Good morning, Millennials. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Tuesday.
Hope everybody's having a gargy-pargy day. Speaking of gargy-pargy, it's Jacqueline Folet, jerked if you will.
I am having a gargy-pargy day because I'm in a gargy-pargy environment with a gargy-pargy gal. It's day two of New Toast era.
Obviously so much has changed. We hear you, you guys.
My audio was a piece of shit on a stick yesterday. Like, I'm sorry, I will go jump off the queensborough bridge i'm so sorry we have made some adjustments it's going to be a work in progress till jackie and i can get our audios totally matching but today should be a lot better i know you know if it's not you will let me know and we also got some feedback that i actually agreed with wishing that you know you could see our gargy pargy faces a little bit more that's all they had to say we want to see more of your of your faces.
We're having a hard time seeing you. So we're punching in.
We're punching in. We're punching in.
Today's episode, like I said, it's going to be a little dance until we get everything 100% right. But to be in such a garchy environment, I feel really will yield results of garchy-ness.
Yeah. No, it's definitely, I've got my podcasting hat on.
Oh, okay. You're going to wear this hat to the party tonight? I will always wear this hat to the party tonight.
But you just, I don't know. Do you think it will change the tone of the show being in such like a studio? I don't think so.
But I do think it will take us a long time to find our footing. Because like I still feel different.
Yeah. I still feel like I'm in like someone else's living room.
I feel like seriously strange. And the end of yesterday's show I could obviously worn off but like it was the first like 40 minutes that I still felt weird yeah and we've never done such an abrupt change not to do toast at a glance not to do it but this it's so hard this kind of requires a bit of toast at a glance-ness because every other studio change was like born of necessity like I move it and then I put up wallpaper we hadn't moved into a new place since June 2020 and we hadn't like made choices since then so it's just given like the the changing nature of our lives choices are being made that's what I'll have been made now I'm so paranoid so I just wanted to quickly check with you.
Your camera, no, no, but. Red button.
Red button on the bottom right, right? Yeah. There's only one camera light.
Yeah. Like to the bottom right of the lens.
Yeah. I am so paranoid.
Today's the first day we're on our own. Yesterday we had like all of our fancy people coming and helping us and they taught us how to do everything.
And today's like, today's really a test of like what turd can do it's true training wheels are off speaking of our fancy people we posted a vlog last night on our patreon of the whole behind the scenes of the setting up process it starts with claude in new york she vlogged her studio transformation and a bit of her move and then i flogged flogged i did flog it did flog by the way we need to talk about that. My home studio transformation.
So it's a Parsi dual vlog. We really put our heads together.
And you can watch it on patreon.com slash the toast. Yes, you'll get a little behind the scenes of my new studio.
I have done a studio tour in the old OG studio. We both did.
It was very MTV Cribbs style. So that one, if you guys want to go watch it, because a lot of people wanted to see the old studio.
You'll see it in the new vlog, but there is like a full proper tour. And then my new space, which I probably went to a tour for a really long time.
I'm waiting on so much furniture. It will not be done for a really long time.
But this specific corner where I, you know, create art. This is kind of like my artist studio.
In your own little corner, in your own little square, you can be. When you think of Cinderella.
Which one do I think of? Who is your Cinderella? That's a good question. When I think of that song, of course, I think of Brandy.
Of course. But when I think of Cinderella, honestly, I think about the animated character.
Not Lily James. Not Robert, King of the North.
Excuse me? Robert Madden? Is that his name? Oh, yeah, yeah. Robert, King of the North.
When I think of King of the North, I think of like the enormous like Hagrid, Robert Baratheon, King of the North. No.
Oh, wait, no. He was literally not even the King of the North.
Hold on. Robert Baratheon was in the show for two minutes.
The King. No, but he was also just like the regular King.
Yeah, he was the regular king. No.
Yeah. Robb Stark, King in the North.
Yeah. That's like an interesting piece of history, Robert Madden.
How like his career like truly went nowhere. No, that's not true.
He's in that show or movie, The Bodyguard. He's always nominated for shit.
What else? Like seriously, what else? Cinderella. Okay.
He's actually like one of the ones who made it out of game of thrones there are so few he's mid-tier he's mid-tier like top tier is obviously which so crazy somebody was in the show for 30 seconds jason momoa amelia clark she was doing the damn thing for a while but i think she like kind of is over it it seems like she gave up um sophie turner of course i would say those are the three yeah and she gendolin christie don't sleep on gendolin christie she's like doing stuff brienne of tarth oath keeper yeah yeah i agree with that peter dinklage wicked oh oh peter dinklage though he wants no association with the movie yeah he's not doing much press maybe if they cast you in a movie as the worst character too you wouldn't want to and you had the only song on the album that's a skip like yeah you wouldn't want to show up oh my god when i'm listening to the wicked album and peter dinklage starts talking like sam hunt something bad it's happening in us i can't even repeat it i like i move so quickly to the skip button i've actually hidden that song on the album so that I go straight from like Wizard and I to Dancing Through Life. Shall we quickly just take a turn into the Department of Corrections? Something I wanted to correct from yesterday's episode that I found hysterical is actually Dexter Morgan, the person who penned the change.org petition to have Dora, Dora Jokat or whatever, Dora Jar? Dora Jar.
Dora Jar. Removed from the Gracie Abrams tour.
It's actually not a person. It's a fictional character.
Dexter Morgan is Dexter. So we said it sounded like a TV character show's name, and we were right.
So correction. So someone didn't put their whole dextasy behind that change.org position.
They did not put their whole dextasy. That's exactly what I was trying to say.
Thank you. So show your face.
Show yourself. Show your face.
Glad to have cleared that up. What else did you do last night? Yesterday was such a busy day with post-prod.
Didn't you find? So busy. So busy.
Such a busy day with post-prod. Yesterday's episode was slightly delayed.
Obviously Jackie and I are getting our, you know, our new normal in order. So we will get back to our quick uploads.
It's just been, um, it's been a journey because everything's changed. We're on track today.
Like I don't want to jinx anything, but like we started on time. So I think we should be okay.
At least for audio. Yeah.
Yeah. Um, so, I agree, it was like super stressful.
And it was great. I'm just like so loving this new life for myself.
Like I've just sort of created a new life. Do you know that feeling? I do.
Because you've also created a new life. I have created a new life.
What does your new life entail? Like a shorter commute, a pargy studio. Like I'm going to make like a cute little office here.
I'm just like excited about what the future holds. Cultivating a vibe.
Yeah. Oh my God.
I got woken up this morning, like before my alarm, so annoying, by actually like a crazy acrobat in my belly. I've never experienced anything like that in my life.
I thought there was an earthquake. Like my whole stomach, I wish I could have seen it because I'm sure like my stomach was like, like a basketball.
Like it was the craziest thing I've ever felt in my life. And it wasn't like uncomfortable per se, but it wasn't, it wasn't pleasant.
And that was the baby? Oh, I hope so. As opposed to like the bowels? Yeah, no, no.
Oh yeah. I didn't have diarrhea.
Thank you. I guess that was confusing.
No, there was a baby in there. That's so cute.

Like real kicks and movement.

Really crazy.

That's so exciting.

And then I entered a new week yesterday, you know, on those apps. Oh, Mondays are your days for updates.

Mondays are my days.

Exactly.

So I checked.

And I just want to say with each, I used to really look forward to checking.

It's like, oh, grape, lentil.

