mustache going on.

Speaker 1 That would have been an interesting, that would have been an interesting decision. Today's show is brought to you by SeatGeek, the best ticket buying platform on planet Earth and the moon.

We appreciate it. Shout out to SeatGeek.

Speaker 1 AJ, great to see you back, man. How you doing?

Speaker 12 Doing well, man. Yeah, it's been a while, but it's crazy how much can happen even in like two days.
Like the first two or three days were off. It's like all kind of stuff just pops off, I feel like.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I mean, you go all the way back to the break.

Speaker 1 The Four Nations happened, which I was, I'm hanging out with my family, having a blast, thinking about new things for the first time long time resting doing it all like just breathing for the first time basically since football season started and then this four nations starts popping up and it's like

Speaker 1 man i wish we were talking about this

Speaker 1 i wish we had a chance to chat about it and then obviously with the combine coming back last week so many things happened so many people stopped by did you hear about rap report and schultze

Speaker 12 Yes, I did. That was

Speaker 12 not concerned. I mean, I think this is good.
Good little rivalry is good for any sport. Anything you're doing, I think.

Speaker 1 Yeah, because what's going on there? You think, is Schultze trying to nip at the heels? Oh, yeah. Right? Is that what Schultz is saying? Yeah.
Chomping. Yeah.

Speaker 1 He's like, hey, listen, there's a couple big names out there in the insider game. I just want to let you know I'm here.

Speaker 1 And maybe there were some things being said behind the scenes, you know, in conversations that may be linked back to somebody. Hopefully there's some communication diatribe between these two.

Speaker 1 And, you know, maybe they'll be able to move along. Dialogue.
I mean, maybe two diatribes for the dialogue in the entirety. That was obviously.
something.

Speaker 1 And then these freak athletes, AJ, these freaks, what was the guy's name I don't miss, which is a school I think we're allowed to say. Oh, sure.
I think we're allowed to even say the school.

Speaker 1 I don't know if you heard about this or not.

Speaker 1 Yeah, we alluded to something without saying any names. Well, I was just saying, allegedly, it was the number one story in the world, basically, on the internet.
So we alluded to it.

Speaker 1 I thought it was brilliant. People said it was wrong.
Nonetheless, hope everybody's okay, Dunner. Hope everybody's okay.
I know. Okay.
Yeah, yeah. I know what's going on.

Speaker 1 Yeah, we showcased some empathy, too. I don't know if a lot of others did that.
I don't know if that was being mentioned.

Speaker 1 Some terrible, terrible things were being said about me, but there was a guy. He's a D-tackle.
His name's J-J. J-J-Hole.
P-E-G-U-E-S.

Speaker 1 So we don't know if that's Pegs, Pagoos, Pagus, Pagaz, Peguez,

Speaker 1 Plugs.

Speaker 1 Maybe it's just...

Speaker 2 Peguas.

Speaker 1 Maybe it's just Peg too, and everything else is silent behind it. Pig Peg.
Nonetheless, this dude, D-Tackle, have you seen any of these clips of this guy? And who else impressed this weekend, AP Tone?

Speaker 1 Yeah, starting on Thursday, Landon Jackson out of Arkansas. He's a big 6'6 ⁇ , 270 guy who jumped 40 inches, ran a sub-4'7,

Speaker 1 which is incredible for a defensive end.

Speaker 1 Tennessee, defensive end, James Pierce ran a 4'7, which was huge for him. He's gonna be the number two edge off the board, most likely behind Abdul Carter.

Speaker 1 And then on Thursday, Shamar Stewart was the talk because of the numbers he put up. Now, he didn't put up those numbers on the field, but at the combine, he put up, you know.

Speaker 1 6'6, 270, jumped 40,

Speaker 1 10-11 broad, 4'6 in the 40, which is just, you know, like a lot of people were saying, I said those are Miles Garrett numbers at the combine. They are.
Did he do it on the field? No, but just absurd.

Speaker 1 And then you go to Friday. Terrence Ferguson had a great day.
Mason Taylor had a great day. Those are two tight ends.

Speaker 1 The safety out of South Carolina, Nick Eamon Warrior, 6'3, 221 with a 43-inch vert. 4-3-8.
Can you imagine

Speaker 1 having that debut? Yeah, that's ridiculous. Yeah, well, D-Butch, what did you run here at 40 at? 4-4-1.

Speaker 4 What do you say? 43?

Speaker 1 43. Same vert.
Same vert. You had a 43-inch vert? Yeah, 43.
Goddamn. Ah-ha, brother.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's what they called him. Aha.

Speaker 1 Yeah, bunnies, brother. Also in that group, Maxwell Harrison, the DB out of Kentucky, he ran a 4-2-8 and had a 39.5-inch vert.
So he's potentially a first-rounder now.

Speaker 1 And then D-Buts guy, Jade Barron, 4-3-9 out of Texas.

Speaker 4 Big, big, physical, good-looking DB. I like him all-around DB.

Speaker 1 AJ, you obviously, did you do anything at the Kanban? I don't recall.

Speaker 12 Yeah, I did everything.

Speaker 1 Except for the medical. You just were very difficult in the medical department.

Speaker 12 No, I did every, all that was required of me. I did all the MRIs and everything.
I just didn't, I did not volunteer any extra information about things that may have been painful.

Speaker 12 And if they didn't find a surgery on my record, then I did not update them.

Speaker 1 That's on them, not on you. Obviously, they have a job to do.
You have a job to do as well. You're trying to get to the NFL.

Speaker 1 There's more and more players opting out of doing these workouts so anytime we see any of these freak numbers we must be grateful for it and i think we should put it over yeah i was happy speaking about guys that were opting out a lot of the ohio state guys opted out of doing stuff but the running backs did go and the running backs had a big day on saturday all of the running backs performed well but one of the best ones was the running back out of ohio state quinshawn jutkins who went six foot 220 ran a 448, had a 38 and a half inch vert.

Speaker 1 So like when he does that at that weight, like that jumps him up.

Speaker 1 And then the guy out of UNCOMarion Hampton had the same exact height, same exact weight, but also ran a 4-4-6, so a little bit quicker. And I know D-Butt loves him.

Speaker 4 Very, very productive. One of those backs.

Speaker 1 You love it, man. You love it.

Speaker 1 Do you? Look, he might be the first guy off the board. First guy.

Speaker 1 Don't be crazy.

Speaker 4 Absolute freak show. He's a dog, a record-breaking running back.
But this guy, we know how valuable the pass game is on the next level. He's special.
I mean, but both of these guys are special.

Speaker 4 I'm glad the running backs are coming back to a point. We may get two, maybe even three in the first round again.

Speaker 1 Whoa. Yeah, and I don't know if that was a talent issue or if it was just a strategy issue from NFL teams.

Speaker 1 But now that the Philadelphia Eagles have won it, a lot more teams are in a monkey see, monkey do, copycat league, just like Tyrese Halliburton was talking about, well, we've become a three-point shooting league because the champions have been three-point shooting teams.

Speaker 1 So it's a copycat league. What you see the best team do, you're going to try to do.
The Philadelphia Eagles, they were a run-first team. They were an offensive line team.

Speaker 1 They were a running back-led team. And whenever you think about about that and other teams are like, why don't we do that? That seems to be sustainable.

Speaker 1 And they had been having success investing in the offensive line. They had been having success being a O-line, D-line, Howey team, but they hadn't got to the mountaintop.

Speaker 1 So although we can all say they had had success and it seems to be a good formula, around the NFL, it's like, well, they have one Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 So until that team can be the best team, we don't want to hear about it. Now that team is the best team, and that formula is becoming the formula.

Speaker 1 So Quinshawn Jutkins transfers from Ole Miss to go to Ohio State, had more yards than Trayvion Trayvion Henderson, even though everybody was saying Trayvion Henderson was the guy.

Speaker 1 He was, he had a good weekend as well. Yeah, he ran four fours as well.
Ohio State, hey, they're saying Will Howard did not do it anyway. AJ, they're saying he did that.

Speaker 12 That's what I hear. I mean, that's the, I guess that's the risk you take throwing at the combine.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and Shador Sanders, shout out to Shador coming out and saying, like, Stude just won a national championship, man. He didn't know any of these wide receivers.

Speaker 1 He's throwing gold balls to guys running 4-7s. He was throwing the Igbuka and Tate and Jeremiah Smith.
These guys are NFL guys.

Speaker 1 He got them throwing to insurance guys and

Speaker 1 his timing is off. And everybody wants to burn him.
It's basically what Shador Sanders said in this entire tweet, but it's very real. I did not get a chance to watch it live in real time.

Speaker 1 I did watch it back later. It started out bad.

Speaker 1 It started out not good. And the louder it gets and the more chatter, the more people are going to tell their guys not to throw at this, you know?

Speaker 1 Like Will Howard's Pro Day, I assume, is going to be great. I assume Will Howard's Pro Day is going to be incredible.
That's what I'm guessing because everybody's is.

Speaker 1 But yeah, I mean, I guess what he put out there, not everybody's saying was fantastic. There were some highlights.
They were cherry-picked, of course. Sure.

Speaker 1 But there are some people saying bad day for Will Howard. I don't know if that's true.

Speaker 4 I feel like it definitely wasn't a great day, even from the testing standpoint. And speaking of testing quarterbacks, I think Milro should have ran to 40.

Speaker 1 I think, you know, that's what

Speaker 4 separated him from a lot of guys, his physical attributes. But a guy like Will Howard, I would think, kind of had to get out of there and throw.

Speaker 4 And then, you know, the top guys, they definitely have the option. And if you are a top guy, if I'm an agent, I'm definitely going to tell you not to throw.

Speaker 4 There's nothing you can gain from that, especially if you've already put out the film. But where does DJ have have like Will like third or fourth round?

Speaker 1 I don't know. That's not good.
Oh, exactly.

Speaker 1 That's what you're asking.

Speaker 2 That's what he wanted to see.

Speaker 3 Yeah, I mean, like he said, like, you know, him going out there and completing a bunch of passes isn't necessarily the important thing. You just want to see how the NFL ball comes out of his hands.

Speaker 3 So, like you said, I mean, he's going to turn around and go on his pro day, and we might be having like a Zach Wilson, like, hey, Will Howard went 55 of 55, and he's doing all...

Speaker 3 I'm not saying they're the same guy because I don't believe that.

Speaker 1 That's a way Debutch over here, first day back, saying, I've been listening to you talk about this, Will Harrigan. What?

Speaker 1 A lot of people have been telling me the same thing, D.Butch. I've been getting a lot of tweets from people saying, this is your...
This is your king.

Speaker 4 Yeah, but he saw him live, too.

Speaker 2 He saw what he did in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 It's the same thing.

Speaker 1 It was tough, too, because, you know, Jackson Dart threw well in that group. Quinn threw well in that group.
Brady Cook looked pretty good in that group.

Speaker 1 He just didn't look as good as those guys. Yeah, but look at the arm strength.
Look at the arm strength. Overthrew.

Speaker 1 That was a dime. Oh, this is, I'm sorry, this is Jackson Dart.
Jackson Dart threw very well, which I think at Ole Miss he was able to showcase a lot.

Speaker 1 Some people are saying maybe he ends up at Pittsburgh, but Jeremy Fowler put out a post that said, hey, the Pittsburgh Steelers are leaning Justin Fields. Speaking of Ohio State quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 Now that the Matthew Stafford domino has fallen, Aaron Rodgers, I think all eyes on him next. Allegedly, via a report from Schefter, the New York Giants were interested in Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 AJ, have you heard anything of the sort, or did you have no service while you're out on the Buckeye,

Speaker 1 drunk eye, potential cuckey, cruise? Whoa.

Speaker 1 Whoa, whoa, whoa. We don't know.
We don't know.

Speaker 12 I have not heard anything about Aaron to the Giants.

Speaker 12 I just, yeah, I mean, that is a bit interesting to think, like, what would it look like if Aaron did did go to the Giants and play for them? What does their team look like then?

Speaker 1 So he would be able to stay in the same house. We all know how much everybody hates moving.
True. Everything worse.

Speaker 1 Moving absolutely stinks.

Speaker 1 And if you look at the end of the year with Aaron and then Devontae Adams is being reported, nobody's heard from Devontae or Devontae's people, but everybody's just assuming that Devontae, whenever he gets released from the Jets, if they can't find a trade partner, which is like 38 million or something like that, if they can't find a trade partner and he gets released, he's just going to go with Aaron Rogers wherever they go.

Speaker 1 So there's just a tag team going wherever. That's just kind of being assumed right now on the internet.

Speaker 1 I don't think we've heard anything from anybody that in Devontae's camp that that is necessarily true.

