Speaker 7 Good afternoon, all you agatras.

Speaker 6 Animate into the stinky dragon and bibe our newest brew.

Speaker 9 Sight until the bitter end.

Speaker 3 It's a mixture of ancestral almond milk, burial butter,

Speaker 3 bound brown sugar, vanilla spirit extract, and a cloth full of scabber cinnamon.

Speaker 8 One gulp of this dazing guzzler will take you from entombed to exhumed in no time.

Speaker 16 Give or take, ten years.

Speaker 6 Previously, our adventurers vamoosed out of the violently vibrating vampire.

Speaker 8 While inside the tumbling tower, the party revived their rogue, recovered the countess, mended Eddie, saved Benicia's bacon, extracted quickly, heisted some hemo pieces, and freed the Farney family.

Speaker 10 Lastly, they leaped aboard the Groteth Express with an enigmatic elf.

Speaker 15 Bring over a brew and let's buckle up for this bedtime tale.

Speaker 20 Hello everyone, I'm Gristo Serroll, the Digimaster of our disgusting putrid party.

Speaker 22 I'm gonna hit our four players with an arrow.

Speaker 12 Do it.

Speaker 23 Grab it and break it in half.

Speaker 25 This week's role-playing warm-up question is, which of the following is most important to your character?

Speaker 12 Health, wealth, or happiness?

Speaker 24 I'll go first.

Speaker 2 Go for it.

Speaker 28 Hey there, it's Chip Peney, voiced by this

Speaker 28 guy, Blaine Gibson. I am a level nine tiefling rogue, volunteer, fighter, fighter, ex-assassin, and widower.

Speaker 28 And I say that the most important thing is health, because you can't have wealth or the other thing that I forgot. Happiness.
Happiness without it.

Speaker 28 You got to be mentally strong. You got to be physically strong.
Because how are you going to make your

Speaker 28 bank?

Speaker 2 Take two. Ready? And?

Speaker 28 How are you going to make your bank if you can't

Speaker 30 take three?

Speaker 28 How are you going to get your money if you can't?

Speaker 22 Cut it, honey. Honey,

Speaker 28 please go to someone else.

Speaker 33 I think it's actually very apt that Chip would say health because it's actually a statistical fact that widowers

Speaker 32 survive shorter than widows.

Speaker 36 Oh, really?

Speaker 37 Yeah.

Speaker 25 It's really sad. Wow.

Speaker 38 What an inadvertent dig at Chip.

Speaker 39 Like in many ways.

Speaker 28 You're going to die sooner.

Speaker 30 And you're.

Speaker 37 Don't worry, Chip. You won't be alone that long.

Speaker 28 That's the worst statistic I think I can hear today.

Speaker 24 Hi.

Speaker 42 I'm Chris Damaris, and I play Barney Fernie, the level nine human cleric.

Speaker 43 And

Speaker 42 health, wealth, or happiness,

Speaker 39 it's happiness because,

Speaker 12 well, I don't care much for money.

Speaker 42 The only thing I'd use money for is to make the people

Speaker 42 I care about happy.

Speaker 24 Wow.

Speaker 43 And then health, well, I think it's okay.

Speaker 39 Just someone cannot be healthy

Speaker 39 as long as

Speaker 14 they're happy.

Speaker 2 Then that's okay.

Speaker 45 That's beautiful.

Speaker 48 So you're fine being poor and sick as long as you have a smile on your face.

Speaker 24 Sounds like it. Yeah.

Speaker 49 As long as I'm happy with the people that make me happy.

Speaker 12 Okay.

Speaker 45 I'll go next. Me, Barbara Dunkelman, the voice of Elga von Breath, the female, half-elf, vampire, barbarian, level nine.

Speaker 38 That sounded like it was all cut together. Maybe it was.

Speaker 45 Maybe you guys are using snippets of my voice to make this speech pattern.

Speaker 50 Maybe I'm not here.

Speaker 12 Barbara couldn't be here today, so we asked Chad GPT to play us her.

Speaker 32 Just a soundboard that has barbed thing just saying like, bet.

Speaker 44 Bet.

Speaker 45 I just speak randomly during the episode.

Speaker 52 And you know, Elga thinks all these things are very important.

Speaker 52 Some might think that she would value wealth based on where she was living.

Speaker 16 Because she's a Nepo baby.

Speaker 53 No.

Speaker 52 But ultimately, I think Elga agrees with Barney that happiness is the most important.

Speaker 22 Ah, father-daughter.

Speaker 52 Because no matter what else you have,

Speaker 52 happiness is just all you need because you could be in any situation, but as long as you have a smile on your face, it's okay.

Speaker 12 Okay.

Speaker 55 I feel like this whole discovery and like going to Elga's home, it's like being a little kid and you go to your friend's house for the first time.

Speaker 24 You're like, oh, wow.

Speaker 26 My friend's rich.

Speaker 12 I had no idea.

Speaker 45 I'm I'm imagining the movie Richie Rich, where they all come over and it's like he's got a water slide and McDonald's in his house and like all this stuff.

Speaker 44 That's Elga.

Speaker 51 I had a few friends like that growing up.

Speaker 32 I was like, whoa, your pool is a saltwater pool that has like a beach kind of gradiation into it and a rock feature, a waterfall alcove with LED lighting.

Speaker 38 We got a Nintendo at home.

Speaker 28 It's, but

Speaker 28 N64 is out already.

Speaker 42 I had a friend who they had snack imaginable, every dessert. It was like a grocery store.
And so I, you know, as a little kid, this was amazing.

Speaker 42 So I would like, like, my friend, I would take stuff home. No, my friend would be like, yo, you can have some.
And then I'd take some home with me.

Speaker 45 Chris has been filling his bags with candy and chocolate ever since.

Speaker 30 Is this where your hoarding begins?

Speaker 39 No, no, but then I also

Speaker 30 sooner.

Speaker 39 My little brother, I was like, I was like, what do you want?

Speaker 42 I'll get you, you know, and so I was like, getting, going back with all these snacks. And my mom found out and she was mortified.

Speaker 12 I bet.

Speaker 29 She was like, yeah, I would be too if I was, if I was the parent.

Speaker 42 I was like, You cannot be taking like, I was like, but they have the best.

Speaker 32 All you're trying to do as a parent is not like, not all you're trying to do, but what you're trying to do, one of the things you're trying to do as a parent is like your kids not to completely embarrass you in front of other parents because you know that you're a bad parent because every parent thinks that.

Speaker 32 And then you just need your kids not to confirm it.

Speaker 45 Also, I just want to point out the irony of Elga saying happiness is most important when she's a barbarian and is full of rage.

Speaker 63 Well, maybe that's what makes Elga happy.

Speaker 64 That's true. Killing.

Speaker 59 It's a juxtaposition. Yeah.

Speaker 44 Murder. Yeah.

Speaker 37 Bonjour.

Speaker 32 My name is John Reisinger, and I play Mate Confisius, who's an Eric Cochrane ghost monk. And I pick option for chocolate.

Speaker 45 Chocolate.

Speaker 45 Which also is happiness, by the way. Yes, it is.

Speaker 62 Chocolate.

Speaker 32 But honestly, if I were to answer the question, like,

Speaker 32 I'll take the money.

Speaker 33 I can figure out the rest elsewhere.

Speaker 32 But if you want to give me the money right now, I'll take it.

Speaker 31 Is it a...

Speaker 66 This makes sense based on how Mate responded to the chest of humo pieces on the floor in the last episode.

Speaker 32 I I am a small business owner, and it is an aggressive economy out there right now. And Atro City is just not working out as well as I want to right now.

Speaker 33 And so I'm hoping to franchise very soon.

Speaker 32 So a nice little loan would work out, Mr.

Speaker 33 Arrow.

Speaker 65 That's his name? Mr. Arrow.

Speaker 25 I don't know.

Speaker 32 Whoever this gentleman that's in this booth is me that's asking this question.

Speaker 67 Mr. Arrow.

Speaker 69 Micah says that it's actually the economy in Grotesque.

Speaker 12 That's not bad.

Speaker 12 Get out.

Speaker 26 Yeah, it's very apparent.

Speaker 63 There's not enough rogues in this party if only one person said said money or wealth.

Speaker 70 Is that a dig at me?

Speaker 12 I'm just saying.

Speaker 22 Not enough. Listen, you can't.

Speaker 28 You literally can't have the other things if you don't have health. I'll fight this to the grave.
To the death. To the death.

Speaker 59 That's true. Health is very important.

Speaker 64 Health is very important.

Speaker 65 Go take care of yourself. Go for a walk if you're listening at home.

Speaker 26 And maybe you'll find some hemo pieces out on the ground as you're walking around, as our friend Mate did.

Speaker 72 As everyone catches their breath, the countess opens the train car door and urges all of you inside with a nod of her head.

Speaker 72 The countess closes the door and you find yourselves in a train car stacked with luggage and box supplies.

Speaker 75 She sets down on a nearby crate.

Speaker 76 As I was trying to explain earlier, I'm not really a Countess. I'm an agent of a covert organization called Sheath.
We are protectors of a great secret that must be guarded at all costs.

Speaker 76 That's why we're headed to Fonalok. My name is not Von Brath, it's Tempur.

Speaker 6 Sadate Timpur.

Speaker 45 Sadate Tempur.

Speaker 40 Have we heard that name before?

Speaker 45 This has been eating me up.

Speaker 77 Make a wisdom check.

Speaker 40 Okay.

Speaker 55 Bing bomb bing bomb.

Speaker 28 Well, like, if you think about, like, the Latin, like, what is it? Sedate, tempers, time, so, like, sleepy time.

Speaker 45 I don't know. Uh, 16 on that wisdom check.

Speaker 26 You can't recall ever having heard this name before.

Speaker 78 Okay. It's a mystery.

Speaker 16 Elga, you know her as mom.

Speaker 12 Aw.

Speaker 52 Do I?

Speaker 61 Yes, you do.

Speaker 54 Well, she left a long time ago.

Speaker 58 After an exhausting, traumatizing day, you all decide to rest for the night in the sleeper car.

Speaker 78 Oh, we'll take it. So everyone can take a long rest.

Speaker 2 Yay!

Speaker 28 This is our first one in what feels like...

Speaker 51 I don't think we did a long rest in

Speaker 14 Vane yet. You're just always running.

Speaker 45 Do I recover my exhaustion level?

Speaker 69 Yes, after a long rest, you do. Okay.

Speaker 67 And you all decide to rendezvous in the morning in the dining car for a little brekkie.

Speaker 61 Brekky.

Speaker 19 For our Australian listeners.

Speaker 36 I could use a second breakfast right now.

Speaker 48 Are we in a place where we can openly talk about private matters?

Speaker 58 Well, I would say that you walk into the dining car Chip, and you see your compatriots sitting down.

Speaker 28 If the first of all, this is completely inaccurate, impossible. Chip would be the first one there waiting 20 minutes before everyone else would get there.

Speaker 82 Okay, in that case, Chip.

Speaker 67 You're sitting alone in the dining car.

Speaker 84 The only other person in the dining car is a brawny, disgruntled orc train conductor with ferocious eyebrows wearing a blue vest with a name tag.

Speaker 69 I know that guy.

Speaker 48 You recognize him as just.

Speaker 86 He's slowly cleaning up, wiping the counters down, giving you a glance every now and then.

Speaker 58 then.

Speaker 32 I just want to point out, this is hilarious, that Blaine had the opportunity for us all to be there, but now he's alone in a train car with the conductor and he doesn't have a ticket.

Speaker 28 Dis knows me.

Speaker 28 I'd be fourth fright with this. Dis, I don't have a ticket, but I'm happy to help.
You seem to be cleaning up, and as a train conductor, you have bigger matters to go to. So let me hear you.

Speaker 28 Shoo, shoo.

Speaker 13 It's fine.

Speaker 87 It's my last day on the job anyway.

Speaker 14 What? what

Speaker 28 i can't where are you going oh i'm finally realizing my dream gonna become a professor at loftin college in atrocity oh yep gonna be teaching transmutation is that like uh like uh subversion of transportation because you know you're so good at that with the trains

Speaker 48 As Disf kind of sighs, letting out a gust of air, your compatriots walk in.

Speaker 79 It must be opening time for the dining car because the rest of your party walks in.

Speaker 32 I walk in and I address Chip Chip and I go, Finally, you're here.

Speaker 64 I was here earlier and you ran here, so I left for a bit.

Speaker 85 As you're waiting there, Zuzu Top also walks in.

Speaker 6 Oh, we've been traveling across Groteth to get away from the riots in Atro City, along with my cousin Lizzy.

Speaker 3 She's still asleep though.

Speaker 28 Wait, riots because why?

Speaker 3 Oh, those ordies think the Abralions are behind the Wolfman's murder.

Speaker 45 Oh, and so they're rioting because there's not a lot of Abrillions in Atro City, are there?

Speaker 14 No, not a ton.

Speaker 45 So they're just rioting by themselves?

