Speaker 2 Hey everyone, just in time for Black Friday, we got something a little darker for you. The new Benedict Cumberbatch movie, The Thing with Feathers.

Speaker 2 Left to raise two young sons after his wife's unexpected death. Dad's life begins to unravel.

Speaker 2 Grief is messy enough, but when it takes the form of an unhinged and unwanted house guest, Crow, taunting him from the shadows, things spiral out of control.

Speaker 2 Critics are calling it memorable and haunting. See The Thing with Feathers starting November 28th, only in theaters.

Speaker 1 Every day.

Speaker 3 Day after day, does treatment for opioid addiction leave a bad taste? Visit rethinkyourrecovery.com to learn more and find a doctor.

Speaker 3 What's going on, everybody? Welcome back to another episode of the Vile Files Reality Recap Edition. I am your host, Nick, and once again, we got a jam-packed episode for you.

Speaker 3 Lots to get into momentarily. Susie Evans is with us to talk about, I guess, her breakup because, like, her time on paradise, her breakup.

Speaker 3 Which was basically just to be like, hey, just guys, we dated and we're going to break up.

Speaker 1 Well, we'll get it all from her. We'll get it all from her.

Speaker 3 Also, we have Amaya Papaya and her boo, Brian, joining us later this episode. Excited to talk with them both.

Speaker 3 If you haven't heard our episode with Love Island star Chris Seeley, also known as Huda's ex.

Speaker 3 He was with us yesterday for going deeper. Great conversation with him.
Stand-up guy. Just really enjoyed our conversation with him.

Speaker 3 And he shared really everything about his whole experience, his relationship with Huda, all the tea, all the things that happened behind the scenes.

Speaker 3 Really gave us some great insight, especially the heart rate challenge.

Speaker 3 I thought that was very interesting, what he said about that. But you're going to have to go and listen to it to figure it all out.
We also...

Speaker 3 have for all you uh the summer i turned pretty fans christopher briney joins us to talk with uh us about the upcoming new season for all you conrad fans out there for you conrad fans out there he is with us And then don't forget, we have a special episode for you tomorrow.

Speaker 3 Iris and Pepe are joining us, and we are excited to talk to them. Are they even dating? Because she was hanging out with TJ? I don't know.

Speaker 1 I think it was just like a like, oh, TJ, let's meet. She also hugged

Speaker 1 Boston.

Speaker 1 Maybe a Throp.

Speaker 3 So you watch, do you want to talk Love Island first? Because I know you're a big fan, or do you want to get into...

Speaker 1 Either way, I'm down. If we're talking about it, I'm down to join.
Oh, my God.

Speaker 1 Well, we have talked about it.

Speaker 3 Honestly, we're kind of exhausted talking about it.

Speaker 1 I'm glad it's a lot.

Speaker 3 Are you feeling Love Island fatigue at this point?

Speaker 1 I am Love Island fatigued.

Speaker 3 Yes. Now, is it because of just like the 30 episodes or is it all the just like online

Speaker 1 craziness? I think it's a mixture of the online craziness. And also, I feel like there wasn't like a ton to root for this season.
I feel like last season, there was so much.

Speaker 1 Like I was so invested in the dynamics, the relationships. I was wondering what was going to happen.

Speaker 1 And then this season, I was like, I liked people individually, but there wasn't a lot to root for, is what I felt like. So I was kind of like, all right, like, I'm, I'm ready to wrap this up.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I'm done.

Speaker 3 It'll be interesting how things play out because, like, like you said last season, like, you had a lot to, you had like the relationships.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 And its biggest stars were they kind of, it's, it's shocking in the weirdest possible way. That there are a lot of last season had reality TV stars who kind of like knew how to be in the limelight.

Speaker 3 You know what I'm saying? Like they almost knew how to handle themselves and not be that messy, you know, and things like that, and then have longevity.

Speaker 3 It'll be interesting to see how this cast handles.

Speaker 1 I don't know. Remember that reunion? Janae had her popcorn? She was definitely like, a little messy.
That's true.

Speaker 3 But they settled in.

Speaker 1 They settled in.

Speaker 3 They definitely settled in.

Speaker 3 But yeah, it'll be interesting to see, you know, so much, like, you know what it's like for reality TV stars to go online and get too deep into the weeds, into their like fandom, and like get on Reddit pages.

Speaker 3 And that you see like reality TV stars like edit themselves in life on social media. They're responding to the internet constantly.
They don't even realize they're doing it. And

Speaker 3 it's just a recipe for disaster. It'll be interesting to see how this group handles it because like obviously I think their

Speaker 3 audience is very loud and very demanding of them.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 I was thinking about this yesterday, probably just because I'm being pulled back into this universe a bit, but I was like, I don't even know how much of what I'm experiencing is reality and how much is like what is catered to me online based on like messages I'm getting or things I'm like articles I'm being fed, and it's like a really weird thing because it feels like the whole world and it feels like this narrative that exists, but sometimes I'm like, is this even reality?

Speaker 1 It's also like sometimes you'll reach out to maybe a friend that's not in this and you're like, hey, like, have you seen like, I have no idea what you're talking about. Who are these people?

Speaker 1 You know, and it's like, okay, that's not, got it. Not the entire world.
It's my for you page. Yeah, exactly.
It's my algorithm. No, I've studied.

Speaker 3 I'm lucky enough to have a team now because now I'm, I'm pretty close to getting like completely offline.

Speaker 1 It's like we love a man with no social media. We love

Speaker 1 it. I love that for you.

Speaker 1 Blessed.

Speaker 3 No, I said this like a year ago. Like having having like screen time is literally being tapped into the matrix.

Speaker 3 You're just part of a video game and you're part of like a different universe that is not reality. And if you like disconnect from that phone and engage with people,

Speaker 3 it is not. it's not real.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 You know, and it's like, it's like, we're, it's like a sim.

Speaker 3 Like true is it's becoming like going online and whether you're a public figure, a reality TV star, a celebrity, or, you know, just someone who's on their phone a lot, when you're engaging in that community, or it's again, it's just, it's not reality.

Speaker 3 It's not like people can just go on their phones and like, and just say shit. You know what I'm saying?

Speaker 3 Like, it's just so easy to type or record a video, give an opinion, go offline, go do your thing. People aren't treating you the same online as they would in person.

Speaker 1 No, no one's that bold. No one's that bold.
I've never had anyone come up to me and say half the things that are in my messages. Absolutely not.
They would never. They would never.

Speaker 1 They would never get high. I dare you, actually.
It's always funny to me. You know what? Challenged.
Yeah.

Speaker 3 Because I always think people, like, you're a perfect example. I would have, I would, I would guess that the average friend of yours or average fan thinks you don't get much hate.

Speaker 1 Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 I would say, yeah, I would say the general consensus. And I can also acknowledge more so positive than negative.

Speaker 1 But there's still, I feel like no matter what you do, there is going to be so much negative. And of course, we are drawn to that

Speaker 1 more so than the 50 nice comments you see 10 negative ones and you're like, oh my gosh, everyone hates me.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 Yeah. What is your Love Island hot take of the season? Whether it's a favorite character, person or couple you're most interested to follow,

Speaker 3 a Love Island conspiracy.

Speaker 1 I don't know this is a hot take, but like, is that normal? Like on a Love Island, do they always wear heels? So I saw Kayler post something being like, can't believe they're doing this. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Like I would have, like, I couldn't have done that. And props to them.
So I don't think it was a thing last

Speaker 1 year. This season, but

Speaker 1 it definitely was this season.

Speaker 3 This year, I was like, I wasn't paying attention to that.

Speaker 1 Everyone pretty much did. Like throughout the day.
I was like, how are they functioning? And honestly, I was like questioning myself.

Speaker 1 I was like, literally, I was like, should I be wearing heels to the pool? Literally. It's like,

Speaker 1 what is wrong with me?

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's how I was feeling for a long time. And I was like, no wonder this hasn't worked out for me.

Speaker 1 Well, flip-flops are nothing wrong.

Speaker 3 Disgusting.

Speaker 1 No, I know. I think it's like barefoot or like

Speaker 1 the.

Speaker 1 Wait, wait, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 But not great on medical.

Speaker 1 It was the slow lift for me.

Speaker 1 I'll see myself out.

Speaker 1 Clip that. Clip that.
Okay.

Speaker 1 Anyways.

Speaker 1 Well, speaking of,

Speaker 1 you know, just like reality TV.

Speaker 3 Are you watching this Bachelor in Paradise?

Speaker 1 Yeah, I've seen the first three episodes. I think I'll continue.
We'll see. I got it.

Speaker 3 Out of the gates, slow.

Speaker 1 Slow. But things are eating up.

Speaker 3 I'm starting to enjoy it.

Speaker 1 Out of the gate, a little too much B-roll.

Speaker 1 A lot of slow-mo B-roll. A lot of slow-mo B-roll.
Yeah. shots.
A lot of drone shots.

Speaker 1 We're close. We're close to three hours.
I did see you post about this, but your intro.

Speaker 1 So, like, were they like, hey,

Speaker 1 you're going to get a slow-mo? And then they were like, oh, it's raining and you're coming in at night. So we're just going to hand you this umbrella.
Yeah, I didn't get a slow-mo even. You didn't.

Speaker 1 I know.

Speaker 3 I don't think I've ever had a slow-mo, and I'm very.

Speaker 1 Let me hook you up. I was going to say, I like

Speaker 1 this season is a wedding videographer's dream. The drones, the slow-mo.
I'm like, that's my brand. The M-Roll.
I'm like, that is what I did for a living.

Speaker 1 So I love it on that side of it. And I'm like, let me hook you up with a little slow-mo video.
He needs one. Yeah, we'll get you one.

Speaker 3 I think it was for our wedding video we did.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 But you're a star. So like the fact that they didn't film even just like after you were even gone of like, hey, let's do it.

Speaker 3 Yeah, do the people making that TV show know what a star is?

Speaker 1 Thanks, guys.

Speaker 3 Because they don't seem to know. They're just like, yeah, we're going to send you home.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Sorry.
I definitely, I realized,

Speaker 1 even watching it back, I was like, oh, like, maybe my storyline really was just to like come in while Justin and Lexi were having a conversation.

Speaker 1 Obviously, I didn't know it was going to be Justin and Lexi, but like, I really thought like going there, I was super optimistic and I was like, I'm so ready. Like, this is going to be so fun.

Speaker 1 And that was like a choice to have that mindset because I haven't been on TV in four years, like haven't gone on, like, you know, been on a show.

Speaker 1 And I was, I think a lot of people have this perception of like, I, I'm never going back. I hate it.
And I'm like, I literally had so much fun on the show. Like, it was the time of my life.

Speaker 1 And so I was just genuinely so excited to be back. And then, yeah, I, I don't know.

Speaker 1 I realized like being there and then watching it back, I was like, oh, maybe that was really all I was like needed for there, which is like really disappointing for me because I was excited to go back and like just have the experience.

Speaker 3 Did you know that Justin was going to be there? Yeah.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 3 And did you guys talk before?

Speaker 1 Yes. We had a phone call right before Paradise.
Okay.

Speaker 1 Just kind of saying we have each other's back. Yes.
Yeah. Kind of.

Speaker 1 We basically were in like no contact for three months before. And, but we also both knew that we had been contacted right after our breakup.

Speaker 1 And I think for both of us, it was like probably too, we were, I think that was the sentiment for both of us where it was like, hey, like, we just came out of a relationship, probably too soon.

Speaker 1 Touch base with us later.

Speaker 1 And, you know, we have the same manager. We have this similar friend group.
Like, we both knew that the other was going. And I reached out and was like, hey, we should probably have a conversation.

Speaker 1 And so we just kind of set boundaries of like, what's appropriate to talk about? What we don't want to talk about.

Speaker 1 Also, like, we aired out anything that we needed to air out before going. Like, we didn't like, we have a real world relationship.

Speaker 1 And like, yeah, we're going on a show, but like, I'm not interested in like airing that out. And so, yeah, we just kind of like set boundaries and said everything we needed to say.

Speaker 1 And we both acknowledged like there's so much love here. Like, we definitely were not going to make this hell for each other because we could have, like, for sure, you know.

Speaker 1 Four months fresh out of a relationship on a dating show. What could go wrong? No, literally.
I was way too optimistic. Why did it all go wrong?

Speaker 3 I was pissed. I was, I was pissed that you both left.
It seemed crazy. Like, did they just not have enough beds?

Speaker 1 I think it was.

Speaker 3 a living situation. Honestly, it's just like they bring a bunch, it just seemed like they got rid of a bunch of people right before

Speaker 3 they brought in the seniors. And is it just like a room situation?

Speaker 1 I don't know if it was a room and bed or if it was like the amount of goldens that were there versus us. It like that kind of equals out to what I think old paradise was, like the numbers.

Speaker 1 So maybe that was more so like, oh, this is the amount of numbers that there typically are. So it had to be split between goldens and young contestants, younger at 31, younger contestants.

Speaker 1 So I don't, I don't know exactly, but for as much as like people are saying, oh, they're trying to be Love Island, I'm like, this is where they should have taken a note from Love Island's book.

Speaker 1 I'm like,

Speaker 1 leave us vulnerable. Like, okay, I didn't get a rose.
Keep me here for another date. And I'm vulnerable.
And one person goes home of the four girls that came in.

Speaker 1 But I was like, okay, you get you producing.

Speaker 1 Literally.

Speaker 1 Well, it does feel like I, and I don't remember this.

Speaker 1 Obviously, we haven't had Bachelor Bachelor in Paradise in a minute, so I don't really remember, but I feel like there's like the Rose ceremonies every night with like so many people going home. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Is it normal? Like, I felt like an old Bachelor, it was like every like two episodes, three episodes, there was a Rose ceremony. Is that wrong?

Speaker 3 You know, it depends on how often the air and frequencies and things like that, but it is like

Speaker 3 you and Justin and Lexi, which Lexi had like on her joy season, correct? Right? Was it Joy season? There was like some bachelorette, like

Speaker 3 you know,

Speaker 3 talk, fandom. Like, she, she has some pull.
Like, even Sam, the villain from Gen Season, like, he was there for four minutes.

Speaker 3 And now they, and, and it's just like, I'm trying to forget who, you know, and Zoe. I mean, Zoe was like Zoe, a star.
Like, what?

Speaker 3 Oh, my God. She was comic relief.
And then they bring home

Speaker 3 what's his fucking name?

Speaker 1 He calls himself the Barbie fucking name.

Speaker 3 He's the politician's son.

Speaker 1 Sean.

Speaker 3 I don't fucking care about him.

Speaker 3 Like, it is wild.

Speaker 1 I'd rather see if Sean has an arc.

Speaker 1 Sam, it kind of does feel like there's not enough producing.

Speaker 1 You know, it's like we do need a little bit of like, okay, maybe you weren't chosen, but like, you're still going to stay because we need you for the television show and give you another chance.

Speaker 1 And if it doesn't work out then, then, like, okay,

Speaker 3 why not take Jeremy up on his offer?