Speaker 3 He did have like kind of a tongue-in-cheek thing where he said he would, you know, like certainly consider maybe going back to Green Bay and ending his career there.

Speaker 3 And that's just as like a Packers fan, obviously.

Speaker 1 And Aaron's not going there.

Speaker 4 Who knows?

Speaker 1 Maybe he does. Oh,

Speaker 1 he does. Maybe he does.
Maybe

Speaker 3 competition is great for everybody. You know, that's what we're hearing that here in town.

Speaker 1 Competition is great for everybody.

Speaker 3 Whatever happens, I just same. I mean,

Speaker 3 it will stink if the Giants are the only opportunity he has to be a starter somewhere.

Speaker 1 Let's talk about Aaron here. Yeah, Aaron.

Speaker 3 I just

Speaker 3 don't know how that ends well.

Speaker 3 I mean, I guess if you're Shane and Dable, like they kind of are coaching for their job, so you don't really want to trade up and draft one of these rookie quarterbacks and put all your chips into that basket because if then that guy's not the savior, then you're probably shit out of luck.

Speaker 3 But I just, I don't know, you look at their roster and like they do have some good pieces, but we looked at the Jets roster and we're like, hey, this is like a potentially a Super Super Bowl team.

Speaker 3 And I don't think you look at that with the Giants and think that. So I hope he lands on his feet somewhere and gets an opportunity.
I just really hope it's not with the Giants.

Speaker 2 A cool thing with the Giants, that could happen because it would kind of stink just the New York teams and the New York media dealing with it. But at least his stamp could be on it for longer.

Speaker 2 Like if the Giants do end up with Rodgers, and for sure, Dayball and Shane are coaching for this year. And if they're not good this year, then they might be done.

Speaker 2 So, you know, their number one priority might not be a young quarterback.

Speaker 2 But if they go with Rodgers and then also take, you know, a Shador or a Cam Ward with their draft pick, then all of a sudden it's like, hey, it's your team for a year.

Speaker 2 And then going forward the years after, like, you're going to get credit for the guy that comes behind you.

Speaker 2 Like Jordan Love with the Packers, I feel like Rodgers still gets, you know, a little credit for the reason that the Packers have had this seamless transition is because of the time Jordan Love had behind him.

Speaker 2 And then He might have that same opportunity with the Giants where he signs, you know, a one-year deal, kind of goes out on a high note, and also gives, you know, the keys over to a Shador or Cam Wolf.

Speaker 1 What was the stat on the Giants? Two and nine last year in one score games? Is that what it was, Bruce, or is it worse than that? Or was it like one and nine or something like that?

Speaker 13 I think it was that at one point. You know, we were playing competitively in the first half of the season when we had Andrew Thomas.
We were losing close games.

Speaker 13 And then obviously, you know, around Thanksgiving, what everybody remembers, Tommy DeVito, Drew Locke, it all fell apart. But, you know, I think nine wins is a realistic expectation.

Speaker 1 All right.

Speaker 1 Jesus Jesus Christ with the booze down. Knocking it down.
Is that booze? With Rodgers. Ooh, juice.
Is that oost juice, man?

Speaker 1 Zoa back there. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Bruce? Is that your Ooostuce? No, no, it's Gumpy's Ooh. Oh, Gumpy's pledging his allegiance, it does appear.

Speaker 1 Drinking some oost juice, some Zoa. Oh, yeah.
Okay.

Speaker 1 Malik Neighbors is there, obviously. I don't know enough about the entirety of the roster because there was no reason to watch their games towards the end of the year.

Speaker 1 They were completely out of it, way out of it. A lot of conversation about the hard knocks offseason.

Speaker 1 We heard from people at the Giants at Combine, I don't know if you heard about this, where they said, hey, Fair, you had to do what you had to do.

Speaker 1 With the way we talked about the Hard Knocks thing,

Speaker 1 they wanted us to know, hey,

Speaker 1 you had to do what you, we saw it to. Yeah, it's

Speaker 1 far, no foul. That was pretty cool to hear in it.
But then whenever Schefter breaks that news, you immediately go like, is that what Aaron? I don't know. It's interesting.

Speaker 1 You think about Dayball, Dayball's obviously had success multiple different times in the NFL.

Speaker 12 Is Cleveland an option? Are the Browns an option? Well,

Speaker 1 now we're in Tannenbaum proposes wild trade season. Yes, we are.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. So Deshaun Watson and his contract, it's actually going to Los Angeles Rams.
They'll eat that to get Miles Garrett, just like they were able to do with Matthew Stevens. That makes it.

Speaker 1 Yep, we're in that time. Now, with that being said, Tannenbaum did say Justin Fields, right?

Speaker 1 Wasn't he the one before, whenever we thought Justin Fields was the only untouchable with the Chicago Bears, because he was the only one that had any highlights throughout an entire year, Tanenbaum's first thing was like, they need to trade Justin Fields.

Speaker 1 They need to do this. They need to keep the pick.
They need to, yada, yada, yada. He was the first one that said, move on from Justin Fields.

Speaker 1 So every once in a while, Tanenbaum is going to take a massive. Sure.
I mean, he's going to take that thing

Speaker 1 all the way around like that Japanese golfer guy that I watched the

Speaker 1 beautiful range. Beautiful range.
Oh, I know. So smooth.
So smooth. But that's like Tanenbaum is going to do that with a baseball batter once in a while.

Speaker 1 This one seemingly absurd. But the Cleveland Browns quarterback situation is one that is a very real convo.
What do they decide to do?

Speaker 1 Do they take one of these quarterbacks who are potentially going to go on a very small salary? He was a veteran like Russell Wilson.

Speaker 1 who did for the Pittsburgh Steelers last year, where he charged them $1 million to be their quarterback and $48 million was charged back to Denver or whatever it was, 38, 48, 58, whatever, 80 some, whatever it was in the all.

Speaker 1 It's like, do the Browns try to do that?

Speaker 1 Is Aaron going to be that guy because he's getting paid from the Jets? Is he going to take, like, what is Kirk Cousins' situation?

Speaker 1 They're thinking they're going to keep him, but everybody's like, are they really going to? It's like, all these things are massive question marks.

Speaker 1 But Jeremy Fowler says Steelers leaning towards fields. Giants wanted Stafford bad.
Now they're gauging all options. Not everyone in the league convinced Falcons cut Cousins.

Speaker 1 Okay, so there's a chance he stays. Carson Wentz, maybe he becomes the chief veteran quarterback for the Browns.
Would be awesome. Oh, yes.
In Cleveland.

Speaker 1 Imagine him bouncing on that elf in the middle of that. James to Carson.
They're throwing up and doing. I mean, that is football heaven.
And then Daniel Jones being in the mix.

Speaker 1 Obviously, he was on the Vikings' tail end of last year, but other teams that want a veteran quarterback to be able to get him.

Speaker 1 And how cheap can you get all these guys is a massive question, a part of it.

Speaker 2 Yeah, and for the Browns, Shefty did tell us, I think, last week, like, hey, the Browns are taking a quarterback at two.

Speaker 2 So the Carson Wentz thing kind of makes sense if that's the type of quarterback they're looking for. Like a bridge, like

Speaker 2 maybe even like a Mariota before Jaden Daniels just took off.

Speaker 1 So what? Deshaun just

Speaker 1 in street clothes or not even at the game? I don't know because his Achilles, he did his Achilles again.

Speaker 1 And they're saying he's not going to be healthy, right? Yeah.

Speaker 2 He's rehabbing all year next year.

Speaker 1 So is he even at the games? Probably not. No.
Why would you have?

Speaker 3 I mean, why would you have him there?

Speaker 1 What a trade. My God.
What a trade.

Speaker 1 Isn't that crazy? The worst thing.

Speaker 12 Change the face of the NFL.

Speaker 12 Change the course of the NFL.

Speaker 4 Everything.

Speaker 1 Guaranteed. Mulligeta.
I'll tell you. What they would do.
No outs, no outs anyway. Texans got Stroud and Will Anderson.
Not to do it. not your deal right yeah texans win big big

Speaker 1 they win but a lot of people are talking about um cousins to the browns just because stefanski was with him at the vikings and they had such success there at the vikings and if they needed cheap quarterback and when flacco was uh playing pretty similar style to kirk cousins yeah they had a lot of success were able to make it to the playoffs obviously in a run that none of us could have even fathomed and kirk potentially in the middle of doing one of those deals where it's like yeah i'll take a million bucks because i'm making 28 from somewhere else yeah that's where like that cut report from Fowler is so like vital to Cleveland success because if they don't cut them, they legitimately can't pay quarterbacks more money.

Speaker 2 They can't do it.

Speaker 1 It is impossible.

Speaker 2 They'll completely cripple their entire team even more.

Speaker 1 It'd be hilarious. I hope they do it, but still, it's Miles Garrett not even open to negotiations.

Speaker 1 What a scene in Cleveland. Take me out of here.
Take me out of here.

Speaker 2 Tenzo Ward saying like, yeah, if they trade Miles Garrett like that, I want to get traded too.

Speaker 1 And he's like their other best player are they gonna be able to field a team next year might be a ufl squad speaking of have you heard on rap hey jay

Speaker 1 yeah they're uh they're holding out some guys striking striking the uh yeah holding out i guess um the 130th to 150th ranked quarterbacks uh at the professional level are striking or holding out from the ufl training camp because they're commanding more money and uh 55 000 i think was something uh that was mentioned in a report These quarterbacks want more money.

Speaker 1 And I think the report out of the UFL last year is that they lost $100 million.

Speaker 2 We don't got the money.

Speaker 1 I want more money, too.

Speaker 1 So good luck to all parties over there. We'd like to see some spring ball.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 We'd like to see spring highlights. We watch it every week.
Spring kicks. We'd like to see some spring kicks.
As long as the kickers are playing, I think we got highlights coming out of the UFL.

Speaker 1 That's the problem. Bait slash Jake Bait.
That's the problem.

Speaker 1 That's the problem.

Speaker 4 If we're leaning off the kicking the highlights,

Speaker 1 the issue is

Speaker 1 the NFL holds on to like five quarterbacks right now. Kicker's only one on the roster

Speaker 1 or two. So you're at like 33 in the world as opposed to 120 in the world at that position.
So there's a chance you can get some good ones.

Speaker 1 Nonetheless, we'll continue on YouTube, ESPN Plus, Disney Plus, and TikTok Live. We'll see you tomorrow.
Monday Night Raw tonight from Buffalo on Netflix. What a great promo there at the end.

Speaker 1 Just really promoted it like a professional. Makes you feel like good, you know?

Speaker 2 It's going to be a good one, too. I'm pumped up for tonight.

Speaker 1 Dude, fresh out of Elimination Chamber and everything that happened. The UFL convo, though, what you just chatted about with the kickers of the conversation, that's the issue.
That's the real deal.

Speaker 1 These NFL teams all have four or five quarterbacks. Yep.
And every young quarterback that's good is going, or potentially good, is going to the NFL. So they can't join the UFL.

Speaker 1 So it's like, what level of competition? You have OGs. Remember AJ McCarron? Yeah.
One played in there.

Speaker 1 And then there's some guys that have become like spring football legends, like the kid that was on St. Louis originally.
Then

Speaker 1 Heineke was

Speaker 1 his backup, Tayamu, Jordan Jordan, Tayamu.

Speaker 1 Like, there's a couple guys that are like spring football legends at this point, but like to get super high-quality football players at that position, the NFL has it all gobbled up for opportunity right now.

Speaker 1 It's tough, it's very, very tough to run a spring league, I think.

Speaker 3 No wonder the final boss is so fucking pissed off.

Speaker 1 I didn't even think about that.

Speaker 1 Losing $100 million, he's got all the quarterbacks out there. I don't know if it was $100.

Speaker 1 It was reported as like

Speaker 1 lost everything.

Speaker 3 He made a sizable investment into this and lost a lot.

Speaker 1 He only made 90%. Now all his goddamn quarterbacks are on the picket line.

Speaker 1 No wonder he's pissed off. I don't know how it works out.
But as soon as I read that the quarterbacks are striking, I'm like, read the rooms.

Speaker 1 You guys are lucky to be able to get it. Are they striking for everybody, though?

Speaker 12 Are they striking? They want everybody's base pay to go up or just the quarterback?

Speaker 2 I think it's just a quarterback.

Speaker 1 Just QB. Finally,

Speaker 2 he might roll out Cena to throw the first pass this year.

Speaker 1 He might make Cena the lead quarterback for the Argos or whoever the hell is it now. Oh, Argos or Canadian.

Speaker 2 The Vipers. Yeah, the Brahmins.

Speaker 1 We're not talking about that right now because everything that happened and the things that have been said. Yeah.
A lot of things have been said.