Speaker 14 They are rioting in Area 15, trying to get us out of there.

Speaker 2 Oh, just blame us.

Speaker 88 That's what I tried to do.

Speaker 1 Tell you what.

Speaker 11 Why don't we all have a round of soda pop in honor of the Wolfman?

Speaker 79 It's the morning.

Speaker 71 What are you doing?

Speaker 6 That's the perfect time for Soda Pop.

Speaker 56 When do you drink yours?

Speaker 32 I don't. I

Speaker 89 uh. Monsieur, Diff, un cafes you would play.

Speaker 12 I'll take Mate's.

Speaker 48 Disp starts making one café for Mateed.

Speaker 19 And Zuzu starts popping open some bottles of soda pop. Two for Barney, apparently.
Nice. Elga or Chip, y'all want one?

Speaker 52 Sure, I'll take one.

Speaker 28 I'll partake, you know.

Speaker 28 A little sugary for my, you know, I prefer health over happiness and wealth, but what the heck. To be fair,

Speaker 32 a fun fact, my girlfriend, one of her favorite beverages to have with a bowl of cereal is a Coke.

Speaker 91 It actually kind of works.

Speaker 64 We should talk to her about that.

Speaker 90 I will refrain from commenting because I like your girlfriend.

Speaker 19 So, Zuzu pours out four soda pops: one for Chip, one for Elga, two for Barney.

Speaker 26 And you see it and you remember it.

Speaker 84 I think, Barney, you may have had one before.

Speaker 79 It's a fizzing blue, viscous liquid with squishy chunks floating inside of it.

Speaker 47 Zuzu pours one for himself as well, raises it and says, To the wolfman, and then downs it in one big gulp.

Speaker 53 Do the wolfman!

Speaker 45 Elga does the thing where she like puts her finger in and like licks it.

Speaker 62 Oh, I forgot it's not blood.

Speaker 52 Yummy. So we're the delicious beverage of your homeland.

Speaker 39 Barney, do you drink both at the same time?

Speaker 42 No, I think you drink one and then like hold out the other one in case anyone wants seconds.

Speaker 92 Chip, do you just sip it yours or do you down the whole thing at once?

Speaker 28 I want to check if there's anything in it.

Speaker 27 Just just like breath.

Speaker 93 Yeah, just like squishy chunks floating in it.

Speaker 28 I know, but it's like poison. Am I going to die?

Speaker 73 You can check it.

Speaker 84 You just saw him open it in front of you, but if you want to check it for poison, you can.

Speaker 28 Yeah, I'll do it.

Speaker 38 What do I do?

Speaker 24 We'll roll.

Speaker 50 I have

Speaker 61 it.

Speaker 42 How are you checking it for poison? I'm just curious.

Speaker 28 I don't know. As an assassin, I think I'd recognize the sense.

Speaker 58 I think Chip has experience with poison, so I think he would know with an Arcana check.

Speaker 28 Arcana. That's a 22.

Speaker 57 You don't think it's poison, but you don't think it would be something good for you to drink.

Speaker 28 Okay, I do that thing where I purse my lips and I don't like liquid pass. It just kind of catches cotton in my mustache.

Speaker 92 In that case, only Barney makes a constitution saving throw.

Speaker 64 All right. Oh.

Speaker 17 10.

Speaker 67 Barney, you'd down it.

Speaker 56 I think Barney would actually probably like it.

Speaker 19 It tastes like black licorice and artichoke.

Speaker 14 Ew. Yum.

Speaker 28 That means you're going to poop.

Speaker 48 Barney, you know, downs it, looks around, smiling at everybody.

Speaker 26 And as you all are looking at him, in the middle of his forehead, a third eyeball opens up.

Speaker 18 On Barney? Yeah.

Speaker 52 Barney.

Speaker 94 What?

Speaker 86 And at the same time, both of his ears fall off the side of his head, down onto the table.

Speaker 20 You've never looked better, huh?

Speaker 52 Can you still hear us, Barney, with both your ears?

Speaker 30 What do you mean?

Speaker 18 I can't hear you.

Speaker 51 What are you talking about?

Speaker 32 I don't notice the difference with Barney.

Speaker 17 What?

Speaker 71 I would say you still have limited hearing.

Speaker 20 It's like you still have the ear holes in the side of your head.

Speaker 90 You just don't have the earlobes to like funnel sound gas.

Speaker 45 Is he looking more like an abrillion?

Speaker 61 He looks unusual for sure.

Speaker 42 What do you say about my hearing?

Speaker 44 So you look

Speaker 44 good, Barney.

Speaker 45 And Elga does the thing where she like nods to everyone and points, like, right, everyone.

Speaker 90 Doesn't Barney look great? Yeah,

Speaker 71 he looks the same.

Speaker 42 I think y'all look great, great too and i've never seen you you look so crisp and clear

Speaker 12 would an extra eye give him like advantage on anything it would give him disadvantage on the three stooges i poke yeah because he's got three to defend now advantage on intimidating children i think like advantage maybe advantage on 3d movies there you go 40

Speaker 84 i think he would see more colors he'd have more colors he only sees the uh auras in the third eye though in the back of the car uh is sadate pacing back and forth by an empty booth.

Speaker 45 Could I go up and talk to her?

Speaker 75 Yeah, she's, like we said before, she's an eldish woman with dark features, black hair.

Speaker 92 Right now, she's wearing a navy cloak and matching double-breasted tunic, eggplant pants, leather boots, and around her neck is a red ascot.

Speaker 28 That must smell.

Speaker 51 This plant's made out of eggplant.

Speaker 48 Yeah, she sees you approaching and you know stops pacing for a moment to look at you, Elga.

Speaker 52 Hello, Mother. I'm in Miss Temple.

Speaker 16 oh.

Speaker 52 So, you said you're from Sheath.

Speaker 52 Have you been following us at all, or do you know what we've been dealing with the last week at all? Do you know anything?

Speaker 76 I don't know a whole lot. I do know of Carol's death, which is what brought me back here to Vania to try to figure things out.

Speaker 79 Chip's gonna walk up.

Speaker 28 I yeah, he was gonna give you guys distance because I know that he probably had some things to settle with your mom, but if we're talking about Carol, so were you guys like partners?

Speaker 28 Did you guys like know each other back in the day?

Speaker 16 Well, I knew of Carol and we had met before.

Speaker 76 However, I didn't spend a lot of time with her. Oh, you missed it.
She was recruited as a double agent to gather information about Eddie and what he was up to.

Speaker 52 I asked so many questions. When did I first come to Vania?

Speaker 76 Well, that's a long story.

Speaker 76 I was sent by Sheath to go undercover and to get close to Hugo. I needed to find out what he knew about Sheath and what we were doing.

Speaker 76 In order to avoid suspicion, I had to play the long game, and it took decades before he was able to trust me. Then he asked me to marry him and become a countess.

Speaker 76 Not long after we were married, I became pregnant with a child and nine months later, I was giving birth.

Speaker 76 During that process, I was given an elixir which helped with the pain, but lessened my faculties. Next thing I know, I'm being given two twin baby girls.
But something felt wrong.

Speaker 76 Hugo was acting strange, even more so than than usual, always looking at me curiously. And in my stupor, I must have said something to blow my cover.
He never left me alone again.

Speaker 43 Huh.

Speaker 52 So you gave birth to me?

Speaker 89 No, your sister.

Speaker 95 I think he's...

Speaker 11 You've been figuring out what you're doing.

Speaker 12 She was fooled.

Speaker 17 Yeah, she was fooled.

Speaker 76 Most likely.

Speaker 28 So, what's Sheath's position on Dagger?

Speaker 76 I can't say too much about Sheath. Well, too much specifically, unless the director gives me approval.

Speaker 76 I'm hoping that we can speak to the director by infiltrating Fonilok to reach the secret entrance of the headquarters, which is where we're going now.

Speaker 3 So

Speaker 18 why would someone

Speaker 3 give you Elga?

Speaker 76 Hugo held many secrets. Some I was able to ascertain and get information on, and some he never fully divulged to me.

Speaker 14 And is it true that Elga is my calliope?

Speaker 76 When I was first given Elga, I was very out of it. Hugo never told me anything other than that she was my daughter that I gave birth to.

Speaker 52 And I was just a baby?

Speaker 76 Yes, you were a small baby at the time.

Speaker 40 Well, Elga,

Speaker 36 if it's true,

Speaker 16 I'm sorry. Well, but

Speaker 52 I mean,

Speaker 52 I guess, dad?

Speaker 44 I don't really.

Speaker 52 I don't really know what to call you.

Speaker 39 You, I'm, I'm not, I don't feel like I deserve to be your dad because I wasn't there for you.

Speaker 42 And I know you already have a dad, and I know I don't care for him much because he is he did

Speaker 44 do not a great stuff but I I haven't been I haven't been around so I don't think I don't know well that makes two of us who are not the big fan of my previous dad Sadate says um I'd like to join in on that too

Speaker 28 man I really wish we had successfully drained his bank account that would have been extra

Speaker 28 So uh I know that there's there's a lot. Hey, from one secret assassin agent person to another, there's not a lot of stuff that you can share.

Speaker 28 But if we're going to be helping each other out, then we need to have a little give and take. So, have we encountered any other sheath agents other than Carol?

Speaker 76 I don't have exact details on your adventures. As far as I know, there were no others.
But if you find out otherwise, I'm not deceiving you. I genuinely don't know.

Speaker 98 Okay.

Speaker 46 And do we...

Speaker 33 Can you tell us who the director is?

Speaker 76 I can't divulge that unless I have express approval.

Speaker 45 Do we remember if we've ever seen someone else with eggplant pants? Because you describing eggplant pants sounds familiar.

Speaker 47 Eggplant pants.

Speaker 15 Make me a wisdom check, Barbara.

Speaker 64 Or Elga. Barbara.
Elga.

Speaker 12 I'm talking to Barbara.

Speaker 30 We're trying to figure out Elga's memories.

Speaker 45 16.

Speaker 74 You don't recall seeing eggplant pants in the past, or you can't place ever having seen anything like that.

Speaker 100 This is confusing.

Speaker 89 So if Ugo was

Speaker 40 juice.

Speaker 25 That is his

Speaker 32 that is his name if that gentleman who i will not say his name again so that gustavo does not laugh at me again

Speaker 85 sorry mate he was up in he was in the the the the coffin of the jail uh because he had let you elga go to atro city why did he let you go to atrocity if he's such like a villainous man and he then got himself uh absconded by the authorities it seems like maybe he was playing the long game of wanting to get locked up so that everyone would be gathered in the same place, all the important people, and Eddie would free him and then they would wreak havoc.

Speaker 15 Why did the spire fall?

Speaker 89 Did we figure that out?

Speaker 28 It's probably something to do with all the lakes and the rivers drying up.

Speaker 28 And then also, going off of what Elga's assumption is, if it seemed like Dracula was kind of like hidden away because he was remorseful for his actions and his, you know, partnership with Ugo,

Speaker 28 you know, a trial could be a way of bringing him out of hiding.

Speaker 10 He was in his room.

Speaker 89 He wasn't he wasn't hiding very well.

Speaker 42 Do you know anything about me or my family or why, like, how he came to be here?

Speaker 76 I know that Hugo was a cruel person, and he often extracted cruelty as punishment on people. Could be your family crossed him, and this was his way of exacting revenge.

Speaker 21 But

Speaker 39 he also killed Dragons,

Speaker 76 as far as I know, but that was before my time.

Speaker 18 Because I know a Dragan, I think, and I don't know why.

Speaker 8 why.

Speaker 44 We've met a couple, I think.

Speaker 68 We met that one guy.

Speaker 42 But there's one, that one that came from my watch.

Speaker 52 We also didn't go down into like a dragon belly or something like that.

Speaker 28 Yeah, there was like a dragon bro and graveyard. We were searching for something.
We fought a guy, but then Eddie got involved. And then I guess Phoenix was the- No, Sphenix wasn't there.

Speaker 14 Phoenix was later on Dragon.

Speaker 23 Wait, what was the thing about your watch?

Speaker 32 He made the Lost Is Gone the Time of Twilight, whatever his thing he said.

Speaker 14 Whenever we were fighting the Phoenix.

Speaker 2 Phoenix.

Speaker 64 My watch came alive and then it summoned forth the Dragon.

Speaker 14 And then the Dragon knew me.

Speaker 80 He was very hip.

Speaker 76 Fascinating. Dragons certainly were ancient, powerful creatures that were here long before many of us.
Their knowledge was both vast, mysterious, and magical.

Speaker 18 But they knew.

Speaker 70 Knew me and my family.

Speaker 61 Okay, so here's the thing.

Speaker 28 One of Carol's dying wishes was that I complete her mission. And I know that I'm not officially inducted into Sheath, but it seems like whatever Carol was doing has to do with whatever you're doing.

Speaker 28 You know, Sheath has one collective mission for the greater good, I'm assuming. You're going to have to fill us in on things that we don't know about.