Speaker 1 To come back? Yeah. Oh, I was sick to my stomach after everything that happened.
I was like, no way I'm going back. Also, knowing I would be walking into a love triangle, I was like, no, I felt,

Speaker 1 I was really disappointed how everything went. And I was like,

Speaker 1 and also, transparently, I knew who was coming in next.

Speaker 1 I had figured out

Speaker 1 Andrew.

Speaker 1 Yeah. And I, and I, and, and following, like, you know, as the season goes on, like, I know who

Speaker 1 ends up coming to the beach.

Speaker 3 And you were like, yuck.

Speaker 1 No, not even yuck. But if you look at the, if you look, if you look at their faces,

Speaker 1 a lot of interested scenario.

Speaker 1 Whoa, not my dad.

Speaker 1 Really trying to be safe here.

Speaker 1 No, but I just knew. I mean, if you look at like, in general, me being down there, it's like my ex, Justin, Jonathan, who is a mutual friend of ours, not available to me.

Speaker 1 And then Andrew coming in, his best friend. His best friend.
Like, the pickings were slim. Like, even for somebody who isn't me, the the pickings were slim.
So, I knew what was available to me.

Speaker 1 And I was like, you know what? I really gave it my best shot. And, like, and also, it would have felt,

Speaker 1 I don't know, I don't think I could have gone back knowing that what happened with Justin. I, I just felt so bad.
I was like, did you know saying no to his rose would send him home?

Speaker 1 No, and that is why I was so sick. Sorry, there's just breaking news.
Jax Taylor's not returning to season three of The Valley.

Speaker 1 Are they looking for someone to fill his spot?

Speaker 1 I did not get any entertainment.

Speaker 1 Oh my gosh, she's free. Her schedule's clear.
Her schedule is suddenly clear. I don't know if you're watching Bachelor of Paradise, but I am home.

Speaker 3 Do you think you could fill those shoes?

Speaker 1 No, I couldn't. Actually,

Speaker 1 I jacked Taylor. No.

Speaker 1 I don't know.

Speaker 1 I need the rebrand. He needs to focus on his recovery and Bravo future is uncertain.
You know what I'm saying? So

Speaker 1 let's see. Through his team, Taylor has issued a statement saying he's stepping away from the Bravo show himself in order to focus on his recovery and mental health.

Speaker 1 After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I feel like they weren't probably that honest. I'll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley.

Speaker 1 Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and co-parenting relationship. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself, especially for our son Cruz.

Speaker 1 I don't feel like he wrote that either.

Speaker 3 Is it nicely written?

Speaker 1 Yeah, it's pretty good. It's a pretty good

Speaker 1 thing. I'm also like, I just, I don't believe that he willingly stepped down from this the way that this is just like it was amicable.
I need to focus on this.

Speaker 1 And like, I'm okay with Brittany still being on the show. Like, no.
Anyone who says it's amicable. Yeah, like he was taken away in like chains, like dragged by his ankles, fingernails popped off.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I feel like that's my go-to, though.
It's amicable.

Speaker 1 Everything's amicable. Everything can be amicable.

Speaker 3 I will say, I did enjoy the Goldens more than I thought I would.

Speaker 1 I I did too. I was a little nervous

Speaker 1 with statements and things that were released before them coming on, of course.

Speaker 1 But again, it's giving me that wholesome feeling again, watching like the two, the two couple, the couple that's like forming right now, where I was just like, oh, they're being playful in the pool.

Speaker 1 It's so cute.

Speaker 3 Question for, I don't think Natalie saw this scene. She was putting River to bed.

Speaker 1 Sorry, my mother.

Speaker 1 Sorry, Nick was busy watching TV.

Speaker 3 Am I crazy? And did you watch? did. I don't think you watched that.

Speaker 1 I was, yeah.

Speaker 3 Did you think Captain Kim was just a little creep?

Speaker 1 A little fresh? A little, little handsy? She did not like the massage.

Speaker 1 I couldn't tell. She was

Speaker 3 April. And she was like, she says, my toes are curling.

Speaker 1 I did see that. But that could be like in like relaxed.

Speaker 3 It was hard to tell, honestly. I wasn't sure.

Speaker 1 And then she was like, she goes, I guess, or something like that.

Speaker 4 Jack was like worried that, worried about it.

Speaker 1 And I was like, Jack, you've got nothing to worry about. about.
Well,

Speaker 3 he's got a briefcase full of Viagra for his boys.

Speaker 1 Literally.

Speaker 4 I don't think he'll be giving any to Captain.

Speaker 3 I do want to get Keith to do like a get some voiceover work.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah. I love that.

Speaker 3 He needs to get on Calm, the Calm app, and read like some kind of lullaby.

Speaker 1 Nick will have it on repeat. Everything.
Oh, no.

Speaker 3 Yes. I need this for me.

Speaker 1 I think we should hire Keith to do something. I can't watch River Sleeping anymore.

Speaker 1 Or we can have him narrate your slow-motion video.

Speaker 1 This is Nick. Oh my God, genius.

Speaker 1 Wow, that's good. That's good.
That's good stuff.

Speaker 1 So the thing that was really concerning for me, though, is that I was like, I always thought that it was going to be like the Goldens going for the youngers.

Speaker 1 I didn't see Jonathan kind of coming out last minute being like, you know, well, April did say where her room number is. So like, maybe you have to stay to get a rose.

Speaker 1 And I was like, Jonathan, I didn't see this for you.

Speaker 3 April does, I mean, at least this is how it's edited. April looks like she's trying to fuck Jonathan.
And honestly, honestly i take back all of my concerns about age gaps on the show if

Speaker 1 this is the circumstances

Speaker 3 that happens if

Speaker 1 i think it's gonna happen do you think they're gonna hook up i do jonathan would be a national treasure they're not hooking up what they're this is bachelor in paradise they're not hooking up i mean like i mean it's a new paradise were you were you

Speaker 1 the challenge the kissing booth people i was like

Speaker 1 kissing curtain curtain i was disappointed that i wasn't there earlier but i wasn't disappointed that I missed that.

Speaker 3 That is a big difference between Love Island and Paradise is that when you see people make out on Bachelor of Paradise, it is very uncomfortable

Speaker 3 for the audience.

Speaker 1 I will say on Love Island, these challenges, they feel like a performance. So it's almost like it's so crazy.
I'm sure there's like adrenaline and there's like slime splashing and it's like wild.

Speaker 1 Where then on The Bachelor, it was like you walk into like a meditation room and it's like, now we're going to make out.

Speaker 1 It's It's like, here's the guy. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Swiped right now. Have an awkward conversation before.
Hey, man.

Speaker 1 Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 Did you get to know Kat much?

Speaker 1 A little bit. This was the most I've spent time with her.
How was she?

Speaker 1 She was great. She was so great.
Like, I obviously was there. very briefly, but in the quick amount of time I got with her, I thought she was fabulous and she was like very warm and welcoming to me.

Speaker 1 Cause I've only really, I think I've met her before, but I've only really gotten to know her through TV.

Speaker 1 and i was like a little nervous at first just being like oh there's some big personalities here but she was lovely okay i do like her i feel like she's very much like i'm crazy and i don't give a fuck yeah yeah i'm here to be crazy and i had some conversations with her where she was like i with a lot of people dale as well i had a conversation with dale that was so lovely and both of them feel like people that really want to work on themselves and like cat had made a few comments to me where she was like you know i need to be with somebody who maybe has their life together.

Speaker 1 Maybe not life, but has theirself together a little bit more. And she's like, I'm really working on myself and investing in myself.

Speaker 1 And I need someone who's okay with like being on that journey with me. And I was like,

Speaker 1 the self-awareness, like, I love it. Yeah.
Okay.

Speaker 3 Because I honestly wasn't sure if they had anything in common other than both being hot.

Speaker 1 I don't know if they have anything in common other than, I don't know, but I wasn't apart either. They're working on themselves.
I had to ask those questions. Yeah.

Speaker 1 But then I also, yeah, I had a conversation with Dale and I was like, I was like, wow, there's like layers to this person who really just looks like a beautiful Greek god statue that's like walking.

Speaker 1 And I'm like, who like, I'm like, there's a, there's a person in there. Like, I have no idea, you know? Do you feel like he's kind of the like all-star of Bachelor in Paradise a little bit?

Speaker 1 Cause he's like a little older, maybe a little successful, a little more of an OG. Employed, yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 Employed equals success.

Speaker 1 Yeah. People say the quiet part out loud.

Speaker 3 Maybe he's a multi-zillionaire. I don't know.
But I just, I am unaware of the mogul that they portray him to be and what he's been doing to mogul.

Speaker 1 I think he's the person that they were telling me about before going. Like they were like, there's somebody coming that we think

Speaker 1 you are going to really hit it off with. And I'm like, do tell.

Speaker 1 Do tell. Do tell.
Like, put me in, please. They're like, he's older.
He's got a real

Speaker 1 And I'm, and so I was, yeah, you're wrecking your rights. You're like, Who the fuck could it be?

Speaker 1 I, because I started watching like around Hannah B. Colton's time, so I don't have like a lot of context prior.
And I'm assuming someone from way back, I'm like, bring in a 40-year-old, please.

Speaker 1 Like, someone in that range, I'm like, that is literally like, right, that is that sweet

Speaker 1 spot.

Speaker 1 This is that sweet spot. Yeah,

Speaker 1 we like a 40-year-old.

Speaker 1 So I literally, like, they were talking up. Somebody, I think that's who it was.
They, I made it, I thought it was multiple people,

Speaker 1 but I got there and I was like, oh, this is who they're talking about. But he's, he's occupied.
You know, he's been. He was the two.

Speaker 1 Honestly, a little bit of three. Who's the third? Zoe Mixon.
Oh, you know, Allie Joe, Zoe. Yeah.

Speaker 3 I'm so sad they sent Zoe home.

Speaker 1 Her edit was kind of iconic. It was really good.
I mean, her facial expressions.

Speaker 1 The body the body yada yada the like what is your take on brian great television funny i think i think he's fun um was i interested when i was there no like do i think he's gonna like get in i don't know if he's i don't i don't really know what happens to be honest but like i think he's gonna like get engaged get married in the next year like family man probably not but like

Speaker 1 but like really funny to watch

Speaker 1 the entrance of him in the little tuk tuk is that what it was i feel like maybe we fast forward

Speaker 1 Okay,

Speaker 1 funny as hell, a big guy in a little car. I was like, hysterical.
Hysterical. But I don't know, I don't know anything about him.
I didn't have a single conversation with him other than like an intro.

Speaker 1 But

Speaker 1 did Zoe like confide in you at all about her situation with Parisa and Brian? Yeah, she did.

Speaker 1 Yeah, Zoe did confide and she was not happy. And I felt like,

Speaker 1 again, me being amicable queen, I'm like just listening and I'm like, I really don't have context. So I'm like hearing you, but like, I actually don't know.

Speaker 1 I can't really validate anything is how I felt. It's like, I don't know what happened.
Watching Jeremy's reaction to

Speaker 1 Bailey. Bailey going on the date with Andrew.

Speaker 1 What was your opinion? Because I guess you only, you're sitting in an airport. You get a phone call.
Oh, I was, I was actually in transport. Okay.
And a liar. Got it.
I'm a liar.

Speaker 1 Got it. I've got it.
I'm actually literally like, it sounds like you're walking down the jet bridge. You're like, I'm taking out a flight right now.

Speaker 1 I'm actually in the air. So they could have, you turned.
They could have turned the car around. Yes.
Okay.

Speaker 1 I literally was asleep in a transportation. Zoe sitting next to me.

Speaker 1 It was like 10 rings.

Speaker 3 And you were like, oh.

Speaker 1 No, I sound messed up. It's a four-hour car ride.
Let me tell you that. That's the only time I got mad was when I was in that four-hour car ride.
But yeah, I was like in a four-hour car ride.

Speaker 1 I've got a great BTS video of me and the driver.

Speaker 1 we went and got dinner together we literally stopped got a full plated meal like just me and him because zoe stayed in the car we hung out i was asked he's got two young hot sons and i was like zoe in a hot hot car on the side of the road in costa rica literally

Speaker 1 so that's neglig

Speaker 1 yeah i was like do you want to live or do you want to stay in your car so i was like i'm getting dinner with this guy i had a i had two dates in costa rica actually

Speaker 1 i'm telling you i was you hit in love with him at all well he has two hot sons oh yes And he told me about them. How old was he?

Speaker 1 Over 40s. Over 40s.
Yeah. Over under 40s.
Yeah, sure. Got it.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 But the sons are in their 20s, but I was like, I can work with this. I was just at paradise

Speaker 1 with a lot of people who are probably in that same range. What was the question?

Speaker 1 No, watching Jeremy freak out and be like, I need Susie. Get her back.
Where's Susie? Call Susie. Great television, I think.
It made him look a little possessive.

Speaker 1 I mean, maybe that's just how it played out.

Speaker 1 Maybe this is the hot take. I don't know.
I think people really want to stay on the show. I did.
I really wanted to be there. I was like, I because it, yeah.
It didn't look, I honestly wasn't sure.

Speaker 3 That's why I was so pissed because, like, you and Justin, I thought were the biggest stars. And it just kind of looked like they had you come down to be just, we dated.

Speaker 1 We broke up.

Speaker 3 It was sad. And I learned.
Now we're going. Like, we didn't make a mess on Instagram when we broke up.

Speaker 1 Yeah. So now we're here.
So now we're here. We're here to do it.

Speaker 3 In case you didn't believe that we dated.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. It was, it was, it was real.
It was real.

Speaker 3 And see you later.

Speaker 1 No, that's like, that is, I think, a part of it that's disappointing for me is like, I literally had so much fun. And it does look like I'm crying.

Speaker 1 And I've seen a lot of things where people are like, you're just crying over Justin the whole time you're there. I'm like, no, I'm crying because when I arrived, I was like, oh, I'm going home.

Speaker 1 Like, you sent me in with an umbrella. Nobody was really excited to see me.
There really was not a lot of like lights on you. There was, no, I feel like they took,

Speaker 1 yeah. Like, oh, a producer's coming.
They're in all black with an umbrella.

Speaker 1 Literally, that producer with a little bit of lace on her dress is coming. The producer is serving.
Yeah. Okay.
May I ask? She looks great, but she's coming to bring us water bottles or something.

Speaker 1 Like, I realized as soon as I was being sent in, I was like, this is not what I thought it was. And I was really disappointed.

Speaker 1 And when I started crying that night, one, I'm starting the process to get my eggs frozen. I'd just gotten some information back.
Like before getting there. I had shared that.

Speaker 1 That didn't make the cut, not that I would want it to, but like I had shared that with Justin. I said, he knows I'm going through that process, but then he asked me how I was doing.

Speaker 1 And I just started crying because I was like, I'm going home. Like there's nobody here for me.

Speaker 1 Like there is like everyone felt really coupled up, even Jeremy pulling me and then literally going and sitting with Bailey and they're holding hands or kissing. And I'm like, I'm not that girl.

