Good morning, millennials, and welcome back to the Joast.

Happy Tuesday.

Thank you for choosing

to spend the day with us.

Yesterday was a long one, don't you feel?

Yesterday was giving multi-day, multi-hyphenate.

It was giving multi-day that turned out to be solo day, and it's only the day of the choose, after all.

Speaking of hyphenate, like okay, tangent almost immediately.

Growing up, there was like one kid in every class who had like a hyphenated last name.

It was like Cohen Schwartzberg.

And it was like kind of embarrassing.

Like, why do you have two last names?

It was like, ew.

And never have I understood anything more now as an adult.

Like, yeah, that was a mom who knew

her worth.

And she knew where she stood.

And she had power.

And honestly, like, as much as we clown on that kid, we should have been respecting him because he was raised by a powerful woman.

I do think we have had this conversation before or an iteration of it.

And I have so many thoughts.

Like, one, I think nowadays there's a lot more kids in the class like that.

Like a lot more women really sticking up for their last name.

Two, I feel as though we don't need a hyphen.

Like,

why not just the two names?

Why do we have to hyphenate it?

Because if we're going to hyphenate it, let's make a joint last name.

Yeah.

It's time for the joint last name.

You know, I actually had a teacher, I think you had her too, who had a hyphenated last name, and she was much older.

So the fact that she had a hyphenated last name at her age was like way beyond her time.

Do you remember that Hebrew teacher?

Yeah.

She was a queen.

I think it's time for the fusion of last names.

I've been on this team for a while now.

However, then it just makes things like muddy when you think about your ancestors.

Like you don't have the same last name as them.

I'm not on the team team of fusing, of

fusioning, because like you said, you lose the history of a name and that's what's so great about a name is the history that lies within it.

I think we're going with the better name phonetically, historically, whose family has a more impressive background?

I also think that logistically, it would be easier for society if children took their mother's last names because like

whether or not the father is in the picture, like you're going to be with the mother.

And like sometimes

people don't have a dad or don't claim their father and like they have his last name.

Like that's weird to me.

I completely agree.

Like put some respect on the mother.

And we can always confirm who the mother is.

And I feel like throughout history, that's been much easier than it is now.

Now we have paternity tests.

So it's like a little crazy when someone's like running around with the last name.

I know what you're going to say.

Patriarchy.

Oh, I thought you were going to say.

Yes.

Don't say what.

But yes.

What?

What?

Prince Harry?

Oh, oh, oh, no, that's all I was going to say.

Yeah, Prince Harry, like questionable paternity.

What were you going to say?

I'll tell you offline.

It's not an appropriate joke to make.

Oh, okay.

Wow.

I'm so excited.

So, yeah, those are my thoughts.

I have accepted like the societal framework that we live within.

And I don't push back against it, but you asked me my thoughts on the matter.

And those are my thoughts.

Like, it makes no sense.

It makes no sense.

It's downright disrespectful.

And you couldn't catch me like growing up as being one of those people who wasn't going to take her husband's last name.

I was like, very, like when people used to be like, oh, yeah, like my mom's maiden.

I'm like, okay, why don't you grow your armpits out?

Like, it's so like crazy radical to me.

Now,

um,

yeah, it's gonna be a problem.

Like, and imagine how you feel as a mother, you go through a pregnancy and give birth, and you literally have just like tore yourself open giving birth, and the baby has the dad's last name.

Like, to make it make sense when, when you've watched your husband do nothing for 10 months, I don't foresee myself having that experience because, like, that kid is going to be ash right.

Like, it's just the more

less less far, the more far away I get from that thing.

At first, it was like, of course, I'll take my husband's name.

Then I got married.

I'm like, okay, you know what?

Like, when I have kids, I'll take my husband's name so that we all have the same last name.

Now I keep pushing back when I'm going to have kids.

And then the day finally comes and the kid pops out.

I'm going to be like, oh, you're Samuel Oshray.

Right.

But just think about Ben's experience.

Now we now, the book shifts to Ben's experience.

What is Ben's experience?

Where he's been so excited his whole life to have like little who cares?

BSC Jr.

Who literally who gives a fuck?

It's not so simple, Turdy.

You know, my mother's not all actually.

Not that I tried or even considered.

My

fight with Zach was like he really wanted me to change my name by the time, like legally change it by the time I gave birth.

And then like once he saw what pregnancy entailed, he kind of and giving birth to a break.

Yeah, try telling a pregnant woman what he kind of like backtracked on that.

The good news is if you don't change your name by the time you give birth for the two days in the hospital, you will have baby boy Ashra or baby girl Ashra because it's you're the patient.

No, but my mother, now that I'm like finally looking at it i think my mother-in-law she was always like same last name same and then like her kids grew up and i think she like kind of went back she was like you know what like i am me she kind of like controls it and that's a good move too she still goes by her married name but like she'll throw in that maiden name in there a lot i'm like you know what now i understand like her kids are grown they can make their own choices like Let's go back to our roots.

Yeah.

It's not a perfect system.

No.

I don't envy the people who had to make these decisions, but I think they made the wrong one.

I also think coming from a family of all women we feel extra like icky about just like giving it up right because the name you know i mean there are other objects out there in the world not even of close super close relation to us but the name ends with us in this family and that makes me sick so yeah i don't know if i'm just gonna be turning over and spreading my cheeks i don't know I look forward to seeing how you handle this and navigate these situations.

These muddy waters.

Yeah, I actually really do.

Maybe you could set an example for women because some of us didn't do it.

well i know that you and olivia thus far have taken your maiden names and made it the child's middle name which i think is a great starting point

it might not be enough it might not be enough like not me having all my kids named ashrai i actually think if i told ben like how i felt he would 1000 say okay really yeah I'm like, Terry, you have to do it for us, for the women's rights.

Fine, okay.

For women's rights.

But then does he become Ben Ashre?

Like,

I'm in the type of relationship where, like, when it comes to booking trips and stuff, like, I'm the one making the plans.

I'm booking the tickets.

It's all a sudden Mr.

Ashre.

so when we get to hotels they always call bed mr ashre and i love it

i love it i'm like it suits you and there isn't a mr ashre like in my life right now right so it's not like he's usurping someone yeah it's kind of like this seat waiting to be taken i absolutely need to know how he would feel about this it would either be like a hard no should just tell him if you're not busy come into the yeah the podcast i think this is a really interesting dialogue and as claudia aren't on a call can you come into the studio comma we need to have a conversation with you for the podcast period you are not in trouble you oh my head caveat you are not in trouble i sounded like the way i was like a principal yeah yeah come to the studio

we need to have a conversation yeah i i do think he might be okay with it like for all I think but also I don't know if I'm okay with it like yes I talk a big deal

but I am very traditional modern when it comes to like marriage and family I'm very very like modern I mean very like traditional and conservative there are other parts of my life where I'm a little bit more modern but when it comes to home and hearth no

No, I'm very traditional when it comes to generals and such, but my issue with this is that it doesn't make sense.

Like, I like traditional generals because, like, they make sense.

A lot of them, like, file, follow biological trends.

Love that.

Love.

This makes sense to me.

It's true.

It's anti-biology.

Like, I'm a rule follower, but when the rules don't make sense, I think I hear bad things.

That's where my wires are.

Come, we're having a conversation.

We want your take on it.

Okay, we leave five minutes.

We're having a very...

Wait, stop talking because you're not on the microphone.

So save all your commentary and don't bump into the lights, please.

It's fine.

We don't have time for you to like dilly dally.

Just sit right here.

We are having.

And you're walking in front of the camera.

It's okay.

It's okay.

I've grown.

It's okay.

The stories aren't great.

Yeah, it's true.

We need this sort of shit.

Take your time.