Speaker 20 So what else is left on the table that you haven't told us?

Speaker 28 Because I'm here to complete my wife's mission.

Speaker 76 To flesh it out just a little bit more, it's not much, but when I learned of Carol's death and that Eddie and Hugo were responsible, that was what motivated me to return to Vania, no matter what the personal risks were.

Speaker 76 Which is when you all encountered me at the Triclinium.

Speaker 76 I knew I was in danger because in the past one night, Hugo came home blood drunken, which was not unusual for him, but he was also in an insatiable rage, going on and on about how the clans had ruined his plans.

Speaker 76 When I inquired, he lost it, and I knew my mission was compromised and my life was in danger. That's when I tried to take Elga and Evana with me, but I was no match for a ravenous and enraged vampire.

Speaker 76 So I ran for my my life and returned to Sheath headquarters. Time passed, and then that's when I returned to Vania.

Speaker 52 I have a question too. So, I assume at some point Evina was pretty normal, but she's acting very weird this past couple days.
Do you know what happened to her and why she's like this?

Speaker 76 That was not the Evana I remember.

Speaker 90 No, me neither.

Speaker 28 So it has nothing to do with the stuff that you were taking that kind of drugged you up during the pregnancy? That's not some sort of like super soldier serum?

Speaker 76 I don't think so.

Speaker 28 evaina she's not a vampire but elga is how does that work especially if you know hundreds of years have passed how is i mean i know that avaina is an elf but elves don't just stay still in time during their youths you know they they grow up and then they kind of you know

Speaker 28 this doesn't make sense why she's still a little girl there may be other magics at play that occurred during my absence that would explain that you know what would be super helpful gang is if we had like a map of who the enemies are.

Speaker 28 So we know Hugo's up there. We know Eddie for sure.
Is Ivana in league with them? I mean, it seemed like they were she was fighting with him.

Speaker 76 She appeared to be.

Speaker 18 Okay.

Speaker 52 But that is not really her. She, I don't know.

Speaker 52 That book we found with the ancient writings and everything like that, maybe she got into some funny business and kind of, you know, influenced the way she was thinking.

Speaker 9 Choo-choo!

Speaker 8 Next stop, Fonalock.

Speaker 14 Next stop, Fonalock.

Speaker 21 This we're talking.

Speaker 28 Hey, go back to your studies.

Speaker 79 Outside the windows, you see lush trees, both broadleaf and coniferous, whizzing past the train, and you feel the momentum of the train beginning to decelerate.

Speaker 86 Those trees eat meat.

Speaker 64 Okay.

Speaker 28 Well, are there any other enemies that we need to be aware of?

Speaker 101 Oh, yes, we.

Speaker 32 On your little board, can we put Miss Lofty Bottom on there?

Speaker 12 I agree.

Speaker 28 Sheath's number one public enemy.

Speaker 22 Yes.

Speaker 76 Getting through Faunalak will be difficult, but we'll deal with those situations as they pop up.

Speaker 42 In Faunalak, what is there...

Speaker 79 What are we trying? We're trying to stop Hugo from doing what?

Speaker 76 We are going to Sheath Headquarters. Then hopefully the director will give me approval and I can divulge further information on what's happening.

Speaker 52 One last question for you, Mother-ish.

Speaker 52 Do you know anything about Benicia Wolfman while she was in while she was locked up in the vampspire?

Speaker 54 Who could have done that?

Speaker 76 That seems like something that Hugo did. I wouldn't put it past him.
But I don't know. I had just arrived at the Vamspire and had started my investigation everything happened.

Speaker 28 It might have been Evina working under or Eddie working for Hugo because he was incarcerated at the time.

Speaker 45 I'm just wondering why they would take her daughter. Like, maybe it's some type of blackmail or like...

Speaker 28 Yeah.

Speaker 79 The train comes to a stop at Faunal Lock Station.

Speaker 38 Wait, really quick.

Speaker 28 Where's the alchemist and is he a Sheath agent?

Speaker 76 The Alchemist is most likely asleep with Francesca on the train.

Speaker 28 Ah, Francesca.

Speaker 53 Hmm.

Speaker 28 Well, guess we're gonna go to Sheath headquarters because we got a lot of...

Speaker 28 We gotta keep pulling this yarn.

Speaker 17 Just do it.

Speaker 42 Does Barney know where like like Marney?

Speaker 67 Marnie would have would be on the train, too.

Speaker 49 I assume you'd left her in the like the sleeping cart.

Speaker 42 Well, cuz I don't think I don't think Barney would just get off the train and leave then.

Speaker 28 Yeah,

Speaker 16 so I

Speaker 32 it on the meta level like no, I was gonna make a joke about that's what you did last time.

Speaker 32 But I but I did it. I did it.

Speaker 14 We heard it, though.

Speaker 97 I know, but well, technically, I think they were taken.

Speaker 14 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 40 They left.

Speaker 42 So, Barney wants to go talk with his family before we go.

Speaker 102 Barney, you journey down the train until you find the sleeper car your family's in. Upon entering, Marnie and your two boys look up at you with smiles.

Speaker 99 Marnie, boys, I'm sorry, but I have to go.

Speaker 80 What?

Speaker 21 But we just found each other.

Speaker 18 Look, it's just for a little while, I promise.

Speaker 96 You see, Elga, I mean, Calliope, she has some unfinished business.

Speaker 18 And that means, well, I do too.

Speaker 96 Because as much as I want to stay here with you and the boys where it's safe, well, Calliope and Chip and Medeed, they'll be in danger.

Speaker 18 And I'm not wasting a minute more of my life being safe while the people I love need me.

Speaker 12 Barney, Farney,

Speaker 21 you make sure she comes back to us.

Speaker 14 Both of you.

Speaker 49 I promise.

Speaker 18 And Stinker, you stay here. Look after them.

Speaker 42 And Barney embraces his family one last time

Speaker 14 and then leaves.

Speaker 74 Barney, as you leave the train car, Sadate approaches and says...

Speaker 76 They'll be safe on the train. We will return to them after meeting with the director.

Speaker 28 Chip puts his hand on Barney and says,

Speaker 28 Barney, I know that if I had a chance to be with Carol again, I'd take it in a heartbeat. Are you sure this is what you want?

Speaker 68 I but I can't.

Speaker 39 I don't want to leave Elga or you.

Speaker 99 Well, the bird I'm okay with.

Speaker 12 I could go either way with the bird.

Speaker 32 Mate's just drinking their coffee and enjoying their time.

Speaker 80 I'm kidding.

Speaker 84 I'm kidding.

Speaker 32 Matita's not. Matita's enjoying their coffee and enjoying their time.

Speaker 52 Bernie, it's okay. Don't be safe on this train.
And you, Mitchep, and Matid, all best friends.

Speaker 2 We'll go.

Speaker 52 Right, Mate? We'll go to discover the sheath.

Speaker 32 No one's casting Zone of Truth right now, right?

Speaker 94 Because

Speaker 39 we have to find out what, you know, help Elga with her family.

Speaker 16 And we're a family as well.

Speaker 12 Elga and Chip with our pet bird. Jesus,

Speaker 12 this is

Speaker 12 a fish.

Speaker 59 Mateep staring daggers into Barney.

Speaker 96 I'm just, I'm, I'm, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 52 Mate, now that Barton's family's back, Barton is all full of the chuckles and my joke.

Speaker 42 Mateet, I genuinely care deeply for you, and the fact that you've come and helped me save my family means more to me than anything I could say.

Speaker 16 That's a very sincere sentiment from Barney.

Speaker 32 Well, Matit smiles.

Speaker 14 Yeah.

Speaker 10 All right, so everyone's getting off the train.

Speaker 45 Yes.

Speaker 77 And you know, this kind of reminds me, and you know, it was a flawed movie for many reasons, but I thought one of the interesting things about the Eternals was the Komel Nanjiani character at the end of the movie, just like, like, I'm not going to fight.

Speaker 79 I'm not going to take part in this. Yeah.

Speaker 6 And that's kind of like where, like, the inflection point Barney's at, right?

Speaker 45 He just stays on the train while the three of us go.

Speaker 28 That's why I kind of presented the choice a little bit.

Speaker 42 Yeah, I mean, I think he would in some ways, but because Elga.

Speaker 9 Yeah.

Speaker 6 No, it makes sense.

Speaker 50 Alright, you all get off of the train, and everyone make me a perception check.

Speaker 52 We're percepting.

Speaker 45 16.

Speaker 28 13.

Speaker 51 19.

Speaker 85 11. So 11, Barney, 13, Chip, 16, Elga, and was that a 19 Mate?

Speaker 46 Both Barney and Chip.

Speaker 78 The two of you get off the train and you manage to avoid the steam cloud and take in your surroundings.

Speaker 58 Mary, but a few streams of sunlight pierce the dense canopy of trees that now surround you.

Speaker 92 The balmy forest floor is carpeted with twinkling toadstools, flamboyant flowers, and moist moss.

Speaker 20 Elga and Mateed, there's no noticeable trail or path headed in any particular direction.

Speaker 79 However, to the south, you hear a tree falling.

Speaker 76 Sadate turns to Euphor and says, Sheath HQ is located in the hub of Fondalock, which is to the south. But we should tread carefully.

Speaker 76 The forest is protected by all manner of beasts and natural defenses.

Speaker 57 Which direction did the tree sound fall?

Speaker 32 So that's the direction that...

Speaker 52 I guess we were in the forest when a tree fell and we heard it.

Speaker 82 Solved that problem.

Speaker 28 So if like Dracula is to Vania,

Speaker 28 what is... Is Nessie the Faunalock kind of head on show?

Speaker 52 Yeah, who's the ruler of the Faunal?

Speaker 24 He showed up at the festival.

Speaker 10 Yes, that is correct.

Speaker 43 Okay.

Speaker 28 So this is so this is like forest, but also like there's a gonna be a big body of water. I'm assuming.

Speaker 6 Oh look, there's a giant statue of a wonderful-looking fearbog.

Speaker 76 Yes, Loch Sessanus would be the giant body of water you're referring to here.

Speaker 60 Sessanus.

Speaker 40 Loch Sessanus.

Speaker 45 And that's what we were probably supposed to come over in that big ship, but all the water was dried out.

Speaker 99 Yeah, look at you.

Speaker 45 Correct? Yeah.

Speaker 28 Loch Sessanus not like landlocked?

Speaker 12 Because then it's not a lock.

Speaker 45 Is all the water

Speaker 21 dried up here, too?

Speaker 56 You're not by a body of water.

Speaker 39 You're not by the lock at the moment.

Speaker 19 I think Sidate's just hearing Chip talk about and speculate and confirming his suspicions about a big body of water.

Speaker 32 Hey, since I heard a tree fall, could I take a little fly up and see if I see anything else, like more trees falling or a hole?

Speaker 51 Yeah, you can get only so high because the canopy is very thick, but you can take a little bit of a peek, I should say.

Speaker 37 Sure.

Speaker 56 Yeah, you fly up and you see down to the south, like just more.

Speaker 46 Well, in every direction, you see lots of trees of various types, but specifically to the south, you see a bunch of coniferous trees surrounding one large tree in the center.

Speaker 32 oh this is where they have the unoptaneum

Speaker 48 what's coniferous what does that mean it's a type of tree it's like pine cones yeah okay someone someone uh someone else went to primary school in texas i see

Speaker 46 i like this place this is nice yeah mate would proceed south all right what's the weather

Speaker 2 the weather oh

Speaker 14 it's really humid and hot chances of rain humid and hot yeah Yeah.

Speaker 58 Have you ever been to Florida or Texas?

Speaker 32 Yeah, but this is.

Speaker 105 Balmy. Is that better?

Speaker 32 Yeah, no, I'm just confused because that's not how I would have expected this place to.

Speaker 63 It's almost like rainforest-ish.

Speaker 22 Oh, again, not what I would have expected.

Speaker 61 Do I see a cafe?

Speaker 55 No, the cafe is rolling away down the train track.

Speaker 31 Oh, is just leaving?

Speaker 27 Oh, yeah. Just is gone on the train.

Speaker 28 Guys, good luck, get the... That's a college.
It's not Yamford, it's the other one.

Speaker 45 Guys,

Speaker 14 the college? The college.

Speaker 28 He's getting a job as a professor.

Speaker 21 He's getting away.

Speaker 21 Lofton College. Don't take a look at Lofton College, sis.

Speaker 88 Teaching what?

Speaker 21 Transmutation. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 14 Look at that.

Speaker 10 Inspiration die for Chip.

Speaker 58 Oh, my God.

Speaker 6 Did it.

Speaker 45 Nice.

Speaker 28 It's like the first inspiration I die that it wasn't a joke.

Speaker 19 For bonus points, what's the mascot of Lofton College?

Speaker 28 No, it wasn't a potato.

Speaker 58 That's a, I'm thinking of the yam for yams.