Speaker 2 I get those teams mixed up. The bullshit leagues I get mixed.

Speaker 1 Whoa, whoa, whoa. CFL is a historic league.
Yeah, respect.

Speaker 1 A lot of greats have played in the CFL. UFL? TBD.
TBD.

Speaker 1 I'm telling you.

Speaker 1 Hey, haven't we tried? We've tried to get into the spring leagues.

Speaker 3 It's just hard.

Speaker 1 XFL, USFL, U-U-U-FL. Yep.

Speaker 12 And now they've combined. They're all the UFL now? Is that what it is?

Speaker 1 Yeah, Fox and ESPN both TV partner. And they're like, that's a great deal.
In theory, football, both networks should do well. Yeah.
But instead, you turn it on. It's like, all right.
The hell am I?

Speaker 1 Is there a lot of people?

Speaker 12 Also, to be fair, though, I didn't, I mean, maybe I'm living under a rock. I wasn't sure the league was happening until I heard that these guys were holding out.
I didn't really know.

Speaker 1 We didn't know year two was around the corner either.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 Now we do. I do appreciate that they didn't start immediately after the Super Bowl.
They gave us some time to like miss ball.

Speaker 1 Remember, they went straight from Super Bowl into Spring League, and it was like, we just watched Patrick Mahomes versus Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley, and now we're watching, okay, it's going to be tough.

Speaker 1 This is going to be tough to take seriously, okay? I know you guys want an opportunity. Football, more football is good football.

Speaker 1 But what we just watched for like the last six months versus what we're currently watching, it'll be difficult to kind of, even with the college teams, the way these college teams have been playing with how how good this college ball is so i like that they took a little bit of a break here to your point forgot about it completely until i heard that they were holding out or striking or whatever and it's like i hope they get it handled i do it'd be cool if the nfl made uh every team's second stringer be the quarterback in the ufl yeah and then one injury happens and yep everybody's sued third stringer everyone's third stringer everybody's fourth stringer even that's the thing like at this point the rosters are what 100 and whatever it is the nfl rosters yeah Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah. And they're stacked.
Well, if they're all carrying three quarterbacks. At least.

Speaker 2 Take the pads off.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 Let's get physical.

Speaker 2 Let's get violent.

Speaker 2 Let's do that lead that we saw.

Speaker 1 Oh, amateur. The semi-pro.
Yeah, the semi-pro. Six beers to everyone before they start.
Sure. That can be your rule, too.
Or just. A couple of beers.
A couple of beers. Territories

Speaker 1 these days. Yeah, watch that.
Hey, Shane. Way to go, brother.
So good. Yeah, so good.
Proud of you, Shane.

Speaker 1 Shane Dillis just went in there and did it.

Speaker 1 Rolls back the hand of time. Comedy.
Seemingly what he does.

Speaker 1 Drops into Saturday Night Live, has some of the greatest skits they've ever had, and then says, I'll see you later with a great mustache right now. No, it's cooked.

Speaker 1 He is starting, the hair is very thick, the mustache very thick. Very attractive right now.
Starting to look like a nice 45-year-old professional adult.

Speaker 1 You know, a couple of beers can solve a lot of things for a lot of people, especially Shane, as we know. Correct.
That's kind of that conversation

Speaker 1 around him. That was method acting, I do believe,

Speaker 1 for Shane. Opening monologue, monologue, good.
Great. A couple callbacks and a seven-minute monologue.
I don't think that's necessarily easy.

Speaker 1 A lot of people call him a big dumb dip shit saying he lost it. It's like actually much harder to do what he did.
Proud of you, Shaneo.

Speaker 1 Representing football. Representing football out there.

Speaker 1 And the troops. And the troops.
Amen. Two weeks or whatever.

Speaker 1 Whatever the case. Signed up.
Thought he was the right guy. Decided he wasn't.
That's how much respect he has for them. Nobody ever talks about it from that angle.

Speaker 1 You want to talk about football, guys. I saw Jesse Palmer covering the Oscars yesterday.
I'm like, shout out to the football guy on the red carpet. His range is unbelievable.
Yeah, so attractive.

Speaker 1 Unbelievable. And his information on all these movies and stuff, I'm like, oh, he must have just been given a packet before this whole thing.
I assume. Because I don't know how you're able to have.

Speaker 1 He was great. Omar, the guy that runs the social media channels.

Speaker 1 What's he doing out there? What's he doing? He's hosting. He's hosting.

Speaker 12 I saw him. Is he doing like red carpet interviews?

Speaker 1 He looked very natural on a microphone, so that makes sense.

Speaker 3 He presented Best Picture, didn't he?

Speaker 1 Did he?

Speaker 1 I i think so they're saying he actually owned the red carpet how's that he walked the distance of it i heard i heard and watched i don't know how that happens i i don't know how that happens but go for him taking advantage of the opportunity fantastic

Speaker 1 opportunity

Speaker 1 why did it take you so long is a real question yeah there's 600 hosts that are paid to be on microphones that i would assume you know around uspn that would be like uh jump at the opportunity to host the fucking oscars you know in this entire thing so for the guy that runs the social media to be like i could do it i'm the one to do it that's an interesting move but i appreciate the moxie you know i appreciate the moxie out of omar sure tag himself and the whole thing got you

Speaker 2 should who knows if that opportunity is going to come back around hey congrats omar

Speaker 1 take advantage of it take advantage we don't know that yeah you have no idea

Speaker 1 you have no idea i haven't seen the numbers i have not you know no not it doesn't matter i mean that's like the most i'm not gonna say it i'm not gonna say it might be in the next best picture film there's a chance yeah maybe he was omar out of water doing a little scouting.

Speaker 1 Yeah, maybe he was shaking some hands.

Speaker 1 It was a hell of a play. That's what ESPN was representing at there.
Then I saw Jesse Palmer on it. I was like, all right, good.
We do got some sports people here at the Oscars doing their thing.

Speaker 1 And what happened at the Oscars? I fell asleep. I saw Conan do his thing.
I saw it came out of Demi Moore. I didn't expect that.
I'll tell you that. That was certainly a start to it all.

Speaker 1 I appreciated the wicked ladies doing what they did at the beginning. Sandman.
Adam Sandler being Adam Sandler. Classic.
I like Shaloman. I loved everything.

Speaker 1 I know the movie. Everything about that? That's kind of the problem.

Speaker 1 Yeah, what was everything else that kind of took place? I know you are like a film nut, if you will.

Speaker 3 For sure, but the last several years, and obviously, like having a couple young children kind of changes things because you can't really see as many of these movies or don't have time.

Speaker 3 But it's just so many of the movies are like, unless you're like a die-hard film buff, like you're just not seeing them. Anora won best picture, best actress, best director.

Speaker 1 It's Bingo.

Speaker 3 It kind of, I think, shocked a lot of people, but it's like a very artsy thing. Like, I don't know.

Speaker 3 I'm sure we could have, but it's one of those things where, like, a lot of these movies anymore, it's like they get released and it's like they have the, like, you can see them in New York and you can see them in L.A.

Speaker 3 And then if you're lucky, when they start to get like Oscar buzz, like they'll release them nationwide and we'll be able to see them here like several times.

Speaker 1 Oh, so they're literally saying, fuck the middle of America.

Speaker 3 Kind of, kind of. And I don't know if that's the situation with this one, but like

Speaker 1 me neither. I popped up last night and I was like, well, I feel like I'm, at least on the internet, like someone in the know, never even heard of this thing.

Speaker 1 No. Never even heard of it.

Speaker 3 And I think a lot of people too were like pissed off because like Dune 2 is a movie that like most of America saw. It was like a big box office.

Speaker 3 You know, Chalamet obviously is super hot right now, but that's kind of one of the things where like the Academy's like, fuck it. Like we're not giving best picture to a movie like this.

Speaker 3 Like this is kind of our thing. We don't need something that everybody saw and everyone's going to get pissed about.

Speaker 3 And it's going to be the only movie that a lot of people saw out of this Oscar batch so like not surprised that a movie like a Nora won but I think that's also kind of the the problem with the Oscars is like it really kind of

Speaker 3 it kind of excludes a lot of like the basic movie going people who would watch the Oscars because they've seen a couple of them yeah I'm not sure if I got God but didn't someone from the Academy say they didn't watch Dune

Speaker 2 they were like no that was true yeah allegedly

Speaker 1 yeah how is that even and then they'll grandstand on us they didn't even watch the the qualifying movies for their own awards Like the guy that didn't vote for Lamar for, you put him like fifth for MVP.

Speaker 1 Bingo, but he at least saw him and said he was doing it on purpose. You know, that was a spiteful day.
Did you see him? You're right. Is he blind? Is this man blind and deaf?

Speaker 1 This man can't hear or watch the games. The movies, though, it does feel like they.

Speaker 12 Did the Demi Moore movie get nominated for an Academy Award?

Speaker 3 That was actually, that was like the biggest upset of the movie. Did

Speaker 1 anyone watch that movie? No. I saw Connor O'Brien come cover back, so I think there's probably something that happens in the movie.
You're talking about

Speaker 12 Demi Morty, she's great. She is great.
And I watched it, and I, my wife, and I watched it, and we, it's the weirdest,

Speaker 1 it's just, it's not good at all.

Speaker 1 It's really poor. Like,

Speaker 12 we watched it, and we were waiting for it. Okay, this might this turn into something.
Here we go. And it got weirder and weirder and more bizarre, and then it ended.

Speaker 1 Is that the zone movie?

Speaker 12 I was blown away when I heard, like, I told when I told my wife, hey, I think that was up for like a golden globe back whenever that was.

Speaker 1 Yeah, she won.

Speaker 12 She almost hit me. She's like, you're, you always lie like what are you talking about like it's i didn't know that okay good for them it made it

Speaker 1 always lies let's go ahead and document that that's what his wife said well she thought i was messing with her when i said oh wait i got you know like some horrendous third movie that i thought i like hey it's actually up for an academy award she thought i was doing one of those oh b and age it actually is yeah i got it yeah to me more responsible win best actress watch it for that so you watched it we did not i only saw the open with conan coming out of her spine and then going back in i'm like oh i didn't know it was that type of i had no idea it was that type of movie Is that what's happening?

Speaker 1 There's somebody living inside of her?

Speaker 12 Yeah, she gets this like potion that she can shoot herself up. She's like an aging superstar.

Speaker 1 They started the Oscars with a needle, like going into the movie. It gets nasty.

Speaker 12 It's gross. Honestly, the movie gets like gross the more it goes and how they go, how you're trying to navigate going back and forth from the young body to your old body.

Speaker 12 It's okay. Yeah, it's great.
It's artsy.

Speaker 1 Zito is, I have a screen here. You know, we added a screen here for

Speaker 1 any breaking news to pop up, and it's a direct direct to Zito's computer. So, whatever pops up on Zito's computer is popping up on the screen right here.
These photos from this movie are something.

Speaker 12 It is gross. It's gross, man.
It gets like nasty.

Speaker 1 This is what Zito just popped up on the screen. This screen is.
Academy Awards.

Speaker 12 I couldn't believe. Like, we wanted to.
Yeah, I just, I don't know.

Speaker 1 I don't know how to describe it.

Speaker 1 Well, I appreciate the arts, and I appreciate people that are super creative and do their thing.

Speaker 1 She was great.

Speaker 12 Great to see Demi Moore do well. Like, she was great.

Speaker 1 And I love entertainment, and I like the creation of things, and and i like people being artsy and everything like i i legitimately do i appreciate and respect everybody's art but it's like for these awards like you got all of us watching i hate that they're almost doing it like in spite of us like because we like things because we're dumb because we're just dumb dufuses that like you know shoot-em-up movies that's what they think yeah so

Speaker 1 they are a good movie but like great isn't that what movies are for Isn't that what movies, aren't movies made to entertain people and be watched and things like that?

Speaker 3 Without a doubt.

Speaker 3 I just don't think there's not really, like now it's either like super artsy movies like that or it's like superhero movies there is like no in-between really in the theaters because they just don't make money so is netflix uh they're now being respected for the films that they are making um i think one of the movies last night like zoe's saldana uh she won best supporting actress i believe that was a netflix movie so that might be like the first kind of

Speaker 3 movement but in the past it's been like no fuck that like we're not uh coda a couple years ago was on Apple TV. That kind of changed it a little bit.

Speaker 3 But traditionally, they're giving Oscars to movies that are in the theaters, not just going right to the streamer.

Speaker 1 Roma. Roma won that one time.

Speaker 2 That was like a famous director. That was a Netflix movie.

Speaker 2 And then to your point about the archiness of it, I went to watch the movie that the guy who won Best Actor, Adrian Brody, he won Best of his movie.