Okay.

Come sit.

We're having an important conversation, and Claudia is speaking for the both of you, and we wanted to get your opinion.

Okay, so I'll do you want me to explain it.

No, I'll do it.

I'll do it.

Just take your time.

Just, Just yeah.

Sit right here and you can share my microphone.

Okay.

Hi, Romeo.

Oh, and maybe turn your phone off.

Yeah, like an intra-hour.

Okay.

Literally, I was unscheduled for this.

I'm sorry.

Okay.

It's okay.

So Jackie and I were talking about like the, this, you know, thing when you get married, changing of last names, having kids, and Jackie and I were talking about how like she really, you know,

had the boys go buy winery, but that was like hard for her.

She was pregnant for like all this time.

One of the pregnancies was extremely traumatic.

She went through the trauma of childbirth.

And then it's like, you just work over this kid to this other name.

Which is something that I just like accepted, never push back against.

That's the norm, but I just think it doesn't make a ton of sense.

Like when the mother has the baby, also proving paternity throughout history would have been easier if they carried the mother's last name, whatever.

Just like it kind of makes more sense logistically,

but it doesn't.

It's not.

So then I was saying, like, when I was younger, like, you can never catch me like not taking my husband's last name, not giving my kids my husband's last name.

And the older I get, the closer to this event I eventually get.

I'm like, I don't know about that, especially like being like a family of women, like not a lot of, you know, male ashrays to take on the name.

And I, Jackie was like, What would Ben say if you were like, I want our kids to have last name Ashre?

And I said, I feel like you wouldn't like be totally against it.

Now, feel free to take my microphone and tell me your thoughts, and you could be totally against it.

I think she would be surprised by how against it you would be

incredibly against.

That said, just because we're not lesbians, that's that said,

I,

what we've always spoken about was:

one, I love Ashre middle name.

Well, that's what, yeah.

Two,

I

love you keeping your maiden name for

always, if that's what you want.

Okay.

What we had spoken about was the second that we have kids and the second that kids have school, that then they would be like, well, you're

caught.

Okay, well, in this code, in this scenario, just know

you would also

be taking ashre.

yeah so it's funny that we're like you would never want this um

i really am torn i'm torn yeah um you would never want this uh

it's you would never want no no it's just it's just weird no i am i am with you

so then scooch over just talking no i can't do this i'm gonna break my back you're okay you're okay i think

i

understand you and I figured that's what you would say.

She seemed to think

it's not even true.

she knows.

Maybe she's doing this for a little bit.

No, I want to say, if I sat Ben down, like, and let's say, like, I'm, you know, one day, God willing, pregnant.

And I sit Ben down, I'm like, I've been thinking a lot.

Like, we have a really serious conversation about it.

And I tell you, like, my feelings that, like, you know, I don't think this is what I want.

And if I had like really strong opinions on it and I convey them to you in like a nice communicative way, not live on a podcast.

Not an ambush.

I do think

you would.

I wouldn't.

Okay.

I wouldn't.

And, and that's not to say that you couldn't convince me to do anything because you could.

But the same way that you feel

like a sense of family, a sense of pride, the reason your last name is Ashre is because your dad's name was Ashre.

No, it's true.

You wouldn't have that.

Oh, yeah, that's like a thin argument, but okay.

No, it's true.

It's a family name.

There are so many advantages of being a woman.

One disadvantage.

What are they?

Everything.

Convincing me to do anything that you want me to do.

That's not me being a woman.

That's just me being smarter than you.

No, that's you being a woman.

No, no.

It's a woman's world.

It is.

And you're lucky to be living in it.

Yes, everything except for the last name of a family.

I'm sorry.

Okay, no, no.

We're not Amish and strange.

But that's what we needed.

We needed to.

I think the Amish are actually very traditional and would never go for something like this.

But I'm glad to have your hand.

And I figured that would be such.

To think, like, for 32 years, your children would be your last name, and then in one day, they might not.

I don't think the SPA is not going to be a good idea.

Maybe this is us just planting the seed.

No, by the way, it's just not happening.

Or you could try and tell my dad.

Like, oh, it's now there's an argument.

Like, you can't do that to him.

To Bruce.

You get to have the relationship with our children of having carried them.

Of being the mother.

And being the mom.

I guess that's a good thing.

You get the privilege of being the mother.

And, like, what do you have?

Nothing.

Your name.

Yeah.

Nothing.

My name.

Nope.

That's true.

And maybe I'll send this episode to Bruce and see what he thinks.

Yes.

Okay, thanks.

He'll cry.

I think this was a very good mock trial.

I agree.

And

on your gooch

if you're watching on youtube you might have seen one of ben's testicles i hope you enjoyed it yeah have you shown romeo's testicles i have not shown them romeo's testicles you know a fun fact about us extending swirly summer is that we've actually missed uh romeo's appointment i felt for neutering so if you rub his belly i we never had this with theo his nuts never came in uh Romeo has balls like two big balls keep Romeo out of the vet you think I am really like big pet is real.

I don't know why they wouldn't poison them so that they would have to be on medication and need to go back to the doctor forever.

No, it's true.

And Romeo out here, like, has missed all of his vet vet appointments.

He's doing so great.

I want this inner conversation.

Okay, just go.

Okay, now Ben wants to know if Romeo needs to get neutered.

I think it would depend on the kind of lifestyle Romeo plans to lead.

Like, if he leads a very public lifestyle and a very social, a very, you know, with the women lifestyle, no, you can't have him like knocking up women.

If he goes to dog parks, no, he has to be neutered.

But like, if he lives like a kind of a life of solitude the way he's living right now.

If he lived the way he lives right now, the only other dog he sees is Bruno, who's a man.

And Magnolia, who's neutered.

I would be okay with it.

But no, when we get back in the city, he goes on his walks.

He goes to the park.

He's super solid.

He has to be neutered for that.

But if he lived like the life that Bruno lives, where he's

and whenever he's out, he's on a leash and he really can't be getting people pregnant.

I would say don't do it.

Yeah.

Also at this age, usually you get them neutered fast because like it's really affecting their behavior.

Romeo's kind of my perfect king.

So like thus far, I haven't seen a compelling argument as to why he needs to get neutered.

but when we get back to say that

yes not like so granola like i'm not hunting my dog no like bruno didn't start getting sick until i took him to the vet in december i just want to say like back to ben yeah now we need to i feel like he like said that like like you know big dick big dick on the podcast although like the thing about bruce is so valid and also like he made some good points but i do think like let's say and i haven't even decided that this is what i want but if it was and i sat him down like

I could convince him for sure.

But I think like what we just did here, like set your cause back because I don't think he liked being ambushed.

Like, and it didn't come out in earnest.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Okay.

We have some work to do if that's the road we choose to take.

Yeah.

That's good.

But some things you just gotta accept.

I don't know why, but like you can't fight every societal thing.

No, of course.

I think this is like a big one.

You can't fight City Hall, literally.

But you do have to do it for the women, like as of a woman with a platform.

And influential women, I think if I did it, you would inspire a lot of women.

Oh my God, I'm a little bit more.

You just did that thing you hate.

I'm one of those people who doesn't know the difference between the word woman and

so much.

I did it because I stumble over my words as I do.

But when people do it in writing, there's no excuse.

You know who's always doing that?

Lauren Elizabeth.

Is she?

Oh, my God.

Now you call it your ass.

I thought you.

No, no, no.

The real housewives, all of them.

They all are always doing it.

Like, and this group of women, I hate.

Totally, totally.

Oh, my God.

Speaking of.

Lauren Elizabeth, no shade.

I love you so much.

I know you're not following me.

And I haven't seen you do it in a while.