And now I feel every time I check, I'm even more confused and lost than I was the week prior

because it feels like we're not moving in a linear way we're not getting bigger or heavier like it goes from like first of all I've gotten grapes twice and I guess it was like a bundle of grapes versus one grape it's just they make it needlessly confusing and also like anatomically confusing because. Well, it's hard because a baby isn't a fruit.
Yes, I'm aware. No, no, no.
I'm just saying like it's hard to keep coming up with fruits that are the same like inches. And do they do it by weight? So now I'm learning because I was complaining about this on my Instagram that it's by length.
Because I'm like, how the hell is a baby a banana? Yeah. After just being an avocado, which is very dense.
And round. Yeah.
So it's all about length. And to be completely honest, like of all the facts I could learn about my baby, like its length is not something I'm like particularly interested in, honestly.
Yeah. Well, that's to do with like that's helpful for the size.
And then you get the weight at the. At the doctor's appointment.

And also, I don't know at what point in your pregnancy you stopped calling the baby it.

I haven't reached that point yet.

Well, I feel like later in pregnancy, I came up with like a name that it was going by.

Like first was Elsie.

And then the second pregnancy was Larry.

Don't forget about Larry. I loved that.

I loved when we were calling your unborn baby Larry.

Yeah, I feel like you're going to get to a place somewhere like you have the nickname.

It just.

It's like all nicknames.

I love you. was larry don't forget about larry loved that i loved when we were calling your unborn baby larry yeah i feel like you're gonna get to a place somewhere like you have the nickname it just like all names we've been calling it baby i that's nice too yeah and it obviously it works can't can't forget about it yeah have you look so sweet today i look sweet it's you know it's we have to dress differently for these chairs they're very deep we're being shot at a different angle.
You see shoe. Yesterday I looked so sweet today.
I look sweet? It's, you know, we have to dress differently for these chairs. They're very deep.
We're being shot at a different angle. You see, shoe.
Yesterday I looked so short, so I got to throw a pillow today. And update, my coccidinia wasn't flaring up so terribly during yesterday's episode.
I also saw that you said on the vlog that you need to use your coccidinia pillow in this chair, but you don't. The pillow will sink and get lost.
Well, I'll see if I end up needing it. I'm obviously going to start without because it's so fucking ugly yeah I need to get like a pillow maker to match the linen of this chair to my coccidinia pillow like I refuse to sit on that big oh my god I just have to tell you the funniest thing I just have to tell you the funniest thing I was going out to lunch yesterday because I wanted to pat myself on the back for a job well done in our new studio so So I took myself out to lunch by myself.
Where'd you go? Just like a small cafe, you know? Somewhere new or the same old? Same old, like one of my local spots. Okay.
Like nothing truly to me. I won't put you on blast, just like wondering the vibe.
Yeah. And so I was by myself and obviously I had nothing to do.
So I started like listening to people's conversations and I was stuck between two equally uninteresting conversations. I was just like, where do I go from here? And I feel like there must've been like a nearby, like a local event for Holocaust Remembrance Day because the people in the restaurant were all just giving like older and Jewish.
I'm like, and it was like a lot of people were wearing like the yellow ribbon, the hostage pin. I was like, there was an event nearby that just got out.
I could just feel it. So I don't know.
That's not relevant. So the ladies sitting next to me are two women.
One of them is like very, very old grandma vibes. And one of them is like, you know, like an older mom.
I would say she's like 40 or 50, you know? And the younger one says, I start listening and she goes to her friend. She goes, oh my God, you remind me so much of my friend who just passed away.
And I could tell she immediately was like, oh shit, that's not something you say to a person who's like actually close to passing away. She was like, not in like the old sense, like in the wise sense.
I'm like, yeah, sure lady. Like good luck cleaning that up.
It was seriously so awkward. I was dying.
Like I need to listen to people's conversations more often. They're so interesting.
And I was telling Ben, I was like, by the way, that should be one of your like, what are you nuts is? You know, I'm always like nominating things for what are you nuts? He never chooses mine. So I was like, fuck it.
I'll tell it on my podcast. Yeah.
We could have our own segment. We could imagine.
What are you futz? I thought you were going to say, what are you fucking nuts? Yeah, no, I'm always like, that's such a good what are you, nuts moment. And I know he keeps something in his- That's so nice of you, I just want to say.
I know. That you're keeping an ear out for what are you, nuts.
He keeps a list in his phone and like whenever something happens, he'll like write it down. And whenever I share mine with him, I've never seen him write them down.
To bust out the list. But I thought that was a good one.
What are you, nuts? you nuts that's rude yeah i guess he didn't have that like strong reaction because he didn't hear it in person but that is really odd it's a what are you nuts moment it's a what are you nuts moment the stories today are what because we have deer toasters we don't have deer toasters honestly deer toasters is another version of what do you nuts because there's always one person in the situation who's truly deranged it's true and i kind of love that for us we so what you're saying is we actually invented what do you nuts it's true love that he could be mining dear toasters for candidates he could how are they today they're good actually i combed through our inbox looking for an update from the girl who wrote in last week about her husband and that circle of nude photos um we haven't heard from her I'm sure she's dealing with a lot so obviously like zero pressure I'm sure she like you know hasn't even listened to this week's episodes she's probably so she doesn't she doesn't even know we moved into a new studio to be honest like dear toasters will never be the same after that like I think she broke dear toasters I know even when I was going through submissions for today my bar has been raised like to the like a crazy level I nobody's submissions today are even remotely as close but they're like you know normal people craziness no and it's like until she gives us an update like we're all just kind of stuck on that like dear toasters is on pause not saying that we're not doing dear toasters like I would never we've learned our lessons um but we're all just kind of frozen by this yeah and like I think that as a community we collectively like haven't moved from deer toasters since that girl wrote in about like the guy hoarding water bottles in her office and now like we we had finally like just started to move on from that as a community and then this happens and we're just sort of stuck again we're at a standstill yeah so I'll be curious to see what the girlies have brought for us today you know I hate to be the like you know giving you notes but remember we did say we want to sit more in the middle of our chairs you just look like you're skewing a little a little well actually my booty do you I just was reminding you no yesterday well also because broody was here yesterday yesterday literally in the slot on the side. Like, he took up the whole chair.
You were almost out of frame. Today, my booty is in the middle.
But I do, if I may, sip on that lean because I'm leaning. Oh, sip on that lean, girl.
I'm sipping on that lean. So, we have Dear Toasters and the stories are.
This is me sipping on that lean what is lean like cough syrup yeah like perp one more spoon of cough syrup now whoa whoa okay i'm sitting more centered now coming up now coming up now that's like probably one of the best i know you probably don't have like an answer in your pocket to this question because you're like mentally stable. But what's like your favorite Glee cover? Sat Bottom Girls.
That's a really good answer. And it's definitely in like my top 10 as well.
But a lot of people's favorite Glee cover is Darren Criss doing Cough Syrup. They say it's better than the original.
Let me tell you that will never. Darren Criss would never be like my number one do you have beef with blame no I just like don't um relate like he's not like I don't relate to him so much like the things that he did except for firework like don't really stand out in my memory who is your least favorite character on Glee oh I don't want to be rude I don't want to be rude because in real life, like they're probably the only ones that I, that would hear this.
Okay. So it's either Becca Tobin, Kitty, which it's obviously not.
You know that it's not. Is it Tina Cohen Chang? Oh my God.
And Jenna Ushkowitz is a toaster. You guys know I recently recorded an episode of the Believe Podcast.
Make sure to check it out. Even though it's's like not a knock on Jenna because.
Of course not. She's not Tina.
But seriously, it's Tina and Artie. It's Tina and Artie.
Well, both of them, both of the hosts of the Glee podcast that I just. Wait, the only people who've ever supported us.
Like that's why I didn't want to say it. The only people who have ever platformed us.
Like, yes, they were my most favorite characters. Wow.
I wish you had told me that before going on the Glee podcast. So I could have shared that with them.
Kind of an exclusive on my episode. I haven't rewatched Glee in a lot of years.
So the feelings aren't fresh. But I just remember like that was frustrating to me.
No, for sure. Tina Cohen Chang was like low-key the worst.
She faked having a lisp. Like that's literally so ableist.
And then was like best friends with an actually disabled person. And like, is my disability a joke to you?