Speaker 1 Like, I'm not going, like, you guys have something. I'm not going to push myself into that.

Speaker 1 And I was like, this just like sucks like I'm not gonna be here long and then I just started crying cuz I was like I was so excited to be there and I feel like yeah the date looked fun But I'm like I don't think it really showed I mean not and they have to chop stuff out because that's that's a show but like I don't think it really showed like I really was just like so excited but I didn't I don't want to take anything from anybody else either you know why do you feel like I mean how many what what day did you come in on what third day like I think it was the end it was either the end of the fourth or the fifth day okay yeah so I guess why do you feel like people were so coupled up so early?

Speaker 1 Yeah, I think that comes back to like, well, I think Spencer is that way. I think Spencer is that kind of guy.
He was like, I found something great. Like, I'm going to hone in on this.

Speaker 1 Like, they hit it off. They were like, match made in heaven from the get-go.
I think Dale and Kat, they fit well together. I mean, he was exploring things, but he had a lot going on.

Speaker 1 And I think maybe, I don't know, but I'm like, maybe Jeremy got so upset because maybe he did feel a connection with me, but felt like, oh, I've got something going.

Speaker 1 And like, this feels like there's longevity. And like, we're both going to be able to stay on the show for a long time.
And like, I think people really wanted to stay.

Speaker 1 And so when he's like realizing, oh, now I'm in jeopardy, like, do I call Susie back to see if I can. So do you feel like people were coupled up and like.

Speaker 1 serious on those couples and less about like, oh, well, let's, it's paradise. Let's keep our options open because they were so nervous of going home.

Speaker 1 They're like, oh, if I just stay coupled up with this one person the whole time, like we'll be here the whole time. I think to an extent, yes.

Speaker 1 But I also think, yeah, I think it's like a, I think it's a balance of like, there were genuine, real connections. I think all three of those connections were pretty strong connections.

Speaker 1 And I think we'll like see that play out throughout the show. Like it seems like they, they were pretty solid.
But I also think it's like, okay, I got a good thing going.

Speaker 1 Like, do I just hang in there? Like, I think, I think it's a balance, genuine connection. And also, like, you know, if I mess this up, then I could go home.
There's very few spots here.

Speaker 1 I also think think that the stakes are a little too high with how quickly and how often we're having these rose ceremonies that it's like no one can genuinely feel like I have time to connect with people and meet people because I could literally be going home if nobody wants me.

Speaker 1 Like the way Jonathan was at the end of this episode, I was like, I don't see this for you in your personality, but he's like, yeah, I don't think she just asked me for the rose, but like, you know, like the roses are coming up and I guess maybe I'll go for April.

Speaker 1 Like, you know what I mean? Where I'm like, I just don't think that that's a decision you would be making if you didn't think that there is an ultimate, you're going to go go home. Right.

Speaker 3 I mean, I was entertained by the episode, though.

Speaker 1 That's good. It is.
I'm glad I served you well.

Speaker 1 I guess I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 I just were complaining a lot about the show. So I do want to acknowledge that I have enjoyed it a little bit, but I'm just, I am confused.

Speaker 3 I think this show has proven over the years, it needs star power. Yeah.
It just does, especially when it comes to the bachelorette and the bachelor. It's just like, you have to have

Speaker 3 stars, you know, and they're just.

Speaker 1 They're just getting rid of their stars.

Speaker 3 Well, or they're just not developing stars. It's just, it's just a lot of like, I mean, I thought Zoe was going to be a star of the season.
She got all this airtime. She's funny.
She's

Speaker 3 reactive. She has good take.
She shares her opinion. And then it's just like, now she's gone.

Speaker 1 I think she's not afraid to. Well, I don't think she wants to look bad, but she's not afraid to look bad.

Speaker 1 And I think that is something with the bachelor franchise where everyone's so afraid of looking bad. She doesn't give a fuck.
And I love her so much. Yeah.

Speaker 1 And I think that's important to have, again, good television. I think Brian's like that.
I think Zoe and Brian are equally like, I'm going to do what I'm going to do.

Speaker 1 And they, I don't even think they're aware of like that it might look bad.

Speaker 1 I think they're just doing what they would do in the real world, where I feel like a lot of people that go on TV in general, now not just the bachelor, but it's like, ooh, it could get in trouble online.

Speaker 1 Like everyone's going to hate me for this.

Speaker 1 Which I get such a different audience, I feel like, who hold people on The Bachelor to such different standards than they do any other reality TV show.

Speaker 1 And I feel like that's why maybe people on Bachelor are so nervous to show that side or be a little messy or be a little raunchy or be a little

Speaker 1 whatever it may be.

Speaker 1 What did you think of the secrets? I was waiting for someone to say they had killed someone.

Speaker 3 I want to know more about the summer playmate.

Speaker 1 What was his name? RJ.

Speaker 3 He was like, yeah, was it a couple he said he serviced?

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 I love how he owned it. He's like, yeah.
Wait, who was it? RJ? RJ? RJ. RJ.
Oh, iconic.

Speaker 3 He was like, yeah, it it was the summer. I lived with this couple.

Speaker 3 I would service them when they need it. It was a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 And I was like,

Speaker 1 it was an old trip that needed a noal change. She's like, and I'd service it.

Speaker 1 He called himself a playmate. Iconic behavior.

Speaker 4 You could tell which secrets were written by the Goldens and which ones weren't based on how it was written and the words that were used.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 Well, Playmate, yeah, I guess is more old school.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 I suppose.

Speaker 1 Tooting and blaming it on the guy next to you. Definitely not a guy.

Speaker 3 That was not an oldie.

Speaker 4 That was not an oldie. That was

Speaker 1 Keith was the one that was cheated on a test. But then we had Kathy, who won, was slept with someone in their home while their partner was in another room.

Speaker 3 Now, that was written as if it could be like, I slept with someone. She was my best friend.

Speaker 1 You know what I'm saying? I slept with someone. We were both really tired.

Speaker 3 It was 2 p.m.

Speaker 1 We took a nap.

Speaker 1 It was at my beach house in the Hamptons. We were in the sun all day.

Speaker 1 You know, we were very, we had some wine. Yeah, we had some wine.
We had some red wine. Got really sleepy.

Speaker 3 Like, it played like she cheated on her husband, but I don't.

Speaker 3 She was kind of like, yeah, how do I get into this hot tub?

Speaker 1 She said, you didn't ask extra questions. Isn't she a widow? I think so.
Kathy? Yeah. Isn't Kathy a widow? Yeah.

Speaker 3 She's like, no, he's dead now.

Speaker 1 She's like, here's, might as well let us get it off my chest.

Speaker 1 I'm going to VIP sweep in the process. I think phone her in.
I feel like get the scoop, right? Yeah. Cause yeah, it could be.
She did say you didn't ask other questions, right?

Speaker 1 We like, we needed her in an ITM in that moment of like

Speaker 1 confessing what it really was. Like, you guys, I just wanted to go in the hot tub.

Speaker 1 I knew no one could beat this. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 We're getting drunk in there.

Speaker 1 What about Leslie being like, let's play two truths in a lie? And she's like, Usher put a lollipop in my mouth. Prince wrote a song song about me.
And what was the other one?

Speaker 5 And then she was like, Actually, they're all true.

Speaker 1 You just wanted to brag, ma'am.

Speaker 1 Kenny Rogers did something to her, wrote a song about her.

Speaker 1 See what you did there. Yeah.
Is she a groupie?

Speaker 1 I chatted with her and she's kind of iconic. I was going to say, she kind of been not long ago.
Yeah. That's like a new thing.
He does like the lollipop thing at the

Speaker 1 concert, right?

Speaker 1 Yeah. Who knew where to put her to get on the big cam? No.

Speaker 1 Literally hook that up. It's kind of giving Taylor Swift when she puts the hat on like a little girl, little kid.

Speaker 1 Except for it's usher in a lollipop, usher in a lollipop, a little freaky leaky, you know what I mean? Definitely. Leslie is a freaky D.
Yeah. I love to hear it.

Speaker 1 Her, and wasn't she the one kind of talking about like if there's a younger,

Speaker 1 I'm open to it, I'm not against it or something.

Speaker 1 I love that.

Speaker 3 Yeah, if any of the golden ladies hook up with any younger men, I'm down.

Speaker 1 Yeah, yeah, but I I don't. They deserve it.
The older men are just.

Speaker 1 No. Absolutely not.
Yeah. Nick was like, to see the older people making out in the pool.
He was like, it's just, you know. It's not your vibe.

Speaker 1 I thought it was so funny. I'm not saying it's getting me going either, but

Speaker 1 yeah. But I am like,

Speaker 1 I'm like, we all need it. Yeah.
You know, they're kind of cute. Yeah, I'm happy they're doing it.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 I just don't want to see her doing it. But it's like, you know, sometimes in sex scenes, you're like, no.

Speaker 1 You know, like, you're really watching. Yeah.
And this is like oh yeah i'll vacuum you know like now's a good time to vacuum

Speaker 1 yeah i'll change the laundry now

Speaker 1 yeah but with like nicole kidman i'm locked in locked in

Speaker 1 yeah i'm locked in don't talk to me i'm very busy i would watch april and jonathan i would watch that too i hope we do why do you feel like jonathan and alex couldn't get there. I don't know.

Speaker 1 I knew they were friends before Paradise. So I don't know if it was like a friend zone situation.

Speaker 1 Because I feel like, honestly, and I've, I said this on an episode prior that obviously we've met Jonathan. We know Justin very well.
They're both very funny. Yeah.
Very charismatic.

Speaker 1 I feel like they're, they've got great banter. And watching them, I was like, oh my God.
Oh, really?

Speaker 1 Like, granted, Justin was with Lexi, who kind of feels maybe like they wouldn't have a good time.

Speaker 3 Well, I get why they sent Lexi home. She was like, if anyone has an an ex-boyfriend, I can't do it.
Yeah, and I cannot date you.

Speaker 1 I cannot be a sick boy.

Speaker 3 I do not want to be the other woman.

Speaker 1 They're like, it was 12 years ago. She's like, I don't know.
It feels too soon.

Speaker 1 Are you over it?

Speaker 1 But then, like, Jonathan, he also seems very funny. And I just felt like him and Alex, maybe Alex is just a quirky girl and she's, you know, an interesting personality and makes things awkward.

Speaker 1 So funny. Yeah.

Speaker 1 I actually find her very entertaining to watch. Like, I think it's almost so quirky that you're like, is it an act? But then it's like, it really keeps happening.

Speaker 1 And you're like, oh my God, this is like real.

Speaker 1 And that to me makes it like endearing. I'm like, oh my God, she's so cute.
And like,

Speaker 1 so

Speaker 1 I, and I invited her to something recently and like, just even like her arriving, like her arrival, it was like, just like chaotic. And I was like, obsessed.

Speaker 1 Like, you are literally, this is like who you are. And I love it.
And it's like, yeah, it's adorable to me. But I compared her to, I think she's like the Amaya Papaya.
She's a bachelor.

Speaker 1 It's like the Amaya Papaya. That's so true.
Alex Wallex. Wallex.
Alex Walleck.

Speaker 1 Maybe ask Chat GBT. I don't know.
I can't think of one.

Speaker 3 Well, Susie, thank you so much for coming.

Speaker 1 Of course.

Speaker 3 I'm going to send you, but come back more often. You're fun.

Speaker 1 Oh, thanks, guys. I say it every time.
And we're like, it'll be like six months later. We're like, hey, Susie, I'm ready again.

Speaker 1 Put me in. I'm down.

Speaker 3 Where can people follow you, find you?

Speaker 1 You can just just follow me on Instagram, Susie C. Evans, TikTok, Susie was like, you know.
Well, before we let you go, where are you and Justin at right now? We're on really good terms.

Speaker 1 I have talked with Justin. I've talked with Lexi.
Adore them both. I think they're both really great people.
And yeah, good, good vibes all around. And I feel like that's

Speaker 1 will you be watching.

Speaker 1 Will you be watching Rachel and Clayton on Perfect Mouse? Oh,

Speaker 1 absolutely. Yes.
I am so ready. I'm locked in.
Yes. Oh, I've heard all the juicy.
See,

Speaker 3 I'm rooting for Clayton. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 I think he deserves some love.

Speaker 1 I know. Yeah, he does.

Speaker 1 He has been through it. He has.
Through the ringer. Yeah.
Well, thanks for joining. Thank you guys for having me.

Speaker 3 Up next, we have the queen of Love Island herself, Amaya Papaya, and Brian join us. And then following them, we have the star of the summer.
I turn pretty, Christopher Briney.

Speaker 3 And then we'll break down a little bit of OC reunion, which we really enjoyed. That was, that was a nice little kickoff to a season.

Speaker 3 We'll talk a little next gen, some Atlanta as well, and then send you on your way.

Speaker 1 But right now, it's time for Amaya and Brian.

Speaker 1 We all know I love

Speaker 1 relaxation, right? I love for things to be zen. I love to, there's nothing better than like cleaning your house and then lighting a candle.
You know what I'm saying? Nothing better.

Speaker 1 And I'm so tired of how fast candles burn. And they sometimes, most of the time, they like rarely even smell like anything.

Speaker 1 You're like, oh my God, I spent $20 on this candle and I can't even smell it when I walk in the house.

Speaker 3 Well, listen, also, if you've ever watched this show on YouTube or Seam Clips, you've probably seen some big ass candles in our studio.

Speaker 3 And big ass luxuries is the place that we get these amazing candles. And like Natalie said, they smell incredible.

Speaker 3 Even when they're not lit, they're so gosh darn big that you smell the scents from the candle.

Speaker 3 It's it's a great way of just like keeping your place smelling all the time even when you're not home because obviously you wouldn't want to leave it lit but you don't have to leave it lit because it you you still smell it it's so big some people might say that candles are bad for your air quality but not big ass luxuries they are clean burning all natural they're made with coconut soy wax organic cotton wicks and free of a lot of those nasty chemicals that you find and many other candles also you get up to a thousand hours of burning candles they're also such a statement piece They double as decor.

Speaker 1 They look great on any coffee table, on any cabinet, on any wherever you're putting them. One big ass candle can replace dozens of small, underwhelming ones.

Speaker 1 Head over to bigassluxuries.com and use code VIALL to get 15% off your order. That's VIALL or use the QR code on screen and the discount will automatically be applied at checkout.

Speaker 3 Amaya and Brian, welcome to the show. We're so excited to talk with you guys.

Speaker 4 Happy to be here. Yes.
Thank you for having us here.

Speaker 3 I just want to start with Amaya. I've never, like, I've never had someone make me feel so happy by watching someone else be so happy.

Speaker 3 Like the way, and I think that, I feel like I speak for America in that sense. It's just like you had such an appreciation for each moment.

Speaker 3 I think we just live in a time where we're just all taking shit for granted and we're complaining about shit. So it's just like when you were talking about your connection with.
Brian and everyone.

Speaker 3 No, no, no joke. Like you brought tears to my eyes.
And I just want to thank you for that. And I just think sometimes we watch these shows and we're, and we love the drama and shit like that.