I know you're not following the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

No, I'm trying not to because I'm doing the thing where I want to watch it and I don't want it to be spoiled.

Jackie, but then I never watch it.

The Real Housewives of Utah.

I still don't know what she said.

Okay.

And it's so crazy that there's all this rhetoric about like this season's a flop and they're going to reboot the craziest finale.

Feels so good to be me right now and you.

The Marge Stan.

We have been staunch in our Marge Stanid.

And that doesn't mean we can't acknowledge it.

Like she's a shit starter for sure.

But, like, the reputation she's gotten for being the sort of like bone carrier who goes out and, you know, reaches out to ex-girlfriends and

collects this information.

The crazy, I won't spoil it for you, but I just want to say, like, if you're watching Real Houses in New Jersey, like, I see you.

If you have been loyal to Marge this entire time, like, what a great day to be us.

And someone like me, I've always held out a lot of hope for Dolores.

And she came through.

No.

Oh, she kind of let me down.

I want to watch.

Let's watch this week.

A thousand percent.

Okay, great.

It's,

and I, and remember when I started this season and I like three episodes, three episodes of The Toast in a Row, I just like could not stop going off about Jackie Goldschneider.

It's like, I'm kind of a, a, a truth teller in the sense that everything I said was right.

Like probably one of like the biggest L's anybody's ever taken on the housewives ever.

And you're not even a full-time cast member and you're dying to be.

You feel so good to be me.

Okay, I'm definitely going to watch.

Let's add that to the content plate.

Yeah, because my content plate is about to get lighter.

We did finally record Redheads yesterday.

Like, couldn't get this episode off the ground, but we finally recorded it.

It was so fun.

It was the perfect summer episode for our summer book, and it should be up today.

I'm gonna just edit it.

It doesn't require much.

You know, the girls were kind of one-take-wonders.

Things of that nature.

And I'm really excited about that.

It's been like a really long process.

And my content and my plate should be lighter after that.

And you filmed the Redheads in this here studio.

How was that experience?

It was a positive experience.

I feel like we railed so much on our old studio.

Like, we need to give just as many compliments to this studio.

Cause yesterday I felt so good, like, using my hands.

And then I watched our episode.

It looked kind of gorgeous.

Yeah.

Even though this aesthetic is super masculine and me in this like bubble pink outfit today, could I look more out of place in the studio?

No, but we're still being ourselves.

Like we're always going to be true to us.

I just feel, I feel like this studio is kind of everything to us.

I like it.

I like the cozy thing.

The only thing that really like bothers me is that picture behind you.

Yeah, a lot of people have been remarking on the unique choice of artwork behind me.

Jackie.

The picture behind me is gorgeous and a a part of me wants us to sit in front of this picture but then we don't get a corner and we love a corner no and when you film like directly not to bore people like on a flat couch how we did the last studio it has no dimension no depth right this is better but look at bruno he's so happy the artwork behind me is extremely bizarre i did see a lot of comments of people thinking it was an intentional ode to turdie's biggest regret the time i didn't get in the cop car which i like adding a little bit of lore and jackie was like this house by the way whoever owns this house has amazing taste in art it's really like some of the sickest art jackie was like let's just go pick up another i want up a piece i don't want to be moving this guy's stuff around like i already like brought in my lights like it's a lot yeah let's see how it's hung yeah no i like it because there's so many swirly pictures there's queen elizabeth blowing a bubble i know but jackie like this turnt piece of artwork equals engagement it's true and now it's kind of a cornerstone of the toast brand even though like I guess it's the Mona Lisa riding in the back seat of a police car that's also sort of fading away.

Oh my God, I didn't see that the Mona Lisa was in the background.

Yeah.

It's an interesting piece of art.

I think it's an homage to the Paris Olympics, like the Mona Lisa.

I love that.

You know, take her away, boys.

And then behind you, we have Brigitte Bardeau on a sailboat smoking a cigarette, which is just kind of the essence of Swirly Summer.

No, it really is.

It's such a shame that you can't see the whole thing.

It's really garagey paragey.

Maybe we'll do a studio tour.

Maybe we should.

So I think without further ado, we've got some crap stories today, which kind of means nothing for the future of the show.

It's not even like bad.

It's just like there were so many like half stories out there.

I had to choose five.

Like I could have chosen 10 or I could have chosen zero sort of thing.

But it's days like today that always churn out some of the better episodes.

So what would the story lack, what the stories lack in energy, like we always make up for it in like Delulu.

Yeah, that's always true.

No, there, there's things in which to discuss.

So without further ado, to do,

here are the fast five stories that you need to know.

And today's episode is brought to you by Teeny Lux.

You all know Teeny Lux by now.

They are one of our favorite new sponsors.

If you listen, you know we first found them a couple months ago because I have been complaining on the pod about how I find wearing earrings to be so annoying because I'm always so aware that they're there.

Like literally, I love doing remote episodes because we wear headphones and I don't have to wear earrings.

But the founder of Teenilux is a toaster.

So she reached out saying, can I send you some earrings?

I promise these will be the most comfortable earrings you've ever tried.

You won't even notice them.

For the first time ever, I honestly forgot I was wearing earrings.

I don't even feel them.

Their founder started this brand because she also had super sensitive ears and nothing was working for her.

They make all of their earrings with pure titanium because it's the safest metal for sensitive ears.

If you've ever had problems wearing earrings, you need to try these.

So sensitive ears, it's a real problem.

It's a real issue and it affects many of us.

But even if you don't have sensitive ears, like turd, who can literally just put like a

decent judy in between my earlobes and I would be none the wiser.

Like it's kind of a blessing not to brag.

Even if you're a turdy, it's still such a great earring destination for everyday studs and hoops and just like little things.

If you like to switch up your earrings, they have all these different assortment of earrings.

But also if you like a classic look, they have a classic look.

I'm a classic look sort of girl.

No, it's just annoying because, like, earrings really dress up a whole outfit.

And if you're really limited in like what you can buy for earrings, you can't be like fun and fresh every year.

I mean, like, sitting out in like a whole pocket of girlhood.

Totally.

So, they also have statement earrings that are perfect for brides, bridesmaids, or wedding guests.

Thank you so much, Jacqueline Folet.

You're welcome, Turtleoo Folet.

Today's episode is also brought to you by Thrive Cosmetics.

Thrive Cosmetics is kind of one of my favorite brands, especially like you've heard me.

If you watch my Get Ready With Me, it's that like Bluetooth of mascara I'm always using is from Thrive Cosmetics.

So Thrive Cosmetics products are all certified 100% vegan, cruelty-free.

They have zero power bins, sulfates, and flaplates.

Thrive Cosmetics also donates to eight major causes, including those impacted by cancer, domestic abuse, and veteran and education organizations.

And while all of that is fabulous, I can't lie.

That is not why I first found the brand.

It's like I came for the products, but I stayed for the cause.

They have so, oh, I'm wearing the lip today too.

Oh, I have it right here.

How crazy is that?

Which one is this?

It's the precision lipstick crayon.

Okay, I feel like this people are gonna be like, she's acting.

No, I literally brought this down.

That's what I'm wearing on my lip.

I just got these crayons in PR.

They're fabulous.

Okay, so

they're

kind of core products that are having a moment right now.

The Empower Matte Precision Lipstick Crayon.

That's what I'm using right now.

It's a two-in-one lipstick and liner that allows you to define, but also fill in.

And it has a built-in sharpener.

The Brilliant Eye Brightener, which is a highlighter eyeshadow combo that makes your eyes look really bright, really big, and really effortless.

They come in 16 buildable shades.

You're You're welcome.

Our first two stories are a bit of updates from things we talked about yesterday.

Okay.