It was, I agree with you completely.

And Artie actually, I didn't dislike Artie.

I didn't.

But Tina Cohen Chang as a character, although like when you are on the journey of the Glee Club, like members are always leaving.

They're almost like, they have to have 12 members for sectionals and they're always

like hanging on to like 11.

And Tina Cohen Chang is one of the OG members. She's in the very very first episode she's one of the first five members with finn and rachel and arty arty also so there is something to say about like their loyalty to the glee club no i think then she was on a power trip she was like one of those seniors who like was so picked on as a freshman and software like and the only thing that makes her powerful is being a senior.
And they're going to use that against you. There actually, I believe, is an episode about that sort of senioritis attitude from the seniors.
And Tina sort of leads the pack. You're 100% right about that.
Senioritis. Yeah, senioritis.
What I would do to experience senioritis again. Yeah.
Where you just like your whole life is in front of you no but the crash from senioritis is so real like I wouldn't want to to have that looming and I think that's why people really act out with their senioritis because they know they're about to cry for help they're about to go back to the bottom of the heap whether you're a high school senior and you're going to be a college freshman or you're a college senior and now you have to like enter the real world. Like that's why they're so angry and pompous.
So you think senioritis is more of a cry for help? Yes. I do.
I love that. Who's your least favorite character on Glee now that you put me on the spot to talk trash? Oh, well, it's Kurt, obviously.
Because I also recently rewatched the episode where Kurt's dad has a heart heart attack and the glee club is so there for them and they're really there for them in a spiritual way and the glee club is quite diverse so they have members from all backgrounds and religions so they're all just like offering their particular prayers their prayers and kurt is obviously like having like a moment with god so he like is rejecting not only the prayers, but people's kindness. And he acts.

And of course, when you go through tragedy,

like you act however you want to act,

but he's honestly like the way he acts is so egregious.

But he has his moments.

I think more so I dislike Kurt because every song he sings like is a song I

would never choose.

I also,

from what I remember,

dislike Kurt.

Cause he's always like knocking Rachel.

Like nobody will say anything. And then he has to insult rachel and it's like okay jealous he's definitely threatened but there does come a point in glee where the two of them lay down their arms and then become best friends like as they should be like the theater queens and the show gets so much better after that and then of course they move to new york together so i think kurt's redemption arc is when he finally, like, leans into what is meant to, like, he's destined for greatness, him and Rachel.
Like, you're 100% right. He hates Rachel.
It's like a jealousy threat. Everyone hates Rachel because they're all jealous of her.
But 100%, when he finally embraces, like, that friendship, he becomes such a more tolerable character. Agreed.
And that's what you missed on, Glee. And that's how jackie sees it that is how jackie sees it now we can talk about why sue sylvester is the best character so you didn't ask me who my favorite character is but it's obviously sue sylvester also i can't believe i said my least favorite character is kurt when it's actually not it's mr show i'm so sorry i know that i was thinking of the members of the glee club that's like known you know yeah and when you like my, I think I said who's your favorite Glee cast member or Glee Club member? Because there's two different tiers of characters on the show.
The members and then the staff. Obviously Sue Sylvester is the best character and obviously Matthew Morrison is seriously the devil.
So yeah, I didn't want to let the segment go on without just acknowledging that. Yeah, no, it's been, I don't know, like 20 days since we trashed Matthew Morrison.
Actually, it's been way more. No, whenever I did the Glee Club podcast, that was the last time I trashed Matthew Morrison.
Okay. So I think we should dive in because we have stories, we have your toasters, and we just have like lots to do, lots on the agenda.
We've've got a lot of business so without further ado to do to do here are the fast five stories that you do need to know and the fast five stories that you need to know are brought to you up by charlotte tilbury one of my absolute favorite beauty brands charlotte tilbury has bottled 30 years of artistry into easy to choose easy to use beauty products you really can't go wrong they're flattering for everyone everywhere and that's the reason why she's the queen of glow. She's also the queen of like, I feel celebrities, social media influencers.
Every girl I know who has like fabulous makeup uses mostly Charlotte Tilbury products. So many of them are so viral and sold out all the time for really good reason.
Her glow wands, which I feel like really were like, you know, a cultural shift, the contour wands, the glow wands, the blush wands are the best like dewy makeup look. They're also like so user-friendly, so idiot-friendly.
Like if you don't know how to blend or do makeup, it's so just entry level, honestly. Her rigorous standards ensure that every product is designed and formulated for performance like nothing else on the market.
And take her iconic Hollywood Flawless Filter, which is the absolute best product to put on either under foundation or sometimes I like to use it instead of foundation. It can blur, smooth, and illuminate your skin.
Plus it has skincare infused ingredients. So it's clinically proven for hydration up to 24 hours.
That's the other thing. You're not going to take the makeup off and feel like your pores are super clogged and like oily.
It's really quality product. So from red carpets to influencers bathrooms, her legendary icons have gone viral for making everyone look and feel like the most beautiful, confident version of themselves.
And what's so exciting is that we actually have a discount code for Charlotte Tilbury. It is performance that you can trust.

Today's episode is also brought to you by Vivrell, the first of its kind luxury accessories members club. They provide their members access to borrowing designer bags, designer jewelry, watches, and diamonds.
So once you become a member at Vivrell, you can treat the Vivrell closet like your own. You can borrow anything within your tier.
Vivrell has no return dates and you can swap items once per month or keep items for as long as you'd like. So it's kind of like the most brilliant thing that I wish I started because Jackie and I obviously like love designer bags.
It's definitely a hobby of ours, but everyone has limitations on how many they can get, like, you know, budget wise, closet space wise for a million reasons, like you can't buy every bag that you want to, and that's devastating. And I think that the founders of Vivrelle really understand that.
And sometimes like once you wear a bag and like it kind of goes out of style, like you wish you didn't buy it. And so that's what Vivrelle is so great for.
Like if you're not wanting to buy a bag that's like really trendy, but you obviously still want to wear it and take pictures in it, your membership at Vivrelle will let you borrow it for as long as you want, take your pictures, return it, boom, get another one.

And they have really fabulous bags.

Designers, like the ones you want are the ones you get.

They also have jewelry, watches, different accessories.

Memberships start at $45 a month.