Speaker 3 But you brought a new level of drama in the best possible way. And it was like happy drama.
And it was, um, it was just great to see.

Speaker 4 Thank you so much, Nick. Like, one of my passions is definitely to just be the light in Solomon's darkness and to turn that from upside down.

Speaker 4 So I'm happy that my energy was able to be resonated and recognized by so many people.

Speaker 1 do you know how many things that you have said throughout this show that just have taken this world and like flipped it upside down oh my god i am now catching up to my phrases my intrusive thoughts sensitive gangster what's up

Speaker 4 um but i just really just be talking to myself and just

Speaker 4 I be my own best friend. I just literally just say whatever comes to my mind.
So man, I guess I found out today that those are metaphors.

Speaker 4 Of course, I learned about metaphors before, but I totally forgot about it.

Speaker 5 I'm like, okay, you know what?

Speaker 1 That is my language.

Speaker 1 I mean, just like the,

Speaker 1 I mean, my heart rate is being tachycardic right now. Like the way that you speak is just honestly so refreshing to see.
It's so fun. It's like, do I ask like where that comes from?

Speaker 1 I guess it's just like.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 Have you always been this witty?

Speaker 4 Yeah. So to be honest with you, I'm a big journaler.
So I like, I write down my journals every single day about my deep thoughts. And I also love poetry.
So I think that's what that comes from it too.

Speaker 4 That's the origin. And if you ever meet my father, you'll understand where the wittiness comes from.
Cause my dad would quit.

Speaker 3 Brian, I want to give you props, man. During the stand down business challenge, when the rest of the men decided to just unleash on Amaya, you quickly stood up and had Amaya's back.

Speaker 3 And I've said this multiple times on the show. I just don't think people fully appreciate, and this is a credit to both of you, because Amaya, you did this throughout the show.

Speaker 3 You always want to feel like you're part of the group in these, in these atmospheres. Like it's so scary to be isolated

Speaker 3 and to stand out and not be part of the group.

Speaker 3 But obviously in that moment, Brian, you stood up and you guys weren't even a couple at this point and had Amaya's back. So props to you, but also just like, what were you feeling in that moment?

Speaker 3 And why were you so compelled to speak up to Amaya? And have you always been someone who hasn't been a follower?

Speaker 5 Yeah, I appreciate that, Nick. Uh, honestly, yeah, I've never been a follower.
I think my mom's always told me, like, speak up to what you believe in.

Speaker 5 And I have my own thoughts and my own opinions, so I'm gonna let it be known when it's time.

Speaker 5 And at the time, it was three guys against Amaya, and Amaya was standing her ground, and it just felt natural. It's I feel like it was something regarding our culture and everything.

Speaker 5 And I just felt like I really needed to speak up. That's just how we talk.
And yeah.

Speaker 4 Yeah. We love a man with his own voice, his own mind, and able to stand up for something that he feels strongly about.

Speaker 1 I really think, Amaya, you've given all of the women who have been told they're too much or their personality is too big, like such a voice, and you've made all of these women feel so seen.

Speaker 1 What does that feel like to you?

Speaker 4 It feels very empowering. I feel like I'm tired of the narrative,

Speaker 4 people's emotions being viewed as a weakness.

Speaker 4 I think it's time to completely change that narrative around and let it be known that us expressing ourselves and us showing our emotions and wearing your heart on your sleeves is powerful and strength.

Speaker 4 So to see that

Speaker 4 I'm able to show a lot of people that side. is really amazing and I'm blessed.

Speaker 4 You also didn't have anyone running your Instagram account you were like one of the i mean the only person which honestly america loved we were like she's really there for the right reasons she's i was like it like honestly the last person i like people i called was my mom and my dad i'm like mom i'm not getting kidnapped i'm in fiji you'll hear from me just know i'm not being kidnapped but i really it did not cross my mind i didn't even care about it to be honest with you so to come and get back my phone and see the love and support that Brian and I have was, it took me away.

Speaker 4 I was gagged.

Speaker 1 God, I can't imagine what that would have been like. I mean, like to have one of the highest following count, like leaving this show and just so much support behind the two of you as a couple.

Speaker 1 I mean, Brian, like you have, y'all have to get married. You have to get married.
You have to have a million children.

Speaker 3 No pressure. No pressure.

Speaker 1 No choice.

Speaker 5 Yeah. We will get there eventually.

Speaker 1 At some point, at some point.

Speaker 3 Amaya, the moment I fell in love with you on the show, obviously, of course,

Speaker 3 was

Speaker 1 you can fall in love with her, please.

Speaker 3 And I just want to say, I was on the Amaya train from the jump early on.

Speaker 1 Like from

Speaker 1 the ACE argument on the dock.

Speaker 3 Oh, I was just like, no, she's so fucking real. Like, I just.
So obviously that ace moment one just props to you because again, I just like

Speaker 3 already you're coming in as a bombshell. Ace was such a strong personality.

Speaker 3 Like, how did you read that situation? Because I loved it. How, how, and I thought you were incredibly poised, but strong.
And you're like,

Speaker 3 I see what's going on, you know? Like, did you feel like he was like just maneuvering?

Speaker 3 Did you feel like you were being played in that moment?

Speaker 4 To be honest with you, like, yes, like Ace and I are, we're cool now. We already like caught a truth.

Speaker 4 But like, looking back at that moment, I really did not care to to speak out for myself and to speak on what i think was going on and i didn't like the way i was feeling and i'm the type of woman that if we're together and you're making me feel a type of way or making me feel like i need to change anything about myself i definitely would advocate for myself especially if i have nobody else advocating for me and i didn't care about playing as safe i knew i put myself in multiple vulnerable positions by even speaking up my mind and cutting off the connections that I knew that wasn't right for me.

Speaker 4 But I didn't care because I went there to find my right bond and find the man that's right for me. So if it was the case where me and Ace were not clicking, well, guess what? Turn off the TV, baby.

Speaker 4 Like turn, switch the whole remote around.

Speaker 1 There was a moment where Huda had some feelings about you in the beginning when you came in. Did she end up telling you the things that she said about you?

Speaker 4 Yeah, now like we like that's one of my closest friends so like the other day we we started laughing about what was being said and what was what she said about me um

Speaker 4 but you know at the time i guess her and jermiah just had a really strong connection and she was being protective with him

Speaker 4 so

Speaker 3 okay uh brian where are you from where do you live i'm from boston Oh shit, you guys are perfect. We love that.
Train right away.

Speaker 3 Amaya, I ran in online. I ran into what I think was you like talking about dating in New York.
Again, loved the passion.

Speaker 3 But I'd love, you know, like New York, our biggest city, dating today is such a struggle for everyone out there.

Speaker 3 But I would just love to hear, like, now that you're, you know, in a relationship, what advice do you have for the people out there, specifically for the ladies?

Speaker 3 of things to watch things to watch out for in dating.

Speaker 4 And just like, you are someone who clearly is good at knowing your worth setting and communicating your boundaries uh and that's just not easy for a lot of people to do so what are some like a maya you know do's and don'ts of dating um and in new york or just anywhere abroad to just always trust your intuition that's my biggest do like and not even necessarily just for a woman but for a man too like if you feel like something's off and something's not right always trust and believe that our feelings are powerful and we feel them for for a reason.

Speaker 4 One of my biggest don'ts is to never change yourself. Never feel like you have to settle for less.
And if you're too much for somebody, guess what? Tell them to go find less.

Speaker 4 And to always, one of my other biggest views is to just always have hope and faith. Like there's always somebody for somebody out there.

Speaker 4 And just because you're not with your person currently doesn't mean you would never be with your person. But self-love is one of the biggest things too.

Speaker 4 And if you don't don't completely love yourself, you would never be able to properly love somebody else.

Speaker 1 That's amazing. That's really good.

Speaker 3 What was your biggest kind of like tragic New York dating story?

Speaker 4 Oh my God.

Speaker 4 I got drunk on a date before.

Speaker 4 This is when I was like freshly 21, too much margaritas in my system. We were on our way back.

Speaker 4 And I started to freestyle the whole the whole car ride, but it was for one hour. So eventually it's like, yo, shut the fuck up.

Speaker 4 He ended up blocking me.

Speaker 1 Wait, how did you keep having rhymes?

Speaker 4 Yo, first of all, you know what? FM, he's not a fun guy to begin with. But

Speaker 4 my friend ended up finding his Twitter and he posted a whole tweet saying, what would you do if you're on a date with a girl? And she just starts rapping the whole date. And

Speaker 4 it went viral. People were like actually mean.
They're like, I would jump out the car window, blah, blah, blah. But whatever.
Like, now I have somebody who loves my freestyle.

Speaker 1 You, I mean, you're like good at freestyling. We saw a clip of it while you were in the villa and you're very quick on it.
You're very quick on it.

Speaker 3 Can we drop a beat? Can we get like a Maya freestyle about

Speaker 3 Brian?

Speaker 5 The New York come out of it.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Do you need a beat or do you just kind of do it off rip?

Speaker 5 Okay.

Speaker 4 All right, let me see what I could come with. Okay.

Speaker 4 Maya and Brian sitting in the tree. You already know that we're going to be in nyc looking crispy and clean fresh like listen

Speaker 4 we are meant to be this is me and this is him big family

Speaker 1 give her a record deal right now

Speaker 1 yeah i'm telling you that's put her to work

Speaker 1 Like, I just don't see. I mean, and I'm so sorry to all of your patients and your coworkers.
I don't see how you can go back to nursing. You're just far too talented.

Speaker 4 Listen, I get so rap to my patients too. Like, once again, I I love just being the positive light in somebody's life.

Speaker 4 So I would go in the room and be like, hey, you want a quick little treat breath right now, brother?

Speaker 5 And then they'll be like, yeah.

Speaker 3 What kind of nursing did you do? Like what space were you in the hospital? Were you in the doctor's office? What were you doing?

Speaker 4 I was in the hospital, cardiac nurse, working 12-hour shifts. And I've been a nurse since I was 21.
So it's about to be like four years now. And yeah,

Speaker 4 something I'm like passionate about.

Speaker 3 Well, when I met Natalie, she was a surgical tech, very passionate about what she did. And then I was like, oh, my wife's a star.

Speaker 3 And I was like, oh,

Speaker 3 why don't you just kind of do this with me? But, you know, all jokes aside, you know, you have this passion for nursing, but you really are like, you know.

Speaker 3 You've been discovered and I think you bring a lot of joy and excitement to people. And this space isn't for everyone, but it really seems like it's for you.

Speaker 3 Do you think you are open to exploring what possibilities come your way, even though it might take you away from another passion like nursing?

Speaker 4 Yeah, no, I'm definitely very much open.

Speaker 4 And I'm always a big believer that the way you treat people is

Speaker 4 how you define who you are. So as long as I keep on living with that mantra in my head and keep on reminding myself who Amaya is and where her roots come from, then yeah, 100% I will always be open.

Speaker 4 But I definitely do see myself going back to school

Speaker 4 sometime in the future.

Speaker 3 What would would you want to go back for phd so i could become a professor um in a nursing university wow that's amazing and i apologize brian i i didn't know what were you doing before the show i was doing a couple things i was an investment accountant and i was a real estate investor okay all right so are you going back to those two uh probably not investment accounting real estate investing hell yeah okay that's all right all right

Speaker 3 i was an accounting major back in the day and then i sold oh where are you oh we got something coming

Speaker 3 it's so fun right yeah i i hated it and then you know

Speaker 4 uh and then i sold software uh for a while and then and then here we are amaya you got a dm from fenty beauty right so what did what was the dm what did the dm say um definitely about working together um and being open to that opportunity so i cannot wait to get it started.

Speaker 4 Anybody who knows me knows that Rihanna has been one of my biggest persons or like women that I look up to. So, this is a really huge moment for me.
I love my bad girl re-rease.

Speaker 1 Yes. I mean, so much was happening surrounding you while you were in the villa that I'm sure you had no idea about.
I mean, there was Poppy who created a whole Amaya Papaya drink related to you.

Speaker 1 I mean, like, did you just come out being like, oh, what the fuck's going on?

Speaker 4 I was like, whoa, like, Amaya Papaya is a really,

Speaker 4 it's my name now, guys. I have, when I have our kids, Papaya's going to drink

Speaker 4 going to becoming out, but the love is really amazing. And I cannot wait to try that Amaya Babaya drink.

Speaker 3 I am curious because, like, obviously, you guys don't know what's going on in the world. And, like, you know, America quickly started, you know, falling in love with you, Amaya.

Speaker 3 But at first, you, you had a lot of struggles, right? You had the whole ACE confrontation, and then it was you in Austin, and then you had all these guys telling you what you were doing wrong.

Speaker 3 And it really felt like you were struggling struggling to settle in. You know, it's just like you're always standing up for yourself.
And that must obviously emotionally just be very draining.

Speaker 3 With like, I mean, obviously you're a very humble person, but truly, like, did you like, what was that like in the moment when you realized that America fucks with you and like you were just like

Speaker 3 the fan favorite?

Speaker 4 Dude, first of all, I felt so misunderstood for weeks at a time. Like it was back to back.
And I'm like, damn, like, I'm just being myself.

Speaker 4 And nobody in the Veda currently, you know, besides the girls, was resonating with that. And I'm like, what am I doing wrong?

Speaker 4 I came in with a strong cookie of confidence and I was so scared of that cookie being crumbled. So during that challenge and seeing how much support I have, I really want to, can I curse?

Speaker 1 Yes. I want this to be like, fuck you all.

Speaker 1 Fuck you all.

Speaker 4 Like, this is just a true testimony to never ever change and to never let doubt keep you in the cage.

Speaker 1 Brian, did you get a chance to talk to Amaya much in Casa that we didn't get to see? Or when did you finally feel like you got to, you know, invest in this relationship with Amaya?

Speaker 5 Yeah, honestly, in Casa, it was kind of just a group thing. We never really chatted one-on-one.
It was just friendship.

Speaker 5 And then once we got to the villa, and after a couple of days, we finally had a one-on-one chat. And I was like, oh shit, there's something here.

Speaker 5 Like, we had so much in common, and there was a spark there. And we're like, let's see how far it takes us.
And

Speaker 5 now you see how far it's taking us.

Speaker 1 from the bottom now we can

Speaker 5 i mean how far is it taking y'all do y'all like what are y'all's plans obviously i know you're so so busy right now but like do y'all have y'all made plans for what's next yeah we definitely want to prioritize each other and uh take time to ourselves and yeah we got our phones back we checked on family and we're catching up but we definitely want to take time for ourselves as well yeah like the more i get to know brian the more i want to get to know him so i'm really excited to keep on peeing in the layers back and just really, really seeing who he is for who he is.

Speaker 3 Amaya, back to when you found out you were America's fan fave. Did

Speaker 3 anyone in the villa switch up a little bit and start treating you a little bit differently?

Speaker 4 I mean, listen, you know, I'm going to always keep it real. Zach was definitely, Zach with the K was definitely the main one who just.