One,

after all was said about Charlie SCX's birthday party, Glenn Powell is in Final Talks to join JJ Abrams' new secret movie, as is Jenna Ortega.

So Jenna Ortega is in Final Talks we hear to join J.J.

Abrams' secret untitled movie at Warner Brothers.

The star will star opposite Glenn Powell, who is also finalizing his deal.

Few details are known about the movie, other than it's not a time travel movie.

Abrams wrote the script and his bad robot is producing it.

So like Jenna Ortega casting news is like could never be something I would like give even a shred of a shit about.

The Glenn Powell addition to this story changes things.

It also puts into perspective the conversation we had yesterday about him and Gracie Abrams quote unquote flirting.

Maybe they just know each other.

From JJ's movie.

I feel like when you get cast in a JJ movie, it's like a kind of a process.

You're at JJ's house.

Yep, you meet JJ family, you meet JJ dog, you swim in JJ JJ pool.

Like you have to do all of these things.

So I feel like it was kind of a reunion.

And I just want to say, I still ship.

I don't think Glenn Powell is stupid.

Like, I don't think he would start dating JJ Abrams' daughter before.

No.

It's like, you can't, nobody just gets cast in a J.J.

Abrams movie.

It's like such an honor.

You don't fuck it up.

Even if he fell in love with her upon meeting her, I think he'll wait till the movie wraps.

I completely

put his date on the premiere.

Yeah.

But no, I don't think that these two are an end.

And that's sad because I had like been excited about this.

But no, like glenn powell is a lot of things he's not stupid but he's also like a really hard worker i think he sees himself on some sort of track to being really a huge movie star yeah and he's not gonna it up yeah i agree glad to have some answers about that conversation from yesterday before we all like took off with shipping glenn and gracie yeah even though it's a cute couple name yeah glacy glacy or

gren i like gren

glacey yeah are you ready for our next story another update from a mystery from yesterday.

A mystery.

Spooky.

Which is what happened to Zach Efron in the pool.

Oh, yeah.

It's years in a documentary before we finally know what happened.

True.

And I'm so happy to be able to tell you guys today was that he was hospitalized after hitting the bottom of the pool in a diving accident.

So the cause of Zach Efron's recent hospitalization following a swimming incident has been revealed.

He was vacationing at a villa in Ibiza over the weekend when he went for a swim with friends at the property's pool.

While he was there, he had a minor swimming incident.

A source confirmed to people that he ingested water into his lungs when his chest hit the bottom of the pool after his dive.

TMZ first reported the news.

Bill of Security helped pull him out of the water after he showed signs of

distress.

The source adds that he was dazed momentarily and therefore taken to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.

There, he had x-rays done on his chest to ensure no water remained in his lungs.

Though he was medically cleared within hours, he decided to wait at the hospital until Paparazzi, who had followed him to the hospital, left.

The source said he is fine.

Um, okay,

I

that

could have been so bad.

Okay, like diving like gives me the willies.

Like, I diving into a pool that's too shallow.

If his, if his chest hit the bottom, then it wasn't as deep as he thought it was, but deep enough that like he didn't really get hurt.

I think there are a lot of people out there who like aren't in wheelchairs or are paralyzed in certain ways.

And, and so it's very common that the incident that got them there is like pool diving shallowness related.

And when I think about it, like, it gives me like a chill down my spine.

Like, the willies, this could have have been so bad.

Yeah.

Ooh, thank God.

Like seriously.

Yeah.

And I do think it's

speaks to what we said about Zach yesterday, which is like he likes to have fun and he likes to have adventure.

And sometimes the two don't mix.

And I think that's exactly what this was.

Like maybe if he, I don't know what his state of mind was, but diving is a fun thing and swimming is fun.

But if you're a little impaired, it can get a little dicey.

It can get a little dicey.

Practice safe swim.

No, and also like, let's just take a moment and thank God, like Zach Efron's okay, could have been really bad.

Yeah.

Yeah.

But I don't know if, like, like, I know he showed off a picture yesterday of him in the gym.

Yeah.

I feel like maybe like, just take a beat, you know?

Like, it's okay not to work out.

No, totally.

And like your lungs, it's like you're breathing heavy when you work out.

Like, just chill.

Yeah.

Zach Efron like seriously needs a nap.

Yeah.

However, like this story doesn't like point to something potentially like worse for me.

Like I actually feel like it's congruous like with what we think about him.

You know what I'm just thinking about?

I can't really recall a long-term relationship that Zach Efron was in after Vanessa Ann Hudgens.

Because I was going to say, you live recklessly like this when you're single.

It's like, okay, maybe he'll settle down, but it's like he's low-key, like 40.

I feel like he dated that girl who's a designer for a long time.

Who?

Let me just make sure.

I feel like he dated that blonde girl.

Hold on.

Whose name I don't know?

Sammy Miro.

Who's that?

She's a fashion designer.

Okay, cute.

Okay, timeline.

Thank you.

Us weekly.

His famous exes.

Oh my God.

They were together for two years.

He dated Alexandra Dodario?

Okay, well, he always is rumored to be dating his co-stars, even like he had a crush on Zendaya.

That's kind of his thing when he promotes movies.

So, Vanessa and Lily Collins, he dated Collins in 2012 long before the two made their

two made their Netflix flick.

Oh, they had a movie.

Oh, you're right, co-star.

Oh, yes, Michelle Rodriguez.

But I feel like all of these are flings.

Also, Kelly.

Sammy Miro, yeah.

He settled down once more in 2014 with businesswoman Miro.

And then Alexandra Dodario, Rumors began swirling about the pair after they co-starred in 2017's Baywatch.

Dodario shot them down that May.

We worked together closely.

He's my love interest in the film.

I understand why people would go crazy over something like that.

But Zach and I are very good friends.

Yeah, there's a lot of that with him.

And I think he fell in love with.

Oh my God, wait, do you know that there were rumors that he dated Rebecca Ferguson from The Greatest Showman?

No, I didn't know that.

What's her name, Jenny, in the movie?

Jenny Lind.

So The Greatest Showman stars neither confirmed nor denied dating speculation after Efron shared a shot of her looking at him lovingly with his arm wrapped around her in December 2017.

A picture's worth a thousand words, he wrote at the time.

Only word I can think of now are what the fuck are you thinking, dude?

Look at her.

Hashtag greatest showman, hashtag Rebecca Ferguson.

Oh, those are comments.

Like, okay, thanks.

And then Sarah Brow, the couple first sparked dating rumors in 2019.

They were spotted attending a fitness class together.

This, I remember Halston Sage when they went to, I just remember them seated.

I remember this photo of them seated at courtside at a game together.

Neighbors cast me.

Yeah, he's like, you're right.

He always falls in love with his.

Not even.

I think he like really plays into it for like movie PR.

And I think he knows it's like a great way to get people interested.

Like, who's Zach Ephron dating?

So might as well make it a promo for his movie.

But we're on to you.

Okay, like none of these are confirmed.

That's the thing.

Except I think Austin Sage.

Because there was like that picture of them.

They don't look like a couple in that picture.

So funny.

Like Zach Efron has really went through so many different like eras in terms of his physical appearance.

Like who remembers Bleach Ephron?

Yeah.

Blefron.

That was a dark time.

No.

It was like a, it was a long period of that, too.

And then he went through like very

well-coiffed, like, suave, clean-shaven.

And then he had like a sort of like rugged boy era.

He's kind of crazy.

They could never make me hate him.

No, I don't know.

By the way, nobody's trying, thank God.

No, I feel like they are.

And they're like, what's with this face?

I don't care.

Oh, the face.

About his face.

Yeah.

I don't care.