Speaker 12 The Lofton Cubers.

Speaker 41 A tiger.

Speaker 56 Inspiration die for Elga.

Speaker 58 That was a good guess, Barbara.

Speaker 12 Are you kidding? Was it?

Speaker 64 I don't think we had said what it was.

Speaker 30 I was about to say that.

Speaker 82 Canonically, you just created it.

Speaker 18 Yay!

Speaker 45 Also, Chris remembered Lofton College. I don't know if we want to.

Speaker 26 Yeah, he did, but I'm giving it.

Speaker 49 I made my decision.

Speaker 10 I'm giving that one a blank.

Speaker 40 Fair enough.

Speaker 10 All right. Yeah.

Speaker 39 So you've reached the forested northern border of Faunalock, which is obviously that's why you're heading south.

Speaker 76 Sidate says, There are magical natural hazards here, as well as some creatures we'll need to avoid as much as possible.

Speaker 52 Like what?

Speaker 76 Air Air roamers and defilins. I'll point them out when we see them, but hopefully, we can avoid them.

Speaker 19 Dephilums and woozels?

Speaker 32 Okay.

Speaker 41 Air roams and air roamers and defilins.

Speaker 58 Air roamers. That's Pokemon.

Speaker 28 Defilins must be like zeppelins, but they're like definitely zeppelins.

Speaker 65 Yeah.

Speaker 76 Let's all travel as quietly as possible. Uh-oh.

Speaker 83 So everyone go ahead and make me a stealth check.

Speaker 14 Okay.

Speaker 56 Also, who's part of our gang?

Speaker 32 Is it just us and

Speaker 58 it's Euphora and Sedate. Sedate.

Speaker 45 And not The Alchemist and Francesca? No.

Speaker 33 They stayed.

Speaker 45 14.

Speaker 32 25.

Speaker 58 29.

Speaker 42 At disadvantage, I got a 17. Wow.

Speaker 32 I didn't say this in our last episode, but with leveling up, I was able to add ability score modifiers. And so now Matid has a 20 in dexterity and 18 in wisdom.

Speaker 24 Wow. Wow.

Speaker 32 And because of my...

Speaker 51 What item does it? Oh my God, you have pluses and everything.

Speaker 24 Because of my...

Speaker 24 I have an I.

Speaker 32 What item is that? I don't remember, but I've also,

Speaker 32 I'm 20 on constitution. So

Speaker 37 but just so you know guys still a plus one on intelligence.

Speaker 46 Oh, that's all I wouldn't have my party any other way.

Speaker 45 Yeah next campaign I'm gonna be so smart. Yeah

Speaker 2 so weak just like just a little brain just a brain creature.

Speaker 72 Yeah you all travel rather stealthily to the south and you come upon a copse of coniferous trees surrounding a large broadleaf tree in the center.

Speaker 58 And at the base of the tree appears to be someone taking a nap. This is where they made the cookies.

Speaker 45 Nice. What does the person or the creature look like taking a nap?

Speaker 96 Little chef, little chef hat.

Speaker 20 It's a baker, actually, I think, right now.

Speaker 22 Yeah, it's actually true.

Speaker 30 A word I should have used.

Speaker 83 Without getting closer, it's hard to see exactly, but it looks to be like a smaller dwarf-sized humanoid.

Speaker 28 Hey, Barney, you should do that like classic Barney whisper to wake them up.

Speaker 28 It's the most comforting way to awaken to you.

Speaker 10 to get into combat?

Speaker 28 Oh, is this a combat thing?

Speaker 33 No, I'm just saying.

Speaker 32 Waking somebody in that way, but it clearly puts them on edge.

Speaker 105 I point at Sidate and say, bad guy?

Speaker 104 She looks at it from a distance and like kind of narrows her eyes.

Speaker 76 It's hard to tell from here.

Speaker 28 Bad guy.

Speaker 32 The tree, we're at the base of a, or we're, we are approaching that large tree that I saw.

Speaker 19 Correct. You're like at the border of a circular opening and the large tree is in the middle.

Speaker 104 How big?

Speaker 58 How large are we talking?

Speaker 32 We're talking like, there's a city in there.

Speaker 104 Or like, man, that's an old tree.

Speaker 13 Like a redwood.

Speaker 39 Old tree.

Speaker 104 It's probably, you know, looking at the trunk,

Speaker 34 it's huge.

Speaker 92 You know, the trunk's probably

Speaker 58 an adventure inside this tree. No, not that big.

Speaker 58 Let's say the trunk's probably eight to 10 feet across, but the canopy itself is probably at the biggest

Speaker 20 50 to 60 feet. Okay.

Speaker 32 So just an impressive tree.

Speaker 42 Barney, go over, take a sit next to the tree and start whittling some wood like next to the person and like kind of loudly so they like might just kind of awaken them up yeah I gotta say if I was taking a nap in the forest and I woke up to an old man whittling next to me with that knife I would pee myself

Speaker 46 yeah you walk over and sit down and start whittling is there anything specific you want to whittle or anything you want to make um

Speaker 24 a knife no

Speaker 91 shit uh just like uh a little like a mushroom figurine like just a little oh yeah Barney you start whittling well make him a make some kind of check Make a

Speaker 14 right hand.

Speaker 84 Sensor.

Speaker 68 I feel like there would be something better.

Speaker 45 While he's doing that, could I see what kind of clothes this person's wearing?

Speaker 46 Yeah, let me figure out his check and then I'll answer that.

Speaker 19 Make a dex check with proficiency, Barney.

Speaker 32 Make an unarmed strike versus this width.

Speaker 42 So, how does proficiency work with decks?

Speaker 75 So, just roll your deck check and then add your proficiency bonus, which is plus four.

Speaker 42 Okay, so that's 11 plus four would be 15.

Speaker 47 Yeah, you start really carving out a nice-looking mushroom.

Speaker 98 Elga, make an investigation check.

Speaker 45 Am I close enough to do it with advantage?

Speaker 83 If you get close, and I think so far Barney's the only one who said he's walked up, you're still at the edge of the clearing.

Speaker 45 I want to walk up very quietly.

Speaker 93 I will do it.

Speaker 32 12. I just got perplexed by a word that I found in D ⁇ D Beyond recently.

Speaker 74 Dice?

Speaker 32 No.

Speaker 32 I had a moment recently in a DM moment where I didn't know what kind of check to do for a hand-like thing, and I thought sleight of hand would make sense, but it didn't feel right.

Speaker 32 And so a dex check for for this kind of thing feels right. But on D and D Beyond, you can click on each of these checks and see the description of what they should be for.

Speaker 32 However, there's a word in sleight of hand I've never heard before. And it says, whenever you attempt an act of légeur de main.

Speaker 45 Leger demain? Legure demain.

Speaker 12 Liger de main.

Speaker 6 Liger de main or manual trickery.

Speaker 37 I've never heard that word.

Speaker 32 That's such a fun word.

Speaker 64 I've never heard that either.

Speaker 45 Okay. It is a skillful use of one's hand when performing conjuring tricks.

Speaker 45 All right. Legeur de domain.

Speaker 22 Okay, cool. Fun word.

Speaker 37 Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt for learning good words.

Speaker 64 Word of the day. Yeah, ledger domain.

Speaker 58 So, Elga, you had a 12-hour investigation.

Speaker 67 You know, you're looking, you know, Barney walks over, plops down, begins whittling a mushroom.

Speaker 98 And as you're looking, you see that, you know, like I said earlier, it's a smaller dwarf-sized humanoid.

Speaker 13 However, you notice the body's actually singed to a crisp and its hands are clutching onto a small metal box.

Speaker 50 Oh, Barney just sat down next to a corpse.

Speaker 45 Is this person hello?

Speaker 45 Is this person dead?

Speaker 31 Most likely, yes.

Speaker 22 They were Chris.

Speaker 42 Could Barney not know this?

Speaker 2 All right.

Speaker 31 I figured Barney doesn't know.

Speaker 38 Like, Barney was so focused on whittling.

Speaker 42 Barney's sitting there whittling like...

Speaker 38 Hello there, stranger.

Speaker 52 Barney.

Speaker 45 Good morning.

Speaker 52 I have some awkward news to share with you, Barney. The person you're sitting next to is...

Speaker 12 He's a new friend.

Speaker 21 I can't wait to meet you.

Speaker 52 Well, you might be waiting a long time.

Speaker 32 His name is Bernie. We're going to have a weekend at his house.

Speaker 45 Could I go up and see what the box this person's holding?

Speaker 92 Yeah, both Elga and Barney, both of you make perception checks for me.

Speaker 45 18.

Speaker 28 Eight. I still think they're alive.

Speaker 83 Elga, the little hairs on the back of your neck begin standing straight up.

Speaker 56 Ambush.

Speaker 97 Okay.

Speaker 45 Danger sense?

Speaker 66 Chip and Matida, you're watching this.

Speaker 104 You know, Barney's sitting down, whittling a mushroom.

Speaker 56 Elga's, you know, looking at this small dwarf-sized humanoid, when all of a sudden, leaves begin falling down from the tree, and lightning seems to form very quickly under the tree and then strike down the ground around it at the base.

Speaker 48 Both Barney and Elga make me dexterity-saving throws.

Speaker 32 He's a weird forest.

Speaker 45 We just got struck by lightning, essentially. Yes.
Dexterity saving? Yeah.

Speaker 32 So you're saying you're thunderstruck?

Speaker 45 Got in at 20. 22.
12.

Speaker 28 So you're telling the better day of that.

Speaker 58 Is that you? Sandstorm? Yeah, did you make that?

Speaker 14 Is that you?

Speaker 58 Making that sandstorm?

Speaker 41 Same thing making a storm?

Speaker 45 Sandstorm.

Speaker 32 Oh, this is the sand. This lightning chip.

Speaker 84 I'm just trying to make a callback.

Speaker 28 I'm just trying to say I know some of your combat moves because we are friends and I'm trying to make a joke.

Speaker 28 Lightning the mood because there's a dead guy and Barney's trying to make friends with him.

Speaker 18 And we're getting struck by lightning.

Speaker 22 Elga, you dodge out of the way of the lightning leaves, but a couple of them fall on

Speaker 92 Barney and Impact.

Speaker 105 How does that conduct with his metal armor?

Speaker 14 Not very great.

Speaker 22 Actually, very well.

Speaker 45 Am I dexterous enough to also have pushed him out of the way?

Speaker 46 I'm going to say no. There wasn't enough time.

Speaker 41 Okay.

Speaker 12 Ooh, that's a lot.

Speaker 82 I finally just looked at the damage for this tree.

Speaker 84 Sorry, I got a lot of stuff to roll.

Speaker 45 And it seems to only have hit like in the vicinity of the tree, right?

Speaker 40 Correct, like right under it.

Speaker 42 Wow, I hope that wasn't damaged.

Speaker 35 Yeah, a couple of the leaves fall on Barney.

Speaker 66 Lightning strikes.

Speaker 46 There's a loud, thunderous boom, and the tree or the lightning does 53 points of damage

Speaker 63 on Barney.

Speaker 39 Holy moly.

Speaker 18 Well, Barney, look at

Speaker 28 Barney, look at the bright side.

Speaker 28 You won't get struck twice.

Speaker 45 Elga grabs Barney by the like neck collar of his armor and pulls him out from away from the tree.

Speaker 18 We can't leave this.

Speaker 2 It's not worth it.

Speaker 32 All of Elga's hairs are standing out on top of her head as she touches Barney.

Speaker 75 Barney uses, while he's being pulled away, he uses telekinetic reach to like pull the,

Speaker 42 what he thinks is that other person away from the tree.

Speaker 85 Yeah, you reach out and pull the person, and their head falls off, and the skull rolls around on the ground.

Speaker 12 Oh, my!

Speaker 66 And uh, you pull the body, still holding the box alongside with you.

Speaker 28 Mateet and I are still just watching this, just absolutely horrified.

Speaker 31 I mean, it's just a bad situation, it just keeps getting worse.

Speaker 45 Could uh Elga look at the box?

Speaker 10 Yeah, it's a small metal box, which strangely appears to be intact.

Speaker 45 Could I pick it up and open it or what's in that box? If there's any symbols on it, yeah, you uh it's a plain metal box, nothing's etched into it.

Speaker 19 You pick it up and

Speaker 85 Many's head. Oh, no.

Speaker 60 I just watched that through for the first time recently.

Speaker 69 It's a good movie. It's a good movie.

Speaker 25 It's very good.

Speaker 32 I just realized I just hadn't watched that David Fincher one.

Speaker 45 Why did you roll 3d10? I guess.

Speaker 59 Oh, because you find 20 gold pieces. Oh.

Speaker 56 And a picture inside of a dwarven man holding hands with a tendriled abrillion.

Speaker 23 A tender old abrillion? Tendrilled.

Speaker 28 Oh, I thought you said like a 10-year-old abrillion.

Speaker 23 I was like, who's he holding hands with that tender?