Speaker 1 Nice mooch. Yeah, he did.
So he was sucking face with Halle Berry.

Speaker 2 Yeah, in front of his wife, and his wife was cheering him on. So even cooler.

Speaker 1 That movie's three and a half hours long.

Speaker 2 So I went to watch it, and it was three and a half hours.

Speaker 1 So you're an hour and a half in, there's no end in sight. I didn't even start it.
But if that's what shit, like,

Speaker 1 I'm not doing this. I'm not going golfing here.
Yeah, exactly. I'm just trying to squeeze in a movie before the Oscars and try and watch it.
But it's like, that's Oscar bait.

Speaker 3 You know, it's like about like

Speaker 3 a Jewish dude, like, post-World War II, who, you know, like, and it's a super long movie that, like, immediately the average person is going to see three and a half hours and be like, fuck that.

Speaker 3 I'm not watching it.

Speaker 1 Can they get like a People's Oscar then?

Speaker 3 They've talked about doing that best comedy.

Speaker 1 So at least we feel like we're a part of

Speaker 1 it. That's what the MTV movie awards are for.

Speaker 4 VMAs?

Speaker 1 You're talking about the VMAs? Band.

Speaker 1 Yeah, the little astronaut thing.

Speaker 1 Yeah, SAGs felt like they were trying to maybe entertain humans a little bit more. I think so.

Speaker 3 That's a little bit more fun, not as stuffy and pretentious.

Speaker 1 But the Oscars, this is just what they're known for, huh? Kind of. And I feel like

Speaker 3 as the conversation about movies and movie theaters being dead has kind of like come up a lot more in the last like five years or like since COVID, like they've, I think they've kind of firmed their stance on like, okay, well, like if no one's going to the movies, then fuck the, fuck the audience.

Speaker 3 Like let's just, let's do the shit that we like.

Speaker 1 We would like to say to the Academy that we'd like to shake their hands. Like we're going to watch your award shows.
Like we watch them and we appreciate all the work that goes into it.

Speaker 1 If you just think about us, like we watch, we would like to, you know, maybe rally behind a movie. They used to.

Speaker 1 You you know that has a chance to win just like teams you know you see a team early you don't know about bowman rally behind let's go win it's like it's hard to pay attention whenever it's like who is it and then my natural reaction is to start making fun of everybody you know like why why is timmy not winning all these awards the only guy i know he got robbed yeah and the bob dylan thing i i'm not a big like obviously i know of bob dylan i've heard his songs i know he's incredibly deep thinker i know he's a trailblazer but i i don't think anybody would consider me like bob dylan guy which i think a lot of Bob Dylan people thought that you would have to be a Bob Dylan person to enjoy that movie in its entirety or whatever.

Speaker 1 I watch it. I'm like, Scott feels like he nailed it.
Yes. This feels like he nailed it.
And then when everybody's like pushing him and then I meet him, I'm like, Scott's a superstar.

Speaker 1 This guy's an absolute superstar. And obviously, him and Sandman being able to hang like that, especially two hoopers like they are having that moment, that was like very relatable.
That felt good.

Speaker 1 It was like, this is the guy. Hey, don't win anything.
I don't win anything. That's the problem.
Just sitting up there, don't win anything.

Speaker 3 This is the guy. Like, I mean, they...

Speaker 1 So they don't like that others, like College Game Day, saying this is the guy. They're like, is that right? We'll be the ones.
There you go.

Speaker 3 There might be some, little, a little bit of that to it, but like, Leo, like, they made him wait forever.

Speaker 3 You know, like, a lot of people thought, like, he, he should have won best actor, you know, 20 years ago, and they just made him wait and wait and wait and wait.

Speaker 3 And then finally, he won it for a movie where everyone was like, well, you know, like, this is bullshit. They shouldn't have even won it for this one.

Speaker 3 But it's kind of just like, hey, you pay your dues and then, you know, you give your career to like the film industry.

Speaker 3 And then we'll kind of, we'll make it right at some point i'm not saying that's what's happening with timmy chalamay but i wonder if people get a little sour like because that he was you know the main character in dune one and dune two it's like this big you know temp pole like action movie franchise like i think complete unknown yeah exactly i think they kind of look so they get jaded at how good this guy is that's great for sure

Speaker 1 that can motivate you timmy even your own people don't want you to be great they don't want you to win You will though. You know why?

Speaker 1 Because you're looking up to Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, and the greats in the acting. I can't wait to watch it with that yellow suit.

Speaker 1 Yeah, clean.

Speaker 3 Yeah. Also, like, does it matter? You know, like, The Rock's never going to win an Oscar.
You just fucking make it.

Speaker 1 Cena will, though.

Speaker 3 Cena might. Cena might.

Speaker 1 Cena's like actual actor. Oh, yeah.
Like, very, very, not that The Rock isn't, but The Rock is in rock movies. Yeah.
You know, John Cena. He's an action star.
John Cena's like doing.

Speaker 12 He's got range.

Speaker 1 Big time range. Yeah.
Yeah. Did

Speaker 1 what was it?

Speaker 1 Vinicky?

Speaker 1 Ricky Stanicki. Ricky Stanicki? Was that up for the Oscars? No, it wasn't.
It wasn't. What? Yeah, crazy.
I know.

Speaker 3 Believe it or not, it wasn't. But that is why Cena has a chance because The Rock is never not going to be the star in one of his movies.
You know, like, he's not playing a bit part.

Speaker 1 Well, why wouldn't he? The guy who made $88 million off of Blockbuster. Exactly.
Number one. Did you see the red one, which everybody was talking about?

Speaker 2 Oh, man, I loved Red One.

Speaker 1 Did you see the video? It was the number one premiere in the history of Amazon or something like that. That was a great movie.
I saw it in the promo for The Rock during Elimination Chamber.

Speaker 1 They ran this video about The Rock and How Did We Get Here. And they had red one on the screen.
I'm like, I like this movie. Excited to see what they say.

Speaker 1 And they say, number one premiere in the history of Amazon or whatever it was on. It's like, of course.

Speaker 1 Million Dollar Global, Moana 2, this.

Speaker 1 You think he's going to be a co-star? Yeah, Moana 2.

Speaker 3 I say that, and I say he's not going to win an Oscar, but he is going to be in a movie with fucking Scorsese.

Speaker 1 True. Levio and Emily Beaver.

Speaker 3 So, like,

Speaker 1 there is a chance that he could. Go get it.

Speaker 2 Cena's going to win awards for Peacemaker season two coming out this summer.

Speaker 1 You're talking about being committed to whatever.

Speaker 1 Now, granted, he's committed to winning the 17th title. Love it.
Love it. Let's get to a break.
Damn it, John. Cena turned heel.
D-Bone had to make this graphic right here. Boom.
Cena turns heel.

Speaker 1 Cena turns heel.

Speaker 1 Had to.

Speaker 2 Had to make this graphic.

Speaker 1 He was doing this no matter what, just to have. He was sending group texts that I'm a part of during the Elimination Chamber.
Damn it, Cena. Stop putting over the younger talent.

Speaker 1 Go into business for yourself. Debone saying he did.

Speaker 1 Made the right decision. Absolute cinema.
He made the right decision. Cena certainly did.
That's what he's saying. That's what Debone was texting.

Speaker 1 I'm sitting there, and obviously, if shit comes near us or if anything's happening, I stand up, move. Phone's in front of me.
I pick it up. Group text.
D-bone has like five texts.

Speaker 1 I'm like, what's he saying? All right. We fucked him.

Speaker 1 Shit. That was awesome, man.
You and me. Way to tell the rock to go to hell.
Go fuck himself. We get sound on this video.

Speaker 2 trying to savage combat

Speaker 1 killed me.

Speaker 1 Oh no, more he says. Oh my god, John, what the hell are you doing?

Speaker 1 Well, Coley's taking a Rolex and punching him in the face. Always has a plan.
I was pretty jacked up in this moment. You shouldn't have to be.
I'll tell you what. What a moment to be sitting there.

Speaker 1 With pressed knuckles.

Speaker 1 It's a Rolex Cole.

Speaker 1 Cody could have had every Rolex he could have ever dreamed of, but instead, he's getting his ass beat and finds on Cena because the final boss said so.

Speaker 1 Oh, no. He's going to hit it with the mic.

Speaker 1 That's it. Just disrespect from Cena.
Damn it, John. On the American Nightmare, and Travis Scott's about to get his in, too.

Speaker 1 Travis Scott's about to get his in, too.

Speaker 2 He had the biggest shot of the night.

Speaker 1 Yes, he did. That's smacked in the face.
Holy shit. Holy shit.

Speaker 1 It's a hammer fist.

Speaker 1 I mean, like, actually. He just blew his eardrum.
He might be out.

Speaker 1 Don't tell me wrestling isn't real doubtful. Bro, I don't know if the American Nightmare has

Speaker 1 been smacked like that at some time. Well, no, because

Speaker 1 he didn't work as a champion. Well, he turns his head.
Holy shit, what the fuck, man?

Speaker 1 Let's get to a break on the other side. We'll uh wrap up all the news from around.
Oh, that's no fun.

Speaker 1 That's like Bianca Belair's a whip to live. Yeah,

Speaker 1 holy shit, man. I missed the mama roads.

Speaker 1 That elimination chamber, both of them. Was air turn, sound, sound, sound, sound.

Speaker 1 Oh,

Speaker 1 She's hanging on to it.

Speaker 1 And she collapses to the floor. She had a welt growing on her body as the match continued.

Speaker 1 And she kept like, obviously, anytime we tried to show it, she was like covering up because that has to hurt so bad. She posted the welts and the bruises that she's had since then.
It's like,

Speaker 1 damn.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you want to be a wrestler, huh? That's what people, you know, my dream is to be a professional wrestler. It's like,

Speaker 1 okay,

Speaker 1 about to get your fucking ass beat.

Speaker 1 That can happen out of nowhere. No, that's not how it goes, right? I've heard it's like, oh, yeah, yeah, well, go ahead and get in there.

Speaker 12 Then do it again two days later.

Speaker 1 Yeah, go ahead and get it. One? Yeah, not even.

Speaker 1 One day. Sometimes it's a whole thing.
What a show Elimination Chamber was from beginning to end. Lucky to be a part of it.

Speaker 1 Our wonderful way to catch on. That's AJ Hawk, fresh off a Buckeye Cruise.

Speaker 1 It's Talk Stables here at Boss Conner, and that's I Schmidt. One half of the Hammer.

Speaker 1 Cowboys AP Tone is here. And nine-year NFL vet, Darius J.
Butler's here looking

Speaker 1 incredibly cool. Compton Country Club.
Love the hat.

Speaker 4 Yeah, I love it too, man. Appreciate it.

Speaker 1 Have you ever been? Nope. Does it exist? Sure.

Speaker 1 You poser.

Speaker 1 What? He's supporting. Yeah, yeah.
He's showing support. We don't even know if it's true.

Speaker 1 You're talking about the CCC.

Speaker 1 You're talking about the. It's real.
With the what? The what?

Speaker 1 What's that?

Speaker 1 You're talking about the Compton Country Club. Yeah.
Yeah, it exists. Their mission is Compton Country Club

Speaker 1 initiative. It strives to improve the lives of Compton residents by offering affordable golf, fostering community through events and resources, and providing educational support.

Speaker 1 So, yeah, I'm cool with the CCC.

Speaker 2 Yeah, you know me.

Speaker 1 Yeah, absolutely. Great hat.

Speaker 4 Appreciate you. It is a clean hat.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and you're doing a lot for the community.

Speaker 4 Thanks for talking. Thanks for bringing that up.

Speaker 1 No problem, Compton. Sorry.
Sorry, we had to ruin your day. I did ruin my day.
I talked about it. Sorry, we had to ruin your day.

Speaker 1 Anyways, some NFL headlines that we have not chatted about, big ones, actually. Debo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers formerly has been traded to the Washington Commanders.

Speaker 1 Now, this is obviously a big deal because it only came for a fifth-round pick. Now, I believe Washington's picking up his money, so that is a part of the contract in conversation.

Speaker 1 $17.55 million for a top wide receiver. Jaden Daniels gets another weapon.
A lot of people are saying for a fifth-round pick, we could have got Debo Samuel. Fifth-round pick, $17.5 million.

Speaker 1 Now, there's going to have to be a new contract that's going to have to be discussed, we would assume.

Speaker 1 The commanders obviously understand the situation before they make the trade or finalize the trade. But Debo leaves San Fran.
Last year it was Ayuk, who might be on the move yet again.

Speaker 1 This year, it's Debo getting traded. The Niners always have something, seemingly, AJ.
What are your thoughts on a fifth-round pick for Debo Samuel?