What I, I know what's in his heart.

my thoughts on his face are not like socially acceptable to say you say them all the time do i feel like

i know i said it at gizno

i know i said it at gizno okay well gizno is different which is like a safe space and i told everybody to put their phones down so i could like say what i really thought like and like what's going on um but i would never say that on this here show because you know this is a business yeah and i don't care yeah no me neither i don't care like my

love in my heart for the zach ever for zach efron are you ready for our next story what are the zach Efron fans you would know as like the leader of them?

What do they call themselves?

Like what's the Swifty equivalent?

I actually don't know.

I'm so curious like what his fan page is.

We could look it up.

Because you know he has that core Disney following.

They love to name themselves.

Fan.

What do the Miley fans call themselves?

Smilers.

Smilers.

Smilers.

Smilers.

The Selenators.

The Swifts.

I'm really not part of any fandom communities.

I kind of do my own thing.

You're a toaster.

I am a toaster.

But even, you know, the Sabriners, I don't know what they're called.

The carpenter.

I guess I'm a bootlegger.

You are a bootlegger.

That's Luke Holmes.

Yeah.

And

you're not a Swifty.

No, I'm not.

I'm a Taylor Swift.

I'm a Taylor Swift fan.

I'm a Taylor Swift fan, but I'm not a Swifty, and I think that's two are not the same.

Distinction.

I agree.

I don't know where his fan name is.

Maybe he doesn't have one.

Not everyone does.

Damn.

Like, I don't think Brad Pitt's fans have like a community.

Zach Efron have a fan club.

The Zach Efron fan club.

Okay.

I mean,

the only place I don't want to be here.

ZFC.

I don't want to be here.

Yeah, no, that's a dark, that's a dark corner of the internet.

Are you ready for the internet?

And by the way, if you don't know the name, if you don't know the name of a community,

it's not popular.

It's not popular and you're certainly not a part of it.

Oh, for sure.

Because I think other people have communities.

I don't know them.

Yeah.

Now, are you ready for our next tour?

What number?

Three.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Blake Lively is on her press tour for It Ends With Us wearing more flower outfits than we can count and probably 1 million flowers in total in every single look that she's worn to promote her movie so far.

She's been making a lot of news, which I love.

The most recently is like, yes, this flower outfit, but she also outfit is a flower outfit, flower power.

She posted one of these flower outfits like in her New York City apartment.

And for some reason, whenever she takes a picture inside her New York City apartment and we see like, you know, a little bit of the decor, the internet goes berserk.

I think there's like this huge mystery around.

I think her and Ryan Reynolds have this insane apartment that nobody's ever seen the inside of.

And every now and then, I'll take a headline where it's like Blake Lively shows a bit of, you know, private apartment.

And I was like, oh, sweet.

I want to see her apartment.

It was just her in another.

Yeah, taking like going out pictures.

And it looked like a little nutty, the decor.

But like a couple of, I think maybe like a year ago now, she took a picture in this like sick jumpsuit in her bedroom.

And you saw like her, clearly like her master bathroom and like how it connects to, and it's like this old wooden barn door.

I think it's probably like this insane apartment.

And we get like very little pieces of it and everybody like creams their pants over it.

But something I want to talk about and why I asked you to just choose a random Blake Lively story.

Even though I do want to talk about her press tour and her looks.

Same, but I want to talk about the press tour because somebody posted in our Facebook group something that really

shook the foundation in which I walk.

And I hadn't noticed it at the time, but somebody was like, has anybody else noticed one that like Justin Baldoni has been like kind of MIA from the It Ends With Us press tour thus far?

And Colleen and Blake Lively no longer follow Justin Baldoni on Instagram, but Justin Baldoni follows them.

Now I went to Instagram because people love to say like, right, right, right.

It's real.

And he is now posting, like, as of yesterday, like, headed to New York, so excited to start It Ends With Us press tour, like letting everyone know his press is coming.

But like, up until this point, there has been so much.

He plays which one?

He plays Ryle, and he's the director.

Oh, he was the one who like found the script with Colleen.

It was like him and Colleen taking pictures before anyone got cast.

It was the Justin and Colleen show.

And now it's the Blake and Colleen show.

I mean, that doesn't surprise me.

I think the idea of getting a book turned into a movie and no one's feelings getting hurt along the way.

Like there's going to be artistic division and for it to be the author and the lead actor.

But Blake too.

Blake.

Well, I think because Blake is a swirly and she's Team Colleen and she recognizes Colleen's work.

And I didn't even realize it till this person pointed it out, but there has been so much press.

And it's been Colleen and Blake.

They went to like Booktopia.

They did a screening for the special screening for fans.

And it's every time Blake has been like with the co-stars, it's with the two young, the young Ryle and the young Lily, and they're all really, really close.

And it's like, I didn't even realize until this person pointed out, where in the world is Justin Baldone?

That's so interesting.

I didn't notice for one second, because like, I don't really care what women are doing when it comes to things like this.

When it comes to press.

Two, I think like this perceived drama is good for the movie.

Okay, for sure.

But can we?

And also, because like one, another frustrating part about Blake's casting, even though I'm mostly over it, especially because Margo said the movie's amazing.

She said the movie is perfection.

It's amazing.

Her sister Margo, like Loki got to say the movie.

She saw a screaming of it.

She's, and she's the biggest fan of the book.

She made all of us read it.

She said the movie is incredible.

She was in, at least she talks about it on the Redhead.

She gave a little bit of a recap.

So I think what the movie though doesn't have because Blake was cast is like, she's a married woman with four children.

There's no of this Zach Efron, will they, won't they, you know, romantic lead drama.

And I think that's what the press of this movie would need.

We see how it benefits all those other movies.

And so maybe.

Not that I'm so jaded, but like maybe a little bit of this is like drumming up some interest and drama in the movie because they don't have that.

Well, a lot of people had thought, because I saw the toasters were freaking out, like everybody was leaving comments and someone was like, well, you know, Ryle is very much the villain of this movie.

So it could be intentional that they don't want him to be like at the center of the press.

That makes no sense.

One, he's the director.

And two, they're villains in every movie.

Like they still have to do press.

Right.

And also Margo was saying in her recap, like you forget how in the book, you're kind of rooting for Ryle.

Like you want him to

be the one for her and like get his shit together.

And like she said, like you really feel that in the movie.

So I don't even think he's like the outright villain.

Right.

So

I feel like there's drama.

Like I actually do.

I don't think we'll ever get down to the bottom of it.

Blake Glavi's like not like that at all.

But you don't go from being the person who discovered the script and like really made Colleen Hoover as a person.

Obviously, she's always been a famous writer, but like her face made her like this star.

I think there's something totally going on.

And I just want to say I feel like Justin Baldoni like is like a nightmare.

And there were like rumors that he's like a tough director or whatever.

But he's this person.

I think it's more than creative differences.

And I think when it was announced that it ends with us as being made into a movie, and the first piece of news we got was like, Justin Baldoni is at the helm of it.

I want to go find that episode.

I said, I don't like this.

I'm not a Justin Baldoni fan.

There's something, you know, abyssal, not right.

Who is this person?

Why does everyone like have an opinion on him?

That's what I said, too.

And we, we never watched the Jane the Virgin.

And that's where he got his start and like why people are obsessed with him because he was like the heartthrob in that.

So we missed the his rise.

You know, he just sort of arrived to us one day.

Got it.

Okay.

Yeah.

I'm not a part of this.

I don't have an opinion on this man, and I'll wait to see the movie.

Yeah, me too.

But I do think there's something going on.

Like, once,

why would he follow them and that they not follow him?

And it's not like Labby follows like three people.

Colleen Hoover.

Actually, let me go see.

Colleen Hoover follows me.

Okay.

Well, you're an influencer in the litter.

I say she follows 500 people.

So it's not like an absurd amount.