Thank you, Turt. You're welcome.
Our first story is what I'm hoping is going to be the last update in the Justin Baldoni-Blake Lively. Oh my God, it's not going to be.
No, for a while, because they have gotten a trial date for the lawsuit. A New York judge has set a March 2026 trial date on Monday and moved an initial conference from mid-February to next week as the public feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues to grow and accelerate.
And in a new and separate front in the series of legal battles surrounding the film that became a surprise hit last summer blake in a texas court filed request for a deposition of a man she says was central to turning online sentiment against her during its release and promotion the new york federal judge told both sides in an order late monday to prepare for a march 9th 2026 trial so over a year however i feel like it soon like this will be on pause until the trial. That's why I think Over a year.
However, I feel like it soon,

like this will be on pause until the trial.

That's why I think.

Oh, I don't think so.

I think that like they're going to use this next year.

Like he keeps dropping things.

Like the lawyer went on Megyn Kelly.

They just dropped a voice memo.

They dropped that voicemail.

They dropped the pictures from the basement.

He will use this next year to really sway public opinion.

Because like we've said, every time we talk about this, like obviously obviously everybody wants to win the lawsuit but they also want to win public favor and he has a plan and by the way it's so important to keep in mind Blake has literally not responded to a single thing yet so we haven't even heard the retaliation in the public sphere yes he put out a voice note um two voice notes he shared that um he had sent to Blake at like 2 a.m while they were filming there from like April 2023 I've heard bits and pieces like I'm finding it really hard to like actually listen to and look at the primary source material because it is so cringe and I just want to say something I feel like some people have um guess or theorized that something happened between them like Blake developed a crush or they fell in love and then Ryan found out. And that's why Ryan was so mad and tried to ruin Justin.
And that's why Blake was so, got her feelings hurt because she had a crush on him and he didn't like her back. That was the running theory that Blake liked Justin and Justin refused her advances.
And that's what this whole saga is about. So when I've seen that, like I feel like that is so simplistic and juvenile and I've kind of dismissed it every time.
And I still think that that's, like, not exactly what happened. However, now when I read these texts and I hear the voice notes, I'm like, they are talking to each other more intimately than two people would.
Like, when he even said, like, I'm so excited to have Blake Lively and the whole of you and all of you. Like, who the fuck talks like in a voice note? Like my voice notes are just like, um.
I receive that. My voice, um, um.
I receive that not as those two having any sort of like intimate relationship. I feel like it's a real testament to their character, both as freaks.
And as like people who really take themselves so seriously as like artists. Like you're literally making a Colleen Hoover movie.
That's where I was. But now I'm starting to just.
Get swept away by all the conspiracy theories. No, certainly not swept away.
This is not me being swept away. I'm just like, hmm, maybe there's some sort of romantic element here.
Maybe. I'm just now giving it more credence because everything that we're seeing it's just very intimate the way that they speak is all I'm saying it is and I think it's more so like reflective of these people in Hollywood who seriously are not normal human beings they're such weirdos and freaks and like and they talk in an earnest way like this right and it also just then adds not

that ryan wouldn't ever defend blake at all costs anytime like i feel like he if she she was wrong

like he would go balls to the walls but like if he did feel like he was encroaching on his

relationship or that his wife caught feelings for someone else then he's even madder but again i do

think it's like a little simplistic no people are like well r doesn't know like Blake told Blake was mad that Justin did not want to sleep with her so she went home and started this rumor that he sexually harassed her like to be honest I actually think that's like it's such an insulting thing to say like that a woman's only saying she's being sexually harassed because her advances were turned down like that's like that's like in the og handbook of how to deny someone's like experience so i actually every time i see that i'm like okay that's seriously the dumbest thing i've ever heard in my life yeah that i don't think is it but oh and that ryan's in the dark on all of this but something about this is like a little more intimate to go from like speaking like this to suing each other is very confusing it's giving scorned lover i don't know what it's giving but i'm curious but that's why i i think i'm gonna watch this whole trial because i cannot parse out what the fuck happened here And I don't believe in New York courts you can have like televised media. We need this to be a televised affair.
Like the whole, we need clarity. I have no clarity now.
I'm more confused than I've ever been. A thousand percent.
And I think that's why people got so invested in the Johnny Depp Amber Heard trial was because they were able to like really listen in every day and discern for themselves. Decide for yourself, yeah.
Yes. And so it's not like we're leaving it up to a magazine to recap it for us like we will be in new york if i'm 90 sure you can't televise a trial like there's no media but people like a reporter can sit in and then write what they heard but then you're getting someone else's version might like recap the fire points that one lawyer made and you'll be like oh my god but then they might leave out the fire points another reporter made and they have their biases and the new york times is like being sued and they're in the midst of this so i i actually don't trust the media on this shocking um i want the primary source material no matter how difficult it is to listen to and watch like the footage from the movie and the voice notes and the text messages like the cringe but um i don't know I feel like this is really high stakes now and we deserve to know everything and we should know everything we do I don't think that trumps the law which is that you can't but I agree it will really hinder people's ability to think for themselves because this is so divisive if we're not really given 24 like full access to what's going on in that courtroom yeah they need to move it to Virginia which is where the Amber Heard trial was yeah but anyways it's in a year so I I can't imagine it's going to be like a year more of like every day something dropping I think it will be quiet for a little bit until trial starts because also don't you like want some things hold back like to surprise your right but also like public favor has really moved away from Blake Lively.
Yeah. That I think it would behoove her between now and the trial to respond in some way.
She hasn't said anything since that first complaint. Yeah.
So. And, oh, and by the way, once they turn over the text messages to Discovery, like, that'll be a whole new wave of media and stories right right oh my god so that's the latest are you ready seriously i don't envy them no no this is a mess yeah are you ready for our next story an update on something on our list is that megan markle has delayed new episodes of her archetypes podcast with lemonada after postponing her netflix cookery show so i thought you were gonna say she was postponing the netflix show again but i literally forgot about lemonada i did not forget about lemonada just like actually it's up there with this story i manifested it this story we nobody else was asking what happened to megan markle's lemon auto show except for you so she's already delayed the release of her netflix cookery show with love megan from january to march due to the devastating wildfires in la and now it appears her podcast with lemon on a media which appeared to tease new episodes at the start of the month will also be delayed according to hello magazine why what

what was what's the reason idk because of the wildfires they didn't put out a statement but like if you go and look they should have been out and then they're not out episodes of archetypes have been pushed back the magazine hello magazine i don't know how much you know they understand that a series of new podcast episodes for megan has also been pushed back as a result result dot dot as a result of what of the fires because if she was having problems getting this podcast up which it seems like obviously she has she should have looped it in with the wildfire delay of the Netflix show being like I'm delaying all my projects because then nobody can say anything but to delay something now because of the wildfires when they're they're not contained per se but like it's much more under control like people have resumed you know normal promotion of things yeah um it's a it's a mistake she should have looped them all in together yeah Daily Mail theorizes it's because of that Vanity Fair article about uh the divorce book or whatever I don't think it's that I think she just doesn't have episodes yeah and I think it's more so the classic Meg and Harry you know right and that's kind of like I know that's something people clown on her about but it is one of my favorite things about her like she doesn't let this sort of um like stereotype about her like oh Harry and Meghan never released their projects like if you wanted to sort of beat that you would release your projects right now here we are at the top of the year her two projects have both been delayed like i love that she doesn't fight it you know she's this like this rumor about her like she doesn't do anything to dispel it and she don't give a fuck like cashing in the check before like putting like delivering your homework it's just it's a it's it's something i actually really admire yeah it's um and it's i can't stress enough how like i will not be listening to the lemonada podcast no like no tea no shade i didn't listen to her archetypes podcast i don't listen to many podcasts i don't make i don't listen to podcasts i just make them um so like no tea no shade um but i imagine there's a contingency of people who've been sort of waiting like if megan's your girl and she announces a podcast how excited you are and those people are just like waiting and wait like i'm thinking of stassi shorter right now because i know she's excited for the podcast you know yeah no it's definitely tough being like a megan fan and just there's a lot of waiting wanting to support her project yeah definitely she doesn't let you imagine being like we're finally getting the cooking show two days till the show two months No, think about how like we weren't excited like we're not even huge megan fans but we really wanted to watch that show yeah and like we were disappointed so imagine if we were people who like ran fan accounts like real stands yeah i also must be an exhausting job running a megan markle fan account like you can't really make any promises. No, you can't.
You really can't.