Speaker 4 Oh, let's be friends. Let's like actually work this out.
Let's talk like,

Speaker 4 you know, I'm the only one that understands you.

Speaker 4 He kept on trying to provide me with that reassurance and yeah it was just like clearly i seen through the bullshit um i don't have the best vision but when it came down to that my eyes were 2020.

Speaker 4 so it was like i clocked it and i'm gonna see things classy but definitely not fucking with you it was crazy how he went from you know,

Speaker 1 the two of you having the conversation of you being like, hey, checking in here. He's like, no, all good.
Then stand on business. He has a bunch of issues.

Speaker 1 And then to find out you're America's favorite and to say he understands you the best. Like, clearly, you didn't because you just had a bunch of fucking issues with me.
Right.

Speaker 4 I don't know why I intimidate so much people from just being honest with me because it's like, I like, I don't, I don't, I'm not as explosive as people may seem. Like, we could have a conversation.

Speaker 4 I'm not scary.

Speaker 4 I don't bite.

Speaker 1 You said bite him, baby.

Speaker 5 shine so bright you gotta throw the shades on

Speaker 4 if i shine too bright look the other way and buy some sunglasses

Speaker 1 when you were in the hideaway what did you mean when you said bite them baby

Speaker 1 oh

Speaker 4 take it my feet right now

Speaker 5 they said they said good memories y'all bringing back good friends

Speaker 1 Brian, all they showed was your foot. They said this man, Brian, is doing gang signs.

Speaker 5 My friends are going at me. They said they were throwing gang signs.
I was like, it's like that.

Speaker 1 The Biden baby.

Speaker 3 When you guys are in that moment, does it feel as surreal as most people imagine where you're like, you know, how many like conversations did you guys have?

Speaker 3 Like, is like, is this like, is this our lives right now? Is this really happening? Like, what did that all feel like?

Speaker 5 I think we were so like in tune with each other like right away. Like we didn't really realize anything.
Like every time we got the chance to talk one-on-one, like, we made the most out of that shit.

Speaker 5 Like,

Speaker 5 we were just like so in tune until, like, the finale, we're like, oh, shit, like, we're in the finale, like, us too.

Speaker 4 Like, well, typically, when Ariana was like, and there's a grand prize, we all looked at each other. We're like, oh, shit, we took

Speaker 4 drama that goes on there.

Speaker 4 That is just like, especially when you're being genuine and really focusing on prioritizing conversations and your connections, you, you'll be surprised how sometimes you forget you're being recorded.

Speaker 4 The cameras look like security cameras, so small. Like,

Speaker 5 yeah, and right away, I was telling her, like, be you, and she was telling me, be me. And I think we stuck with that the whole time.
And that's why people fucked with us so hard.

Speaker 5 And it was like, we would forget that there's cameras, like, we're in a show and shit like that. So it was like, oh, we won.
And then it was like, we started, we got the zoomies and stuff.

Speaker 5 So after it was like, hold on, there's money. We're like, oh, shit, we forgot about that.

Speaker 1 Where do the zoomies come from? Have you always been a person who gets excited and starts running?

Speaker 4 So I like to run. Like, and I always like run Central Park or whatever.
And in the middle, it was an evil job. So when I have this high burst of energy, the zoomies just come and take over.

Speaker 4 And now I got myself some mommy who does marathon. So the zoomies is no issue for him.

Speaker 1 I think a lot of people don't know.

Speaker 5 She'll be off like eight espresso shots too. So I don't even know about that.

Speaker 1 That's crazy.

Speaker 1 How do you

Speaker 1 like, you're already you, and then to do eight espresso shots. It's like

Speaker 5 eight espresso shots. Shorty got the zoomies.

Speaker 1 She got to get that energy out.

Speaker 4 Yeah.

Speaker 4 Release it, baby.

Speaker 5 Release it.

Speaker 1 Release it.

Speaker 1 Oh, my gosh. Y'all are such a trip.
What is Brian's nickname?

Speaker 4 I like to call him Bri Brian.

Speaker 5 Bri Brian.

Speaker 4 That's what his name is. Say he's only a film.

Speaker 3 He doesn't mind have a pet name yet, Brian.

Speaker 5 A pet name. I call him me and one.
Keep it real, cultural.

Speaker 3 We love to see it.

Speaker 3 Were you both Love Island fans going in? Did you watch?

Speaker 4 So to be honest, I never watch a full series or a full season, but I feel like once you spend enough time on TikTok and you put clips together, you get the just of the show, like what's going on, who has like drama with who, who's together.

Speaker 4 So I would watch a bunch of TikTok clips and I was like, okay, like this show is very interesting. I like it.

Speaker 5 Yeah, I didn't have TikTok until like a couple of days ago. So on Instagram, I'd see like certain clips of it, and I was like, Oh shit, like this is a fire show.

Speaker 1 When did you find out that Justin Bieber was watching and loving Love Island?

Speaker 4 Um, literally, on live with uh, when I was with Hella,

Speaker 4 um, I think somebody commented, and keep in mind, that was my first TikTok live I ever done, like on my own. So, I we went on.

Speaker 4 It's me and Hella, she's sitting on my lap, and somebody comments something about JB posting us, us, or and we're like, ain't no way.

Speaker 4 Like, what? This is crazy. We, we're all listening to JB all the time.

Speaker 1 It is crazy. I mean, he has his new album out.
I'm sure you, there's so much that, like, you have to catch up on being gone.

Speaker 1 What is like the first thing? Is it a show? Is it music? Is it like going back to your favorite restaurants? Like, what is it that you want to do?

Speaker 4 Oh,

Speaker 4 like, I have to go back to my favorite restaurants. I have to.

Speaker 4 I mean, Fijian food is beautiful and amazing but i miss my dominican food like like i'm going to literally run to my favorite restaurant out there yeah the spanish food we was definitely missed we talk about like

Speaker 4 everything didn't have any good spices in in the villa no they did they brought us adoboble ice

Speaker 4 i didn't see that but

Speaker 1 i didn't even know that yes i mean ryan you weren't really cooking like that often.

Speaker 5 I'm going to be honest. I ain't no cook.

Speaker 5 My job during breakfast time when we were bringing up the girls was cut up fruit and plate everybody's plates. I wasn't really a cook.

Speaker 1 You did a great job, John.

Speaker 3 What are your guys's love languages?

Speaker 4 Physical touch,

Speaker 5 affirmation. Yeah, physical touch.
And I would say probably quality time.

Speaker 1 Okay. Yeah.
Well, we have a fun little newlywed game

Speaker 1 if y'all want to play. If y'all want to play?

Speaker 5 Let's do it. Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 1 I guess we'll just do,

Speaker 1 we'll ask you a question and then we'll have Brian answer first and then Amaya answer next. Okay.
What actor or actress, dead or alive, would play Amaya in a movie? Oh, ooh.

Speaker 5 Oof, that's tough.

Speaker 5 Probably J Lo.

Speaker 1 Oh, okay. Body is tea.
Body is tea.

Speaker 1 Okay, Jenny from the block. All right, Amaya, who's playing Brian?

Speaker 4 Orlando Bloom.

Speaker 1 Oh.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 Who has the worst handwriting out of the two of you?

Speaker 5 I type. So my handwriting looks like a five-year-old.

Speaker 1 If your partner was a wild animal, what would they be?

Speaker 5 What's the wildest animal out there?

Speaker 1 That's probably who I am. Honey Badger.

Speaker 3 Honey Badger. Ever seen those Honey Badger videos where they just fuck shit up?

Speaker 4 For him, I would be a leopard.

Speaker 1 A leopard?

Speaker 1 Is he fast? Yeah, are you fast? He does run marathons.

Speaker 4 Oh, wait, yeah. Well, yeah, but like his eyes, like he has the eyebrows,

Speaker 4 the mystery.

Speaker 1 Oh, okay.

Speaker 3 Who is most likely to steal food from each other's plate?

Speaker 4 I think, I don't know.

Speaker 5 I don't know.

Speaker 5 That's a good question. You think you?

Speaker 4 I think I might. Like, if he orders something different, I definitely will like.

Speaker 1 You gotta title it.

Speaker 5 Yeah, it's probably hers.

Speaker 1 Gotta try. What's your go-to karaoke song?

Speaker 3 Or yeah, can you guess if you don't know?

Speaker 5 Like, guess hers?

Speaker 3 Yeah. you guess what would be her karaoke go-to song?

Speaker 1 What is the violin song?

Speaker 5 Oh,

Speaker 4 that's just the way.

Speaker 1 Yeah, she was singing that non-stop for like a week.

Speaker 5 Non-stop.

Speaker 1 When y'all are filming that intro, so I'm guessing you heard the music, right? Yeah. Yeah.
So you knew that song before going into the villa.

Speaker 4 Yeah, yeah. We definitely were aware about that.
The song being the song, like the song. Right.

Speaker 4 So every single day I would wake wake up, and even though if I had a bad day the night before, that was my aunt down.

Speaker 1 I'm like, that's just the way you make me feel.

Speaker 4 And then for him, definitely something from Bad Bunny.

Speaker 5 Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 Did you know I was in Bad Bunny's music video? Where you really? I was. Ajitos Lindos.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 Period.

Speaker 1 She's a video fixer.

Speaker 1 I like it.

Speaker 1 She's my girl.

Speaker 1 Who takes the longest showers?

Speaker 5 Me.

Speaker 1 What are you doing in there? That'd be

Speaker 4 No, everybody says that he takes our showers.

Speaker 4 I'm like, babe, you know what? You might need to give me your skincare routine. Because obviously there's something I'm not doing.

Speaker 5 Yeah.

Speaker 5 Everybody would come at me for like taking the longest shower and shit like that. Damn, can I be clean and chill for a little bit?

Speaker 1 What is your favorite emoji?

Speaker 4 My favorite emoji has to be the pink heart.

Speaker 5 And mine is probably like the demon with the smiling one.

Speaker 3 What would each other's DJ name be?

Speaker 5 Oh.

Speaker 4 Yours will be DJ Brybride.

Speaker 5 DJ Papaya.

Speaker 1 Of course.

Speaker 1 Of course. Are you missing your twins at all?

Speaker 4 Well, we only had Elijah.

Speaker 1 Oh, sorry. Are you missing Elijah? Maybe.

Speaker 4 Justice for Elijah.

Speaker 1 Sorry. Do you miss him? What is he doing?

Speaker 5 Elijah was crying. It was a twin, but no.
It's just Elijah. Justice for Elijah for sure.

Speaker 3 I'm curious, what is your each other's dating

Speaker 3 ick for, you know, in a relationship for the opposite sex?

Speaker 5 Mine is pretty. I hate.
I don't like when people don't have manners. Like, if you don't say thank you and stuff like that, it's the automatic.
Okay.

Speaker 1 What about you, Maya?

Speaker 4 Same with him. And then also just being like...

Speaker 3 What about like a silly ick? Like, Natalie doesn't like me looking light and feathery.

Speaker 4 Long toenails.

Speaker 4 Obviously, your girl's traumatized, which is why she's bringing that a lot of hair. He doesn't have long toenails.

Speaker 5 Okay.

Speaker 5 I think bad breath. I can't.
Hell, no, I can't do that.

Speaker 5 We talking here, and then we kissing. Hell, nah.

Speaker 1 No one likes stinky people.

Speaker 3 Yeah, it can be so hot. And if you stink.

Speaker 1 Did y'all have a favorite challenge throughout the show? I think.

Speaker 5 Yeah, the

Speaker 5 slime slash mill.

Speaker 4 Slime challenge. Slime one.

Speaker 5 Yeah.

Speaker 3 For both of you, like what TV, are you big TV watchers? Do you have like a, like, what are you guys big fans of?

Speaker 4 for me personally i love gossip girl that is one show i could keep on re-watching um and especially since it's based in nyc so watching it just kind of makes me feel like follow new yorkers you know yeah my favorite show is uh entourage i could re-watch that like a million times and then my favorite movie scarface oh hell yeah oh yeah you have a bunch of scarface tattoos all over me

Speaker 3 oh that's awesome what are your favorite passions like what do you love to do like in your free time yeah so i'm very passionate of um

Speaker 4 journaling like i mentioned before i love to journal i have i have a journal like at bedside right now i miss it so much and just taking walks in a park like i understand why old people just would sit at a random park and stare because that's like one of my favorite activities to do now yeah mine is uh running and working out absolutely i feel like that changed my life in general uh i got a marathon coming up in a couple months oh yeah just self-growth, to be honest.

Speaker 5 I feel like there's always a place to improve within yourself.

Speaker 3 What is something about each other that you feel like in your short period of time together helps you guys be better people?

Speaker 4 He definitely makes me feel safe. And whenever I do have like an anxiety episode, he keeps me grounded and just instead of becoming impatient with me, he just lets me talk.

Speaker 4 And that just makes me very, very calm.

Speaker 5 Yeah. And personally, I love screaming and being loud and she matches my energy.

Speaker 5 My energy sometimes, I'm known for yelling in the villa, and she'll be screaming right next to me.

Speaker 1 There you go. I don't know if you saw this, I don't know if this happened while y'all were away, but Kylie Jenner made all these headlines because

Speaker 1 someone made a TikTok being like, Kylie, please give us the details on your boobs. And she commented, being like, This how many CCs under the muscle?

Speaker 1 This doctor, she was like, being very much girl's girl, being like, This is what I got. Amaya, I hope you take this as a compliment.
You have the most perfect titties I've ever seen in my entire life.

Speaker 1 Are they man-made or are they genetics?

Speaker 4 Well, baby, these titties are expensive, okay?

Speaker 1 What's your concoction?

Speaker 4 They're 350 cc's left and right. It's so funny because I actually have my implant card in my wallet.
I take it everywhere I go.

Speaker 4 But yeah, no, these were made in Miami, born and raised in Miami.

Speaker 1 350 cc's. Did you go under muscle or over muscle?

Speaker 4 I believe I went under muscle.

Speaker 1 Okay. Are they high profile or mid-profile?

Speaker 4 I did

Speaker 4 um mid-profile, not too high.

Speaker 1 I'm writing it down.

Speaker 4 I did a natural look just for my end.

Speaker 1 They look so good. I think they look so good.
I had a baby and I lost all of my boobs and so I'm in like the market and I was like, I need to know what Maya has done immediately.

Speaker 4 Girl, I got you.

Speaker 1 Thank you. Got it.
I'm sending the note to the doctor right now.

Speaker 3 What's next for you guys? Like, how are, I'm curious, like, I mean, you guys seem so grounded.

Speaker 3 Like, how, how are you guys planning on moving forward and protecting what you guys have in front of you and while at the same time enjoying, you know, just this newfound celebrity and fame?

Speaker 3 Like, I'm worried for you, Amaya. Like, I'm worried that you're not going to be able to go people watch in the park for a while because I feel like I've been to New York.
They love their reality TV.

Speaker 3 I don't know if you're going to buy a drink for a while.