Speaker 45 And sorry, who was the other person in the picture?

Speaker 67 It's a picture of a dwarven man with

Speaker 110 Chronic migraine, 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more, can make me feel like a spectator in my own life.

Speaker 111 Botox, onobotulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine. It's not for those with 14 or fewer headache days a month.

Speaker 111 It's the number one prescribed branded chronic migraine preventive treatment.

Speaker 112 Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection, causing serious symptoms.

Speaker 112 Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems, or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition.

Speaker 112 Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection, side pain, fatigue, and headache.

Speaker 112 Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms, and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection.

Speaker 112 Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lugerick's disease, myasthenia gravis or Lambert Eaton syndrome, and medications including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects.

Speaker 110 Why wait? Ask your doctor, visit BotoxchronicMigraine.com or call 1-800-44-Botox to learn more.

Speaker 21 Oh,

Speaker 21 Barney's just literally burnt to a crisp with his hair.

Speaker 62 Just like.

Speaker 56 It's like a cartoon, yeah.

Speaker 99 It's like smoking, and every hair is standing straight up.

Speaker 12 Very good.

Speaker 29 The little hair that he has, it's all just like yeah, yeah,

Speaker 32 guys. You're probably gonna say no to this, but I, because you just brought this up.
But I'm gonna ask if on the train, Mateed would have looked for an exchange area.

Speaker 32 Is there a place that would have been an exchange area for hemo pieces?

Speaker 10 That's an interesting question.

Speaker 32 I'm just thinking this: these trains are clearly international.

Speaker 56 I would think that would be not on the train, but at the train depot or at the train station.

Speaker 48 You didn't have time to look on the way there because you were barely able to jump onto the caboose, but you could have potentially looked for one here when you got to Fonalock.

Speaker 75 Do you want to let me have a retcon?

Speaker 38 How many hemo pieces do you got?

Speaker 37 32.

Speaker 6 Yeah, there's a Travel Hex kiosk here that will exchange 32 Hemo pieces for.

Speaker 24 Oh, that's half a life.

Speaker 24 Well, it depends on the level.

Speaker 31 That what level I was at, that was half a life.

Speaker 56 Yeah, you can exchange 32 Hemo pieces for 32 gold pieces.

Speaker 74 I will take it because you're being kind.

Speaker 6 It's not a great exchange rate, but that's what you get at Travel Hex.

Speaker 11 I'll take it.

Speaker 32 Thank you. Sorry to derail it for trying to get my monies.
Oh, good.

Speaker 28 I had some too, but I can't remember how much it was.

Speaker 55 Whatever.

Speaker 78 Yeah, if you do find and you have some, feel free to go ahead and just exchange them one-to-one.

Speaker 104 Okay. Sorry.

Speaker 32 So, Crispy Barney, don't go near that tree. The metal box had a picture.

Speaker 45 A picture of, yeah.

Speaker 14 And a brilliant.

Speaker 79 Abrillion and a pod this dwarf.

Speaker 45 Yeah.

Speaker 39 And they were holding hands, you said?

Speaker 25 Yeah, well, tendril.

Speaker 12 Yeah.

Speaker 104 Sadate, you know, points out off to the side, off to the southern edge of the clearing.

Speaker 27 There appears to be a trail there.

Speaker 76 We can take that to continue to sheath headquarters.

Speaker 52 And is there any good way to protect ourselves from like especially those lightning leaves?

Speaker 76 Now that we see it, let's keep an eye out for more dragon leaf trees and steer clear of them.

Speaker 2 I think that's what I do.

Speaker 10 I'm gonna float.

Speaker 14 Okay.

Speaker 58 All of you make me a perception check.

Speaker 93 Okay.

Speaker 59 As we're walking down, yeah, that's very clear.

Speaker 45 17.

Speaker 13 18.

Speaker 24 3.

Speaker 33 I guess. 11.

Speaker 28 It'd be a saving throw if he was really about to do something to me, probably.

Speaker 65 I'm fine.

Speaker 87 Elga and Mate, you know, the two of you are keeping especially close watch on the tree to make sure you keep a distance from it and you know as you're looking at it you can see that the leaves that have fallen on the ground and the leaves on this tree actually still are shaped like dragon heads oh dragon head leaves that caused the leaves were the source of the lightning damage yeah lightning leaves lightning leaves shaped like dragon heads yeah and is the bark of the tree or the tree trunk shaped in anything oh the tree's bark is scaly oh

Speaker 37 is the tree.

Speaker 32 I almost asked the dumbest question ever.

Speaker 32 I was about to ask, is the tree alive?

Speaker 22 Yes, it is.

Speaker 24 It's almost like all plants are.

Speaker 38 Does,

Speaker 32 I don't know, does Mate have any history of knowing these kinds of trees? Trees probably are important to Eric Cochranes.

Speaker 56 I don't think Mate has ever seen a drygon leaf tree like this.

Speaker 32 I wish I had established earlier on in this campaign that I can talk to birds because I'd like to ask a bird a question, but that's not how.

Speaker 28 Hey, Sidate, is there any way to weaponize these leaves? They seem very powerful. I mean just look at Barney.

Speaker 76 Unfortunately, once they fall and make contact with an object, their magic and arcana are expended.

Speaker 2 Ah, hmm.

Speaker 32 Do you want to go get one real quick?

Speaker 80 I'm good.

Speaker 103 I think I might go get one.

Speaker 67 Sidate, you know, moves some branches aside.

Speaker 79 Come.

Speaker 14 The trail's right here.

Speaker 65 I want to get one of the leaves.

Speaker 24 Before it falls and hits the ground.

Speaker 64 I can help you get one.

Speaker 32 I want to get one. one.

Speaker 12 Okay.

Speaker 32 But one of the inert ones. I just want to get it.
Yeah. I go get one.

Speaker 42 While he's doing that, could Barney take a short rest?

Speaker 12 That's up to the party.

Speaker 6 How long is the short rest?

Speaker 35 It's probably say 30 minutes.

Speaker 101 He's old.

Speaker 78 I mean, I could also just heal myself.

Speaker 28 Yeah, but then you're going to blow your spell slots for,

Speaker 22 you know.

Speaker 69 I could totally just heal myself.

Speaker 61 Kealing chip later.

Speaker 58 Tree points. Yeah.

Speaker 32 Do I get one of the leaves?

Speaker 58 Yeah, I'll say you very quickly dart out and get it and come back.

Speaker 24 Okay.

Speaker 28 Can I give Barney a, like a if you have to go to sleep for 30 minutes, can I give him like a little piggyback ride so he can sleep on my back?

Speaker 6 Do that.

Speaker 12 Yeah, that's up to you guys.

Speaker 38 All right, come here, Barney.

Speaker 24 Yeah, nap time. Okay,

Speaker 2 okay.

Speaker 32 Gotta set a timer for 30 minutes.

Speaker 33 Chris has to be asleep for that one.

Speaker 12 Chris, close your eyes.

Speaker 24 Just go sit in the corner.

Speaker 12 I sound so good right now.

Speaker 45 A little nap.

Speaker 62 That does sound pretty nice.

Speaker 45 I love some naps.

Speaker 41 And everyone, go ahead and make me another stealth check.

Speaker 11 Okay.

Speaker 42 Do I need to, if I'm on his back, yeah, you do.

Speaker 23 Okay.

Speaker 45 16.

Speaker 32 28.

Speaker 105 23.

Speaker 84 I'll modify. I'm sorry.

Speaker 32 I plus 9 on stealth.

Speaker 80 It's a 5. I'm proficient.

Speaker 35 Everyone rolled pretty good, though.

Speaker 77 Yeah, you all managed to continue making your way further south.

Speaker 58 And you come upon this winding trail beneath a dense canopy of coniferous trees.

Speaker 86 And it's really difficult to see more than 10 feet ahead because of all the trees, you know, the thickets, fallen logs, and a few stumps.

Speaker 87 Oh, we're in Fauna La?

Speaker 47 Fallen logs. Oh.

Speaker 43 Bird.

Speaker 36 I'm not laughing at your next joke.

Speaker 43 Oh, that's not nice.

Speaker 24 You know, I will.

Speaker 12 We're just waiting for the joke.

Speaker 12 I'm working on it. Sorry.

Speaker 19 As you all are walking along,

Speaker 38 everyone make a perception check for me.

Speaker 45 Perceiving.

Speaker 42 Now, if I'm trying to nat, do I...

Speaker 39 Yeah, not you, though.

Speaker 28 Nine.

Speaker 60 16. 19.

Speaker 26 Elga and Mati.

Speaker 24 God, y'all are really on fire.

Speaker 68 Y'all are really good with these perceptions.

Speaker 9 I'm also proficient in perception checks.

Speaker 32 That's my two, that's one of my proficiencies.

Speaker 59 I have a post-card.

Speaker 56 You know, as you all are walking, you see in the trees animals hopping around, and there's like this weird hybrid, almost like a squirrel-like lemur jumping treetop to treetop, eating the leaves

Speaker 32 in the canopy. I turn to Sadata and I go, is that an air roamer or a dallophon?

Speaker 63 She looks at you and looks up and then stops her movement and whispers, That's an air roamer.

Speaker 80 Oh.

Speaker 52 Are they dangerous?

Speaker 76 Not directly, but avoid getting their attention.

Speaker 21 Probably for the best that Barney's sleeping, he would definitely want to adopt that pet.

Speaker 104 Don't want to sweep. That's right.

Speaker 10 So they're

Speaker 58 above us?

Speaker 32 Yeah.

Speaker 25 Okay. What do they look like?

Speaker 27 They're like squirrel-like lemurs. Okay.

Speaker 28 Lemur's a monkey, right?

Speaker 45 Yes. Similar size and everything like that.

Speaker 24 Yeah, smallish.

Speaker 66 Just before anyone gets mad, I don't think a lemur is a monkey.

Speaker 39 Before any listener gets mad.

Speaker 21 Is it related to them?

Speaker 105 I don't know. I don't think so.

Speaker 65 Are they marsupials?

Speaker 12 I believe so.

Speaker 28 That makes more sense. It's a marsupial.

Speaker 65 Oh, no. Lemurs are primates.

Speaker 32 i had no idea i thought they were primates i mean they're they're very closely in their witness primates oh did you see what's the movie with the king lemur seven no what what's the the jungle one with uh chris rock as a zebra

Speaker 45 madagascar oh yeah good god look at their little bulgy eyes very fun fact my cousin worked on a movie called into the wild oh yeah came out the same time that one got very

Speaker 45 as madagascar because it was very similar that was movies that That was the ants to Bugs Life.

Speaker 24 Yeah. Yep.

Speaker 29 So it's just a big old squirrel.

Speaker 61 So go check out Into the Wild.

Speaker 12 Just pour myself.

Speaker 105 John, you get a bonus die for teaching me about lemurs today.

Speaker 69 I said

Speaker 30 an inspiration.

Speaker 37 Inspiration die.

Speaker 24 I'll take it.

Speaker 50 Okay.

Speaker 58 They're above us.

Speaker 32 We did a perception check. We did a stealth check.
So can we just pass these?

Speaker 35 Yeah, you just have to move very stealthily through.

Speaker 32 Well, I'm floating, so I'm not going to step on any twigs.

Speaker 52 Up in the river, a stealthy quad.

Speaker 32 As long as Barney doesn't let out one of them old man farts.

Speaker 21 Stop provoking him.

Speaker 37 It's gonna be just fine.

Speaker 32 Do you want me to maybe carry you, Elka?

Speaker 25 I'm okay. Okay.

Speaker 52 I'm a bit strong, but I'm very light on my feet.

Speaker 87 Okay.

Speaker 53 Crunch, crunch.

Speaker 32 The sound of your axes clanging against each other.

Speaker 30 Five axes

Speaker 28 dragging in the dirt.

Speaker 29 You are a TSA agent's nightmare.

Speaker 52 Also, I want to stay close to

Speaker 76 Sidante. Okay.

Speaker 63 All four of you make me one more stealth check here.

Speaker 32 24.

Speaker 52 Nine.

Speaker 9 Sure, you don't want me to carry you?

Speaker 18 Elga!

Speaker 12 23.

Speaker 75 16 at disadvantage.

Speaker 28 That's not bad.

Speaker 21 Andy's seeping.

Speaker 23 I think that's why I did so well.

Speaker 25 Like, I'm not.

Speaker 39 Barney's not walking.

Speaker 63 As you all are walking, you know, you're looking around very carefully.

Speaker 49 You notice that Ilga is glowing very dimly in a blue color.

Speaker 24 Uh-oh.

Speaker 32 I wonder what Arimer's favorite color is.

Speaker 32 The monkeys. Elga, are you feeling down?

Speaker 2 Oh,

Speaker 2 hurry, create some great art.

Speaker 56 You're in your blue period.

Speaker 32 Listen, I'm trying here.

Speaker 51 They all can't be winners.

Speaker 104 Right over my head.

Speaker 33 Sorry, art student here.