Unlike the other fan accounts that make like really concrete.

Oh,

they make change.org petitions.

Like,

um,

I'm also just curious from a podcasting standpoint,

like what this show is going to be.

And like the longer she posts ones,

it's like just the more we don't know.

I don't think it's going to be show page up.

Like it can you,

like,

is it just up with the trailer on the podcast app? I think so. But also, I'm sure the old episodes of, it's still Archetypes.
So I wonder if they're going to go back to, like, exploring different Archetypes. It's not, by the way.
Like, there's no show page on Apple. Oh, interesting.
It's on Spotify still. Archetypes.
Yeah. I'm talking about the new Lemonada show.
The new Lemonada show is Archetypes. Oh.
What? It's her show. She took it to Lemonada.
Oh, she got the name? Yeah. Got it.
Okay. Archetypes.
So is Archetypes on Apple? Yes. But it says it's Archwell Studios.
Oh, it's Lemonada. Yay.
Okay. So the most just have that first season the Mariah Carey Serena Williams Mindy Kaling yeah oh but now sales and distribution are done by Lemonada Media so I guess if you're going and listening to old episodes they're making money off of that because they're selling ads but I don't know how much the old like what are these episodes now? When did this come out? Like a year and a half ago.
Doesn't even say. But I don't know how many people are going back and listening.
I don't know. But I guess the Megan fans do have that, that they could always go back and listen.
Yeah, thank God for like the catalog. The Archetypes catalog.
Yeah, the archives. The archives.
That's good name, too. It is a good name.
Are you ready? Maybe she ever opens, like, a library. A library that's empty.
Are you ready for our next story, our third story? Yeah, yeah. Oh, no, no, no.
Ooh, uh, ooh, uh, oh, oh, yeah. A little music news music news pargy transition lady gaga has unveiled the title cover and release date for her upcoming seventh album wait that's so crazy that i didn't see this no i didn't see it until i was looking for stories like it didn't cross my desk as just a little monster that's worrisome a little A little bit.
So her new album, her seventh studio album

is called Mayhem

and it will be released

on March 7th.

The project will feature

14 tracks including

the previous released songs

Disease and Die with a Smile

with Bruno Mars.

Oh, I didn't realize

that that was like her song

for her album.

I think it's also his song

for his album

because he has a new album

coming out too

and I think there's like

Collapse.

I think they're both

putting it on their album. Right.
The Pussy the pee song okay so I feel as though Lady Gaga I don't want to say flop era because it's just one movie but she commits herself so deeply to things so full adieu while the movie is just like a movie it was also the last two years of her life and her whole like public persona and so I'm just like having that association with her and you forget like that she is that bitch right she's lived so many different lives and and she has so many different careers and she's never really had like a flop music career although I think some people would consider Joanne a flop but we would not literally never I think the flop is considered art pop and then I do think history has been kind to art pop that's the thing it's like at the time art pop didn't well, but now it's reflected on as like one of the most genius albums of pop work in our time. Like, and Joanne just like didn't do well.
And people like never went back and took a second look because if they did, they would see, you know, so much to work with. You can't call Joanne a flop.
It just means you didn't listen to it. Oh my God.
It's so true. And, you know, not to go on my my celebrity documentary tirade but she is doing Joanne while making the five foot two documentary on Netflix about the Super Bowl and so it's not about Joanne it's about like her Super Bowl performance but you do get a glimpse into just like the process of Joanne and how Joanne got leaked and like I just think if you're looking for ways to support and respect Joanne you would watch that documentary.
Or you would stream Jo, but for some people, like, clearly that's difficult because they don't do it. Take my hand.
Stay Joanne. Claudia, I'm adding that to things to listen to at length.
Like, I can't listen to Lady Gaga as an artist because it's all so different if I want like one mood.

Even though I love Lady Gaga.

Like seriously I'm a little monster. What is your favorite song off of Joanne?

Grigio Girls maybe?

Yeah Grigio Girls.

Pino Grigio Girls.

Also Diamond Heart.

So good.

Perfect Illusion.

Perfect Illusion is Joanne.

Yeah.

Like sometimes we don't deserve Lady Gaga.

Anyways here's the tea on the new album.

She said, is Joanne yeah like sometimes we don't deserve Lady Gaga anyways here's the tea on the new album she said the album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans love she said rather than simply creating the sound of her early hits she describes her new album style as being akin to reassembling a shattered mirror even if you can't put the pieces back together perfectly you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way Per the release mayhem is about chaos and transformation celebrating music's power to unite provoke and

heal okay maybe i sound crazy and delusional but it does sound like this is heavily influenced by

joanne like no let me tell you why because she said she's going back to like her og pop because

you know the the natural progression of her career took her to joanne she's always been the type of artist just like follow her gut and like do what she thinks is best and make the best possible music and that took her to joanne and people didn't want it she's like okay fine we'll go back and make born this way okay i just want to say she did put out an album after that chromatica don't forget rain on me except it was a covet album and it didn't get the love it deserved because we were not popping at the club our postseeds at the club it's a club album it's like literally for like rain on me is so amazing it's so so amazing that album was really good so i feel like that album was like her coming back to pop from joanne so this yeah coming back to prop from coming back to pop during covid okay however you want to explain it i definitely forgot about rain on me you're right in that whole era but i guess she's kind of had like two back-to-back albums that didn't go her way one because people refused to wake up on joanne and two because of covid she didn't't make music for COVID. She should have released Joanne during COVID.

I actually do think Joanne.

Because we were all Grigio girls.

Joanne was a bit ahead of its time

because I feel like that sort of music now is very popular.

You know, like Kacey Musgraves, Maggie Rogers,

like movie, country, pop.

So true.

She was ahead of her time as she always is

because she's a true artist.