Is he like a, does he run his own Instagram?

You know, why does she need to follow the Justin?

Oh, 3.2 million followers.

I just want to say there was a time where Colleen Hoover followed him.

Colleen Hoover follows follows 3,000 people.

He has so many followers from Jane the Virgin.

Yeah.

Now people are saying, you know, oh, he had surgery.

Maybe that's why.

Sure, you can, you could come up with a reason why he hasn't been in the press tour up until this point.

Them not following him, something's up.

Something's up, especially Colleen.

How many people does Colleen?

3,000.

And he follows them.

Yeah, I feel like maybe Blake never followed him to begin with.

Maybe, but I don't know.

They were like all in this together.

It was like this big thing for everyone.

I don't know.

Well, I just want to say, as far as the looks, everyone is different.

And there's some really high highs, like in the floral motif.

Yeah.

And she looks beautiful.

And then there are some that are like my less of my favorites.

But overall, I like what she's doing because it's so congruous with the character Lily Bloom who works at a flower shop and her name is Lily Bloom.

Agreed.

And it's very much like, yeah, we can't do like a method romance.

Yep.

But we can get creative.

We have to get dressing.

Yeah, yeah.

No, but there are ways to like promote a movie without the two main characters being.

and I think that it ends with us as not having an issue and when it comes to like a shortage of press, yeah.

But it would have been cool if it was like two single

or not even married, like even you know, people without children.

Like, you could just pretend for one second, like maybe the chemistry on screen translated off screen because that's how you make a successful romance movie.

Yeah, romance, romance.

I like when you put the emphasis on the wrong syllable, me too.

I, whoever came up with that, that little jingle about the wrong emphasis,

no, the emphasis on the wrong syllable, like they fucking ate with that shit.

They did.

Like, you're teaching me a lesson with your limerick.

Like, I loved it.

Yeah.

Yeah.

More of that.

That's more of that energy in 2024.

Like, nothing geared literally being over.

I was thinking that the other day because

majorly halfway over.

I know.

I was thinking that, oh, because

we posted that clip.

I posted that clip on my TikTok about somebody vaping at one of our Gizno shows.

Speaking Speaking of Gizno, we're headed to Atlantic City August 17th.

Can't wait to see you guys there.

Tickets available at thetrospodcast.com/slash tour.

The Borgata, make it a weekend, great hotel, great spa, great casino, great restaurant.

So somebody reminded me

that it's been now like eight months since I stopped vaping because it was my New Year's resolution.

Like January 1 was the last time.

And I was like, damn, the year is literally over.

I just stopped vaping.

Yeah.

But not really.

I'm eight months clean.

That's so great.

10 months.

So, like, when it's October.

No, wait, what's a 10 month?

October?

October.

October 1st, 2024.

I will be on Instagram.

Except we all saw you vape on stage at Jitsu, but that doesn't count.

I did not vape on stage.

Oh, you didn't?

I take a puff of that man's vape.

What do you think?

I'm disgusting like that.

I'm sure he was clean, but who's a strange man?

If it had been a girly, like, I probably would have done it.

Okay.

But no.

Oh my God.

I totally thought you did.

Ew, no.

Oh, my God.

No, I would never.

But, and by the way, that's not to say that I have not taken a puff of a vape.

I've probably taken six puffs in the last eight months when I'm drunk one at a time, and I'm able to

leave it at that.

Yeah.

But yes, on October 1st, 2024, I will be taking a picture with a vape and posting it on my Instagram with a caption, 10 months sober, I must admit, just because you're clean don't mean you don't miss it.

Beautiful.

I need to actually set an alarm.

Oh, that's a good idea.

Hey, Siri,

remind me on October 1st, 2024 at 10 a.m.

to post an Instagram.

Do you think she can handle that sort of thing I don't use Siri for that?

Like, that's a lot.

Okay, I added it.

Sure, you did.

I don't use use the reminders app.

It's because the toasters will remind you.

Please, thank you.

I need to find like a cool photo of me, like, back in the day when I used to be.

Like, I used to take a million pictures for my close friend story.

Like, you know, totally.

Yeah.

I got to find one of those.

Are you ready for our fourth story?

No.

Okay.

Let's get ready to rumble.

Is it our fourth story that's brought to you by Skims?

Loungewear is a very delicate balance.

I need to be comfy.

I need to be cozy.

I need to be able to sleep in it.

But I also need to on a whim be able to grab the keys and go to the grocery store and not look crazy.

Like it needs to walk the line of being outdoor and indoor clothing.

And I think Skims does that perfectly.

I'm looking normal.

I'm looking put together when I walk outside, but I'm also not changing when I get home and I'm laying on the couch for the rest of the day.

Like, I think that balance is really hard to find.

And I think Skims has done that perfectly.

Now, Skims is a brand that we know, that we love, that we trust when it comes to undies, bras, shapewear.

And when it comes to loungewear, they're kind of becoming the leader in the space.

I love, I've been wearing it all summer, the soft lounge scoop onesie.

That's thefarmersdog.com slash toast thank you slash tart you're welcome slash burt our next story is actually little kim kardashian news and in choosing this story i realized we have not had a kim story in months i think that's good for her like i think she

took the temperature of the culture because she was like trying to make fetch happen it wasn't happening and i think it was actually having like a negative effect on her like fandom i think they've all like kind of taken a step back especially summer celebrities just like live yeah i think they're just like enjoying their lives enjoying the fruits of their labor she works so hard like we see on the show we see through all of her businesses and like what's all that for if you can't enjoy it and i feel like right now she's enjoying it i didn't even realize because i hadn't heard from her but she's clearly enjoying life right now because she is in greece with lauren sanchez and jeff bezos oh my god obsessed you know that they have like that famous yacht yeah and they also have uh a second boat that it's like the service boat to the big boat where like the helicopter lands and they keep all like the pool floats and the life that's crazy and everything they have a second yacht for storage yeah but they like they can fly people in and out of their boats.

So I think they just like post up all summer.

That's sick.

And it's like a revolving door of cool people.

Cool people.

And right now, Kim is in Greece.

She posted a series of photos from her June vacation.

This was from June.

Oh, but she's just now letting us know.

Yeah, she just posted these photos with Lauren Sanchez and also

Olivia Pearson.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Like I'm cracking up.

That Jeff Bezos is with a wag.

Like, I can't.

Also, this is so unlike Kim.

Like, Kim has always been steadfast in her like living life authentically like no and she'll posting in real time or like that night yeah once the pictures come back and she can edit them but

okay so anyways in june she was with lauren sanchez and jeff bezos which like i'm still stuck on no me too but also i'm stuck on the fact that she's later gramming i feel like this is a huge shift like she's the instagram girl she makes the rules she sets the tone she creates the trends on social media and she's always been authentic in in her in her timing yeah and i think the fact that that she went on a vacation and two months later posted about it is actually extremely telling of how much things have changed for the Kardashians.

And exactly what we just said.

Like she's just been enjoying her life.

Which is good.

Yeah, which is good.

And she's also been on vacation recently with all four kids.

They look like they're on some, I think they're in Idaho, like some sort of

lake.

Yeah.

Lake trip, exactly.

Love that.

But I just like, it's so funny that she's so close with Warren Sanchez.

No, and that's like been a huge, I think,

help in Jeff Bezos' image.

And Lauren Sanchez does not get enough credit for that.

And Justin Sylvester said this on the podcast and it was so true.

Like being the partner of an extremely wealthy man is a full-time job.

And when he said it, I thought he was kidding, but he's not.

And you know, Justin, like he's a ladysitter.

He hangs out with these women all the time.

Being Lauren Sanchez is a full-time job.