Speaker 45 Do I feel anything? No. You feel great.
I'm just glowing blue. Yeah.

Speaker 32 Is she growing in size as well?

Speaker 52 Miss Tenpur. Temple,

Speaker 52 what is happening to me?

Speaker 82 Sadate looks at you. It's just...

Speaker 90 Uh-oh.

Speaker 53 Uh-oh, that's a bad thing.

Speaker 31 Sadate does not have good bedside manner.

Speaker 76 Oh, I mean, you're fine.

Speaker 14 Yeah.

Speaker 52 You said, uh-oh, I heard that.

Speaker 37 Timothy is like, we need to get her to a hospital right now.

Speaker 83 She begins

Speaker 83 patting you down, looking all over you, Elga.

Speaker 16 One moment.

Speaker 28 Oh, you have...

Speaker 32 Is the money cursed? Did you take cursed money?

Speaker 65 Was it the box? I don't know.

Speaker 42 But also, she had the worst check.

Speaker 45 I had the lowest stealth check. Okay.

Speaker 69 Oh, that's creepy looking.

Speaker 28 Oh, good.

Speaker 35 No, it's just a picture of what the Aramers look like.

Speaker 56 It's not exactly what I had pictured in my mind.

Speaker 46 They look like flying squirrel lemurs.

Speaker 41 They look like lemurs, but with skin between their front legs and their back legs.

Speaker 32 What's his face from Momo?

Speaker 37 Airbender?

Speaker 30 I don't know what that is.

Speaker 24 Yeah. I know what you're talking about.

Speaker 9 Yeah.

Speaker 31 It's Gus.

Speaker 32 It's your favorite film from Shamalong.

Speaker 46 That must not have been in the movie.

Speaker 27 Which is the only thing that exists to me.

Speaker 34 On the back of your leg, Sadate sees something.

Speaker 10 She pulls out a little dart from your left calf.

Speaker 50 Oh, a dart?

Speaker 45 Yeah.

Speaker 64 Good lord.

Speaker 49 Okay. And then

Speaker 48 the glowing around you begins diminishing and you lose it altogether.

Speaker 52 Did somebody shoot this into me or did I step on something?

Speaker 76 Sometimes the air roamers will do this.

Speaker 52 Those little monkey lemur guns?

Speaker 14 Monkeys have guns. They have like squirrel lemurs.

Speaker 28 They got like tiny little weapons or they like...

Speaker 16 They have little blow guns.

Speaker 28 That is the most cutest and horrifying thing I've heard today.

Speaker 52 And is it painful? Like what does it do? It just makes you glow?

Speaker 76 They're doing it to help the defilins.

Speaker 52 Oh, they're working together for prey. Yes.

Speaker 28 So it's like they target them and then

Speaker 2 wow.

Speaker 45 That's so they make us glow so that the other things could see us easily.

Speaker 51 Can I perceive if there are any deflants around?

Speaker 27 Yeah, make a perception check.

Speaker 44 But you know if they look like why did I

Speaker 12 curious to hear how this goes sometimes you just say yes, Barbara, and then you see what happens.

Speaker 6 I see I see a B.

Speaker 28 I see a nat 20.

Speaker 83 So you're looking, you know, know, Chip, you stop, you decide to go ahead and look around for defilins.

Speaker 92 Describe to us what you're looking for.

Speaker 28 I guess anything that would have

Speaker 32 eyes, you got to break apart the words.

Speaker 64 Okay.

Speaker 24 What?

Speaker 32 You know, it's like defilins, it's probably some sort of amalgamation of

Speaker 32 Latin words or prefixes or something.

Speaker 28 Then it's probably some sort of balloon-like creature. I'm just going to see if anything that stands out as organic that isn't a tree.

Speaker 58 So you're looking for something

Speaker 49 of animal.

Speaker 14 Yeah.

Speaker 97 Okay.

Speaker 10 You look around trying to find all the defilins you can with your many years of experience looking for defilins and uh yeah make a yeah let's call it a survival check why not okay wait is that the spelling of fauna lock is it like fauna like f-a-u-n-a oh okay that's fun 16.

Speaker 66 yeah you don't see any defilins oh yeah the only fauna you see are the um uh eramers

Speaker 42 let me know when i can wake up Okay, we'll give you just a little bit longer and then you'll wake up.

Speaker 69 Gus just wants a little bit longer.

Speaker 43 All right.

Speaker 46 So you all continue and I'll say this time everyone but Barney makes self-checks.

Speaker 78 You're deep in REM sleep right now, Barney.

Speaker 48 Yeah.

Speaker 32 21. The key moment.

Speaker 28 I can't let you wake up at this time.

Speaker 84 Otherwise, you'll have sleep lag or whatever they call it.

Speaker 104 Sorry, 22.

Speaker 56 25. Talking about train lag?

Speaker 38 What? No, no, no, no.

Speaker 28 You know when you like break an REM cycle and you wake up and you feel worse than you did when you initially took this?

Speaker 68 I hate that. Yeah.

Speaker 32 It's going to be train lag because we don't say plane lag. We say jet lag.
So what would be like...

Speaker 83 Well, jets are kinds of plans.

Speaker 32 Well, but it's like the jet on the plane we're doing. I'm just trying to think of like what would be on a train.
What's the locomotion of the train?

Speaker 22 Wheel lag. Coal lag.

Speaker 25 Coal lag.

Speaker 28 Coal lag is when your blood gets all solid.

Speaker 50 Did I kind of steal check from you, Elga?

Speaker 46 I don't know if I did.

Speaker 45 You did not. My bad.

Speaker 19 Steam lag. That's a good one.

Speaker 99 Steam lag. That's a good one, Micah.

Speaker 22 Oh, yeah. I like that.
I like that.

Speaker 28 No, that's when the summer sale hits, and I

Speaker 2 oh, yeah.

Speaker 32 That's when you miss the sale.

Speaker 22 Yeah.

Speaker 39 rolled a six six okay so it's a six for Elga uh was that a 25 for chip yeah she's now just super aware of these little darts I look at Elga and then she's like

Speaker 18 eight arrows

Speaker 45 yeah darts all over and all of a sudden it's like you know when you're watching Dune and it goes from super dark to super light and your eyes are

Speaker 6 moments like that.

Speaker 46 What was your stealth check, Mate?

Speaker 22 22.

Speaker 90 Okay, yeah, you all did good.

Speaker 65 Yes, all of us.

Speaker 85 You'll start stirring at this point.

Speaker 20 You all come upon a grove of trees with enormous trunks, toadstools, and sizable stones.

Speaker 41 In the center of the grove is a wagon.

Speaker 28 I put Barney down very carefully, not to like jostle him too awake.

Speaker 14 And I say, hey, Barney, yeah. Okay.

Speaker 39 Now we're in the Faunalock, right? Yeah.

Speaker 37 And there's these tiny little squirrel monkeys. Yeah.

Speaker 101 And they'll shoot you.

Speaker 22 Uh-huh.

Speaker 28 And if you do that, then you'll glow really bright. Uh-huh.
And then we're assuming you then get bombed by what we think is a zeppelin-type creature.

Speaker 80 Okay.

Speaker 14 Okay.

Speaker 23 You glow bright.

Speaker 25 What color? You don't want to glow bright. You don't want to glow bright.

Speaker 45 It's not fun. Yeah.

Speaker 24 What color?

Speaker 38 Well, so far we've seen blue.

Speaker 66 We don't know if that's the only color.

Speaker 25 Okay.

Speaker 45 Okay. Am I glowing blue right now?

Speaker 46 No. Okay.

Speaker 58 So we've seen mushrooms and just all sorts of

Speaker 32 stones and a wagon.

Speaker 14 Yeah.

Speaker 69 And the wagons in like the center of the grove.

Speaker 28 Can I sneak up on that wagon?

Speaker 35 Investigate. Make a...

Speaker 83 Well, if you're sneaking up, make a stealth check first.

Speaker 32 A T takes 10 steps back.

Speaker 27 18.

Speaker 56 okay and then yeah uh you um you know make sure your sneakers are good to go and you uh slowly make your way over to the wagon and make an investigation check on it that's a 17.

Speaker 92 as you're approaching you can see it's a broken down covered wagon that's missing a wheel and as you get closer and closer you're picking up more and more of the smell of vanilla and from the outside as you get close there appears to be something shiny glinting inside and you know as you finally you get close enough to be able to peek inside and see what it is, and you see a glittering dagger inside along on top of an open chest of gold coins.

Speaker 56 You know, since you were low and sneaking up, you notice an abundance of orange fungus growing on the undercarriage of the wagon.

Speaker 28 Seems tempting. I do like knives.
I'm a bit of a knife guy.

Speaker 51 I'm just picturing right now Tom Hardy in Mad Max, just going, That's the trap.

Speaker 38 Can I investigate for traps?

Speaker 92 Can I see if there's any traps?

Speaker 13 Investigate for traps.

Speaker 12 Yeah. Why not? Yeah.

Speaker 59 Doesn't check for traps like

Speaker 45 a good rogue thing?

Speaker 43 Yeah.

Speaker 14 Yeah.

Speaker 105 In fact, I think I should get like

Speaker 12 training on it?

Speaker 2 Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 65 You should have a candle that helped.

Speaker 95 Oh, that's true.

Speaker 92 Make a perception check.

Speaker 28 You obviously would make the worst.

Speaker 22 Well, I'm looking. I had to look it up.

Speaker 46 Like, it used to be something you could do.

Speaker 58 Now it's just you do a perception check.

Speaker 19 17.

Speaker 22 He had the most, the most like smug grin as he crossed his arms and said that.

Speaker 65 He's so proud.

Speaker 58 You, you know, investigate, you know, before you touch anything, you're kind of like Indiana Jones, you know, when he's looking at the gold idol in Raiders of the Lost Dark.

Speaker 2 He wiggles his fingers and

Speaker 23 sweat away.

Speaker 46 Yeah, you like run your hand across your

Speaker 49 mouth.

Speaker 31 Yeah.

Speaker 32 Oh, is Chip going to take an Indigenous people's

Speaker 63 rare artifact away?

Speaker 31 I look back at Matin with a glare.

Speaker 48 You know, as you're looking, you don't find a trap per se on it, but you realize that this whole grove appears to be dusty.

Speaker 58 It's like everything is covered in an orange, like pollen.

Speaker 32 This is like every movie has taught me. Do not trust mushrooms.

Speaker 28 I'm gonna hold my breath and I think I'm gonna head back to the group.

Speaker 6 I'm not gonna touch the knife.

Speaker 21 I think I'm gonna head back.

Speaker 12 So it's a knife.

Speaker 84 Knife on top of some gold cold cold dagger.

Speaker 45 And you're not taking cores in the air.

Speaker 30 Should I?

Speaker 32 You know what?

Speaker 58 You should.

Speaker 42 If you want, I could, I could, we could get it far away and I could use my telekinetic thing to grab it. Or make it.
To grab what? That's what I mean.

Speaker 42 Telekinetic is like a different type of mage.

Speaker 74 To grab what?

Speaker 31 The dagger. You mean this dagger?

Speaker 103 And I pick it up. Oh!

Speaker 2 Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

Speaker 28 That's Mate in character.

Speaker 2 Yes.

Speaker 12 You did it. You got it.

Speaker 45 Something lashes out at you doing 100 points of damage.

Speaker 35 As you are walking back to the group out from under...

Speaker 28 He just looks like a mushroom as he walks back to us guys we gotta find princess toadstool

Speaker 31 except he sounds like he's screaming now guys

Speaker 17 what's wrong out from under two of the trees pounce two what appear to be like ethereal looking lions are those the deaf ones deaf lions definitely

Speaker 22 lions why did i say zeppelin i was thinking i was gonna find a balloon not a lion everyone roll me initiative

Speaker 23 kitties Well, what's the...

Speaker 18 Is the knife cool at least?

Speaker 32 What knife?

Speaker 22 I picked it up, the dagger.

Speaker 85 16. What knife?

Speaker 2 What dagger?

Speaker 96 It was an illusion.

Speaker 21 These are

Speaker 64 spectral.

Speaker 28 I have clothes made of this thing.

Speaker 64 16, Elga. What?

Speaker 14 Thank you. 18, Barney?

Speaker 42 I did 18. I didn't do my double initiative because I didn't.

Speaker 90 You didn't specify.

Speaker 45 I have advantage online, which is why I rolled twice.

Speaker 12 Alright.

Speaker 69 They're like, are they displacers?

Speaker 90 No. Oh.

Speaker 69 Are they in the displacer family?

Speaker 87 No.

Speaker 6 Like, you know the lion, the

Speaker 28 panther? Okay, all right. No? Okay.
No.

Speaker 14 I like Blaze.

Speaker 21 Like, Gus, I don't think you heard me.

Speaker 33 Are they displacers?

Speaker 48 What if we keep getting into the nitty-gritty on this?

Speaker 75 I rolled a nine.

Speaker 14 I rolled a ten.