That's actually a really brilliant point. Had she released Joanne during COVID when people were like eating up folklore type music.
Folklore. Like think about all the people who needed to hear like Grigio Girls while sitting on their couch for a whole year.
Yeah. So her timing is off.
But she's kind of like William Shakespeare in that sense. Not appreciated in her own time.
She is appreciated but she's always ahead of her time because she is like such a true artist visionary also don't forget then she was taken to do star is born soundtrack after Joanne so she was like busy with that and then she did house of Gucci yep and then hold my hand Maverick hold my hand I'm so glad you just brought that up totally went under the radar because I think when you think about that top gun maverick album the song that comes to mind that was like so big is the one republic one i can do you know what i'm talking about i ain't worried um i ain't worried about it right that song like went number one in every country it was like the biggest song it was so good and i think it was also the song playing when miles Teller was doing his naked dance on the beach which I understand like the impact so Hold My Hand which Lady Gaga contributed to that soundtrack did get a little bit overlooked um and it's disgraceful because I don't know if there was a better song made this century and I'm just I'm honestly saying I agree and Hold My Hand got nominated for like all of the awards for best original song and she didn't win and she have won. And that's why like these awards can't be taken seriously.
It's so true. They're genuinely meaningless.
Like remember that Hold My Hand didn't win. Just remember that.
Yeah. I mean, I don't need to remember it because I think about it every morning when I wake up.
Then she did Falea Du Music, which is like a musical. Faleahem and i'm ready like i'm ready for lady gaga making doing red carpet doing press like i just i love her she's such a talent we don't quite appreciate her when we have we don't and i'm probably a part of that too because she's like she is so crazy um but that's what it takes to be an artist I am also like ready for her to return to music I like I like Lady Gaga the pop star more than I like Lady Gaga the actress and so funny because I feel like a lot of comparisons are made now between like her and Ariana Grande and I happen to prefer Ariana Grande as an actress than a pop star in this moment I like what she's doing and I understand why she wants to do more of it.
Yeah. Okay.
Well, see you. Oh, you know what? I'm going to add that to my countdown.
Mayhem, March 7th. Yeah, because it feels like it's not being put.
Where's the machine? Like the industry is not putting Lady Gaga on our radar. I haven't even heard about her new music.
Yeah. Well, now I think this is the beginning of the machine the machine just like got finished being built yeah yeah are you ready for our next story our fourth story yes spencer pratt has passed on a watch what happens live appearance after andy cohen's past heidi montag diss yes i saw this so spidey won't be appearing on watch what happens live with andy cohen anytime anytime soon as Heidi's career is making a comeback fans took to social media to suggest she become Bravo's newest addition to Real Houses of Beverly Hills while some may be crossing their fingers for her return to television her husband Spencer was quick to shut down any possibility for her to hold a diamond he said no thanks he also said uh another one asked if they would ever appear on Watch What Happens Live.
He said, the person who said he would rather scratch his eyes out than watch my wife, hard pass. He was saying this on Twitter, right? He was like answering fan questions.
Yeah. So then someone else was like, they would be lucky to be on Watch What Happens Live.
He said, LOL, yeah. So lucky.
The guy that bashes my wife. Going to be so lucky to sit with him.
Rather sit in my burned house, Ruppel. Here's the thing.
And this is exactly why I made Spencer Pratt the queenie of my week like two weeks ago not only because he's like being funny and like making great content but at the heart of what he's doing is like he so fiercely loves and wants to protect his family like that I think it's overlooked because people are like oh he's so funny like haha but no no why he's doing all of this is like in service of Heidi and he doesn't let even though he's like becoming

a big star Spencer this Spencer that it's all about Heidi it's Heidi first it's Heidi this it's Heidi that like no of course I would never now that I'm having a moment you want me to go on Watch Happens Live where people disgraced me and my wife I don't think so like I love that everything he's doing is in service of his family like it's not this like selfish thirsty reality star Yeah. No, nobody holds a grudge like Spencer Pratt.
And you would think like, and admittedly, like they want to be on TV. They want to do all these things.
So you would think that when those opportunities come, it's like scruples out the door. We want to be everywhere.
But it's like, no, he doesn't forget. He's not going to sit with someone who has spoken poorly about his wife, even if the the circumstances have changed now and maybe like he would be nice to them it's like right the north remembers the prats remember it's true it's admirable that even you know like his grudge supersedes any potential opportunity although the story is a little misleading because he wasn't offered watch happens live and turned it down a fan just suggested like you shouldens Live.
Yeah yeah the story is misleading because they said he passed on it but I don't I didn't see it like as an offer. No it was like a suggestion from a fan.
He was doing like a Q&A on Twitter. Yeah but in these Q&As we find out who he has beef with.
It's so true. So his running list is just Andy Cohen and Alex Cooper.
I think he did have beef with someone, but he just was saying on TikTok, like, it's done. Like, they've made, they're good.
I think it might have been, like, Brody. Oh, that's good that he's also.
And Brody used the song. He's also a forgiving person.
Well, what he had said was that, like, this new era of his life, like, people who are in his mind coming for him or whatever, like, they real enemies up until this point it's all just been like silliness and drama but now like that his life is on the line and his family like if you cross him now like you are his true enemy the list was sort of like wiped clean especially by anybody who used the song got it okay cool yeah are you ready for our fifth and final story If it's our fifth and final story that's brought to you by The Flip-Off on HGTV Perchance. Perchance it is.
Super excited to talk about the premiere of HGTV's buzzy new series, The Flip-Off. Trust us, you don't want to miss it.
Christina Hack and Tariq El Moussa were married, as you guys of course know, and they're the queen and queen of flipping houses, flipping shows, and then they got divorced. That was 10 years ago.
Oh my god, like i've literally done nothing with my life except sit and think about these two after 10 years of history and drama and new marriages these exes are ready to face off to prove who's the best flipper around in the flip-off on hgtb so it's tarik and his new wife heather rayal musa whom we all know against christina and the goal is to flip a house with the biggest payoff so it's hgtb at its best but it's it's not just about the flips. The series serves up stunning transformations, competitive banter, and some deeply raw and at times uncomfortable personal moments.
It's not all glamour and glitz. It's gritty, it's real, and it's totally captivating.
We're also going to see Christina and her soon-to-be ex-husband, Josh Hall, in a super intense exchange on their way to a flip. It's really awkward, and then Christina then spills the tea to Tarek about what's going on in her marriage, and it's like super dramatic.
I've seen the first episode, the flip off itself, like the competition is just like fabulous Parchi HGTV vibes, but all these reality stars and like their shared history is genuinely awkward. So Christina and Heather's design chops and eye for style are really going to elevate the series with high design that you don't see anywhere.
Their mastery as real estate experts, flippers and entrepreneurs is on full display and there are great appearances. So celebrities like Amanda Smith from Selling Sunset, Heather Dubrow from Orange County Housewives, and the most surprising, Christina's ex-husband, her second husband, Ann Stead, are all going to be joining the competitions to determine the best weekly win.
So mark your calendars and get ready for the flip-off. It's must-watch TV, and the reunion of Tarek and Christina is just the cherry on top.
Tune into the premiere Wednesday, January 29th at 8, 7 central to see who wins the first of its kind competition. You don't want to miss it.
Today's episode is also brought to you by Carraway. So Carraway is non-toxic cookware.
It's made modern. So buying cookware is not something I really ever thought like would interest me at all.
And then I got my first product from Carraway and I've slowly transformed every single product. Like every time Ben comes home, something new has been replaced from Carraway.
Like our food storage, Carraway. Our pots and pans, obviously Carraway.
Our knives, Carraway. Our kitchen sisters, Carraway.
They also just came out with like a bunch of new utensils. Like there's a pizza cutter, a peeler.
Cutting boards. Cutting boards, baking dishes.
Everything that they offer, I am a big fan of. Obviously, it's non-toxic, so you can, if you're a person who has health in mind, you can feel good knowing that their ceramic cookware is free from toxic materials.
It's also easy cooking. So if you live with Ben Safar, who likes to burn literally anything he can get his hands on, it's really easy to cook and clean on.
The slick nonstick pans require less oil or butter for cooking and minimal scrubbing for a spotless clean. It's eco-friendly, so when produced, their home goods release less CO2 into the environment compared to traditional nonstick coatings.
So Caraway's internet-famous cookware set comes with a saute pan, fry pan, Dutch oven, and sauce pan, plus lids for all of them, a canvas holder, and a magnetic pan rack for storage. It's the ultimate kitchen setup, and it'll save you $150 versus buying the items individually.
Plus, if you visit carrawayhome.com slash the toast, you can take an additional 10% off your next purchase. This deal is exclusive for the toaster, so visit carrawayhome.com slash the toast or use code toast at checkout.
Carraway, it's non-toxic cookware made modern. Thank you, Turd Away.
You're welcome. Our fifth and final story, Miley Cyrus is reflecting on her past mistakes and detours.
said I would not go back and change anything so Miley Cyrus shared an Instagram video on Monday with Pamela Anderson they're talking about the movie The Last Showgirl which also I think you should watch because yeah but I think it got like it didn't get nominated for a bunch of stuff so like it would be a waste of my time in terms of this specific project oh damn because it was nominated for the globes and miley was nominated um but she spoke song her song yes yes yes because she has a song on the soundtrack called beautiful that way and pamela anderson stars in the film so they sat down together and they were talking shop and miley was snubbed for an oscar and miley was snubbed just like lady gaga yes so miley recalled wanting to be the baywatch actress when she grew up she said ever since i was little was only Pam. When people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grow up, I would say you and the whole thing, the tattoos, the hair, all of it.
That's all I wanted to do. She added that she loved watching Pamela Anderson evolve and felt inspired.
She said, I've had so many different pivots and evolutions and one might say detours within my path, but it always ends up coming back around to make the next stage of who we are. Something that's potent something that's more real Pamela agreed saying sometimes you need to go do a little research and come back to your path she then recalled once telling a director she wanted to let everything go from her past I don't want to think about it anymore but then the director goes no bring it with you that's nice honestly this era of Miley like is by far favorite one.
Because I feel like she's really not trying so hard.