Speaker 12 Yeah, it does not seem like you have to give up much to get Debo when you say, yeah, only a fifth-rounder. And then, so this is the last year on this contract, correct? Where they owe 17.55 mil? Yes.

Speaker 1 Is that right? Yes.

Speaker 12 And they were probably, yes, agree to a long-term contract. But yeah, I mean, I think this is a heck of a deal for Washington here.
And obviously, the Niners are going to do something with them.

Speaker 12 They, you know, whenever receivers get like, I don't know, how old is Debo? He's not old.

Speaker 1 29. He's 29 years old.
Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 12 Dang, that dude's still young. What a great pickup for Washington.
I like it.

Speaker 12 And it seems also like a change of scenery is what is needed, too, I think, to spark Debo, even though the guy is still awesome.

Speaker 1 Him and Terry McLaurin are quite a dog duo

Speaker 1 for Jaden Daniels going into year two with Cliff Kingsbury sticking around. So the same exact offense.
And anything we hear about Dan Quinn over there is he likes dogs. Like that's what he

Speaker 1 is a dog mentality person. Feels like Debo should fit in right away.
Have to get a deal done.

Speaker 1 But this feels like an easy trade for the commanders to pull the trigger on, but ship, ship, should be, should be good for him.

Speaker 4 He didn't have a great year last year. You know, I don't know how healthy he was, but did not have a great year last year.
So we'll see.

Speaker 4 We know around the league these skill positions, once you get to that 30 mark, still young to us, but a lot of people, the decision makers, they start to look at guys, okay, maybe they're falling off a cliff.

Speaker 4 But another weapon, Clint Kingsbury, this offense, a lot of hurry-up. So you get this guy, get screens, get him out in space.
He is a tough, tough, tough guy to tackle.

Speaker 4 And we know what Terry McLurion is down the field. And I would assume that they get even more firepower on the outside in this draft this year.

Speaker 4 So it should be an exciting offense that just continues to trend upward.

Speaker 1 All Cliff has to do is just give him slants. Yeah.
He's He's slant God.

Speaker 1 That is what Debo does. Get the ball in his hands.
Because he's a running back.

Speaker 1 Also has the ability to be a running back.

Speaker 1 That's not a slight, even though he might take it as a slight or people might say it's a slight. He's a wide receiver who can also play running back.

Speaker 1 So if you get the ball in his hands in traffic, he's not scared, first of all. And then his yak is normally absurd.

Speaker 1 Obviously, not this past season, but you're banking on him coming back to full form, especially with Jaden, who's been able to throw over the middle since he got to the league, which not every quarterback has the ability to do.

Speaker 2 Yeah, especially with Jaden Jaden on that contract. Like them getting Debo is awesome, but can you imagine if they go out and get another one?

Speaker 2 Like what Devontae and Cooper Cup both still out there, and Terry McLaurin has never in his entire career had a number two like Debo Samuels. So I assume Terry McLaurin is going to be way better.

Speaker 2 And also, you know, Debo didn't have a great year last year. Ayuk was hurt.
You know, Christian McCaffrey was hurt. Debo was kind of the focal point of the offense.
So everyone was focusing on him.

Speaker 2 And now you can't do that with Jaden Daniels, especially with Terry, but also him moving. And they got, you know, Brian Robinson Jr.

Speaker 2 like Washington really is now one of the top markets to go to, and they got a ton of cash space.

Speaker 1 I don't remember.

Speaker 1 Debo hates us. No, I don't think on receivers, he was watching the program.
No, he likes us

Speaker 1 on that documentary. You know, remember the last time he was on the show, he was like, wasn't that average? He was like super mad.
Wouldn't he say that?

Speaker 3 It was Super Bowl week and then just got beat. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 It was a James Cook situation.

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah. Okay.
Okay. Okay.

Speaker 4 And for San Francisco for them to give him up, you know, just get a fifth-round pick, you would have just seemed like, hey, they just wanted that money off the books.

Speaker 4 Going forward, the biggest question for San Fran is the health of Christian McCaffrey. If he's healthy, he makes that all, all go.

Speaker 1 What's that? They're paying Brock. Oh, yeah, he's so they're about to pay Brock.
55. So $17.5 million off the table is good news.
Yeah, because he wasn't drafted high, he's never had real money.

Speaker 1 He's actually been living with a roommate and almost going into debt living in San Francisco as the starting quarterback of the 49ers in the time that we're in in the NFL with how much money quarterbacks are making.

Speaker 1 Brock was making nothing. He actually did a couple John Deere commercials that might have supplemented maybe a car for him or a truck for him to get to work.

Speaker 1 He had a suitcase, I think, he carried around with him. And then he had those shit kickers and those jeans.
That's basically all he owned.

Speaker 1 You know, because he number the last overall pick in the draft. So this is just like when Russell Wilson was up for his first time.
It's like hometown discounts, like I've been given that. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Big discounts. Big discounts.
And you guys were able to do a lot of things because of it.

Speaker 1 And it's like getting Brock Purdy's deal done now is better than getting it done later because maybe another quarterback gets done and the price bumps up another 10 million.

Speaker 1 These quarterback contracts are absurd. And it's like Brock Purdy should be above everybody

Speaker 1 that just got paid.

Speaker 1 Isn't Dak getting 60? Somebody getting 60? Yeah, Dak is.

Speaker 4 He's going to get more than that.

Speaker 1 Do you think he deserves more than Dak?

Speaker 2 Definitely. But does he want Trenton Williams at left tackle?

Speaker 1 Yeah, so now you're getting into the hometown discount conversation. Will Brock Purdy,

Speaker 1 Iowa State guy from Arizona, will he be a guy that says, hey, you know what?

Speaker 1 $45 million a year is a lot of money. No way.

Speaker 2 No way.

Speaker 1 I just wanted to go into $60.

Speaker 1 $55, I'll sit on, but at $60, I'll say, you know what, he'll give up $5 million for Trent Williams. Will Brock Purdy be a guy? No way.
Because of

Speaker 1 his humility. And I'm not saying that.
Don't do it, Brock. Obviously, there's going to be a a lot of people saying, take as much as you can get, Brock.
But will Brock sit there with John Lynch?

Speaker 1 And he'll say, you know what? I do want us to build up around me. I want to win these games.
Give me 47.5 million a year.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I'm leaving potentially 13 million on the table if he was to go somewhere else. You say Dak deserves more than him.
It's like, I understand that Dak's been a great quarterback.

Speaker 1 He's done a lot of magical things. It's like Brock Purdy just gets dropped in the league, has won.
That is literally what he has done. It's the system.
It's the people.

Speaker 1 It's okay, whatever the case is. Some team, if they heard Brock Purdy was available with how young he is and how much success he is, there's some team.
Imagine Kevin O'Connell with Brock Purdy. Like,

Speaker 1 they're not going to pay somebody $60 million a year, but I'm just saying there would be somebody that'd be like, we can pay him. I'm not saying he deserves more than anybody.

Speaker 4 I'm not saying, look, you get what you can get. You know what I mean? When it's your time to go, and the salary cap jumped up to what this year?

Speaker 2 $279.2.

Speaker 4 Yeah, so if he can get that much, for sure. But Dak was already coming off of a huge contract and he was getting another one.
So this is to be his first big payday.

Speaker 4 So yeah, and obviously, you know, John Lynch and everybody are going to play those games about building a team and do you want to be a winner and all those kind of conversations.

Speaker 4 You got to hit while the

Speaker 4 strike while the iron is hot. He's done nothing but phenomenal things while being a starting quarterback at NFL.
So I hope he definitely does get more than Dak and reset that market.

Speaker 3 He does strike me as that kind of guy, though.

Speaker 1 Like I don't think he's

Speaker 3 like as a guy who like I don't think he's going to go in there and be like, hey, I want 61 million.

Speaker 1 But that's, that's how this works. Right.
That is literally how this works in this quarterback market. It's like, who was the last signed person? Okay, am I worthy of being the next guy? Yes.

Speaker 1 Okay, I'm getting more than the previous guy. That's just how the quarterback deals have literally gone.

Speaker 1 Even with people who are not worthy, they have somehow deemed them worthy and they get more than the previous high. It's like Dak's at 60.
So if Brock's agent is agenting, which I assume.

Speaker 3 And I don't know who his agent is, but I could just see if they come in and just, you know, started started at 55. Boom.

Speaker 1 Good enough with me. Yep.
Let's sign this. Let's do that.

Speaker 1 52.5 million. Shit.
That's a lot of money. Right.
I'm good.

Speaker 1 I could take 62 now. You know that.
Make sure we do good with this 10 million. Whatever the case, we hope Brock Purdy gets paid immensely.

Speaker 1 John Lynch spoke at the Combine about Ayuk as well and having to get younger. The reason why you have to get younger is because you're paying a quarterback.
You see,

Speaker 1 this is the game. Young quarterback, not a lot of money, so you can pay a lot of other people.

Speaker 1 Once quarterback becomes through one contract, now quarterback eating up a lot of your money that you had being sent out to other positions.

Speaker 1 So now you got to get younger because the younger guys are cheaper. Speaking of cheap, the Bengals are able to keep T.

Speaker 1 Higgins for another year at a cheaper rate than what he was hoping for or expecting. He has officially been franchise tagged by the Cincinnati Bengals.
Sad.

Speaker 1 26.2 million franchise tag for T. Higgins, second year in a row.
This second straight year with the Bengals have used it on T. Higgins.

Speaker 1 Remember, last year he got franchise tagged, and we saw a vlog from he, and I believe his mom even tweeted, and he was like, I'm going to be professional. They tagged me.
There's a lot of money.

Speaker 1 I'm going to show up and do my thing. He did.
Then we thought maybe he was going to hit the open market. The open market would have been very good to T.
Higgins.

Speaker 1 Certified number one in everybody's eyes hasn't been able to, unless Jamar Chase hasn't been on the field. Doesn't matter who's in the field or who's a quarterback or who's doing what.
T.

Speaker 1 Higgins has done a fantastic job for the Cincinnati Bengals and has been a consummate pro in their locker room.

Speaker 1 I think from all the videos we've we've seen, he is beloved by the boys, which is a big deal, especially at the wide receiver position.

Speaker 1 There are teams that would have been willing to pay him a lot of money, including the New England Patriots as Boston Conner literally just sighed because they're franchise tag.

Speaker 1 But this means absolutely nothing. Franchise tag can be traded.
No deal has been done, and T. Higgins hasn't signed a franchise tag.
So what this means is Cincinnati Bengals want to keep T.

Speaker 1 Higgins in their world. Will that end up being the case whenever this season starts out? TBD, AJ Hawk.

Speaker 12 TBD, and we heat, we've, I mean, we hear their front office talk about, hey, you can't keep everybody, right?

Speaker 12 We got these stars, it's a great problem to have, but we got to find a way to pay these guys and keep them happy.

Speaker 12 We got Trey Hendrickson, Jamar, that they're going to have to figure this whole situation out.

Speaker 12 And I would imagine T at, yeah, I mean, 26.2, that's that's a great number for one year, but he knows, like, hey, I want some job security after that as well.

Speaker 2 Yeah, this is exactly what Schefter told us because I did sigh, and I am pissed off about it. But then I immediately thought, oh, Schefter told us last week of the comba.

Speaker 2 And this was kind of always the plan was that he would get tagged.

Speaker 2 And that if he is going to get traded, it would be a post-franchise tag so that they can get some sort of, you know, compensation in return for it. Now, who knows what that is?

Speaker 2 You would assume would be at least a second and another pick after that. But I mean, it's just a bummer for T.
Higgins, man. I want that guy to get paid $30 plus million dollars.

Speaker 1 There's some rule. Hey, man, we think he's earned it.
And obviously, that's a wide receiver market currently. That's a lot of money.
26 point, whatever, is a lot of money as well.

Speaker 1 Long-term compensation is what he's thinking about because you can get hurt in the blink of an eye in this world, especially in football as a whole.

Speaker 1 The trade clause thing after you get franchise tagged, we looked into it when Lamar Jackson was going through his thing, and we thought that the NFL rules stated like it had to be at least two ones or something like that.

Speaker 1 Turns out that's not real from what we've heard, like that is very negotiable. Like teams can trade anything basically for a player as if he was on the roster.

Speaker 1 So we will continue to like try to get answers on that whole thing because if you franchise tag a guy, guy, that just extends your rights of him through free agency, basically.

Speaker 1 So now for those picks, that has to be like it's like an offer sheet. Like, T would have to sign that, and then the Bengals would have to be like, okay, yeah, go ahead, take him.

Speaker 1 We'll take your ones or whatever, but they could just work out a trade without him having to sign that. Yeah, it's all a negotiation.
Everything's still just a very much an open negotiation for T.