Speaker 3 But how are you guys planning on staying grounded, staying connected, and really giving this relationship the shot we all wanted to get?

Speaker 5 Yeah, I think we're just going to keep prioritizing each other. That's the biggest thing.
And that's why I asked her to be exclusive in the show. And

Speaker 5 yeah, just spending time with each other. And obviously we became something in the public eye.
We'll keep showing, but there's also parts of us that we want to keep to ourselves and really protect it.

Speaker 4 Yeah, for sure. Just prioritizing our quality time, doing things that we've both been like dying to do together.
And yeah.

Speaker 1 Brian, I love that you say that, like, you know, protecting

Speaker 1 parts of your relationship to keep to yourself. Obviously, it's, it's very hard in the public eye.
I know, like, fans want to know everything.

Speaker 1 And I think that part is so important to have a piece of you that you don't share with the public that they don't know that is just for the two of you. I think that's really important.

Speaker 1 So I'm glad that you're doing that.

Speaker 1 Yeah, appreciate it. What that last ending dance scene, what was that?

Speaker 1 like were they playing music were they kind of like just dance with your person it felt a little we're all kind of like, oh, they're dancing. Okay.

Speaker 5 Yeah,

Speaker 5 they had us doing a dance routine and I didn't get it at all. So I said, fuck all that.
I picked her up and started kissing her and they got that part. I couldn't get the dance routine.

Speaker 1 You couldn't get the dance routine.

Speaker 4 No, but we definitely were dancing for sure.

Speaker 1 He was moving his hips. He was giving a little Shakira.

Speaker 5 A little bit.

Speaker 1 Who do you feel like you're closest with from the cast?

Speaker 4 For me, it would be Hala.

Speaker 5 Yeah, and for me and my brother Chris.

Speaker 3 Yeah, we got to talk to Chris yesterday, and he had nothing but great things to say about you.

Speaker 5 Yeah, it's my brother.

Speaker 3 Well, guys, we could talk for hours, but we're going to let you go because you obviously have a busy day. We can't thank you enough for your time.

Speaker 3 I just want to say to each of you, Brian, it's been a pleasure just watching the way you move. I think you're a great role model for men out there.

Speaker 3 I think it takes real confidence to be with a woman who has such a bright light like Amaya does. I feel like my wife is the same in that.
And like the fact that you let her be who she is,

Speaker 3 you know, says a lot about who you are. You're a great example of positive masculinity.
And Amaya, obviously, like, just you're such an inspiration for people who like are confident in who they are.

Speaker 3 I think it's a rare quality we don't see enough. So thank you for showing that.
And just like, it's just truly been a pleasure to watch both of you.

Speaker 3 I hope we have more people like you guys on future seasons of Love Island. But thank you for your time.

Speaker 4 Thank you guys so much for having us.

Speaker 4 pleasure meeting you all likewise all right take care guys

Speaker 1 all right bye-bye what sweethearts they really are gone i mean i'm she's such a girl's girl she gave us a concoction like that was iconic no she really is in the world of everyone claiming they're girls girls amaya's the real one yeah she's like the the epitome of being who you are it's like there will be the people that find you appreciate you and like lift you up versus all of those people trying to tell her to like tone it down.

Speaker 1 And like at the last second, she found like her real person and like they're so cute together.

Speaker 3 Yeah.

Speaker 3 They're incredible. Well, we are not done giving you a great show.
Up next, Christopher Briney is with us. He's from the hit show, The Summer I Turn Pretty, which is out now on Amazon Prime.

Speaker 3 He is with us up next. And then following Christopher, we get into some OC, a little Atlanta housewives, and then we'll send you on your way.

Speaker 3 Thanks for joining us.

Speaker 5 No, thanks for having me. I appreciate it.
You guys have such a lovely little setup.

Speaker 1 Thanks. Wish you were here.

Speaker 3 Are you in New York these days?

Speaker 5 Yeah, yeah, I'm in Brooklyn right now.

Speaker 3 Oh, hell yeah. We love Brooklyn.
We met in Brooklyn.

Speaker 1 We did. We did.

Speaker 3 That's where our love story started.

Speaker 1 Oh. Yeah.
Just like, I mean, you and your girlfriend met in New York as well, right?

Speaker 5 Yeah, we met in Fydai. A little, maybe less romantic, but

Speaker 1 okay. A little intellectual.

Speaker 1 Very busy.

Speaker 5 No, yeah, we met at school. Yeah.

Speaker 1 Well, that's awesome. Well, congratulations.
Obviously, the third season of the Summer I Turn Pretty is out. How are you feeling?

Speaker 5 I feel good. I feel good.

Speaker 5 Nobody's told me they've seen it yet.

Speaker 5 So I'm not really sure if it's out but i feel good it's exciting you're uh you're obviously an attractive man did you grow up knowing that you would be a heart throb on on television or have you just something you fell into accidentally oh it's everything's an accident i just really wanted to be able to pay rent as an actor that was always sort of my goal like in college i was like if i can just pay rent i'll be happy

Speaker 5 Yeah, yeah. And I can pay rent these days, which is.

Speaker 1 Hell yeah. Congratulations.

Speaker 5 I'm stoked on that.

Speaker 1 yeah

Speaker 1 so you could probably like quit

Speaker 1 i think i'm done yeah

Speaker 1 this is my retirement announcement no don't say that the conrad fans are going to be

Speaker 1 i am a conrad fan for the record yes cnlay record right there right now very big conrad fan do you mean you know with this type of fandom obviously the so many fans uh intensely watch this show

Speaker 3 and really truly fall in love with your character. Does that ever get difficult, you know, with trying to play the role, like even online as Conrad, or live up to like the expectations?

Speaker 3 You know, like, I think with reality TV stars, which we cover a lot and talk to a lot, even then, it's just like what they see on TV isn't exactly who they are in person.

Speaker 3 Do you feel like people see you as Conrad often in the wild, or do you still feel like you can be Christopher yourself?

Speaker 5 There's definitely some of both of it.

Speaker 5 There's for sure like

Speaker 5 some level of an expectation.

Speaker 5 I mean, I'm sure you guys understand, but like people see, they see a part of your life, you know, and obviously I'm playing a character,

Speaker 5 but they do see a part of you. And I think the goal in some ways is to make that seem like that is part of your identity.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 5 So I think there is,

Speaker 5 and I kind of understand it, but there is a tendency that people can, yeah, like conflate you and your character and sort of expect you to be them or like have really strong feelings about the world,

Speaker 5 even though I didn't write it

Speaker 1 exactly.

Speaker 3 Has there been like a unique fan interaction that surprised you or caught you off guard ever?

Speaker 4 There's always some.

Speaker 5 Um, I've never really like prepared for one.

Speaker 1 Has there not been is the question.

Speaker 3 Um, I'm really sorry, I know you're eating, but can we talk?

Speaker 1 But Conrad, Conrad, why did you?

Speaker 5 Why did you, yeah, why did you?

Speaker 1 Why did you make this decision and not choose her? And you're like, I didn't have to.

Speaker 5 Can you tell Jenny to change this or to like not write it like this? And I can't. I could ask her, but she wouldn't listen to me.

Speaker 1 If you weren't playing Conrad, do you feel like you would still be Team Conrad? Or do you think you might be Team Jeremiah?

Speaker 5 That is a good question.

Speaker 5 I don't know.

Speaker 5 I was like Team

Speaker 5 Edward, and I was team what was the the hunger games one not PETA but oh my god

Speaker 3 PETA and Josh you know I always wanted to hook up with the Hemsworth I was just like you know what

Speaker 1 I was kind of you know I was rude Gail Gail

Speaker 5 really oh wow that would never

Speaker 1 you were team PETA

Speaker 5 I was not team Peter

Speaker 5 until team but like there was something that happened at the end honestly maybe this speaks to it there was something that happened at the end that sort of shifted and I forget exactly what it was but it was in like the third book And he and he did something that was like kind of fucked.

Speaker 5 And I was like, oh, well, I think that just speaks to you not being right for this character. So I don't know.

Speaker 5 I mean, I think I would trust Jenny's storytelling, and I would probably go back and forth if I had no personal stake in it.

Speaker 1 That's a pretty good answer.

Speaker 3 How does your girlfriend handle you being, you know, such like a heartthrob online? Is she pretty good with fan interactions or does it ever wear on her?

Speaker 5 She supports me a lot, and I appreciate her every day. I mean, I think we've both had to deal with

Speaker 5 adapting to, you know, people having opinions

Speaker 5 and people feeling like they have a piece of you.

Speaker 5 That stuff's never easy to like

Speaker 5 be ready for because it's such a weird thing

Speaker 5 to have people you don't know have opinions on your life. Yeah.

Speaker 5 But she's

Speaker 5 perfect and amazing and grateful for the way we've learned to sort of like discuss and deal with this.

Speaker 1 That's awesome. Obviously, The Summer I Turn Pretty is your breakout role.
How did you get it? How has it changed your life?

Speaker 5 Getting it, it all still feels like a whirlwind. Like, I really don't know how this happened.
I was, I was working on the first movie I ever did was this indie movie that Mary Heron directed.

Speaker 5 And I think it's great and I love it a lot. And I was there in, we were filming in Liverpool, and I had like a chemistry read for the summer I turned pretty.
And then we had a table read.

Speaker 5 And the same day I found out I booked The Summer I Turned Pretty. And wow, I um

Speaker 5 and obviously I had no idea like what I was signing up for.

Speaker 5 I mean, it was a straight to series to Amazon, which means they have faith in it, but I didn't know the books and I didn't know the fan base. So that was all,

Speaker 5 I don't know, sort of to what I was saying earlier, like I really just was stoked to be able to pay rent for the foreseeable future. Yeah.
Um, and then along with it have come a lot of opportunities

Speaker 5 that I'm super grateful

Speaker 5 to be, you know, sitting here talking about it.

Speaker 3 That's incredible. You must have been a fan of various actors.
Are there any like role models or people that you kind of studied or you kind of emulate your work too?

Speaker 5 I'm inspired by so many actors. When I was a kid,

Speaker 5 before I even thought about wanting to act, like I fell in love with like Ferris Beeler's Day Off. So Matthew Broderick, I thought he was just like, he had it all.
You know, he was charming.

Speaker 5 He was funny. He was, it was sort of like this comedy with a little bit of action in it and i just really loved that sort of world i loved back to the future i mean so obviously uh

Speaker 5 i just wanted to be to be there i mean if i could take someone's career like out of their hands

Speaker 5 robert pattinson's i think he's he's taken such a cool direction in the past

Speaker 5 I mean, his whole career is just really like admirable. And I think he does what he wants to do these days.

Speaker 1 I mean, awesome.

Speaker 3 That's a that's a great choice.

Speaker 3 Obviously, he got his start in the Twilight saga, you know, fan, you know, very kind of younger audience, uh, you know, book following before, very similar to exactly what you're doing, and so, like, yeah, that's a very interesting,

Speaker 3 you know, very, very smart.

Speaker 5 He just works with such cool directors and such cool writers, and

Speaker 5 it's the cool life, man.

Speaker 1 Obviously, without giving any spoilers, are there any episodes that you're particularly excited about airing? Any like things that you can tease throughout the season?

Speaker 5 If I'm being honest, I can't remember what numbers correspond with what we did. Perfect.

Speaker 5 But I mean, there's some work that I walked away feeling proud of.

Speaker 5 And I think I don't always feel immediately proud of my work. I get in my head about it a lot and I don't like to really watch myself.

Speaker 5 So to walk away feeling like I had done my job well was a good feeling. And I think I can't watch them now because I'll probably just talk myself into thinking I was wrong about it.

Speaker 1 But

Speaker 3 for the fans out there, do you think after this season wraps, do you think the Conrad fans will be stronger or do you, or, and, and very invested in you?

Speaker 3 Or do you feel like some of the Conrad fans might be a little frustrated with Conrad?

Speaker 5 That's a good question. I'd like to hope that there's some of both.
Okay. Because I think everybody ends up feeling the exact same way

Speaker 5 or pushed in the exact same direction then you know what are we what are we making it for like where's the discourse where's the dialogue that's true so i hope that you know these are characters doing human things and some things are positive and some are negative and people will either love or hate it if there's an opportunity for you to do a biopic

Speaker 1 Is there any certain person that you would feel drawn to do?

Speaker 5 I think about this all the time.

Speaker 1 You know what?

Speaker 3 River Phoenix.

Speaker 5 Oh, that would be sick.

Speaker 1 I've thought about that one for so many times.

Speaker 3 Can you see it? I can kind of see a little River Phoenix.

Speaker 1 Oh, my God. There you are.

Speaker 5 I didn't realize I don't clean my things very frequently.

Speaker 1 What's on there? Like peanut butter?

Speaker 1 I would.

Speaker 1 Yeah, and my screen covered the peanut butter.

Speaker 5 It's tough because I'm not really, I don't consider myself super musical, but whenever I think of a biopic, I'm like, I want to do like Kirk Cobain.

Speaker 1 Oh, right. Oh, wow.
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 5 Like, I think Liam Gallagher is one of the most interesting characters in the world.

Speaker 1 That'd be so good.

Speaker 3 You just have to kind of scream.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I know. I could scream, you know.

Speaker 5 I don't think they should hire an American to do that if they do.

Speaker 3 Fun fact, my uncle was in a band with the guy who produced Nirvana. Nevermind.

Speaker 5 No fucking way. That's so cool.

Speaker 1 Butch Davis.

Speaker 3 What was the band? It was called Firestone, I think. And then Butch Davis created the garbage,

Speaker 3 and then he also produced Nirvana. Never mind.

Speaker 1 It's a fun fact.

Speaker 1 Firetown. Firetowns.

Speaker 1 Firetowns. He's like, oh, I love Firetown.
Yeah, I mean,

Speaker 3 they did have a video on MTV.

Speaker 3 And then my uncle started a family.

Speaker 1 Real stuff.

Speaker 1 Are you able to do any accents?

Speaker 5 It depends on who you ask. I can do that.

Speaker 5 But if so, if you ask, can you? Do you guys go British?

Speaker 1 Totally. Yeah, what's your go-to?

Speaker 3 Now they can can go British. Can you do British?

Speaker 5 I mean, what kind of British are we talking about?

Speaker 1 It's so true. There's so many different kinds of plays.
Give us your best. Oh, my God.

Speaker 5 The way I do it is like, I have to have an in phrase. Like, I have to have a phrase that I can say to get into it.

Speaker 5 What would it be for like British? No, I'm just going to embarrass the fuck out of myself.

Speaker 5 Irish is really fun to try and do.

Speaker 1 I feel like Irish is so hard. All right.
It's so hard.

Speaker 3 It's hard.

Speaker 5 My roommate did a play, and he has a really good Northern Irish accent. Like it's it's very right and technical.

Speaker 5 But I also think if I did that, if I even tried to do that now, I would offend the Irish. Right.

Speaker 1 Right, right, right. Yeah, we can't say tomorrow night on Love Island.

Speaker 3 Can you say tomorrow night, another bombshell enters the villa?