I think that, like, in the past, she's really struggled to, like, show us who she is as an artist and as a person.

So she sort of put on these personas that felt a little inauthentic.

But she was like, this is me.

This is me.

And we're like, okay, okay.

And now I feel like she's not doing that.

She's just, like, doing whatever she wants.

And it's reading so authentically.

And it feels like she's really sort of, I know this sounds crazy like since Hannah Montana and then like the breakdown and I feel like she has now officially like found herself yes I would agree with that and it comes through and everything that she does and she's such a talent like she's just so talented in every pore of her body so whichever she like is beautiful. But watching her seem so like happy and content and at peace with herself.
Like and just doing the things that she wants. Like she likes this movie and she likes Pamela Anderson.
And she wanted to be on the song. And that got her a Golden Globe nomination.
Not an Oscar because they're fuckers. But you know it's all coming with just her being her real beautiful self.
I think also like the phase of life that she's in is like being reflected in her music. So she's just like releasing like happy music and, you know, self-reflective music and music that like for someone at my current stage, like that's exactly what I want to be listening to.
Like, yeah, not everything needs to be so sad all the time. I feel like she's having fun.
She's looking back and looking forward, you know, I just, I love the, and I feel like I've been hard on Miley, you know? So I wanted to say to my smisers, like, I think that, like, this is a really good time. Like, we're not even talking about it.
That's how, like, natural it is. It's just, like, she's sort of effortlessly settled into this place in her life.
Like, I know she's in a happy relationship. I don't even know his name.
Like, perfect. Perfect.
It's just really good to see Miley looking and feeling so good.

To see her shining.

Totally.

So those are the best.

And having said that.

Ooh.

Yeah.

No, like everything of who I am is so Miley-Hannah coded.

Like I'm just, it's so crazy when you think about it.

So many of our inside jokes.

What's your personal favorite era of Miley?