Speaker 1 Higgins as a Cincinnati Bengal.

Speaker 2 Yeah, if we look up the Titans, Legerius Need contractor trade negotiation, he got tagged and then traded last last year to the Titans from the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 And T just tweeted the words tag, T-A-G with a period. So I don't know if he's happy about it or he was just breaking his own.
I think he's probably breaking his own.

Speaker 2 Oh, no, that's like tag you're it.

Speaker 1 It's a good movie, too. Tag, by the way.
Great movie. Remember, we mocked that movie.
That was great. True story.
And it was actually great. It was a great movie.
It was a great movie.

Speaker 1 Didn't win any awards, I see.

Speaker 1 Too enjoyable.

Speaker 1 So T. Higgins franchise tag.
What are your thoughts? I mean,

Speaker 4 to everybody's point, I would love to see him hit the open market and get paid.

Speaker 4 He is in a very, very, very good situation for a wide receiver, being with one of the best quarterbacks in the league, being on the other side of Jamar Chase, who's getting a lot of those same coverages that Justin Jefferson was talking about, a lot of double team to triple teams coming off a triple crown year.

Speaker 4 And, you know, a lot of people say, you know, certified one, if he goes to another team, he's a one. You always, I'm always kind of in the boat where I got to see that to believe it.

Speaker 4 But talent-wise, he definitely has all the tools. He has a height, has a strength, has a play speed, has the hands.
I would love to see him get his just due on the open market.

Speaker 4 But it looks like he's either going here for a year, hopefully gets traded, get paid somewhere. Or has Mike Brown already said there's no long-term contract happening in Cincinnati?

Speaker 1 Nope, I don't think so. They've been very open.
Ideally was the word that everybody was using at the Combine when they were speaking at press conferences.

Speaker 1 Hey, you're going to be able to get a deal done? Ideally, we'd be able to get a deal. Ideally, we'll be able to get it done.
Ideally, everything is

Speaker 1 in play. I think everybody was saying that, not just the Browns or the Bengals, I'm sorry.
But it's like, ideally, is a situation that doesn't deal deal with reality.

Speaker 1 You're not going to be able to get everything done. I think that is kind of the combo.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Duke Tobin said he wanted to get a long-term deal done with him and also make Jamar the highest paid non-quarterback in the league. Ideally.

Speaker 1 That ain't happening.

Speaker 1 And ideally, what's that? He said, that's cap. That's what T said.

Speaker 1 He did say that. That's cap.

Speaker 1 Cap it up. Capping.
And then Scheffer comes on our show and he goes, I recently learned what the cap means. Basically means he's, and we cut him off.
Bullshit.

Speaker 1 He goes, it's crazy that this is the, yeah, but this is real world. That is the player communicating with the world their opinions.
Just so happens to be

Speaker 1 straight up capping, dog. Yep.

Speaker 2 Dummy ass cap.

Speaker 1 This is a part of being successful. It's not easy.
Niners going through it. Bengals going through it.

Speaker 1 Obviously, the Indianapolis Colts are going to go through it here in a few years.

Speaker 2 A few years, a few decades.

Speaker 1 Few years away.

Speaker 2 2040 is going to be a brutal year. It's going to be a tough offseason.

Speaker 1 A few years, bro. It's going to happen.
I hear you, man. Yeah.
Got a lot coming. This year?

Speaker 12 Are the the Colts looking at Aaron?

Speaker 1 You think? I don't know. I've thought about that.
I got a lot of people in my mentions obviously saying, I'm like, don't even fucking think about it. Like, Colts fans, not all Colts fans are

Speaker 1 necessarily happy with me, you know, because everything that happened, which I respect, once again, hey,

Speaker 1 there's a lot of people angry at me at all times.

Speaker 1 I think there's more that agree with you than I agree with that notion. But there's a lot of people like, we don't need to do the whole super veteran quarterback song and dance again.

Speaker 1 We've done it a lot. I can sure.
That makes sense. We've done it a a lot.

Speaker 4 I mean, you don't want to be going into year three with your quarterback. You drive top five, since it's going to be an open competition.
I know

Speaker 12 it sucks for Chris. It's not ideal.

Speaker 1 Yeah, it's not ideal. That is not ideal.
That's not.

Speaker 3 Would you rather have Rodgers or would you rather they bring in fucking Dan Jones to see?

Speaker 1 No, I heard. Yeah, I read the list of people that were allegedly reported to be in the open competition with Anthony Richardson.

Speaker 1 Pre-flabbergasted by it all. Dan Jones, to be honest.
Bring Carl. Jacoby Brissette could come back.

Speaker 1 Could be in it.

Speaker 2 He's good for New England.

Speaker 1 Daniel Jones. Fields.

Speaker 1 Justin Fields, potentially. Russ.

Speaker 1 Maybe. I didn't see Russ's name in there, but maybe Russ in there.

Speaker 1 I didn't see Aaron or Kirker in anything like that. But I'm excited for the open competition.
Everybody's going to get better. What if we got Sam?

Speaker 4 Darnell.

Speaker 1 Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay. With Steichen.
We were one play away two years ago. Not this past season, the season before.
Gardner Mitchell made it to a Pro Bowl.

Speaker 1 We had one drop ball. We're the AFC South champs.
Everything that the Houston Texans didn't play us. Remember, miraculous run this Houston Texans? That was supposed to be us.
Home playoff game.

Speaker 1 In the sweep. Worth the money.

Speaker 4 A couple plays away.

Speaker 1 Steelers just traded their first-round

Speaker 1 quarterback after two years, and they got a sixth or seventh for it. So you get that for AR.
Ideally, that's not how it goes either. You know, that guy's a Super Bowl champion now.
He is. Hey, man.

Speaker 1 Took the picture. Congrats, Kenny.
Played. He ended the Super Bowl.
Yeah. Congrats, Kenny Pickett.
Hell yeah, Kenny.

Speaker 2 Proud of you Kenny Pickett.

Speaker 1 He may be trade AR to Cleveland for the third pick. He could.
Second pick.

Speaker 1 Who says no? Wait a minute. They did it to you, remember? Remember, they fleeced you guys?

Speaker 1 Who? Cleveland? Yeah. How do they fleeces? Got Lombardi.

Speaker 1 Trent Richards. Yeah, okay, yeah, we all.
Lombo's a gym. Trent's a good guy.
We don't need to be doing that. I like Trent Richards.
Yeah, well, me too, but we just did something. No, he's a great guy.

Speaker 1 He just wasn't.

Speaker 1 He didn't end up working out for us. Wasn't great for the Colts.
Wasn't great for the Colts.

Speaker 1 I was sold that story.

Speaker 4 Trade when it happened.

Speaker 1 Dude, remember Jim Ursay?

Speaker 4 He was the third pick a year before, right?

Speaker 1 Jim Hersay was posting earth-shattering news coming to the Indianapolis Colts.

Speaker 1 That's crazy.

Speaker 2 Yeah, it was Earth-shattering. They raised the taxes.

Speaker 1 That was Earth-shatter. Ursay did that? Yeah.

Speaker 2 What are you talking about? You know exactly. I didn't know he had that power.

Speaker 1 Well, there was a point, I guess, where it was rumored before I got here, before they had this new stadium, Lucas Oil, that maybe the Colts leave, you know?

Speaker 1 Maybe the Colts leave and go somewhere else. St.
Louis? No, I don't think St. Louis.
It did happen. Oh, I'm saying now.
L.A. was the place that was like,

Speaker 1 maybe the Colts go to L.A. It was like floating.
L.A. Colts.
Then allegedly there was like a potential helicopter that flew and site surveyed, which I am very familiar with. Sure.

Speaker 1 Doing site surveys.

Speaker 1 No doubt. Then you just have to do it.
Yeah, yeah. The NFL is making it really easy for us to do stuff.
It's very kind of them. It's very cool.
It's very cool. I'm very appreciative of the opportunity

Speaker 1 to showcase your shit in the manner.

Speaker 12 No like red tape, no hoops you got to jump through?

Speaker 1 No, middle management's doing exactly what they don't normally do. They're making it easy.
It's awesome. Those people matter for sure.
You guys are really good at your jobs.

Speaker 1 You guys are really good at your jobs. Thank God they're there.
Without them, could you imagine? Nobody would watch. Nope.
Nobody would watch the NFL if it wasn't for these people being there.

Speaker 1 Yeah, here's me measuring just to make sure there's enough space in a stadium for our show to be. You know, I even checked out up top up at a 300 levels.
Could we fit in here if we had to?

Speaker 1 Just to make sure there's enough space.

Speaker 1 And this is the entire concourse just trying to get it just to see if there's enough space in a stadium all the dims all the dims yep just trying to make just see if we have enough space in a stadium for us to be thank you we were invited by you guys to do this thank you by people above you to do this but thank you thank you thank you so much for making everything so easy with that being said we will be doing the draft spectacular live from the thunderdome nice this year

Speaker 1 much warmer yeah it is it'll be live from the thunderdome it's great It's great. Wanted to get a Green Bay.
Have luck ties to Green Bay. The person joining us might have

Speaker 1 a very massive tie to Green Bay, but not in the cards. Not in the cards.
Oh, so. Not in the cards.

Speaker 1 Thank you to

Speaker 1 this level, I think.

Speaker 1 I don't even know. Maybe even one more right here of the NFL.
It's great. These people are awesome.
Very appreciative. I understand we've got Guard Shield too.
Got to do it.

Speaker 1 I mean, we get invited to do stuff and then, you know, I have to do the, it's a this is really my this is when i'm in my best you know whenever these things are happening

Speaker 2 you know

Speaker 2 can assume we are off for the league meetings this year as well yeah i don't think we will we will be covering the league meetings from

Speaker 1 yeah okay okay thank you for the invite uh-huh to the people that invited us that are

Speaker 1 up here

Speaker 1 so thank you to

Speaker 1 for that it's good it's good it's great it's great league very lucky to be a part of it play play part of it oh yeah very very lucky and thank God for those people. I mean, what's the thing? God,

Speaker 1 you might feel. Holy shit.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you're right. Holy hell.
When they walk into that office, too, they probably turn on that light. They look in the mirror.
It's because of me. Let me sit down.
Whose day can I ruin?

Speaker 1 And then they just go about doing it. Classic middle management.
It's great. They're great.
Still breaking. Thank God for that.
Yeah, still doing it.

Speaker 1 Still doing it. I think that's all potentially.

Speaker 1 We'll leave it at at that

Speaker 1 Let's get to a break.

Speaker 1 We'll be back tomorrow

Speaker 1 Hey Jay will you hit up Aaron please

Speaker 12 Yeah, I mean is he in country? Do we know you tell that's what we're saying

Speaker 1 Yeah, try to figure it out.

Speaker 12 I might get him to try to get him to uh life 360 ever seen that people can like track their kids see where your kids are at yeah, maybe I'll try to get him to do that.

Speaker 12 I don't think I fully understand what you're so what is it's like an app where you can an app where like your family if they have phones you could see where they're at so you know like where your children might be.

Speaker 1 Oh, so hold on. Don't, doesn't that already on phones? People have location trackers and shit on people? Sure.

Speaker 12 Yeah, you can find my, yeah, but it's just, it puts it all in one place, makes it easy.

Speaker 1 Some people put microchips in their kids. Micro products.

Speaker 1 Like what? They have them swallow it or

Speaker 1 inject it into their arm.

Speaker 1 What? And then you track them. Who's doing that? Plenty of people.
In our world right now? Oh, yeah. Cats and dogs, maybe.
That's a movie. That Justin Tibberlich movie where he's got the clock.

Speaker 1 Yeah, in time. Yeah,

Speaker 1 two reels.

Speaker 1 I was going to put an air tag in my

Speaker 1 daughter's shoe, but she has too many goddamn shoes.

Speaker 1 What's that, buddy? I was going to put an air tag in my daughter's shoe, but she has too many goddamn shoes.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I guess whenever you hear those horror stories of kids just getting picked up and stuff like that, you need to track them down. Backpack.

Speaker 1 Just have a backpack. Get her a backpack.
I'll get her a backpack.

Speaker 1 What if she dropped it? Backpacks are cool. Those are cool accessories.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 I think I'm going to go the chip route. Maybe get a good Jan sword.
Don't go air route. Yeah.

Speaker 1 I think when it goes chip toad, he's gonna go home and perform surgery inject the chip why not i just don't that feels a lot that feels like a lot that feels weird it does i'd sleep better at night age you have that uh stalking tracking machine you're just talking about right there nope i do not i that is not uh not my thing exactly i think man are people actually microchipping kids listen frank sounded very confident when he was saying it back would i say it if i didn't yes yes yes well you would you would allude you would narrative build remember like he has done with these ais and everything He would say, like, the worst possible outcome to build a narrative potential.