Speaker 78 All right, Barney, from your perspective, you see Chip walk up to the wagon and then with a big dumb grin on his face, turn around and start walking back to the rest of the party.

Speaker 69 And as he does so, two ethereal-ish lions dash out from under trees and charge at him.

Speaker 84 Okay, and then I'm up first?

Speaker 81 Yes.

Speaker 75 All right. And after, sorry, after Barney is Elga, then one of them, then Matita.

Speaker 42 I want to cast a fairy fire.

Speaker 68 Okay.

Speaker 42 Each object in a 20-foot cube within range is outlined in blue, green, or violet light.

Speaker 14 Violet light?

Speaker 42 Violet.

Speaker 42 Any creature in the area when the spells cast also outline the light if it fails. The dexterity saving throw.
For the duration, objects in affected creatures shed dim light in a 10-foot radius.

Speaker 42 So I want to cast that. Is there a way I can cast?

Speaker 69 How far is Chip from the lion things they're closing quickly from two different sides it's almost like they had coordinated their attack one's coming from the east one's coming from the west uh-huh they're both about 20 feet away from him

Speaker 42 they're both about 20 feet away is there a way i could target a 20 foot cube and not have chip in it

Speaker 42 not getting both lines because one's 20 foot west of him one's 20 foot east of him okay which one's closer to chip the one coming from the east okay i want to target a 20 foot cube that encompasses the line on the west okay and everything around it except for Chip.

Speaker 86 Got it.

Speaker 64 Okay, I'm riding very fire.

Speaker 14 Okay.

Speaker 28 I've just imagined this whole thing playing out in slow motion. Chip's just walking back really happy.
He hasn't noticed yet. He sees like Barney like pointing his finger to cast something.

Speaker 23 He's like, what's going on?

Speaker 42 So, and I would pick blue light.

Speaker 90 Okay.

Speaker 42 And that one line has to make a Dex 18 safe.

Speaker 91 Alright.

Speaker 12 Is that a new one? No.

Speaker 86 I just haven't had a use for it.

Speaker 47 12 plus 315.

Speaker 77 That's a fail.

Speaker 42 Okay, so that line and everything in the area is now glowing blue light.

Speaker 14 Yeah.

Speaker 28 It's the idea that you trick it into attacking the yellow one. That's cool.

Speaker 42 And then as my bonus action, I want to do telekinetic shove and pull chip towards the party.

Speaker 70 Okay, and is there a weight limit on that? No.

Speaker 42 Well, as a bonus action, you can try to telekinetically shove one creature you can see within 30 feet of you.

Speaker 42 When you do so, the target must succeed on a strength-saving throw, DC-17, or be moved five feet

Speaker 42 toward or away from you. A creature can willingly fail to save.

Speaker 81 So you willingly fail.

Speaker 36 I willingly fail.

Speaker 84 Willingly fail.

Speaker 36 Okay, so then yeah, you pull him and he moves 10 feet closer to the rest of the party.

Speaker 64 Five. But five out of the path of the creature.

Speaker 14 Okay.

Speaker 28 And if you'd done this in the reverse order, where you shoved me, then you could have cast the thing.

Speaker 51 And theoretically, I could have gone away.

Speaker 80 So if you want to hit both of them.

Speaker 63 Oh, no, because they're not within 20 feet of each other.

Speaker 93 One's 20 feet west of you, one's 20 feet east of you.

Speaker 28 I'm sorry. My ears? I need to open them.

Speaker 54 Nah.

Speaker 59 And then... Keep them closed.
No.

Speaker 46 Just a bit.

Speaker 69 Oh, Barney, your eye has closed and your ears have grown back.

Speaker 51 Thank goodness.

Speaker 45 I forgot.

Speaker 90 That happened during his short rest.

Speaker 57 Yeah, he woke up refreshed and back to his normal Barney self.

Speaker 28 The other eyeballs on my arm, though.

Speaker 23 And then I guess

Speaker 42 I'll kind of move Barney

Speaker 42 up a little so he's like within range to attack both of them, but not like in their path.

Speaker 85 Does that make sense?

Speaker 42 I don't know where I am in relation to them exactly.

Speaker 77 You're north of them, because you all were to the north.

Speaker 36 Chip went south to the wagon, and then from his position they're west and east to that.

Speaker 86 It's like a big T, an upside-down T.

Speaker 28 Okay, and then I want to say the part.

Speaker 18 If this works, we can try and run away.

Speaker 40 Sounds good.

Speaker 42 All right, and then that's my turn.

Speaker 52 At what point do I start calling you dad instead of Barney? I don't know. It's weird to me still.

Speaker 28 That's up to you to decide.

Speaker 64 You can just call me Barney. Okay, Barney.

Speaker 45 Papa Barney.

Speaker 23 I grabbed my teeth.

Speaker 17 It's so sweet.

Speaker 84 Okay, so I'm just going to go after you, you, Elka.

Speaker 97 Oh, I thought you meant she's going to go after you.

Speaker 12 No, no, no. And I was like, wait, what?

Speaker 2 In initiative order.

Speaker 44 Wow, what a turn.

Speaker 2 I got you.

Speaker 26 She becomes a lion as well.

Speaker 39 Elga, you're up.

Speaker 14 Okay.

Speaker 48 And then after Elga, Sedate, Adefal, and then Mati.

Speaker 45 Is there one close to Chip right now?

Speaker 56 They're both equidistant from Chip.

Speaker 26 The one, I guess I said the one to the east is is a little closer.

Speaker 45 Okay, let me uh run up to the one uh at the east. Okay, and I'm going to well, I'm going to rage.

Speaker 94 Okay,

Speaker 45 and I'm going to use my great axe of gaining

Speaker 45 to strike at it. And that is a 27 that hits doing 20 points of damage.

Speaker 61 Oh, I don't like that.

Speaker 33 That's a big hit. That's a big hit.

Speaker 45 Raging 17 plus three.

Speaker 97 Okay.

Speaker 45 And I will do it again.

Speaker 14 Yeah.

Speaker 2 Ranging in 22.

Speaker 32 Act so nice.

Speaker 99 Hit twice.

Speaker 45 And hits doing.

Speaker 2 Ba-da-ba-da-dam.

Speaker 50 21 points of damage. Wow.

Speaker 61 Elka's so strong. You leave my friendship alone.

Speaker 61 You thing? I don't know what you're called. Death a lion.

Speaker 94 Death a lion.

Speaker 37 When you say friendship, it sounds like friendship.

Speaker 2 My friendship alone. Ah.

Speaker 47 Double on tantra. Okay, and then

Speaker 45 that should be it.

Speaker 14 Okay.

Speaker 32 Did you take your form with your rage?

Speaker 45 I did not specify. I will take the form of a tail.

Speaker 80 Reaction.

Speaker 58 Okay, it's Sedate's turn after Sidate's Dephilin, the one that you attacked Elga.

Speaker 84 So I would think Sadate would run up right next to you, Elka, to also be up in the face of that Dephilin.

Speaker 84 And as she's running up, she pulls out an intricately carved bow.

Speaker 36 And then from point blank range, pulls back the string and unleashes two quick arrows at the Dephilin.

Speaker 36 How does she rush up to do that?

Speaker 52 She has an elf.

Speaker 59 Garage comes a little closer.

Speaker 56 I think metagame-wise, she wants to help protect Elga.

Speaker 36 Okay.

Speaker 49 And try to...

Speaker 49 I figure there's a reason.

Speaker 84 Yeah, present another target for the Dephilin so that Elga doesn't necessarily get hurt.

Speaker 64 Okay. Such a mama bear.
Yeah.

Speaker 45 I mean, this woman did raise Elga essentially from baby.

Speaker 58 Yeah. So.
That's a 24 and a 13.

Speaker 77 The 24 hits.

Speaker 48 She fires one of the arrows, hits, doing eight points of damage, and it impacts into the ground through the Dephilin's tail and kind of pins it in place and it's holding it to the the ground.

Speaker 87 Whoa, wow.

Speaker 15 It is that Dephilin's turn.

Speaker 78 It is unhappy about now being restrained.

Speaker 12 And you see a puff of gray smoke and it disappears from the spot it was at.

Speaker 19 Spectral lions.

Speaker 19 I wonder if this is...

Speaker 28 are there two of them? Yeah. Or is this just one that's making it?

Speaker 70 Okay, Mateed, it's your turn.

Speaker 98 Could I...

Speaker 32 The lion's not within visualization, the one that we attacked.

Speaker 23 Is the lion in the room with us?

Speaker 26 You do not see it.

Speaker 45 Okay. Dephilin.

Speaker 14 Right?

Speaker 40 Yeah.

Speaker 98 Could I check to see if I see it?

Speaker 54 Yeah, sure, why not?

Speaker 69 Make me a darkata chip.

Speaker 32 That's a nine.

Speaker 67 Yeah,

Speaker 67 you do not see it.

Speaker 14 You do not know where it went.

Speaker 32 Okay. Yeah, I guess I'll go for the other one.

Speaker 84 Okay, the one to the west that is glowing blue.

Speaker 32 Actually, which one did you cast Fairy Fire on?

Speaker 99 That's the one that fled to the west.

Speaker 50 Perfect.

Speaker 32 Can I go up to

Speaker 32 Sadate? Yeah. Madame.

Speaker 14 Do you still have that dot?

Speaker 76 No, I threw it on the ground. Okay.

Speaker 32 Well, just ruined my plan.

Speaker 76 They're worthless normally.

Speaker 16 Okay, then I'll go

Speaker 32 attack this other Defilion.

Speaker 40 Defilin.

Speaker 28 Defilion.

Speaker 22 Defilin.

Speaker 37 Defilins and Woozles.

Speaker 45 Frank Eska.

Speaker 51 Yeah, I want to use...

Speaker 81 Actually,

Speaker 32 how far is Chip from that one?

Speaker 83 He got pulled a little bit by Barney, so I'd say like 25 feet.

Speaker 94 Perfect!

Speaker 22 I go right up on that lion.

Speaker 14 And I use...

Speaker 45 That's the name of the creature.

Speaker 51 I go right up on the Defilin.

Speaker 81 Yeah, words are important.

Speaker 75 And I use...

Speaker 32 I use my sling of the sandstorm. And I use sandstorm.

Speaker 37 And I can expend three charges to create a whirlwind of coarse sand in a 20-foot sphere.

Speaker 37 Spentered.

Speaker 21 Spentered on me.

Speaker 94 Spentered.

Speaker 89 Some might call it centered.

Speaker 32 All creatures of your choice in the area have to make a deck-saving throw.

Speaker 33 And it's 12 plus my proficiency.

Speaker 84 So 16.

Speaker 16 16.

Speaker 70 I've got plus three on that.

Speaker 75 The DC save is 16.

Speaker 14 Well, I rolled a four.

Speaker 99 Just gonna roll me some lovely little damage.

Speaker 32 21.

Speaker 61 21 points of damage? What are you Elga? Slashing damage.

Speaker 32 And they're blinded until the end of their next turn.

Speaker 32 All right.

Speaker 64 And if they're blinded, do I get like advantage on anything?

Speaker 86 Well, you already have advantage on your attack rolls because of the fairy fire.

Speaker 80 Oh, cool, cool, cool.

Speaker 32 Then I'm going to go ahead and stab this cat with the spear of the superior baker.

Speaker 11 18. That hits.

Speaker 80 And that is another d8.

Speaker 58 7 plus 7 is 14.

Speaker 16 All right.

Speaker 51 And with my muffin of stardust,

Speaker 32 when I make a successful attack,

Speaker 32 I can choose to take advantage on a roll before the end of my next turn.

Speaker 6 Okay.

Speaker 58 So I'm going to proc that.

Speaker 51 Or just remember that I have that.

Speaker 60 Because I have forgotten I've had that since you gave me that muffin.

Speaker 32 And then since I have a bonus action still, I'll just do Flare Blows.

Speaker 91 That's a quick and easy. All right.

Speaker 36 That's an easy, dirty hit.

Speaker 69 That's 16.

Speaker 80 That hits. Okay.

Speaker 60 D6. 4 plus 5 is 9.

Speaker 87 All right.

Speaker 32 And that is 21.

Speaker 84 21 points.

Speaker 75 Is that 21 to hit?

Speaker 29 21 to hit. Yeah, that hits.

Speaker 33 And I rolled a 6 plus 5. 11.

Speaker 77 That is a lot of damage.

Speaker 17 What was that?

Speaker 19 Like 55 points or something?

Speaker 9 Yeah.

Speaker 87 I don't know.

Speaker 12 Yeah, I think with my pressure.

Speaker 33 I learned to say yes to gus math.

Speaker 36 It was 55.

Speaker 32 Trust in the gus. He's like a calculator.

Speaker 68 Kind of.

Speaker 32 And I'm done.

Speaker 86 I used to do academic competitions when I was in elementary school where you just did math without a calculator.

Speaker 93 No calculator and no scratch paper.