Speaker 5 Oh, it's so. I can hear it.
I can hear it. My girlfriend's watch.
She watches.

Speaker 1 I can hear it. I can hear it.
I can hear it. I've heard it every night for the last

Speaker 1 three months.

Speaker 1 I love the, it's like

Speaker 5 Pavlov's dogs, like the fucking, the scratch before they come back into the episode.

Speaker 1 Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 5 I feel like it's literally training everybody to like look back at the TV.

Speaker 3 Are you one of those boyfriends who like his girlfriend's watching it and you're kind of in the background and like being like, what are you watching? But also giving your takes when you see stuff.

Speaker 3 Yeah.

Speaker 1 Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 5 I'll tune in and tune out and I'll be like, I hate this guy. Fucking hate this guy.

Speaker 3 Is there anyone you were a fan of? Or can you say who you were not?

Speaker 5 I don't know names like that.

Speaker 5 Did the season finish?

Speaker 3 It just wrapped, yeah. It just rapped.

Speaker 5 I didn't watch the finale.

Speaker 1 Well, we do have a little fun game we thought would be fun to play with you. Real easy.
The summer I turned pretty and love island, you know.

Speaker 1 It's called The Summer You Learned How to Be a Reality TV Star. Okay.
So we're going to put you in some situations.

Speaker 1 Some of our reality TV stars have been in recently, and you tell us how you would handle the situation.

Speaker 5 Okay, cool. Fun.
Easy.

Speaker 1 So your girlfriend won't cuddle with you in bed because she's tired and wants to sleep. Do you let her sleep or do you start a fight?

Speaker 5 I let her sleep.

Speaker 1 Such a gentleman.

Speaker 3 Wouldn't she know it? People on TV have chosen to do different things.

Speaker 1 That's pretty wild. It's crazy.
You are about to propose to your girlfriend, but they haven't showered in a while. How would you convince them to take a shower? Ooh.

Speaker 1 Just start being like, something smells

Speaker 1 as subtle as I get.

Speaker 5 No, I mean, she's so hygienic. Also, I feel like proposing, she would know so far in advance.
Like, I think it would be planned enough to where that would never happen. She would have closed.

Speaker 1 I don't know.

Speaker 5 Come on, let's go take a shower.

Speaker 1 This would be fun.

Speaker 1 It might be fun to take a shower together today

Speaker 1 for the first time ever.

Speaker 1 What would you make your girlfriend for breakfast to win her heart using only Trader Joe's products since you were a previous Trader Joe's employee?

Speaker 5 What a good question.

Speaker 5 I mean,

Speaker 5 i want to make it trader joe's specific i mean i would make her like a avocado toast but you know what you know what we maybe we would do like some breakfast tacos right

Speaker 5 and some like flour tortillas and heat them up on the stove um and sprinkle on some like what is the chili lime seasoning and put some of that on are you having a side of hash brown Yeah, there it is.

Speaker 1 There's the Trader Joe's.

Speaker 5 Yeah, one of the frozen hash browns were thrown in there.

Speaker 3 Did you ever have to, did you get good at flirting with the customers? Because I've heard that's their thing.

Speaker 5 I was always taught to be nice to the customers.

Speaker 5 I never really, really thought of it as flirting, but

Speaker 5 I did meet some of the cool people. Like the dude who did my headshots for college, I just met him because he was checking out and we were like chatting.
And

Speaker 1 the person behind me is like, hey, so I actually, I have to go.

Speaker 3 I think it's so cool that you worked at Trader Joe's. One of my employees, I hired him specifically because he told me he was working at Trader Joe's.
I didn't even know where he went to college.

Speaker 3 Turns out it was UCR.

Speaker 1 I already met people so well.

Speaker 5 I had so many people that were like, I couldn't even get a second, I couldn't even get an interview. I don't know what I did.

Speaker 5 I just looked for like genuine people. I don't know.

Speaker 1 You're like, it's telling why you didn't get that interview.

Speaker 5 Right. I didn't want to say that.

Speaker 1 Right. Okay.
Okay. How would you do in a Torque Off judged by Megan the Stallion?

Speaker 5 I'd be first eliminated.

Speaker 1 I wouldn't even qualify. I don't think.
Oh, no.

Speaker 3 Chris doesn't have any back, you know. I have no ass.

Speaker 3 Your best friend went on a date with your little sister and texted you that he wanted to have sex with her. How do you feel?

Speaker 1 What would you do?

Speaker 1 This is a real thing that happens. Yep, yep.
Next gen NYC.

Speaker 1 They live in New York. Yeah.

Speaker 5 We're throwing hands.

Speaker 1 I don't know.

Speaker 1 Okay. Get in her ring.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 You go to the bathroom with someone you just met that night and find out they don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom. Do you shake their hands at the end of the night?

Speaker 5 I would probably suck it up and shake their hand.

Speaker 1 You're such a nice guy. Wow.
Yeah. You just,

Speaker 1 would you just immediately go wash your hands?

Speaker 5 I would be thinking about it.

Speaker 1 You'd be in your head.

Speaker 5 But I don't think I would.

Speaker 3 I don't know. I put my hand on the escalator rail at an airport.
Honestly,

Speaker 1 subway pool. Better? Yeah.

Speaker 3 you know i'm not gonna start getting all like germaphobe you know just because someone didn't wash their hands you gotta be all or nothing right

Speaker 3 that's so true uh your new girlfriend asked you to go on a private jet from miami to orlando so she can pick up her dogs do you go how long is that flight probably an hour

Speaker 3 honestly like is it in a whole hour

Speaker 5 i just hate flying so much do you prefer a road trip over flying yeah i i think i would try to talk them out of like using a private jet for that short of a flight.

Speaker 1 That feels a little jet fuel.

Speaker 5 Wasteful, you know?

Speaker 1 Love it.

Speaker 1 All right. You are forced to share a secret.
What secret do you share?

Speaker 1 He's like, it's a secret.

Speaker 5 I'm like, looking around for like something that's secretive.

Speaker 3 I honestly hate that question. I'm like, I'm not going to tell you.

Speaker 1 Like, it's a fucking secret. It's a secret for a reason.
I'd be like, not a big one.

Speaker 3 Quick, your deepest, darkest secret.

Speaker 1 Does Belly end up with Conrad or Jeremiah?

Speaker 5 All of my AirTags are dead. So if I lose anything, it's lost.

Speaker 1 Okay.

Speaker 1 Do you have Air Tags in all of your shit?

Speaker 5 No, just my keys in my wallet.

Speaker 1 Okay, perfect. Just like

Speaker 1 that's why he can't blind anything right now. He's like looking around.

Speaker 1 Actually, where are my keys?

Speaker 3 Chris, this has been so much fun. Final question before you go.
Are you really excited about the Red Sox win streak? Do we feel like it's legit? Is it real? Are they going to make the playoffs?

Speaker 5 Tell me about it. All I'm saying is...

Speaker 1 Are those coupons?

Speaker 5 No, they're like, it's like a calendar.

Speaker 1 I was just sort of emphasised that I had.

Speaker 5 Oh, that's my secret. Oh, you really?

Speaker 1 Two months ago. What's the fact? Thank God you're up to date.
We're still in April.

Speaker 5 On this date in 1946, Ted Williams homered in his first game back after missing the 43 to 45 season because he served in World War II.

Speaker 1 That's where real men were made.

Speaker 3 They like professional baseball players, you know, served for our country.

Speaker 1 What about today's actual date?

Speaker 5 Oh, today's actual date. That's a good question, too.
And then I'll answer the Red Sox question because I think it could be real. I think this could be the real thing, man.

Speaker 3 While you're doing that, did you watch that documentary about the 2004 Red Sox on Netflix?

Speaker 5 Yeah, it's awesome. This is my girlfriend.
I watched it. I mean, I've seen so many iterations of that documentary, but oh, it feels good.

Speaker 1 It was good. It was good.

Speaker 5 I also like the

Speaker 5 they did like a documentary on the Red Sox last season, which was pretty good.

Speaker 3 No, I didn't see that one.

Speaker 5 It's good. It's good.
I mean, they didn't even make the playoffs, so it's just sort of interesting to see a team in that like position. Yeah, okay, this one's cool.

Speaker 5 Uh, in July of 2023, Nick Pavetta had 43 strikeouts for the month, and most by a pitcher who made one or fewer starts in a single calendar month. Since Dick Raditz of Boston had a 45 in 1960.

Speaker 5 Jesus fucking Christ.

Speaker 1 This is the worst people.

Speaker 1 All right. And that does it for our show.

Speaker 1 Nick Pavetta struck out 43 guys.

Speaker 3 You like Nick Pavetta.

Speaker 1 Shout out, Nick.

Speaker 3 Christopher, this has been a ton of fun, man. Congratulations on all your success.

Speaker 1 What a charming guy. Such a charming guy.
I know what I'm watching.

Speaker 1 Guys, I'm telling you. Beautiful head of hair.

Speaker 1 It's my, it's my, I'm a sucker for a beautiful head of hair.

Speaker 3 He kind of has that kind of very unique, kind of like Matthew Perry.

Speaker 1 Oh, yeah. He's giving

Speaker 1 Perry.

Speaker 1 Chill personality.

Speaker 1 It's been Team Conrad since the start, I will say. Calm down.

Speaker 3 All right. Well, let's get into some OC.

Speaker 1 We had the premiere of Rojas Orange County Thursday night. And if you don't remember what happened last season, here is a rapid recap.
Shanna Medor Bedour was the DUI baddie.

Speaker 1 Everyone was ruthless to her, especially Tamara. And if that wasn't bad enough, Alexis Bellino bombshelled her way into Orange County with Shannon's ex, Johnny J on her arm.

Speaker 1 This led to a season of Diva on Diva crime, but only one could come out victorious. And it was, in fact, Shannon Bedor.
Tamra was really mean to everyone, so much so she had to go to therapy.

Speaker 1 Emily did a boudoir shoot. It was hot.
She also had drama with newcomer Katie. Started off in a rough spot with a feud with Heather, who maybe had issues with her husband Terry.

Speaker 1 Oh, and then there was Jen, who got bullied for being poor, but still getting glam. And then her boyfriend got involved with that whole Dodgers interpreter scandal.
Remember that?

Speaker 1 Anyway, they got engaged. Gina was also there.
She's always a vibe, but had some issues with her boyfriend. They stopped living together because the house was small, but still are making it work.

Speaker 1 Alexis sadly didn't survive, but hopefully the return of Icon Legend Girl boss Gretchen Rossi will help stir up chaos.

Speaker 1 Alexis didn't survive the season. The next season, she's

Speaker 1 currently still breathing. She is breathing, but she is not.
She did not get brought back for another season of Rohal's Eyes Orange County.

Speaker 1 But hopefully the return of Icon Legend Girl boss Gretchen Rossi will stir up chaos. Only a girl can dream.
And that's what you missed on Roha's Eyes of OC last season. You're good, Reader.

Speaker 1 Period.

Speaker 1 This was a great,

Speaker 1 a great opening to a season. Everyone, every new Bravo show, real

Speaker 1 first gen, New York, like everyone needs to take fucking notes. This is how you open a season.
We had the right amount of drama.

Speaker 1 We had a little bit of like pulling on the heartstrings with Emily's family and what she's going through with her children. We had like, you know, the Jin and Ryan still being Jen and Ryan.

Speaker 1 God, he creeps me out. You guys don't tell each other on a regular how hot you guys are.

Speaker 1 I'm really just about to say that. The amount of times they're like, God, baby, you are just so sexy.

Speaker 1 You're just so hot. You're just like, fuck, God, you're just, wow.
It's just, it's like, okay, do you? Are they actually going to get married in bathing soon? It wouldn't be.

Speaker 1 I wouldn't put it past him. Honestly,

Speaker 1 I would not put it past him. Going to Beach Bunny for your bridal try-on is we had Bravotherapy.

Speaker 3 I just can't with Bravo therapy.

Speaker 1 Yeah. I just,

Speaker 1 it seems so.

Speaker 3 I just want someone to talk to me about Bravo therapy.

Speaker 1 I'm also like confused because it sounds like this is the therapist that said the advice or diagnosis that got her in trouble directly after. So I'm just like, that's the same therapist?

Speaker 1 She said, you told me, and then I misspoke. And so it's like, it's almost like she was brought on to confirm that she like misdiagnosed or came on too soon.

Speaker 1 And I'm just like, isn't this like not a good look though? Or like your business?

Speaker 1 I don't think thermal therapy is ever a good look.

Speaker 3 It's just like, this is not what therapy is. It just, it's.

Speaker 1 To further a storyline. Yes.

Speaker 3 Yeah. I'm like not narrating my life in that way.
You know, it's more fuck man. Like, you know, it's just like

Speaker 1 today and then yesterday. And this is why I feel this way.
And she's like, so remember that time that you told me? It's like, and he still hasn't texted me back.

Speaker 3 The Katie stuff is jarring.

Speaker 1 The Katie stuff is hard, but then I also remember what these women did to her at the reunion and I have empathy for her.

Speaker 1 Like them pulling out all of the, like making her relive the trauma of having her kids taken away from her.

Speaker 1 I mean, not her giving her kids to her ex-husband and being like, I'm not in a place right now. Like I need a fit living space.
Like she, the fact that they brought all of that up at reunion.

Speaker 1 Without even knowing if she was coming back to it for another season either. Like that's just humiliation.
Just being her first reunion.

Speaker 1 It just feels so fucked.

Speaker 3 I totally get it. It's just, well, it is fascinating this world.
We talk a lot about, now that, you know, Bravo's been around so long, like the janitor of it all, casting fans.

Speaker 3 And like the reality TV world is so fascinating in the sense that like, like how reality TV stars, especially ones that like live in LA, how they make friends and their circle of people and people who kind of attach themselves to them.

Speaker 3 And then there's so much like discourse about like the blogger community and it, and then how they insert themselves, you know, in these these spaces.

Speaker 3 And, you know, like the blogger community, it's like, I think there's a lot of reality TV stars who won't fuck with them because like they're kind of insidious.

Speaker 3 They're spreading gossip and rumors and half truths and speculations. And again, most of it is just like 80, you know, there's some truth to it for sure.

Speaker 3 And then they, and then they have all these fan theories and they just they operate as if the people on TV aren't, aren't human.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 So for Katie to be friends with these people and engage with them and share rumors and tea is just such a violation of trust. I mean, it's back to the Monica Garcia of it all when it happened.

Speaker 3 You know, it's just like, we've got to know Monica, we love her, but like that whole, I completely empathize with why those women found it so jarring, just because it is such a violation of just like feeling safe in your world because like the bloggers,

Speaker 3 they're fans.

Speaker 3 They're super fans.

Speaker 1 They're people who invested so much of their lives and like obsessively following the lives of people on TV and it's I do feel like bloggers are getting more and more like becoming part of the drama on a lot of these sure shows you know it's like I mean this is it's brought up in Atlanta obviously it was a main storyline in Salt Lake City it's now in Orange County it's they've always been a part of housewives storylines though

Speaker 6 but do you feel like it's getting like out of control yeah you have no you have housewives that have became bloggers you there's always reality blur being screenshotted in every single reunion every single show it's just now you have monica that was majorly involved in it.