Speaker 1 Hasn't lied yet.

Speaker 1 Google says Nick's live. Really?

Speaker 1 See, this is the worst possible scenario. No, he's looking at the Google AI side.
No, I'm not. No, I'm not.

Speaker 1 I don't know who's right. It's neither feasible nor ethical.
There's currently no technology that allows for a micro trip to actively track a person's location in real time.

Speaker 1 So once again, this is Nick narrative building. Hey, this is the worst possible outcome.
It's going to get there. This is what you were doing, Nick, without even knowing it.

Speaker 1 this is what you were doing we do it to dogs they're doing it to kids you can't do it to your dog you can't chip your dog wow i think you're like kind of have to have some

Speaker 1 yeah have to chip your dog in some places so you find your dog

Speaker 12 but that doesn't mean

Speaker 12 track them isn't it they if the vet finds them they can scan them and see if they're chipped right and get their info yeah sure they can't track them sure i know if you adopt a dog they are all chipped I know I don't like being tracked.

Speaker 1 I know adults have them too. They use them as keys to their houses.
We're all being what? The dog? No, just the microchips in their arm. Come on.
That is not happening. 100%.
Birds?

Speaker 1 You just 100% at this other one. 100%.
Okay, make this one 1,000 then. 1,000%?

Speaker 1 People are walking up like their arm with a key fob? Oh, yeah. Okay, charge it here.

Speaker 1 Scanning it at the gas station. That'd be sweet.
I want some big league gum, babe. Let me go ahead and scan it.
That's an apple wash. That would be.
That's the apple wash. Yeah, you're right.

Speaker 1 Yeah, but they're saying inside the skin.

Speaker 1 Age, how'd you get on and off the ship? How often did you get on and off the ship? Don't you have a little, you have a wristband, right? Scanja and scanja off?

Speaker 12 No, you have a little key card that you carry. You can get on and off.
No microchip or anything.

Speaker 1 How come people, yeah, how come people don't do that? Key card's not good enough. We got to do the microchip and.

Speaker 1 When I went on vacation, I wore a wristband that got you in and out of your room and paid for stuff. It was pretty nice.
Yeah. You wore that everywhere? Yeah.

Speaker 1 Did you feel like you were like their mark? I didn't think about it. Scan my wristband.

Speaker 1 How was the tan? Did you get a tan on your wrist?

Speaker 1 I don't think so.

Speaker 12 The wristband probably has a little camera and a microphone in it.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Did you watch it and wristband it? Yeah.
Okay, on top of each other. Yep.
Good play.

Speaker 1 I mean, changes the way you look completely. Sure.
But

Speaker 1 everyone was doing it. Yeah, easy convenience.
Nick did it, yeah. Easy convenience.
I love you, threw Nick under the bus. Got in the back.
Nick did it. Nick did it.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I didn't wear mine the whole time, though. I took it off.

Speaker 1 I mean, that makes life a lot easier at those resorts.

Speaker 2 No doubt.

Speaker 1 Boom, bang, pow. How you doing? But for life, I don't know if we're doing that.
Not yet.

Speaker 1 But you're tracked everywhere anyways no matter where you're walking you're on camera yep that's a fact that's what i learned that's what i learned from dayline i mean your phone phones are tracking everything yeah but i never turned on siri so true

Speaker 1 yeah so

Speaker 1 believe me i'm with you i don't i do not like siri at all you have you ever heard of uh

Speaker 1 man i'm gonna sound like uh

Speaker 1 what i'm gonna sound like an artifact here um talk to text i believe is what it is have you heard of this yeah i've seen people do that yeah i've always wanted to do it i just never really tried So I didn't know the entirety of what it was able to do.

Speaker 1 This thing's awesome. This thing is very has great.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I watched my wife

Speaker 1 piece together a conversation with a lady who did not speak our language in talk to text and translated it. Oh, and translated it?

Speaker 1 It was some of the most insane shit I've ever seen in my life. And I was like, what is this? And she's like, it's this button down in the lower corner.

Speaker 1 I didn't have it because I haven't turned on a microphone. Didn't really see anything.
I turned on the microphone. Now I'm being, hey, how you doing? Not that it wasn't happening before.

Speaker 1 Now I just know about it. That little thing down in the lower right corner, whenever your keyboard pops up,

Speaker 1 you touch that thing and just pa da da da da da da. Pairing, pairing, pairing, pairing.
Space.

Speaker 1 It's just,

Speaker 1 so I'm not a texter and driver. I'll use that if I need to send a text message.
No, that's what I do now. Yes, it's outstanding.
Yeah. And Foxy is not really a C and driver either.
Yeah, that's why.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I got to be focused.

Speaker 1 That doesn't. I don't know if you're allowed on.
Aren't you blind?

Speaker 12 Isn't he blind?

Speaker 1 Not legally, okay. Damn near.
I go every year, eye doctor every year. You need to fix those.
Those things are dangerous.

Speaker 12 What's your dims on your vision?

Speaker 1 Bad. I don't know what they are, but they're bad.
He's probably like 21, 10. Legitimately.
It is. I was.

Speaker 12 You just see like shapes? What does he see?

Speaker 1 Can he see you like that? Okay, so if it's dark out and it's raining and there's lights,

Speaker 1 I can't see anything. This is it right here.
This is it right here. Yes.
Boom, pop, boom. That's Foxy dropping.

Speaker 1 It's crazy. And I'm I'm sitting shotgun, bro.

Speaker 1 I'm sitting fucking shotgun with this guy. Yeah, so if it's a really dark night out, too, it's brutal.
I accidentally had a few booths, okay? Accidentally.

Speaker 1 Happen upon a couple of fellas. Boys, how we doing?

Speaker 1 You want a shot? Absolutely. Want a beer? Sure.
Not going to turn that down. What a night.
We need another one. Absolutely.
Rey Mysterio maybe comes over.

Speaker 1 Absolutely.

Speaker 1 So I'm a little bit, I should not be driving. Okay, even though I like driving, I enjoy driving.
I think it's the only way you can really like expect, I mean, with the two different FBOs.

Speaker 1 I don't even want to get into it this weekend. Just the drivers are a thing.
If you start a driving company right now, you might be,

Speaker 1 this might be the best time to do it. Drivers are horrendous.
They are. Let's get that guy from San Antonio.
I forget his name. Phenomenal.
Took us down the back roads. It was incredible.

Speaker 1 He was a guy. Yeah, he was a dog.
He was a guy. And also, new ball, too, and waited until after

Speaker 1 the ride to do the entire thing. Anyways, I like doing the driving because I I don't like getting lost in random cities.
I don't like sitting in the right lane when the left lane's wide open.

Speaker 1 I don't like, you know, there's a lot of things I don't enjoy that I just think are bad driving. So I'll just drive.
Fuck it. I'll drive.
But then whenever you just start, it all starts happening.

Speaker 1 It's like, I shouldn't drive anymore. I can't.
I feel pretty boozed up. Foxy, you drive? I'll drive, sure.

Speaker 1 Gets keys.

Speaker 1 We go outside. It's obviously dark.
It's a post-show. A little bit of rain, a little bit of drizzle.
I had no idea that meant like

Speaker 1 we fucking. Stevie Wonders driving.
I had no idea. Yeah.
We're turning in the wrong lanes. We're almost hitting fucking

Speaker 1 poles. Whole thing, dude.
Like, you know, the lane that's that, like, you turn in an intersection, very bright. The intersection was the worst part because there were so many lights.

Speaker 1 It was too bright. And there was so much rain.
And it was like, oh, no, he can't see anything. We almost turned right into the fucking turning lane of the other side.

Speaker 1 You know, the people that are turning, he almost right into them. It's like, yo, yo, yo, yo.
And I'm, I'm boozed up. So I'm already, I can barely.
And then the rain is happening to me, too.

Speaker 1 And it's like, I don't know if we're going in the right lane there so now the drunk guy's like whoa on a sitting shotgun yeah and i don't know what's worse so then i'm like foxy

Speaker 1 is everything okay lock it up and he goes i can't see whenever it's raining in the lights it's we're fucking it was a rental car too

Speaker 1 got us there

Speaker 1 goddess there boy boy i sobered up by the time we got to the plane i was

Speaker 1 yeah completely sober i was like all right get me home dude is the driver hey excuse me pilot can you see out there? Yeah. A little rainy out here.
I'll get LASIC at some point.

Speaker 1 Okay, and you let me know when that is. I'll hop right back in that car with you.
I'll be your shotgun rider, Foxy. They say I'm a prime candidate for it.

Speaker 1 Sounds like it.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you can't see. That makes you a prime.
I don't need that to happen sooner than later. And also, Reagan, stop.

Speaker 1 Don't get in there.

Speaker 1 Okay, it's only a matter of time with this. It rains.
Don't let her drive. It rains a lot.
It rains all the time.

Speaker 1 I don't know how he sees anything.

Speaker 12 It gets dark every night, too.

Speaker 1 It was a seven-minute ride every night.

Speaker 1 Every night. Every single night.
That's true. Except for Alaska, right? They got that 24 hours a day.
That's where Foxy needs to live. Yep.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Well, next week's actually the start of daylight savings time. Yeah.
A lot better. That's all.
We're doing this. It's the last one, right? I saw Foxy.

Speaker 1 That was last year. Yeah, I don't think that happened.

Speaker 2 Yeah. That was executive order.

Speaker 1 Last one. Oh, yeah.
Mill management gets a hold of it. Yeah.
And then lo and behold, this is what happens. We're turning the clock back once again.

Speaker 1 And we don't see a sun for a long time i do like catching up with people telling them what's what life is like out here it's like i think i think it's getting warm i think it's getting warm it was like 59 degrees one day then i get up to canada negative six degrees celsius

Speaker 1 freezing cold land in detroit for customs the guy that uh did it cool guy great gray hair like hell yeah

Speaker 1 Perfect. He goes, so cold.
So damn cold. I guess it got really cold again.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Yeah, it's cold this weekend.

Speaker 2 Yeah, this is the last third.

Speaker 1 Are we done with that? Yeah, are we done with that?

Speaker 2 Yeah, this is the last third.

Speaker 1 Brutal winter. Brutal.
This is the worst it's been.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Cold, snowy.
That's six weeks.

Speaker 2 We got six weeks left? Six, seven, I'd say.

Speaker 1 What are you punksatani folk?

Speaker 2 No, it's just usually always after the draft is when it really is like, okay, we are at nice weather time.

Speaker 1 Last year of the draft, Detroit was a lot colder than I think. Oh,

Speaker 1 it got chilly. We got chilly.
Green Bay would be warm, too. It's a damn shame we're not going to be there.
Yeah, I'm bummed.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I don't think we're gone.

Speaker 1 We get that magician back.

Speaker 1 That's Michael Malone. Michael Malone.
Oh, yeah. Gallagher.
League meetings were in Florida. Gallagher.

Speaker 1 That would have been nice. We are not getting Gallagher.
Rest in peace, by the way. I think he died.
What? Michael Malone. Wow.
No. Gallagher.
Oh, Gallagher, yeah, he did.

Speaker 1 His twin brother, though, was

Speaker 12 stealing his routine, so he might be around still. His gimmick.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I thought Medicare died by swallowing those needles.
You're talking about the Michael Malone.

Speaker 1 Might have been a a bullet instead.

Speaker 1 Hope he's okay.

Speaker 1 He would be a guy that'd be able to do it later after watching.

Speaker 1 I think he would be a guy that would be able to do it.

Speaker 1 All right, we're back tomorrow.

Speaker 1 He was really good.

Speaker 1 I would love him. Right here, get right here.
I love that guy. Collapse his lungs from fucking punching himself.

Speaker 2 Get the nails down.

Speaker 1 I was so uncomfortable. I was so uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 Just like whenever Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were doing what they were doing to each other. I was uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 Two tables. Two tables.
Jeez. Kevin Owens is stabbed.

Speaker 3 And what was he patting and crying for when Randy Orton came out?

Speaker 1 I didn't see that. A lot of people are talking about that.
I think potentially pretty emotional, you know, after a fight he and his ex-best friend just had

Speaker 1 in Toronto. But if you would have seen Randy Orton, it might have brought tears to your eyes, too.
I don't know if a human's been shit.

Speaker 1 I don't know if a humans have been put together like that

Speaker 1 a long, long time. Scared.
It was almost like art, I assume. Kevin Owens is like, holy shit, look at this man.
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 He's got a way 280.

Speaker 1 290. No, no.
All right.

Speaker 1 There's no teasing.