And getting Jeff Bezos like on the right side of pop culture, having, you know, Chris and Kim and having them all float in, like traveling, coordinating that travel, like that's a huge job.

And I think about a lot when Justin Sylvester said that on the podcast, because I really thought it was a joke, but he's so right.

Like, look what she's done for him.

And not only in a physical sense, he looks so different.

No, and also like he has cool friends, but I feel like even the way we perceive him now is better and more positive than it used to be when, before they started dating.

She's his travel agent.

She's his publicist.

She's his hair and makeup artist.

She's his partner.

Social events coordinator.

She has done more for Jeff Bezos than Amazon ever could.

And it's, it's really been incredible to watch.

Yeah.

And I think, like, as a person, she's fun.

Like, I don't think Kim, Kim really can't be bought.

Like, Kim, like, yes, loves to rub elbows with the rich and the famous, but at the end of the day, like, Kim keeps people around her.

Yeah.

She is a very close circle.

And she's had the same people around her for years and years.

And I think it speaks to, you know, Lauren says, I almost always call her Nicole.

Can you help me?

Does she look like Nicole Scherzinger?

Is that like, why do I almost always, my inclination is to say her name is Nicole Sanchez?

I don't know, but she does look like a Nicole.

And Lauren and Nicole are similar names.

Yes, thank you.

But all is that to say I think it speaks to the type of girly swirly energy that Nicole

Lauren possesses yes, but also the fact that like Jeff Bezos could have anyone his heart desires She must be just a fabulous swirly no and the fact that she's age appropriate like I'm obsessed.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to their wedding Same.

They've been engaged for a while.

They have been.

I think they got engaged last summer.

It must be up like imminent.

Coming up in a year.

They love that boat too.

They'll take that boat where like no, but if you're gonna have that much money, like I'm like literally off screen.

Oh my God, you're also having a hard time today.

Like I just said, my butt is hurting more than ever.

So funny because what I was going to say about this studio, I hasn't, I don't want to jinx it.

I haven't had any butt issues.

No, today is just like on another level and I'm literally falling off the camera.

This job is hard.

Like people think like it's so easy.

Oh, I could do that.

No, you can't.

Like your butt hurts.

Yeah.

Anyways.

I feel like they are really enjoying his money.

You know, it's so nice to see you.

They're leading like happy lives.

Whereas we just read this book for Redheads.

We were talking about like, you know, the toxic side of wealth.

And I feel like for them, like, they really enjoy their wealth.

You know, and it's like Elon.

I know we love him, but like he's sick.

He does not enjoy his wealth for one second.

He's sleeping in a house.

Like he sleeps on people's couches.

It's so unrelatable.

Could never be me.

It's, but at least like his money doesn't make him like, you know, sick.

He's not sick about it.

Like he doesn't worry about his money when he makes money.

He invests it in the next company.

It's just like a means to an end for him.

It's not like something he wields over

other people like in this book that we read.

But also he's not enjoying life like Bezos.

And And they take that.

I feel like we're always hearing about them on this boat.

I think that boat goes from like St.

Bart's.

How do boats get around?

Is that a dumb question?

Do they just boat to the next?

Yeah, they cruise there.

But like, how do you get from Greece to St.

Bart's?

You take the boat.

What are they going to put the boat on a boat?

No, but like, aren't those like,

I guess, yeah, you have to go.

It's a long trip.

I think you would stop over and get gas.

Well, of course, you would need to refuel, but like, aren't there parts of the ocean?

They are on the boat.

No, no, no.

Someone is.

Yeah, the crew.

And aren't there like parts of the ocean that are like

not

safe?

Like, is that a bunch of people?

Safe in terms of piracy or in terms of like the ocean?

In terms of the ocean, like there are parts of the ocean that are largely untouched, right?

Yeah, but not

in Europe and America.

Not part of them would connect.

Oh, okay.

Like what parts?

Like Russia?

Like what parts?

Antarctica.

Oh, okay, okay, okay.

But they're touched by, you know, the scientists and researchers down there.

But no, I don't think he could take his boat to Antarctica yet.

Got it.

If anyone could do it, it's him.

It will be him one day.

But I also feel like being in this loving relationship is really making him take his foot off a gas a little bit in terms of like the space race.

Like he's always competing with Elon.

And I feel like he's realizing now, like, there's space for both of us.

Not only that, you can't dance at every wedding.

You can't be the best at space.

And what Amazon has done, he has a lot to be proud of.

They have destroyed millions of mom and pop shops.

Like they, things they did, that they've destroyed brick and mortar.

Like they have shifted the culture.

That's huge.

Like that's his thing.

Yeah.

Elon is the space guy.

Like, why do you have to be and he's also the space guy?

I think like you forget he's a nerd too.

Yeah.

And, like, he is successful and did Amazon and business because like he's a nerd and he had a love of space too.

Yeah.

It's not just to like mess with Elon.

That's what I got from reading Elon's book.

Like Jeff likes it too.

Right.

There's space, for lack of a better word, for all of them.

Yeah.

I like that.

Woman supporting woman energy.

Woman supporting woman.

Yeah.

Women supporting women.

And our fifth and final story is Olympics recap.

Once again, a few things happened when we watched women's gymnastics last night and it was a wild ride.

Devastating for that girl.

Peacock milked every last second of us, put every sport in between.

So we like

volleyball, track and field.

We went to 11 p.m.

to see Simone's, Floridine, Jordan's, Rebecca's.

And it was kind of a crazy night in the individuals.

Like everyone was

on edge.

Yeah.

The balance beam was slippery, clearly.

I

hate the balance beam.

Like, and I know I actually, we, fun fact, we did gymnastics scoring up, not up any sort of level, but I have my experience with the balance beam, you know?

Yeah.

And let me tell you, it doesn't go away, that feeling.

Yeah.

So that was nerve-wracking.

Um, but I'm glad that so many of the competitors got to medal.

Usually I'm not like a participation choicing medal for all, but like these girls have worked so hard.

It means so much for everyone to win for their country, to hear their anthem played, to like bring home a medal.

every country that you get paid when you meddle.

It's different amounts for different countries, countries but like they're going home to be the pride of their country and Simone and the girls they are the pride of America already like there's nothing more that they could do that we're not gonna love them anymore we couldn't possibly we love them so much and we're so proud of them and no matter what happened like we're always gonna feel that way so I'm glad that other people got to experience that even though that's typically like not my I agree but seeing those Italian gymnasts who worked so hard and like literally could not meddle for the life of them both

meddling in beam and then of course Rebecca who was so deserving of a golden deserving I agreed like they're they're all really of the same caliber caliber, besides Simone, like, who's on her own level, they're all really the best at what they do, and they all deserve gold medals.

So they've devoted their lives to this, and it will make like a huge difference in their life whether they medal or not.

Like, you know, when Italy hosts the Olympics, like now they'll be in the possession holding the torch, versus if they didn't meddle, like maybe not.

So I think it was so awesome.

It all kind of worked out because the USA gymnasts really had their moment.

And I want to say something about the USA gymnasts now that like they're done.

Okay.

And

Suni, Jordan, I was just watching them, and you feel such pride for these young girls.

And I think that we,

everyone has had such a good time watching them.

And I saw this video of Suni and Jordan Childs like freaking out because they met Marishka Hargate and it was like so relatable.

They were literally crying.

And I was like, these are just, you know, all the girls, Jade, what is five of them?

Such good role models for, for the country, but specifically for young women.

And I think they've held themselves.

This has been like an eight-year process.

For Simone, she's three, 12 years.

She's been in the spotlight.

And she's never been anything other than a fabulous fabulous role model for young girls, all of them, SUNY, and you see them making their TikToks and they're just so relatable and they're so well-behaved and they're so beautiful and they're really just the best of us when it comes to like, you know, women in America.