Oh my life. Changed me, my DNA, my, on a cellular level.
It did. Yeah.
I think for me, like that period when she was like a little bit more provocative, but like in hindsight, it was like so normal before she went like a little nutty, but like she had the really long like chestnut brown waves and the Can't Be Tamed album, which is such a work of art. And she just like would wear fringe shorts and she was like a real style icon.
And I think she was just like having fun before things got like dark. That's definitely a top era for me.
Yeah, like Miley and Mandy. Miley and Mandy.
Correct. Yeah.
So let's dive into Dear Toasters, our weekly advice segment. So every Tuesday, Jackie and I do Dear Toasters where we read three submissions on air from swirlies who are in need of advice, whether it comes to relationship stuff, work stuff, as of last week, some criminal behavior.
Submissions are totally anonymous. So if you ever find yourself wanting to write in to Jackson Claude, you can do so one of two ways.
Head over to our website, thetoastpodcast.com, or write us an email, deartosters at gmail.com. Both totally anonymous.
Don't worry if your submission has not been read on air yet. It might be too long or unfortunately uninteresting.
So try and just keep it concise, you know? Hello, Jackson Turp. I'm in need of immediate help.
I'm currently on vacation with my boyfriend and his family, and we were having such a fabulous trip until last night my boyfriend stayed in for the night with his brother and his parents while I went out to get a drink with his sister. As we got out of our Uber and walked up to the house we are currently all staying at, I literally saw his parents having sex through the window, but it gets worse.
His dad was wearing a furry mask. No, I didn't mistake it.
And it wasn't like, I didn't see things too fast. This man was literally wearing a furry cat mask while having sex.
My fiance's sister got out of the car on the other side. So if she saw them, she didn't mention it, but I don't think she did.
We just walked in in silence. Do I ask her if she saw anything? Do I tell my boyfriend? Do I go home? Help? I help i'm actually traumatized p.s we've been dating for four years and i thought his family was so normal from a toaster who wishes she was blind it's always the quiet ones here's the thing they're not hurting anyone you know and it's nice to see like people obviously like this is crazy but for furries that's like what the community call this themselves i've heard of it um they're not hurting anyone and like there's you know it's hard to you know stay married for so long and keep things interesting honestly so if anything you I think you could change your perspective here like a little bit of a shift from like oh my god they're freaks like being a little little judgmental to just like honestly that's sweet like at least like you could have seen so many things a, you could have seen infidelity.
Like, you saw two people who've been together for a really long time, who have a beautiful family. Keeping it fresh.
Who are taking vacations. Keeping it fresh.
And you know what? Like, maybe it's not for you. Maybe it's not for me.
But, like, it is for them. And I think that you can't undo what you saw, right? But you can change how you receive it.
You can shine a different light on it. Yeah.
There's nothing to be done with this information. Do not tell your fiance.
He either knows and eek or you're going to ruin his childhood. It's none of his business, by the way.
Those are his parents. This is just for you to know.
And now you know a little more about your future in-laws than you would have bargained for. But everyone's getting close.
This is what happens when you you share a house people see things that's the thing like going on vacation is obviously amazing but sometimes you'll see something you can't forget so he packed his mask i guess i mean it's not big so i'm sure like growing up your husband has seen the furry side of him like at some point yeah yeah just don't bring it up do not bring it up but now you know and and you know what's so funny is like as a family we travel a lot together these trips bring people closer together and now you're closer have you ever seen anything like walked in on someone one I don't know if I would even say it right now but okay two like no nothing comes to mind what about you just one thing comes to mind do I want to know do you know it do you know it I'm not gonna say it but like I I believe you were there but like you didn't see it do you remember I think something's coming to me I'm gonna text you something that I've previously blocked out is coming forward and I think it has to do let me just text you with the words i think it has to don't text me yet tell me if i'm right okay and by the way guys don't even guess like i'll they'll take the story to my grave like i didn't nobody knows like i just yes yes yes yes you know unless our texts are in discovery leaked oh by the way if we get subpoenaed we we're screwed. Also, how did Justin Baldoni keep that voice note? Don't they vanish unless the other person keeps it? And even if the other person keeps it, how do you have your own voice note? Unless it was a voice memo.
So he workshopped it, saved it, and sent her a little podcast? Yeah, I thought it was weird. And I'm like not coming for Justin Baldoni anymore because people don't want to hear what I have to say, and I get so much hate for it.
And also like his case is like, to be fair, his case is getting stronger and stronger. I mean, it's easy to get stronger when no one's responding to you or rebutting anything you're saying, but sure.
I thought it was weird that he still had the voice memo. Like people who keep voice memos are just like very nefarious to me.
But his own one. Yeah, of course.
Yeah, people who keep up. They disappear.
Yeah. But even if I send you a voice note and you keep it first of all never do that but if you did I couldn't listen to my own voice note anymore only you can listen to my voice note correct so how does he have his own voice notes unless he sent them as voice memos in the voice memo app in which case he was like taking even more time like making voice memos and sending her which is a podcast yeah and people who send voice memos um generally like have something to hide whatever I don't want to get into it voice notes excuse me yes it's something you don't want to put in writing but he's sending voice memos it seems otherwise how could he have his own and how do you have a voicemail too that you'd leave someone like i get a voicemail i delete it like i'm just sure okay i agree with you next up this one's kind of personal to me hey swirlies love ya my long distance boyfriend was out thursday night while i was having a wine night with my friends and when i checked his location later that night he was not home instead he was at his local police department i thought to myself what the fuck i just decided to go to bed and check again in the morning when i woke up and Saw no update checked his location later that night, he was not home.
Instead, he was at his local police department. I thought to myself, what the fuck? I just decided to go to bed and check again in the morning.
When I woke up and saw no update on his location from the night before, I Googled his name and the local police department and an immediate mugshot pops up. He got a DUI.
I seriously do not think I can handle this ick. I need your advice on what to do.
He has since been bailed out and given me the rundown of his nearly 20-hour hangout in jail, including the bologna sandwich they gave him for lunch but I actually can't with him anymore oh he told you do you think a DUI is a deal breaker um I just think usually a DUI like points to a larger issue so those larger issues might be a deal breaker I thought for a second he didn't tell you about it and I was like well this is why we can't do long distance you can get a legit DUI and.U.I. And I wouldn't know about it.
Yeah, yeah. I think it's like evaluate the relationship separately.
Like I think some I know not for you. And I do think D.U.I.s are seriously like terrible.
Of course. The worst things you could do.
But people also like make mistakes. So I think there's way towards forgiveness.
But it just doesn't seem like your relationship is that serious. And you're looking for any reason to get rid of him.
And this is a very, very good one. Yeah.
To me, like this would cross the line of my moral compass. And if it doesn't cross yours, like that's not, I'm not like, that's fine too.
If Ben got a DUI. Okay.
But the thing is like, these are two people in a long distance. Right.
Like this is my, husband right like this father of my child i completely agree with that it seems like his relationship is unrooted you guys aren't even together like he could go get a DUI right and you're not even the person who calls we're dating if me and Ben when we were dating and it was a long distance relationship which i just feel like you know adds already like trouble to a situation complications he got a DUI like i. Like I would seriously be like, are you fucking kidding? Like get a life.
I'm sorry. Like grown men getting DUIs.
It's just, it's like if you get arrested for like getting into a fight at a football game, like you're seriously, you're not a serious person. Yeah.
I would say it looks like you want to break up with him anyway. This is as good a reason as any.
Yeah. Yeah.
And if, if you're feeling like it doesn't align with your set of values, that's totally valid because I feel the same. All right, ready for our third and final? Hey Jackson turd.
First I have to share that y'all's podcast is truly the best part of my day. I love you both so much.
I'm getting married in a few months and everything has been so great. However, my future mother-in-law has made some of the planning and prep a bit of a headache.
She very much loves her son, maybe a little too much. So some of her actions slash comments, I've just learned to ignore.
But this most recent one sent me over the edge. After she picked out her mother of the groom dress, she made a comment that she doesn't want my fiance to see it until the wedding day because she wants to do basically a first look.
I just ignored the comment, but I actually can't stop thinking about it. Am I crazy to think that that's a really wacky thing to do? We have a great relationship, but the wedding for sure has caused some tension.
Should I just show the comment but I actually can't stop thinking about it am I crazy to think that that's a really wacky thing to do we have a great relationship but the wedding for sure has caused some tension should I just show my fiance a picture of her in the dress should I tell him that the comment made me uncomfortable any advice is greatly appreciated um I don't think there's anything like so so wrong with this it's just like a little sad because I feel like she has these expectations a first look is for a bride of course but like I don't even think if she was like, look at my dress. Like, I don't even think he would be like, oh, I hadn't seen it before.
Like he would have been like, hey, ma. Like.
Cool dress. So it just makes me like a little like sad that she has this all built up so much in her head.
No, I'm not sad. And she's not going to get the reaction that she's looking for, I don't think.

Well, then maybe you should stop this first look, one, to protect her.

And two, like, because it's wrong.

Like, there's one first look.

Like, literally nobody cares what you look like, lady.

Like, it's not about you.

That's why it's making me sad because she doesn't know that yet.

So, yeah, you should say, I'll come with you to the next fitting and then bring your husband.

I don't know what you should do.

I could let it go is all I'm saying.

You got to pick your battles.

And if you're saying this has been.

It seems like she was willing to let it go and then like she couldn't stop thinking about it.

So it's obviously.

You're not letting it go hard enough.

You're not more focused enough.

Well, then maybe it's not worth letting go.

Maybe it's not worth letting go.

It just seems like it's been a treacherous journey.

You've got to pick your battles. I personally would not pick this one.
It seems innocuous, all I'll say. Protect your peace.
No, I don't know. Sometimes these bitches need to be put in their place, and a wedding is the perfect place.
It's a perfect time to do it, honestly. Because you can get away with saying and doing things to your mother-in-law during the wedding planning season.
Once the dust settles, you have to go back to being a normal human being. But people aren't themselves when they're planning a wedding.
So it's like, you know what? Just fuck shit up. Say it.
Say how you feel. I guess.
Or just let it go. Two paths diverge in a wooded forest.
Or don't. I think both of our advice is okay.
Why? What if you hurt her feelings and then she goes to your husband and then your husband's on you? Why'd you like hurt my mom's feelings? Well, if your husband comes to me and is like, you hurt my mom's feelings. It's like, bitch, I had to do what I had to do.
Like, get on board. I think it will cause more problems than it's worth.
Well, to be honest, I actually think like how you handle any like sort of in-law spats during the wedding really sets the tone for the rest of your marriage. And if you're looking for a husband like who defends you, like, and I think what a lot of women look for when they butt with their mother-in-law is like you gotta start somewhere okay I think this is a good trial run for you I'm just I'm a pacifist you know by the way so am I like I would never say anything but I'm a big talker when it comes to deer toasters I'm like yeah fuck shit up it's true you really don't put yourself in their shoes no never and because if it's actually like me and my personality in the shoes like I say no like I say nothing about anything and you have to seriously have murdered Romeo for me to actually say something yeah it's true so she talks a big talk I do I do so you have to live with your You have to live with them.
So how do you want to live? Let it go. That's our show, you guys.