Speaker 69 You could only write answers down on the paper.

Speaker 45 That is impressive.

Speaker 33 Just beating the dates off with a stick, right?

Speaker 42 I used to be okay at doing like long

Speaker 42 multiplication and stuff in my head. There were like tricks to it.
I don't do it anyway.

Speaker 64 It's terrible.

Speaker 53 Chip, you're up.

Speaker 46 Okay. Anyway, enough about that nerd stuff.

Speaker 72 Let's play some DD.

Speaker 85 More math, more math.

Speaker 28 So Mate is within... Would you say Matit is within five feet?

Speaker 32 Yeah, I'm on. I went to melee range for the spear.

Speaker 48 Okay, then I'm going to run up and use my arm blade of blurbling.

Speaker 28 And because Matita is within five feet, then that gives me the.

Speaker 99 Gives you the ability to use sneak die.

Speaker 79 Question, teacher. Yeah.

Speaker 32 Yeah. Oh, you can use sneak die if I'm close.

Speaker 72 You don't need to go hide.

Speaker 58 As long as someone else is within five feet, yeah, I'd give you the sneak die prop.

Speaker 86 Cool. Yeah.

Speaker 51 Then there. Just want to make sure you're using your sneak die.

Speaker 51 Well, I'm lucky for you, yeah.

Speaker 28 Good. So I get advantage on that.
So that's it.

Speaker 9 21

Speaker 9 21.

Speaker 97 That hits. Okay.

Speaker 28 And then I do the

Speaker 32 that's 10 piercing.

Speaker 74 And then I do an additional 1d4 acid damage.

Speaker 60 That's the arm blade. Yeah.

Speaker 60 And that's two.

Speaker 11 So that's 12 total?

Speaker 90 12 total. Total.

Speaker 36 Yeah.

Speaker 42 And then...

Speaker 80 How much sneak that you got?

Speaker 28 5d6.

Speaker 43 Wow. You want to roll a real one?

Speaker 80 Sure. Okay.

Speaker 28 There you go. Okay, here we go.

Speaker 2 There you go. I've caught three.

Speaker 84 Alright, that's a four

Speaker 87 plus six.

Speaker 91 That's ten.

Speaker 60 Plus three, that's 13.

Speaker 36 Plus six, that's 19.

Speaker 91 Plus two, that's 21. That was five.

Speaker 11 Was that five? Yeah.

Speaker 27 20.

Speaker 20 Four? Wait, what?

Speaker 20 How many d6 was it? Oh, God.

Speaker 3 I thought how many

Speaker 10 five wait, five?

Speaker 14 Wait. Oh,

Speaker 21 she's saying the two was a...

Speaker 97 How many d6?

Speaker 18 It's 24. You're at 24.

Speaker 14 5 d6.

Speaker 32 Okay, you got to 21 at 5 5 rolls.

Speaker 99 Okay, then 21. 21, okay.

Speaker 21 21 additional damage.

Speaker 40 Wow.

Speaker 33 How's it looking?

Speaker 12 That's pretty beat up.

Speaker 14 It's not looking good.

Speaker 28 Okay, and then I'm going to use my bonus to go into hiding.

Speaker 2 I'm going to use cunning action.

Speaker 36 Okay, so roll for stealth him.

Speaker 51 Yep. Okay.

Speaker 33 He's an advantage.

Speaker 75 That's a 27 and a...

Speaker 61 24. 27.

Speaker 90 Okay. Yeah, you're all sneaky.

Speaker 20 Okay. Alright, it's that Defilin's turn.

Speaker 10 Who's it gonna attack?

Speaker 88 It's a typical humanoid harassment.

Speaker 88 I would never expect anything more from your kind.

Speaker 6 And it disappears with a puff of smoke.

Speaker 22 Oh my god, I feel terrible. They came after us first, did they not?

Speaker 28 Yeah, but like, he's talking. He sees it talking.
Deflin. He's so cute.

Speaker 45 He's crying, too.

Speaker 28 Deflin, if you can hear me, I am so sorry. You did, you know, attack us first, but like...

Speaker 20 Did they?

Speaker 22 Yeah, well, they were running at us.

Speaker 14 Well, he told us to roll initiative.

Speaker 59 So this is Gus's fault.

Speaker 60 Yeah.

Speaker 12 We can all agree on that. Okay, it's Gus's fault.

Speaker 52 If you can hear Ostephilin, it's Gustavo to roll himself.

Speaker 21 I wasn't trying to attack you.

Speaker 28 I was trying to make you attack each other.

Speaker 52 It told us to roll initiative.

Speaker 61 Well, I hope you all are happy with yourselves.

Speaker 12 Yeah, I hope you're happy, Gush.

Speaker 43 I'm not.

Speaker 66 All right, so Siddhatia just kind of like shakes her head.

Speaker 76 Don't listen to those stephelin.

Speaker 52 But they talk. I think they're just manipulating us.

Speaker 89 It's working.

Speaker 105 They're difficult.

Speaker 76 Come on, let's continue. Okay.

Speaker 24 All right.

Speaker 20 After a bit more trekking through trees and thick thickets, you all start to hear the soothing sounds of water lapping on shore.

Speaker 57 You also notice more gnarly roots cropping up from the soil in this part of the forest.

Speaker 48 Sadate holds up a closed fist with one hand and then a single finger to her lips.

Speaker 8 Everyone roll a perception check. Oh.
Kill us as the big lamp.

Speaker 9 17. 16.

Speaker 45 16 as well.

Speaker 96 7.

Speaker 96 Just subtract 9 from everybody else's. 10 for your suit.

Speaker 61 There's a lot of purr checks.

Speaker 45 Persuasion, perception, performance.

Speaker 66 Chip, it's taking everything in your body not to make a sound.

Speaker 69 You're thinking of a funny joke you heard earlier.

Speaker 10 And

Speaker 34 for some reason, it's just like really tickling you right now.

Speaker 92 The other three of you, just past some trees up ahead, you hear footsteps, and you can make out two voices chatting to each other.

Speaker 48 It sounds like one of them mentions something called corner cops, and the other says, Ma, have mercy on us.

Speaker 58 And a moment later, Sadate lowers her hand.

Speaker 76 It sounds like we're in the clear. There were a couple of funnel

Speaker 45 Fanal lotion?

Speaker 32 Fanolotions?

Speaker 10 Yes, the locals.

Speaker 58 Are Fanolotions kind of like the same

Speaker 28 thing as Nessie?

Speaker 29 Like kind of aqua-faring creatures?

Speaker 45 Yeah, what's a funnelotion?

Speaker 76 Not always necessarily. They're more bestial-looking creatures.

Speaker 28 Bestial, as in like they're furry.

Speaker 76 They can be.

Speaker 45 And a cornicop?

Speaker 60 Is that like... That's what they were.

Speaker 32 We thought they might be saying it.

Speaker 58 Yeah, they might be saying it. I might be saying it.

Speaker 76 We did well enough to bypass Fondalock's defenses, but now comes the hard part, sneaking through town and reaching Sheath HQ.

Speaker 32 Yeah, why do we need to sneak into this town?

Speaker 76 The Fondalotians aren't fond of humanoids.

Speaker 32 We have to deal with some more racist people.

Speaker 28 The Fondolotians aren't fond.

Speaker 76 We are currently sitting a few hundred feet from the shores of Loch Sessanus, and headquarters is due southeast at the shoreline.

Speaker 76 But there are potentially several dozen locals between us and our destination. We need to find a way to sneak through town unnoticed or blend in with the Fondalotians.

Speaker 76 Usually I'm alone and well stocked with the resources from sheath but i'm afraid we are on our own until we sync up with hq

Speaker 76 any ideas how do we blend in with them if we don't know what they look like well we just don't want to be noticed you said we were approaching water

Speaker 98 is lock cessness along the shore this is this water is lock cessnis and there is water right like it's not dried up correct is uh you and you all heard the sounds of you know water lapping or hitting the shore well that's what i'm asking is is this a city that is on the land or is this a city that is on the water or on the land on the land okay yeah i realize in d d you have to you have to ask those kinds of questions perhaps we could uh could we approach it via the watto like swim across we can try that i wouldn't recommend that though there are many hazards in the water it would be more difficult okay is there anything we could maybe do to ourselves our person to make us blend in and not seem like humanoids if you have anything that helps disguise yourself i mean i have some concealer of unsightliness I'm not familiar with that, but we can try that, or we can try sneaking.

Speaker 32 What's the concealer of unsightliness do? Does it give it a zits?

Speaker 45 It turns you invisible along with anything you are wearing or carrying on your person lasts for one hour. Oh, dang.

Speaker 76 That does sound like that would work very well, then. Yes.

Speaker 32 But that's got like one use.

Speaker 45 I'm assuming it's just.

Speaker 32 So that would cover one of us.

Speaker 58 Another one of us has invisibility powers.

Speaker 66 Well, I can't go invisible for one minute.

Speaker 103 And

Speaker 62 you just keep casting it over.

Speaker 42 No, because it's a fourth level spell.

Speaker 45 Do you have like a disguise kit or anything like that?

Speaker 76 She hears you, Barney, and says, You could try sneaking along in the trees to close as much distance as possible and then use your ability for the final minute to run through the clearing to get to the entrance to Sheath headquarters.

Speaker 42 Can I look up and see what, like, what's the light?

Speaker 69 He wants to know if he can fly.

Speaker 42 Yeah, is it dim?

Speaker 20 Sure, because of all the trees, I'll say sure.

Speaker 1 Yeah, I could fly.

Speaker 52 Okay, I'll put on my concealer. Chip is going to disguise himself, and then I assume Mat and Barney are going to fly.

Speaker 28 Who is Chip?

Speaker 28 And you look and Chip has already disguised himself.

Speaker 11 I am Carl

Speaker 54 from Fonilock.

Speaker 52 Another human name.

Speaker 28 Pleasure to meet you.

Speaker 66 I can think you're like Gene Parmesan in Arrested Development.

Speaker 12 He's got a crappy disguise on.

Speaker 38 All right.

Speaker 20 Everyone, make me stealth checks, but I'll tell you what, everyone have advantage, except for you, Barney.

Speaker 84 Just make a normal one since you're normally disadvantaged.

Speaker 42 And I'm flying up.

Speaker 12 Mm-hmm.

Speaker 56 Just because you all came up with some creative solutions here.

Speaker 45 I did a 15.

Speaker 28 Not 20. 30.

Speaker 12 23.

Speaker 24 I rolled a 1.

Speaker 69 I critically fit.

Speaker 28 I think a 30 is the highest sh check I think I've ever gotten.

Speaker 40 Yeah. That's pretty good.

Speaker 19 It's really impressive.

Speaker 85 And that was a 1, Barney?

Speaker 82 Yeah. Well, luckily for you, this is a group check.

Speaker 78 So everyone manages to do okay.

Speaker 79 You all make your way, sneaking and trying your best to avoid the locals, and eventually you come upon an isolated copse of shady trees where you find a lonely stump covered in lichen.

Speaker 72 Sedante looks around for a moment, then furtively steps forward.

Speaker 58 She brushes off some moss from the trunk and you see it.

Speaker 86 The sigil of sheath hidden in the grain of the bark.

Speaker 58 Sedante reaches out into the air and grabs something just above the stump.

Speaker 92 Then she lowers her arm into the stump and you all hear the soft sheathing of a blade.

Speaker 57 The stump twists and lowers into the ground, revealing a spiral staircase beneath the earth.

Speaker 3 Quickly now, everyone inside.

Speaker 18 Okay, there I come.

Speaker 92 You all make your way down the staircase into humid darkness until you finally reach the floor of a vague room veiled in shadow.

Speaker 86 The stump and staircase twist back into place above you, thus extinguishing the last bit of light from the room.

Speaker 69 A voice echoes in the chamber.

Speaker 112 I wondered when you all would find your way down here.

Speaker 20 I was beginning to think you were getting cold feet.

Speaker 86 You hear the striking of a match, and a small flickering flame illuminates the face of a plump mustachioed man wearing a blue coat with a high collar.

Speaker 88 Welcome, detectives. I'm Director Carl Wazer of She.

Speaker 88 What?

Speaker 88 The Weezer!

Speaker 39 I knew he'd be a good one.

Speaker 42 Did we have a Colombo incident here?

Speaker 62 Yeah, it seems so.

Speaker 18 Find out who Columbo is on the next episode of Tales from the Stinky Dragon.

Speaker 84 I knew it.

Speaker 45 I knew we'd see Carl Weezer again.

Speaker 6 Well, yeah, he was giving you your stipend. You had to see him.

Speaker 61 He's going to pay you.

Speaker 39 Give me my money.

Speaker 75 I feel like you can get more fresh milk than ancestral almond milk.

Speaker 32 Yeah.

Speaker 50 But

Speaker 20 it's a heritage.

Speaker 27 I have no idea what that means.

Speaker 20 Blaine looked around to see if anybody else had a reaction.