Speaker 6 Or Katie that knows the people.

Speaker 1 Like it's just a ton of people. Yeah, her being like, they're inviting me to their weddings.
It's like, I bet.

Speaker 1 Yeah, you're clearly in constant correspondence with them. Y'all are besties.

Speaker 3 But like, there's no, like, there's no,

Speaker 3 they, they treat rumors as if this, it's this. Like, it's okay to just make them shit or just like play the telephone game.

Speaker 6 I feel like you're, you're, the way you thought of it is podcasts are becoming more involved in Bravo.

Speaker 1 Maybe.

Speaker 6 Like podcasts or blogs have always been a part of it, but podcasts have never really been acknowledged.

Speaker 1 Well like the housewins used to have their own blogs and that's how they would get themselves in trouble because they would write about their castmates or like what happened in an episode and then it would be like you wrote about me da da da and then all of a sudden it kind of like opened up to like all of us and general public where it's just like I will say

Speaker 1 I think it's a little strange that and I get

Speaker 1 Katie's daughter. Yeah.
Katie's daughter, Kaylee, I don't know how old she is. She's over 18.

Speaker 1 Over 18. So she's definitely adult.
She can do what she wants. But I think the fact that Katie is just like allowing her to insert herself in this, you know,

Speaker 1 I feel like she's like setting her up for failure of just like, you know, like her going on a podcast.

Speaker 1 And yeah, she's talking, she's spreading her truth, which for sure you can do, but it's like, you're in a game with a, with a bunch of older women. It's like, why let her get so involved?

Speaker 1 It's just weird. I agree.
It's weird. It's like for what purpose.

Speaker 6 Like if I was Katie's daughter, I mean, say what you want to say, but I'm also like, I don't know what it would serve.

Speaker 1 Well, I'm like, we did the TikToks, which like find funny, it's your social media, say what you need to say, but I'm just like the going on a podcast and talking about somebody's parenting or nannies or who likes whose kids, like I'm just like, I feel like that's where I'm like, that's the step too far where it's like, you can say what you need to say because you feel like things were spoken out against you that are calling you a liar.

Speaker 1 But I'm like, I feel like to go and try and make headlines with- It's like you're openly putting a target on your daughter's back. Yeah.

Speaker 3 I i mean granted she didn't tell her to do the podcast but she definitely didn't stop her from doing the podcast i just i just always feel like you know people talk so much about again that you know what you signed up for type of thing and like you know in some ways we operate it's this like yeah there is a privilege and a gift of being on tv and being a star and having a platform i just think there's a big difference between like fans and the stars themselves having their podcast or going on shows and breaking down and talking and analyzing what we see on tv or what we analyze what they put out on their social i think it's this night and day difference between that and what is so, what seems to be such a big part of specifically Bravo is the rumor mill and the fan speculation and the fan theories, and some of which are dangerous and toxic.

Speaker 3 Yeah, it's just very damaging for some of these cast members and it does affect their lives.

Speaker 3 And I just like, it's, I just think for Katie to be so integrated with them gives that community a level of credibility. I don't, I just don't think they deserve it.

Speaker 6 The thing is, she's so real because that's why Lisa Vanderpump left left the show is because she wouldn't admit she has connections at radar online. So it's like they all have connections.

Speaker 6 Katie's just like, yeah, like, don't we all?

Speaker 1 She's like, what do you mean? Yeah. Like texting and calling.
Like, she's just real about it.

Speaker 6 So that's where it's interesting to Katie, where it's like, she's not wrong, but also it's a little weird that she's like, they're my friend.

Speaker 1 And I agree with that because I was like, the contradiction's a little bit of like an OG cast versus like them, what do you call it, hazing the new person where it's just like.

Speaker 1 Emily's screaming at her being like, you don't bring up kids. You don't bring up this.

Speaker 1 I'm like, well, you outed a whole situation that was never a part of the season because you went and did research after you got mad about people doing research. Literally.

Speaker 1 And then you expose it and then try to be like, oh, no, now it's boundaries. Now you can no longer cross this line.

Speaker 6 And it's like, that's where Katie was right, where it's like, my daughter going on a podcast is not like a touche. It's not the same as what you did to me at reunion.

Speaker 6 So it's a balance of it's weird, but it's also like you're kind of balancing.

Speaker 1 When I do it, it's okay. When you do it, you should get kicked off the show.
And that's what I don't like about the contradiction of it all.

Speaker 3 I do love how Heather and Terry are so rich.

Speaker 1 She's like, let's just finish the floors. It's nothing.
He's like, $45,000? She's like, yeah. He's like, what? That's what you spend out a night at Nobu.
She's like,

Speaker 1 Heather, can I be on your list?

Speaker 1 What is getting a $45,000 tab at Nobu feel like? Being like,

Speaker 1 literally.

Speaker 1 Hope you all ate. Remember when she had that party? Like, is it last season or two seasons ago? And everyone started fighting and she had ordered all of this like Nobu takeout.

Speaker 1 And because the fight started at her house, she was like, all right, dinner's over. Thousands of people.

Speaker 6 Was that the one where they said that Alexis was a giraffe?

Speaker 1 Yeah, no, it was Gina. It was between Gina and Heather that got into a fight, but it was like all of this catered no-boo, and she kicked everyone out before they could even have a bite.

Speaker 1 And I was like, that's a new level of rich I've never seen before and petty. I mean, what did y'all think of the ending fight of like the get up?

Speaker 1 I would climb up on that cell tower and get service to prove that I didn't DM or she DM me first. I'm with Gina.
Katie. Sorry.
I love you. I'm not telling the truth.
Huh?

Speaker 1 She's definitely not telling the truth. That's why I said, that's why I'm like, if I'm with Gina, that I'm like, if you're accusing me of doing some shady ass shit, I'm walking my ass to the street.

Speaker 1 Because also,

Speaker 3 how do you prove that you didn't send something? First of all, you can just unsend something.

Speaker 6 Well, doesn't it say that you unsent it, though?

Speaker 1 It does. I think it still says that

Speaker 1 she would still have on your energy. But it shows up.

Speaker 6 If you deleted it, it doesn't, but if you unsend it, it would. But

Speaker 3 you just delete it. Yeah.
That's what I'm saying. So she could just delete it and be like, look, there's nothing there.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 That is true. That's what Kathy.
Somebody has to walk with her.

Speaker 6 Kathy Hilton did that at a reunion where she's like, it's not on my phone.

Speaker 1 And And Lisa was like, but you can delete the text.

Speaker 1 But did all the other women also not have service? Or was it only Katie who did that? They all did. Some of them did.
They were like, I have.

Speaker 6 Shannon was like, no, because Shannon was like, no, you're right. I had to use a landline.

Speaker 1 But Gina was like, I have service. I'd be like, let me lock into my Instagram on your phone.
Katie's like, I don't know my password. Katie's like, I'm on autosave for everything.

Speaker 3 Two-step verification. I don't know.

Speaker 6 In Katie's defense, she had to have been played by the edit. There's no way that she was just like,

Speaker 1 I don't have it.

Speaker 6 I don't know. Like, she had, they probably edited it in a way that she wasn't like, I have no service.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I don't know what to tell you guys. And I'm like, if I'm getting screamed at by seven women, I'm, I'm figuring it out.

Speaker 3 I'd be like, let me try.

Speaker 6 She probably tried and was like, no service. But then they cut out the first part and she's like, no surface.

Speaker 1 Yeah, that's so

Speaker 1 true. She sat there for an hour being like, guys, I'm refreshing.
I'm refreshing. I'm at.
What's the Wi-Fi password? The Wi-Fi's not working. It's not working.
And then she was like,

Speaker 1 I have no service.

Speaker 1 And the edit's like, let's put that in twice.

Speaker 1 Messy.

Speaker 1 Well, that was good. It's nice to have OC back, I will say.
It's nice to see the women again. We also had reunion part one of Royal Housewives of Atlanta.
Here's your rapid recap.

Speaker 1 So far, this is what we've learned from Reunion. Britt is the Carmen San Diego of the Royal Housewives of Atlanta reunion because where is she?

Speaker 1 However, this is okay because that means our best friend of show, Cynthia Bailey, can hang for the whole time. Getting to the drama, the main takeaways are this.

Speaker 1 Drew says Portia's return was a flop, while Portia says Drew should be worried, who is flipping and flopping in the basement with Ralph. Portia admits she was was petty to Drew, and they all hug.

Speaker 1 There was an alleged alliance between Britt, Kelly, Shamia, with Portia. Portia did not know about this.
And like, have we not learned from Talls versus Smalls?

Speaker 1 Angela came with a file and claims that the blogger, Diva, Marcus' aunt, is friends with Phaedra's brother from back home, and therefore it must have been Phaedra who leaked the Charlotte cheating allegations.

Speaker 1 However, it must be known the high school friend from your brother may not, in fact, be your friend.

Speaker 1 But who's to say? Phaedra has spread rumors before. The question still remains, was it Phaedra? And if not, who? Hopefully we will find out soon in part two.

Speaker 6 I love Atlanta.

Speaker 1 And that's what you missed on Rehasos of Atlanta. What's your favorite part?

Speaker 6 All of it. I think we keep this cast for the second season

Speaker 6 for another season. Like, people hate Drew, but I'm like, Drew eats for me.
I'm sorry. Like, her one-liners.

Speaker 1 Go sit on Portia's lap. Yeah, I agree.
I like this.

Speaker 6 And the fact that Angela was left out of this newbie alliance and Angela's like,

Speaker 6 what about me?

Speaker 1 Angela is not in the group chat. Angela gets no notification.

Speaker 1 Yeah. Yeah, but they're like, they're so mean to her.
So mean to her.

Speaker 6 And then Angela being like, Pedro, you needed a contract. And Pedro's like, I had it.

Speaker 1 Like, what do you mean?

Speaker 1 Well, that's that's what i was like angela like god bless her love her but i'm just like the idea that you think miss queen phaedra needs to come after you for a storyline yeah honey they brought her in for a reason she's saying go back to the library study come back

Speaker 3 i don't know i i she's definitely my favorite angela

Speaker 6 you live in underdog um you're gonna love i think it's part two when charles oakly sits down and he goes Everybody's worried about my business, but I'm the only husband sitting here.

Speaker 1 Where's your husband? So true.

Speaker 3 Maybe it's why I love Angela so much. I just like their dynamic.
I do feel like, you know, she's a rookie. You know, rookies always have a tough first season.
I think she's handling herself well.

Speaker 3 And honestly,

Speaker 3 when she's in a scene, I enjoy it.

Speaker 6 Her scenes with Charles Oakley, like the finale, when she's like, let him speak, let him speak.

Speaker 1 I'm going to,

Speaker 1 you can't be here. And she's like,

Speaker 1 yeah.

Speaker 1 No, when they, what did they call Angela? He, he.

Speaker 6 Tahoe Jackson nose or whatever.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 1 No, these women.

Speaker 1 Yeah. So, and Britt definitely did not show up.

Speaker 6 So she posted her reunion look, though.

Speaker 1 Did she really?

Speaker 6 And she's like, it's like edited. She's like on fire.

Speaker 1 What about Chanel Ion? I don't like. Was it with the color scheme?

Speaker 3 You're like, sick, burn. She posted what she was going to wear.

Speaker 1 We all missed it in person. Gonna go cry about it now.
What about Chanel Ion coming for Phaedra's?

Speaker 6 We talked about it on pop. I'm like.
I low-key, I'm like, Chanel, you're right, but also I think Phaedra 8. And I'm like, Chanel, what do you wear at reunion?

Speaker 1 Like, I love Chanel, but I'm like, like what are you you're showing up in feathers and headphones Chanel is always like peeking her little head into something and like commenting she's always just she's she's in the mix she loves a good tweet she loves a good tweet and honestly I enjoy her tweets you do no her one in traders where she's like I didn't know survivors was a show I thought they survived diseases bravo taking Dubai off is the biggest fail in my opinion.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 But we do have halfway around the world.

Speaker 1 We do have Rhode Island and there was a clip of Ashley I gave you a lot of time.

Speaker 3 There is a spot in there, Ashley I

Speaker 1 film, and Jared. Jared is sitting here.

Speaker 3 To which I immediately reached out to them. I cannot confirm or deny anything they said.
So, yes, she is on Rhodes. But we will be watching Rhode Island Housewise 100% for sure.

Speaker 1 We will be fucked in covering, recapping. Yeah.

Speaker 3 Let's just say not a friend of.

Speaker 6 Dolores is there for a lot of it, too.

Speaker 1 Snake is not a friend of? What? He's not a friend of.

Speaker 3 That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 6 You're saying Ashley I isn't.

Speaker 1 He's.

Speaker 1 that feels like maybe ashley eyes a full cast member

Speaker 1 i'm just just not a friend of no he literally just said not a friend of i could talk about literally anything or anyone

Speaker 3 oh i'm just so it's an individual sentence standing on its own but i will be i'll be tuning in if we've learned anything from cynthia friend of can be the show so we won't even have to worry about it but it did not at her because she's not a friend of well i didn't say she i just said not a friend of

Speaker 1 friend of i don't know what us week us weekly is gonna they're going to clip that. They're going to clip it, and they're going to keep in.
Nick confirms. Nick confirms.

Speaker 1 Friend of show.

Speaker 1 I don't know what. Nick confirms that Ashley I is, quotes, not a friend of, and quotes, she will be a full-time Castlemur.

Speaker 1 We will be watching.

Speaker 3 I haven't heard that from anyone.

Speaker 1 Yeah.

Speaker 3 But I did talk to my friends.

Speaker 1 He did DM Ashley I and then

Speaker 1 DM. What do you think?

Speaker 3 We're like co-workers.

Speaker 1 Ashley I.

Speaker 1 Yeah, DM. I don't know.

Speaker 1 Sorry. Her husband hitching.
Her husband was a best man.

Speaker 1 The rumors are true.

Speaker 3 But we don't know. I'm excited to see Jared being a husband of a housewife.
Are you talking about?

Speaker 1 He's too sweet. I was just going to say, who is he giving? Is he going to give us a little sense of the money? He's giving him Jared Todd.
He's giving Jared Himmler.

Speaker 1 I don't think Jared has it in him to call anyone a Biach.

Speaker 1 Because he's going to be like Todd being like, Miss Drama. So did they tell you who else was going to be on the castle?

Speaker 3 I was going to say, they would never tell me anything i nothing no my question was are you dming katie and can you show us the receipts

Speaker 1 i got it call back orange county yeah yeah yeah he has insiders friends oh yeah oh

Speaker 1 if you have to explain it

Speaker 3 no that was funny all right well that will do it for this episode thank you to all of our guests susie evans amaya papaya and brian as well as christopher briney thank you to them all we will see you tomorrow for a special episode with one of your favorite couples, Iris and Pepe, to wrap up our love island coverage.