And I'm going to miss them being, you know, the name on everybody's lips.

And I think, you know, we, we...

We give them so much credit for being like amazing gymnasts, but I don't think they get enough credit for being just amazing role models for young women.

We don't have that, you know?

No, we don't.

And I just love them.

And I think they're so sweet.

And they just share every part of this journey with us on social media and like them meeting Marishka, like

it started this, it was a catalyst for this, this process.

And I'm like, you know what?

They are just fabulous young women and they are, they are the, you know, embodiment of hard work.

And like they, they are, are teaching not even just young women, but specifically young women, but everyone, the value of hard work, the value of commitment, the value of being a good teammate, the value of sportsmanship.

It's just been amazing to have them.

They'll always be famous, but they're never going to be as famous as they are right now.

And to have them be the thing everybody's talking about, I think benefits our nation greatly.

I think that's a fabulous point.

And I completely agree.

I think a lot of the role models for young women, you know, are, it's a little dicey out there.

Yeah.

Oh, and you know what?

I started this thought process because I saw this commercial for Suni.

She had the face of some eczema cream.

But then it reminded me, she's.

struggled with like two major kidney issues, like things that would put any athlete out, any human being out.

And she came back and won the won medals in the Olympics dealing with this.

And it's like,

she is just all of them.

Like, I feel this way about Jordan, about all of them.

Like, they're just fabulous girls.

Yeah.

And I love them.

Yeah.

And I'm proud of them.

And I am grateful for them.

Yeah.

And it makes me sad that like they'll never be as, you know, in

the culture as they are in this moment, which makes sense.

And it happens every four years.

But even after this, they'll like have the commercials and all of that.

And I just hope that that moment lasts as long as it possibly can because I think it's, it's so great for them, but it's also really good for us and the country.

Agreed.

Because they really are positive, deserving, you know, people like they

not like, I have no issue with this girl, but like Hoctua gets more for saying that.

I have no issue with her either.

Actually, and I've seen a lot of clips of her and she seems like she has such a good head on herself.

Agreed.

Like such a nice girl.

And she's handling all of this like so well.

And I have no issue with her.

It's more so like with spitting on a cock, with the culture that like that's what we prop up.

No, I agree.

And I've seen videos of her too.

I think she's giving so much back to her community.

Like, no, she's not.

She's not at all what I thought she would be

based on what coincidentally, she happens to be like so deserving of all of this and is doing so much good with it.

And I'm so glad because she could have just been like a moron and she's so not.

She's very humble.

She loves her community.

She keeps giving back.

She's very charitable.

I completely agree.

But like, let's.

But that's not why they plucked her out.

No, they plucked her out because she was like this hot girl talking about like cock sucking.

Right.

Right.

But she showed them.

Yeah.

Agreed.

Which I actually'm not putting her down.

Not at all.

I think she's fabulous.

I hope she gets every opportunity and I love that like and I hope she's famous for a long time.

I think she will because it seems like she's playing it really well and people aren't over it and it's not like a five-minute thing.

Yep.

She's doing like so much.

Yep.

So

rest of the Olympics recap, a little cute Olympics news, Olympic village news, the Olympic rower in America just proposed to his girlfriend after winning the gold medal.

So after becoming part of the first U.S.

men's rowing team to win a gold medal since 1960, the men's four-rower appeared on the Today Show alongside his girlfriend where he surprised her by getting down on one knee and asking the smoothest, the easiest question of his life, he said.

This is what Cody Simpson should do.

Like on the good day, Australia.

No, but he can't because like he's not the Olympian.

So then he's taking away from her moment.

Oh, so true.

Like if the girl...

She could propose.

Say Simone and Jonathan were just like dating and then he proposed at the Olympics, I think everyone would hate it.

Yeah, icky, sticky, sticky.

Icky sticky.

That would be Cody.

No, that's a good point.

That's a good point.

This is so cute.

Like people.

I'm going to make my big moment about you, not I'm going to make your big moment about me.

I think the reason I love the Olympics so much is because like I think it's this really big deal.

And the people who are there also like understand how big of a deal it is.

Like nobody's too.

Cool.

Like I was even watching Peacock.

They had this like team USA party and all the basketball players were there and they were interviewing Kevin Durant and I guess like he loves the Olympics.

This is his fourth one.

He's obsessed.

It's like his favorite thing about being an NBA player.

And the interviewer was like, you're like the Olympics guy.

Like, why?

And it was just so cool to see someone get excited about something.

It's hard to make Kevin Durant excited.

Yeah, you could go to the Oscars.

You could go to the White House.

Like, he goes everywhere.

And this excites him.

And it's because, like, and it's so pure.

It's not like it's so glitzy and glammy.

It's like just different people from different countries, you know, different life experiences, all bonding over.

Like, it's just so sweet.

I love it.

Like, and everybody who's there loves it.

Like, even when you were saying Coco Goff and LeBron James, two people who, even yesterday, we were talking about Novak Djokovic, like people who have accomplished everything.

Like, it's hard to impress, but even those people love the Olympics.

Like, I just love it.

Yeah.

I love it.

Bringing people together.

I think we've got one.

I know.

It's not a lot of time left.

A couple days.

I know.

And gymnastics is done now.

But I think there's a lot of still really big things happening, especially in track and field and basketball, which like the USA is like kind of everything.

Track and field has been fun to watch.

Agreed.

Oh, and also a lot, some more little Olympics news.

That Italian pole vault jumper who's

knocked down the pole.

And he went viral because he, and I just want to say, like, and he finally gave a statement being like, it's really unfortunate.

Like my penis is the thing that it's not like you have like this huge penis.

I just want to say like it's funny, but at the end of the day, like you didn't do the vault because you're not good enough.

Like, sorry, not to be so mean.

And you should be happy, actually, that the thing, you weren't going to get the pole vault anyway because you're clearly not skilled.

It's not like this new penis.

You've had the penis the whole time.

So you weren't going to win, but you had a viral moment.

He's getting offers from like all these adult like yeah that he got a 250 000 offer from an adult website to show his junk and he just like he's being like woe is me in his statements and i just like i don't agree because If it wasn't your penis, it was going to be something else.

You're obviously not skilled enough to have won.

Yeah.

You haven't, you trained with this penis.

His penis didn't just grow overnight.

I just want to say the penis didn't even look that big.

Like he wasn't, he was very close to the bar.

If it wasn't his penis, it would have been his knee.

Like, please.

Yeah.

Please.

Yeah.

And was he even close to meddling?

I don't know, but like he didn't meddle.

So yeah.

So at least he did.

So like it's all funny, but when you boil it down, like you didn't meddle, not because of your penis, but because you sing.

In that one moment, like it was the penis that took down the penis.

But if it wasn't the penis, it would have been something else.

It would have been the tip of your nose.

But he might have not cleared the next one anyway because he barely cleared this one.

Correct.

Understood.

So that's your Olympic street cap.

That's your show.

I feel like from where we started, like I don't even know what we were talking about, to where we ended.

Like we covered so much in today's episode.

And I peed right before the podcast, and I was like, honestly, like, I don't even know what the hell I'm going to talk about today.

Like, I didn't have any hot takes and any subjects I wanted to talk about.

But let me tell you, we covered a wide range of topics.

That's classic toast.

Are you okay?

No, I'm in so much pain.

I can't even sit here.

I don't know why.

I don't know why.

Tomorrow I will.

You need to sit on a pillow or something.

No, and also, I'm sitting in between the crack of the couch.

That's not helping.

I also realized something about these tables.

I figured out how to make them go up and down while staring at them.

They go up and down.

Well, we're going to have major adjustments here, clearly, and we'll see you tomorrow.