Speaker 3 Tony had a good burn on Kevin Owens in the group chat

Speaker 1 right as he came out. Hey, he had a good fight.
He had a great fight,

Speaker 1 huh? It was great. Look at this guy.

Speaker 1 Oh, you tried to break my neck, huh? Oh, okay. Good to see you.
He says, chewing gum, looking super cool. Always does.
Kevin Owens, like, oh, fuck.

Speaker 1 What are you talking about? He just beat Sami Zayn.

Speaker 1 Where is he crying? I don't see him. Just wait for it.

Speaker 2 Wait for it.

Speaker 3 He's kind of like a, what are you waiting for?

Speaker 1 Like something like that. No, he's overcome with emotion.
He just got done with a fight in Toronto. Oh, boo-hoo.

Speaker 3 Fucking WWE superstar.

Speaker 1 What are you talking about? It was an unsanctioned match. It wasn't a WWE match.
This ring made me into the monster.

Speaker 1 He's ready to fight him.

Speaker 1 He's ready to fight him.

Speaker 1 There he is.

Speaker 1 Come on.

Speaker 1 He's tired. He's exhausted.

Speaker 1 He had a banger against Rhodes at the rumble, too. He's been fucking through it.
Seven Owens is on fire right now, I'd say. Yeah, Randy, though, let's, I mean,

Speaker 1 what the fuck is wrong with that guy?

Speaker 1 How do you have a massive right hand from KO?

Speaker 1 Well, I mean, Randy would be fresh out of random. Randy Randy, the bike.

Speaker 1 Nope, throw him.

Speaker 1 RKO!

Speaker 1 And then he delivered RKO to the entire population of a town in Canada as they came up one by one. That was a bad idea by security, if I remember.
This right? I think security's about to get in there.

Speaker 1 Or was it right when he was about to

Speaker 1 you got Pete down here, the Canadian Destroyer founder, watching along. He can't stop anything.
Samuel? No,

Speaker 1 what is Pete's last name?

Speaker 1 We should look that up. He created the Canadian Destroyer, like

Speaker 1 maybe the best moving.

Speaker 4 Pete Dunn

Speaker 1 Butch. That's not Pete.
artist for north pete dunn's not doing canadian destroyers he should be

Speaker 1 let's get to a break we'll be back tomorrow

Speaker 1 petee williams i'm sorry petee williams

Speaker 1 i go up to him every day and just ask him how many destroyers are in the show tonight we get 30 destroyers tonight or what i watched a match uh on instagram showed up on the explorer page These dudes did 16 explorer or destroyers to each other.

Speaker 1 It's like most devastating move of all time. It's

Speaker 1 obviously a back-flipping pile driver, basically, that happens. Most devastating move you could basically come up with.

Speaker 1 And these dudes are just doing 16 of them back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. It's like, Pete, sorry, the move is not really as devastating as we once thought.

Speaker 1 But the Mexican destroyer, Penta hits. Oh, that's game set match.
Yeah. Into the sacrifice, the arm.

Speaker 1 Got action tonight in Buffalo. Hell yeah.
It's going to be a good one. Can't wait.
We're on a road to WrestleMania.

Speaker 1 Boom. Yeah, he just showed me a clip of maybe one of the first destroyers.
It's on TNA. I don't know if we can show that.
I legitimately don't know the relationship.

Speaker 1 Panam Cole. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Adam Cole hit me with the Panama Sunrise, which is the Panama destroyer

Speaker 1 to beat me in our match down the NXT. I'll tell you what, that came out of nowhere.
I didn't know what to expect. And all of a sudden, I'm upside down.
I'm on my hip. And then one, two, three.

Speaker 1 It's like, I don't even. Wait, hold on.
Oh, is this over?

Speaker 1 Yeah, it's over. Fuck.
Should I kick that?

Speaker 1 Bullshit. That's fucking Canadian destroyer.
Which goes back once again. A lot of good things came from Canada.
We appreciate them. Yep.
What else?

Speaker 1 What else? Maple syrup, pretty good.

Speaker 1 Hockey's pretty good. Mooses.
Mooses are great. Not moose.

Speaker 2 They didn't start. Moose are great.

Speaker 1 They didn't start hockey, right?

Speaker 2 They didn't start mooses.

Speaker 1 They didn't start hockey? They had to have started hockey, right? Did you guys start hockey? Yeah. La Crosse as well.
Start lacrosse? Real the natives. But it was from that area.
Yeah. Oh, okay.

Speaker 1 Let's see. Poutine.
Sure.

Speaker 12 Sure. That weird ice cream Gump likes.

Speaker 1 Tiger Tiger. Time Tiger.
Tiger Tiger. Creamu.
Cream Tiger.

Speaker 1 Cremu up there.

Speaker 3 Stoner.

Speaker 1 Cray Stoner and Sid. Mark Stone.

Speaker 1 And Mario the Mew and.

Speaker 1 Wayne All. Wayne All.
Paul Bizonette, the guy that fought 10 Irish Gypsies.

Speaker 2 Brad Marchon.

Speaker 1 Brad Marchand.

Speaker 1 Mikkezus.

Speaker 1 Looks like the

Speaker 1 PK Souban. They created

Speaker 1 standard time.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 Oh, what's that? Nobody we were just rolling around with the sun? They created

Speaker 1 like the ES, like the ST. Oh, they said we need to separate this whole thing.

Speaker 1 They created Daylight Sanders and the Wonder Bra.

Speaker 2 It was Ben Franklin.

Speaker 1 The Wonder Bra?

Speaker 12 The what?

Speaker 1 The Wonder Bra? Shout out Canada.

Speaker 12 What did that do special?

Speaker 1 Made. Wonderful.
Wonders. It did wonders.
It's what they say. That's why they put in there.
Just like Boy Wonder to Boy Blunder, said Sean McVay.

Speaker 1 It was the blunder bra, and then they brought in the wonder bra.

Speaker 1 And that's what Canada has done. We appreciate Canada for all those great things.
Thank you, Kevin. That's why when I hear all

Speaker 1 kinds,

Speaker 1 my first reaction is, brrr. You know, because there's been a lot of good.
A lot of good people, a lot of good things. No matter what is happening politically.

Speaker 1 So whenever

Speaker 1 oh say brows your first reaction it's a little bit of a can't have it hold the fuck on Starbucks is across the street

Speaker 1 okay you're at WWE show please found a lot of good things what why is the first

Speaker 1 then they said look at Adriana it's like all right I'm looking in every political stance of every country before they play a national anthem before a sport or a happening I don't know if is that the move?

Speaker 1 I guess. I appreciate you guys' passion for your country, though.
I do appreciate it. I respect it.
A lot more than I thought. I didn't know that that type of...

Speaker 1 They were coming after me. They were coming after me pretty good.
Canadians were coming after me pretty good. The Americans were standing by my side, though.
Always. Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4 When's the next time we're doing a Four Nations thing? That shit was. Yeah, great.

Speaker 1 Probably two years. Got the Olympics coming up.
We need to win that.

Speaker 2 Yeah. Got to.
And I need to put Russia in Four Nations.

Speaker 1 Yes, and then be five nations. Yeah, relegate whoever comes in last.

Speaker 4 Who was last this year?

Speaker 1 Sweden. I believe.

Speaker 1 See ya. The Swedes are good, though.
They said it was a one-off because of the injuries. They're worried that if we continue to make it something that the boys will care about, they'll get hurt.

Speaker 1 Like, that's almost a conversation that's happening. NBA people are like, we got no injuries coming because nobody really cares about this.
The NHL is like, our boys care too much about this.

Speaker 1 We can't be having a care.

Speaker 1 We got to get something they care, but not too much about.

Speaker 1 Like, Sid, the last all-star game, he took a vacation out in Montana or whatever instead of going to the all-star thing, and then he showed up at the game, and they were like, Sid's too good for that.

Speaker 1 And then as soon as this was announced, he's he's like,

Speaker 1 I'll play for Connor. Put the C on my chest.

Speaker 1 I will play for Canada. He went into it hurt, too.
Yeah. And then they put up his resume.
He's 46 and three as a Canadian international hockey player. I don't know how that works.

Speaker 1 He should be playing for America. He lives in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 Canada also created the garbage bag, which makes sense. Does.
Let's get to a break. We'll be back tomorrow.
Thank you for that creation. That's a big deal, Age.
They didn't create that.

Speaker 12 A lot of garbage. Like the plastic garbage bag?

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 12 We've refined it and made it better and better, bingo.

Speaker 1 Well, I mean, we can talk about a lot of things that they created there.

Speaker 12 Maybe we did the one that stretches over so it sits under can, you know, so that the top is elastic, yeah.

Speaker 1 And we did the one that has smell already on it,

Speaker 1 yeah.

Speaker 1 Smell, yeah, that's the best glass. I'd assume we did that for sure, without a doubt, lavender.
They created the paint roller as well, which obviously

Speaker 1 we all knew that. That's that's actually a picture of Gump's

Speaker 1 fodder, spotter, spotters. That would actually be me if I was still at the shipyard right now, to be honest.

Speaker 1 That is a gumpy lad painting out there. Look at the cap on the old painter.

Speaker 1 We appreciate Kella.

Speaker 4 Nice looking, too, Carol.

Speaker 1 But also, let's relax.

Speaker 1 It was Big Toquetown. It was so cold.
I bet.

Speaker 1 So cold.

Speaker 1 I was going to walk. I didn't bring a jacket, obviously.
Sure.

Speaker 1 What you saw on TV is what I wore and what I wore home. No bags.
Coming in, do the show. Got to go.
home, no other options. Okay,

Speaker 1 sometimes you gotta burn the bridge behind you, so there's nowhere else to retreat. This is all I'm bringing, this is all I got.

Speaker 1 So now I'm sitting in traffic 45 minutes to an hour in Toronto because they shut down the road going into the city from where I was coming from.

Speaker 1 One lane, go this way, then they stop, and then coming out of the city, they go. So this is like a sixth lane into like an actual half of a lane.
So it was quite a gridlock, if you will.

Speaker 1 And I was like, fuck it, I'll walk.

Speaker 1 I open that that door i take four steps there was a breeze on this lake yeah oh my god i get back in that car i go we're gonna be here a while huh and he goes yes sir in his uh language with his accent or whatever and uh i just sat there and just took it in all all of huh french i think so i think it was french i think i don't know it was tough i was trying to communicate i'm in the same car as a guy for an hour yeah i tried to talk to him four or five different times there was nothing i mean i'm just i'm in there alone you know i'm in in there absolutely alone.

Speaker 1 But then it was an honor to be a part of the Elimination Chamber and what a night it was. Tonight, Monday Night Raw, live from Buffalo on Netflix.
That's AJ Hawk. The boys are here.

Speaker 1 Debut, good to see you back.

Speaker 1 You too, Age. Good to see you back, Age.
Good to see you back.

Speaker 1 It's great to be back in the Thunderdome. We obviously love this place.
We're lucky to do it. Massive show coming to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Details to be released soon on a big night.

Speaker 1 Should be a big one, AJ.

Speaker 12 I mean, yes. I mean, yeah,

Speaker 12 I've heard ideas you got floating around. It's going to be pretty sweet.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's the

Speaker 1 good way to describe it. I've heard ideas floating around.

Speaker 1 That's what the show is going to be.

Speaker 1 This is a combination of a few years worth of ideas in one program with

Speaker 1 massive surprises. Okay.
There's going to be some massive surprises, I think. There's going to be gigantic giveaways.
Oh, yeah. Gigantic.

Speaker 1 Millions.

Speaker 1 And

Speaker 1 millions

Speaker 1 of dollars given away. There's going to be massive laughs.
I think there's going to be some howlers.

Speaker 1 And then the sing-alongs, let's get those voices ready.

Speaker 1 I'm trying to put together just a night where everybody can have a blast. We can give away some money.
And we can experience things that maybe we'd have never experienced before.

Speaker 1 Trying to put together a big night

Speaker 1 for folks. First one in Pittsburgh.
Hopefully not the last. We'll see how it goes.
It is an expensive evening.

Speaker 1 That is for certain as everything goes together. But it should be worth the time, worth the visit.
And

Speaker 1 I'm excited to kind of,

Speaker 1 you know, I'm excited to get to it. It's been taking up a lot of my brain capacity because it's impossible not to think about.

Speaker 1 I wake up in the middle of the night, going to the bathroom, and it's like, ooh. That'd be sweet if we were able to pull that off.

Speaker 1 Talk to techs.

Speaker 1 Hey, tomorrow.

Speaker 1 wake up the next day read through the notes let's go ahead and do that and then we're in a position now with the people that we know where it's like shit's all kind of possible gonna cost money all kind of possible i'm pumped for it all right details to be released very soon and um
